  1. Hey, welcome to the City Point Church podcast.

  2. Thanks for joining us. Every day is an opportunity to

  3. take hold of. So we hope this message inspires

  4. you and build your faith that it helps you have more of a God

  5. perspective for your day. Enjoy something.

  6. I do know that Anne and I, what we call the sunum bonum, it's

  7. Latin for you. I know little Hebrew.

  8. He owns a fish and chip shop near our place.

  9. But I know a little bit of Latin.

  10. The word sunum bonum means the ultimate, the supreme and the

  11. cause of God in our marriage is Jesus Christ.

  12. It's a, it's a sunum bonum, Jesus Christ and his cause,

  13. Jesus Christ and these calls and I want to talk about the cause

  14. today. This is a scripture I've got for

  15. my year. I don't know if you've got a

  16. script a few a year, but every year we have a, a scripture or a

  17. saying. Last year it was God had to be

  18. new and it had to be interesting.

  19. Whatever we do, it had to be new.

  20. Like as you get older, I'm 74 and as you get older, you know,

  21. the same old, same old. That's not good enough for old

  22. people. If you're old person the other

  23. day, it's not good enough. You must Ah, Dan, I've worked 50

  24. years my 2 day. No, it's not, Not while you

  25. breathe, breath. You might get old, but the call

  26. of God doesn't. The call of God doesn't.

  27. It's a lie. You've never been more.

  28. You've never been more knowledgeable.

  29. You've never been had so much experience.

  30. You've never had so much wisdom as what you've got now.

  31. And if you're older, you should be doing bigger miracles than

  32. you've ever done. You should be getting people

  33. saved. It's not good enough.

  34. So I'm retired. We're we're reforming what

  35. retirement means. Why not?

  36. We're pioneers in this area. But there's a couple here still

  37. in the Kingdom of God, still still serving in the Kingdom.

  38. And so today I wanna read through, I wanna read here from

  39. Hebrews chapter 12, verse one to three.

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  40. And this is my scripture for the I don't know what you've got.

  41. If you've read your Bible this week, say oh Amen.

  42. If you didn't just say Oh my, read your Bible study the word

  43. of God and says he is there for when you see.

  44. Therefore in the Bible, you gotta see what is there for and

  45. it's therefore because something went before and in Chapter 11,

  46. it talks about all the great men and women of God who who grabbed

  47. a hold of the cause of God. People like Abraham, Sarah at

  48. the age of 90, he has a kid at the age of 90, full mate.

  49. What a thing to think about. That's a miracle itself.

  50. But then talks about Caleb talks about Joshua, he talks about

  51. Isaiah, get this about Isaiah. They put him in between two

  52. slabs of timber and sword him in half from top to bottom.

  53. But he wouldn't let go of the cause.

  54. And he talked about all these great people of God and and it

  55. comes near the writer of Hebrews.

  56. This is therefore, since we're surrounded by such a great cloud

  57. of witnesses. You're you're not by yourself.

  58. You're never alone. You might feel alone in your

  59. workplace, you might feel alone in your in your neighborhood,

  60. you might feel alone in the situation you are, but you would

  61. never. You are surrounded by such a

  62. great cloud of witnesses. And let us lay aside every

  63. weight, every sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us

  64. run with endurance the race that God has set before us.

  65. You've got to race, so you've got to race.

  66. I'm still around at this age because God's still got to race

  67. for me. He's still got something there

  68. for me. And let us run the race.

  69. Let us run with endurance the race that has set before us,

  70. looking unto Jesus, the author, the finisher or the the master

  71. architect or the designer, the author, the finisher, the

  72. perfector of our faith. I don't know about you, but I'm

  73. still feeling that Jesus is perfecting me.

  74. I still feel he's taking me into situations.

  75. I was talking to a young guy this morning.

  76. He said he's going grade 12 this year and I said how do you feel

  77. about going to grade 12? He said I'm a bit nervous.

  78. I said, mate, if it's not nervous, it's not worth doing.

  79. In some of the situations and I go into, I'm spitlessly scared,

  80. but it only means I'm going to see the power of God work.

  81. You might go in and you might manifest a bit like me, but I'll

  82. tell you what, when you're at that edge there, you're going to

  83. see great things happen because you've never walked this journey

  84. before. And I don't want to go back to

  85. the same journey as I went last year.

  86. I want to go somewhere new. I want to see New Horizons.

  87. I want to see new miracles. I want to see more salvations.

  88. I can't say I did it last year or I worked for 50 years and,

  89. oh, that's it for me, mate. It's time for me, you know?

  90. What are you doing this year, love?

  91. Nothing. But you did that all last year.

  92. Yeah. I didn't finish it yet.

  93. Don't want to be like that. God's got a whole world out

  94. there that needs to be touched by me, by you, the author who

  95. for the joy that is set before us endured the cross, despising

  96. shame and sat down at the right hand of the Father, the joy, the

  97. joy. Last night I got a text message

  98. from a young guy who came out of our church in Atherton and and

  99. I've trained up 7 senior pastors in our ministry walk and one of

  100. them last night text me and he's got a church, City Bridge

  101. Church, just South of Brisbane Inc Church.

  102. Borndly, how you going aboard? Great, great.

  103. You've got a fire on your belly. Great.

  104. How long you been there, boy? 26 years, 26 years preaching.

  105. You didn't think that'd bring joy to us?

  106. For the joy, for the joy. If you see, The thing is, is you

  107. see a lot of Christians got no joy in their life.

  108. They think, you know, that joy is just having this nice little

  109. time with Jesus. No, the joy is when you see

  110. people touched by God through your ministry.

  111. And Pastor Graham Melanie's, their role here in this church

  112. is to train you and I equip you and I to do the work of the

  113. ministry, to lay hands on the sin, to see them recover.

  114. So 2026, what's it going to look like for you?

  115. Is this a year where your faith comes alive?

  116. Is this a year where you go to another level in God?

  117. Is this a year where I enter into the world of miracles?

  118. Oh, friends, you see miracles when you see legs grow, when you

  119. see broken marriages restored, when you see the lost and the

  120. broken and the orphan. Find a home in church and home

  121. with Jesus. The joy that it brings.

  122. I feel sad to many Christians because I never, ever entered

  123. into that joy. They think it's this couple's

  124. job or couples like us who've got a fire in our valley.

  125. But the joy is for you. So what's 2026 going to bring

  126. the salvations of souls. Maybe it's your next door

  127. neighbor, maybe it's meeting your next door neighbor, having

  128. a BBQ with them when then I go away.

  129. We used to have a cat. When we go away, we'd get our

  130. neighbors would fight over who was going to look after the cat.

  131. And I didn't realize why until I came back and found they said to

  132. us, well, we just come, we just sit in your home because there's

  133. something about your home. So you can touch the world just

  134. by bringing, building a good marriage, just by building a

  135. presence of God in your home and then inviting your neighbors

  136. into it, having a BBQ. So you just don't know.

  137. Is this a year? Maybe this is a year.

  138. You might say, Dan, I just don't want another year like last

  139. year. Maybe last year was a tough year

  140. for you be many of us here who had a tough year last year, but

  141. the Bible saying here, put it aside all those weights, put

  142. them aside, put them aside and I so this year could be a year you

  143. look back on like in Isaiah chapter 6, verse one where

    Isaiah 6 chapter mention

  144. Isaiah said it was the year that King Uzziah died that I saw the

  145. Lord and maybe 2026 is going to be the year where you can sit

  146. back and say 2026 was the year that I saw the Lord and I saw

  147. the Lord working through my life.

  148. I saw the Lord when I laid hands on someone, he actually healed

  149. them. I mean, I'm still dumbfound.

  150. I'm still dumbfound and and I some year ago we were in Beijing

  151. and we was just doing the touristy thing.

  152. We're up on the Great Wall having walking around the Great

  153. Wall and, and there was this young and Italian every time we

  154. travel, I said, and I'm multilingual, you know,

  155. multilingual Monjourno, you know, and then I start talking

  156. Italian. And Neil, is this a young

  157. couple, not a young couple, a 35 year old.

  158. And we got talking, you know, the Bible says out of the heart,

  159. the mouth speaks within within 5 minutes.

  160. This young couple, they just don't poured their heart out.

  161. We didn't say who we were poured their heart out.

  162. See, the world's in need. This young couple said, you

  163. know, we've been trying for years to have a baby.

  164. We just can't have a baby. We've tried everything.

  165. We just can't have a baby. And with that whole mouthpiece

  166. here says, Oh, well, we're Christians.

  167. We pray for quite a few couples who can't have babies and they

  168. have babies. How about we pray for you?

  169. These people didn't know God. So we prayed for them, didn't we

  170. love? And we gave them our e-mail

  171. account and said, now what? We want you.

  172. The dealer says, we'll pray for you.

  173. But when you have come pregnant, we want an e-mail from you.

  174. And they said, well, we've been trying for years.

  175. Yeah, well, I know that just now.

  176. Here's our e-mail. I want to hear from you.

  177. Two months later, we got this e-mail saying, ha, ha, we're

  178. having a baby. You think we weren't surprised?

  179. Give it a go, you mug, you might win.

  180. That's what Clark Carly used to always say to us.

  181. Give it a mug. Go, you mug.

  182. You never know, you might win. But see, if you don't pray for

  183. them, the answer's always the same.

  184. But if you do pray for them, you never know what would happen.

  185. And it says, lay aside. Those weights that hold you from

  186. last year, lay them aside, you might say, well, Dan, I've been

  187. a Christian for 50 years, mate. I've heard it all.

  188. Are you? And I would say to you, you

  189. haven't been a Christian for 50 years.

  190. You've been for Christian one year, but you've done it 50

  191. times. Is this all right?

  192. One year, 50 times. How boring.

  193. How boring. Oh, have you ever prayed for

  194. anybody? No, why not?

  195. Oh well, you ever lifted your hands in church?

  196. Oh, I could if I wanted to. Has the alcohol gone?

  197. Oh, I could give it up anytime. Give it up today.

  198. Then. See, this could be the year

  199. where you see the Lord. This could be the year where you

  200. say, I didn't realize that God could move through me, but I've

  201. got this problem. We got that problem, mate.

  202. You want to see the problems I've got?

  203. If I went to confession today, we'd be in there all week.

  204. Sin, that sin, that sin, that sin.

  205. But God still loves you and He still works through you.

  206. We're not going to get through this message.

  207. Put aside every burden, young people, What are the burdens

  208. you're carrying? The burden of trying to get a

  209. career. We understand that.

  210. What about the burden of trying to find a a wife or a husband?

  211. Oh, that's that's a heavy I got I got 8 grandkids, 6 of them

  212. girls pop. We just want to find ourselves a

  213. good man. All of them in church except

  214. one. The birds.

  215. Put aside the birds. What am I going to do?

  216. I'm nervous, I'm scared. They're burdens, the birds past

  217. disappointments. But I prayed for people who

  218. never got. I've given money away to people.

  219. I've been conned. Well, get over it.

  220. I've given Whitby hurt. But see, if you let the hurt

  221. stop you, you never do anything for God.

  222. Is that right? It says here in the Scriptures

  223. that Jesus despising the shame, He despising the shame.

  224. How do you think I felt going into the mining industry?

  225. The Rev. The Rev. But lies were touched.

  226. Lives were touched. People would laugh at me and

  227. scoff at me. Well, that's all right.

  228. They chuckle for how tall I am, too.

  229. They always should have messed here.

  230. They're gonna Chuck off you anyway.

  231. Who cares? Friends, The year 2026.

  232. What's it gonna mean for us? Put them aside.

  233. Growing old. You might be an elderly person,

  234. he said. Dear.

  235. No, you know, made the sickness in my life.

  236. Look, I've been the last 414 years, not with a sickness, but

  237. plagued with sicknesses. Got to put them aside, not just

  238. once, not twice, played with them, put them aside, put them

  239. aside because there's a call and there's a cause and there's a

  240. lost generation. And if you're in hospital, talk

  241. to the woman doctor about Jesus. What an opportunity.

  242. But Jesus, I've got to serve you.

  243. You know, when I first got saved, my Christian walk was all

  244. about me. Now, I don't know about you

  245. guys, but I had a lot of things to fix up.

  246. And if you talk to my wife, I've probably still got a few.

  247. I had some addictions. Alcohol plagued my life.

  248. How do I overcome that swearing, mate?

  249. You know, I just took the swearing out of my day.

  250. I'd save 1/2 hour out of every day in my conversations.

  251. There was so much of it there. Who's been there by three of us.

  252. Oh my. Through my behold.

  253. I had a whole heap of issues. We had a marriage to get back.

  254. Anne was walking out on me. She'd had enough of me.

  255. Mate. I was a workaholic.

  256. I'd built and owned my own home. By the time I was 24, I was a

  257. workaholic. 80 nowadays were nothing, 6-7 day weeks, you

  258. know, she was walking out. I had a marriage to get back on

  259. deck. I had a life.

  260. I, I had mental health issues like you'd never believed.

  261. Depression plagued my life. It was all about me fixing my

  262. life up, developing a prayer life, learning how to read the

  263. Bible. I mean going to church, let

  264. alone tithing. I mean, I was used to putting to

  265. Bob at the time on the plate, you know, tithing.

  266. I had all of these issues to fix up and what we did, we enjoy

  267. internship to Dan and Anne. This young couple messed up

  268. still trying to get his act together and look holy.

  269. Couldn't string 2 words together unless a profanity come out.

  270. We interned in internship, it was called Bible college.

  271. You know, did two years of it. You know that two years if

  272. you're in a place where I mean, you need to get your butt into

  273. going to say that you need to get along to internship, you

  274. need to learn the ways of God. And in that our pastor, Kevin

  275. Dales, he'd sent us our door knock and he he would go and do

  276. outreach meetings and he he taught us that it wasn't just

  277. about me, God, church, my mum. I was a Roman Catholic, six kids

  278. in our family. And one thing we learned was it

  279. wasn't about me and it's not about you.

  280. And you give your life to Jesus. Jesus wants to put you on a

  281. journey of miracles. He wants to take you on a

  282. journey that's beyond your furthest expectation.

  283. We never knew what God would do with us when we weren't along

  284. That time. I remember saying to my pastor,

  285. pastor, I'll fix your windows up because I did 20 years of

  286. engineering. I'll do this and that, but don't

  287. never ask me to preach. What did he do?

  288. He just didn't listen. He put us on a journey and a

  289. journey was the cause of God and we grew and we developed and,

  290. and, and, but the time came when I realized that if I didn't

  291. embrace the call of God and the cause of Christ, my faith, the

  292. one that Christ designed of saving souls and seeing miracles

  293. and life transformed, If I didn't do that, my life would

  294. become introverted. My faith would become stale.

  295. It would become all about me. I wouldn't learn.

  296. I wouldn't have had to hear the cry of the poor.

  297. I have a critical heart to those who are less off.

  298. Oh well, if you worked hard, you'd have a job and you'd have

  299. a house. You know how we can get

  300. self-righteous? I knew that would happen to me

  301. very quickly, very, very quickly.

  302. And today, if your faith all revolves around you, I'm sorry.

  303. It's just going to get boring. And if you're happy with that,

  304. we're going to have a prayer meeting later.

  305. We'll pray for you because the adventures in God are far

  306. greater than you could ever expect.

  307. The joy that comes over your life is just amazing.

  308. My boss said to me one time I when I was a chaplain, I, I work

  309. for Australia's biggest logistic company.

  310. We had our own aeroplanes, our own ships, our own trucks.

  311. We had mining happening also. And I remember I was in Saint

  312. Kilda Rd. at our head office up at level 12 in Saint Kilda Road

  313. and we were doing a par, what they call APAR.

  314. It's a performance review. We had to do them every six

  315. months to be able to justify why we should be employed as a

  316. chaplain. And my boss said to me in front

  317. of everybody, oh, Dan, what do you want to do with your life?

  318. Pastor Graham, this is true. What do you want to do with your

  319. life? And I and I, I looked at Ruth.

  320. We were talking yesterday on the phone, and I looked at Ruth.

  321. I said, Ruth, I want to change the world.

  322. And she looked at me, Henry. And you can see this patronizing

  323. smile come on her face. And she, you want to change the

  324. world? And I said, yeah, I do.

  325. How are you going to do that? Then I said, easy, Ruth, just

  326. one person at a time. Just one person.

  327. That's all you've got to do. That's all you got to do.

  328. When you go to work, say hello to someone, ask me for a cup of

  329. coffee, just one person at a time.

  330. So I tell this story. I, I train mental health first

  331. aid people in industry and I go into workplaces and train and I

  332. told a story because see, today you can pick up a lot of

  333. knowledge. You can pick up revelation and

  334. the training I do, the people can pick up a lot of know how.

  335. But I said the most important thing you're going to pick up

  336. today is not knowledge is not knowledge.

  337. So I told a story. A man was walking through life

  338. one day as all of us, and that man ended up falling in a rut

  339. like most of us have been. And that rut could be a broken

  340. marriage. It could be depression.

  341. Could Do you realize, do we have 10 people sitting across here?

  342. Do you realize statistics tell us today that 20%, one people in

  343. five is suffering and anyone here is suffering from a form of

  344. mental illness That means there's two people in every row.

  345. Two people. One thing I know about mental is

  346. a very lonely way to go. Do you remember 13.6% of boys,

  347. young boys today in Australia are registered with the NDIS.

  348. They told me there's not a need out there, it's everywhere.

  349. This man was walking through life and he fell in this rut and

  350. he's yelling out like most people help.

  351. Can somebody please hear my voice, can help me?

  352. And time would go by and you'd keep yelling out.

  353. Can anyone help me? Please help me.

  354. I'm in a rut. I'm stuck.

  355. I'm stuck, I'm stuck. And this is what the world is

  356. saying. Please help me.

  357. I'm stuck, I'm stuck. And they know they're stuck.

  358. They know they're stuck. But they don't know how to get

  359. out of the rut. And one day this Christian guy

  360. walks around and he hears his voice, Help, Please, someone

  361. help me. So he jumps in the rut with this

  362. guy. And the guy in the rut said,

  363. well, you'd be a bright spark, wouldn't you?

  364. Now both of us are in the rut. And the Christian guy said,

  365. yeah, I know, but I've been in the rut and I know the way out

  366. and we can walk out together. And I try to teach them in

  367. industry. I tell them I'm a pastor.

  368. I said you've got to get a heart for people because if you get a

  369. don't have a heart for people, everything else I'm going to say

  370. from here is not worth a cinch to you.

  371. This is the cause of Christ in Luke chapter 4, Jesus said, for

    Luke 4 chapter mention

  372. the spirit of the Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me

  373. to preach the gospel to the poor.

  374. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim

  375. liberty to the captives, to open the prison to those who are

  376. bound to the recovery of sight, to those who are blind, and to

  377. preach that this is the acceptable year of the Lord.

  378. And friends, today, 2026 is an acceptable year for you and I to

  379. say, today I want to stand up with Christ.

  380. Today I'm in a rut. And today I want to give my life

  381. to Jesus Christ because I've tried everything else.

  382. Do you realize that hell has a theme song that everyone in hell

  383. sings and it's called I Did it My Way and I did it my way for

  384. 33 years? And man with all the hope I

  385. wanted was taking me nowhere to one night full of alcohol.

  386. My wife was walking out drunk, walked out the backyard of

  387. Marillion Harbor and said, Jesus, come into my life, be my

  388. Lord and say forgive my sins because I give my life to you.

  389. I've been in the rut, been in the rut.

  390. Maybe there's people here today. You're in a rut, you're stuck,

  391. you're stuck. You don't know the way out,

  392. you're hurting, you're broken. You've tried this, you've tried.

  393. I've tried everything to counsellors.

  394. My I was on medication in grade 4 at school, deep rut for a lot

  395. of years to one night I said, Jesus, come into my life.

  396. If that's you today, come on. If that's you today, how would

  397. you just slip your head up and say, Dan, I want to accept

  398. Jesus. Come on, cross this all the

  399. time. How many?

  400. There's one down there. Thank you.

  401. Is there another one? Come on.

  402. There's got to be. There's no one.

  403. Come on. Is there any more?

  404. You know, you need to get you're in a rut, mate.

  405. You're stuck. You're stuck.

  406. I said to Jesus that day. Jesus, mate, I'm going to be a

  407. liability to you. But if you ever accept me,

  408. accept the consequences they accept to me, I'll do anything

  409. for you. That's you today.

  410. Is there another person here I get to?

  411. Is there another person? Come on.

  412. Oh, thank you. Thank you, man.

  413. This is the best thing you've done.

  414. The best thing you've done. God can change your life today.

  415. You'll change your life. You'll come in and it'll be

  416. slow. I tell people, they come to me.

  417. The addicts come to me. I said it'll work.

  418. You just got to give me 12 months.

  419. You just got to give me 12 months.

  420. If we walk together, 12 months. Songs, you're honest with peace.

  421. Songs, you're honest with God. Doesn't matter.

  422. God's seen it all. He's seen it all.

  423. That's all right. He'd buy you out, lock stock and

  424. barrel, pay your debts. It'll take you on.

  425. So if that's you today, if you're very, how about we all

  426. pray this prayer together? Come on all together as a

  427. church. Let's help these new people.

  428. Dear Jesus, I asked you to come into my life today.

  429. I asked you to forgive my sins. I ask you to set me free and I

  430. ask you to give me a new life in Jesus name.

  431. Amen. Now, if you've prayed that

  432. prayer, there's some people we'll see you outside.

  433. I'm not finished yet. Don't.

  434. Did I say something to everyone's name?

  435. It's about the cause is about what you carry.

  436. It's about what you carry. I carry the Kingdom of God in

  437. me. The Kingdom of God is

  438. righteousness, is joy, it's peace and it's power and the

  439. Holy Ghost, it's what you're carrying.

  440. Anne and I, we were two year ago, we were on, you know, those

  441. long boats you have in Europe, you go up to the rivers.

  442. We're going up one again this year.

  443. But like a couple of year ago we were on one going up the up the

  444. Rhine River and we're just doing our thing as a couple.

  445. But always knowing, always knowing that you carry the

  446. Kingdom. You are a representative of the

  447. Kingdom, no matter whether you're on holidays where you

  448. are. And and we were sitting at this

  449. table and this Catholic couple beside us and me being an old

  450. Catholic, see the it's on the cross and said grace.

  451. And of course, I couldn't help myself and my hands under the

  452. table cringing. Oh, you're Catholics.

  453. Hey. Good.

  454. Yeah. Yeah.

  455. You're a Catholic. Yeah, I was, but I'm not.

  456. Now. I'm a pastor.

  457. Now stir it all up. Little did we know there's

  458. people in the table beside us because those boats, they're

  459. only 150 long. You have 150 people.

  460. Everything's spirit is squashy. And we know there's people in

  461. the table next to us. They heard it.

  462. So we finished our meal, hopped up next with this couple next to

  463. us. They come over, said, oh, we

  464. heard that you're Christians, do you mind if we have a meal with

  465. you? Because we would.

  466. We just need to talk to someone. Oh yeah, not a problem, haven't

  467. we? Then the word got around the

  468. boat. The word got around the bunch.

  469. The next man, Anne, Anne's a lady with the the diary.

  470. She, she's my managing director. The war of the Minister of War

  471. Finance isn't every good idea. And so she's almost filming

  472. there. People are lining up.

  473. People are lining up. Can we have a meal with you?

  474. And we had a broken lady come, people come.

  475. And I thought, geez, this is a good gig.

  476. We could get on to say permanent.

  477. As pastors travel the world with them, friend, the world is

  478. crying out and the world needs you.

  479. The world needs you. But not only that, the Christ in

  480. you, the Christ in you needs to see miracles through you.

  481. The Christ in you is crying out for you and I to take this

  482. gospel message to a broken world.

  483. This is the cause of Christ. The Christ in you hungers.

  484. The Christ in you hungers to see revival throw through you, the

  485. Christ in you and I and wants to see you and I move in the gifts

  486. and the power of the Holy Ghost. Young people, you're starting

  487. your life. You're starting your journey.

  488. You're many years ahead of you and God's not saying don't go to

  489. uni, not saying don't get a degree in medicine and actual

  490. fact he's saying do that. But when you're in the operating

  491. field, you pray of your hands and Lord, these hands are

  492. anointed. The school teachers here, you've

  493. got a whole generation. Our daughter, amazing woman of

  494. God, this is how it works. She is in a school head of

  495. curriculum. And they had a right in one of

  496. the school rooms. A little 7 year old just went

  497. ballistic, throwing chairs, tables, Everything Everywhere.

  498. The teacher and the teachers help.

  499. They just got out. The principal, he got out and

  500. they called Renee when I went into this room, she stood in

  501. front of this the classroom, this kids going ballistic and

  502. she just started to sing a hum Sorry, Amazing Grace.

  503. That's all she did just hummed Amazing Grace and the anointing

  504. flowed from her. And next month, this kids put

  505. everything down, sitting down in a chair, Quiet.

  506. You carry that. Come on.

  507. There's there's no you must say, Dan, I'm not smart.

  508. Well, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer either.

  509. But one thing I do know, you haven't got to know much.

  510. You you just got to know that you carry the gift of God over

  511. your life and that you are the salt of the earth.

  512. You are the light unto the world.

  513. You do have the answer, it's just within you.

  514. And maybe your starting point today is giving your life to

  515. Jesus. That was my starting point.

  516. Maybe your next point is going up and seeing Pastor Graham

  517. Mountain. So you know what?

  518. After this morning, I need to get into internship because I

  519. need to understand the Word of God.

  520. I need to understand what? I need to know how to share my

  521. faith. I need to know how to say my

  522. testimony. I need to know how to do it so

  523. that God can use me in a bigger and a greater way.

  524. We didn't start off growing good.

  525. We started off getting our marriage together.

  526. About five years after that, we were pastoring a church.

  527. After that we were pastoring. Why?

  528. Because it became the sunum bonum.

  529. And if I had a problem and would say to me, would you best go and

  530. talk to Jesus about that mate. Jesus.

  531. Ever tried to fight with Jesus? I know times.

  532. Goodbye. I fought with Jesus one day.

  533. I've had a couple of spouts with him, a mate.

  534. I've been punched to the ground a few times in my life and I

  535. know Jesus. It's harder.

  536. A few year back I got quite ill and had to retire from local

  537. church pastoring and I got a gig as a consultant in the mining

  538. industry. And I was fighting with God and

  539. I was annoyed with God because I believe that.

  540. I believe that ministries were positioned.

  541. I was a senior pastor and that was going to be that for life.

  542. But then God wanted to move me. See, some of us, some of the

  543. burdens we carry are our careers.

  544. The average person today is going to have six careers in

  545. their work time. Did you realize that I'm a life

  546. coach, career coach, 6 careers, we hold them and.

  547. And I didn't realize that God wanted to make me more effective

  548. in different areas. And so I was a consultant in the

  549. mining and they'd shift me around from mine to mine in New

  550. South Wales and Queensland. And one day I was standing in

  551. the master room where we have a toolbox before we go

  552. underground, and I was all dressed up to go underground and

  553. fighting with God. God, you could have your

  554. ministry. I don't want to talk to you,

  555. bro. And he spoke to me in my heart.

  556. And there was three guys sitting on the chair across the way.

  557. You need to go and talk to those three guys.

  558. I said no, I can do that. Some of us today were saying no,

  559. the same as I was, but the voice persisted 3 times.

  560. The third times, you know? Have you ever been there?

  561. Yeah. OK.

  562. It's like talking to your eyes. Yeah, OK, That's what you want.

  563. So I did it with a bad attitude. And if I go across with all of

  564. these, walking through all these miners, I realized that miners

  565. don't die. They just smell like they did,

  566. you know? Oh, mate.

  567. But anyway, I get to the other side and there's three guys

  568. sitting on this bench and they're talking stuff and just

  569. stuff. Next minute two of the guys

  570. hopped up and walked away and there was one guy left there.

  571. I thought, oh geez, this is going to be great, what I'm

  572. going to talk about now, John. That only upped their feet and

  573. went down to the drifty ready to go underground.

  574. And this guy looked at me and he said, do you know who I am?

  575. And with my very graceful attitude, I didn't swear, OK?

  576. I said no mate, I don't really know who you are.

  577. He said I'm your nephew. I'm your nephew.

  578. With that, he hopped up in front of all of these miners.

  579. Now, miners don't cry in front of their horse.

  580. I mean, they don't do this intimate stuff.

  581. With that, he just hugged me and hugged me and hugged me and

  582. hugged me. See, I didn't realize just

  583. before that a month before that his mother and father had

  584. disowned him. He had no one but see, this is

  585. the cause of Christ. And this has gone back some

  586. years now. Christmas time this year.

  587. He, he, he rings me up. Now we talk for hours on the

  588. phone about Jesus and he lives in Mackay, teaches at the

  589. university there. Smart young guy.

  590. You see, he had no one. When you come across those

  591. people every day of the week, they get no one.

  592. You're the light, you see, You are the salt of the earth.

  593. This is the cause of Christ. This is don't, Jesus said don't

  594. be afraid of their faces. I've seen my face, some of the

  595. photos of my face before I saved it.

  596. It looked like the back of a bus.

  597. I'm telling you, it didn't look real pretty because I was

  598. carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders.

  599. And the people you meet are the same.

  600. Some of them are rich, some of them have got power, some of

  601. them have got authority. But they're still in a rut and

  602. they're crying out for you and I.

  603. You can do it. You know, Victoria, on the

  604. workplace, there's men there. Every day you meet them.

  605. Driving down to Brisbane, praying.

  606. Father, he got open the door today.

  607. Just one. That's all I want.

  608. I just want one. How do you change the world?

  609. Just one person. Eli, you're here today for a

  610. reason. Just one.

  611. Just one. Just one.

  612. Don't be afraid of them. Just one.

  613. Because you have the truth. You don't have a truth.

  614. You have the truth. So this morning we're going to

  615. stand. And if that's you today, say,

  616. Dan, I want my 2026 to be the one where I see miracles.

  617. I want 2026 to be the one where I embrace the cause.

  618. I want 2026. I want to pay the price.

  619. I'm going to cast off the burdens and I'm going to grab a

  620. hold of this. I'm going to run with endurance.

  621. This race. I'm going to run with endurance.

  622. I'm going to put off disappointments.

  623. I'm going to put off whatever it may be, and I'm going to grab

  624. it. Going to stand.

  625. And if that's you, I want you to come to the front today.

  626. Come on, come on, come on, you slackos.

  627. If you're a slacker, wives, if your husband's a slacker, give

  628. him a kick. Tell him to come to the front.

  629. No, just if. If that's you today.

  630. Thank you, Sir. In fact, come on.

  631. In fact, Jesus will take you on an adventure that you never,

  632. ever dreamt possible. Or will you fail?

  633. Yeah, you will. But you're failing now.

  634. Better to fail for Jesus. Will you pray for people and

  635. every one of them get healed? No, unfortunately.

  636. Will everybody accept your testimony?

  637. No, unfortunately they won't. But I'll tell you what, You only

  638. need one. You only need one.

  639. And you've changed the world. That's all you need there.

  640. That's all you need. You only need the 1.

  641. You only need the one. Come on.

  642. Those guys down there in Melbourne and they're buffets,

  643. aren't they? But they need Jesus.

  644. They're good buffets. They need Jesus, don't they?

  645. They need steam. He's going to carry a message.

  646. God's touched your life. He's touched it for a reason,

  647. not just to make you feel better about yourself.

  648. He's touched it for a reason because there's a heap of people

  649. out there. He wants to use you to touch.

  650. That's why he's done it, Thomas. He's going to use you.

  651. Pull your shoulders back. Come on.

  652. Stand up straight. Pull your shoulders back.

  653. Why? Because you're a representative

  654. of the Kingdom of God. And your words do mean things.

  655. Your words do have power. Your words do have freedom.

  656. Your words do have liberty. They do.

  657. They do. Come on, Gordon, you're not in

  658. your job traveling over Australia and New Zealand for

  659. nothing. You are a traveling evangelist

  660. disguised and somebody selling medical equipment.

  661. That's what you are. You are a travelling evangelist.

  662. You carry the Kingdom of God within you.

  663. And God wants to he. He wants you to start laying

  664. hands on people. He wants you to see you start

  665. seeing miracles. Come on, it's a time to fast.

  666. It's a time to say come on, come on you young people, you've

  667. never been up dry gullies before.

  668. Isn't that a blessing? Hey, your whole life is fresh in

  669. you say God today with my education, Lord, I want to be

  670. able to change the world just one at a time.

  671. Come on Father, today of every person out here this morning,

  672. Lord, I pray you stir the gift of God within them.

  673. Lord, to stir the gift of God to stir the power of God over their

  674. lives. Lord, let them be a beacon.

  675. Lord, let them be the light. God over.

  676. Jess. Oh, Jess.

  677. Jess. God wants to open your eyes to

  678. what's out there. New Horizons.

  679. It's got to be new. It's got to be interesting.

  680. It's got to be miraculous. Father, today over this couple.

  681. Come on YouTube. You've been married for a lot of

  682. years. Oh jeez, a lot of years and

  683. God's going to use that testimony to get around young

  684. people, to be able to get around people who are broken, who don't

  685. know how to do marriage, who don't know how to do

  686. relationship. God today over their lives,

  687. Lord, let the anointing, let the anointing and the power of God

  688. rest upon them, rest upon them, rest upon them.

  689. Come on, you got to start getting more radical, girl.

  690. You too get too brim and proper. Get too brim and proper.

  691. Start dancing on the tables. God put a song in your heart.

  692. Come on, come on as you go. As a school chaplain, you got to

  693. take something to those young people.

  694. They're going to touch their hearts and their lives with the

  695. Kingdom of Godfather. Let these hands be hands of

  696. miracles today. Let it be hands of miracles

  697. today. Holy Ghost over these hand

  698. miracles, miracles, miracles, miracles, miracles, miracles.

  699. Oh, you're going to speak a word and cease.

  700. And to him who is weary and you're going to hear specific

  701. words and people are going to go home after you've preached

  702. Pastor Melanie and they're going to say there's something she

  703. said today. And it's going to be 1 phrase.

  704. It's going to be 1 phrase. And the power that God's going

  705. to put on that one phrase is going to change people's whole

  706. paradigm of life, to set people on new directions.

  707. Father, let it rest upon a life today.

  708. Come on, Henry, you're a brickie.

  709. You know what it is to build a house 1 brick at a time.

  710. You know what it is to lift the weight of the brick.

  711. You've learned endurance. You've learned endurance.

  712. You've never been as smart. You've never been as

  713. knowledgeable. You've never been as wise.

  714. Don't hide it. Don't hide it.

  715. Speak it out. Speak it out with power.

  716. Speak it out with power in Jesus name.

  717. Gordon and Rachel, it's time for you to cut the past off.

  718. Go on, Rachel, time to cut the past off.

  719. God and Rachel, there's some relationships you need to cut.

  720. You need to cut. They're not healthy for you.

  721. They're going to stop you from growing up.

  722. They're going to stop you from maturing.

  723. You need to step out of that world.

  724. You need to step into the world of maturity.

  725. You need to take the load of the anointing, the load of the

  726. Kingdom, the cause of God and go out with authority and power in

  727. Jesus name. Come on, give me your hand.

  728. Come on this week you need to lay start laying hands on

  729. people. It's going to sound stupid and

  730. there's some are not going to get touched, but by G you get

  731. one in every 50. That's worth it, worth it.

  732. Endurance father over these hands.

  733. Let them be healing hands, healing hands today thought in

  734. the name of Jesus, Jesus name. Well, we better close this

  735. meeting. We've gone over time Victoria of

  736. you. And so as you're looking at

  737. retirement, don't get the definition from the Oxford

  738. dictionary. Get it from Hebrews 11.

  739. What does, what does retirement mean?

  740. People say to me, oh, you're retired?

  741. And everyone laughs. Oh what?

  742. No, it still starts his day. It's 3:00 in the morning.

  743. Wait, you're retired? Why?

  744. Because I've got things to do, place to go, people.

  745. See. So he's going to read, he's

  746. going to be re firing you. Re firing you.

  747. He's going to be re firing you. So put the old off.

  748. He's kept you alive this long for a reason.

  749. The days ahead of you are far greater than the days have past

  750. you that have gone past. They've gone past past John.

  751. Forget the dyslexia. Forget it.

  752. I got it too. It's been my power, mate.

  753. It's been my power. I may not read a lot of the

  754. Bible, but I tell you what, I might read one verse a month,

  755. but that one verse a month changes the world.

  756. Don't get hung up on it. Don't get hung up on it.

  757. Get hung up on the call and the purposes and the power of God.

  758. Come on, there's a whole new world waiting for you.

  759. But you got to be prepared to change, and it takes energy to

  760. change. I'm an engineer, I know takes

  761. energy to change water into steam takes energy.

  762. It's going to take you energy, but you got to prepare to do

  763. some things differently. Oh no, the old.

  764. No, the old thing's got you where you are today, and that's

  765. good. That's not going to work for

  766. tomorrow. Some new ideas, new stuff, new

  767. stuff, new stuff, new stuff. Father, touch their lives, touch

  768. their lives, touch their lives. Touch the schools.

  769. I see you guys starting Bible studies in your schools.

  770. I see you guys starting Bible studies.

  771. I see you guys starting in the universe.

  772. I see you starting stuff in university, the strawberry

  773. grower. Your days are growing

  774. strawberries are over, but your days for growing people are not.

  775. Make your voice heard. There's some good stuff in

  776. there. You need to open up that voice

  777. and let it out. You need to let it out.

  778. You need to have confidence in yourself.

  779. You're more than a strawberry grower.

  780. Jesus said to the disciples, Come follow me and I'll make you

  781. fishermen of men. And that's what he wants to make

  782. you, a fisherman of bed. Got good stuff in you, but don't

  783. put it under a bushel, don't hide it, don't hide it, Don't

  784. hide it, don't hide it, don't hide it.

  785. And those guys in that government job, they need a move

  786. of God. They're style, they're boring

  787. and they're stuck. And he's got you in that job for

  788. a reason. Don't get him cranky with you

  789. because you're not doing your job.

  790. You've got to take the call of God into that workplace.

  791. Father, today we thank you for this meeting.

  792. We pray this great awakening Lord would brood in our hearts

  793. tonight. It would brood in every soul

  794. that would wake us up during the night and stir our hearts afresh

  795. to see a greater move. A greater move.

  796. Father Day, let this message, let it be your word that births

  797. as in the day of creation. Lord it be the author and the

  798. finisher of our year, our perfector of our year, this year

  799. in Jesus name, Amen. Amen.

  800. Amen. Amen.

  801. Can you come down here for a moment, Holy Ghost?

  802. I just want to do this quickly before we close, and I want to

  803. do it here and now because it's important for the whole church

  804. to hear. So Graham Mountain, you can just

  805. stand really close together and hold your hands.

  806. I want us as a church to just extend your hand towards this

  807. couple. Now I know somewhere on your

  808. calendar you have a commissioning somewhere there,

  809. whatever that is. As I was praying this morning,

  810. God said to me that it's not a matter of commissioning people,

  811. but He's decided to recommission this church and He's putting His

  812. stamp upon it like He's never put it on before.

  813. It's a corporate recommissioning of this place.

  814. He's putting His grace upon this place in a greater measure than

  815. it's ever been before. And I don't feel to share too

  816. much more. And then I I just want God to

  817. unfold that as time goes forward.

  818. But he says prepare your hearts because over this house is going

  819. to come an outpouring of grace because of his cause and his

  820. commissioning. So let us all pray for what God

  821. wants to do in 2026, because He's begun a good work.

  822. Father, Father, let the anointing the Eunice the grace.

  823. Lord another level in the spirit.

  824. Father, over their lives, over the ministry of this church,

  825. over Pastor Graham, over Pastor Melanie.

  826. Lord, today a new authority. Lord, a new authority, a new

  827. word. Father, today as we team beside

  828. them and come alongside, Father, Lord over this church.

  829. Lord, today we pray, let that grace a grace for growth and

  830. grace for enlargement, a grace for maturity.

  831. Father, today let a new level of the Holy Ghost rest upon them

  832. and upon their church. Today in this church.

  833. Lord in this church and bribey Lord, in the name of Jesus let

  834. it rest growth increase Jesus name.
