bienvenidas a Grupo de Familia. Welcome

everyone. Ah, estamos en la montaña

escuchando a Jesús. Ah, estamos en Mateo

5, versículo 17 al 48.

En el versículo 17 al 20 Jesús nos dice

que ha venido a cumplir

eh la ley y los profetas.

Y dimos un enfoque el domingo a qué

significa eso. Es decir, que muchas

veces hemos escuchado Jesús vino a

cumplir la ley, pero no escuchamos la

segunda parte que dice, "Y los profetas"

y la ley y los profetas le da este

equilibrio a lo que Dios desea y a los

hombres y mujeres, los profetas que Dios

envía a través del del tiempo en el

Antiguo Testamento para asegurar que

haya justicia, que no haya opresión y

que haya honra y honor.

a la ley de Dios. Entonces le da este

equilibrio.

También dimos un enfoque en qué

significa

cumplir.

Y decimos en una manera general que

cumplir Jesús se refiere a que no

solamente está cumpliendo las la ley o

está cumpliendo las profecías que se

dijeron, pero que Jesús está encarnando

la ley y los profetas. Es decir, que la

vida y la enseñanza y la práctica y la

manera de ser de Jesús es una práctica

completa, una encarnación completa de la

ley y de los profetas. Entonces, al ver

la vida de Jesús, a ver a Dios como ser

humano, es poder ver y decir, "Oh, así

es la persona que pone en práctica Torá

y los profetas." Y quizás es una manera

diferente de verla. Bueno, un breve

repaso en inglés.

So, we're in the mountain with Jesus.

We're listening to a very familiar

passage, but we're trying and doing our

best to honor it and hear it uh

according to the text, according to the

context of Matthew, according to Matthew

and its way of organizing the life and

ministry of Jesus.

And uh we try to do um some work on

Sunday uh to focus that Jesus is not

saying I've came I've come to fulfill

the law but he says the law and the

prophets. Sometimes we forget that

second part. And so it's important to

read in the context of Jesus is

fulfilling both the law and the prophets

which brings this great equilibrium of

to what God intended, what God desires

and how God sends his prophets to make

sure that there is justice, that there

is no oppression, that there is

representation for those on the margins

and that we have integrity in honoring

scripture. And so Jesus is fulfilling

both the law, Torah and the prophets.

And so again, those are important. And

then we talked a little bit about what

is fulfill mean. And our way of

summaring summarizing that was that

fulfill doesn't just mean he completed

and checked off all the boxes or that he

fulfilled what was prophesied. But

fulfilled more than that, more than

those two things means that he is the

embodiment of Torah and the prophets.

Therefore, we can look at God human

Jesus. uh and see, "Oh, that's what a

human being looks like who practices

Torah and the way of the prophets." And

so Jesus will embody in his life, in his

teaching, in his relationship, in his

practice,

Torah and prophets, the rest of the

gospel. And when you look at those six

teachings,

everything that he is expecting, he is

going to do himself.

And we should also note while we're here

that all of those six teachings are

relational in nature. That Torah and the

prophets was always intended to restore

and to bring forth life and life as a

community. So the relational aspect of

those six teaching teachings is crucial

for us to to understand and relearn and

rehear in the context of restoration.

Entonces, las seis enseñanzas que

continúan después del versículo 20. Es

importante que notemos que estas seis

enseñanzas eh tienen que ver con

relaciones y que Jesús va a encarnar

todas estas enseñanzas, que de ahora en

adelante el evangelio de Mateo, todo lo

que Jesús tiene por expectativa a sus

seguidores, él mismo va a encarnar, él

mismo va a vivir estas leyes, estas

enseñanzas, estas maneras de vivir una

vida profética.

Y también notemos, ¿no?, igual que las

seis enseñanzas tienen que ver con

relación de que la que de que Tora, la

ley de Dios y los profetas, la intención

de Dios siempre ha sido reconciliación,

restauración y que haya vida. El reto

que se encuentra aquí en el contexto de

Mateo es que los fariseos,

ah hablamos el domingo que no solamente

no creían totalmente que la gente podía

cumplir Torá, entonces lo que ellos

hacen eh para proteger esos 613

mandamientos de la ley crean otras

reglas para asegurar que la gente no

rompa, no quebra la ley y a través del

tiempo, en lugar de vivir y cumplir la

ley, el enfoques es no romper la ley.

Entonces, lo que la gente está

cumpliendo es las reglas de no quebrar

Torá en lugar de la ley para vivir Tora.

Entonces, el énfasis es totalmente

diferente, muy similar a las etapas de

toda iglesia o movimiento donde hay una

etapa donde el legalismo es alto por

protegerse a sí mismo, por proteger el

movimiento, por proteger que siga

habiendo cambios o para que la gente no

falle. Entonces, el énfasis ahora se

hace lo que haces, lo externo,

ah, la conducta, el resultado más que la

transformación y la vida. Entonces es

aquí este choque que Jesús tiene con los

fariseos, muy relevante para todos

nosotros. Entonces, Jesús no se enfoca

en si quebraste las reglas o no. Lo que

Jesús desea es que encarnemos también

nosotros, que vivamos nosotros bajo esta

ley de Dios, esta ley de relaciones,

esta ley de restauración. Esto es lo que

Dios quiere que cumplamos.

Ah, en todo esto, de nuevo, es tiene que

ver relaciones y reconciliación.

Entonces, todo esto es muy importante

para Mateo. Y al final de esta parte del

sermón, Jesús nos dice, "Sean perfectos,

así como nuestro Padre es perfecto." Y

hablamos un poquito lo que significa esa

palabra perfecto, que tiene que ver más

con madurez, que tiene que ver más con

eh ah

responsabilidad.

sabiduría,

eh transformación.

Entonces, el enfoque de Torá y los

profetas no es que sigamos las reglas,

eh, es que al practicar Torá y estas

expectativas y mandamientos que Jesús

nos da,

es que nos empieza a transformar,

que no solamente veamos a la humanidad

decir, "Ah, yo no mato porque eso es

malo." No, no solo eso, pero yo estoy

aprendiendo a no odiar.

Yo estoy aprendiendo a no tener venganza

ah o malas intenciones

en mi corazón, en mi ser, en mis

relaciones.

Es decir, que va a estar bajo el reinado

de Jesús.

implica práctica y obediencia

a estas eh leyes, expectativas

enseñanzas que Jesús nos está dando

estos esta interpretación y resumen y

nueva interpretación de lo que es Tora.

Todo eso está ocurriendo. Entonces vamos

a leer ahorita Mateo 5 versículo 17 al

20 solamente y después hay preguntas al

final, pero voy a cerrar aquí con eh

unos

puntos en inglés. Ok so we've covered

hey it's not just the law it's law and

prophets what fulfillment is uh the

connection of the six teachings uh there

uh we also touched on Sunday you know

what it means to be under the ring of

the kingdom and so Jesus is expecting us

and calling us uh who want to be his

disciples uh to embody uh these

teachings.

uh as well. And so he also he's also

letting us know that his people, the

kingdom people uh that he is gathering

uh are different uh from those around.

Uh that we live under a different

expectation, a different kingship, a

different kingdom. And so he says, "It

is not just don't kill. It's hey,

there's no hatred in our hearts. There's

no malice. We are learning that how we

treat others affects us. How we treat

ourselves affects others. That the in

the kingdom of God uh humanity is inter

connected and God wants to restore all

of humanity. therefore to faithfully

participate

uh in what Jesus is saying in chapter 5

not only transforms us but it has the

potential to bless and transform others

and everything that Jesus has taught in

these six teachings he himself as we've

mentioned will embody and will live out

and is calling us to do the same.

Why is he calling us to do the same?

leading at

Dios con nosotros.

It means more maturity, wholess

that the emphasis not to be like the

Pharisees who placed all these rules

around Torah. um how their focus was

about don't break the rules. You got to

follow the rules. And so in that people

no longer practice or embodied Torah and

the prophets. What they focused on was

not breaking the rules. And we look at

we see that in every religious uh

movement in every group um that you know

uh has seasons of panic uh and so more

rules uh in order for the performative

aspect for the outcomes to continue. And

it's no longer a place of where people

have transformation.

It's now a performative place where

people find their meaning or their

purpose and the outcomes rather than who

God is calling them to be and to do. And

so Jesus is restoring that as well. And

so in his kingdom uh there isn't a focus

on the performative, there is a focus on

being. But in that being comes a lot of

doing and therefore it does transform

you. It does call others to do uh the

same. So he takes a different route than

that of the Pharisees or our modern day

uh groups or movements.

So perfect means the emphasis on

transformation and you cannot be

transformed unless you are living and

practicing

the way of Jesus. So all of that is

taking place. We're going to go ahead

and read chapter 5 ver 17 through 20

only for now and then we have some
