  1. So what is our response as children of God? What is our response as the people of God?

  2. Because I mean if you take that thought to its logical end that the robots with AI brains are coming,

  3. people right now are predicting 80% of all white-collar jobs just evaporating overnight.

  4. What does that mean for the child of God? Definitely start with not being afraid, amen.

  5. Knowing that the Lord is sovereign and nothing takes him by surprise.

  6. Welcome to the City Light Church podcast. Thanks for joining us today,

  7. as we look into God's Word and discover the hope and truth that He has for us.

  10. Pastor Boyan Jansik and his team believe that the power of the Holy Spirit

  11. is already working in our hearts and minds.

  12. As you listen to today's teaching, remember that you are deeply loved by God,

  13. that you are surrounded by His grace, and that He has a real hope and a future for you.

  14. Welcome to everybody joining us online.

  15. I bet when you made that decision to stay home, you thought it'd be about two feet of snow by now.

  16. And right here, I can actually see the outside and I can't even tell if it's snowing or raining.

  17. It's like slushing with no stickage.

  18. Before I begin ministering to you, I'd just like to minister to you.

  19. Mark chapter 16.

    Mark 16 chapter mention

  20. Starting in verse 15.

  21. I just had a quick conversation.

  22. Real quick about the topic of healing right before worship began.

  23. And I've said this what I'm about to say here and there in the midst of a sermon,

  24. but I want to really just take some time and share with you my experience when it comes to healing

  25. and something that I firmly believe.

  26. Mark 16.15 after the resurrection, Jesus's final words to His disciples,

  27. He said to them, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

  28. That's for us by the way, right? Not just the 12, but that's for us.

  29. And we find ourselves in Queens where there's 161 nations in the borough of Queens.

  30. So we don't even need a passport, we can go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

  31. And when we go to Guatemala, like you heard last Sunday,

  32. but that's just because it's so fun to go to.

  33. I'm just chuckling because, you know, I've been going for 17 years now.

  34. So I asked Pastor Mike, Mike McComb, I said, you know, in that village,

  35. we're all the little kids that I got saved.

  36. And he said, well, I know a bunch of them are putting up drywall in New York City.

  37. Okay. All right. Got that. They could come by and say, thank you.

  38. Visit, you know. Amen.

  39. But he who believes in his baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.

  40. And these signs will follow those who believe.

  41. In my name, they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues.

  42. Isn't that awesome that Jesus, he prophesied and spoke forth that his followers will be speaking in tongues.

  43. And that's just important to note, because sometimes the way tongues is presented

  44. or the way tongues is understood by other Christians from other denominations,

  45. it's like this weird esoteric thing that certain fringe groups do.

  46. And it's not. It's all throughout the book of Acts.

  47. Paul, he gave a good lesson on speaking in tongues and he finished it,

  48. capped it off by saying, don't forbid people to speak in tongues.

  49. And then even Jesus, I mean, he's talking about all miraculous stuff, right?

  50. Because tongues means languages, just in case somebody thinks, well,

  51. he was talking about, you know, missionaries studying and learning five, six, seven, eight languages.

  52. No, that was happening back then.

  53. There's nothing supernatural about hitting the books and learning other languages.

  54. The supernatural is that when you supernaturally speak in other tongues,

  55. they will take up serpents and if they drink anything deadly,

  56. it will by no means hurt them.

  57. And this is what I just wanted to share with you on healing.

  58. It says, they will lay hands on the sick and they will, they will.

  59. Recover.

  60. Now, recover means grow well.

  61. Grow well over time.

  62. Now, this is what I've experienced personally, what I've experienced,

  63. praying for people and seeing people some receive healing,

  64. some don't receive healing.

  65. And I just think it's important for us to acknowledge this.

  66. I believe that like 85% plus of healings that happen

  67. is under this category of grow well, recover over time.

  68. As opposed to an instant miracle.

  69. Now, why is that important just to talk about?

  70. And a lot of preachers, they don't like talking about it,

  71. because oftentimes it's just not as spectacular when it happens over time.

  72. And I'm not talking about over natural time,

  73. like if you got the 72 hour flu and it goes away in 72 hours,

  74. it's not supernatural.

  75. If you grow well and recover within six hours, now we're cooking, amen.

  76. And oftentimes, the healings that are highlighted

  77. are with the giant choir behind the preacher singing near my God to thee,

  78. the spotlights, the lasers, and you came in, you couldn't walk, boom,

  79. now you can walk, and everybody feels then subconsciously,

  80. that's the only way healing comes.

  81. That it has to be instantaneous, it has to be miraculous,

  82. it has to happen right away, or when they don't receive it right away,

  83. they feel, oh, I guess I just didn't receive.

  84. And then they shut their faith off.

  85. Yet every time God has healed me, and years ago,

  86. I was in constant pain, for hernated discs, non-stop pain.

  87. And the Lord healed me over, over, over a course of,

  88. I'd say a couple of months, and it was by me clinging in faith

  89. and just speaking healing out of my mouth.

  90. And you got to get to this place where you start getting good

  91. at using your faith.

  92. You say, how do I get to a place where I'm good at using my faith?

  93. Practice.

  94. Practice makes perfect.

  95. You know, in the beginning, you really don't know what you're doing,

  96. and you're trying to believe, and it's awkward and it's clumsy.

  97. That's all right.

  98. You start off awkward, clumsy, just like I started off,

  99. learning to ride a bike, and you're trying to believe.

  100. We even have a scriptural precedent for that, the one guy who said,

  101. believe, help me with my unbelief.

  102. It's trying to believe.

  103. But you move from trying to believe to where there's a settling

  104. in your spirit.

  105. And the word of God is yes and amen, and it's real to you,

  106. and you've merged with it, and now you know that you know

  107. that you are healed, even though nothing may have changed

  108. in your body, but you have received that truth,

  109. and you are firm in standing on that truth, and then you persist in that.

  110. Now, you're believing that you're healed, yet pain comes

  111. with a very loud speaker, comes with a megaphone in your ear,

  112. and you're going to have blaring pain, or blaring doctors report,

  113. and that'll mess with your faith.

  114. And you learn how to overcome that.

  115. You cling to the word more than you do the doctors report.

  116. You cling to the truth of God's word more than you do the incest and pain.

  117. And you will see that then supernaturally,

  118. yet in the course of time, you grow well.

  119. Hallelujah.

  120. Now, most of Jesus' healings were instant miracles,

  121. because he's awesome like that.

  122. But there were also times, like with the ten lepers,

  123. where it says, as they went, they were cleansed.

  124. Over the course of time, amen.

  125. So, I just want to just say this also real quick to the woman

  126. that I spoke to before service.

  127. Acts 15, I believe it is.

  128. 15 or 14?

  129. 14.

  130. A woman I never met before, and I feel like the Lord wants you to know this,

  131. and in Lister a certain man without strength and his feet was sitting,

  132. a cripple from his mother's womb and had never walked.

  133. This man heard Paul speaking.

  134. Now, Paul, cripple man, Paul observing him,

  135. the sick man, and seeing that he had faith to be healed.

  136. When you've been around the block a few times,

  137. you can see faith on people.

  138. And you can see who has faith to be healed.

  139. And to that woman, I just want you to know,

  140. we only spoke for like 20 seconds,

  141. but I walked away.

  142. You were radiating faith?

  143. Come on.

  144. I know that I know that you will be well.

  145. Hallelujah.

  146. I think it's only her second or third time here,

  147. she just quickly shared with me.

  148. But I walked away going, this woman is healed of the Lord.

  149. And it's with such an unfortunate,

  150. I don't do that with everyone.

  151. Sometimes someone goes, because she made this sweet positive confession,

  152. I'm healed, but there's Christians who go,

  153. but you know, I'm sick, but you know, I'm healed.

  154. Like, what, what is this again?

  155. What do you,

  156. get to that place where you believe it?

  157. Believe it.

  158. Just make it this way.

  159. I believe it.

  160. And receive it.

  161. Hallelujah.

  162. And so I walked away going,

  163. just like that.

  164. I saw that she had faith to be healed.

  165. I watched these guys,

  166. because I like watches.

  167. And, you know, they have a lot of fake Rolexes now.

  168. They always had fakes,

  169. but now they have the super clones out of China.

  170. And they're the exact weight.

  171. They even, they reverse engineered the Rolexes.

  172. You know, Rolex has refineries.

  173. Like, Rolex doesn't like buy gold from the outside.

  174. They actually combine their own gold

  175. and refine them right on site.

  176. Same thing with the platinum and all that.

  177. And these, these super clones have come in now

  178. and flooded the market and are fooling a lot of people.

  179. So I watched these guys on Instagram.

  180. And, you know, the guy assumes it's a fake watch,

  181. and he takes it to that one guy on 47th Street, of course.

  182. And there's like over 20 different security tells

  183. within a Rolex that'll show you whether it's real or not.

  184. But usually he just takes them and goes,

  185. hmm, fake.

  186. And then he'll show you all the ways that he,

  187. that assure that it is fake.

  188. But the moment he took it, he was like,

  189. they ask, how did you know?

  190. He's like, he just felt off.

  191. And so it's like that with the discernment

  192. and the discerning of faith,

  193. when a woman spoke to me,

  194. it just felt on.

  195. You've seen it enough times, it just felt on.

  196. Hallelujah.

  197. Hallelujah.

  198. Thank you, Jesus.

  199. It felt on.

  200. Authentical.

  201. Legitimate.

  202. Amen.

  203. Hallelujah.

  204. For me, the faith is not a game.

  205. It's oftentimes a matter of life or death.

  206. And if you're trying to believe that's all right,

  207. but don't camp out there forever,

  208. make a decision.

  209. Either I'm going to believe or I won't believe.

  210. But then be solid in that decision.

  211. Hallelujah.

  212. I had a message prepared,

  213. but because it's this terrible, terrible blizzard outside,

  214. and a lot of people have stayed back,

  215. I'm going to save it till next Sunday,

  216. because it's an important message.

  217. It was on the sons of Ishikar who had wisdom and understanding

  218. and discernment of the times that we're in.

  219. And I feel like we just need to recalibrate.

  220. Ever so often we need to recalibrate

  221. and just talk about the seasons and the times that we're in.

  222. Amen.

  223. I've found that there is such a flood of information right now,

  224. but even though there's such a flood of information right now,

  225. there are lots of people,

  226. sadly a lot in the church,

  227. that really don't know what's happening in the world right now.

  228. All they know is what their TikTok algo feeds them.

  229. That's it.

  230. They've stopped paying attention to the news,

  231. they've stopped, and they just kind of are living in a bubble.

  232. Have you ever encountered someone like that?

  233. Have you ever tried to talk about something current?

  234. And they're still in 2015?

  235. Like they don't...

  236. No, just me.

  237. Just me and one person nodding at me.

  238. Yeah, you're like, is he talking about me?

  239. Yes, if you're wondering if I'm talking about you,

  240. I'm talking about you.

  241. And so...

  242. With just being aware of what's happening.

  243. Like for example, you know we're going to war with Iran, right?

  244. They didn't say it quite like that, but...

  245. Yeah, America's going to do Israel a solid.

  246. And do some regime changing in Iran.

  247. That's pretty much going to happen.

  248. And something that's been coming up over and over again is the robots again.

  249. The robots...

  250. I said this six, eight months ago,

  251. and I feel like...

  252. I mean, I felt like you were looking at me like at six heads.

  253. But when somebody with 160 IQ

  254. and is also the world's richest man is incestantly talking about it

  255. and saying it's coming much sooner and much quicker than you all think,

  256. I would start paying attention.

  257. Just look at how much it's...

  258. Remember when AI first came out just a few years ago?

  259. They didn't even have the apps,

  260. they had this one website where you could upload a picture

  261. and then a day or two later,

  262. they would send you 10 pictures of like AI, different AI versions of you.

  263. And it was terrible.

  264. It was like, this is not me.

  265. This is like one of them looked like Asian me.

  266. You know, another one was like Mexican me.

  267. It was all the different...

  268. And now it's come such a long way

  269. because it keeps improving upon itself.

  270. And I am just convinced that in two years

  271. we're going to be looking at a completely different world

  272. and we'll be interacting with the entire world in a completely different way.

  273. I served documentary 15 years ago called The Singularity.

  274. Anybody hear of it?

  275. You should watch it.

  276. It's by Raymond Kurzweil.

  277. How many of you know the Kurzweil keyboard?

  278. He's got hundreds of inventions.

  279. One of them is the Kurzweil keyboard.

  280. He's out of flushing queens.

  281. And in the 70s and 80s and 90s,

  282. he had...

  283. I mean, he was like an invention machine.

  284. And he's 80 something years old now.

  285. And right now he's freelancing

  286. at the head artificial intelligence role for Google.

  287. But 15 years ago he came up with that documentary The Singularity

  288. where he just posited that a singularity is coming.

  289. What is the singularity?

  290. That's where technology just starts advancing at such a rapid pace

  291. that you actually need technology to keep up with the technology

  292. and that you need to merge with technology just to keep up

  293. with the ever-increasing technology.

  294. So you take, say, there's 6000 years of human history,

  295. known human history.

  296. Is that fair to say?

  297. 5,900 of those years,

  298. man has pretty much lived the same way.

  299. No light bulbs, no electricity,

  300. no television automobiles, no flying.

  301. They pretty much lived the same way.

  302. Wake up, turn the butter,

  303. beat the clothes against the rock by the brook, no washing machines.

  304. But now we've come into this time of enlightenment

  305. and technology storing,

  306. and if you look at how technology grows,

  307. it's kind of like a hockey stick.

  308. It's an exponential graph

  309. until towards the end it's just a straight vertical line.

  310. And 15 years ago he was talking about how that was coming

  311. and now they're positing that in a couple of years we'll be there.

  312. So what is our response as children of God?

  313. What is our response as the people of God?

  314. Because I mean if you take that thought to its logical end

  315. that the robots with AI brains are coming,

  316. well it means that really a lot of our jobs won't be necessary anymore.

  317. And people right now are predicting 80% of all white-collar jobs

  318. just evaporating overnight.

  319. I'm happy Sunday everybody.

  320. I just came to encourage you this morning.

  321. Just wanted to build you up, you know?

  322. Tell you got a bright and glorious future ahead.

  323. Hallelujah.

  324. What does that mean for the child of God?

  325. It means definitely start with not being afraid.

  326. Amen.

  327. Knowing that the Lord is sovereign and nothing takes him by surprise.

  328. Hallelujah.

  329. And that whenever there's some kind of disruption it also means opportunity.

  330. Some people are predicting, look if the robots with AI brains are coming

  331. and they are, how many of you use AI frequently?

  332. Let me just see your hands.

  333. Have you noticed how much better it's gotten?

  334. It just keeps getting better and better and better

  335. because it's learning and improving.

  336. And so there's a lot of theories about what happened,

  337. but something that everyone seems to agree on is that,

  338. well, when you've got millions of these things,

  339. the cost of things is going to be driven down to zero.

  340. And most people won't have to work.

  341. I guess we'll just be like, you know, the ancient Greeks just walking around

  342. and Toga is just telling stories in the marketplace and philosophizing.

  343. But what will people do for money?

  344. Some say, well, there won't even be a need for money.

  345. I'm like, I don't know.

  346. Heaven and Earth remain and money.

  347. We'll always stick around somehow on this side of heaven.

  348. In heaven, you don't need it. That's why the streets are made of gold.

  349. But it could be that they'll try to introduce some form of UBI,

  350. universal basic income, which commies are very, very big fans of,

  351. I'm not. Amen.

  352. Because if you have a universal basic income,

  353. there is somebody who then can pull that from you,

  354. depending on your behavior, threaten you and hang something over your head.

  355. And we want to make sure that our freedoms are strong and maintained

  356. and we're trusting the Lord, hallelujah.

  357. And so we have to be willing to talk about these things and recognize what's on the horizon

  358. specifically so we can pray now.

  359. Listen, I found that the Lord responds very, very well when we start praying

  360. without fear in advance of something.

  361. Like a good while ahead, just start praying throughout the day.

  362. What should I pray?

  363. Lord, I thank you that you are with me.

  364. There's a good beginning.

  365. You are with me and you order my steps.

  366. I will not be afraid. Why?

  367. You know, the number one reason in the Bible not to be afraid is because thou art with me.

  368. Thou ride and thy staff, they comfort me.

  369. And you're trusting the Lord to keep praying that you will not be harmed.

  370. You will be at the right place, at the right time.

  371. That whatever disruption comes, it'll actually result in your promotion and your favor.

  372. Hallelujah.

  373. I want to show you something out of Genesis 5.

  374. Because when you really start seeing what's happening, your mind can get carried away.

  375. And you realize, I mean, in 2017, the biggest thing that was happening in Silicon Valley,

  376. how many know what it was?

  377. It was VR. That's all they were talking about.

  378. I'll go to Wired Magazine at VR.

  379. What happened to VR?

  380. A few people played it, threw up, and that was that.

  381. But 2017, 2018, it was all about VR.

  382. And it was like, well, when is the future going to come here?

  383. Then out of the blue, AI came.

  384. It came quickly, quickly, and then just started growing exponentially.

  385. And so now we find ourselves like looking around and going, what mean if this?

  386. Where is this all going?

  387. I want to just read to you something that I read and I remind myself just to remind me of the bigness of God.

  388. The greatness of God.

  389. And how he knows the end from the beginning.

  390. And it's found in Genesis chapter 5, arguably the most boring chapter in the book of Genesis.

    Genesis 5 chapter mention

  391. Because it's just a bunch of genealogies and begats.

  392. Yet God hit his awesomeness even in Genesis chapter 5.

    Genesis 5 chapter mention

  393. It says, this is the book of the genealogy of Adam.

  394. That's all, folks.

  395. In the day that God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.

  396. He created the male and female, blessed them and called the man kind in the day they were created.

  397. And Adam lived 130 years and begot a son in his own likeness after his image and named him Seth.

  398. After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were 800 years and he had sons and daughters.

  399. And then it goes on, going on to verse 9, Seth had a son called Inash.

  400. Inash had a son, verse 12, called Canaan.

  401. And Canaan had Mahalo.

  402. And then Mahalo had Jarad.

  403. And then Jarad lived, verse 18, 162 years and begot Inak.

  404. And then Inak lived 65 years and begot Methuselah.

  405. And it lists these things and then we go on to Genesis 6 and Genesis 6, of course.

  406. The Nephilim come and things get really weird, real quick.

  407. Six chapters in already, other dimensional beings are coming in and making the giants.

  408. I could tell from a reaction that I should never preach on that and what I really believe.

  409. Okay.

  410. Let's look at those names in Genesis 5.

  411. Hallelujah.

  412. Adam.

  413. Adam means man.

  414. And then Adam had Seth, Seth means appointed.

  415. And Seth had Inash, Inash means mortal.

  416. And Inash begot Canaan and Canaan means sorrow.

  417. These are all the names that you'll find in Genesis 5 in order.

  418. Mahalo means the blessed of God.

  419. Jarad used to work for subway.

  420. It means she'll come down.

  421. Inak means teaching.

  422. Young man by the name of Methuselah means his death shall bring.

  423. Les mech means the despairing and Noah means comfort or it means rest.

  424. So those are the names in Genesis 5 and what they originally mean in Hebrew.

  425. Now can you believe that God is so big and so grand that he hid the gospel message in the names in Genesis 5?

  426. Because when you take all those names and put them together in a sentence, here's what it means.

  427. Man is appointed to be mortal and to have sorrow.

  428. But the blessed God shall come down teaching and his death shall bring the despairing comfort and rest.

  429. Hallelujah.

  430. He knows the end from the beginning.

  431. In fact, his very name, Yahweh.

  432. Yahweh is four symbols in the Hebrew.

  433. Jude, hey, va, hey.

  434. Look this up.

  435. When I saw this, I fell in love with it so much I get attacked too.

  436. I'm left arm of it.

  437. Something so beautiful.

  438. Everyone knows Jarwa.

  439. Jehovah.

  440. Yahweh.

  441. Jude, hey, va, hey.

  442. And each letter has a corresponding picture.

  443. And Jude is a hand.

  444. Hey, is a man going like this going, hey, behold, look over here.

  445. Vive is a spike or a tent peg.

  446. Jude, hey, va, hey again.

  447. Again, the man holding his hand going, look over here.

  448. Jude, hey, va, hey.

  449. When you read it in Hebrew from right to left is look at the hand, look at the nail.

  450. Behold the hand.

  451. Behold the nail.

  452. God hid the gospel message in his very name.

  453. Yahweh.

  454. Yahweh.

  455. Behold the hand.

  456. Behold the nail.

  457. Hallelujah.

  458. Hallelujah.

  459. Hallelujah.

  460. Well, Jesus, we're talking about the future over and over again said,

  461. fear not.

  462. Fear not.

  463. Fear not.

  464. Two sentiments that he echoed whenever talking about the end times was do not be deceived.

  465. The key that no one deceived you.

  466. And deception is bad because by its very nature you don't know you're getting deceived.

  467. How do you avoid deception?

  468. Well, love truth.

  469. The Bible says buy the truth and sell it not.

  470. You know how loving truth starts?

  471. Don't tell yourself the little lies you tell yourself.

  472. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you and arrest any of those lies.

  473. We like to tell ourselves just to make ourselves feel good temporarily.

  474. Don't entertain falsity.

  475. There's some inconvenient and uncomfortable truths.

  476. Jesus being the only way for a lot of people is one of them.

  477. But I got to embrace it because I love truth.

  478. Satan is known as the father of lies.

  479. Jesus is the God of truth.

  480. So we love truth.

  481. We cling to his word.

  482. We trust the Holy Spirit to lead us in righteousness and truth.

  483. And then do not be afraid.

  484. I want to just make a confession with you concerning the days ahead.

  485. If I didn't talk about this stuff what kind of a pastor would I be?

  486. If all of a sudden it sneaks up on us because when it comes it'll come quickly.

  487. Already I just saw videos of Chinese robots from 2025 where they're all clunky and weird.

  488. And now in 2026 where they are so nimble and so agile.

  489. Two years ago I was looking at these things and the robot still couldn't tell what was water or what was mud or what was cement.

  490. So I didn't know I mean you could trick it.

  491. Now it scans and absolutely can tell the difference between different terrains.

  492. Watching another video and this was the optimist robot from Tesla.

  493. I was frying up some eggs, somebody chucked the tennis ball onto the side and with the other free hand the robot catches the tennis ball mid air.

  494. Just to showcase its nimbleness and agility.

  495. And it'll be pretty cool maybe when they can be in your house, make your bed for you, wash your dishes, tuck you in at night, give you a little kiss.

  496. And walk around your house as a century as it charges itself back up.

  497. We're trusting that we're going to be positioned right no matter what change takes place. Amen.

  498. Let's sing this song to the Lord and I pray the Holy Spirit speak to you times of getting together like this.

  499. What's so special about it, why it's so important is the presence of the Lord comes.

  500. And the presence of the Lord seems to like coming when we're together to get gathered corporately, gathered bodily.

  501. There is a wine in the cluster of grapes.

  502. My prayer for you is that the Lord would speak to you right now, position you for the future.

  503. Hallelujah.

  504. You know I thank God for the gift that we have in Pastor Boyle.

  505. Because they're not, all right, praise God.

  506. Because here's the kicker, we don't have a lot of leaders that are willing to stand in the gap and be.

  507. Sometimes ostracized for saying and doing the right thing and prepping and looking in the direction of the future where we're going.

  508. But I thank God that we have a gift. Amen.

  509. But I also thank God that we have a God.

  510. Our God is so powerful, so glorious.

  511. Now what I love to tell, actually tell my children this regarding God about his gloriousness.

  512. His foresight and his ability to see everything and know all things is what gives us security.

  513. So I tell my daughter sometimes because she's at the age where she thinks she knows sometimes a little bit more than I do.

  514. And I remind her all the time, I said, I'm taller than you.

  515. And I can see further than you and I've been here longer than you before you existed I was.

  516. And I got to remind her every now and again just to put things into perspective.

  517. And one of the ways that has always blessed me in teaching her and one of the ways that I'm still awed by God is when I look at the scriptures and I see the way that he develops things.

  518. So go to Psalm 19.

  519. Psalm 19 says, the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows his handiwork.

  520. Day unto day utter speech and night unto night reveals knowledge.

  521. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.

  522. Their line has gone out through all the earth and the words to the end of the world.

  523. In them he has set a tabernacle for the sun.

  524. And if you read the rest of the song, it really goes out how he uses even the creation and nature itself to declare of his wonders and his might.

  525. And I love that because even when it comes to terms of what we're talking about today, how we're to prepare for the future even in that God says, you know what?

  526. I'll show you how you can go forward and not just get by.

  527. Because here's the thing, as believers, I don't know if you know this, but God has not called you to be a second class citizen in this world and in life.

  528. For too long, Christianity has meant it's looked like this weird thing where we're cowering as the second class when really the Lord has called us to be a bright shining beacon.

  529. There I say a city light, a light on a hill so that we would be a prized possession that other people would see and be made jealous of and be brought closer to God.

  530. And one of the ways that he does that, and this is what the Lord has encouraged me as of late, he tells me just like this song, I want you to follow what I'm doing in nature and I want you to do it too.

  531. I said, come again, Jesus. He said, I want you to be a tree.

  532. Because if you really look at all of creation, all of creation, despite or instead of mankind, is doing what God told it to do.

  533. You have the birds, they give the most awesome and amazing worship.

  534. You read the scriptures, you read Proverbs, and it speaks about how the lilies of the fields, they're cold, so magnificently.

  535. We see all of creation doing what they're supposed to do.

  536. But then we see mankind who's in this weird form of rebellion.

  537. Because God tells the oceans, go here, and don't take a step past that until I say.

  538. Tell us the birds, worship, and then he tells the trees, be trees.

  539. And you don't even realize it, but they worship and they honor him.

  540. Let's look at Psalms 92. You're going to look at two verses.

  541. Because this is how we survive the future despite what the future may be.

  542. This is the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree. He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

  543. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of their God.

  544. So I feel like the Lord has given not just me this message, but all of us this message, we need to start being like trees.

  545. We need to start showing forth the glory of God.

  546. We need to start, and this is the thing, being rooted and planted.

  547. See, how are you going to survive going forward in this rapid age of technology and growth that sometimes outpacing?

  548. Again, what if you're in one of the jobs that wanted to robots come to take?

  549. I mean, I thank God that.

  550. Listen.

  551. Ain't no robot carrying the anointing like this y'all. Hallelujah for God's mercy and grace.

  552. But if you're not a pastor, what can you do?

  553. You can be like a tree. You can learn to be rooted and grounded.

  554. And here's the thing, don't be a consumer Christian.

  555. Don't just be hopped into and fro based on likes and not actually being a disciple.

  556. This is a season where you have to cling and hold close to the Lord.

  557. Because in order to hear those sweet little nothings where he gives you guidance and direction and shows you how to move about life,

  558. it requires real intimacy and relationship.

  559. So if you want to be one of those that shows forth the glory of God in power, you want to be tree-like.

  560. Then I'm going to need you to get real sensitive and real close to the Lord in this season.

  561. This is not a time to be playing church. It's the time to be his church.

  562. I want you to grab hold of that.

  563. I want you to grab hold of the privilege and the opportunity we have.

  564. Because what language is that? I think maybe Chinese where the word opportunity and calamity are the same.

  565. Chaos. So when chaos is presented, there's also an opportunity presented because there's solution to the cat.

  566. We're going to be the solution-oriented people that the Lord uses in this season. Amen.

  567. We're going to show the glory of God in a powerful way and I'm looking forward to that.

  568. Let that fill you with hope. Let that drive you and remind you that he's with you. Amen.

  569. Hallelujah.

  570. Thank you for that, Pastor Ma.

  571. I really wanted to magnify the Lord with you this morning.

  572. You know that phrase magnify the Lord, the Psalmist, David, other Psalmists in the Psalms.

  573. Use it often. Why is it important to magnify the Lord?

  574. Because Satan is always magnifying your problems.

  575. He's always magnifying your circumstances.

  576. And I tell you one thing, I got to keep a thermometer in my Christianity at all times.

  577. I got to make sure I'm on fire and then I've learned to heed the warning signs when I'm not.

  578. And one thing I've seen over and over again, if I even start approaching the danger area of my heart getting cold or even cooling off a smidge,

  579. is that the enemy tries to get me to lose the awe of the Lord.

  580. And what we're talking about this morning is being alert, being vigilant,

  581. not having a spirit of stupid.

  582. What is a spirit of stupid? The Bible warns about it over and over and over again.

  583. Paul was writing Christians, not lost people, Christians and Ephesians where he says,

  584. Awake, you who sleep.

  585. Because you can be walking, you can be physically awake and asleep.

  586. One of the first things that comes before the spirit of stupid, that spirit of sleepiness where you're just like a dead fish floating downstream,

  587. is you lose your awe of the Lord. You lose your reverence.

  588. And this present world, which is really just a flash in the pan, is so real to you and your problems are so real to you.

  589. And you forget about the grandness and the majesty of God.

  590. That's why I read Genesis 5 to you, just to remind you that even before you were born,

  591. before anything you ever knew, God was.

  592. And he hid the gospel in his name. He hid the gospel in the genealogy.

  593. He knows the end from the beginning and you will be okay.

  594. And Revelation 4, it's a beautiful chapter that really puts things in perspective.

  595. Because sometimes we get nervous and we forget that heaven is not nervous.

  596. And God's not stressed and He's not wondering what will happen.

  597. Say, what's heaven like? Take a look at Revelation 4.

  598. Religious people will tell you the way they describe heaven.

  599. I'm like, I don't want to go there, the way you just described it.

  600. And if you're going to be there, I really don't want to go there.

  601. Is there another wing of heaven, please?

  602. Revelation 4, after these things, I looked and behold, a door standing open in heaven.

  603. What kind of door? We just read through that, a door.

  604. Oh, was it a creaky door? Did it get WD-40?

  605. Was it an oak door, a mahogany door, a metal door?

  606. One deadbolt, two deadbolts. Maybe God likes extra security.

  607. What kind of door? It was a portal.

  608. John is crossing over into that other realm, into heaven.

  609. What Paul called the third heaven, the very abode of God, the Hebrews believed in three heavens.

  610. You know, when Jesus says like, Jesus looked up into the heavens,

  611. or the Lord will open up his heavens and cause rain, that's the first heaven.

  612. That's just a cloud. That's the atmosphere.

  613. There's the second heaven which is the spirit realm.

  614. The third heaven is the abode of God, where you will be with him for all of eternity.

  615. It's where God dwells.

  616. This portal opened up for John. He's part on the island of Patmos,

  617. part he's looking through the portal, a door standing open in heaven.

  618. At the first voice, and the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me,

  619. saying, come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.

  620. By the way, that voice is always saying that, come up here.

  621. Come and see things from my vantage point.

  622. Come and see with 2020 vision from heaven.

  623. Immediately, and all you got to do is hear his voice.

  624. The moment you hear his voice, boom, immediately I was in the spirit.

  625. And behold, the throne said in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

  626. And he who sat there was like a jasper and a sardier stone in appearance.

  627. And there was a rainbow around the throne.

  628. And appearance, like an emerald, around the throne.

  629. Were 24 thrones, and on the thrones I saw 24 elders sitting clothed in white robes,

  630. and they had crowns of gold on their heads.

  631. And from the throne, preceded lightening, thundering, and voices.

  632. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God,

  633. the Holy Ghost. Before the throne, there was a sea of glass like crystal,

  634. a calm sea, not even a ripple, no calamity, no drama, not even a little ripple.

  635. And in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

  636. The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf,

  637. the third living creature had a face of a man, and the fourth living creature was American.

  638. No, like a flying eagle.

  639. The four living creatures each having six wings were full of eyes.

  640. What is he seeing?

  641. We don't know.

  642. Oh, I know.

  643. Is that this is why angels always have to say fear not when they show up.

  644. You look at every single angel.

  645. What are every angels' first words?

  646. Don't be afraid.

  647. Why do they say that?

  648. Because when you really see an angel,

  649. it's not like a six foot guy in a white robe and pantyhose or plastic wings sticking out his back.

  650. They're fierce.

  651. They're different.

  652. And they do not rest day or night saying, holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,

  653. who was and is and is to come.

  654. And whenever the living creatures, notice the tense of how he writes it.

  655. This is whenever they pass tense.

  656. It's whenever it's present tense because whenever you read this, this is happening.

  657. This is what's happening right now.

  658. There is a party in heaven.

  659. He's not worried.

  660. He's not stressed.

  661. Oh, no, the robots are coming.

  662. Oh, no, they're going to do regime change in Iran.

  663. Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne,

  664. who lives forever and ever, the 24 elders fall down before him,

  665. who sits on the throne and worship him, who lives forever and ever,

  666. and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, you are worthy, O Lord,

  667. to receive glory and honor and power for you created all things

  668. and by your will they exist and were created.

  669. Not only by your will where they created, but you know in another place the Bible says

  670. that he holds all things together by the power of his word,

  671. everything is still alive and well and existing because he wills it.

  672. He's great, but he's not so great that he doesn't have every hair on your head numbered.

  673. He calls you out by name.

  674. He knows you and you must receive for yourself that love.

  675. People have a hard time.

  676. I've actually stopped something not here, but when I've done meetings outside,

  677. there's people who worked themselves up into a frenzy.

  678. Go, God, I love you.

  679. I love you.

  680. And the Lord will just show me.

  681. They have a very hard time receiving God's love.

  682. But they go, God, I love you.

  683. I love you and I'll say, if you just stop right now, just say, God, you love me.

  684. And their mouth, they can't even say it.

  685. Can you believe there's Christians?

  686. There's no problem for them to tell God that they love him a thousand times in a row,

  687. but to reverse it and actually appropriate the love of God for themselves,

  688. their mind goes until their mouth ceases up.

  689. And then they'll just start to cry and they'll realize they never ever actually receive God's love for themselves.

  690. There are people who will go to church and they'll love others

  691. and they believe God's love is a real thing, but it's for everyone else but not for them.

  692. Don't be that person.

  693. Be like John.

  694. John, who in the gospels kept referring to himself as the disciple whom Jesus loved.

  695. The other disciples may have said, oh, you're arrogant.

  696. Look at you.

  697. It's forever in the Scriptures now, John.

  698. You wrote.

  699. But you're the disciple whom Jesus loved.

  700. And you can just say, look, I didn't say he loved me more.

  701. I just said he loved me.

  702. I was appropriating the love of God for myself.

  703. Hallelujah.

  704. Be that way appropriate for yourself.

  705. That he knows you, he loves you.

  706. And the days ahead are bright.

  707. I just leave us in a prayer.

  708. Just lift up your hands and say this, Lord Jesus, I believe you saved me for a reason.

  709. And I believe you had me born in this age for a reason.

  710. I trust you for my life and for my family's life.

  711. I believe I will come out on top.

  712. I'm the head and not the tail.

  713. My future is bright.

  714. You're with me always, even to the end of the age.

  715. In Jesus name, amen.

  716. Hallelujah.

  717. Hallelujah.

  718. Hallelujah.

  719. Thank you, Jesus.

  720. Thank you, Lord.

  721. Thank you, Lord.

  722. Hallelujah.

  723. I believe there's going to be such a wealth transference.

  724. I mean, I can practically just like it's percolating within myself.

  725. Such a wealth transference.

  726. You never heard about that.

  727. It's in the scriptures.

  728. Do a little study on it.

  729. There's wicked people who've been stockpiling and storing all for you.

  730. And then God comes and brings a whole lot of shaking and shakes it right out of the hands of the sinner into the hands of the just.

  731. You actually have a picture of it in the Exodus when God set the Hebrews free from Egypt.

  732. And Egypt gave them all their gold, all their silver, all the precious stones, and then caused them to come out.

  733. Egypt then realized what happened.

  734. Let's get our money back.

  735. And then they found themselves under a hundred feet of red sea.

  736. Hallelujah.

  737. My prayer is that the wicked would come to Christ.

  738. But if they don't, that stuff's got to go somewhere.

  739. And I know a whole lot of loving people with kingdom expansion on their mind.

  740. That will do a lot better with it and a lot more with it.

  741. Yeah.

  742. I can't believe you said that.

  743. Well, I said it.

  744. You know, there are some satan worshiping pedophiles with a whole lot of dough, private jets to private islands.

  745. And God's going to shake it loose.

  746. Hallelujah.

  747. Well, let's worship and honor the Lord with our tides and offerings this morning.

  748. The giving information is on the screens to my left and right.

  749. Give with a glad heart, give and faith.

  750. Give knowing that whatever leaves your hand today, it comes back as a harvest.

  751. I believe that my family, we make a living by our giving.

  752. The paycheck is just for fun.

  753. But the real living is by our giving.

  754. And then know that life groups are beginning.

  755. And it's not too late to join one.

  756. So all that information is online.

  757. Also, if you have any questions, you can go by the hospitality table.

  758. But be a part of a life group.

  759. This is something Pastor most said, so important in this hour.

  760. You can't just be a casual consumer Christian.

  761. You know what a consumer Christian is?

  762. It's somebody who like switches products all the time.

  763. Isn't faithful.

  764. You're on one phone plan.

  765. You see another phone plan that's offering you more minutes of that year.

  766. You switch phone plans.

  767. That's some Christian street church and community.

  768. You know, as a defense mechanism, the way I have overcome that is by being really offensive every Sunday.

  769. And then I know I've chased everyone who's going to be chased away away already.

  770. I joke, but there's some truth to that though.

  771. See, who's here on a snowy Sunday morning?

  772. The ineffensible ones.

  773. Hallelujah.

  774. Hallelujah.

  775. Be a part of life groups.

  776. You gotta be in community.

  777. Can't be a lone ranger Christian.

  778. Thank you, Jesus.

  779. Well, ministry team, won't you go to that blue lit area?

  780. If you need prayer, you want prayer by the laying out of hands.

  781. Go on over to that area.

  782. And our ministry team would love to lay hands on you and pray with you.

  783. Go home, make some nice hot cocoa.

  784. Get that taco shaped.

  785. What's that thing called?

  786. In the shape of a taco?

  787. No?

  788. Okay.

  789. Huggies.

  790. Yeah.

  791. Get yourself that, Huggie.

  792. Have a wonderful, wonderful snowy Sunday.

  793. We'll see you next Sunday talking about the sons of Ishaqar.

  794. Be blessed, city light.

  795. Go rejoicing.

  796. This is the City Light Church podcast.
