Shaloon, brother sansis this we thank God for yet another
-
beautiful opportunity to see the day and to experience the
-
goodness of God for our lives and our families. Blessed
-
be the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ,
-
even as he has protestined us for the adoption unto
-
himself as sons through Jesus Christ. God, bless you for
-
connecting with Harvest Chapel International Dynami Kumasi. Remember that every
-
moment spent with God has time with investing. Let's share
-
a word of prayer. Father, we thank you again even
-
for this morning and for the word that you have
-
for us. You have made us know that you do
-
not speak in a vacuum, and so we know that
-
this morning's word is directed to each and every single
-
here that is connecting this very moment. Who pray for
-
your spirit to open up our understanding that we may
-
be able to receive in form or that you have
-
for us this morning and go out there to practice
-
it in Jesus name. Amen, this is your brother, Pastor Jeff,
-
and it's a pleasure to bring you the Word of
-
God for our morning glory devotion. Today. Let's take our
-
confession together from the Book of Joshua, chapter one, verse eight.
-
This book of the Law shall not depart out of
-
my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night,
-
that I may observe to do according to all that
-
is written in it. For then I will make my
-
will cross pross, and then I will have good success. Hallelujah.
-
The topic for our morning devotion today is no turning
-
back from the path of faith, no turning back from
-
the path of faith. We'll take our scripture reading from
-
Second Corinthians chapter four. Read from the verse seven through
-
to the verse eighteen. Second Corinthians, Chapter four, the verse
-
seven through to the verse eighteen. I read from the
-
New King Jim's version. But we have this treasure in
-
Ethan vessels, that the excellence of the power may be
-
of God and not of us. We are hard pressed
-
on every side, yet not crushed. We are perplexed but
-
not in despair, persecuted but not forsaking, struck down but
-
not destroyed, always carrying about in the body the dying
-
of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may
-
be manifested in our body. For we who live are
-
always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life
-
of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
-
So then death is working in us, but life in you.
-
And since we have the same spirit of faith. According
-
to what is written, I believed, and therefore I spoke,
-
we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that he who
-
raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up
-
with Jesus, and will present us with him. For all
-
things are for your sakes. The grace having spread through many,
-
may cause thanksgiving to our bound to the glory of God.
-
Therefore we do not lose heart, even though our outward
-
man is perishing. Yet the inward man is being renewed
-
day by day for our light affliction, which is but
-
for a moment, as working for us a far more
-
exceeding and eternal weight of glory. While we do not
-
look at the things which are seen, but other things
-
which are not seen. But the things which are seen
-
are temporary, but the things which are not seeing are
-
a turner a man. There's a very common song of
-
devotion and dedication that I believe a lot of us
-
have sung before and are very familiar with. The lyrics,
-
and I just want to share the lyrics with us.
-
The song is I have decided to follow Jesus, no
-
turning back. I have decided to follow Jesus. The Cross
-
before me and the world behind me. I have decided
-
to follow Jesus. No none go with me. I will
-
still follow. I have decided to follow Jesus. This is
-
definitely a good song for all of us soldiers and
-
warriors of Christ and of the Cross. We are able
-
to connect with the cross because it symbolizes our feliation
-
to the death of Christ, which is also the reason
-
for the death of our old nature, our past, our flesh,
-
and our charnal nature. Indeed, singing songs like this is
-
good for our own edification, and it's good for our
-
mental posting and orientation. The lyrics of the song is
-
like a creed, a professional confession, and it sums up
-
our sincere desire to fight and to forge ahead on
-
waving from the path of faith that Christ has set
-
before us. Indeed, we know that the road that has
-
been carved out for us is a narrow one, is
-
hard and rough, but the end of it is already known,
-
and the trick to take we are therefore not moved,
-
even though for now it may seem that we are
-
only few who have found this path and have dedicated
-
ourselves to follow after it. Yes, we see that many
-
are going by the broadway, the broadway that our Bible
-
teaches us in the Book of Matthew chapter seven thirteen,
-
that it is a way that leads to distraction. But
-
then for those of us who may be few and
-
have found this narrow path, we know indeed that many
-
have gone ahead of us, who have crossed this path
-
before and have made it. These ones are the ones
-
who surround us and are the great cloud of witnesses,
-
who are cheerleaders and continue to spare us on, telling
-
us in the spirit that we can do it, and
-
we can make it, just as they did. We have
-
an assurance of an end in sight, I hope that
-
will not fail us, a hope that will not make
-
us ashamed. We know that we are just passing through
-
this world, and indeed, sooner rather than later, we will
-
be in a better place. Or whilst we are here,
-
we bear the marks of the true soldiers of Christ Beloved.
-
This is the mindset that we have as well drilled
-
soldiers who are stepping out to face another day. As
-
we set out into another day and into this world,
-
our resolution is that no matter what the world and
-
the day will throw at us, we will not forsake
-
our Jesus and will not forsake the path that He
-
has put us on. Yes, of course, we may know
-
that today we will be a target for persecution and
-
ridicule because of our affiliation and our alignment with the
-
seemingly uncomfortable truth which is Christ. But we are not
-
moved to denounce our faith or the principles of truth
-
that this world that we live in does not want
-
to hear. We choose today as we step out to
-
be the kind of soldiers. We'll put everything on the
-
line for Christ. We may not be literally putting down
-
our lives, but just as Collusions, chapter three, verse three says,
-
we are dead and our lives are now hit with
-
Christ in God. So all we are going to do
-
today as we step out is to carry the truth
-
of God with all boldness and with courage to practice
-
and live out the truth so that the world may
-
see the difference. We resolve to continue to teach and
-
to preach the truth, preach holiness, and sanctification, even in
-
this very world and environment which is not ready to
-
accept it. We put us our earthly titles and reputation
-
so that our general, who is Christ, may be glorified.
-
We are stepping out there today to fight every opposition
-
that will come against the truth and the gospel of
-
Jesus Christ, knowing that even as we do so, we
-
may win some for the Lord and shame the devil
-
and break his hold or our many of our friends,
-
our family and loved ones. Because we are not ashamed
-
of the Gospel, which is the power of God to
-
bring salvation onto all men. We are delighted in the
-
prospects that, indeed we have been enlisted into Christ's army,
-
and there's no way that we are turning back from
-
the fight that is ahead of us. We are encouraged,
-
indeed to go out to wage a good warfare, and
-
to fight this good fight, knowing that God, who is
-
our strength by his Holy Spirit, is accompanying us day
-
by day, even in Jesus name, Amen, God, bless you beloved.
-
Want to take our memory verse for the morning. I
-
pray that even us we take this together, and as
-
you go through your day, you memorize it and meditate
-
on it, that God would minister with the scripture to
-
you our memory. Verse for the Morning is taken from
-
the Book of Hebrews, chapter twelve, verse two. Hebrews, Chapter twelve,
-
verse two. Looking onto Jesus, the Author and finisher of
-
our faith, who for the joy that was said before him,
-
and endure the cross, despising the same, and has sat
-
down at the right hand of the throne of God.
-

the right hand of the throne of God. Hallelujah, Amen.
-
This morning, we also look to Jesus, and we look
-
at the joy that is ahead of us. Because of
-
this victory, we also assured of our own victory in
-
Jesus' name. God bless you so much for joining in
-
this morning glory devotion. We know that God has ministered
-
to you, and God has empowered you as a true
-
soldier to go out there and to live for the truth.
