  1. Heat. Heat.

  2. Good morning. How we doing, collective?

  3. >> Doing all right. Let's go. Thank you

  4. guys for joining in. Man, what powerful

  5. worship. Uh I I I'm just overjoyed to be

  6. together today. I just feel it. I am

  7. because I think a couple different

  8. things we are getting to highlight and

  9. getting to celebrate uh that we

  10. officially met our faith offering goal

  11. of $35,000.

  12. But we're not done because the reality

  13. is is that then we started right after

  14. that we started a foster uh a foster

  15. kids gift drive Christmas present drive

  16. and we talked to release ministries and

  17. we talked to Boytown right beside us

  18. here

  19. and we didn't we didn't ask for a

  20. specific number. We didn't say hey we

  21. think we can cover this much. We said,

  22. "We want to help. We want to cover your

  23. needs. What are the needs that you

  24. have?" And 300

  25. gifts, 300 kids is what they said. And

  26. we're like, I'm thinking right after

  27. faith offering, um, what the heck are we

  28. going to be doing? Right? Like we're

  29. going to get 25 gifts and that is it.

  30. And so now first of all faith offering

  31. gave 75 gifts because of your guys'

  32. generosity. So through that we already

  33. started 75 gifts ahead. But right now as

  34. of this morning we are already over 250

  35. gifts for these foster kids.

  36. So many of them have never received a

  37. Christmas present and all of them this

  38. is their Christmas present.

  39. Thank you guys.

  40. Thank you for being hope, for being

  41. life, for being generosity. Thank you

  42. guys for being a the the fingerprint on

  43. a gift that they are never going to know

  44. your name. They're never going to know

  45. your face. They're never going to know

  46. uh the the the gift, the sacrifice that

  47. it took for you to be able to do that.

  48. But

  49. it's because of that generosity.

  50. I am so grateful to be a part of a

  51. church that's bigger than us. And now it

  52. is officially for those of you who are

  53. the the the like let's go all out with

  54. Christmas season. It's officially

  55. Christmas season, right? We're after

  56. Thanksgiving. It's officially December.

  57. If you don't have your Christmas lights

  58. up like me, you are officially a

  59. slacker. Uh it is not good. So, merry

  60. Christmas. We're in that season. I'm

  61. going to start greeting everybody with

  62. that all the time. Uh the downside of

  63. this is that in this season, it is also

  64. the darkest

  65. time of year. Literally, physically, it

  66. is the we get less light right now than

  67. we ever do, right? It is it's terrible.

  68. If you work a job that is like 7:30 to

  69. 5:30 or 7:30 to 5 or something like then

  70. you just don't see the sun.

  71. It's terrible. And there's something

  72. that light does for us. There's

  73. something that light does in us. There's

  74. seasonal depression that begins to get

  75. brought in when we aren't around and

  76. receiving light. And this is why for

  77. this Christmas season, we're talking

  78. about the light of the world.

  79. And today I want to if you guys want to

  80. open up your Bibles to John chapter 1.

    John 1 chapter mention

  81. John chapter 1 starting in verse one. Uh

    John 1 chapter mention

  82. this is

  83. what I think is the most beautiful,

  84. powerful, deep prologue introduction to

  85. any book that's ever been written in the

  86. Bible or not.

  87. The first part of John, the first really

  88. the first 18 verses. We're only talking

  89. about the first five today, but we're

  90. going to continue to dive into this.

  91. There is so much gold inside of here,

  92. and it is one of the most powerful. If

  93. you are not if if you're not familiar

  94. with the word of God, if you are not in

  95. your Bible very often, and then you open

  96. this up and this is where you start,

  97. it's just like this as the first time

  98. you read it, it's like mysterious. And

  99. then the more that you get into it, the

  100. more you're like, "This is magical. This

  101. is amazing." And this is so I want to I

  102. want to read through this. And I want

  103. this is this is something that I used to

  104. do growing up. And I want to actually

  105. encourage us into this today just to

  106. honor the word of God. Can we stand? Can

  107. we stand in honor of the word of God?

  108. And this passage is not specifically

  109. more word of God than other passages. I

  110. just want to make sure that we do this

  111. today. So, if you're able to join with

  112. me, uh, in the beginning was the word,

  113. and the word was with God, and the word

  114. was God. He was in the beginning with

  115. God.

  116. All things were made through him, and

  117. without him not anything was made that

  118. was made.

  119. In him was life, and that life was the

  120. light of men.

  121. The light shines in the darkness,

  122. and the darkness has not overcome it.

  123. Amen. Amen. Come on, praise the Lord.

  124. Let's give a hand for the word of God.

  125. You can be seated.

  126. Oh, man. And so I want to I want to walk

  127. through this, but this is there's so

  128. much depth inside of this. If you

  129. notice, this is the gospel of John is

  130. written by John the apostle. John the

  131. disciple of Jesus. So this is not a

  132. story. The difference between the

  133. letters of Paul when Paul writes about

  134. Jesus, he writes about his experience

  135. that he had. He had one experience with

  136. Jesus himself on getting knocked off his

  137. donkey. Uh the light comes. He doesn't

  138. see Jesus. He sees him through a light.

  139. Hears him through a light. And that's

  140. his experience. John gets to minister

  141. beside Jesus for years.

  142. And it's amazing that the people that

  143. knew Jesus best are all declaring the

  144. same thing about him.

  145. that he was not just a mere man.

  146. See, familiarity breeds contempt.

  147. the more I get to know you, the less

  148. amazing

  149. and myster the more the mystery

  150. dissolves and and it's like getting to

  151. know if you've ever gotten to know a

  152. celebrity or someone that you've seen on

  153. TV or someone that you've just admired

  154. so much and then you're like they're

  155. like just a person that's weird, right?

  156. like they always kind of walked on like

  157. above the ground to me and they're just

  158. very much a human. And this is that's

  159. what happens

  160. as you as they would be getting to

  161. minister with and alongside Jesus. Yet

  162. constantly the more they're around him,

  163. the holier he gets, the mightier he

  164. gets, the greater he becomes in their

  165. eyes, and the more they get the deep

  166. revelation of who he is. So John

  167. witnesses the life and ministry of Jesus

  168. and he begins to write down the gospel,

  169. the good news of Jesus.

  170. And this is how he introduces

  171. the son of God.

  172. And it's in the beginning. Before we get

  173. to this the before we dive into the

  174. Greek and get all nerdy on us here, I

  175. want to highlight in the beginning.

  176. Where else have you heard that? My Bible

  177. scholars in the room. Where is that?

  178. >> Genesis 1:1, baby. Right. These are the

    Genesis 1:1

  179. first three words of the Bible. It's the

  180. first language. It's actually the exact

  181. same words that's used in the Greek

  182. translation of the Old Testament as

  183. well. In the beginning, John is

  184. intending to call back to Genesis 1:1.

    Genesis 1:1

  185. But what he's doing is he is refraraming

  186. this whole story

  187. that he is saying in Genesis in in

  188. Genesis 1 and two, there's a couple

  189. different times when God is speaking and

  190. he creates and he says then he speaks

  191. and says, "Let us make man in our own

  192. image." And it's like, "What? Hold on.

  193. Where's this plural coming from? What's

  194. going on?" And the reality is is that he

  195. is saying Jesus was there.

  196. The father, the son, and the spirit were

  197. all together in community as one

  198. creating the entire universe. And we

  199. need to don't don't just build this in

  200. the same way that you've heard this

  201. story

  202. before.

  203. Thank you. Thank you. uh don't we need

  204. to we need to reframe the way that we've

  205. seen all of creation because John's

  206. saying you and I we have walked beside

  207. the creator of the universe

  208. in the beginning in the same way see

  209. here here's the problem the more we look

  210. at the world the more we stare we just

  211. talked about this about more than me the

  212. more we look at the world the more we

  213. see the evil and the more we see the

  214. darkness and the more we get questions

  215. about what what's up with all the

  216. sinfulness and the and the tragedies and

  217. the terrible things that are happening

  218. in this world and the more we look at

  219. that we we see darkness but here's the

  220. reality

  221. John is saying I want you to reframe the

  222. way that you're seeing the way that

  223. you're reading the word of God I want

  224. you to reframe the way that you're

  225. looking into the past

  226. because for some of you I like God's

  227. saying to you right now. He's saying you

  228. cannot continue to claim these old past

  229. issues, your old sins, the sins done

  230. against you, the old weaknesses, the old

  231. problems. You can't continue to claim

  232. THAT AS BAD, AS PROBLEMATIC, as evil, as

  233. dark, as sin. Because he wants to

  234. reframe that and SAY, "GUESS WHAT? JESUS

  235. WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME.

  236. Jesus is in IT JUST AS FEI TALKED ABOUT

  237. AS HE WALKS YOU through it. I don't have

  238. to look back at it and go, "That was the

  239. that was the darkness time. That was the

  240. bad time. That was the time without

  241. Jesus. Now I have time with Jesus."

  242. Guess what? He's there. And don't let

  243. the enemy take possession of parts of

  244. your story. When I can give that to God,

  245. when I can reframe, when I can go back

  246. AND SAY, "BUT WHAT IF God wants to use

  247. even the worst parts of my story, and if

  248. I put it as his feet,

  249. it's going to become

  250. very good.

  251. It's going to become

  252. divine. It's going to there's going to

  253. be purpose inside of it. The wound is

  254. going to heal. It's going to leave a

  255. scar that tells a story. And I'm going

  256. to be able to give out my story in the

  257. best parts and the worst parts of the

  258. story that you that of your past, of

  259. your history. Reframe it, recognizing

  260. that Jesus was there the whole time in

  261. the beginning.

  262. He still can work through all of it.

  263. Don't let the enemy take parts of your

  264. story.

  265. Don't let the enemy take ownership of of

  266. the of of his role and and he continues

  267. to possess

  268. part of who you are. When I give it to

  269. God, he reshapes it. He redeems it. He

  270. restores it. I believe that God wants to

  271. do that today. Amen. Amen. So this is

  272. this is and as as we get in so in the

  273. beginning we're like three words into

  274. this guys. There's so much we're just I

  275. I I wish I could dive deeper. So in the

  276. beginning was the word. As we look at

  277. the word word the word word is a very

  278. important word

  279. with me. Okay. Here we go. The word is

  280. actually logos.

  281. is the Greek word that represents this

  282. is this is where it starts to get really

  283. deep because there's so much that comes

  284. behind both the meaning and the

  285. application of this word in in scripture

  286. and in the context of their culture.

  287. Right? Then what it means is it

  288. literally just means a word or a

  289. message, an idea that's being given. But

  290. in philosophy in in Greek Greco Roman

  291. philosophy at this time and as they're

  292. trying they would use this word they'd

  293. use logos as this concept of this

  294. everexisting what happened in creation

  295. how did everything come to be it's this

  296. mysterious just it something was spoken

  297. something existed there is a truth there

  298. is a sense And they would use this word

  299. as this impersonal

  300. non-person

  301. power spirit

  302. entity thing

  303. that must have initiated

  304. all things

  305. that must have initiated matter. It's

  306. very similar to today when people refer

  307. to this same concept as the universe.

  308. right? Or karma or things like that.

  309. That's just like this the the the good

  310. vibes, right? The whatever it may be,

  311. the juju, I don't know what you want to

  312. call it, right? This it's this idea of

  313. this impersonal, I don't know, there

  314. just seems to be some power out there

  315. that's beyond. But also at the same

  316. time,

  317. the the word is referred to throughout

  318. all of scripture as the word of God. And

  319. logos logos usually refers to this word

  320. of God, which is the revelation

  321. of God.

  322. Yes, it's a revelation of the divine.

  323. It's this picture of like, how do I know

  324. who God is? Right here, I've got this

  325. word. And it what they were reading is

  326. they had the Torah. They had the first

  327. five books of the the Bible. They had

  328. the Old Testament. They have all this

  329. stuff. And they're going, "I know.

  330. I know about who God is. I've gotten a

  331. revelation because of the logos,

  332. because of the word, because of the word

  333. of God."

  334. And yet, here's what's crazy.

  335. John is taking this and he's building

  336. upon it and he's deepening this

  337. revelation. Can we pull back up verses

  338. 1-5? John 1 1-5. And he says, "And the

  339. word was with God."

  340. So Jesus with and the word was God is

  341. God.

  342. And so what's highlighting here is that

  343. the word the logos is not this

  344. impersonable impersonable non-person

  345. entity power that the universe just like

  346. there's actual a personhood. There is

  347. actually a divinity behind this. There

  348. is actually a desire and a relationship

  349. and a and like all of this begins to

  350. open up because

  351. it's not just us trying to figure out

  352. the universe and the the laws and the

  353. way that things work in this spiritual

  354. realm. There is actually a divine holy

  355. God, a person looking down at you right

  356. now that sees you. In the beginning was

  357. the word and the word was with God and

  358. the word was God. Now the word is now

  359. he. He was in the beginning with God. We

  360. see this personhood. We see this

  361. revelation and we see

  362. all things were made through him.

  363. Without him not anything was made that

  364. was made.

  365. Why does it say it like that?

  366. That may like and you read that and

  367. you're like that's a little redundant.

  368. Here's the reality. What he's

  369. highlighting is that there are things

  370. that have not been made.

  371. The Trinity, Yahweh,

  372. there is no who made God. Have you ever

  373. been asked that question before? It's

  374. one of the things that I one of the

  375. questions that atheists, it's one of the

  376. questions that a lot of cult members

  377. will will start to ask you these

  378. questions about where did God come from?

  379. Who made God? The reality is is that e

  380. if if someone there there's no god out

  381. there that's going to go I'm going to

  382. make a god that's going to make a god

  383. that's going to make a god that's going

  384. to make a god that's then going to make

  385. everything and the rest of us are just

  386. there for being the the generational

  387. like the reality is is there is an

  388. almighty supernatural high god that

  389. created ALL THINGS.

  390. THERE IS NO GOD WAS MADE. There is no

  391. beginning to him. There is no end to

  392. him. There is FOREVER AND ALWAYS WAS AND

  393. ALWAYS will be.

  394. SO ANYTHING THAT HAS been made that can

  395. be made, all the angels, ALL THE

  396. DARKNESS, ALL THE STARS, ALL THE MATTER,

  397. ALL THE LAWS OF PHYSICS, ALL OF YOU AND

  398. ALL OF ME, ALL OF OUR SOULS, ALL OF IT,

  399. anything that can be made, that has been

  400. made was made by the thing, by the

  401. person, by God who was never made.

  402. It's this. Oh my goodness. Are you

  403. getting to see the depth in this of like

  404. I'm rewriting all of history, all of all

  405. everything that you've known, everything

  406. that you've seen. The depth of this

  407. passage is so powerful.

  408. And now I I I want to highlight there's

  409. a lot of this this passage is often used

  410. by cults

  411. uh that that you will see where they

  412. will say the word if you dive into the

  413. Greek and you see that it says that

  414. there's missing this this participle and

  415. what it is and and it says the the

  416. actual translation should be the word

  417. was a god and what it does is it

  418. introduces you into this idea that you

  419. can become a god that eventually that's

  420. where they they want to take you. And

  421. what happens is that I recognize that if

  422. I am the end of my story, then guess

  423. what? I it's it's pretty hollow. If my

  424. goal in life is to become God or a God,

  425. then actually that is it becomes this

  426. self-defeating thing. And where is my

  427. selflessness in that? Where is the

  428. reality that everything within me cries?

  429. Is the more I focus on me, the less

  430. healthy I actually become. The more I

  431. recognize and I live for others, the

  432. more I become who I'm created to be, the

  433. more I worship him. We just talked about

  434. this in the series, right? The more it's

  435. about him, the more I find who he's

  436. created me to be. And so there's this it

  437. is not if you look into it, there's

  438. there's so much lie into the the that

  439. interpretation. You'd have to totally

  440. reframe the entire Bible if you want to

  441. phrase that one the way that the Greeks

  442. phrased right there. If you want to take

  443. that and apply it accurately everywhere

  444. else, the entire not there's passages

  445. literally in the same chapter that now

  446. would no longer make any sense. So the

  447. reality do not listen. There's so many

  448. lies going around and we have to

  449. recognize the reason I'm highlighting

  450. this is because

  451. as we look at what does it mean that

  452. Jesus is the light of the world. In him

  453. was life and that life was the light of

  454. men. There's a lot of different things

  455. that this represents, right? There's

  456. something that light does for us to us.

  457. One of the things first of all that the

  458. light of Christ does is it reveals

  459. truth.

  460. So, it reveals truth just like a light.

  461. When I need when I need to be able to

  462. see where I'm going, if it's pitch

  463. black, I've got me

  464. a flashlight. There you go. Right. And I

  465. can now see where I'm going because I've

  466. got the light. Right. I've got the light

  467. reveals

  468. things THAT I COULD NOT HAVE seen

  469. otherwise. Right? This is the light.

  470. This is light reveals truth. And this is

  471. when I talk about truth.

  472. Uh sorry. John 8:12 says this says Jesus

    John 8:12

  473. spoke to them saying I am the light of

  474. the world. Whoever follows me will not

  475. walk in darkness in blindness but will

  476. have the light of life. Your word,

  477. Psalms 119 says, "Your word is a lamp

  478. unto my feet and a light to my path."

  479. That there is a revelation that I get.

  480. It reveals truth.

  481. But I have to recognize

  482. when I talk about truth,

  483. this is not your truth as opposed to my

  484. truth as opposed to that other truth as

  485. opposed to whatever find the best truth.

  486. Right? If there's if we have to

  487. recognize that if there is a truth that

  488. someone carries

  489. better than another truth. I don't know

  490. anybody that says, "Oh, I I think that

  491. they have a better truth than me." I

  492. think right. Everybody goes, "Oh, my

  493. truth you you do your truth, right?"

  494. Whatever your truth is, but my my truth

  495. is better. My truth is right. My truth.

  496. If there are better truths out there, my

  497. truth is that

  498. if I'm feeling a little funky, I can

  499. like throat chop you, right? Like that's

  500. just that's how I feel. That's what I'm

  501. doing, right? THAT'S A BAD THAT'S A BAD

  502. WAY TO LIVE. THAT'S A BAD what this word

  503. truth usually is is world view. What the

  504. way that I view the world around me,

  505. that's a terrible one. And so there are

  506. better truths out there. And so

  507. therefore, there must be an ultimate

  508. absolute truth that I can follow. And

  509. I'll tell you what, that truth is

  510. already revealed right here in the word

  511. of God. Because truth must come from the

  512. way that things were created to operate

  513. and be followed in is created by the

  514. creator himself. And so truth is found

  515. in him. If Jesus was at creation, then

  516. truth is in Christ and nothing and

  517. nowhere else. I need us to understand

  518. this.

  519. When I step in, when I when I'M PURSUING

  520. CHRIST, IF I see anything in this world

  521. that is not glorifying Jesus, that is

  522. not pointing me towards him or making me

  523. more like him or guiding me guiding me

  524. towards his heart and towards who he is.

  525. Not trying to make him affirm what I

  526. believe, but trying to get me to guide

  527. towards him. If it is not doing that,

  528. it's a lie. No matter how good it feels.

  529. I will tell you guys, there is no truth

  530. found in atheism.

  531. There is no hope found in Islam.

  532. There is no peace and fulfillment that

  533. happens in karma and eastern religions.

  534. There is there is nothing that you will

  535. that will actually SATISFY YOU FROM THE

  536. American dream.

  537. THESE ARE NOT THE THINGS WE SHOULD BE

  538. PURSUING. I PURSUE CHRIST AND CHRIST

  539. alone because he is the word. He is the

  540. truth and he reveals that. He reveals I

  541. will only discover it through pursuing

  542. him. And when I pursue him, I pursue

  543. life. I pursue truth. I pursue hope. I

  544. find purpose. All of that is only found

  545. in Christ himself.

  546. And it's incredibly exclusive because

  547. you can either be right or you can be

  548. wrong.

  549. If there's infinite numbers, then

  550. there's infinity minus one wrong answers

  551. to 2 plus two.

  552. There's one right answer.

  553. That is it. And if I'm I'm I'm I can be

  554. close but I may not be on it. I'm

  555. telling you guys truth. Who he is. Jesus

  556. is the light of the world and he reveals

  557. truth. But here's here's the reality. If

  558. I come to Jesus and he gives me hope,

  559. gives me purpose, gives me life, gives

  560. me joy, gives me satisfaction, gives me

  561. fulfillment, and and and everything is

  562. better in him. Amen. Can I get a

  563. witness? Anybody? Hallelujah. IT'S SO

  564. MUCH BETTER. IT'S NOT EASIER, but it's

  565. so much better in him. If that's the

  566. case, why is the whole world not just

  567. constantly running towards Jesus?

  568. Because light does more than just reveal

  569. truth.

  570. John 3:20

    John 3:20

  571. says, "For everyone who does wicked

  572. things hates the light

  573. and does not come to the light, or else

  574. his works will be exposed.

  575. Whoever

  576. does what is true comes to the light so

  577. that it may be clearly seen that his

  578. works have been carried out not in me.

  579. Not because of me, not because of my

  580. strength, not because of my ability, not

  581. because I'm just good enough, but

  582. carried out only in him.

  583. See, here's here's this this powerful

  584. revelation

  585. that when I'm when I don't want to come

  586. to Jesus because I'm afraid,

  587. it's usually because I'm afraid I'm

  588. about to get exposed.

  589. I know what's going to happen. I know

  590. he's going to I know he sees me. He sees

  591. me all the time. And I just I don't want

  592. to I I don't want to make eye contact.

  593. I don't want I don't want to see that

  594. he's seeing me. me. I don't want him to

  595. see me looking at him because I'm

  596. ashamed of this. I can't. When the

  597. reality is is that when I come, when I

  598. step into the light, it exposes

  599. all of my blemishes, all of my mess, all

  600. of my stains, all of my sin, all the

  601. parts of me that I'm ashamed of, all the

  602. parts of my story I hate, all of it.

  603. It can be a little bit frightening to

  604. step into the light,

  605. but I'll tell you what, it's the only

  606. place that we will find truly find hope.

  607. And so

  608. this is and this this is I don't even

  609. know if you you got this back there. Uh

  610. John chapter nine begins to Jesus talks

  611. about

  612. I am the light of the world again and

  613. then he he it's right after he heals a

  614. blind man and they're coming to him the

  615. Pharisees and the religious leaders are

  616. going like hold on why'd you do this and

  617. what's his problem was he a sinner why

  618. why is this happening and they go on

  619. this whole issue and the blind man is is

  620. like making these reports of he's like I

  621. don't know what to tell you I I was

  622. blind now I see I couldn't tell you who

  623. healed me cuz I was blind. He told me to

  624. go. I'm now I'm healed. And and so like

  625. I don't know. I don't know where he is.

  626. I don't know what he looks like. I can't

  627. tell you, right? Like I just know that

  628. this man healed me. And they know who he

  629. is. They know what's going on. So they

  630. go and confront Jesus later in verse uh

  631. 39.

  632. And it says John 9:39. And it says,

    John 9:39

  633. "Jesus told them, I entered this world

  634. to render judgment, to give sight to the

  635. blind and to show those who think that

  636. they see that they are actually blind."

  637. So the Pharisees were standing there

  638. said, "Are you saying we're blind?" He

  639. says, "If you were blind, you wouldn't

  640. be guilty. But be but you remain guilty

  641. because you think that you can see.

  642. Because you claim that you can see. If

  643. you say, "I got it.

  644. I've got it figured out. I already I I

  645. know it. I'm understanding of the

  646. mysteries of God. I I I'VE GOT this

  647. thing figured out. Come to me for all

  648. the answers.

  649. As soon as you claim, I've got it. I can

  650. see it. I know it. The reality is is

  651. that light not only reveals truth and

  652. not only exposes sin, but it also blinds

  653. pride. Right. That's terrible. Y'all are

  654. blind for like the next three minutes

  655. here, right? This is It blinds pride

  656. when I'm when I look into a light for

  657. too long. It's it I can't see. Squat. I

  658. am blinded because I am trying. I I

  659. think I'm seeing something that I don't

  660. see. So if you feel like you are blind

  661. right now, good.

  662. Good.

  663. It is coming to him and saying, "I can't

  664. see." It's coming to him in humility

  665. that allows for the revelation of where

  666. is your light, Christ? Where is your

  667. light in my story? Where is the hope

  668. that I've been looking for? Where is the

  669. restoration of what you're doing in me?

  670. Where is the truth that I'm seeking

  671. right now for where I'm at? And I'm not

  672. going to look anywhere else. I'm not

  673. going to AI. I'm not going to anyone

  674. else. I'm going to Jesus. And I'm

  675. seeking him. And in the light I will

  676. find hope in his. Can we stand up in

  677. here? And so what I want to do

  678. Psalm 139:23 says, "Search my heart, oh

    Psalms 139:23

  679. God. Know my anxious thoughts." It's a

  680. will. It's a humbleness. It's a

  681. willingness. God,

  682. look to me. I'm going to take a second

  683. right here and I'm going to step into

  684. the lights.

  685. And if that's you, if you need to step

  686. into the light, maybe for a bunch of

  687. different reasons. Maybe you go, I need

  688. God to reframe my story.

  689. I need to start back in the beginning. I

  690. need to see Jesus throughout all of it,

  691. and I need to step into the light. Maybe

  692. you're going, I don't feel like I got

  693. clarity on where I'm supposed to be, on

  694. what I'm supposed to be doing, on how

  695. I'm supposed to my direction. What is

  696. truth? Where is that? Where how am I

  697. supposed to function? What's my purpose?

  698. What's my calling? Maybe you need to

  699. step into the light to be able to see

  700. truth. Maybe you need to step into the

  701. light

  702. to expose

  703. all your mess. And you need to come to

  704. him humble, broken, fully, exactly,

  705. authentically as you are. Not just

  706. wearing a mask, not coming dressed in

  707. your best church gear like this is I'm

  708. I'm coming to you broken. I'm coming to

  709. you hollow. I'm coming to you in need.

  710. And then

  711. maybe there's some of you as well who

  712. need to go, hey, I I need a I just need

  713. a dose of humility. I need the light.

  714. I thought I thought I could see and I

  715. need to step in and I need to come and I

  716. need to go. I'm blind and I need you. I

  717. need you to guide me. I need you to walk

  718. with me because I can do nothing good on

  719. my own. The light of Christ is there for

  720. you. If you want, if that's you, if any

  721. of those is you, would you step into the

  722. light? We got right up here at the

  723. altar. Would you take a second, just

  724. step up into the light? If you're going,

  725. I need God to expose my mess. I need to

  726. seek him in truth. I need to rewrite my

  727. story. I need to reframe my mess. I need

  728. to just step into the truth of God. If

  729. you want to step into the light of

  730. Christ, come on up. Come on up. And I

  731. want to pray into this because I believe

  732. I believe that we should be a church

  733. that's always drawing into the light of

  734. Christ. Amen. Come on. As I pray, you

  735. can come on up. Heavenly Father, I pray

  736. in the name of Jesus,

  737. we draw near to you.

  738. You say, "Draw near to me." And you will

  739. draw near to us. So, Father God, I pray

  740. as we come,

  741. we come saying, "Here's my mess.

  742. Here's the unknown. Here's what I don't

  743. understand. Here is my pride. Here is my

  744. dysfunction. Here is my past. Here is my

  745. trauma. Here is my my sin. Here are my

  746. issues. Here are my addictions. I'm

  747. coming to you with all of it, God. Lord,

  748. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus.

  749. Would your light bring healing? Would

  750. your light bring life? Would your light

  751. reveal truth?

  752. Would your light reveal the false lies

  753. of all the other false truths out there

  754. that we can come to you and you alone.

  755. Father God, I thank you that you are

  756. restoring right here. You are doing new

  757. things right here. You are bringing

  758. about new life right here. In the mighty

  759. name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Come on. I

  760. want to stay here for a second. I

  761. believe that God has God has something

  762. that he's doing in here.

  763. If you are, as we're stepping into this

  764. next song, if you are going, man, I need

  765. to step into the light of Christ for the

  766. first time ever, for the first time in a

  767. long time, what I want to do is I want

  768. to meet you up front here. I'm going to

  769. come right up front, right over by this

  770. banner. Would you come and meet me right

  771. over there so that we can I want to pray

  772. with you. I don't want you to do this

  773. alone. Come find me because this is the

  774. greatest step you will ever find. There

  775. is more hope and purpose and life and

  776. fulfillment in the truth of Jesus. I

  777. promised you. Would you come and meet me

  778. right up here if you're dedicating your

  779. life or you're giving your life to him

  780. for the first time? Amen.
