  1. Bless the Lord, oh my soul and all that is

  2. within me. Bless his holy name. Shalom, family, and welcome

  3. to today's morning glory devotion. This is the Bruce Smith

  4. from Harvis Shapeled International Commercy, and it is a privilege

  5. to be facilitating today's devotion. Let us kindly share a

  6. word of prayer. Gracious Father, but thank you for the

  7. gift of life. We pray and commit our time in

  8. your word into your hands. Brood over russle, God, cause

  9. your life to shine on our heart and transform us

  10. by the power of your word. In Chess's mighty name,

  11. we pray with thanksgiving. Amen. That is kindly a firmal

  12. confession from Joshua, chapter one, verse eight. Joshua chapter one,

  13. verse eight. This book of the Law shall not depart

  14. out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in a

  15. day and night that I may observe to do according

  16. to all that is written in it. For then I

  17. will make my way prosperous, and then I will have

  18. good success a man. The theme for today's devotion is

  19. the Word that gives Life. The Word that gives Life

  20. written by Joshua Amebia Law and a scripture reading is

  21. taken from John chapter one, verse one through verse five.

  22. John chapter one, verses one to five. I'll be reading

  23. from the New Living Translation. In the beginning, the Word

  24. already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word

  25. was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God

  26. created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.

  27. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and

  28. his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in

  29. the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. Here

  30. ends the reading of the Word, and all shall respond.

  31. Thanks be to God. Amen. The Word that gives life,

  32. The Word that gives life. We love it. When we

  33. talk about the Word, we are usually talking about two

  34. things which are actually the same. In one sense. We

  35. are talking about the Holy Bible, or the Holy Scriptures

  36. that we all hold in our hands today. Apostle Peter

  37. says about the Holy Scriptures in tewod Peter chapter one,

  38. verse twenty and twenty one that above all you must

  39. realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the

  40. prophet's own understanding or from human initiative. No, those prophets

  41. were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.

  42. So the Bible we hold in our hands is not

  43. an ordinary book. It is a record of the things

  44. that God, the creator of the world and everything in it,

  45. wants to say and communicate to us, the things He

  46. wants us to know about himself, the world we live in,

  47. the sin that plaques it in ourselves. In another sense,

  48. when we talk about the Word, we are also referring

  49. to the person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

  50. This is best seen in the fourteen verse of John

  51. chapter one, where it says the Word became flesh and

  52. made his dwelling amongst us. We have seen his glory,

  53. the glory of the one and only Son from the Father,

  54. full of Christ and truth. Amen. We are told from

  55. verse four of today's Scripture reading that it is the

  56. Word that gave life to everything that was created. While

  57. it is sometimes difficult to properly and fully define what

  58. life is today, I want us to consider two key

  59. aspects of what life is defined as. First, life is

  60. to bring into existence, or to cause something to exist. Second,

  61. life is to cause something to prosper in its purpose,

  62. to cause something to grow in a particular or desired direction,

  63. to fulfill a certain purpose. So when we look at

  64. the story of creation and Genesis chapter one, we see

  65. that God caused everything to exist by first speaking it out,

  66. but then He had a specific purpose and a design

  67. for everything he made, so existing of being here like

  68. we all are, is just one aspect of the equation

  69. of what we mean when we talk about the word

  70. given life. The other equally important aspect of the life

  71. the Word gives is giving us insight into the reason

  72. and purpose of our existence and bringing meaning into our lives.

  73. And it is only by knowing the purpose of our

  74. lives that we can truly prosper. Out of the life

  75. that the Word gives is the light of salvation that

  76. is available to everyone through our Lord Jesus Christ. This

  77. light was necessary because of the darkness of death that

  78. sin brought into the world, and it is with this

  79. light that we can even begin to truly see and

  80. work the part of God's purples for our lives and

  81. prosper Beloved, At one point or another in your life,

  82. you may have wandered what the point of everything we

  83. go through in the world is. You may have had

  84. many questions about your life and the world that has

  85. plagued you. Sadly I can give you the answers to

  86. all the questions you have about life, and no life

  87. coach or spiritual guru anywhere truly can either. But fortunately,

  88. what I can do is tell you where and with

  89. whom you can find the answers that you need in

  90. order to truly live and prosper here on earth any eternity. Yes,

  91. there is a sure way to obtain the answers you need,

  92. and that is by going to the one who made

  93. and designed it all. He is the only one who

  94. has all the right answers, and he has made these

  95. answers accessible to us through his word. Beloved, we must

  96. remember that the Word does not only give life, but

  97. is necessary for sustaining life. Like our logiesus said in

  98. Matthew chapter four, verse four, in response to the devil's dentation,

  99. man shall not leave by bread alone, but by every

  100. word that proceeds from the mouth of God. We cannot

  101. and must not, under any circumstance neglect the Word if

  102. we are to prosper and thrive in God's purpose for us.

  103. In much the same way as we put in effort

  104. and consideration into physically feeding ourselves every day, we must

  105. also dedicate ourselves to daily feeding ourselves on the Word. Also,

  106. if you are not sure how to even begin to

  107. reach the one who made everything and gives life, then

  108. please know that it begins by simply saying a sincere

  109. prayer of repentance and reconciliation, by acknowledging you are a sinner,

  110. accent for and receiving pardon from God through the sacrifice

  111. of Jesus Christ, and accepting Jesus Christ into your heart

  112. as your Lord and savior. A man. Let us take

  113. our memories for today from John chapter six, verse sixty three.

  114. John chapter six, verse sixty three, reading from the New

  115. King James version. It is the spirit who gives life.

  116. The flesh offers nothing. The worst that I speak to

  117. you are spirit, and they are life. It is the

  118. spirit who gives life. The flesh profess nothing. The worst

  119. that I speak to you are spirit and the air life.

  120. A man, let us kind of share a word of prayer. Father,

  121. we thank you for your word for us today. We

  122. thank you for the privilege to be called your children

  123. and for your word that you have made available to us.

  124. Help us commit to daily feeding ourselves on your word,

  125. and as we do so, please reveal yourself to us

  126. and help us to prosper and thrive as we work

  127. according to your purpose for our lives in Jesus's mighty name,

  128. with pray, with thus giving a man, thank you for

  129. listening and for staying tune for today's episode. You want

  130. to still stay connected as we have more spirit fueled

  131. content on Radio ACAI today until we come your way

  132. once again tomorrow morning. At the same time, do I'm

  133. still blessed and have a blessed and fruitful day in

  134. Man
