  1. Who is this? A Wisdom Bible church?

  2. The Church of a distant Christian narration.

  3. We thank God for His great grace that has brought us to this

  4. dining table again. I pray that the Lord will

  5. satisfy our anger. It will satisfy our tests in the

  6. name of Jesus. Now, how to generate passion was

  7. the last subtopic we studied and we're still going to continue in

  8. the same light. However, it's important that we

  9. refresh our mind or readdress our mind to the key issues that

  10. were highlighted when we had the last session.

  11. So in that last session, we listed discovery of purpose as

  12. the first step to generate passion.

  13. Discovery of purpose and I do the correlation between vision

  14. and purpose that they could be used interchangeably.

  15. When your purpose is tangible, then it becomes your vision.

  16. Press the name of the book and then we pick on the patriarch

  17. Father Jacob for a key study. We study the transition of Jacob

  18. from a man who was responding to provocation to a man who

  19. eventually pursued purpose in life.

  20. We examine his transition from a man who was an apron around the

  21. waist of his mother but who eventually discovered purpose

  22. and by that he was able to gain the needed strength to stand on

  23. his own feet when he was in the family house together with his

  24. brother. You will discover that

  25. everything about him and whatever he does, whenever his

  26. own ideas, they were always the ideas suggested to him by the

  27. mother. And because he has not attained

  28. the maturity level to be able to separates the SAT from the

  29. wheat, even the lung cancer of the murder, he followed it.

  30. And so when he left home, he left without a personal road

  31. map, he left without a personal map, he left home unprepared.

  32. But thank God that along the line when he slept over in the

  33. wilderness, he had an encounter, and that encounter change the

  34. course of his destiny. I pray that as you listen to me

  35. this morning, you will encounter God in a special way.

  36. You will encounter God in a manner that will provoke the

  37. pursuit of purpose, purpose that has eternal value, purpose that

  38. bless destinies in the name of Jesus.

  39. So we therefore navigated between Genesis chapter 27 and

    Genesis 27 chapter mention

  40. Genesis chapter 29. From there, we study His

    Genesis 29 chapter mention

  41. progress from where He left home by the instruction of his mother

  42. in Genesis 27 to relocate to his uncle's place to escape the

  43. anger of his brother that is jilted.

  44. Then in chapter 28, we analyzed his encounter in the wilderness.

  45. We are he caught the personal vision of angels descending and

  46. ascending on a ladder. That is in chapter 28.

  47. Then we come to chapter 29. We are after the encounter in

  48. the wilderness. It demonstrated on common

  49. passion. OK, In chapter 29 we found a

  50. place where he met some shepherds when it was still ID.

  51. No, with their cattle. No stay I do around the world

  52. side waiting for men who will roll the stone before they could

  53. water their animal. But when it got there, it

  54. challenged them to their face that this is not the best of

  55. time to rest. It is ideal.

  56. The animals should be on the feet, still being fed.

  57. So by reason of the vision he called OK, he can no longer

  58. meddle with the company of Lizzie at art, Lizzie at an

  59. fellow. So by himself a loom is

  60. sequentially rolled the stone to assist a Rachel the water

  61. animal. All of these were what we

  62. employed to drive the teaching that when you have vision, when

  63. you have purpose, that vision will help you to generate

  64. passion. OK until he had that encounter.

  65. He has to be pushed before you can do anything.

  66. Press the name of the law now by reason of vision is now self

  67. motivated to undertake destiny in the right direction.

  68. I pray in the name of Jesus you will catch that right vision

  69. that will make you to pursue destiny in the right direction

  70. in the name of Jesus. Then in the course of that

  71. study, we went on to identify 5 basic stimulants of purpose.

  72. One information, 2 observation. Can you recollect?

  73. Inspiration was the third one, then meditation, and then we

  74. threw the cutting on irritation. Now observation, I mean

  75. information. I mentioned that the natural

  76. route to information is education and why the spiritual

  77. route to it is revelation. Praise the name of the law.

  78. Now to gain the information that can help you in destiny, the

  79. natural part or routes you take is the part of education because

  80. that lies in the natural realm. Why the spiritual route to it is

  81. revelation then observation. I mentioned that observation

  82. provide the cheapest access to education.

  83. Observation provide the cheapest access to education because if

  84. you practice observation responsibly, you will gain

  85. wisdom. And I define wisdom as a form of

  86. education. You don't pay school fees to

  87. assess, especially if you know how to put your observation to a

  88. good use. Inspiration it as the means by

  89. which you get information that is not available in the natural

  90. realm. To get information that is not

  91. available in the natural realm, you engage inspiration and then

  92. meditation is employed or used to process information.

  93. Use it to process it inspiration and evil revelation into success

  94. tools. That's why Moses admonished

  95. Joshua. Don't let this book of the law

  96. depart from you. Study it, then meditate on it,

  97. and the end result when you follow that due process, OK, is

  98. that you will have good success. OK, so it is by meditation that

  99. you are able to process information, inspiration and

  100. revelation into success too. Then irritation, I did mention

  101. that when you employ irritation very well and positively, you

  102. can turn your garbage to manure for brewing your cabbage.

  103. Hope your mind is not well addressed to what we did in the

  104. last session. Can we now proceed from there?

  105. OK, so today by the grace of God, we will proceed to study

  106. other steps or other experiences that was this a man to generate

  107. passion. If we have spoken so much about

  108. passion, how do you gain passion?

  109. That's been the focus and the last study was dedicated to

  110. discovery of purpose. When you discover purpose, you

  111. are energized. It will create passion in you to

  112. pursue your vision. So the number two thing is that

  113. you must possess high taste for excellence.

  114. You must possess a very high taste for excellence.

  115. So that is next to purpose. Next to purpose, if you will

  116. generate passion to pursue your destiny and make a good meaning

  117. and make a positive impact in your one lifetime is to have

  118. ideas for excellence. How do I mean by that?

  119. I am talking about the ability to be total, the ability to be

  120. thorough, the ability to handle assignment without leaving no

  121. stone on tone. So ability to be thorough, the

  122. ability to have your eyes on the best outcome in everything that

  123. you do. That's excellence.

  124. The ability in you, the driving you, the self motivation in you

  125. to have your eyes on the best outcome.

  126. When you talk about excellence you are talking about 0

  127. Tolerance for failure. 0. Tolerance for failure in your

  128. agenda. OK, if failure happen is an

  129. accident, it's not part of what you program for.

  130. It's not part of what your action or conduct deserves.

  131. So conducting yourself in a way that you don't deserve failure,

  132. that is excellence. Or if you are the lazy type, if

  133. you are the carefree type, if you are the type that doesn't

  134. give attention to details, if you are the type that is not

  135. irritated by what is not good, what is not best, and then

  136. certainly you have prepared for failure.

  137. Am I talking to somebody? So excellence is about

  138. dissatisfaction with average performance.

  139. And that's what will make you thorough.

  140. That's what will make you to have your eye on the best

  141. outcome. Why?

  142. Because you are dissatisfied with average performance.

  143. OK. What you love to have is to

  144. always be a top notch person in your career.

  145. You want to be at the cutting edge.

  146. Press the name of the law in your study.

  147. You want to be at the cutting edge so you have 0 tolerance for

  148. failure and then you are dissatisfied with average

  149. performance. Your eye is always on the best

  150. outcome and of course it is where you love the best that you

  151. will mobilize your potential to push for the best outcome.

  152. If you don't have the spirit of excellence, your potential will

  153. life follow on tapped on use press the name of the law.

  154. But where you have the spirit of excellence, OK, you will be

  155. motivated to mobilize your potential to push for the best

  156. outcome. So having a mindset of pursuing

  157. excellence in life is very key to having passion to pursue

  158. purpose #3 is selfless spirit of love for the well-being of

  159. others. Is selfless spirit of love for

  160. the well-being of others? If you are the type that is

  161. concerned about only you, you may not be able to achieve much

  162. in life. Hello, If you are a

  163. self-centered person, OK, Passion will not be there for

  164. you to be a blessing to others. And of course, when you check

  165. the pyramid of sources, you know what a pyramid is.

  166. Hello Church. You know what a pyramid is At

  167. the base of a pyramid, OK, you can accommodate so many people,

  168. but as you travel up the pyramid, the space is getting

  169. narrower. So in the pyramid of success,

  170. you will find those that want everything done for them at the

  171. base. Hello.

  172. So on the scale of success in the gradient of success, those

  173. that want everything to be done for them by others will always

  174. be at the base, then those that are doing their best for

  175. themselves at the middle. So if you draw a triangle OK and

  176. you divide it into 3 portion, you will discover that the base

  177. is large. It can accommodate.

  178. If you are putting a content into it into the space, it's

  179. going to accommodate more than. As you grow up, you discover

  180. that the second segment, OK, is smaller than the first segment

  181. at the base. Then as you travel up the

  182. gradient, it become very narrower.

  183. That may be even difficult for just one person to stand at the

  184. top. Praise the name of the Lord, OK.

  185. It's very difficult for even just one person to stop at the

  186. top and be articularly wrong. Now I am now saying that when

  187. you relate that to how people are classified on the scale or

  188. gradient of sources, the people you will find at the base will

  189. be so many. And the characteristics that

  190. they will have in common is that they are sets of people that

  191. enjoy people doing things for them to enjoy, their parents

  192. doing things for them to enjoy, their uncle doing things for

  193. them to enjoy, their friends doing things for them to enjoy,

  194. their government doing everything for them to enjoy.

  195. They are never a contributing factor to collective progress.

  196. So those are the people you find at the base.

  197. Then when you get to the second segment in the pyramid, on the

  198. pyramid you find those that are doing their best for them say

  199. they will occupy the middle class.

  200. My career, my family, my study, my children.

  201. You know they will occupy the middle class.

  202. They are doing their best, but the best they are doing is about

  203. them. But if you are going to have

  204. passion, OK. For collective good for

  205. community, good for impact in your generation, you must move

  206. beyond that level. And what will enable you to move

  207. beyond that level is what I call the selfless spirit of love for

  208. the well-being of others. So those that are searching

  209. themselves for the good of others are those will find at

  210. the top. Tell yourself my place is at the

  211. top. I can't hear you say it louder.

  212. So the people you will find at the top are those that are

  213. searching themselves for the good of others.

  214. And what is common with them is that they possess the selfless

  215. spirit of love for the well-being of others.

  216. And then the last that we agree to look at, which will also take

  217. us to the Scripture, the key scripture for today is

  218. patriotism, is closely related to the one I just discussed,

  219. patriotism. Possessing the patriotic spirit

  220. will help you to attain the senior most level of selfless

  221. living. The senior most level of

  222. selfless living. When you have the patriotic

  223. spirit. What actually is patriotism?

  224. In our contest, it is about extending your service beyond

  225. your immediate family and other familial circle.

  226. You know, I did mention that when you have this selfless

  227. spirits, you want to do things for others, but it could still

  228. be in a limited way if it does not enter the patriotic

  229. dimension. By the time your selflessness

  230. enter the patriotic dimension, you will be useful beyond your

  231. family. In fact, you are going to be

  232. useful beyond your local church. You are going to be useful even

  233. beyond the circle of the body of Christ.

  234. Am I talking to somebody? So patriotism is about extending

  235. your service, extending your goodness, extending your

  236. generosity, applying your potential for the good of others

  237. beyond your immediate family and other familiar circles, such as

  238. my friend, my colleague at work. No, patriotism goes beyond that.

  239. Patriotism is about touching lives beyond bloodline and

  240. clannish interests. Some of you can be very

  241. wonderful attending to the extended family.

  242. So people can be very wonderful when it comes to their

  243. community, OK, the cultural setting of their hometown, the

  244. cultural setting of their state of origin.

  245. But when we're talking about patriotism, you are touching

  246. lives beyond bloodline and clannies interests.

  247. I put 2 examples to you the sectarian that we have in new

  248. Chapter 7. It was celebrated by the elders

  249. among the Jewish people for building a temple for the Jews

  250. when himself was not a Jew. Hello, that and that's why I

  251. described patriotism as an extension of selflessness that

  252. goes beyond your immediate environment, beyond bloodline

  253. and Clannis interests. The second example is the Good

  254. Samaritan. He was on a journey.

  255. He met a man that was attacked by bandits.

  256. He was left for dead. He will have pleaded to death.

  257. OK, in summary time then he met a Jew that was wounded by

  258. bandits and he crossed the border of tribal segregation to

  259. attend to the wounded person, whereas a priest at Halya met

  260. him and did nothing. Somebody who is a priest also

  261. possessed some level of passion for doing good, but his own kind

  262. of good is limited to his religious circle.

  263. So he's been good as not enter the patriotic dimension that is

  264. beyond bloodline and clannish interests.

  265. Then a Levites also came and every Levite is a potential

  266. priest. Do you know that he also came by

  267. past the man, maybe even pray God bless you.

  268. Go India take over when it was when I was to do something.

  269. Are you with me? But it's a maritime came and

  270. picked him up paid for his medical medical bill.

  271. In fact he gave them extra and he said even when you need more

  272. write it OK. If it were in the mother time,

  273. his own personal family medical is it card or they call it OK,

  274. He said use it and credit it to me.

  275. So that's Good Samaritan was not a religious leader, but it was

  276. compassionate. It was what compassionate to me.

  277. What loyalty is to a person or to a leadership figure is what

  278. patriotism is to a system or to an institution, even to a

  279. nation. You know, in other words, you

  280. deploy loyalty for the service of an individual, but patriotism

  281. is for the service of a system, of an institution, and it could

  282. even be a nation. And so you're seeking the code

  283. of the system. It's not about whether you like

  284. the leader or you don't like the leader.

  285. Am I talking to somebody? So when you give up on your

  286. country and you don't play a game for your country and you

  287. don't wish your country very well, the problem you have is

  288. the problem of patriotism. It's not the problem of the bad

  289. leaders. Am I talking to somebody?

  290. Because loyalty is to a person. But patriotism, OK, transcend

  291. the person. Patriotism is about love, it's

  292. about interest, it's about sacrifice, it's about seeking

  293. the well-being of a system, institution and even your

  294. nation. And that's why I'm saying if

  295. because you are bad leaders in your country is the reason you

  296. give up on your country, the party, that's not the problem.

  297. Your own problem is the problem of absence of the spirit of

  298. patriotism. Because by reason of patriotism,

  299. you will love the system, you will work for the good of an

  300. institution including your nation, irrespective of which

  301. party is ruling the country. Hello.

  302. Do you know that there are people who wish any government

  303. to fail once it is not their own party that formed the

  304. government? AM I talking to somebody?

  305. There's no way you can have a good country with a kind of

  306. attitude. So what?

  307. Loyalty is to a person, So you give loyalty to a person.

  308. What you give to your country, what you give to your church,

  309. what you give to your family as an institution is patriotism and

  310. once it is there, you will seek the code of that system.

  311. Luke Chapter 7. I read the first 5 verses as we

    Luke 7 chapter mention

  312. wind down on this topic. Now when he had ended all he's

  313. saying in the ordinance of the people, he entered into Capano,

  314. and a certain ceturial servant who was there unto him was sick

  315. and ready to die. Now in certain ceturium, his

  316. servant was sick and ready to die and this man decided to

  317. attend to him the way we attend to his own biological child.

  318. That is selflessness at a level. Are we together?

  319. He doesn't have the attitude that my people call Amario Baku.

  320. So he went all out to seek for the best medical solution, which

  321. was a spiritual one in that era that wherever this miracle walk

  322. in, Jesus was, OK, I will carry my servant there because my

  323. servant is very dear to me. He didn't say after all, I hire

  324. him, I can always hire any other one.

  325. And don't forget it was a sartorial, a military officer.

  326. So you can easily discard any servant and have another one.

  327. Are you with me? But I said, this one is so dear

  328. to me, so selfless spirit. When you have it, there will be

  329. passion to do good. The absence of passion to do

  330. good is because you are selfish. If you are selfless, the passion

  331. will be there to do good. And when the heart of Jesus, he

  332. sent unto him the elders of the Jews decision that Jesus will

  333. come and heal his servants. Then from verse 4 when I

  334. discover another aspect of him that it was not only selfless

  335. towards people, He was also patriotic to the nation and that

  336. nation was not his own place of origin.

  337. Being a sectarian means it was a Roman soldier living in

  338. Jerusalem and he was seeking the good of Jerusalem.

  339. Let's read what he did and why the headers of the Jews decided

  340. to say or compel Jesus to favor him, and I tend to his request.

  341. Verse 4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him

  342. instantly, saying that it was worthy.

  343. For whom is to do this? The elders of the Jews were not

  344. advocating for him before Jesus. That this man the request is

  345. putting before you is a request that must be attended to.

  346. It was worthy that this should be done for him.

  347. Oh yeah, nearly Tia Bashi, if now when you talk to people for

  348. help, do they consider you worthy of the help?

  349. Your past three, your past Condor the way you are related

  350. with the people you are approaching all all that's

  351. before. Does it make you deserving of

  352. the kind of help you also need? You want no joker by time I told

  353. you you're kind of lunar lower. Am I talking to somebody?

  354. So it was not this man, OK, that was throwing himself around and

  355. telling story that I am good. It was the elders of you that

  356. said this man is what is good. Can people testify that you are

  357. good? Now what made them to reach that

  358. conclusion about him? Verse 5 for he loveth our nation

  359. selflessness that transcend bloodline and clannies

  360. interests. He loveth our nation.

  361. I put the question to you, do you love your nation?

  362. Do you love your nation and he build us a synagogue patriotism.

  363. Then the second example, Luke chapter 10, 8 verses is what

    Luke 10 chapter mention

  364. we're going to examine there from verse 30 through 37 and

  365. Jesus answering saying his settlement went down from

  366. Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves which stripped him

  367. of his women and wounded him and departed, leaving him half day.

  368. And by chance when by chance you come across a man that needs

  369. help, what do you do? And by chance, because people

  370. who will make a demand or you for help, OK, will not

  371. ordinarily fall into your plan. Hello.

  372. They will not ordinarily fall into your budget.

  373. People who seek help, OK, They come in as disruption to your

  374. budget. So I'm a principal person.

  375. No, I can't alter my budget. Then you are not a good person.

  376. I know that there are people who by their carelessness, OK, they

  377. want you to be responsible for their carelessness.

  378. I'm not talking about those people.

  379. But generally speaking, OK, the rendering app is always about

  380. all. You have to alter your own

  381. personal plan. You have to sacrifice your own

  382. comforts. Am I talking to somebody?

  383. So it was by chance, not the way they plan it.

  384. So the priest had a schedule meeting, OK, And already waiting

  385. for him and he must not miss it. Maybe it was even a council

  386. meeting. Maybe it was to even perform a

  387. religious ceremony. But by chance there came down a

  388. certain priest that way, and when he saw him, he passed by on

  389. the other side. He passed by on the other side.

  390. And likewise in Levites, when he was at a place, came and looked

  391. on him and also passed by on the other side.

  392. But he's setting Samaritan, He's setting Samaritan.

  393. Don't let it be safe that unbelievers are better than you

  394. are doing good. Don't let it be said in your

  395. community. Don't let it be said in your

  396. neighborhood that your own believers, OK, that you share

  397. your neighborhood with, OK, have a record of being better than

  398. you are doing good. Because that is the scenario

  399. here. The priest use a contemporary

  400. church language. The pastor maybe the general of

  401. a share. He has the capacity and control

  402. of resources to render and he deny the head.

  403. Then the Levites, the Dickens and the child they follow after

  404. the lifestyle of the general of a share also deny people head.

  405. Then he stuck unbeliever that could consider on save he had

  406. compassion. A Samaritan is setting one as a

  407. journey came where the world and when he saw him he had

  408. compassion on him. I will close this discussion by

  409. giving you a special definition for compassion as it's related

  410. to passion. They started for and he went to

  411. him. The other one passed by the

  412. other side. In fact they were on the side

  413. before, but the moment they spotted him, they defeated but

  414. this one went to him. You know that somebody has a

  415. need. I say I didn't do it because he

  416. didn't ask. So don't let it be that it is

  417. only the help that were asked for that you give.

  418. Also respond to the help that you discover.

  419. I can never forget what I should go there Amola in my life, my

  420. years in the university, one particular time I had nothing

  421. again on me. Nothing again on me for going

  422. for like 24 hours without fasting.

  423. OK, all I had with me, I think it was 1 error.

  424. You know, our course is now so bastardized that you may not be

  425. able to fix it properly now. OK.

  426. But that amount I had on me was sufficient to buy just a wrap of

  427. sweets. OK.

  428. And I went, I bought that wrap of sweets and I leak it so that

  429. at least there'll be some glucose semi system.

  430. Then by the time the day will break, after I finished praying,

  431. I had a knock on my door. And I hope yes, Gary and some

  432. other thing. And I said, Prashek, what's the

  433. situation? He said he went to Zion.

  434. It's like every academic environment has a Zion.

  435. He said he went to Zion to pray and as he started praying the

  436. Holy Ghost said to him this is not the time to be praying.

  437. OK, my son OK, but I would like to come to the university.

  438. OK needed help and he went back to his room and took from all

  439. sorts of stuff from his own food store and brought to me and he

  440. met my It was not a help that I went to ask for for the Holy

  441. Spirit minister to him. Go ahead.

  442. And he went to him and bound up his wound, pouring in oil and

  443. wine and set him on his own beast.

  444. Now the oil and the wine, when he set out OK, he didn't meant

  445. to use it to attend to a wounded person.

  446. Maybe it's for a complete different, different purpose.

  447. And set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and

  448. took care of him, and on the model when he departed.

  449. So when he brought him to an end, he discontinued his own

  450. journey to stay with him. He took out two pens and gave

  451. them to the horse, and said unto him, Take care of him.

  452. And whatsoever does spend, there's more.

  453. When I come again I will repeat the week.

  454. Now of these three thinkers. That was neighbor unto him that

  455. fell among the thieves. And he said, he does sweat mercy

  456. on him. Then he said, then set Jesus

  457. unto him, go and do thou likewise.

  458. And so let's wrap it up this way.

  459. What motivated this man to do what he did was the spirit of

  460. compassion. And perhaps you don't know

  461. compassion means compound or community passion.

  462. Compound or words. Community passion.

  463. The one that is motivated or generated by patriotism, where

  464. you seek the good of others beyond bloodline, religious or

  465. clannish interests. It is the form of passion that

  466. is deployed for the generality of the people, starting with

  467. your neighbors, that needs your head and not just for the

  468. pursuit of personal ambition. And so this is the conclusion of

  469. the matter on passion for impact.

  470. It should not just be about passion to pursue only your

  471. personal ambition. Factor in compassion which I

  472. describe as compound or community passion that will make

  473. you seek the good of others. God bless you and grant you

  474. grace to put this message to a good use for the good of people

  475. and to the glory of Gods of God in Jesus name.

  476. Hallelujah. Don't be left in the dark.

  477. Get proper understanding of life through the Word of God.

  478. My people perish for lack of knowledge.

  479. The Word of God is an illumination which gives

  480. direction. Remain placed as reverend as far

  481. and illuminates your mind with the Word of God with all

  482. simplicity and clarity.
