MGD: Our Guide in the Wilderness

Pleas the Lord, oh my soul and all that is

within me, plus his holy name, Sharon Beloved. My name

is Amanda Baidu from Harvest Chapelain International Dayamiko Marsi, and

I'll be facilitating today's morning glory devotion. Kindly, let us

pray our Heavenly Father. We thank you so much for today.

Thank you for such a beautiful mourning and the opportunity

to study your word. We ask that you open the

eyes of our understanding and help us to imbbe this

word and grant us the grace to apply its truths

to our lives. In Jesus, Amen be love at Please

let's take our confession from the Book of Joshua, chapter one,

verse eight. This book of the Law shall not depart

out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it

day and night, that I may observe to do according

to all that is written in it. For then I

will make my way prosperous, and then I will have

good success, Amen Beloved. Our topic for today is titled

our Guide in the Wilderness, Our Guide in the Wilderness,

and our scripture reading is taken from Deturnomy, chapter eight,

verse twelve to seventeen. When you have eaten in our

phone and have built beautiful houses and dwelling them, And

when your heads and your flocks multiply, and your silver

and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have

is multiplied, when your heart is lifted up, and you

forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of

the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, who

led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which

were fiery serpents and scorpions, and festy land where there

was no water, who brought water for you out of

the flinty rock, who fed you in the wilderness with

manner which your fathers did not know, that He might

humble you, and that he might test you to do

you good In the end, then you say in your heart,

my power and the might of my hand have gained

me this wealth. Amen, our guide in the wilderness, beloved.

What a blessing we have in Jesus. What a privilege

it is to walk through the maze of life with

God on our side guiding us every step of the way.

The scripture highlights the genie of the Israelies. Through the wilderness,

they encountered a lot of dangers fiery serpents, scorpions, luck,

and fear. It is interesting that after God delivered them

from slavery and bondage in the hands of the Egyptians,

instead of taking them immediately to the Promised Land, he

led them through a wilderness. During this period, he taught

them about himself and also about the condition of their hearts.

He revealed their addiction to idolatry, disobedience, doubts, sins, pride,

and also taught them that He is a provider, a protector,

a forgiver, a teacher, and a guide. Brethren. Life is

sometimes like a wilderness, where there are many dangers, scarcity, anxieties, luck, enemies,

and all manner of troubles. But just like the Israelites,

even after God has delivered us from the Kingdom of darkness,

we can still go through different wildernesses of our own.

But we can take comforts from the facts that just

like He didn't abandon them, He will not leave us alone, Beloved.

No matter how hard our wilderness seasons are, God still

has a purpose for us. He often uses those seasons

to teach us how to depend on Him and how

to be separated and consecrated onto Him. So let us

not be discouraged. We have the Lord on our side,

and he will be our guide. He wants to train

us to build a relationship with him where we are

totally dependent on him, more than what we can get

from his hand. He yeens for us to seek his face.

We must be willing to die to the self in

whatever wilderness we find ourselves in, and tend to depend

on him true, letting go of all the idols in

our hearts, like the pride of life, the last of

the flesh, and the last of the eye, exchanging our

old selves for our true identity in Christ, Jesus be

love it. The Lord will be our guide, even in

the wilderness, protecting, transforming, and providing for us, until we

become like Him in our hearts and in our lives.

verse eleven. The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy

your soul in drought and strengthen your bones. You shall

be like a watered garden, and like a spring of

water whose waters do not fail. Amen. Please, let's pray, Papa.

We thank you for this reminder that in whatever season

we are, you are still our guide, and you will

help us to navigate every tough season in life. We

pray a record that you teach us to truly abandon

ourselves to you, that we may be transformed daily to

become like Christ in Jesus' name. Prayer with thanksgiving, Amen,
