Happy Mother's Day, moms.

And I don't want you to clap too loud

yet. I wrote a letter to you that I want

to read and then we're going to

celebrate the moms. Can I read the

letter?

Okay. All right. Here is it's called

Here's to the Moms. Here's to the moms

who woke up tired today and did it

anyway. Here's to the moms who feel

unseen but keep showing up with quiet

strength. Here's to the new moms, still

learning, still wondering if you're

doing it right. Here's to the seasoned

moms carrying years of love, sacrifice,

and wisdom. Here's to the single moms

doing the work of two and still giving

everything that you have. Here's to the

married moms holding it all together in

ways that no one fully sees. Here's to

the co-parenting moms who have to

navigate not seeing your kids every day.

Here's to the stepmom who may at times

feel out of place, but you love anyway.

Here's to the working moms balancing

deadlines and dinner tables and parties.

Here's to the stay-at-home moms talking

to little people all day every day with

little adult interaction.

Here's to the moms who feel like we're

win like they're winning and those who

feel like they are failing. You are not.

Here's to the moms with loud homes and

full hearts. And here's to the moms

sitting in silence aching for what what

once was or what hasn't come. Here's to

the moms who have carried babies in

their womb. And here's to the moms who

only carry them in their heart. Here's

to the adoptive moms who chose your

child to love. And to the foster moms

who opened your lives with courage and

compassion. Here's to the moms who have

lost a child. Your love still matters

and your motherhood still counts. Here's

to the moms that are walking through

grief today, holding on to only

memories. Here's to the moms who are

waiting, waiting for a positive test, a

phone call, a miracle. Here's to the

moms who are healing from words spoken,

wounds carried, and expectation

from expectations unmet. Here's to the

moms who didn't have a great model, but

chose to become one anyway. Here's to

the spiritual moms mentoring and

discipling and loving the next

generation into purpose. Here's to the

women who mother hearts even if they've

never held a baby. Here's to the moms

who feel strong and the moms who feel

like they're barely holding it together.

Here's to the moms who pray bold prayers

over their children. And here's to the

moms who can only whisper the name of

Jesus. Here's to the moms who are

celebrating today. And here's to the

moms who are barely surviving.

Here's to the moms who wonder if it's

enough. It is. Here's to the moms who

question their impact. Here's to the

moms who give and give and give with

nothing in return. God sees your

sacrifice, your tears, and every unseen

moment. Here's to the moms who won't get

a phone call or a card or a gift today.

Here's to the moms who are waiting and

praying for your child to know Jesus.

Here's to the moms who are discipling

your kids to be leaders and warriors.

And here's to all the moms in this room.

You are seen. You are loved. You are

doing holy work. And you are changing

the world whether you know it or not.

One faithful moment at a time. Would

every mom stand up in this room, please?

And I want us Come on. Can we start

celebrating? I want you to give the

loudest shout to the moms in the room.

We love you. We celebrate you and honor

you today. And what I want to do, it it

might feel uncomfortable. Maybe you've

never done this. And that is okay. We're

going to do it to together today. I want

you to just turn around or turn to the

side, put your hand on a mom, and we're

just going to pray. I'm going to pray

for for these moms. God, we are so

great. We wouldn't be here without moms.

So, we are grateful today for every mom

in this room.

Everyone that feels seen or unseen or

loved or unloved today. God, I pray that

they would feel seen by you and seen by

the people in this room. I pray that you

would lavish your love upon them, lavish

your grace upon them. I pray that if

they walked in without joy today, that

they would feel the joy of the Lord

today, that they would feel loved and

seen. God, we pray your blessing upon

them, your favor over their lives, over

their homes, over the things that they

do day in and day out. We ask that you

would continue to take them further.

That you would meet every need, God.

That they the ones that they speak aloud

and the ones that are hidden in their

hearts, would you meet their needs

today? Would you grow their faith today,

God? Would you do whatever it is that

they need from you? Would you do that

for them today in Jesus name? Amen.

We love you, moms.

Alrighty.

Well, I'm excited to preach. I told the

stage huddle this message is about an

hour. So, I'm just kidding. I think I

think I'm going to try real hard. It's

not going to be an hour. Um, but today

we are talking about identity. We're

talking about being hidden in Christ.

Have you ever shown up to the airport? I

have my Why is it I need to say this.

I'm looking at my picture and I'm like,

why is it that the IDs have the worst

pictures of us and we have to live with

it like till at 2028?

Terrible. Um, have you ever shown up to

the airport with your ID or without your

ID? Anybody ever lost it?

No one in this room. Okay. Okay. Thank

you. Yeah, that was not a rhetorical

question. Um or you've been on a trip

and you struggle like you couldn't find

it anywhere so it was hard to get back

home. Anybody ever done that? I've never

done that.

Okay. Wow. But isn't it crazy that our

ID you could be at the person at the

airport counter and you can say your

name and they don't care until they see

this. It's like they don't know if

you're really you. Your ID gives you a

right to travel. It gives you a right to

get into certain places, a right to

drive a car. There are so many things

that your ID gives you access to. And a

lot of us, we probably find a lot of our

identity in this card. And what is on

it? Your name is on it. Your address,

your birthday, your height, your weight.

I know you all lied about your weight.

Come on, be honest. Uh, but what the

scripture is going to tell us today is

guess what? This card is the least who

we are. And everybody in this room has

found some sort of identity in things

that are other than Christ at one point

or another. For some, it might be that

you find your identity in what's on this

card. And for others, if you're somebody

who's always thinking about approval,

then your identity is probably found uh

in performance.

And if you're if you're somebody who

thinks about money a lot and you are you

find yourself panicking if you don't

have money, then you probably find your

identity in security. If you're thinking

always thinking about yourself and your

schedule and your house, then your

identity might be found in control. If

you are feeling like you always need to

be in a relationship to be happy, then

your identity is found in validation.

If your longings and lack of receiving

the desires that are in your heart, if

those things cause your relationship

with God to suffer, then you have your

identity in the wrong thing. And today I

want to talk to believers and I want to

talk about what our truest and most real

identity is. The most of who we are and

who we were created to be. God tells us

all throughout scripture that you and I,

we have a true identity, and that is

hidden with Christ. Your truest identity

is not what your driver's license says

about you. It is not your job or what

you do for a living. It is not the

mistakes you've made, the things you've

done. It's not your marital status. It's

not your gender. It's who God says that

you are.

And your greatest battle in this life

will be the battle of who you believe

you really are. Because we all live

according to that.

If you believe that you are worthless

and small, you will live a small life.

If you think that you're a failure,

you're never going to take risks. If you

think that you are too old to make a

difference, then you're going to become

a couch potato. If you believe that you

are unlovable, then you're going to seek

love from anyone that gives you

attention. If you believe that money is

happiness, you will work yourself dead.

If you believe that success is the

answer, you will always find yourself

striving. If you believe that you aren't

good enough, then you will never rise to

all that God created you to be and do.

If you believe that you are your past,

then you will live in the bondage of

your sin. And if you believe that you

are your pain, you will bring pain to

everyone around you. What you believe

about yourself is significant to how

your life is going to go on earth.

And what I see the enemy doing is going

after people's identity so that they

never try to become all that God wants

to do in them. Or he gets you so fixated

on this one idol or thing in your life

that's not actually significant to God.

Did you know that Satan doesn't have to

get you to believe that God isn't real?

He is okay with you believing that he's

real as long as you never do anything

significant because of that truth.

He's after your identity because when

you know who you are and what you're

capable because of Christ, you and you

are hidden with him, you become Satan's

greatest threat. Why? Because you live

according to what you believe.

In Matthew 3:17,

Matthew 3:17

we see Satan. He even tries to go after

Jesus's identity. God says who Jesus is

in this scripture. He says, "This is my

son that I am well pleased with." And

then right after in Matthew 4, verse

three, the tempter, it says the tempter,

Satan, approaches Jesus. And what's the

first word that he says? Do they have

it?

uh don't have it. The first word that he

says if you are the son of God. So God

says this is my son. And Satan says if

you are the son of God. So he attacks

his identity. If you're the son of God,

tell these stones to become bread. The

enemy attacks his identity. And he is

still doing the same thing today. The

enemy doesn't try new things. He does

the same things over and over. And he

says things like, "If you're actually

good enough, they would have chosen you.

If you're actually worthy of love, that

relationship would have worked out. If

you would have tried a bit harder, then

you would be further along.

If you had their life and their

upbringing, you'd really be something

significant."

And what you need to know today is that

roles in your life will change. Mistakes

happen. Life is going to change. But

identity is not something that can ever

be taken from you. Your identity does

not change.

And your identity is not given by the

father of lies. He doesn't have the

right or the authority to distort your

identity. You are under Christ's

authority.

Colossians 3:3 says you are hidden. It

Colossians 3:3

says, "For you died." Did you know that

when you became a believer, you died?

Your life is no longer who you were. For

you died and your life is now hidden

with Christ. What I want to show you,

this is hard to do with one hand, but I

was not about to use that headset again.

I don't like it. So, here's the thing.

This is you, okay? Before Christ, you

are on your own. You're doing your thing

and everybody knows you, right? When you

become a Christian, your life now is

hidden in Christ.

And Christ is the son of God. And so no

longer should people see,

no longer do they see you as much as

they see him, right? You can still see

me in there, but you mostly should see

God. And what we do is we make a big

deal of our personalities. We make a big

deal of our trauma and our sin, our

activity, our performance, your job,

your addiction, your affair, your

abortion, your divorce. We make a big

deal. Look at me. Look what I've done.

And we're still living like it's about

us. We like to make sure that people see

everything that we are, everything

that's happened to us because that used

to be all that we knew. That's where we

found our worth and our identity is in

our story. But our identity now as

followers of Christ is that we're hidden

in him. And that becomes the big deal.

That is what people should see and

experience when they experience you.

Amen.

>> There is a lot that makes up your story,

but none of it is because who you are.

Because your identity is not what you

do. It's not who you are. But

ultimately, it's about who he is and has

made you to be.

So why do we need to know who we are?

Because the world is trying to tell us.

People in your life are trying to tell

you on a daily basis. And it's really

hard to make wise decisions when you

don't know who you are or what you're

called to. When do I say yes and when do

I say no? I uh I remember this guy in

college

at Moody Bible. I need you to know that

because of this story. Moody Bible

Institute. Okay. Took me on a date and

I'm thinking it's a Bible college.

There's not crazies. Well, this guy was

crazy.

And he just wanted to be physical and he

wanted to smoke hookah. And I don't even

know what hookah is or looks like,

right? I just knew this is not going to

work.

like I've got a call on my life and you

are not it. I need somebody that loves

God deeply and he lives to honor him and

will lead me in that.

Single people,

they can be cute, but you have too much

purpose to fight battles on if they're

going to go to church or if they're

going to love Jesus, right?

like they got to go because you have too

much purpose on your life. If I am

always pushing you to love God, then

this is not going to work. I knew that

because I knew my identity and my call.

I didn't even stay through the whole

date. When you know who you are, every

decision is easier. So, what is our true

identity? You have to first know your

identity. And here is what it is. If you

get nothing else out of today, this is

the scripture I want you to know.

Ephesians 1 4-6.

Let's open up our Bibles and let's look

that up.

For he chose us. Can you say that? For

he chose us in him. The first thing

about you that will never change is that

you were chosen. And you weren't chosen

just by anybody. You were chosen by the

person

who holds the entire world in motion.

I need you to think about that today.

Before you ever existed in the physical

form, you were chosen.

The God who keeps the world spinning

every day chose you. And just that alone

should make you live with your head held

high. The God that wins every battle

that he fights.

The God that can do anything that he

wants

and love anybody that he wants. Chose

you.

Moving on. Before the foundations of the

world, he chose you to be holy and

blameless in love before him. You were

created to live a life that is holy and

blameless.

Holy means set apart. So anything

otherwise or that's counter to that is

not who he created you to be or do. So

when you are making a decision in your

life, ask yourself, is this holy?

The next thing that it says is he

predestined us to be adopted as sons

through Jesus Christ for himself. When a

child is adopted, they don't earn a last

name. They don't earn your love. They

receive it. You don't earn your

salvation. You receive it. You don't

earn an identity in Christ. You receive

it for his delight.

The next thing that it says is according

to the good pleasure of his will to the

praise of his glorious grace that he

lavished on us in the beloved. You've

been lavished with grace. Lavished means

poured out in abundance with grace. So

you are chosen. You are called to live a

holy life. You are adopted as sons and

daughters in Christ and you have been

lavished with grace that you do not

deserve. And therefore

we live from that place. This is your

identity.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says,

2 Corinthians 5:17

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new

creation."

You are different than who you used to

be. And in order to be a new creation,

there has to be an old person. And when

you give your life to Christ, you walk

in a new way. You are now different.

Right?

Okay,

>> I think I'm talking to the church today.

Now that we've established our identity,

now the second thing is that you have to

live according to your identity.

Colossians 3:5 and 10. Why don't we turn

Colossians 3:5

there? Colossians 3:5 and 10 says, "Put

Colossians 3:5

to death therefore

whatever belongs to your earthly

nature." sexual immorality, impurity,

lust, evil desires, and greed, which is

idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of

God is coming. You used to walk, church.

You used to walk in these ways, in the

life you once lived, but now you must

also rid yourselves of all such things

as these: anger, rage, malice, slander,

and filthy language from your lips. Do

not lie to each other since you have

taken off your old self along with its

practices and you've put on the new self

which is being renewed in knowledge in

the image of the creator.

This word renewed like the word

restored. It means that it's always been

there but it's laid dormant. And now

that you are a believer in Christ, it's

being renewed.

If you are a newer believer, this part

and living this scripture, it takes

time.

But this is our pursuit. If you find

yourself going back repeatedly to things

that are like in the scripture, there's

other lots of other scriptures of other

things, but things like this that you

know are sinful,

old or new believer, then you haven't

fully come to recognize who you are in

Christ or what's inside of you. And I

feel like I I need to say this that the

people in your old life that are doing

old life things

that say otherwise that say things they

don't like you coming to church. They

don't like you growing in your faith.

They mock you. They don't live like you

do. They will try to get you to to stay

the same as you were. Why? So that they

can stay the same.

It's like the friend who doesn't want

you to like mushrooms because they don't

like them. I'm that friend.

They want to live a mediocre life that

you were not called to live.

No one that is in Christ is called to a

mediocre life. No one. You have been

chosen and therefore you are now a

representative of Christ. And some of

you need to get some new friends. You

need to get around people who know who

they are in Christ that can help lead

you to the same knowledge.

And for those of you that are like,

"Well, I'm this way here and then I come

to church and everybody bugs me. They're

always checking in and, you know, trying

to hold me accountable." When people

call you out or check in on you, it's

not because they want to control your

life. It's because they see your true

identity and they are calling you to it.

So, I want to go back to this scripture

Colossians 3. Look at these. Take a

screenshot. Write some of them down. And

some of you are looking at this list and

you go, "Well, I can follow Jesus and

still have my old ways just a little

bit." Because that one right there,

it's it's a little bit too I'm already

too far deep in it. So, I can't do that.

I can still follow Jesus and have this

one. No, you cannot.

You cannot. You cannot love Jesus and

pursue worldly things. I'm not talking

about never sinning. I'm talking about

I'm going I'm following Jesus and I

still like I still want the things that

oppose him. It doesn't work like that.

We are called to live within the

boundaries of what God has given through

scripture. And when you know your

identity, you understand that you

weren't created to go live your life and

go after the things that you feel and

the every emotion that you have.

It's not working right. It doesn't lead

you to good places. You were created

with self-control

to glorify him in everything you do. 1

1 Corinthians 10:31

Corinthians 10:31 says, "Whatever you

do, whether you eat or drink, do it for

the glory of God."

He is not a restricting God. He's a

loving God. He's not trying to hold you

back. He's trying to protect you. Just

like a parent gives boundaries. I was

thinking about uh what do kids do? They

run into the parking lots, right? And I

was like, why? Why is it parking lots

that kids do that with? And I got it. I

have the answer. I thought about it.

It's because I think cuz I feel this cuz

I'm so short. It's like a tunnel because

the cars are all taller than the kids

and they're like running through a

tunnel. Anyways, so we tell kids you

cannot run in the parking lot. and all

they want to do is run. I have a

9-year-old and an 11-year-old and a

13-year-old. They still run through the

parking lots, but we give them

boundaries and we say, "You can't do

that because we want to protect them."

And God does the same with us. He gives

us boundaries to protect us.

Proverbs says that there is a path that

seems right but leads to death.

And some of us are going after deadly

things and saying that you love Jesus.

And I have to tell you that it's giving

a bad representation of him to our

world.

It's confusing people and they don't

want anything to do with it because it

is giving off this like identity crisis

vibe.

It's like, do you love him or do you

love the world? Because you can't love

the world in that way, dulging in the

sinful nature and say that Jesus is

king.

When you love him, your life has to look

like it. So filthy language,

people in the room cursing,

that's not your identity. Sexual

immorality, lust, greed, slander, it

doesn't have a place in your identity.

Anger, unforgiveness, relationships with

people that aren't serving God, that

doesn't have a place in your new

identity. Staying in your addictions

doesn't have a place. It doesn't look

like Jesus. and you're now hidden in

him.

And you can't be hidden in him

and live like that because he's not

that. Does that make sense? Okay.

Maybe it's not on the list in

Colossians, but you know, it's the thing

that needs to change. Scripture tells us

that we can overcome all of these things

by his strength. Not our own. You can't

do it on your own, but by his strength.

Luke 10:19 says, "I have given you

Luke 10:19

authority to trample over all power of

the enemy." Not some, all power of the

enemy. Romans 8, we are more than

conquerors through him who loved us. So

you have to choose today. Is it going to

be your old life and your old identity

or your new one?

You can't be hidden with him with things

that are not of him. And I want to call

some of you higher today

because you love Jesus, but your life is

showing that your identity is being

found and formed around other things.

And Jesus is calling you higher today.

Last thing, keep remembering your

identity.

Some of you have allowed people and what

they've done or even what you've done,

what's been said about you or how your

life has turned out to crush you. And

you're walking around with your head

down.

You're walking around feeling worthless

and like you're nothing. And you've

forgotten the inheritance that you

carry.

Just like your ID gets you places, your

ID in Christ also gets you places. It

gives you access and authority to things

that nobody else has.

I have had a lot of things said about

me.

Someone once told me that I am a shallow

communicator.

There are people that when you're a

pastor, people will tell you all kinds

of things about you. How you should

dress, how you should talk, how I should

act, what I should be a part of, and how

much I should be a part of. All kinds of

things. And those things, I'm just

human, right? So those things over time

they get me down and I used to take it

so personal because I'm a people pleaser

by nature which is partly why I think

that God has me doing what I'm doing so

that he can gut that out of me. I used

to become who everyone wanted me to be

so that I could please everyone.

And because it's not healthy to live

like that, I had to learn dependency

on God alone so that I didn't go crazy

or become a different person.

Band, you can come come on out. After

you have enough time with the Lord, he

will do for you what he did for me. And

he over and over and over again reminds

me of my identity. He reminds me of my

call. And I'm telling you daily, I need

him to remind me again that I am not

what people say about me. I'm not my

success. I'm not my failures.

I'm not called

I'm not called to do what people think I

should do. Some people think I should be

up here. Some people don't.

I'm not called to do what anybody else

calls me to do. I didn't put myself

here. He did. Right? And although I

respect, I will receive feedback. It's

not about accountability. It's not about

living holy. But I have to look to the

one who created me and knows me better

than anybody else. And it's not an

excuse to do whatever I want. The first

thing that I know is that it has to

align with his word. Whatever I do has

to align with his word. Whatever you do

has to align with his word and it needs

to align with the revelation that he

gives you and I. I have to look to the

one who called me or I would break and I

would be uh like a what's the animal

that's all the different things changes

colors? I'd be like a chameleon. I'd be

like, "One day you want me to lead

worship. One day you want me to go to

this thing and do this and do that and

oh, I got to go to this party and d No,

I have to do what God called me to do."

And God God called all of us as

believers to remember always that you

have authority and power. And we are

called to take huge risks and to do

things that maybe nobody else is doing,

but he has equipped you to do. And when

you know who God is and that because you

are his and that you have a call on your

life, it will change everything about

who you are and what you do with the

rest of your life. And you begin to stop

thinking. Please stop thinking in terms

of your job,

in terms of your role

and who you are within those roles, and

start thinking about God and who you are

in Christ in ways that you can glorify

him with your life. Because there will

come a time

when your job won't be there and you

can't fall apart and you don't have to

fall apart.

And when you know your job and you have

clear boundaries and expectations, you

can do your job well. When you know your

call and you know who you are, you can

do it well to the glory of God.

And this is what I believe. I believe

that the purpose and the call of all of

our lives is simple. It is just to

glorify God.

And within that, guess what? You can do

whatever you want.

I have a lot of roles that I carry.

I have one identity, one thing that I am

to my core. And here's what it is. I am

loved by God. I am here to love and

serve people and glorify him. That's it.

And I'll do that through a million

different ways all week long.

If who I was was any one role,

it would limit all that God wants me to

do in and through me.

You'll never you're not going to find me

being like in this season, I'm just

going to do this one thing. No, my roles

are significant and ways that God uses

me, but they don't define me. One day,

my roles,

what this says,

my talents, my job, my kids, my husband,

all of it will be gone. But not my

identity. And that's with me for

eternity. I can do anything and still

carry an identity and purpose.

So hear me today.

You are on this earth to love God, to

love people, and to glorify him. And

however

you want to do that, however I want to

do it, if it aligns with his word and if

it aligns with what he says to me, do

it. Start a business. Make your yard

look amazing. Get married. Have kids.

Start a job, play sports, build

something, take care of your body,

disciple someone, serve in the church.

It's not one thing or the other. As long

as you have the kingdom in mind and

you're glorifying God with it, do it.

Some days I am called, especially the

month of May, to carpool kids around.

Any other moms? It's like, why do they

put everything in one month? I don't

know.

Some days I'm carpooling and I'm making

dinner to the glory of God. And other

moments I'm called to sit with someone

at a coffee shop, help guide them to

Christ. I'm to sit with a leader,

continue growing them to the glory of

God. Some days I'm called to sit with my

husband and just laugh and eat sushi

because that's what we like to do, to

the glory of God. In other moments, I'm

called to lead this church with vision

and clarity and risktaking and to lead

our team with passion to the glory of

God. Next week, I'm going on a trip with

all my siblings and their spouses and

we're going to eat and do fun things and

spend time and build those relationships

to the glory of God. And all of that

flows from who I am in Christ and how I

can glorify him every day. I'm going to

live it up here on this earth for the

kingdom and for his glory. I'm not

waiting until I get to my destination,

until I get to eternity. We've got work

to do here. We've got a life to live.

We've got people to build up and to

bring with us. Amen.

I need a church that's a little more

excited about that.

Yeah.

The last thing I want to tell you to

wrap all of this up is that before, this

is so important. Before you can know

your identity and walk in it, you have

to know him. And I am not talking about

come to church kind of know him. I am

talking about intimate conversations

with God. I am talking about getting

your face

in the book in the Bible.

I am talking about discerning if it's

his voice or if it's my friend's voice.

I'm talking about letting him steer your

everyday life. I have to know him if I

want to know who I am because you are

made in his image.

Matthew 16, this is our last scripture.

Please turn there. Matthew 16:13.

Matthew 16:13

This is so cool to me.

The Pharisees and the Sadducees are

coming to Jesus and testing him. I want

you to picture this in your mind. I'm

picturing like brown

dirt. Brown dirt and temples,

pagan

temples, idols in this area. They're in

Cesaria Philippi.

They're surrounded by it. And there

comes Jesus and his disciples and the

Pharisees and the Sadducees.

Do we have it in our mind? Okay.

Everyone is saying that that is a god.

It's like saying a Buddha is God. This

Hindu temple their god. And people are

saying that about these places.

And then they're saying, "Jesus, who are

you?"

And Jesus asked the disciples, "Well,

who do you say that I am?"

And for the first time ever recorded,

surrounded by false gods,

one of the disciples, Simon Peter,

publicly proclaims Jesus is Christ.

And Simon Peter says, "You are the

Christ." Do you know what happens next?

I think we just gloss over this. Jesus

turns to Peter and he says, "And I tell

you, you are Peter

and on this rock I will build my

church." Do you catch that?

Simon Peter says,

"You are the Christ." He tells him who

he is. And Jesus turns to him and says,

"And you are Peter."

It's not Peter wasn't even asking.

Peter knows his name.

And Jesus is affirming

you are Peter. When we establish who he

is, we find who we are.

And he is God. He is perfect. I'm not.

But guess what? I'm hidden in him. And I

believe in who he is. So I can believe

that what he says about me is true. You

can read the scriptures all over the

place. He will tell you who you are. And

I can walk according to it because I am

hidden in him.

And it's not about

how awesome I am. I am God's chosen one.

But it's not about me. It's because he

is holy and he chose me. Do you

understand that today?

And I live in the freedom of that. I am

not striving for perfection. I'm living

in the perfection of the father's love

and grace. And who I am called to be is

a person on mission. Every day,

everywhere that I go, in everything that

I do, they are seeing him,

right? They're seeing him.

And I'm in there somewhere. I'm in there

a little bit,

but ultimately they're seeing him. I'm

here to glorify him. Not because I have

to earn anything, but because it's who I

am to my core.

It's who I was created to be.

Would you stand up in this room today?

I have two calls that I feel led to

make. The first one is those of you in

this place that you have forgotten who

you are. You have forgotten what you

were created for.

And maybe you've turned to some things

that are in that Colossians 3. You have

not been hidden in Christ. You've been

hidden in this world. And you're

realizing it today that maybe my life

isn't hidden.

Maybe people are seeing me more than

they're seeing him.

And maybe I'm no longer aligned with

that.

It doesn't align with who God is calling

you to be.

I'm going to ask you to boldly come up

to the front.

Come on. Anybody in the room who's like,

"This isn't me anymore." Or, "I don't

want it to be." Anybody?

All I'm going to do is pray with you.

Nobody in the room feels that way.

Okay? Then we're going to go to the

second group.

The second group is those that don't

Thank you. Thank you for your boldness

and honesty. The second group is those

that don't know him with every eye

closed. You don't know who you are

because you don't know him. And I'm not

talking about people who just haven't

been saved. I'm talking about people who

haven't been in the word, who haven't

been going deep with the Lord. You feel

like you need to grow that today to know

who you really are. You need to know

him. I want you to come forward. Any

group of those two groups, would you

just be willing to come forward so that

we can pray with you? We've got a prayer

team that wants to pray. And I'm asking

for boldness today for those in this

place that are feeling

worthless, that have lost who they are

and what they are called to. We're going

to pray that you would feel seen today.

That you would feel noticed. That you

would feel no longer forgotten. Anybody

else in this place? Why don't you come

forward?

And I'm going to begin to pray. As I

begin to pray, would you come on up?

God, we just pray for every person in

this room who feels

forgotten,

who feels worthless, who feels unseen,

who feels like they've just been going

through the motions. Every person that

feels shattered and crushed

and just completely

at their end, God, I pray purpose over

their life. I pray that they would know

you and therefore know who they are.

I pray God that you would move in their

life that it would from this day forward

that it would be totally different.

Totally different God.

That they would love you with all that

they have. That they would seek your

face day in and day out.

I pray that you would give them purpose

today. Would you even just speak a word

over them that would give them purpose

to their heart and to their life.

And I want to pray for anybody in this

room that you don't know Jesus as

savior. That you've never made him lord

o over your life. That you've never

surrendered your whole life to him.

If that is you, would you just raise

your hand? It's only me that can see

you.

And we're just going to pray a prayer of

salvation over you.

God, I pray for anybody in this room

that's wrestling with you even right now

in this moment

that they would not hold themselves back

to who you are and what you've called

them to. I pray God that they would

surrender all to you. that you would

become their everything

that they would leave this place a

different person today

in Jesus name.
