    Joshua 1:8 Joshua 1:8

  12. chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall

  13. not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate

  14. in it day and night, that I may observe to

  15. do according to all that is written in it. For

  17. will have good success. Amen. Today's message is captioned, Hold Fast,

  18. God is Faithful Hold Fast, God is Faithful A script

  19. written by Mrs. Mary Iffa. And our scripture verses and

  20. scripture reading will be taken from Genesis chapter 35. We'll

    Genesis 35 chapter mention

  21. be reading the verses 5, 12 to 13, 23 to 24,

  22. and then 28. Genesis chapter 37, the verses 5, 12

    Genesis 37 chapter mention

  23. to 13, 23 to 24, and the verse 28. Let

  24. us kindly hear the word of the Lord. Now Joseph

  25. had a dream and he told it to his brothers

  26. and they hated him even more. Then his brothers went

  27. to feed their father's flock in Shechem. And Israel said

  28. to Joseph, Are not your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come,

  29. I will send you to them. So he said to him,

  30. Here I am. So it came to pass, when Joseph

  31. had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of

  32. his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him.

  33. Then they took him and cast him into a pit,

  34. and the pit was empty. There was no water in it.

  35. Verse 28. Then Midianite traders passed by. So the brothers

  36. pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit

  37. and sold him to the Ishmaelites for 20 shekels of silver.

  38. And they took Joseph to Egypt. May the Lord add

  39. his blessing to the reading and hearing of his word.

  40. Thanks be to God. Hold fast. God is faithful. Hold fast.

  41. God is faithful. When the future seems uncertain, when the

  42. path taken and decision made from the onset appears wrong

  43. after many failures and tragedies, when there is no helping

  44. hand and no one to pour out your hearts to,

  45. what do you do and what actions do you take?

  46. In today's scripture, We look at the life of a

  47. young man named Joseph who had lovely dreams and was

  48. assured of God's intentions for his life. Everything seemed fine

  49. from the beginning. But the narrative of his life took

  50. another turn in just a day. His own blood brothers

  51. sold him out to strangers. As if that wasn't enough,

  52. he became a burnt man in another man's land. I

  53. am very certain that he had many questions running through

  54. his mind. How is my life going to turn out?

  55. What happens to my dreams? In all this confusion, Joseph

  56. had a posture. A posture of the heart that said

  57. in all these trials and pain, I still choose God.

  58. I still choose to fear him and follow his ways.

  59. The Bible records that he was tested, but his actions

  60. confirmed his great love and fear for God. A look

  61. as though God was absent and silent all this while,

  62. but he was watching. God rewarded Joseph's obedience towards him

  63. and brought to pass what he told him through dreams

  64. in the early stages of his life. Beloved, God is

  65. not a man that he should lie, as the word

  66. of God reminds us in Numbers chapter 23 verse 18.

    Numbers 23:18

  67. The challenges you may be going through is called process.

  68. The posture of your heart and your actions really matters

  69. in this season of your life. When God comes with

  70. your reward in his hands, will he find you on

  71. his side? Don't be dismayed. Don't be crushed down. God

  72. is much closer than you think. He will glorify himself

  73. in your life. Amen. Today's memory verse is taken from

  74. the book of Hebrews chapter 10 verse 23. Hebrews chapter

    Hebrews 10:23 Hebrews 10:23

  75. 10 verse 23. Reading from the New King James Version.

  76. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering.

  77. For he who promised peace is faithful. Let us hold

  78. fast the confession of our hope with our wavering, for

  79. he who promised is faithful. Let's share a word of prayer. Father,

  80. we are grateful for today's message. It is our prayer
