-
the Nyame Kumasi, on the Sunset Hotel Road, Welcome to
-
to Logos Rima Al with God's servant, Reverend Dr. Joseph Baalbin,
-
Head Pastor of Harvest Chapel International Kumasi. And now, to
-
today's message.
-
Let's take our confession, Joshua 1 verse 8, this book
-
of the Lord shall not depart out of my mouth,
-
but I shall meditate in it day and night. that
-
I may observe to do according to all that is
-
written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous,
-
and then I will have good success. Amen. Why don't
-
you take your seats? So let's continue our discourses on
-
order in giving. Hallelujah. And we are in Deuteronomy chapter 8,
Deuteronomy 8 chapter mention
-
and we said we are on the pathway to divine wealth.
-
The wealth that God, when God brings into our lives,
-
He says He adds no sorrow to it. He gives
-
us the health, the vitality, and every other thing that
-
we need so we can enjoy it. Amen. Hallelujah. And
-
we are looking at some of the key and the
-
guiding principles for you and I acquiring or having bestowed
-
upon us divine wealth. Amen. God will help you. The
-
Holy Spirit will enable you. He comes alongside as our coach,
-
as our mentor, as our comforter, as our counselor throughout
-
all our lives and sojourning here on earth. Say a
-
big amen. The only reason you will not be able
-
to feel him or he will walk away is when
-
sin comes into your life. When you stop obeying, then
-
I'm afraid you're going to go on a backslide or
-
a downslide You backslide. And even when you are in
-
a backsliding state and the Holy Spirit speaks, you won't
-
hear it. And when you get in that state, it's very,
-
very difficult. Because even if the Holy Spirit is speaking
-
to you, you won't hear. When I come, anybody else
-
to come to me, you won't hear. You won't listen
-
to us. Hallelujah. Amen. Very, very, very important, you know.
-
So he says, be careful. And we know that we've
-
said that word, be careful. It has to do with
-
safeguard it. Hallelujah. Be careful. We said it is that
-
at the cost of your life, put your life on it. Hallelujah. Yes.
-
Put your life on. Defend it. Defend it. When God
-
speaks to you. the commandments, the way we are living
-
our life, people will give us or demand from us
-
a reason and an answer why we live our lives
-
that way. You know, like Satan did to Adam and
-
Eve in the Garden of Eden. Has God said that
-
you should every day be going to church? Has God
-
said that you should be fasting every time? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
-
You know where you are coming from. You know the
-
demons that are chasing you. You know the leading and
-
the guidance of the Holy Spirit. So you can stop
-
flying at night and have all kinds of things chasing you.
-
Not by power, not by mind, but by your spirit.
-
So sometimes the Holy Spirit will take you on a
-
journey of fasting and praying. It's spiritual warfare. You never know.
-
Sometimes you know, you just feel like, I don't feel
-
like eating. I don't feel like eating. I feel like
-
waiting on the Lord. And then there's a staring out
-
to pray and to praise. And somebody who doesn't understand
-
will come in there and say, your church, they like fasting.
-
And I say, for me, that's my experience. That is
-
how we got out of the church. That's how we
-
escaped out of the snare of the fowler. And that's
-
how God broke the net and the chains and liberated us.
-
And that's how come we have been able to by
-
the grace of God and the word of God's authority,
-
be able to get people and a lot of people
-
to flee out of the prison yard of the devil.
-
Not by power, not by might, but by my Spirit.
-
PIP and all those things is leading by the Holy
-
Spirit because of the peculiar challenges that we find ourselves
-
in in our day. Oh my God, that is how
-
the chains of pornography and all the sexual sins have
-
been broken in the lives of people. So when you
-
come and tell me as a pastor that we are
-
fasting too much, we should stop fasting, I just look
-
at you and say, I don't think God sent you.
-
I don't think that God sent you to me. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen.
-
Because the needs, the needs, look, it's not going to
-
be by power, not by might, but the spirit of the...
-
How are we going to be able to do all
-
those things that we... How have we come this far?
-
That's by the opposition. By prayer. Aggressive spiritual warfare. And
-
the same... And then we are not even there. Look
-
at all that is left to do. And then as
-
we are going on, then you look back and then
-
the children also are coming. It's a generational thing. So
-
when are we going to stop... You know, fighting in spiritual,
-
fighting on our knees. As for the fasting, it is
-
an addition to help, help, help, help. The main thing
-
is the prayer. Sometimes you'll be so much agonizing in
-
the spirit that you just feel the hand and the
-
stained hand of God. Can you wait? Can you give
-
me your breakfast? Let me talk to you and let
-
us connect to bind some things and to lose something
-
in the church, in the family, in individual's lives. Then
-
you are there and then God is just sending you.
-
You are seeing pictures of things and pictures of people
-
and names that are resonating in your heart and in
-
your mind. Pray! You never know what they are going through.
-
And God will use that prayer of intercession to just
-
bring deliverance to somebody. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. All because our minds,
-
if you like, our spiritual antennae has been sharpened through
-
the continual conversations we have with God in fasting and
-
in prayer. That's how we are able to obey him. Hallelujah. Amen.
-
And then when you do that, oh my God. As
-
I said, they're children. They're children. If it were me alone, no,
-
but the children, the children. Hallelujah. Amen. So we fight
-
for another generation. That's why we can't stop what we
-
are doing. We can't lay our toes down. We must
-
still stay on our knees and pray. And pray. If
-
they don't get you, don't attack the children. Hallelujah. And
-
just mess up their lives. But you and I. God
-
is a very merciful and compassionate God. As we continue
-
every day, day one, you will see and I say,
-
nothing will happen. And you will see and I say,
-
the children are going wayward. They will be swallowed by
-
the spirit of the tide. But God, who is merciful,
-
will look upon our cries and intercession and send a rescue.
-
That's how it works. Somebody must decide, I'm going to sacrifice.
-
I'm going to pay the price. So somebody might leave.
-
And not die. Hallelujah. Amen. So we looked at that.
-
And then let's look at the next one. That you
-
may live and multiply. So you've seen the steps. The
-
whole commandment, number two. Obedience, number three. The multiplication. And remember,
-
point number two is dependent on number one, isn't it?
-
The whole commandment. And it says what? Be careful to
-
do it. safeguard it. Put your life on it. God
-
said it. I know the voice of my God, my Savior,
-
my Redeemer. I'm not going to allow any other thing
-
to distract me. Hallelujah. God said, don't be unequally yoked
-
with unbelievers. The person is an unbeliever. It doesn't matter
-
how the feelings that I have for that person. They say,
-
the fact that you are in love doesn't mean you
-
should marry that person. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. The capacity of
-
the heart to laugh is big. But it doesn't mean
-
that because you laugh, the person may be a nice guy.
-
We're not saying the people who come, they are not nice.
-
They are nice. But God says no. God says no.
-
That's it. You also say no. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And he says,
-
once you do that, you are careful to safeguard the
-
integrity of God's commandments. My dad said this. When we
-
were kids, didn't we say that? Mommy said no. We
-
won't do it. He says, when you do that, when
-
we are obedient, then the next one happens. You may
-
live and multiply. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. So this is the
-
promise of God. And the first thing I want to
-
say is that kingdom wealth is something that is bestowed
-
by grace. And God is our benefactor. Hallelujah. As we
-
saw in the case of Isaac, it is his to
-
give to whosoever he desires and decides to bless. Divine
-
wealth is discretionary. God is the benefactor. We are beneficiaries.
-
And in the kingdom, New Testament kingdom or life, It's discretionary.
-
Let's get it. Hallelujah. Jesus mentioned it in the parable
-
of the tally. To one, he gave ten. To another, five.
-
To another, two. In another rendition of the same thing,
-
he said, five, two, one. God decides each according to
-
his several abilities. Amen. But the Bible, I think we read,
-
was it 1 Timothy chapter 6 this morning? It says what? But...
1 Timothy 6 chapter mention
-
Godliness and what? Contentment. Godliness and contentment. It's great gain. Contentment.
-
And as Pastor Jeff would say that we have to
-
be careful not to slip into greed and covetousness. The
-
word of God forbids this. So you don't go there
-
and the promise is that you will live and multiply.
-
God decides and he will bestow your portion to you. Hallelujah. Amen.
-
God was promised it to Abraham, and he did it.
-
And we saw the one we read today. Isaac in
-
Genesis 26. Hallelujah. And in Isaac's case, the same thing.
-
We see the same principle of obedience working here. Hallelujah.
-
He says, stay. And he stayed. Stay. The young man.
-
God has not said, go to Afghanistan. Stay in Ghana. Hallelujah.
-
Don't go there and then when you go and the
-
Taliban are worrying you and then you send them friends,
-
I wish you fast and pray for you. We'll fast. Hallelujah. Stay. Hallelujah. Amen.
-
So you position yourself where God wants you to be. Amen.
-
And the conditionality has always been obedience to the voice
-
and the commandments of God. And so I'm saying here,
-
fruitfulness and productivity in the kingdom of God goes with obedience. Hallelujah.
-
And we saw it. You see, in the olden days,
-
human capital was seen as wealth. So you realize that
-
in the Old Testament, they said, and he got a
-
great number of servants. Hallelujah. Because it was the era
-
that slavery was permitted. Hallelujah. Amen. So when they are
-
listing their assets or their wealth, they will mention that
-
we have cattle, we have sheep, and then a lot
-
of servants. Hallelujah. And the same thing, they live and die, multiply.
-
Human capital is the greatest asset to every nation. Amen. Hallelujah.
-
As you look at the wealth, who are the people
-
who are very, very wealthy now? The Chinese. Amen. And
-
then the Indians. Yes. So well, because of what one person,
-
you know, one imaginative person or whatever can bring on board,
-
because the U.S. and also, you realize that they have
-
a lot of people. Amen. Hallelujah. So it's very, very
-
important that we understand what he's saying, so that you
-
will live and multiply. More or less, God is saying
-
that if you follow me, I'm going to enlarge you.
-
And last Wednesday, we were looking at it. It started
-
from Abraham alone, then Abraham alone, Isaac. Isaac had Jacob
-
and Esau. And then Esau, you know, aside then Jacob,
-
also had what? Joseph and his 11 brothers. And then
-
at Egypt, they went to Egypt 70. And then by
-
the time of the Exodus, they were in millions.
-
Hallelujah.
-
You see how God works? Process. And we said, God
-
will increase your finances. Hallelujah. Married couples, when you start,
-
you are two. Amen. When one child comes, I tell you, hallelujah.
-
God is going to increase your resources. If you are
-
serving him, it's just like that. Because God is your dad.
-
Immediately you get married. God is going to find ways,
-
if you are faithful in serving him, to multiply your resources.
-
Now he knows that there are three mouths. To feed. Amen.
-
When they become four, continue to serve. And God will
-
open doors for you to be able to have the
-
resources to feed four people. Say a big amen. It
-
is the blessing of obedience. Staying in God's house and
-
serving him. Bringing talent and treasure. God wants all his
-
children to be serving. No. No. But you, you are
-
a child of God. And you, when you wake up,
-
God says, don't serve. Then me, me too, I'm a
-
child of God. He says, you go and do it.
-
Who do you think he will bless? Amen. Hallelujah. So
-
it's very important that we understand it. Multiplication and increase
-
are therefore signs of divine favor.
-
Amen.
-
Very, very important. And God, once God is favoring you,
-
and remember the blessings of the Lord, he has no
-
sorrow to it. So you just be at peace. Whatever
-
you have, get it again. Amen. Godliness, contentment, process. Hallelujah.
-
Then we are getting there. What God has said. Amen. Amen.
-
So he said that you may live and multiply. And
-
then let's look at the next one. And go in
-
and possess the land. Hallelujah. Amen. Go in and possess.
-
And last Wednesday we were saying it. Now go in
-
and possess. And take note. Let me make this point.
-
For every peculiar blessing that God has for your life,
-
God will give you specific instruction. In Abraham, when we
-
look at Genesis chapter 12, before God could bring him
Genesis 12 chapter mention
-
to the blessings that he had, God gave him a
-
specific instruction. What was it? He said what? Leave. Follow
-
me to the place that I will show. And Abraham
-
did what? Abraham obeyed. Chapter 12 of Genesis. Amen. And
-
gradually God brought him to the blessing. Isaac, the same
-
thing that we read, he said what? He didn't say leave.
-
What did God say? Stay. Amen. Abraham left. And indeed,
-
he said, if you look at the context of Genesis 26,
-
it was trying to say that Isaac was about to
-
copy his dad, Abraham. Remember, Abraham's wealth started increasing rapidly.
-
In Egypt. When he went there. And he said. Sarah
-
is my. Sister. And then. The Pharaoh said. Oh wow.
-
Such a beautiful lady. I like her. And those were.
-
Some of the things. That the despotic kings. Were doing.
-
So he captured her. And when they captured her. They
-
went and put you in the harem. Waiting for the day.
-
That he will remember you. And call you. And defile you.
-
But once he was there. The Bible says. That Pharaoh said.
-
Oh yeah. Papa. Papa. And so he was blessing Abraham. Amen.
-
And he's believe that's where he got agar so pharaoh
-
if you look at it is there pharaoh blessed abraham
-
a lot until he found out hallelujah when strange things
-
started happening to him and he said about you he
-
said Then he said, take everything that we have given you.
-
Pharaoh was hindered from taking back all that. Else he
-
would have taken it back. He meant to have taken
-
it back. If you read it very well. So he said,
-
you go away. And he said, escort him. And he said,
-
take all the things that we gave to you, because
-
you deceived us. And I was every day giving you
-
a quantasica. And instead of telling me that it's my wife,
-
it's my wife, you didn't do it. Take everything away.
-
So by the time he left Egypt, he had been
-
so blessed. Chapter 13 will tell you. Hallelujah. Amen. We
-
are not saying that go and do that. So I'm
-
telling you about the specificity of how God is going
-
to bring you into your blessing. Hallelujah. Amen. So when
-
Isaac purposed to go to Egypt, maybe like his dad,
-
and then God comes on the scene and says, no, stay. Hallelujah. Stay. Amen.
-
Turn to somebody and say, stay. So your blessing is
-
It's tied to that ability to hear what God is saying.
-
Should I go and roam and go and hustle in Europe? No.
-
You must hear before you go. God dislocates people and
-
sends people. The world is God's. As far as I'm concerned,
-
the world is God's. God can decide to send you anywhere.
-
Follow the leading of the Lord. The fact that your
-
friend has gone and has done well doesn't mean that
-
I'm talking to believers. Amen. I'm not talking to hustlers. Amen.
-
And sometimes you hear some of the stories, the harrowing stories.
-
The fact that your friend crossed the, which of the seas?
-
The Mediterranean Sea and landed in Spain. Doesn't mean that
-
you too should go. And then you hear that, oh,
-
when we go, the sea was calm. It doesn't mean
-
that in your case, the sea will be calm. Hallelujah. Amen.
-
So it's very, very, very important as a believer to
-
hear God. What does God say? Where is my prosperity
-
or to what obedient act is my prosperity tied to?
-
That's it. Now Israel is about to enter them. And
-
God didn't say stay. Now he says that do what?
-
Go and possess. Go and fight. And occupy by force.
-
You just do that. Amen. Some of us here, God
-
will say do three jobs. And we'll show you what
-
additional jobs to do. So you can get it. And
-
maybe you'll just stumble on one that is going to
-
bring in all the wealth. Don't say that this person
-
does four jobs, so me too I'm going to do
-
four jobs. And then before you realize it, maybe yours
-
is tied to what you have been doing in church.
-
Every time you come, and then you are mopping. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nah, yeah, man. Oh, oh.
-
So God has something specific for you that immediately you hear,
-
you discern, you connect and do it. That's it. But
-
how are you going to hear? That's the whole thing.
-
That's why they're born again. That's why the Holy Spirit.
-
Number two. Number three. That is why attendance to the
-
school of the Spirit Doing your quiet time. Praying. Reading
-
the word. They are simple things. And then your ability
-
to hear God. God spoke to me this morning. I know.
-
I heard the voice of God. In my spirit. And
-
you direct you what to do. And immediately you are
-
doing it. You find out that there is energy. And
-
there is strength. If you look at all the promises
-
that he, when he elected Joshua to lead it, you
-
hear God. We said this same verse, go in and
-
possess the land. The expedition was led by Joshua. Oh
-
my God. And because they were in the will of God,
-
look at the energies, the empowerment, the enablement that God
-
brought on Joshua and the fighting armies of Israel. Because
-
God was with them. the wealth that God has earmarked
-
for you, if we hear from the Spirit of God
-
exactly what to do, you are going to enter into it.
-
And then, boom. But it's not going to be one process,
-
isn't it? From Isaac. One, two, ten. It reaches a
-
place where there is exponential until we become very, very prosperous.
-
And people will start envying you. Rise up on your feet.
-
Maybe I just want us to pray for that specific
-
word that God has for you that will tip you
-
into divine wealth. Just for 60 seconds, hold somebody's hand.
-
If your spouse is close to you, hold that hand.
-
And shake it there in the air. Just what to do,
-
my God. Just talk to God. Connect with Him. Pray
-
for the one on your right, that one on your left.
-
That word, that word, that word, that word, that word.
-
That will bring order in the name of Jesus. You
-
can't give what you don't have. We give what we have.
-
That word, that will tip us into wealth creation in
-
the name of Jesus, sir. That he do it. And
-
take all the praise. We thank you, Lord. We bless you.
-
In Jesus' mighty name, you want to say a big amen.
-
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Are you heaven-leading?
-
Are you seeking the face of the Lord for a
-
mighty deliverance and breakthrough?
-
Then get ready.
