    Mark 4:36–39

  20. Mark chapter 4 verses 36 to 39. Reading from the

    Mark 4:36–39

  21. New Living Translation. Let us hear the word of the Lord.

  22. So they took Jesus in the boat and started out,

  23. leaving their crowds behind, although other boats followed. But soon

  24. a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into

  25. the boat and it began to fill with water. Jesus

  26. was sleeping at the back of the boat with his

  27. head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up shouting, Teacher,

  28. don't you care that we are going to drown? When

  29. Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to

  30. the waves, Silence, be still. Suddenly, the wind stopped and

  31. there was a great calm. May the Lord add his

  32. blessing to the reading and hearing of his word. Thanks

  33. be to God. Guard your peace. Guard your peace. Sometimes,

  34. when the going gets tough and we seem not to

  35. find solutions to our problems and answers to our questions,

  36. when a certain pattern repeats itself, we are likely to

  37. give fear a seat in our hearts. our faith may

  38. be shaken to the core and our peace completely shattered. Unfortunately,

  39. when peace is lost, nothing gets better except frustrations. Jesus

  40. was right there in the boat with his disciples before

  41. the storm began, but they chose fear over faith and

  42. right there, their peace got shrunk. Jesus came in rebuked

  43. the storm and brought calmness into the boat again. Beloved,

  44. whenever you lose your peace, focusing gets blurred, progressing gets

  45. retarded and other aspects of life comes to a halt.

  46. Peace is that gift of God that fuels your heart

  47. and mind with soundness, joy, calmness and assurance in the

  48. midst of chaos. It keeps you moving even when you

  49. are not sure of the outcome. It does not matter

  50. the battles we fight daily, the disappointment we keep receiving.

  51. We will always have the positive energy to keep hoping

  52. and believing in the ultimate power of God that brings

  53. rest in every area of our life once our peace

  54. is in motion. In moments of turbulence, fear gets heightened.

  55. but let not go of your peace. How do we

  56. guard our peace? By constant fellowship with the Lord, in

  57. prayer and with the Word. You will have daily assurance

  58. that you are not alone, hence no need to be afraid.

  59. You must also be selective with what you listen to,

  60. what you watch, places you visit, and the people in

  61. your circle. Amen. It is time for us to take

  62. our memory verse. And our memory verse will be taken

  63. from 2 Timothy chapter 1 verse 7. 2 Timothy chapter

    2 Timothy 1:7 2 Timothy 1:7

  64. 1 verse 7. Reading from the amplified version. For God

  65. did not give us a spirit of timidity, of cowardice,

  66. of craving and cringing and fawning fear. But he has

  67. given us a spirit of power and of love and

  68. of calm and well-balanced mind. and discipline and self-control. Amen.

  69. Let us share a word of prayer. Lord, thank you

  70. for your peace which surpasses all understanding. We look up

  71. to you daily and we believe our expectations will never

  72. be aborted. Continue to help us to stay peaceful in

  73. every situation. Thank you for your mercies. In Jesus' name. Amen.

  74. God richly bless you, precious one, for staying glued to

  75. today's session. Keep your dial right here for more spirit-filled content.
