MGD: Rest for the Weary Soul - 2

Beloved, shalom, end of blessed day to you with thank

God for this opportunity to share in fellowship in His word,

and welcome to our morning glory devotion. Here I have

a chapel international commerci. This is Pasta Jeffrey and Marsa,

and I'll be facilitating this episode. Let us pray, Father,

we thank you, will bless you for your word and

your revelation at this time. We pray that it will

their faith in our hearts, and that your grant a's

greece to go out there and do what your word says.

In Jesus Mighty name a man. Let's take our confession

together from Joshua chapter one, The Best eight. This book

of the Law shall not depart out of my mouth,

but I shall meditate in it day and night, that

I may observe to do according to all that is

written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous,

and then I will have good success A man beloved.

The topic for this episode is a Rest for the

Weary Soul Part two. Rest for the Weary Soul Part two,

or take our scripture reading from Matthew chapter eleven, The

Best Twined eight to thirty. Come to me, all you

who labor and a heavy leaden, and I will give

you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,

for I am gentle and lonely in heart. And you

will find a rest for your souls. For my yoke

is easy and my bed is light, a man rest

for the weary soul. Part two. In the previous episode

and Lessen, we lend about the invitation of Jesus. Come

to me and I will give you a rest. We

lend about the weariness of the soul and how it

affects our mind, hearts, and emotions. Today's listen, we'll focus

on what happens when we respond to that call and

invitation to come for rest in Jesus. Believe that Jesus

does not only invite us to come onto him, he

also shows us how to find rest. From our scripture reading,

Jesus firstly says, take ma yuke upon you. This reveals

that a rest comes through surrender. To take his yoke

means to come under his leadership and to become a disciple,

to surrender control of our lives to him. This is

where many of us struggle. We want relief, but we

still want to have control. We want God to help us,

but we hesitate to fully trust Him with all our plans,

our fears, or decisions. True rest cannot coexist with divided control, Beloved,

When we hold on tightly to our own way, we

carry on necessary burdens. But when surrender fully, something begins

to change and the weight begins to lift again. Jesus said,

learned from me. By saying this, Jesus is teaching that

rest is not just an experience, it is a lifestyle.

Lend from Jesus. Consider his life on death. He was

the busiest person alive. He was constantly busy, ministering to

the crowds, healing the sick, teaching, traveling from one place

to another, facing opposition. Yet he was never overwhelmed. Why

because he lived in perfect alignment with his father God.

Jesus was not driven by pressure, He was not controlled

by people's expectition. He moved with purpose, peace and in direction.

When we learn from Jesus, we begin to live differently.

We cease to please everyone, and in that, Beloved, our

soul finds rest through peace. Then Jesus says again, for

I am gentle and lonely in heart, this is a

comforting truth. Jesus is not harsh with the wary. He

does not condemn those who struggle. He is ever compassionate,

patient and kind. He is strong enough to carry the

beddings and still tender enough to understand our pain. We

see this throughout his life. He calmed the fearful disciples

in the storm. He gently corrected and comforted Martha. He

offered hope and dignity to the Samaritan woman. Everywhere he

went he met people in their brookenness and gave them rest.

And this same is true today. We can come to

Jesus exactly as we are tired, confused, deadened, and we

will not be rejected. We will be received. Beloved, Jesus

is the one who gives this promise that we will

find rest for our souls. This is not a temporary relief,

This is deep, lasting rest. True rest is not found

in escaping lives problems. It is found in exchanging burdens.

You bring your wariness, He gives you his peace. You

bring your anxiety. He gives you his assurances. You bring

your weaknesses. He gives you his strength. Beloved, whatever is

weighing on your soul today, Jesus, the saying, come to me,

Come with everything, hold nothing back. Trust him completely, because

the one who invites you to come is also the

one who will carry you, and in him, your weary

soul will finally find rest. In Jesus, name a man.

Let's take our memory verse for the Morning from Matthew

chapter eleven, the verse twenty eight. Come to me, all

you who labor and are heavy leading, and I will

give you rest. Come to me, all you who labor

and a heavy leaden, and I will give you rest

a man. Let's pray further. We thank you for this

word in season. We thank you for this invitation of rest.

As we come, just as we are. Let there be

an exchange. Let there be true rest that will last
