-
Alright, 1 Timothy chapter 2.
1 Timothy 2 chapter mention
-
Men Hill, let's make it do what it do.
-
It says, I urge then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
-
This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
-
Let's go to Philippians chapter 4, verse 6.
-
He says, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God.
-
The title of my message today is Prayer Power.
-
Prayer power.
-
Do me a favor, slap the person next to you.
-
Don't slap your mother Griff, but slap everybody around you and say prayer power.
-
Prayer power.
-
Mama, slap him, slap him, say prayer power.
-
Prayer power, prayer power.
-
Come on, men heel.
-
I said, slap somebody, men heel, and say prayer power.
-
Father, open up our eyes and our ears that we may receive a word from you that will change and transform our lives forevermore.
-
Hide me behind your cross.
-
Let your voice be louder than mine.
-
In Jesus' name we pray.
-
Everybody Satan.
-
Everybody sat.
-
Amen.
-
Have you ever been at the house chilling, doing your thing, and uh everything was cool, and uh mangies having a good day, the family's in there, we're watching TV, we're we're just laying back and having a great day, and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, the power goes out.
-
Meanwhile, have you ever been sitting there and the power goes out?
-
You're thinking, did I pay the bill?
-
Was I was I late?
-
I knew my the way the thing was set up.
-
Ah, maybe I was late.
-
And then you realize, no, I'm not late.
-
Everybody's power is out.
-
And uh, so because you're a Christian and a positive thinker, you say to yourself, I am not about to let this ruin my day.
-
I'm I am going to stay in the fight and we're gonna have a good day.
-
You say, you know what, we're gonna have a good day with no power, and then you go, you say, I'm just gonna cook something to eat and uh make something real quick, and then you go to the oven, you realize, wait, the oven needs.
-
You say, fine, forget it.
-
We'll just sit back and play some games.
-
Uh, but you realize that the lights are going out uh because it's dark and you can't turn on the light because the light needs.
-
Uh you say, okay, let's just get on our phones and let's just do the phone thing, but you realize that you need Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi requires.
-
Uh, you say, uh, it's getting really hot, and uh, and so let's let the AC, maybe the AC will keep us cool, and so you go to turn on AC, but the AC needs and then you start to think to yourself, this house is pretty trash without power.
-
Well, man, he'll the same is true of you.
-
I'm not saying you're trash.
-
I mean, I'm not trying to say that, not trying to distract you.
-
But the truth of the matter is you don't function well without power.
-
You need power.
-
You cute, but you don't function right with no power.
-
Six pack, but you don't function right with no power.
-
Gotta line up, Beijing, but you do not function right without power.
-
Head done, nails done, uh-uh, everything did, but without power.
-
You are not functioning right, and I have found no quicker source to power than prayer.
-
I'm talking about prayer will connect you to power like nobody's business.
-
And my desire for you is that you would get something called prayer power.
-
Somebody say prayer power.
-
There are some of you who are irritable right now because you don't have prayer power.
-
There are some of you mad at your kids and at your spouse because you don't have prayer power.
-
Prayer taps you into supernatural power.
-
Prayer is like putting a battery in your back, prayer's like jumping off of a plane, puts adrenaline through your blood.
-
Prayers like drinking a red bull, it'll give you wings.
-
You need prayer like you need air.
-
Today I'm urging you, don't you leave here without some prayer power.
-
Is there anybody in the room that knows anything about prayer power?
-
Do I got any season saints?
-
Mama, do you know anything about prayer power?
-
If these young people don't say amen, I'm gonna look at you because you got the amen, because you know about that prayer power.
-
There are some things in your life that can only be fixed in prayer.
-
Therapy alone won't do it, friends alone won't do it, money alone can't fix it, connections, hookups can't fix it, awards can't fix it.
-
There are some things men heal.
-
You gotta take it to the Lord in prayer.
-
There's some stuff that jumps off in your life that only the secret place, that only getting in the cave and getting into prayer can fix it and turn it around.
-
The saints used to say no prayer, no power, little prayer, much prayer, and if you want to experience power, then you got to get into prayer.
-
This is why I read first Timothy chapter 2, verse 1.
-
First Timothy chapter 2, verse 1.
-
Y'all throw it on the screen, it says, I urge then, first of all.
-
Not second, not third, not fourth.
-
He said, first of all, this is the first first of all in the Bible.
-
First of all, that's where y'all got it from.
-
First of all, he says, I urge then.
-
That's why I'm yelling, you wondering why you screaming so much, Pastor.
-
Because this is a I urge then message.
-
Because right now I believe we are in an urgency, emergency, and and you gotta have an urgency for prayer.
-
Do you understand what I'm saying?
-
If there was ever a time that you needed to know how to pray, now is that time.
-
And I ain't trying to scare you, I'm not trying to do the fear thing, I'm not trying to overwhelm you or over-exaggerate or over-embellish.
-
But if you have eyes, this is like the days of Noah, where they were eating, drinking, and hanging out, and then it rained.
-
And when it rained, the people who were not on the ark didn't make it.
-
And I'm telling you that these are like the days of Noah.
-
We're chilling, we're hanging, we're having a good time, but I'm telling you, this is not the hour to not know how to pray.
-
This is the time that you need to know how to pray, you need your prayer language, and you need something called prayer power.
-
Tell somebody it's an urge.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
-
Right now, you need to know how to pray.
-
Some of you are prioritizing your health.
-
You're in the gym every day.
-
We love that for you.
-
Some of you are prioritizing your mental, you're making sure your mind is right.
-
Great job.
-
You're prioritizing your money, you're saving, you're paying off debt, you're going back to school.
-
I love that.
-
But out of all your prioritization, don't you forget to prioritize prayer.
-
Don't you forget to make prayer keep the main thing, the main thing.
-
And you guys got a lot of uh aside uh orders, but the main course is getting missed because you need you need to pray.
-
Hear me.
-
I'm yelling, I'm gonna yell all message because you need to pray.
-
And I'm not saying it because I'm some type of prayer word, I've had to develop the discipline like everybody else, but you need to pray.
-
Some of you, some of you, if I told you right now to to call your mother without seeing her name in your phone, pick up somebody else's phone, call your mother.
-
Some of you don't even know your mother's phone number.
-
Some of you got a best friend.
-
If I ask you right now, tell me your best friend number, you'd be like Jesse.
-
No, no, no.
-
The number uh 69178563.
-
Some of you don't know your brother's number, you put brother.
-
And if you were in an emergency and we had to ask you, call your brother, you'd be like 6178.
-
And you are you are sad somebody if you know your spouse's number.
-
If you don't know your spouse's number, but if you just put babe and you don't know what babe's number is, you are that's a that's Christ.
-
And there are some of you in this room, if you get in a state of emergency and you have to pray, you'd be bumbling and mumbling, and uh, I don't, I don't know, because you have never learned how to pray, but you need to know how to say, our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, that kingdom come, that will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
-
Give us this day our daily bread.
-
Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
-
Leave us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
-
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, both now and forever.
-
What does that mean?
-
I don't know, but I know how to say it when I need to say it.
-
I know how to my mama taught me some type of prayer.
-
And uh, and uh, and uh hear me, I'm not one of those dudes that pick on men.
-
Please, I want men in this church and I try to empower men in this church, but I couldn't ignore something that I saw.
-
I'm not a dude that beats up men in church.
-
I don't do that, I don't do that, brother.
-
I want you here.
-
Uh, but I had to, I had to, when I saw the stats, every statistic, Mint Hill, that I saw on prayer, it was clear that every stat said that women outpray men by a long mile.
-
And I had to stand up here and look every man in the face and say, We gotta pray.
-
And you cannot let your woman outpray you.
-
Your wife should not be outpraying you, your mama should not be outpraying you, your girlfriend should not be outpraying you, your daughter should not be outpraying you.
-
Why are the women praying more than us?
-
Now hear me, they don't pray like us, and we don't pray like them.
-
You might not be as expressive, you might not be as emotive, but you are the man in your house, and you need to know how to wake up in the morning and get in your garage and say, Lord, cover my family and cover my house.
-
I'm just keeping it 100.
-
I'm old school.
-
I would be embarrassed if I brought my wife with me to the gym and we started lifting bench pressing, and she was throwing plates up there and just pressing weight, and I'm sitting there like that's just a lot for me.
-
I'm sorry, I'm old school.
-
I'd be embarrassed.
-
My wife should not be outlifting me in the natural, and she should not be outlifting me in the spirit.
-
Some of you, your wives, are throwing plates in the spirit and lifting stuff while you're sitting somewhere with a remote control.
-
No, you better throw some plates up there yourself and say, I know how to cover my kids, I know how to cover my family, I know how to cover this house.
-
Can I get a man to say hallelujah?
-
We're gonna be people who pray.
-
Come on, many.
-
I'm talking to you.
-
We are going to pray, pray, pray, pray.
-
He says, I urge you now.
-
Watch this, watch this, watch this.
-
Everybody lean in here.
-
If you don't catch nothing else, catch this.
-
He said, I urge that, watch this, petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people.
-
Those are four different things.
-
Okay?
-
There's some of you been in church your whole life and you haven't noticed this.
-
There's some of you been reading the Bible forever.
-
I'm not picking on you.
-
I'm just saying that sometimes you just brush by stuff, and I'm gonna pause here for a second because I realize I don't know if everybody knows that these are four different things.
-
So, so so first it says petition.
-
What is petition?
-
You can throw those definitions up.
-
Petition is a specific need, request, or plea.
-
So all of you who keep telling me uh that you shouldn't be asking God for stuff in prayer, and if God wanted you to have it, he just give it to you.
-
And nope, nope, nope, there's petition in prayer.
-
It's in the Bible.
-
Request.
-
I'm asking.
-
And then there's just something called prayer.
-
What is prayer?
-
Prayer is conversation with God, it is communication and devotion.
-
It is a two-way, it's where I just go to get aligned with his will.
-
It's where I just go for him to impart into my heart his desire for my life.
-
Okay?
-
So, so so prayer meeth is God is just, he's speaking to me, I'm speaking to him.
-
It's more intimate.
-
Okay?
-
But then there's something called intercession.
-
Intercession is carrying someone else's need into the presence of God.
-
Some of you, this is a call on your life.
-
Hear me?
-
You can have a gift of intercession, but everyone has the responsibility to intercede for somebody.
-
Okay?
-
A gift means it's a grace.
-
It comes, it comes easy to you, comes natural to you.
-
For the rest of us, it's a discipline that has to be developed.
-
But but intercession is a part of prayer.
-
But then there's something called thanksgiving.
-
What is thanksgiving?
-
It's just gratitude, appreciation, and recognition of God's goodness.
-
Okay?
-
Y'all catch what I'm saying?
-
Patricia is God, I need you to do something.
-
Petition is God, I need you to do something.
-
God, I just need you.
-
God, they need you.
-
Thanksgiving, it is God.
-
Thank you for what you've already done.
-
Petition is God, I need you to do something.
-
Prayer is God, I just need you.
-
Intercession is God, they need you.
-
Thanksgiving is thank you for what you've already done.
-
A mature prayer life has every single one of these.
-
It's multidimensional.
-
Some of you in this room, you need to go petition God.
-
You you've been praying these safe prayers.
-
You have been, you've been, for fear of God saying no, you have stopped praying about something.
-
Go in there and ask.
-
Get in there and request.
-
Come on now.
-
Come on now.
-
Some of you, you do sometimes people do illegal stuff, not knowing if they had just gone to God, he would open that door.
-
So you went and did something illegal to compromise your values because you thought you had to open the door.
-
But you need to go in there and petition God for the thing you need before you do something stupid and crazy that's gonna get your butt locked up.
-
Somebody need that.
-
Put your name and say, I don't know which one of us, but one of us must have needed that.
-
Some of you need to go back to prayer.
-
You petitioned, but you don't have God's heart.
-
You just need some intimacy with God, you need time with the Lord.
-
You need to, you need to get a sense of his presence in your life, you need to get in alignment with his will, you need to hear his voice, you need to stop talking so much and get more quiet so you can actually hear what he's trying to say.
-
And then there's some of you in this room in here uh that you need to start interceding for someone else.
-
That you need to, I prayed for me, but while I'm praying for me, I also gotta make sure that I'm praying for other people that I'm interceding.
-
And then there are some of us in this room, God says, I'm not doing another thing till you say thank you for the last thing I did in your life.
-
In fact, there are some of you in this room right now, you know that you owe God a thank you.
-
And God said, Before you make another request, can you just say thank you for the last thing I did?
-
I'm gonna do you a favor.
-
If you're in this room and you know there's a thank you that you owe God, I'm giving you 10 seconds.
-
Say, neighbor, mind your business for one second.
-
I just owe God a thank you.
-
Can I get somebody in Mint Hill to clap your hands and say, God, I'm sorry.
-
I was supposed to say thank you a year ago and I did it.
-
God, I'm sorry.
-
I got that job and I never stopped to say thank you.
-
God, I'm sorry.
-
I got out of that car accident.
-
I never stopped to say thank you.
-
God, I am so sorry.
-
I got into that school and I just started with God to get there somebody in the room who owes God a thank you that can open up your mouth and say, God, thank you so much for what you've done.
-
Come on, you owe him a thank you.
-
Okay, so here's what happens.
-
What happens when I pray?
-
If I've got prayer power, then mini hill, what happens when I pray?
-
Many things happen when you pray.
-
Let's just talk about three.
-
Three things happen when you pray.
-
Number one, mountains move when you pray.
-
I should have got an amen.
-
Minihill, Justin, did somebody say amen?
-
No, I'm not gonna let y'all be quiet on me today.
-
No.
-
I said mountains move.
-
Okay, the people who didn't say amen, you don't pray, so you can't feel this.
-
But the people who pray, I said, mountains move when you pray.
-
Come here, high five me.
-
I'm gonna tell them why they why the high five later on.
-
Uh uh, uh, it's it's D-Nasia.
-
It's Deanna.
-
I'm gonna with Deanna, we're gonna high five again at the end.
-
Okay.
-
Okay.
-
Um say mountains move when I pray.
-
Come on, say mountains move when I pray.
-
Where do I get that from?
-
Pastor, don't be up here just giving people law of attraction.
-
Don't be up here just giving them motivational stuff, positive thinking.
-
I'm not giving you that.
-
Before law of attraction, there was law of the Bible.
-
Okay, we didn't steal from them, they stole from us.
-
Mark chapter 11, verse 23 through 24 says, Truly, I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, go throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in their heart, but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
-
Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you've received it, believe that you've received it, believe that you've received it, believe that you've received it, believe that you've received it.
-
I feel God believe that you've received it, and it will be.
-
No, that's not what he said.
-
He said, You need to be praying mountain moving prayers.
-
What is a mountain?
-
A mountain is an immovable object that cannot be moved by natural means.
-
It is when I've got a promise on this side, I've got a purpose on this side, I've got vision on this side, and on my way to God's promise, on my way to God's will, somebody put an immovable mountain in my way.
-
And there are some of you who have stopped going towards God's promise because you saw a mountain and shrunk back.
-
But you are not to shrink back when you see a mountain.
-
You're supposed to go directly to that mountain and tell that mountain to get out of your way.
-
That addiction is a mountain.
-
That soul tie that you got with that, that's a mountain.
-
That that that mindset that is toxic that you've been carrying for years, that is a mountain.
-
That that that that there's a there's somebody holding up a deal for your contract, and you need that contract to push forward.
-
That person is a mountain, and we're gonna get that mountain moved so that that deal can go through, so that you can get what God needs for you to get.
-
No, that thing is there's a decision maker that is a mountain, and you gotta start.
-
Fear is a mountain, shame is a mountain, condemnation is a mountain, and you've gotta get something on the inside that says, Ah, okay.
-
Here's the problem: you're good at talking about mountains, but he didn't tell you to talk about a mountain in here.
-
He said, Talk to a mountain.
-
You know how to describe your mountain so well, you just know how to describe it.
-
Have you seen that?
-
You've written books about your mountain.
-
You you go you listen to podcasts about your mountain.
-
You you got all kinds of stuff written about your mountain, but God didn't ask you to talk about the mountain.
-
He says, When are you gonna get somewhere and talk directly to the mountain?
-
Stop talking about the addiction and get in your prayer closet and say, Addiction, whatever I bind on the earth has got to be bound in the heavens, whatever I loose on the earth has got to be loose in the heavens, whom the sun sets free, is free indeed.
-
And so I declare that the spirit of the Lord is in me, and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom from my soul.
-
You gotta look at the depression and say, Wait a minute, depression.
-
The joy of the Lord is my strength.
-
If God be for me, who can be against me?
-
That is there anybody in the room?
-
I will lift my eyes to the hills where my help comes from.
-
My help comes from the Lord.
-
There's a mountain you gotta talk to, there's a mountain you gotta yell at.
-
There's a mountain, see, see, see, see, see, see, when you you loud talking about it, but quiet talking to it.
-
And I need you to get loud talking to that mountain that's in your way.
-
Pastor, how are you so bold when you're talking like this?
-
Because it's what the Bible says.
-
First John chapter 5, verse 14, 15.
-
This is the confidence we have in approaching God.
-
That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
-
That sickness is not according to his will.
-
You dying at 40 is not according to his will.
-
You live in broken, disgusted your whole life, it's not according to his will.
-
You walking.
-
Around with your head down every day is not according to his will.
-
If I pray something according to his will, then he hears us.
-
And if we know that he hears us, then whatever we ask, we know that we have what we ask.
-
Let me show you what this looks like.
-
Let me show you what this looks like.
-
Okay, okay.
-
Josh, where did Josh go?
-
Josh, get back here.
-
Josh, get back over here.
-
Josh, get over here.
-
Josh, because I can't just talk this.
-
I gotta preach this.
-
But just say that.
-
Don't move.
-
Don't move for a second.
-
Don't move talk much.
-
Don't move top much.
-
I can't just say this.
-
Maybe I can't just say this.
-
I'm sorry.
-
Some stuff has to be preached.
-
Let me explain this.
-
I said this story before, but everybody's repeated.
-
When I was young, I had an older brother.
-
And my older brother's name was Will.
-
And uh he used to be outside playing.
-
One day my mother told me to go outside and tell Will it's time to come into the house.
-
And so I go outside, manhill, and I said, Will, it's time to come into the house.
-
This is my older brother.
-
He looked at me and said, Man, get out of here.
-
Ain't nobody listening to you.
-
Don't nobody care what you gotta say.
-
Man, get up out of here.
-
So I go back into the house.
-
And uh I said, Ma, he didn't hear he's not coming out.
-
She said, get back out there, and you go get him into the house right now.
-
So I go back outside.
-
I said, get in the house right now, Will.
-
Get in the house, get in the house.
-
I'm tired of this, get in the house.
-
My brother kicked me in front of all his friends.
-
He said, Man, get out of here, man.
-
He kicked me.
-
His friends was laughing, he was laughing.
-
I started crying again.
-
And I walked back into the house and mommy kicked me.
-
When I went outside, he kicked me.
-
She said, Go back outside.
-
And you tell him, I said, if he don't get his butt in his house right now, I'm coming outside.
-
Oh, I had a whole different swag at the moment.
-
I literally go outside.
-
I said, Oh, well, Ma said, get your butt in the house right now, for she came outside and snatch you up and knock you out.
-
My brother started grabbing all this stuff.
-
He grabbed everything, he ran into the house.
-
He said, Ma, what you need?
-
Now, how is it that he didn't respond the first two times?
-
What made him respond the last time?
-
Well, the first two times I went in my name, but the last time I went in a higher authority's name.
-
And when I came to preach to somebody, is you been talking to mountains, and that mountain said, I don't care about what you got to say, but men heal this time when you go back to that mountain.
-
Say in the name of Jesus, sickness get out of my body, in the name of Jesus, healing come to my life in the name of Jesus, stronghold be broken.
-
Get out of my way.
-
Do I got anybody in the room?
-
See, that mountain didn't respond to you, but that mountain's got to respond to Jesus.
-
That's why you gotta take the authority of the word because when you throw this word at a mountain, the mountain legally knows it cannot stay there.
-
That's why when Jesus was on a boat and the disciples were scared because the storm was coming through.
-
The Bible says Jesus got up out of his sleep.
-
He said, Peace be still, and the rain calmed down and the sea stopped rowing and the wind stopped blowing because the wind knows the sound of his voice, the rain knows the sound of his voice, because the ocean knows the sound of his voice.
-
What if I told you that stronghold knows the sound of his voice?
-
Depression don't care about you, but in the name of Jesus, depression rise up.
-
Suicide don't care about you, but I speak to the spirit of suicide.
-
You have no more legal right to my life, and in the name of Jesus, I cast every mountain out of my life.
-
Suicide, get out, low self-esteem, get out, poverty, get out.
-
Is there anybody that got a mountain that needs to be moved?
-
I dare you to get up and say in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, that's why the Bible says every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess, because God gave him the name that's above every name.
-
That's why Jesus said when you pray, he says, use my name, because when you use my name, every mountain's got to move, every mountain's got to move, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, Mountain Moon, Mountain Moon, Mountain Moon, at the name of Jesus, Mountain Moop, at the name of Jesus, Mountain Moon, at the name of Jesus, Mountain Moop, at the name of Jesus, Mountain Moop, Mountain Moop, Mountain Moop, Mount Wind are you gonna yell at your mouth?
-
When are you gonna start talking to your mountain?
-
When are you gonna look the mountain in the face and tell it to move?
-
Sit down, sit down, mini hill, sit down.
-
Here's the second thing that happens when you pray.
-
Mountains move when you pray.
-
But the second thing that happens is chains break when you pray.
-
Come on, say change break when I pray.
-
Minnie Hill, are you hearing me?
-
Chains break when I pray.
-
Pastor, where do you get that from?
-
Acts chapter 16.
Acts 16 chapter mention
-
Verse 25 to 26.
-
It says about midnight.
-
Paul in silence.
-
I feel like preaching today.
-
It says about midnight.
-
Go to that scripture up.
-
Paul and silence were praying and singing hymns to God.
-
And the prisoners were doing what?
-
The prisoners were doing what?
-
The prisoners were doing what?
-
Suddenly.
-
There was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaking.
-
And at once, wait a minute.
-
Whose prison door flew open?
-
Okay.
-
And then they said, Whose chains came loose?
-
But who was praying?
-
But whose doors flew open?
-
Whose chains came off?
-
But who was praying?
-
How is it that I wasn't even praying?
-
And my door flew open.
-
I didn't go to 21 days of prayer.
-
I didn't wake up at 6 a.m.
-
I didn't do none of the stuff that y'all did over at that church.
-
But something happens when you pray.
-
You sitting there praying thinking that God is just gonna open your door.
-
But you got a 16-year-old son that's in prison.
-
I'm not talking about a physical prison, I'm talking about a spiritual prison.
-
And when you are in your prayer closet, your 16-year-old son is coming out of his prison.
-
Why?
-
Because there's something happens, chains break when you pray.
-
When you pray, everybody in your role start getting free.
-
When you pray, everybody in your family, this is why hear me.
-
So everybody gotta be loose.
-
Everybody gets divorced, everybody gets cancer, and you don't do nothing.
-
You you're not gonna ever get somewhere and pray.
-
Everybody's trained loose.
-
Look at your neighbor, say the worst thing that could ever happen to you is me finding out what's going on with you.
-
Because if I ever find out what's going on with you, you sit next to somebody that can pray a chain off your life.
-
You sit next to somebody that if I say your name to God.
-
That's what we do every morning in prayer.
-
I don't know if you know this, but we told you to write the names of your family members down on these cards.
-
And every single morning I say James Sr.
-
I say Will Marcus Kunia.
-
I say I take a card and I say, Look, we're gonna pray for Chris and Micah and Stephen and Jasmine.
-
We're gonna pray.
-
I start saying every name.
-
We're gonna pray uh for Damon.
-
We're gonna pray for Charles.
-
What am I doing?
-
I'm intercede.
-
Justin, is anybody clapping?
-
Is anybody saying amen?
-
Nope.
-
Okay, let me explain.
-
Courtney, can you stand up for a second?
-
Courtney, can you just stand up?
-
You can't even see it.
-
Courtney, can you wave at everybody?
-
Courtney, maybe you can't see this.
-
Wave at everybody.
-
That's Courtney is my EA.
-
That's my executive assistant.
-
Okay?
-
Can you wave at everybody again?
-
You see how you see how short?
-
No, no, I'm saying it for a reason.
-
I'm saying it for a reason.
-
I'm saying it for a reason.
-
So so she's my uh uh executive assistant.
-
Uh I I flew into Dallas a couple of days ago.
-
I flew into Dallas, and if you know anything about travel, I travel a lot.
-
If you know anything about travel, I'm not trying to be grand, I'm not trying to be bougie.
-
Uh, but when I get to a hotel, I really just want to check in because travel takes a lot out of you, it drains you, and you usually have to speak later on in the day.
-
So I really just want to get in my room as fast as I can and um pray, spend some time with the Lord, and uh order some room service or something, and just and just and just have a good time.
-
Okay, and so I get there, and when I get there to my room, uh um to the to the desk, I say, yeah, my name's Brian Bullock, and there's room for me.
-
And the woman, she was like, Yeah, I don't see no room for you.
-
Uh I'm sorry, but we can't we can't check you in.
-
I said, No, I'm sure there's a room for me, just just check it.
-
And uh she's like, No, I I've checked, and there's not a room for you.
-
She kind of had an attitude, and uh I'm tired.
-
I'm like, man, I'm I promise you, I look, I know what I'm talking about.
-
Look, again, there's there's a room for me.
-
She was like, just well, just sit over there and uh, you know, and I'm sorry, we're gonna have to we're gonna have to see maybe later when it's less busy, we'll see what happens.
-
And she gave me a whole attitude.
-
It was it was it was disrespectful.
-
So I sit down in my chair, in a chair, and I I I text Courtney.
-
I said, Hey Court, just letting you know, uh uh they're not letting me check in the room, they say they don't have room for me.
-
Her response was, excuse me, uh, exclamation point, question mark.
-
She said, I'll take care of this in one second.
-
And so I'm just sitting there, mind my business.
-
I'm looking up in the sky and uh just just just sitting there nice and calm.
-
And within a few minutes, uh the same lady who had the attitude, she said, Mr.
-
Bullock, I'm so glad that you're here.
-
We did not know uh there is a room for you, and uh we would lead you this way.
-
In fact, we're gonna upgrade your room and we're gonna make sure that everything's taken care of.
-
Someone said, Well, look, I want to sign in.
-
And I just went over to the desk like nothing happened.
-
Now, what happened?
-
Because I didn't say nothing, I didn't do nothing, but I had somebody who interceded.
-
I'm declaring right now, you're gonna be sitting there minding your business, and a blessing is gonna smack you in the head.
-
And you're gonna say, Where this blessing came from?
-
Because somebody interceded for you.
-
Somebody went into the secret place and said, God bless them, God save them, God deliver them, God watch over them.
-
Do I got anybody in the room that can say somebody prayed for me?
-
Had me on their mind, took the time to pray for me, and I'm so glad they prayed, I'm so glad they pray, I'm so glad they prayed for me.
-
Do I got an intercessor in the room that can open up your mouth and say once I start to pray, every chain has got to be broken.
-
If I pray, my children are getting stained.
-
If I pray, my community's getting right.
-
If I pray, the city gon' get shook up.
-
If I pray, I'ma stir up an earthquake.
-
Why don't you go ahead and stir up an earthquake?
-
Stir up an earthquake, stirrup an earthquake, stirrup an earthquake, stirrup an earthquake, stirrup an earthquake.
-
I dare you to get around your son and start to pray.
-
I look down your room and said, I'm about to pray.
-
Because when I pray, mountains move.
-
When I pray, chains break.
-
Somebody say here's my last point.
-
Miracles happen when we pray.
-
Miracles happen when we pray.
-
I am praying.
-
James chapter 5, verse 17, 18.
-
It says, Elijah was a human being, even as we are.
-
He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.
-
Again, he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
-
Why James need to tell?
-
Why did James feel the need to tell me he's just a human being?
-
Because James is trying to show you you don't need to be a bishop to do this, you don't need to be an apostle to do this, you don't need to be a prophet to do this.
-
All you need is some faith.
-
Because ordinary people can pray and get extraordinary results.
-
Ordinary people can pray and get extraordinary results.
-
I I'm believing for miracles, and I I want you to see miracles.
-
And here's what I did, Mint Hill.
-
I was getting ready to go to this Bible and open up this Bible and tell you about miracles in the Bible.
-
But Holy Spirit stopped me and said, Stop thinking I just did miracles in the Bible.
-
So we went to our dream team, and I said, Dream team, any person on dream team who's experienced a miracle in the last six months, tell us the miracle because I want to talk about it, I want to see it.
-
And when I tell you the miracle started pouring in miracle after miracle after miracle.
-
I wrote some of them down.
-
I wrote some of them down.
-
This is Ollie, Ollie, Ollie, Ollie said, These are people in our church.
-
I'm not making these names up.
-
These are real people in our church that are sitting right here in Mini Hill or North Mac.
-
Ollie said, My sister's house was caught in the crossfire of a shooting.
-
47 bullets grazed her house and her car while she and her daughters were sleeping.
-
47 bullets, but not one of them was touched.
-
47 bullets, but nobody in the house was touched.
-
47 bullets, but nobody in the house was touched.
-
She said that alone is a miracle.
-
But then the very next weekend, they came to Union, got saved, got baptized, and they come to church every single week.
-
That could have been a news story.
-
Instead, it was a miracle.
-
Jackie, Jackie said on Friday, Thursday, they found out that a 12-year-old girl was missing.
-
Friday, they go to uh pray 21.
-
They go to Justin, and Justin prays with them as they were already praying, and then Justin agrees with them in prayer on Friday at the hub.
-
And and and so they're praying that they will find this 12-year-old girl.
-
Well, as of yesterday, not only was she found, no harm was done to her, she is back home.
-
That could have been a news story, but it's a miracle.
-
Okay, okay, there's Courtney.
-
Courtney, Courtney said, for the last two years, for the last two years, I've been praying for a friend's fertility journey.
-
And every year nothing happened.
-
She went to grab a card, this pray 21, and before she could write on the card, she got a message from the couple that they are pregnant and the baby is healthy.
-
Tell somebody that's a miracle.
-
Ebony, who's RCP's wife, Ebony said for the last year she's applied to over 50 jobs and got nothing.
-
At Catalyst, she was up here jumping and screaming when we were saying something's about to shift.
-
While she's jumping and screaming, something's about to shift, she gets a notification on her phone that she's being interviewed, called in for an interview for a job.
-
She went on six interviews after that day.
-
On August 6th, not only did she get the job, she got it for more money than she expected to get for the job.
-
Because there's a miracle in the house.
-
Let me tell you about Lisa.
-
During January's break 21, she was believing God for resources to move into a new apartment and get a new job with a better pay and a consistent schedule so she can serve in the Dream Team.
-
Well, she got a new apartment, two months rent-free.
-
She got the new job in June.
-
It pays more than her last job, and she currently serves on our worship team right now.
-
Let me tell you about Brent.
-
Brent said that he's been praying for his son's salvation and spiritual growth.
-
Well, not only is his son saved, but at this next September baptism, his son has already said, I'm getting water baptized in this September.
-
Let's make it do what it do, Dad.
-
Let me tell you about Tina.
-
Uh, during our financial freedom series, we talked about tithing.
-
She said at the time there was no way I thought I could give God 10%.
-
She said that since she started tithing, a full 10%, she bought a new house.
-
Her husband's coming back to church.
-
Her boss recently gave her a$5,000 increase, and she has found her family here at Union Church.
-
Remember that high five?
-
Come here.
-
Remember that high five?
-
Deanna.
-
Deanna recently went to the hospital.
-
She found out her A1, your A1C is 5.4%.
-
She is no longer pre-diabetic.
-
God has healed her body.
-
So here's what I'm asking.
-
What you waited for?
-
Get your prayer power.
-
I can keep going, but you can respond and say amen.
-
Because I want to see a miracle.
-
Miracle still happen when I pray.
-
I want to see a miracle.
-
I wanna see the impossible.
-
I believe mountains can move.
-
I believe chains can break.
-
I believe miracles still happen.
-
I will not pray scared.
-
I will not pray defeated.
-
I will pray according to your word.
-
I will pray according to your will.
-
I will pray in Jesus' name.
-
And I will trust you with the outcome.
-
I have prayer power.
-
I have prayer power.
-
So here's my question.
-
What mountain did you walk in here with that you've been scared to talk to?
-
What chain have you been wearing that needs to be broken?
-
What miracle did you put down that you need to pick back up?
-
What mountain have you stopped talking to?
-
What chain have you been wearing like an accessory instead of breaking it off your life?
-
What miracle did you put down?
-
Pick it back up.
-
Pick it back up.
-
I know it's painful to believe and not see.
-
Pick it back up.
-
I know it's painful to carry something, but ask one of these women who've been walking around with a baby for nine months.
-
It's painful.
-
But you will never give birth to the vision God put on the inside of you if you don't walk through the season of pain first.
-
Everyhead, by every eye closed.
-
If you're in this room, I'm in Hill, I need everybody pay attention to me.
-
If you're in this room, we're gonna leave in three minutes.
-
Just give me three minutes, I'll get you out of here.
-
If you're in this room and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and today you want to make a commitment to make him the ruler of your life.
-
Because you know that the mountain that's in your way is separation between you and God.
-
If that's you, I need you to do me a favor.
-
I need you to lift your hands and say, Today I want to be saved.
-
Come on, lift your hands.
-
You can lift it and throw it back down.
-
But can you lift it high and throw it back down?
-
I see you, sister.
-
I see you, sister.
-
I see you, sister.
-
Can you do me a favor?
-
She stood up.
-
Can you give her a connection card from me?
-
I see you, sister.
-
I see you, sister.
-
Come here, come here, come here, come here, come here.
-
Come here, come here.
-
If you need to be saved today, I need you to do me a favor.
-
Y'all let her out.
-
Let her out.
-
Let her out.
-
Let her out.
-
If you want to be saved today, need you to do me a favor.
-
I need to throw your hand up, I need you to put it back down.
-
Come on, throw your hand up, put it back down.
-
Today, Min Heel, Justin, I need you to look.
-
Minhill, nobody looking around.
-
If you want to give your life to the Lord today, I need you to throw your hand up and put it back down.
-
Come grab my hand.
-
Come grab my hand.
-
Come grab my hand.
-
Come grab my hand.
-
Come grab my hand.
-
Yesterday is gone, and today is a new day.
-
It's a new beginning.
-
It is a new beginning.
-
And whatever pain you walked in here with, God is about to heal that pain.
-
Come on, I need everybody.
-
Do me a favor.
-
I need you to repeat after me.
-
You're gonna repeat after me.
-
What's your name?
-
Demaris.
-
What is it?
-
Demaris.
-
Demaris.
-
Come on, you're gonna pray with me.
-
I'm gonna tell you what to pray.
-
We're gonna pray it together.
-
Come on, everybody, repeat after me.
-
Say, Father, thank you for loving me.
-
Thank you for sending your son.
-
The Lord Jesus Christ to die for me.
-
Today, I repent.
-
Come on, say what me.
-
Today, I repent.
-
I turn from wrongdoing.
-
And I give my life to you.
-
I believe.
-
Jesus is Lord.
-
And today I make you the ruler of my life.
-
Yesterday is gone.
-
And today's a new day.
-
Today I'm free.
-
Today I'm made new.
-
Thank you, Jesus, for saving my life.
-
In Jesus' name we pray.
-
Come on, everybody, shout Amen.
