  1. Don't be left in the dark, get proper understanding of fly

  2. through the Word of God. My people perish for lack of

  3. knowledge. The Word of God is an

  4. illumination which gives direction.

  5. Remember please, as Reverend was fallen illuminates your mind

  6. with the Word of God with all simplicity and clarity.

  7. The topic is still lessons on friendship, the principle of

  8. clubbing to climb, and it's looking like this message will

  9. crossover into 2026. Praise the name of the Lord.

  10. Now we have dedicated the last two sessions of the study to

  11. examine the characteristics of organic friendship.

  12. You will recollect that we categorize friendship, the

  13. evolution of it into two major category, the organic friendship

  14. and the mechanical friendship. And we pick on David and

  15. Jonathan and we probe their relationship, their friendship.

  16. And we found out that their friendship is an excellent model

  17. of organic friendship where there is symbiotic relationship,

  18. where reciprocation surpass expectation.

  19. And of course specifically last week we placed the emphasis of

  20. our study on the evolution of organic friendship from non

  21. premediated contacts that will go past contracts to become a

  22. covenant with transgenerational prospects.

  23. That if it is an organic relationship, organic

  24. friendship, it will start by contacts and it is not going to

  25. be characterized by contracts, but rather it will go beyond

  26. contracts to a level of covenants.

  27. And that convenance can outlive the partners that started it to

  28. become a transgenerational kind of friendship with a lot of

  29. prospects for children yet unborn.

  30. And in while we were examining the relationship between David

  31. and Jonathan, we saw how that played out.

  32. How many bosses? The son of Jonathan eventually

  33. became a beneficiary of the good and godly actedness of his

  34. father Jonathan. And one day David, having

  35. attained the truth, is said to himself.

  36. Is there anyone left of the household of soul that I may

  37. honor him, that I am a blessing, that I may reciprocate the

  38. kindness of my friend Jonathan? He said.

  39. I want to do this for the sake of my friend Jonathan.

  40. So an organic relationship that started one day of contact

  41. between David and Jonathan. And all through the lifetime of

  42. Jonathan, all he did to David was good.

  43. Then he died, The family of Jonathan lost the throne to

  44. David. But David said in spite of what

  45. Saul did to me, I still have the obligation to pay the loan of

  46. kindness that Jonathan so to me. So it was an organic kind of

  47. relationship that has this characteristics of starting as a

  48. contact went beyond contract to become a covenant with every

  49. transgenerational prospects that made people said eventually

  50. benefit. I pray that in your choice of a

  51. friend you will not pick a wrong person, that you will regret the

  52. relationship in the name of Jesus.

  53. And so today we are going to probe further the translational

  54. prospects of an organic friendship.

  55. And God's willing, we will also touch on how to preserve it if

  56. you have it, if you are privileged to have it, how to

  57. preserve it, and if you are privileged to inherit it, how to

  58. preserve it because many people said inherited it.

  59. The father, the friend of his father became his benefactor.

  60. Praise the name of the law. So you need to know particularly

  61. for young people that are listed to me that the relationships

  62. built by your parent may come to you very cheaply and a lot of

  63. you have benefited that very cheaply.

  64. OK, your father will just give you is, is it complementary card

  65. or you call it and then you just walk into an office and you are

  66. given a job. You just walk into an office and

  67. you are given admission, praise the name of the Lord.

  68. Somebody just meets you and say, oh, you are the son of so, so,

  69. so, so, so, so, so. OK, meet me.

  70. There's an opportunity somewhere I want to introduce you to.

  71. So it will come here as a result of the fact that you are

  72. privileged to have parents, OK, who have taken their time to

  73. behave responsibly and build relationship.

  74. So it may come to you very cheaply.

  75. Therefore keep it. Therefore manage it.

  76. Therefore handle it sensibly because it will be disastrous if

  77. you mismanage it and lose it by your careless attitude.

  78. Lose it by your careless attitude.

  79. So generally when we talk about friendship, friendship is

  80. emotionally demanding. That friendship that has crossed

  81. over to you and you are benefiting, OK, It has caused

  82. the people that started it lots and lots of emotions.

  83. So friendship generally is emotionally demanding and when

  84. it is a good one, when you are getting it right, you will enjoy

  85. a pleasant emotional experience. So friendship to a degree is a

  86. sacred matter. It's more sacred than the casual

  87. way some young people take it. Am I talking to somebody?

  88. So it is emotionally the Monday and when you are getting it

  89. right, you will enjoy pleasant emotional experience, no

  90. heartbreak, nobody is having you breakfast.

  91. But when you don't understand the sacredness of friendship and

  92. the emotional implication of friendship, when they start, you

  93. break fast, then you are destabilized, you become

  94. depressed, you are contemplating committing suicide.

  95. OK, you are no longer getting it right in your study.

  96. It's just because somebody serve you breakfast.

  97. Am I talking to somebody? But by the time you were

  98. starting this whole thing, you will never think about the

  99. emotional demand attached to relationship.

  100. So because of the emotional demand of friendship or

  101. relationship, you need to enter every level of relationship

  102. cautiously and prayerfully because if you get it right, it

  103. can be emotionally devastating. It's emotionally demanding.

  104. Bless that experience. If you get it right, if you get

  105. it wrong, it will be emotionally devastating.

  106. I pray in the name of Jesus, the Lord will deliver you.

  107. It will help you against going into a relationship or

  108. friendship that will devastate to emotionally in the name of

  109. Jesus. So every form of friendship, for

  110. every form of friendship, casual or connected to marriage, OK,

  111. demand the expendition of emotional capital.

  112. There's no way you enter a relationship, you enter a

  113. friendship that you will not expend emotional capital.

  114. Am I talking to somebody? So, you should therefore make

  115. the choice of your friend wisely, make it prayerfully and

  116. audit the relationship regularly.

  117. I've said three critical thing, make the choice wisely, make the

  118. choice prayerfully and thirdly, audit the relationship

  119. regularly. And may I guide you on how to

  120. audit your relationship or friendship?

  121. You need to ask the question what am I giving?

  122. Hello, what am I giving? Remember I told you that the

  123. things you look for or look up to a relationship, one of the

  124. principalities substance. So you yourself that is going to

  125. a relationship, what are you going to have to contribute?

  126. So what am I giving? You need to regularly ask

  127. yourself then why auditing your relationship?

  128. You also need to ask what am I getting?

  129. Hello, what am I getting? You must not be selfish in

  130. relationship but at the same time you must not be foolish in

  131. relationship. It's not the best that you are

  132. giving everything and you are not getting anything.

  133. The proportion may not balance, but it must be a symbiotic

  134. relationship where you don't have the financial capacity to

  135. contribute materially. You still have much to

  136. contribute. That was why we examine the

  137. example of David and Jonathan, one of royalty, the other of a

  138. Pisa background. But in spite of the Pisa

  139. background of baby, it was still contributing much.

  140. Are we together? It was still contributing much.

  141. So you should ask yourself what am I getting?

  142. Because if you are into a relationship, the one that is

  143. not contributing anything, I have nothing to lose.

  144. Are we together? So the one that is not making

  145. effort to contribute something to be suspected.

  146. And I'm telling you this because of the emotional implication of

  147. relationship. So you should do the choosing

  148. wisely, do it prayerfully and also audit it regularly.

  149. And what are the helpful guide, the tool kits that can help you

  150. In the other thing I'm saying, you should go there with

  151. substance. You should be able to ask

  152. yourself and assign the affirmative that I am giving

  153. something. And then you should also be able

  154. to also assign the affirmative that you are getting something.

  155. And then lastly, where are we going?

  156. Three key questions. What am I giving?

  157. What am I getting? Then together?

  158. Where are we going? Where you are going together?

  159. Does it align with your personal vision?

  160. So don't because of a relationship, sacrifice your

  161. future, sacrifice your career, sacrifice your eternity.

  162. Where are we going? Not Tory.

  163. Already a party. Am I talking to somebody?

  164. Not Tory or professional. I professional people be Where

  165. are we going? AM I communicating to somebody?

  166. So where are we going? Where are we heading?

  167. And so to further buttress this matter, we're going to again

  168. look at another type of symbiotic or organic

  169. relationship as an example of how organic relationship runs

  170. and the experiences you can find there and how to manage the

  171. experience because it is not always smooth.

  172. The best of friends also do fights.

  173. Hello. The best of friend also do have

  174. issues. The best of friend also do

  175. disagree. The best of friend OK also do

  176. have reasons after the audit to say will I continue or will I

  177. disengage? Am I talking to somebody?

  178. So we are going to therefore examine the story of King Hiram.

  179. Hiram spell HIR AM and King Solomon, these two great kings

  180. with the inheritors of the friendship built by their two

  181. great fathers. King David was the father of

  182. Solomon. He had a friend who happens to

  183. be the father of King Hiram, and in their relationship, Hiram did

  184. everything well to preserve the relationship they inherited, the

  185. friendship they inherited. But Solomon almost squander it

  186. by playing too smart. And we're going to read that

  187. scripture. Where can Solomon almost

  188. squander that inherited relationship because he played

  189. too smart. He played too smart.

  190. And that's this story we are looking at today is the second

  191. example in our study of symbiotic or organic

  192. relationship that is characterized with mutual

  193. reciprocation. We said that organic

  194. relationship, one of the major characteristics of it is that it

  195. is characterized with mutual reciprocation and less

  196. expectation. So another relationship to

  197. suspect is the one that is always expecting and expecting

  198. very high expectation but not ready to reciprocate in any way.

  199. So, but in the in the example of David and Jonathan, we saw an

  200. excellent mood. And so we are now looking at

  201. another generation, the one that inherited relationship or

  202. friendship. King Hiram and in can what now

  203. church can Solomon. So their relationship to is an

  204. example that depicts mutual reciprocation and the friendship

  205. was peaceful and mutually beneficial.

  206. But there was an eco at a point or at a time when Solomon played

  207. a smart one on his friend King Iram.

  208. So both of them were of royalty, unlike Jonathan and David that

  209. came from different social backgrounds.

  210. And this friendship, like I mentioned earlier, started

  211. between the fathers of these two great kings, David, the father

  212. of King Solomon and ABI Bao, the father of King Iram.

  213. Let's check first king chapter 5.

  214. Maybe I'll give us First King chapter 5.

  215. We're going to read the first 12 verses.

  216. Please give careful attention as I read verse one.

  217. First Kings chapter 5. And Iram, king of Tyrus, sent

    1 Kings 5 chapter mention

  218. his servants on to Solomon, for he had heard that they had

  219. anointed him king in the room of his father.

  220. For Iram was ever a lover of David.

  221. Now Iran was ever a lover of David.

  222. You will see that the organic contents of the friendship was

  223. retained. He had the news that Solomon has

  224. ascended the truth, and then he made the first move to say

  225. congratulation. You see, friendship is something

  226. you watch carefully do not with suspicion but a friend.

  227. I find it difficult to say congratulations when you

  228. succeed. What are you doing with that

  229. friend? AM I talking to somebody?

  230. You have to be asking. Say go quit multi World

  231. University. Only move.

  232. Go. You got no one call.

  233. Where you go to my pony Larani here now.

  234. Am I talking to somebody? Are you the first person to go

  235. to look if we call another friend, look to say I didn't

  236. contact him for getting admission to the university?

  237. And you keep that relationship, you don't make that person an

  238. enemy. But you must learn to keep a

  239. distance from such kind of people.

  240. Am I talking to somebody? I hear you by picking you well

  241. now, not better. So and Hiram king of Tyrus sent

  242. his servants onto Solomon, for he had had that they are noted

  243. in king in the room of his father.

  244. For Hiram was ever a lover of babies.

  245. So it means when his own father and King David were friends, OK,

  246. as a young man he was watching it and he loved King David, the

  247. friend of his father in our heart that the son has ascended

  248. the throne enough transferred the same love to Solomon, praise

  249. the name of the Lord. Somebody said I love you and the

  250. person is doing good to your child and you are believing the

  251. person. Hello check.

  252. It probably is claiming lost because of what is getting from

  253. you. So it was an organic friendship

  254. because it was ever a lover of David.

  255. So it was easy for him to transfer it to the son of King

  256. David, who has not accepted the tune.

  257. And he made the first move to say congratulation for attaining

  258. the truth. You know, himself was already a

  259. king. He didn't feel G3 OK that

  260. another person is also coming to his level.

  261. You know, there are people who cannot stand the success of

  262. others once they are there. They want to always be there.

  263. They don't even want anybody to near them.

  264. Talk less of surpassing them. And I do tell people or I've had

  265. it said and I also believe it. And I also tell people that when

  266. you, when you are in a place where people are succeeding, it

  267. means the spirit of success is in the neighborhood.

  268. So it is that person. Turn today.

  269. It will be your Tom before the day, the day close.

  270. Why will you not rejoice? Why will you not be happy?

  271. Praise the name of the Lord. Praise the name of the Lord.

  272. And so he sent to him to greet him, to congratulate him.

  273. So the relationship was organic and Solomon sent to him.

  274. I'm saying so Solomon to now sent back to him.

  275. You can see the spirit of reciprocation, right

  276. communication. Thou knowest how that David my

  277. father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord is

  278. God. For the walls which were about

  279. him on every side want to not put them under the soles of his

  280. feet. But now the Lord my God had

  281. given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary

  282. nor evil occurrence. And beyond I propose to build an

  283. house unto the name of the Lord my God.

  284. As the Lord speak unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I

  285. will set upon thy throne in thy room, He shall build an house

  286. unto my name. Now, therefore, command thou

  287. that the human cedar trees out of Lebanon and my servant shall

  288. be with their servant, and on to thee Will I give ayah for the

  289. servant according to all that thou shall appoint?

  290. He has passed the first Test of audit.

  291. He was. He wanted to get something, but

  292. also ready to give something. Am I talking to somebody?

  293. He wanted to get something but was also ready to do or to give

  294. something. Not that he just want to exploit

  295. his friend and take everything for free.

  296. He was demonstrating a spirit of entirely a spirit of commitment,

  297. not a spirit of entitlements. So when you go into a

  298. relationship of friendship, OK, go with the spirit of commitment

  299. that you yourself, you want to commit something, you want to

  300. give something, not that you just want to take and take and

  301. take and take and take. For thou knowest that there is

  302. not among us any that can skill to heal timber like onto the

  303. sedonians. So he understood his capacity

  304. and he also understood his weakness.

  305. He knew that among his own Lieutenant and people, they

  306. don't have the capacity to the skill to heal wolves.

  307. Are we together? And when you read the story of

  308. the building of the temple that he needed this wolf for, you

  309. will really know that this Cydonians really were skillful

  310. in wolves. The Bible told us that in the

  311. process why they were building the temple, all the woods were

  312. pre finished in the wilderness before they now bring it to the

  313. site. And therefore there was no sound

  314. of the use of armor or through the process.

  315. Am I talking to somebody? So these were excellent people,

  316. very skillful, and Solomon wanted to engage them, but he

  317. was also ready to give something back in exchange for both the

  318. material and the skill, the technology they were bringing.

  319. Now when you are choosing a friend, what value have you seen

  320. that friend? OK, other than the fact that he

  321. do crazy hairstyle and he will not tie his bed properly, How

  322. does that contribute to putting food on your table?

  323. How does that contribute to you becoming efficient in your

  324. career and professional? Am I talking to somebody?

  325. So you want to choose a friend, Look for value.

  326. Look for what value not just what is involved.

  327. A lot of people look for vogue and vague things instead of

  328. looking for value. Verse 7 or what next verse.

  329. And it came to pass when Haram had the worst of Solomon, that

  330. he returns greatly, and said, Blessed be the Lord this day,

  331. which are given unto David, a white son, over these great

  332. people. And Iram sent to Solomon,

  333. saying, I have considered the things without sentence to me,

  334. Sentence to me for. And I will do all thy desire

  335. concerning timber of Sada, and concerning timber of fire.

  336. My servants have bring them down from Lebanon onto the sea, and I

  337. will confer them by the sea in floats on to the place that thou

  338. shall appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and

  339. thou shall receive them, and thou shall accomplish my desire

  340. in giving food for my household when you are hot.

  341. Relationship. What am I giving?

  342. What am I getting? Where are we heading?

  343. Where are we going? I will give all that you have

  344. required for, but you too, You give food for my household.

  345. And you know that Israel is an agrarian community from ancient

  346. time up to today. AM I talking to somebody?

  347. So the issue of substance, OK. You can't be blinded by love and

  348. forget substance. Say I love him.

  349. You love him for what value? You love her for what value am I

  350. talking to somebody? So if you love a person, OK, let

  351. that person also make himself or herself likeable.

  352. Hello. Because you may not be able to

  353. adduce a reason to love. Are you with me?

  354. You may not be able to adduce a reason to love, but graduate

  355. from just love even to the physical name of being liked.

  356. So there must be something about you that the person who loves

  357. you also like. There must be value about you

  358. that the person who love you like.

  359. If that is not there, the love may fail.

  360. That's what tell. So Iran gave Solomon cedar trees

  361. and factory according to all his desire.

  362. And Solomon gave Hiram 20,000 meters of wheat for food to his

  363. household. And 20 meters of pure oil does

  364. give Solomon to Hiram year by year.

  365. Can you see sustainability? He sustained it.

  366. So he didn't give that household food just because of what you

  367. want to get in the moment. The fact that is sustain it is

  368. what has made it to go beyond contracts to covenants.

  369. So one of the things that casualties covenant is

  370. sustainability. If it's a contract, the moment,

  371. not a not a parineer. Hello.

  372. And some guess I'm sorry to say they are so stupid.

  373. OK, that somebody give you 10,000 naira or less than the

  374. and the person sleep with you and the hands there and you are

  375. calling it love and every time the person need you give you

  376. another money. You're a lady of easy virtue.

  377. That's not how to live life. And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom

  378. as he promised him, and there was peace between Iran and

  379. Solomo. So that peace came at the cost

  380. of commitment, not at the cost of entitlement.

  381. The peace between them came at the cost of words, commitments,

  382. not entitlements. What the first person promise to

  383. give is giving it. What do that person promise to

  384. give OK is also giving it. There is reciprocation and

  385. that's why I said organic relationship that is godly.

  386. Now it's going to be of less expectation, but much of

  387. reciprocation where you take kindness not as what you are

  388. entitled to, but you take kindness as a loan to be repaid.

  389. And they too made a league together.

  390. So from this scripture is clear that both men were men of

  391. substance. One was not expecting the order.

  392. The relationship was symbiotic. It was reciprocatory.

  393. Until think Solomon played a first one, but Iram stayed

  394. faithful. King Solomon played in first one

  395. and Iram stayed faithful. We're going to study where King

  396. Solomon played in first one in first King 9 from verse 10 to

  397. the verse 14. Solomon promised to give Iram

  398. City, but by the time he will give him, what he gave does not

  399. satisfy the expectation of his I mean did not satisfy the

  400. expectation of his prayer. In fact, the Bible mentioned

  401. that when he received the cities that Solomon promised, he named

  402. it Kabul. So don't serve your friend the

  403. Kabul experience, it's not good. What is the meaning of Kabul

  404. CABUL? It means good for nothing to

  405. indicate his dissatisfaction with how Solomon Jill told him,

  406. but something good about Iram is that despite this, Iram didn't

  407. end the relationship with Solomon and this is likely due

  408. to the fact that he was a friend that came in with commitment and

  409. not with his sense of entitlement.

  410. Can we read firstly chapter 10 verse for three and it came to

  411. pass at the end of 20 years when Solomon had built the houses,

  412. the House of the law and the King's house.

  413. Now the relationship has endured for solitude decades and we can

  414. have a record of the benefits that came to Solomon from the

  415. relationship. What were they?

  416. The Bible say? He had succeeded in building two

  417. houses for himself. You know by himself mentioned

  418. that his men were not skillful at building and so the

  419. technology and the material for the building came from where?

  420. From his friend Hiram. And from there he was able to

  421. build 2 houses and then also build the temple, the House of

  422. the law. And of course, the King's house

  423. was 11. Now Iram, the king of Tarah had

  424. fallen. Solomon with cedar trees and

  425. fair tree, not only that, with gold, according to all his

  426. desire. Can we give it to Haram for

  427. being a great friend? I pray that God will give you

  428. that kind of spirit in the name of Jesus.

  429. And I pray also that God will give you that kind of a friend

  430. in the name of Jesus that the king Solomon gave Iran 20 cities

  431. in the land of Galilee, Denver sway and Iran came out from

  432. trial to see the cities with Solomon at give him and they
