  1. I got a couple things I want to hit on

  2. real quick. First of all, for all of you

  3. who had every excuse in the book to stay

  4. at home and yet are here right now, can

  5. we give ourselves a round of applause?

  6. This is a big deal.

  7. I believe I believe the church

  8. experience is something that I'm so glad

  9. that we get to communicate online, but

  10. it's different in person, right? And so

  11. for those of you who were not able to

  12. make it, I totally get it. You got all

  13. the grace, but man, I'm so grateful that

  14. you joined us online today, uh,

  15. seriously, there's a special blessing of

  16. being together as the body of Christ.

  17. And I'm so grateful for those of you who

  18. trudged through the snow, survived the

  19. ice and the roads and the cold and the

  20. wind and we could just keep it going,

  21. right? Like we could go for a little bit

  22. with this. Oh man, for real. Thank you

  23. guys. Uh I want to highlight

  24. specifically our setup tearown team and

  25. uh and and Russ came in here early. He

  26. was helping us shovel, make sure that we

  27. could move it in. Can we give a hand for

  28. Russ to the setup tear down team? Let's

  29. go.

  30. So, last week we had our faith offering

  31. and we had a bigger goal than we ever

  32. had. If you don't know what the faith

  33. offering is, if this is your first week,

  34. this is it's my favorite offering. It's

  35. my favorite opportunity of the whole

  36. year because we give to local, global,

  37. and future causes. It's beyond

  38. ourselves. And we were able in one

  39. Sunday and one weekend, we raised

  40. $33,000.

  41. $363,

  42. which means we are 1,640,

  43. if I got that right, $637

  44. short.

  45. I wanna I want to invite us. I want to

  46. invite us. If you today the g the the

  47. the the random dollars and stuff like

  48. that that's just going into general our

  49. faith offering is done. But if you want

  50. to if you want to close this thing out

  51. and get us back and get us all the way

  52. up to that 35,000. What that's going to

  53. do is that's going to allow for our full

  54. gift to be able to be given to all of

  55. our uh our project uh partners that we

  56. have all around the world for church

  57. planting, for college ministry, for

  58. helping with those in need, for those

  59. who just lost their homes, for emergency

  60. services, for uh for for those who are

  61. reaching the lost and the unreached

  62. world, for so many different things that

  63. we're doing, including

  64. Project Rescue. So, if you want to help

  65. close that out, we uh I'd love would you

  66. in the offering right in front of you,

  67. you'll see a little offering envelope

  68. and you can designate just write faith

  69. offering on that and that'll help

  70. designate that. I'd love to see if we

  71. can close this out to the full 35,000.

  72. Once again, this is not coming to

  73. collective. This is going through

  74. collective. It's a much higher purpose.

  75. If you want to uh if if you want to live

  76. for beyond yourselves, don't just let it

  77. be done in your actions. Let it be done

  78. in your finances. Let it be done not

  79. just on Sundays. Let it be done all week

  80. long. This is why Jesus says in Matthew

    Matthew 25:35

  81. 25:35,

  82. and you don't have this on the screen. I

  83. literally just I I just found out I was

  84. doing that this this morning. So, uh you

  85. don't got it. Don't worry. Jesus said

  86. this. He says, "I was hungry

  87. and you gave me food. I was thirsty and

  88. you gave me drink. I was a stranger and

  89. you welcomed me. I was naked and you

  90. clothed me. I was sick and you visited

  91. me. I was in prison and you came to me.

  92. And this is this is what he says it's

  93. going to be like when we meet him for

  94. the first time. And this is the type of

  95. conversation that he's going to have

  96. with us.

  97. And then we respond, "Listen, Jesus,

  98. I got to be honest. I never met a

  99. brown-skinned bearded man that had a

  100. halo on his head, that I gave food to,

  101. that I gave clothes to, that I did any

  102. of that." What are you talking about?

  103. Verse 40, it says,

  104. "Truly I say to you, as you did to one

  105. of the least of these, my brothers, you

  106. did it to me.

  107. these gifts,

  108. this service that these things, this is

  109. what we are called to do, who we are

  110. called to be. And it I believe that the

  111. way we respond in generosity

  112. outside when I am not when I benefit

  113. zero is actually going to tell us more

  114. about our heart and is actually going to

  115. reflect more in that conversation with

  116. the king

  117. once we have passed from here than

  118. most of our actions Jesus says than

  119. almost all of our actions.

  120. So I want to challenge us in that. But

  121. you can give. We got the buckets. Can we

  122. get the ushers here? What I want to be

  123. able to do is I wanna I want to invite

  124. us into an opportunity to give. I want

  125. to invite us into this. This is a time

  126. of worship. And worship is always about

  127. sacrifice. Worship is always about

  128. giving. So I want to pray over this

  129. before we jump in. Heavenly Father, I

  130. thank you. I thank you for the insane

  131. generosity

  132. that we are seeing here at Collective

  133. Church. at this little church is seeing

  134. THE FINGERPRINT OF THIS CHURCH ALL

  135. AROUND THE WORLD and seeing your kingdom

  136. grow and your kingdom advance ALL AROUND

  137. THE WORLD because of the generosity HERE

  138. LORD I PRAY FATHER GOD WOULD YOU HONOR

  139. the gifts would you honor would you

  140. bless the giver God in all the ways

  141. whether it's here whether it's in the

  142. faith offering whether it's in a tithe

  143. or a general gift Lord I pray that

  144. father god would you bring about a

  145. supernatural blessing on these dollars

  146. on each person. We trust you with this

  147. and we submit it all to you. In the

  148. mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

  149. Amen. Guys, I'm so glad. I cannot

  150. believe that we got 33,000. I just I'm

  151. just blown away by that, guys. I am

  152. insanely I just it I it gets me like

  153. giddy in when I when I when I think

  154. about this. I want to close it out, but

  155. man, I'm just already blown away. Thank

  156. you guys so much for your generosity to

  157. see God use this church for beyond just

  158. us. Uh, but today you are in for a treat

  159. cuz I'm done talking.

  160. Hallelujah. Steve, stop a little slower

  161. with that. Uh, no. Today, I am so

  162. excited.

  163. We get to have one of the first people

  164. that joined us, Morgan and I, in our

  165. living room to dream up what this church

  166. could be.

  167. And uh uh he he's going to come and he's

  168. going to deliver a word. This is a man

  169. who's called to ministry. This is a man

  170. who's got an anointing. This is a man

  171. who I want to challenge us. Listen, I

  172. want to I want to encourage us to shift

  173. our posture real quick. If you find

  174. you're slouching a little bit, just

  175. scoot your butt back. If you find you're

  176. you got your back on your seat, just

  177. would you scoot your butt up? Actually,

  178. just like lean forward and open up your

  179. notebooks, grab out YOUR PENS. I PROMISE

  180. YOU. I promise you. I don't know exactly

  181. what it's going to be, but I know that

  182. God is going to speak through Russ to

  183. you. Come on. Can we give a hand for my

  184. man Russell Protherero? Let's go.

  185. Awesome.

  186. God is good, right? Amen. I love what

  187. he's doing here. And uh just being a

  188. part I don't know how many faith

  189. offerings we've we've been a you know

  190. doing over the years and uh I'm just

  191. always blown away what God can do

  192. through us as a church body through big

  193. faith. And uh not all these chairs are

  194. filled yet.

  195. Think about it. Think about what we

  196. could do if all these chairs in this

  197. auditorium were filled. Imagine what

  198. that number would look like.

  199. >> That's faith.

  200. >> And I believe that. And I'm not the only

  201. one that believes that. Two people over

  202. here believe that.

  203. That water bottle believes that, too.

  204. Yeah. Was it open?

  205. >> Oops. surprise.

  206. A little bit of only happens to me. All

  207. right. So, my name is Russ and I am the

  208. ministry director here at Collective

  209. Church. Thank you. And I'm I'm so

  210. excited today because I believe God has

  211. given not just me a word for you, but as

  212. I was preparing this message,

  213. it was for me, too. Um, so don't mind

  214. me. I might pause a little bit. I might

  215. get a little bit emotional up here. Uh

  216. I'm not trying to be showy. Uh this is

  217. real. This is something that is real to

  218. me. And I hope today it speaks to you.

  219. And I'm just so glad y'all made it

  220. today. I'm so glad that you were able to

  221. get up, roll out of bed, and experience

  222. cold and snow

  223. and wind in parking lots that are filled

  224. where you have to walk a mile to get to

  225. the front door. Right. And you're here.

  226. And I'm so glad you're here today. And I

  227. I pray that God just uses me to speak to

  228. your heart where you're at today. So,

  229. let me pray. God, thank you so much.

  230. Thank you so much for everything you've

  231. done. Thank you so much for your mercy,

  232. your goodness. And God, today

  233. I just ask God out for your Holy Spirit

  234. to rest upon hearts

  235. in whatever circumstance

  236. we are in right now in Jesus name. Amen.

  237. All right. So, can I be a little real

  238. with you? I mean, I think I'm just going

  239. to be real with you. So, the last couple

  240. weeks have been really hard.

  241. Uh I last week I uh I hit both my knees

  242. uh one backstage here and one at home

  243. and I was down for the count. Uh and not

  244. only that, I was preparing for one of my

  245. first uh messages here at Collective. I

  246. was wrestling with some uh old stuff,

  247. old hurt in my my heart when it comes to

  248. just doing new things. Uh a lot of old

  249. things come up. And I was also just

  250. being bombarded with so many lies. Uh,

  251. and I I it was hard last Monday. Uh, I

  252. didn't want to get out of bed. It was

  253. that bad. I was unmotivated. I just was

  254. spent. And, uh, I was hurting. And

  255. every lie that was coming at me, it just

  256. felt like every lie had my number. like

  257. the spam calls that you get from those

  258. random calls in in Nebraska. Uh r random

  259. small towns in Nebraska. Uh I don't know

  260. if you've ever felt this way before. And

  261. I know it's supposed to be Thanksgiving,

  262. right? We're supposed to be thankful.

  263. We're supposed to be filled with thanks,

  264. but it's hard.

  265. It's hard when I have this thing in

  266. front of me

  267. and you're telling me to be thankful.

  268. You're telling me to be grateful for

  269. this thing. Here I am preparing a

  270. message on gratitude

  271. and I'm standing right in front of a

  272. wall and I'm like, what is what is this

  273. thing?

  274. I'm face to face with this thing

  275. preventing me from seeing anything else

  276. because of the circumstance that I was

  277. in and the circumstance that I've been

  278. in. It can be easy to be thankful when

  279. good things are happening. Family is

  280. around. You're getting the job

  281. promotions.

  282. You know, it's it's easy to be thankful

  283. when you're healthy as an ox. you know,

  284. when you're not feeling it, when you hit

  285. your knees on things the morning and

  286. stuff, you're you're thankful. But how

  287. in the world can you be grateful when

  288. life is hard? You lose your job, you're

  289. living paycheck to paycheck, and you

  290. just received your diagnosis from the

  291. doctor, and it's not what you wanted.

  292. How can we be thankful in all our

  293. circumstances,

  294. the good, the bad,

  295. and the worse?

  296. I prepared this message sitting at my

  297. wall, seeing through my circumstances

  298. into the very words I'm going to share

  299. with you today. And I pray

  300. wherever you're at today, whatever wall

  301. you're in front of right now, that these

  302. words will encourage you, will meet you

  303. at that wall in Jesus name.

  304. So, we're going to dig a little bit in

  305. scripture. Uh let's uh turn to 1

    1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

  306. Thessalonians 5:16-18

  307. and it will be up here on the screen.

  308. And it says this, "Rejoice always. Pray

  309. continually.

  310. Give thanks in all circumstances for

  311. this is God's will for you in Christ

  312. Jesus." Whatever the circumstance,

  313. give thanks. Great God. Very simple.

  314. Thank you.

  315. But let's break this down a little bit.

  316. I don't I don't think we just leave

  317. there and I drop the mic and we're done,

  318. right? I'm going to break this down.

  319. Notice the words

  320. in all circumstances. In all,

  321. his truth tells us to give thanks in,

  322. not for.

  323. How can we give thanks when our

  324. circumstances just feel way too much?

  325. How can we live this verse out when life

  326. just feels so much

  327. and you don't know what way is up and

  328. what way is down.

  329. Before I dive into how to give thanks,

  330. let's go on a journey through scripture

  331. of some circumstances where people in

  332. the Bible faced specific circumstances

  333. over the years. And I I just pray the

  334. Holy Spirit will will speak to you, will

  335. highlight certain things to you. Whether

  336. it's for you or someone you know, I hope

  337. these words

  338. carry with you outside of this room.

  339. So in scripture we get many different

  340. pictures of circumstances people face.

  341. It's clear all throughout history uh

  342. that humankind has seen some hard

  343. things. Right?

  344. As I read scripture, I allow the words

  345. of people's circumstances to speak to my

  346. soul. I allow the words to meet me where

  347. I'm at. I don't try to just go try to

  348. find it and find understanding where

  349. it's at. I really allow the words in

  350. scripture to meet me where I'm at. And

  351. they are there for a reason. And right

  352. now, they are here for you. In in

  353. scripture, the first circumstance that

  354. you see in scripture is valley. In

  355. scripture, valley circumstances are

  356. mentioned a lot. The valley represents

  357. periods of trial, hardship, and

  358. suffering. And I believe the valley in

  359. life for us looks the same. The valley

  360. is a place of fear, depression,

  361. and hurt, and so much pain.

  362. David says this in Psalm 23, "Even

  363. though I walk through the darkest

  364. valley,

  365. valleys are dark,

  366. you don't see much past what is right

  367. now.

  368. You received a diagnosis from your

  369. doctor the other day, and that's all you

  370. see. Nothing feels the same. You have

  371. been faced with thoughts of suicide for

  372. weeks

  373. and there's no end in sight. You have a

  374. chronic pain that has been bothering you

  375. for years and you wake up every morning

  376. and you feel it.

  377. The valley

  378. is dark.

  379. Another circumstance we see in the Bible

  380. is highlighted in the book of Daniel.

  381. And Daniel was a faithful follower of

  382. God. He did all he could to live a life

  383. following him.

  384. Him and his some of his friends were

  385. surrounded by poor leaders that had no

  386. order or structure to them. They lived

  387. in chaos.

  388. Daniel, Daniel's friends, Shadrach,

  389. Meshach, and Abedneo. They faced

  390. a poor leader and uh the leader

  391. issued some laws and stuff and they

  392. didn't follow him. So, what did the

  393. leader do? Okay, go in the furnace.

  394. You're toast.

  395. Boom. Roasted. I wanted to put that in

  396. there.

  397. In Daniel 3, we see this. The king

  398. ordered the furnace to be heated seven

  399. times hotter than usual and commanded

  400. some of the strongest soldiers in him in

  401. his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach,

  402. and Abedneo

  403. and throw them into the blazing furnace.

  404. Not too long later, the same thing

  405. happened to Daniel. A new king, a new

  406. law, and he was thrown in a furnace, a

  407. furnace, but a pit of lions.

  408. In Daniel 3, oh, not Daniel 3, Daniel 6.

  409. So the king gave orders for Daniel to be

  410. taken and thrown into the pit filled

  411. with lions. And the king said to Daniel,

  412. "May your God whom you serve loyally

  413. rescue you."

  414. Pits and fires are are circumstances you

  415. don't see coming that someone else may

  416. be causing. You get thrown into a pit

  417. because of someone's else's decision.

  418. You have a boss at work that keeps on

  419. nagging you about your performance when

  420. really it's their leadership that is

  421. making the job hard. Your spouse chooses

  422. to drink alcohol excessively

  423. and expects you to take care of the

  424. whole family and all the chores around

  425. the house.

  426. Being thrown into fire unexpectedly can

  427. look like you're getting handed another

  428. thing to do on top of all the other

  429. things you were juggling at home and

  430. work and you feel like that famous this

  431. is fine meme when really nothing is

  432. fine.

  433. There's chaos and you're losing yourself

  434. in the fire.

  435. You're losing who you're supposed to be

  436. in Christ because you're surrounded by

  437. the fire around you and the fire burns

  438. up everything you are. Pits and fires

  439. are chaotic. Another circumstance in

  440. scripture is in Acts. It's Acts 16. This

  441. is Paul and Silas.

  442. The crowd joined and attacked against

  443. Paul and Silas. and the magistrates

  444. ordered them to be stripped and beaten

  445. with rods. After they have been severely

  446. flogged, they were thrown into prison.

  447. Paul and Silas are going about spreading

  448. the gospel, living a life worthy of the

  449. call, healing the blind, bringing new

  450. life to hopeless areas, and the crowd

  451. turns on them.

  452. This circumstance feels like you're

  453. doing everything you're supposed to be

  454. doing and everyone you once knew or are

  455. helping

  456. keeps on ghosting you and you are not

  457. included in anything they're doing.

  458. Prison is a product of rejection.

  459. The prison is a place where your family

  460. puts you when you choose to follow Jesus

  461. and they are like you do your thing. I

  462. don't need that.

  463. Or you have a friend that you had your

  464. whole life turns on you and tells you

  465. that they're no longer your friend and

  466. leaves you. A spouse cheats on you and

  467. tells you they don't want to be with you

  468. anymore. The prison is isolating.

  469. One of the final circumstances we see in

  470. scripture is the wilderness.

  471. And the second book of the Bible shows

  472. us a long story about a group of people

  473. who were given everything they needed

  474. and more. But it took longer than they

  475. wanted.

  476. When you're in the wilderness,

  477. everything feels like it takes forever.

  478. Shout out to Sandlot.

  479. Killing me, Smalls.

  480. The wilderness in your life can look

  481. like unknown answers to a long list of

  482. questions about your faith in Jesus. You

  483. may have been questioning God in your

  484. life and doubting some of the things

  485. you've been seeing around you. And your

  486. prayers consist of why God,

  487. where are you?

  488. The Israelites,

  489. the ones that were in the wilderness at

  490. the time in Exodus, did that quite a

  491. bit. Where are you, God? This isn't as

  492. good as it once was. The common thought

  493. in the wilderness is in Exodus 17. Is

  494. the Lord among us or not? You're

  495. questioning things because it's taken

  496. forever.

  497. You sought him for answers and you're

  498. not seeing them. The wilderness is

  499. quiet.

  500. These circumstances are real and they

  501. can take you down and you can live in

  502. them your whole life. And going back on

  503. the first Thessalonians verse,

  504. how can I be grateful in these

  505. circumstances?

  506. How do we see through the reality of all

  507. our circumstances? How do we see through

  508. that wall that is right in front of us?

  509. the circumstances that seem so hard,

  510. that are hard, those voices, those lies,

  511. you're just that's all you see. How do

  512. you see through your circumstance and be

  513. grateful in them?

  514. The good thing is

  515. when you start to see where you are and

  516. where and who God is in our

  517. circumstances,

  518. you can start to see beyond the

  519. circumstance and be thankful in your

  520. circumstance.

  521. We have truths that form a solid

  522. foundation for us to rest on no matter

  523. the circumstance. These truths, when

  524. spoken and repeated, will help clear up

  525. the walls surrounding you and allow you

  526. to see more than just the circumstance

  527. you're in.

  528. These are the truths that we can rest in

  529. and know. No matter what we're facing,

  530. no matter what we're in, no matter what

  531. the wall looks like,

  532. no matter what the wall looks like,

  533. these truths hold.

  534. They hold our feet on solid ground.

  535. These truths are solid for us. So,

  536. what's the truth in a wilderness? If

  537. you're in the wilderness right now, this

  538. is what the truth says.

  539. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

  540. Deuteronomy 3:18, "The Lord himself goes

    Deuteronomy 3:18

  541. before you and will be with you. He will

  542. never leave you nor forsake you. Do not

  543. be afraid. Do not be discouraged.

  544. He will not leave you. You are not alone

  545. in the wilderness.

  546. He will take those questions of yours.

  547. Don't be afraid to bring those questions

  548. to him. Don't stop speaking to God that

  549. seems so distant. He promises he won't

  550. leave. Whatever the question is,

  551. if you feel like you're sitting in a

  552. prison right now and there is no way

  553. out, you feel like everyone is just

  554. going to keep rejecting you and letting

  555. you down.

  556. His word says he sees you.

  557. Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and

    Psalms 32:8

  558. teach you in the way you should go. I

  559. will counsel you with my loving eye on

  560. you.

  561. He will counsel you with his loving eye

  562. on you. He sees you and wants you to

  563. know he has not rejected you. He wants

  564. to help you get through this life and

  565. give you a way of seeing past the pain

  566. of rejection.

  567. Come on. This is a truth we we can hold

  568. on to in our circumstances.

  569. When life feels chaotic and you don't

  570. feel fine, even if you're telling

  571. yourself that

  572. you're surrounded by the fires and

  573. thrown into the pits, the truth says he

  574. is with you.

  575. In second Timothy 4, at my first

  576. defense, no one stood with me, but

  577. everyone deserted me. May it not be

  578. charged against him. But the Lord stood

  579. with me

  580. and strengthened me.

  581. He is with you in the pits and the fires

  582. and will deliver you from the chaos

  583. around you. You have nothing to fear.

  584. You will not be burned up. You will not

  585. be devoured.

  586. The valley is dark.

  587. No end in sight.

  588. The truth says,

  589. "He is your strength."

  590. Isaiah 41:10,

    Isaiah 41:10

  591. "Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not

  592. be dismayed, for I am your God. I will

  593. strengthen you and help you. I will

  594. uphold you with my righteous hand.

  595. He is your strength in the valley. He's

  596. not asking you to be strong right now.

  597. He's wanting you depend more on him

  598. right now in the darkest valley because

  599. he will hold you up.

  600. He will strengthen you. He's not asking

  601. you to be the strongest person right

  602. now. He's not asking you to be the

  603. strongest person right now because he is

  604. your strength. You're not alone in the

  605. valley. He's right there with you,

  606. B. You can come on up.

  607. In the valley,

  608. he is your strength.

  609. In the pits and fires, he is with you.

  610. In the prison, he sees you.

  611. In the wilderness,

  612. he will never leave you.

  613. The circumstances still may be present.

  614. The wall may still be there,

  615. but now you're able to see through it.

  616. This

  617. this is possible

  618. when you speak those truths

  619. in

  620. your circumstances.

  621. The wall is still here.

  622. It's still there,

  623. but you can see through it.

  624. this quote, you know, I I think this is

  625. something that we can hold on to where I

  626. can be grateful right now in any

  627. situation,

  628. even if I can't be grateful for the

  629. situation quite yet.

  630. And I also believe

  631. there's so many more questions attached

  632. to this being thankful in circumstances.

  633. And I think one of one of the big

  634. questions that I hear a lot is why do

  635. these circumstances happen if we have a

  636. good God?

  637. Well, that's a good question

  638. and I ask it myself, too.

  639. And we won't sit in the wilderness with

  640. it today though.

  641. There is a truth that Jesus says and I

  642. remind myself of often when I have the

  643. same question

  644. and it's in John 16 and these words are

  645. from Jesus's mouth

  646. and he says this.

  647. I have told you these things so that in

  648. me you have you may have peace

  649. in this world

  650. you will have trouble

  651. but take heart.

  652. I have overcome the world. Jesus has

  653. overcome

  654. the world. These words are from his

  655. mouth. And the more we place our trust

  656. in the more we place our life in Jesus,

  657. the more we recite these truths that he

  658. is for us. He is with us. He will never

  659. leave us or forsake us. He sees me.

  660. The more we we take heart,

  661. the more we're able to see through

  662. any circumstance,

  663. the more we can see through the

  664. circumstances that we're going through

  665. at work,

  666. the job that you don't like going to on

  667. Monday mornings,

  668. he sees you.

  669. He is with you.

  670. the relationships that are falling apart

  671. around you because you're choosing to

  672. follow Jesus. Whether it's a spouse, a

  673. family member, a friend, a friend group,

  674. he sees you. He is your strength. He is

  675. for you.

  676. that diagnosis that you may have just

  677. received

  678. or you received a year ago and you're

  679. still feeling it today.

  680. He is your strength.

  681. You're able to see through it.

  682. Going back on Monday, I I was sitting at

  683. the wall on my floor after I finally got

  684. out of bed

  685. and I'm like, "God, help me be thankful

  686. in this."

  687. And these words came came to me,

  688. the words that I just shared with you.

  689. I had to remind myself of the truth

  690. because with the truth,

  691. he cleared up my day. He cleared up my

  692. week.

  693. It was still I'm still here.

  694. I'm still here.

  695. But

  696. it's clear and I'm able to see.

  697. So, let's stay here.

  698. and thank God in our circumstances.

  699. Thank him for his strength.

  700. Thank him for never leaving you.

  701. Thank him for seeing you and noticing

  702. you

  703. when no one else

  704. is.

  705. Thank him

  706. for the strength he gives you

  707. as a single parent,

  708. for the strength he gives you in that

  709. relationship that's just been so hard

  710. and just bringing you down. He gives you

  711. strength in that. His word says that and

  712. they don't fail.

  713. He has never failed. And I'm standing

  714. here and I know

  715. I'm up here

  716. because I believe this and I believe

  717. these words and I've been through

  718. valleys. I've been through some very

  719. dark valleys

  720. and I can go back on some of the

  721. journals that I had back then and I look

  722. I sometimes I go back and I look and I'm

  723. like, man, how was I saying these words

  724. in that place?

  725. And I'm here.

  726. I'm so humbled to just be here

  727. daily. I just see my day just being a

  728. blessing, being a gift, that I get to do

  729. this,

  730. that I'm able to get up and go and set

  731. up a church and and love on people and

  732. bring these truths. in this truth and

  733. all these things to whether it's one

  734. person or 10 people or 20 people or

  735. whatever

  736. cuz God is good.

  737. Take these promises with you. I'm going

  738. to encourage you and hold them near to

  739. you in whatever circumstance you are in

  740. and let them soak into your heart, into

  741. the very depths of your soul. Let these

  742. words

  743. go with you everywhere you go. Make a

  744. lock screen on your phone. Say things in

  745. the morning when you wake up. Say these

  746. things over and over. He is with me. He

  747. is my strength. He is for me. He will

  748. never leave me. He sees me. Just say

  749. that. Say those things and watch your

  750. heart and your life shift.

  751. You're going to start seeing seeing

  752. through those circumstances and you're

  753. going to be able to be thankful in them

  754. because that's what this is all about.

  755. And I don't know where you are today.

  756. I don't know what your wall looks like

  757. today. I don't know what your

  758. circumstance looks like today,

  759. but God does.

  760. And I want to take just some time to

  761. respond.

  762. And if you if you want to stand,

  763. if you're able to,

  764. and I just want you to close your eyes

  765. and think about the circumstances you're

  766. in right now.

  767. Only you can think that right now. Only

  768. you know the circumstance that you're

  769. in.

  770. If it's questioning

  771. why God is good.

  772. If it's if it's the valley where it's

  773. just every day just seems dark.

  774. Every moment you just feel this weight

  775. of the valley upon you and you're just

  776. getting lower and you're lower and it's

  777. this burden that you're bearing.

  778. If it's the fires or a pit where you

  779. just feel like you can't get out of it

  780. because you have to pay the bills or you

  781. have to do these things with these

  782. people or their family

  783. and I just have to be there for them.

  784. Whatever the circumstance is right now,

  785. I want you to speak one of these truths

  786. over it right now.

  787. You can say it quietly to yourself

  788. and just keep on repeating it.

  789. That's all it takes.

  790. He is for me.

  791. He is my strength.

  792. He sees me. He sees me.

  793. He will never leave me.

  794. He will never forsake me.

  795. He is with me.

  796. And if this is your first time doing

  797. something like this

  798. in the concept of Jesus and you know

  799. you've heard his name spoken today that

  800. he has overcome and if you

  801. have never made Jesus

  802. an overcomer in your heart if you've

  803. never declared those words

  804. that he has overcome become the world

  805. and the the stuff that you're in. This

  806. is your moment.

  807. I don't want you to just like respond

  808. right now, but over here when we go into

  809. worship, I want you to come over here to

  810. Pastor Drew over by the prayer banner

  811. and he'll have that conversation with

  812. you about Jesus and how good he is in

  813. your circumstances right now. And for

  814. the rest of us, this is our moment

  815. to give thanks

  816. in our circumstance.

  817. You you just thought about the

  818. circumstance you're in. You just said

  819. some truth. But now, let's press in.

  820. Let's press into a time of giving praise

  821. to a God who deserves it all, who makes

  822. walls clear.

  823. We serve a God and we worship a God who

  824. makes our walls clear.

  825. So, if you want to come up to the front

  826. while we step into a time of worship

  827. and then Taye and Steve will come up

  828. here and close us out. But this is your

  829. time to respond in your circumstance.

  830. Whatever it is, recite one of these

  831. truths.

  832. Just like the song we were singing

  833. earlier today, we throw up our hands.

  834. We give you praise, Lord.

  835. It is all yours.

  836. It is yours.

  837. >> Hey, thanks so much for watching today's

  838. message. Our prayer is more than the

  839. words that were spoken in the message

  840. that you would remember the things that

  841. God spoke to your heart.

  842. >> Yeah. And no matter what it was that God

  843. spoke to you, I know that part of your

  844. journey is other people being in a

  845. community because we are better

  846. together. So if you made a decision to
