  1. Lot of water in this and one little thing blocking the flow

  2. and this just came to me before. That little thing is often this

  3. little thing and God wants to do something amazing, but because

  4. of our stinking, thinking, wrong doctrines with theology, we are

  5. blocking the flow of God. And this month, faith, love,

  6. hope You've seen the theme with what passes Rages did with our

  7. tithes and offerings. We're going to break this open.

  8. We're going to reform, get some transformation because because

  9. this starts to move. You know what's about to happen

  10. as we shift. It starts with the drop, then

  11. financial blessing, and then the sound guy just gets a bit upset.

  12. It's OK, we'll pass the right and we'll fix that during the

  13. week. But here's the reality.

  14. Church is I just use it. You know, water we often refer

  15. to as Holy Spirit. OK, but we're talking about

  16. money. Can you see it?

  17. See, because God wants to do things on the planet and the

  18. Spirit moves in all power and authority.

  19. But that comes through you and I, and I'll prove this in a

  20. moment through the Scriptures. It's found in the very first

  21. book, first chapter of our Bible.

  22. And so God created man and women and he said have dominion over

  23. everything. And you might go, yeah, but

  24. that's not talking about money. Well, it was actually because it

  25. started with animals, trade currency.

  26. And so he said we as the church as his children are that have

  27. dominion over all things of the earth.

  28. Why? Because when we have dominion

  29. get here, this when we have dominion, the will of God is

  30. outworked through his creation, you and I.

  31. And so although the the bottle is the contains the water of the

  32. Holy Spirit, I'm not saying we are the Holy Spirit.

  33. But what I'm saying is God's will is to work through you and

  34. I, and you've heard this saying before, if he can get it through

  35. you, he will get it to you. Often we will live in poverty

  36. and scarcity because God can't get anything through us because

  37. of the lid on the bottle. And today, in this month, we are

  38. going to change the way we look at money and no longer cower at

  39. these messages once a year when we to come around faith, love,

  40. home. But this is going to be the best

  41. season of the church every year because we have dominion over

  42. these things. We learn the power to use these

  43. things to see God's will outworked on planet Earth.

  44. Let me tell you, it starts with a miracle service flyer that we

  45. have to pay for the ink in our printer because I don't get them

  46. professionally printed. I do it myself.

  47. It's to save money. But we we will get to a point

  48. where it's not just paying the bills, but it's paying for the

  49. whole mission of what we do in society.

  50. She rescue home doesn't pay for itself in Cambodia, every

  51. project doesn't pay for itself. It's coming out of the church.

  52. Everything we do, We got hundreds here at youth every

  53. Friday night. It's it doesn't pay for itself.

  54. But we are transforming the world around us.

  55. And we're at a point at the as a church, we can't do it any

  56. longer with the limited finances we have.

  57. We have to get into alignment with the word of God that says

  58. the shirts should be tithing and when we all tithe 10%, if you

  59. work, you should be tithing because it's not.

  60. It's not even about obedience. It's not about, it's not about

  61. law, Old Testament, New Testament, it's all about

  62. worship. And this is what we get to is

  63. when we realise, like we saw in the video today, that we're just

  64. giving back to God. Why do we give back our tithe?

  65. Because if he can get it through us, he will get it to us.

  66. Does this that make sense? And listen, if he can get it

  67. through you, then you get to live in the blessing.

  68. That's called overflow, Amen. And so if you can get it through

  69. my life, I get to live in that blessing as well.

  70. Isn't that amazing? And so this is what this month

  71. is about S church. Can we declare out loud today?

  72. My heart is open, my ears are alert.

  73. I'm going to change and grow and never be the same in Jesus

  74. mighty name, Amen. Please be seated.

  75. I had to keep some in there. Today's message I want to talk

  76. about the spirit of scarcity and we're going to look at breaking

  77. the scarcity spirit now it's good.

  78. Often when we think of this, we can all kind of come around it

  79. when we think, you know, breaking this spirit over the

  80. community. But the reality is, is I want to

  81. break it over my own life. And so because I realise that as

  82. it is broken as scarcity and poverty and and this whole

  83. mindset and spiritual thing that allow around my world, as I

  84. stand in faith and break it, I show other people how to break

  85. it for their own lives. And as the blessing comes

  86. through my life, my prayer is, is that people would pick that

  87. up and see the same breakthrough happen in their own lives.

  88. But if we do this collectively as a church, imagine the

  89. effective it has on the community and imagine if every

  90. church is walking in this, which I'm sure we we all are, and

  91. we're all just breaking the spiritual, like, like hovering

  92. thing over our lives and over our churches.

  93. The church will just come out with all of this missional, you

  94. know, thing within us to see change and transformation, to be

  95. an answer to our world, not just be part of the world.

  96. The Bible says be in the world, but not part of the world.

  97. And so we need to lead society, not be led by society.

  98. Does that make sense? You can live in Caboolture, but

  99. we can change the way Caboolture has historically been all the

  100. way from Bribie all and listen to me all the way to Tigulwa.

  101. You just heard me right now. Just expanded the tent.

  102. So there's a, there's a book that we, as you know, the

  103. platform team are going through and all the leadership will

  104. start to go through shortly called God, Money and Me and

  105. it's Paul by Paul Dejong. And can I encourage you, if

  106. you're a note taker today or just grab your phone out, just

  107. quickly write that down. You can listen to this book on

  108. Audible. God Money and me, God, Money and

  109. Me by Paul Dejong. And this is a transformational

  110. book, audio audio book. Or you can order it.

  111. And it just completely unpacks the Bible and all of its stories

  112. and its financial verses and just breeds light on it so that

  113. we can understand, get our heads around it a little bit, but also

  114. bring ourselves back into alignment.

  115. Because the reality is as life goes on, as as life happens and

  116. the the church evolves through all different cultures and eras,

  117. the the reality is we always got to bring ourselves back into

  118. alignment with the word of God and not just run with culture.

  119. Does that make sense? And so this book will really

  120. help you do that. It's a great tool for this.

  121. I've got 2 scriptures that I want to start with today.

  122. Psalms 23 verse one, just one verse.

  123. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not once when we follow

  124. the shepherd, we no longer have wants in our lives.

  125. Philippians 419 And my God shall supply all my needs, all your

  126. needs according to his riches and his glory by Christ Jesus.

  127. God doesn't supply all your needs according to your riches.

  128. Thank you Jesus, thank you God. Listen, but you got to listen.

  129. You got to hear that God doesn't supply the needs you have in

  130. your life according to the income that your job provides.

  131. That's not what the Scripture is saying.

  132. And so today we're going to learn how to break this open by

  133. 5 points. I'll have coming up in a moment.

  134. Today I want to talk about something that quietly effects

  135. many, many believers. And it's the spirit of scarcity.

  136. Not just lack of money, but a mindset of fear, anxiety, of

  137. striving and never feeling secure.

  138. Scarcity is often spiritual Before it's practical, it's

  139. spiritual. And then we listen to it, then

  140. we Stew on it. So now it's wobbling around in

  141. our brains. And as you Stew on these things,

  142. lack of money coming in this week, too many bills, look at

  143. society, look at what the government's doing.

  144. We're giving away all of our car companies.

  145. What's going on in Australia? Where's our oil, you know,

  146. factories. And we, we Stew on these things.

  147. And what happens is as you Stew, you start to see all the

  148. problems and you start to blame. And then it just comes down and

  149. becomes a heart issue. And So what happens spiritually

  150. in the world around culture? OK, we as the church listen to

  151. Channel 9 every night and we Stew on it, and then it comes

  152. down and starts to dictate and influence our doctrine and our

  153. core belief system. There are many people who earn

  154. enough but still feel trapped. They constantly worry,

  155. constantly compare, and constantly fear the future.

  156. They may have provision in their hand, but poverty in their

  157. hearts. The Holy Scripture teaches us

  158. that money is never just about money.

  159. And this is what we are getting to the bottom of over this, this

  160. month and next month. It exposes trust.

  161. It reveals belief systems and it uncovers where our security

  162. truly sits. And you might say, well, well,

  163. how does that re reveal my belief system?

  164. Well, when the bill comes in, do you say, oh man, we don't have

  165. the money for that just revealed your belief system.

  166. So if I go back to the other verse that I just read earlier,

  167. we aren't dictated to by the the paycheck, but we walk in his

  168. riches and his glory. And so we know what's dictating

  169. to us by our response to the situations around us and the

  170. things that come into our world. And on the kitchen table.

  171. Our response to that shows who who really rules this part of

  172. our life. The issue is not always what is

  173. your bank account? The deeper issue is often, what

  174. thoughts have I believed about provision?

  175. I'm not a prosperity preacher, but I believe the church should

  176. be walking in prosperity. Does that make sense?

  177. Lack thinking sounds like there's never enough.

  178. I'm always behind. Someone else gets blessed, but

  179. not me. I'll never get ahead.

  180. I have to protect myself because no one else will.

  181. That's not the language of sonship.

  182. It's the language of slavery. I'm getting like today, any sons

  183. in the house, women you can put your hands up to.

  184. That means you. We are sons and daughters of the

  185. supplier of all our needs according to His riches and

  186. glory. That's who my Father is.

  187. Amen. Let's look at five thoughts from

  188. Scripture and reframe our thinking and our belief systems

  189. today about how God wants us to approach our finances.

  190. When we talk in the church about money, about finances and about

  191. tithing, your spirit needs to leap with joy because what we

  192. are saying is, hey, church, we're going to craft how we're

  193. going to use these things in our life to bring glory to God, not

  194. to obtain bigger houses and more riches and and best cars and all

  195. of this. It's not to line our pockets,

  196. but it's to see more of earth go to heaven.

  197. It's to influence our world for good and for God #1 The shepherd

  198. breaks scarcity, David says in Psalms 23.

  199. One, the Lord is my shepherd, and I shall not once notice

  200. David connects provision to relationship.

  201. The Lord is my shepherd. Before David mentions provision,

  202. peace or protection, he identifies who is leading him,

  203. Who is leading him. He always runs back to the the

  204. Lord is my provider. The Lord is my protector.

  205. The Lord is my shield. I shall not once.

  206. When God is your shepherd, fear loses its authority and lack

  207. loses its authority over your life.

  208. Scarcity thrives wherever trust in God weakens.

  209. God never intended money to become a master or our source of

  210. identity. Money is a tool, but God is the

  211. source. That's good, isn't it?

  212. Money, Church is our tool. It's what we use to do things,

  213. to work on planet earth, to feed our our families, yes, but also

  214. to outwork the mission. But we have to remember

  215. businesses, just because you have money coming through, you

  216. aren't the source. God is the source of the

  217. blessing. The money coming through is the

  218. tools to outwork the mission of God.

  219. If you're in this place and you've got above the average

  220. income in your world, don't think that your own hands are

  221. making your wealth. You've got to remember who the

  222. source always is. And when we forget the source,

  223. the things our hands are making will start to weary and go dim

  224. in our lives. This is true in your life and in

  225. the church as well. Many believers say God is my

  226. provider, but emotionally they live as though everything

  227. depends entirely on themselves and on the bank balance.

  228. We do this, don't we? Like like we don't want to talk

  229. about money, but we leave every single day getting our phone

  230. out, checking the Commonwealth app or the the the NAB app Don't

  231. we do this at least once to twice, if not 30 times a day.

  232. You go to get a coffee. What comes out first, making

  233. sure money is in the right account.

  234. Everything we do on planet Earth, your rent, your fuel,

  235. which you need a lot of money in that account at the moment, your

  236. diesel, what everything you do, if you're having a birthday,

  237. someone's paying for that cake and you want extra money for the

  238. candles, right? It's a literally everything we

  239. do. We look so good here today

  240. because we all have haircuts, right?

  241. It costs money. Just everything we brushed our

  242. teeth. I've smelt your breath this

  243. morning. I said hi there, so many people,

  244. we all brushed our teeth. Toothpaste, money.

  245. Money is everything all the time in our world.

  246. We need to switch the tables and start to have dominion over it

  247. rather than it having dominion over us.

  248. It's telling us what our shopping is like too much.

  249. We need to start to tell it what we are going to shop like.

  250. Does that make sense it we need to tell it with the church

  251. should not struggle for miracle Flyers, but we should be going.

  252. We are getting professionally done miracle Flyers so that we

  253. can use our printer for the other things for youth on Friday

  254. night because they needed it as well.

  255. Our resources. We should never have a lack.

  256. Did you know I don't know if you've ever done that.

  257. I would love you to do this if you would do this.

  258. Go home and just say in this auditorium today there's

  259. probably, I don't know, 220 people and there's about 55

  260. kids. So if there's 220 people, you've

  261. got to think there's about 180 people in this auditorium right

  262. now who actually work, get the award wage on 180 people and do

  263. what the tithe is, right? And then if you look at that and

  264. then you get a small Church of 50 people, OK, And then you work

  265. out, probably 40 of those people would be working.

  266. So they would be tithing if we're following the principles

  267. of the scriptures. And then if you get a mega

  268. Church of 3000 people, OK, and maybe 2200 something like that

  269. are working, and then you work out their tithe according to the

  270. minimum wage. What you will realise is God's

  271. plan of the tithe works whether you're a fifty person church or

  272. whether you're a 10,000 person church with all their expenses

  273. and bills and everything in the mission that they're trying to

  274. do. Because 10,000 people churches

  275. do crazy things like build homes and schools in Cambodia, right?

  276. Well, 50 people churches do crazy things for their church

  277. like print out flies and get signs for services coming up and

  278. things like that to impact their community and do breakfasts and

  279. all that sort of stuff. The reality is, is the church

  280. tithed because only about 2.5% of the average church does

  281. tithe. If the church typed, which

  282. should be around 80% for workers, the church would have

  283. so much money right That no matter the size church bills

  284. would never be an issue. Staffing in proportion to sizing

  285. would never be an issue and we would be doing the the missional

  286. things that God places on the heart of the pastor because that

  287. works within the size and the next era of where the church

  288. which is currently at. That's just if the church tide

  289. that's not with offerings on top offerings is like faith, love,

  290. hope that we're coming around right now it's an offering

  291. season where we go. You know what God on all of our

  292. increase. We're going to give you more on

  293. an increase. Why Because my hands didn't

  294. bring the increase your blessing and favour brought my increase.

  295. Does this make sense? I would love you just around the

  296. table. Get your kids and get the

  297. calculators out and do these sumps and you will see where the

  298. church worldwide currently is AT and why the church should be

  299. having dominion over the earth. But right now, governments have

  300. dominion over the earth. But the church is where the

  301. money should be flowing out of where schools should be flowing

  302. out of where universities should be flowing.

  303. Does this make sense? This is God's plan.

  304. And so in the book of Genesis, when he he said a man have

  305. dominion over the earth, this is what he was talking about.

  306. But it requires our partnership with his plan and his model.

  307. Does this make sense? And so This is why this should

  308. be an exciting time of year for you and I.

  309. So how do we change? We change by changing who we

  310. trust. You overcome scarcity when you

  311. stop looking first to the economy.

  312. And I'm blown away. I'm blown away.

  313. We all know that Mel and I just sold their house.

  314. The market has shifted in the last probably 3 months according

  315. to fuel prices, what fuel has dictated to the market.

  316. But when you stop looking at the economy and keep looking at his

  317. economy. Now when I read his streets are

  318. made of gold, the Bible says he prepares a mansion for you and I

  319. all of us, we have a mansion. I can't wait to see what this

  320. all looks like in the end. But if he's got that level of,

  321. you know, he just walks on gold, you know, it's see through gold,

  322. by the way, if you read the Book of Revelation.

  323. So it's the purest of pure and there's gems that this is the

  324. world we're going to live in or the heavenly world in which

  325. Father God lives in. When we realise that why would

  326. we ever bring our economy level down to earths when we can walk

  327. in that? Does this make sense?

  328. But we've got to work finance out.

  329. We've got to work budgeting out for this to to happen.

  330. We overcome scarcity when we stop looking first at culture

  331. and we stop looking first to your fears, to your fears and

  332. start anchoring your confidence in the shepherd.

  333. You know the the great thing about a shepherd is a shepherd

  334. leads the sheep. A shepherd doesn't just sit

  335. there and have a pity party with the sheep.

  336. Shepherds understand what the sheep is going through but

  337. doesn't grovel in the mess. Shepherds have a greater vision

  338. of the future. Shepherds know where you're

  339. going even when we don't know when where we're going.

  340. See, Jesus is our shepherd. And when it comes to to money

  341. and to finance and to budgeting and all all of this, he is our

  342. shepherd on which we lean even in this area of our life, not

  343. just for salvation, but for all areas of our life.

  344. Why would we lean on him? Because he knows what he has in

  345. our future. We've just got to learn to

  346. follow or in other words, walk in that future that God has

  347. prepared for us. He's a practical change.

  348. Replace fear language with faith language rather than allowing

  349. yourself say, I'll never get ahead.

  350. Nothing ever changes for me or I'm stuck.

  351. I'm just stuck in this. Well, I'm stuck in this job.

  352. And while I'm stuck in the job, we're just stuck in this

  353. financial realm. My kids are stuck in that

  354. school. You know, I'm just stuck.

  355. Or you might say my future is not controlled by fear or

  356. uncertainty any longer. Let's start declaring God is

  357. leading me. God is faithful.

  358. He is always faithful. He's forever faithful.

  359. God is my source. When you get your next rates

  360. bill, come on, you know what I'm talking about.

  361. Don't get the rates bill and go, oh, I'll never get ahead like

  362. this. Get the rights bill and go, God,

  363. I thank you that you are my source and this big figure there

  364. does not dictate to me. I will steward it well and I'll

  365. do what I have to do to see this paid out.

  366. But as I take righteous steps to to do this, as I tithe and I'm

  367. faithful in that area, as I'm generous over in this area, when

  368. you prompt me, I will begin to walk in your overflow in these

  369. bills will lose their power over my life.

  370. That's how we approach these situations.

  371. What you repeatedly confess shapes what you eventually

  372. believe. I'm going to say that 111 more

  373. time. I do this all the time.

  374. I don't know about you, but I'll do this.

  375. What you repeatedly confess if you got self-image things going

  376. on in your world. I'm just not beautiful.

  377. I just hate my hair, just hate the way I look.

  378. I don't like my freckles. What you can repeatedly confess.

  379. You will start to believe in your heart, but it's not, it's

  380. not the truth. You are beautiful.

  381. You are handsome. The freckles is what makes you

  382. the perfect you. My wife had freckles our whole

  383. life. Like, freckles are awesome.

  384. All right? Yeah.

  385. You can have long hair. You can have WAVY.

  386. We just had a hair discussion the other day and Ilia wants my

  387. hair. I have no hair, so I said just

  388. go to Mum's hair. But Mum wants an Ilia's hair

  389. because it's long and curly like, and when we start to see

  390. that God perfectly made us like I'm, I'm not the most beautiful

  391. or handsome man. OK, well, I'm pretty close.

  392. But but I remember, I remember growing up, OK, I'm just can I

  393. be honest for a SEC? Like I when I grew up, I had big

  394. ears. Stop looking.

  395. OK, I had big ears. They're OK Now I, I think

  396. they're OK, right? I kind of my head grew and I

  397. grew into my ears. My head grew because my brain

  398. grew and, and I sort of, but you know what I even remember as a,

  399. as a little fella, I, I did used to look in the mirror and go,

  400. what the where'd those two things come from?

  401. But I loved my hair. I had hair back then, I don't

  402. know, Lib talking 80s, early 90s.

  403. So I had a hair with fringe. Do you remember the fringe that

  404. went straight out? Yeah.

  405. So Hairspray was like underneath and on top.

  406. Does anyone remember? There was, is this a Townsville

  407. thing? We're a bit different up there.

  408. So I used to see how far I could get my fringe to come straight

  409. out. Yeah, that's what fringes were

  410. back then. But the the reality is, is what

  411. we confess in our lives, if we never have enough, you never

  412. have enough. You know what?

  413. You know, ask my kids if they go.

  414. Dad, do I have money? I say, yeah, I haven't even

  415. checked my account yet. Yep.

  416. Let me just check my account. Oh, it's not in there today.

  417. It'll be in there tomorrow, though.

  418. But yes, I got money. You know, I remember when when

  419. my kids were young because I wear Nike shoes, right.

  420. So every birthday or Christmas, I get a pair of Nike shoes and I

  421. did that to make me look rich. So if you got a pair of Nike

  422. shoes and if you can get one night jumper, you look rich

  423. Anyway, So my kids, when they're, you know, I think of

  424. any might have been about eights and the the boys were younger.

  425. One day they I picked them up from school and they said, Dad,

  426. are we millionaires? And I said, yeah, I said, why,

  427. Why do you ask that? And I said, oh, just all my

  428. friends, they just noticed whenever you or mum come, you're

  429. wearing like Nikes all the time. And they thought maybe we're

  430. millionaires. And I said, well, we are.

  431. I said, but I've just got a normal wage.

  432. What you speak comes in here and you start to present yourself

  433. and live in accordance to what you believe so we can shift

  434. reality. Did you know that you can shift

  435. your reality? It starts small, but it starts

  436. to snowball until reality actually shifts.

  437. You form your world. Did you know he's a he's a

  438. little key for everyone here today?

  439. Did you know that you're living in the world that you confessed

  440. yesterday? You're living in the world today

  441. of your confession over your past.

  442. And if we want to shift the spirit of poverty and lack, we

  443. need to start to present ourselves like we're sons and

  444. daughters of the High King. Does this make sense?

  445. Because Church, it's not just about you and I.

  446. My whole heart in all of this is because I want to see the spirit

  447. of lack and scarcity and poverty broken from Bribie to Tegulawa.

  448. And S will get a bit of the overflow, right?

  449. But the reality is we breakthrough for our community.

  450. As go the head, so goes the tail.

  451. Does that make sense? So as we lead the church

  452. spiritually, so right now we are we are changing our confession.

  453. We're all standing and praying for our tithes and offerings

  454. moments. Why?

  455. Because we're declaring you might not be there yet, but

  456. you're getting there, right? We're declaring that as a

  457. church, we have said enough is now enough.

  458. Spiritually, we're doing that. But as a church, we're going to

  459. follow our prayer confessions. And so we'll start to change

  460. this. You know, when your kids ask

  461. you, are you if you're rich, we're not rich, we're

  462. millionaires. Like, do you not know our God?

  463. Let me let me tell you a little bit about God.

  464. Sit around the table. So that's my father right there.

  465. And start to change our thinking, start to retrain our

  466. children, start to retrain our own.

  467. It's called transformation. And we invite the Holy Spirit

  468. into this as well. Point number two men, I've got

  469. 5. I'm going to read real fast.

  470. Scarcity is learned, but so is trust.

  471. Israel spent generations in slavery, so even after

  472. deliverance they still fought like slaves.

  473. If you've ever read read that story.

  474. They had Memon in from heaven. Miraculous protection.

  475. Supernatural provision. Yet they still feared lack.

  476. Why? Because freedom externally

  477. doesn't automatically create freedom internally.

  478. Many people today have inherited generational poverty.

  479. Thinking mums and dads, it's time to say and it stops with me

  480. and it stops right now. Even my family will no longer

  481. live in generational poverty. Thinking because your tomorrow

  482. can be changed by your decisions today.

  483. Does that make sense? Maybe you grew up hearing we

  484. never have enough. Rich people are greedy people.

  485. People like us, we always struggle.

  486. You can't really trust God when it comes to finances.

  487. Those words create internal strongholds and listen, we need

  488. to let go of them. Let go of this thinking.

  489. Let go of this confession that we have.

  490. The wilderness mindset teaches people to survive and not trust.

  491. Listen, if you grew up in Caboolture, we no longer just

  492. survive to live. We no longer just survive to

  493. live. We are blessed beyond

  494. understanding. We are favoured by the Almighty

  495. God. We walk in riches that are like

  496. a tap to us and we give it out as much as it comes into us.

  497. We are the blessing to our community.

  498. We are the favour that God has brought them, the answer to our

  499. community. We are children of God.

  500. We are not just living to survive any longer, but we are

  501. living Lord, to bring other people out of the miry clay also

  502. for themselves. God never called these people

  503. merely to survive. He called us to live by faith

  504. and to live in a realm of stepping out and seeing our God

  505. who supplies, actually supply. We have to step into this realm.

  506. We have to step into this understanding.

  507. Listen, we have to step into these new behaviours that our

  508. God who supplies all of our needs, actually does supply.

  509. And you go, yeah, but he only supplies needs.

  510. No, no, no, you got the wrong understanding of the Scripture.

  511. He says he supplies all of our needs because our needs are and

  512. wants are actually his needs and wants.

  513. If he can get it through you, he will get it to you.

  514. And so when your need is the need to see people come to God

  515. to see the gospel go out to see crusades happening all across

  516. Australia to to be able to fund the church in blessing to to

  517. grow as a church and to get more locations and and our need is

  518. people out there. God goes I can bless that with

  519. all my riches in heaven. And when he's blessing that

  520. need, he's blessing you. Why because that need became

  521. yours. Does this make sense?

  522. So this is all about alignment Church Romans 12 to be

  523. transformed by the renewing of your mind.

  524. Transformation begins when truth replaces fear, No longer fear to

  525. finances in your world. But we live in the truth #3

  526. God's economy operates differently.

  527. Paul writes in Philippians 419. My God shall supply all your

  528. needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

  529. Did you notice? Not according to your

  530. limitations. See, God doesn't go.

  531. Oh, Graham's too limited. I can't do my mission through

  532. him. I'm going to look for a rich

  533. person. That's not how God operates.

  534. In fact, God's so gracious, he goes well until Graham changes

  535. his stinking thinking. We just got to hold off a little

  536. bit and wait. And the Holy Spirit just keep

  537. working on him. See God, God doesn't say he

  538. supplies our needs according to my limitations.

  539. He says he supplies our needs according to his riches and

  540. overflow. Scarcity says there's not

  541. enough. But the Kingdom of God says

  542. there is more than enough in God.

  543. This does not mean irresponsibility.

  544. It does not mean ignoring wisdom or stewardship.

  545. Financial freedom flows from both trust and wisdom.

  546. So let's remember, faith is not passive, faith is obedience.

  547. So how do we change in this move from fear driven living to

  548. stewardship driven living? This means honouring God first

  549. with your first fruits, which is plain language, your tithe,

  550. budgeting wisely, removing unnecessary debt where possible

  551. in your life, practicing generosity, refusing emotional

  552. spending. Scarcity spends emotionally

  553. because fear seeks comfort. Wisdom spends intentionally

  554. because trust creates peace. Some people ask God for

  555. breakthrough while refusing discipline but stewardship.

  556. Is a spiritual thing #4 generosity breaks the power of

  557. scarce scarcity. One of the greatest antidotes to

  558. scarcity is generosity. Why?

  559. Because generosity confronts fear directly.

  560. Whereas you're giving away, you're going, God, you supply

  561. all my needs, You aren't going. Oh man, now I'm left with

  562. nothing. What do I do?

  563. Does that make sense? We go God, you supply all my

  564. needs and because I believe that I'm giving to this need, if he

  565. can get it through you, he will get it to you.

  566. Fear says hold tight. Faith says God can replenish

  567. what I release. The Kingdom principle is this.

  568. Whatever you grip tightly will begin to grip you tightly back.

  569. When we live open handed before God, we declare, my trust is not

  570. in possessions, but my trust is in the provider.

  571. Generosity is not the overflow of abundance, it is the evidence

  572. of trust in God. Let me say that again.

  573. Generosity is not the overflow of abundance.

  574. You don't begin to be generous when you get more in your pay.

  575. You're not getting more in your pay, right?

  576. It's set, you contracted that. Generosity is a hard attitude.

  577. Generosity doesn't move to your employer, generosity moves to

  578. the provider. So we are generous because our

  579. provider provides all my needs, not because my employer provides

  580. my needs. Does this make sense?

  581. Your employer gives you a benchmark of living.

  582. Your provider lets you live in abundance and overflow.

  583. Does this make sense? And so we look to God for all

  584. things #5 peace is the goal, not just prosperity.

  585. Some people think financial breakthrough alignment.

  586. I've got a lot of information today.

  587. This is good as helping someone this morning.

  588. Some people think financial breakthrough alone will heal

  589. anxiety. Let me tell you, God heals

  590. anxiety and the Bible says to be anxious for nothing.

  591. How do you be anxious for nothing?

  592. You're anxious for nothing. When you understand truly in

  593. your heart who your source is, your source of peace, your

  594. source of blessing, your source of prosperity, your source of

  595. love, your source of hope. When we understand that God is

  596. love, that God is hope, that God is the fulfilling of the flesh,

  597. that God makes me feel good, that God feels the enemy, that

  598. God supplies the enemy, that guy supplies all my needs according

  599. to his riches and glory. That means all you needs, not

  600. just money, but all you need. Your thinking, your emotions and

  601. everything, then we are anxious for nothing.

  602. Money alone will not fix your anxiety.

  603. Like money, your anxiety must go to the source of your provider.

  604. Many wealthy people still live terrified and anxious.

  605. Money will never, was never designed to carry the weight of

  606. your peace. Only God can do that, David said

  607. in Psalms 23. One, the Lord is my shepherd,

  608. not savings accounts, restores my souls.

  609. See, God wants his people free from anxiety, from striving in

  610. day-to-day, just surviving free from panic.

  611. Man, money brings panic. Money destroys marriages.

  612. Like we should have dominion over this thing.

  613. Money should just bring life to the mission of your marriage,

  614. not come between the husband and the wife.

  615. Money is is a tool that we use, not a thing that divides.

  616. That's the enemy's plan, but the enemy wins when we lose

  617. dominion. Does this make sense?

  618. It's a church. We have to have dominion.

  619. The goal is not greed, the goal is peace.

  620. It's critical to have a settled confidence in God.

  621. And here's your last practical tip for today.

  622. Daily practice gratitude and financial surrender.

  623. Daily practice your gratitude and surrendering your finance to

  624. God. Well, God, I don't walk

  625. according to the budgets of this world and the economy.

  626. I'll walk in accordance to the blesser and my provider and

  627. change our confession and everything will follow in Jesus

  628. name. Listen, gratitude weakens fear.

  629. So Church, I just want you to hear this in closing today, the

  630. wilderness mindset of lack, worry, and fear will not enter

  631. your promised land. The mindset of lack God, where

  632. are you in my finance worry scarcity, poverty that that

  633. mindset won't enter into your promised land.

  634. See the Egyptians had to change. Sorry the the Israelites had to

  635. change everything about their thinking when they left Egypt

  636. because they were still thinking like slaves.

  637. But God says you're not a slave, you're my child.

  638. He has set us free to walk in freedom free indeed.

  639. And money is the greatest economy on planet earth that

  640. tries to enslave that. God is here to set us free today

  641. in Jesus name. God wants to renew our thinking,

  642. our language, our trust, our stewardship, and give us the

  643. peace. So if you receive this message

  644. today, I would love you to declare something.

  645. I'd love you to declare it loud enough for your own ears to

  646. hear. If you could say this after me,

  647. scarcity will no longer shape my thinking.

  648. I great break agreement with generational poverty, thinking I

  649. will not carry a wilderness mindset into my promise to land.

  650. I choose trust over fear, stewardship over chaos, and

  651. generosity over scarcity. In Jesus mighty name, Amen.

  652. Amen.
