MGD: Don't Be Trapped

Please let wisdom be imparted to us to guide us

in our every decision in Jesus' name. Amen, Amen beloved,

let us kindly see our confession together from Joshua Chapter one,

Verse aid, this book of the Law shall not depart

out of one my mouth. But I shall meditate in

it day and night, that I may observe to do

according to all that is ratten in it. For then

I'll make my way cross fer us, and then I

would have good Amen. Yeah. One. The topic for today's

discussion is don't be trapped. Don't be trapped, and our

scripture reading is taken from Look chapter fifteen, verses eleven

to nineteen. I read it from the New English translation.

Look chapter fifteen, verses eleven to nineteen. Then Jesus said

a man had two sons. The younger of them said

to his father, father, give me the share of the

estate that will belong to me. So he divided his

asses between them. After a few days, the younger son

guarded together all he had and left on a journey

to a distant country. And there he squandered his world

with his wild lifestyle. Then, after he spent everything, a

severe famine took place in that country, and he began

to be in need. So he went and worked for

one of the citizens of the country, who sent him

to his fields to feed pigs. He was longing to

eat the charld pods. The pigs were eaten, but no

one gave him anything. But when he came to his senses,

he said, how many of my father's hide works have

food enough to spare, But here I am dying from hunger.

I will get up and go to my father and

say to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and

against you. I no longer am worthy to be called

your son. Treat me like one of your hight sevants

Don't be trapped? Have you ever a pause to think

about your daily choices and what their outcomes would be.

There are so many things calling for our attention and

resources every day, but our very lives, time, money, and

other resources are limited and cannot satisfy every demand. Each

one of us makes choices now and then and inevitably

forgoes alice. But it's needful to question where our decisions

are leading us. It will interest you to know that

life decisions are never experimental. They are no clinical trials.

We definitely will end up living with the outcomes of

our decisions. The outcomes are other experimental resources you can

easily discard and start all over again. That is why

we must be intentional about every decision of today. Consider

the plight and the misery of the younger of the

two sons, of whom Jesus told a parable in Luke,

chapter number fifteen, verse eleven through thirty two. His predicament

is a hard lesson enough to know that not every way,

not every dream, not every aspiration or option that appeals

to our senses, ego or emotions is worth pursuing. A

son whose father owns many sevens is having plenty of

food to eat and even more to spay, now finds

himself caring for pigs in a strange land and experiencing

a near death hunger to the extent of desiring the

food giving to the pigs. But he was enough, absolutely unimaginable,

But that was the reality he had to face for

his decisions to move to a far country with an

inheritance that was not even due him yet, just so

he could have his own way instead of being under

the control and care of his father. Beloved, you have

an opportunity to make amends today if you are on

any wrong part way of life. The prodigal's son received

his decision and returned home. You can't do that today

before it's too late. Are you aware that there is

a vas for your creation and a time bound purpose

for your existence. None of us has any idea when

we will exit this world to give account of our

lifetime choices, Beloved, This life is too short to be

spent time and tasting everything that is seemingly captivating. It's

too precious and brief to spend chasing everything that is

attractive at the expense of your real purpose, the makers

intention for your creation. Preasures one, don't allow yourself to

get caught up following other people to their destinations if

they are not going in your direction. Pathways and move on.

Don't allow yourself to be caught up in pleasing others,

even when your engagements with them is counterproductive to your destiny.

You can't use them as an excuse one day. You

can't blame any one when in regret it might just

be too late to start again on the right pathways,

the ways of purpose and destiny, the ways of the Creator.

So len to say goodbye if and when you have to.

Like the case of the prodigal son, the things that

appeal to us today may not ultimately provide a kind

of pleasure we expect from them. True and long lasting

pleasure can only be derived from fulfilling the Creator's intention

for our lives. True satisfaction in this life can only

be derived from staying in the pathways God desires for you.

All else are just traps to keep you away from

your true self as designed by the Creator. So when

next you are making a choice, be intentional. Avoid getting

trapped by sensuality, seek to please the Maker, and you

forever live enjoy and fulfillment. God bless you beloved. Let's

take our memory verse together from Proverbs Captain number sixteen,

the verse twenty five from the American King James version.

He says, there is a way that seems right to

a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Belive a less shay with a prayer. Father, Please thank

you for exposing us to the implications of our daily decisions.

Our prayer is that you give us wisdom to make

the right choices on a daily basis, the choices that

will lead us into fulfilling our purposes, choices that will

avoid or regret, choices that will bring fulfillment, and ultimately,

choices that will please you. Father. Will thank you in

Jesus might say Name, Amen and Amen.

Love it. Indeed, true satisfaction in this life I can

only be truly derived from staying in the pathways of

God's desires. For you go out there and choose the
