at Harvest Chapel International Kumasi. This is Pastor and Mrs.

Amwasa facilitating this morning's glory devotion. We trust that even

as we go through the scriptures together, God will open

our eyes and cause us to see wondrous things in

His law Let's share a word of prayer. Our dear Lord,

we thank you so much for this time in your scriptures.

We pray that it shall inspire faith unto us and

help us to be doers of what we hear this morning.

In Jesus' name, Amen. Let's take our confession together from

Joshua chapter 1, verse 8. This book of the law

Joshua 1:8

shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall

meditate in it day and night. that I may observe

to do according to all that is written in it.

For then I will make my way prosperous, and then

I will have good success. Amen. The topic for this

morning is Be There for Someone. Be There for Someone.

We'll take our scripture reading from Proverbs chapter 11, the

Proverbs 11 · chapter mention

verse 25. The generous will prosper. Those who refresh others

will themselves be refreshed. The generous will prosper. Those who

refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

Amen.

Be there for someone. Life has its difficult moments and seasons.

Life can really hit us hard when we least expect it.

Many have faced and are having to deal with many issues,

including the loss of loved ones, failed examinations, disappointments from interviews,

cancellation of contracts, turmoil in marriage, and financial crisis. We

often find ourselves weighed down, depressed, and confused. We get

angry at ourselves and even get angry at God. This

can often lead to a crisis of faith. A lot

of people wear and force through a smile every day

on the outside, but are broken down on the inside.

The usual cliché greeting, how are you, is always followed

by its cliché response, I am fine. We all try

to be strong, even when there isn't enough strength with

a thing to draw from. Fighting the battles of life

can be twice as hard when it has to be

done alone. but unfortunately this is the posture that many

have taken. In our homes and even in church, there

are many of us who have kept our stories, struggles

and pains to ourselves. Many have taken a stand to

walk alone and to be alone because for as long

as they can imagine, no one has ever extended a

helping hand over to them. We are indeed a lonely generation.

With all our innovations in technology and all the available

tools for communication, we are rather getting further and further

away from one another. Believe it or not, there are

families where there is a lonely spouse, a lonely brother,

or a lonely sister. In church, there is a lonely

praise and worship leader or chorister, a lonely usher, a

lonely youth member, and there are lonely pastors. Beloved, God

calls us as believers to reach out to others. This

is a beautiful way of showing God's love to those

who are close to us. There is always a helping

hand and a listening ear we can afford to give.

In these times when we are all facing tough times,

we need to empathize with one another and be generous

with our quality time for others. Be generous with our

love towards others. Be generous with our words of comfort

and encouragement for others. As much as we can afford

and even beyond our ability, be generous to share even

materially with others who may not have. The expression of

our faith is not only in its profession and confession,

but it is evident in how we exhibit love practically.

Simple things like a phone call to a brother or

sister you haven't seen in a while, seeing someone off

in conversation after a service, inviting a brother or a

family home to share a meal, sincerely asking about how

the working day or the school day had been, following

up on a previous conversation with a brother or sister.

Random acts of kindness can always go a long way

to bless someone tremendously and let down some of the

weight that many carry. We can also prophesy and continue

speaking the scriptures to one another as a source of encouragement,

praying and interceding through for others who are bad is

our calling as believers. Beloved, let us strive to be

there for one another It is divine to do so.

And as the scriptures say, learn to do good, seek justice,

correct oppression, bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's case.

As we refresh others, we will also be refreshed. In

Jesus' name, Amen. God bless you.

Beloved, let us take our memory verse. From Galatians chapter

Galatians 6:2

6 verse 2. Share each other's burdens and in this

way obey the law of Christ. Share each other's burdens

and in this way obey the law of Christ.

Amen.

Let us share a word of prayer. Our Lord and

Master Jesus, we thank you for your word that has

come to us. Grant us the grace and the discernment

to be there for others. In Jesus' mighty name.
