The Voice of the Lord in the storm

I had a privilege of baptizing claudinha.

You know, it's such a beautiful story, a story but I think even

more than that, her brother is here, she was here to actually

witness the baptism. And you know, what is his name

is, name is glad and the first song that we sang was glad, I

mean, how is God, she was here when we had the bride for the

for the widows and she actually lost a marriage.

And she got ministered at that time.

Join our church. And then we went into a series

of the feast. She actually went and gave a

feast to an offer to a couple of orphanages if I'm not mistaken

and around rastenburg. The newspaper came like,

wondering how is this happening? You know, they ask a question

and she just say not I go to a church where we actually

feasting in the presence of the Lord and I felt I need to spread

out this This to the orphans, I mean, and today she's getting

baptized. I mean, we live in wonderful

stories. God is amazing.

I don't know. What did we do to actually

deserve this actually nothing, just the grace of God.

The favor of God goodness of God of us as his people, you know,

even as I'm standing here, I don't know.

I don't I feel like I don't deserve to be standing here and

preaching because what God is doing you know I couldn't have

planned and And organize orchestrated or anything, you

know, it's just the grace of God.

And the goodness of God, when I look where I come from and to be

preaching here, I mean, it is, it is an amazing privilege.

God is good. God is amazing.

And we're going to read in Psalm 29 ascribe to the Lord Almighty

one ascribe to the Lord glory and strength ascribe to the

Lord. Glory due to his Worship the

Lord in the Splendor of his Holiness.

The voice of the Lord is over the waters, the god of Glory

Thunders. The Lord Thunders over the

mighty Waters, the voice of the Lord is powerful.

The voice of the Lord is majestic, the voice of the Lord,

breaks the Cedars. The Lord breaks in pieces, The

Cedars of Lebanon, he makes the Lebanon.

It makes Lebanon, skip like a cough, Syrian like a young wild

ox, the voice of the Lord strikes, And we flashes of

lightning, the voice of the Lord shakes, the the desert, the Lord

shakes, the desert of Kadesh the voice of the Lord, twist The

Glory the lord sits enthroned over the flood.

The Lord is in Throne as king forever.

The Lord gives strength to his people, the Lord blesses, his

storm, almost like what we saw through Madagascar and and

So something to that effect was happening in Israel, and we all

know David, When is undone, when he's in trouble, he was not a

man that refrain from actually complaining to God about the

travel at surrounded in. But here, it's different here is

actually praising God from a beginning of the of the some

till the end of it. It's amazing.

I looked at it and I thought, you know, you've got all the

good reasons why you could complain but actually, it seems

like he is learned. Something is in the middle of a

storm. In fact, this this someone's

actually highlighted to me when Kai was busy.

You know, there was three or 24 weeks ago, he actually made a

storm actually started in over all of southern Africa.

I don't know if you are like me. I don't like storms.

I don't like lightning. I don't like them when I'm

flying. I don't particularly like them.

So I don't like storms in the sky.

day. I mean.

storm is worshipping. And is actually, ask is saying

ascribe to the Lord Almighty 10, Heavenly beings bubble comment.

necessarily children of God. They actually angels in heaven,

so it feels as if David is saying, I might not be able to

describe God. Adequately.

So I'm actually calling for the help of angels to ascribe glory

to God because I might miss it, I might focus on the storm and

actually mr. Fact that God is busy with

something bigger. So I'm going to ask for help,

I'm going to worship but I'm not, I'm not going to try and

worship in my own knowledge, in my own.

Understanding our call for Heavenly beings for angels' to

help me worship. God, I guess that's why you

probably don't even have. Were banned because we are

trying to dig deep to, to a place where we say, do we really

understand God to worship Him adequately.

We don't understand him. So let us may be called do

something new. Not with the help of the band,

not to our own Harper, actually angels, helping us to describe

God and describe glory to him. You know, we were in a bit of a

storm 2017, we're living in Durban and we're moving to Well,

actually, we knew that God was calling us to move to Pretoria.

So my wife and my two children, but we didn't know we had so

many storms around us and one of them was affected Helen, my

wife. I don't know if you woman just

standing there, so many people. So this is Helen my wife.

have an operation and we didn't know that she has to have an

operation in Durban before we come to Pretoria or we come to

Pretoria, but we didn't know anything about, you know,

operations around Coke, Pretoria and all that.

So they were, there was a lady. She still part of our church,

but in those days, she was, she was working for, for the church

staff. And name is Adel, man.

She's one of our worship leaders Adele man, just booked us to

stay with. Dwayne and Gail fairmark,

daughters and Tegan and there's Jordan I think and ever and and

there's Bruce and Winston. I mean Bruce and Winston are the

dogs at. I've just forgotten the name of

the third dog. So we stay there but then there

was still something that happened.

We had a Bry, we set it on the table, we started talking.

And then we discovered that they were actually Dwayne was a

orthopedic surgeon specialist. And we knew at that point time

that actually we were in the right house, the right space and

one of the storm was actually a piece.

East. He actually operated on Helen a

couple of months. When we move to to Pretoria, you

know. That was to me like a lightning.

That God's manifestation like a lightning.

We saw God at work. but then during the night, the biggest of

storm hit Pretoria to the first time I was in a storm like that

in Pretoria where you see the lightning and you hear the

thunder almost at the same time. You know, I realize one thing.

That's this, this city here as got the Finger of God upon it.

From long time ago. I've never experienced storms

and Thunders and lightning, like it is around Pretoria.

Maybe there are places in the world that is got that.

But Pretoria is got something special storms and lightning and

Thunders. You know, the speed of light,

the speed of light is a like, big numbers.

Listen carefully. It's 1 million 79,000.

Two hundred and fifty two thousand, eight hundred and

forty nine thousand thousand. There are no sense there.

Kilometers per hour, the speed of sound at that, when we can

handle 1234 there's some sense a 80 cents km/h it means when a

lightning hits Pretoria it takes about zero comma, zero to s for

hit to be seen in the oven. That's fast.

That's a money, first power of God, but the same storm.

The Thunder will be heard in Durban half an hour later.

So you see the lightning? But then half an hour later, you

don't even know if what you are. Hearing was actually the Thunder

delay. But here in Pretoria, there's no

distance between the lightning and the Thunder.

We see it and we can have the interpretation of it.

When God act in Pretoria, we see is manifestation in a lightning

and we hear is voice in the fund.

No delay. No delay.

Other people see it from here, it from far, and they don't

know. Sometimes they were even think

that we are the lightning. We are the one that are causing

this light, but actually, the Thunder comes later.

And they've lost all perspective on the lightning.

But here in Pretoria, we are not going to attribut, any glory to

anyone for the lighting, because we have seen the lightning and

we have heard the voice of God, couple of minutes, couple of

seconds after that. In fact.

We hit we see, and we hear it at the same time, in the middle of

the storm. That's why David says, in Psalm

Psalms 27:1

27:1 thing, that desire, one thing that I want is to be in

the house of God, dwell in the house of God, dwell in the storm

where there's the Manifest presence of God, and I hear his

voice, a couple of seconds later, one thing that we've got,

many things that we want, but I pray that we will be like David.

One thing that I want is to be in the middle of the storm where

the father is speaking with manifesting his glory.

And any speaking to interpret That Glory, his word comes to

confirm couple of seconds later. Couple of seconds later.

You know. We had covered to me, there was

a manifest power of God, but the interpretation was always not

right until I met someone meat. So I can see you there.

He gave me a lift and he told me, you know what covid did for

me? It made me understand, give us

today. Our daily bread when people are

giving wrong interpretation but vaccines about microchips and

all that he had the right interpretation because I was in

the middle of the storm called covid.

He could see the Manifest power of God and his interpretation of

the right. One, give me today, my daily

bread, our prey. I've learned to pray for my

business in the middle of a storm called covert.

God has allowed us to build this building in the middle of a

stone called covered the lightning of God.

And the voice of God to confirm that in order.

The David was was actually he can maybe give us that map.

If you go in verse 3 he says that the voice of God was on the

on the sea. So that Thunder was coming from

the sea Mediterranean Sea and I need it went into Lebanon that's

tyre and sidon and then it went into Mount Mount Hermon which is

still in Lebanon and then it comes the X to Kadesh.

Which is close to Egypt. You, probably asking yourself,

how did he know? Because for us to know that

ferdy the storm was hitting southern Africa.

We had to, we had TVs and all that.

How did he know that? You know, there was no light

pollution in those days. So it could be in the middle,

maybe a Jerusalem but he could see the lightning traveling. 0

Kruger. You know, you can see light from

a distance, but then you saw it going north and then it came

South. But then guess what?

showing us something God wanted everybody often on the promised

land, all Israelites to be covered by the storm.

Everybody to be cover the Eastern tribes, the Western

tribe, the north of the country, the south of the country,

everybody covered by the storm Rich, poor black white, young

old, male female, everybody covered by the storm, everybody

in the middle of the storm, because that's a place where we

discover that we are sheep without help in need of a

shepherd. And he's giving us All the

opportunity to be in the middle of the storm so that we can

realize that we are sheep in. Need of a Shepherd everybody.

Yes, it's actually. It's inconvenient to be in the

middle of a storm but that's what we discover that we need

the shepherd, the voice of the Lord verse 5.

Over the waters, the ESV actually says, over many Waters,

what are the warning? Waters, that are sinking us.

The economy is going down. the reins exchange against the

dollar going down, salaries are no longer lasting as like a used

to be Salary is actually sinking in a petrol price.

But the voice of the Lord, the voice of the Lord is powerful,

over the water. Peter says, Lord is it you, if

it is you just say a word and I will come, I will walk on the

water when there's a storm when is, when we're in the middle of

the storm, when you are in the middle of the sea, the father is

reminding us call upon me. I will speak my voice and then

water will turn into a grind night flow where you can

actually walk. You're not going to sink

Pretoria. If you call upon my name you

will walk on firm ground. I'm able to turn the sea into a

grass. I mean into a not cross grind

night flow that you can actually walk the voice of God is

powerful. We're in a storm when a

politician things that they are powerful, but to voice of God,

is more powerful than any politician.

Just look around. Just look around.

Look at the president of Turkey today.

Big turmoil why popularity has gone down?

I mean he has never been popular anyway, popularity is gone.

Why? Because of the earthquake God

can actually dislodge a powerful person.

Just by causing a storm, a thunder earthquake.

Flood. Then the election everything.

All the rigging of the election is now in underwater.

The voice of God is Majestic. In what Majestic means?

It's Unique. Can't be compared to any other.

It's actually eminent exalted above all other voices.

We are in a storm. Where the world wants us to be

quiet. We can't even have Our opinion

even though they say freedom of expression, I mean, did you hear

Reverend what is what is the name Calvin Robinson at the

Oxford Union search? Gwen here because of voice of

God is like thunder. We cannot be silent.

We are not going to be disrespectful, but to voice of

God is like thunder where people can actually voice their opinion

because that freedom of expression is also freedom to

express our belief. Freedom to express that God is

majestic, is unique is above all other God?

God is above with idolatry. His voice is like thunder.

When his voice speaks. It's actually everything.

You can't hear anything else that when there's when there's

Thunder, you can't hear anything else you Run for Cover.

I remember, when we, when we, when we were children, you see

the lightning and, you know, like, okay, there's just enough

time for me to do the sign of the cross.

Because we were catholic and it's like, okay now now I'm

protected. And then the sound comes and

defens. Everything out, silence all the

other voices. The voice of God.

Moves the mountains. Moves the mountains.

I mean God says I'm Al Shaddai as mighty as a mountain.

I can't be moved. I can't be moved but I can move

any other Mountain. We are in a storm.

We are facing many mountains, but God can move those

mountains. In fact, the word says, the

voice of God makes Mount almond skip like a cough.

Kilimanjaro used to be in Kenya. and then one day, Queen Victoria

the cousin just said, you know what, we you guys have got to

mountains. We've got only, we don't have a

mountain, so Queen Victoria just says, okay.

the guys on this side of the border the Kenyan were dancing.

Hey Kilimanjaro. And then I woke up in the

morning, you know, the guys in the other side.

cheated, but God can move a mountain.

God can move a mountain. Whatever Mountain you are.

Facing God can move it lightning.

You just move it. God will Define your borders.

He will redefine your borders. The fact that I'm here born in

the DRC born in Congo, preaching to a predominantly Afrikaans

Church in English, no car. Mount.

I mean boundaries have been redefined some are God moved

mountains and and boundaries boundary places has fallen their

fallen in Pleasant places. My Pleasant place has become

Pretoria, God can move mountains.

Table Mountain can become yours. Another my friend from America,

they will mountains can become yours.

This can can be home for you. You can actually Stand start

counting for God. Claudinha, you can count for God

because God has redefine your boundaries.

He has moved those boundaries in one day, making mountains, skip

borders, move. Can give you a passport.

circumstances so that we can count for him where he wants us

to be. Dark storms when they're dark

that will come out of a house like that, you know, poverty can

be stubborn, Poverty, can be stubborn, but the voice of God

can make the young stubborn wild ox to skip.

So, poverty is now skipping generation.

I don't live there because at the house of my, my grandfather,

not not my my foot sir, grandfather.

The other one. Skip poverty, skip Generation Y

because of the voice of God. The voice of God, breaks the

Cedars of Lebanon. You know the Cedars of Lebanon

if we're in those days we're going to use the Cedars of

Lebanon as a steel girders to support our roof because that

was the purpose of the Cedars of Lebanon.

If you build your house in those they will see the of Lebanon.

You actually rich very rich. But the voice of God, breaks the

Cedars of Lebanon. So there's no security.

There is no safety in our riches.

Poverty is not stubborn enough for God, but also reaches is not

a sense of security and safety safety.

God is a sense of security and safety.

God also makes poverty skip Generations.

When we start actually living like children and daughter Sons

and Daughters of God, the voice of God, the voice of God, the

voice of God, shakes the desert of Kadesh.

You know, I don't know if he's can still remember it.

The storm went from the north to the South, but guess what it at

the South, it's a desert of Kadesh.

It's basically the Gate of Egypt, the voice of God goes,

all the accusations of the devil from the past.

The voice of God makes us fruitful.

The lightning. Whatever we think that this is

useless, this storm, you know, this country.

Where are we going now? Politician and only this is

useless, this has got no purpose whatsoever, God is doing

something fertilizing, the soil, preparing us for the feast.

Preparing us so that you can sit around the table and talk about

his glory. You know, all this all this is

just a reminder that if we understand the voice of God, if

we understand the voice of God, if you understand what he's

doing, it might not make sense to us.

Sometimes, but we understand, if we are, stay in the middle of

the storm, you know, what's going to happen?

Will be calling upon the god of the storm to come back.

As I say, oh, that you would Rend the heavens and come down

that the mountains will tremble before you, when you're in a

storm, will be calling. Now upon God will worship Him

and we say, oh, Rend the heavens and come down for South Africa,

ran the heavens and Come down. We'll stay here in the storm so

that when you render heaven and you come down, you actually

going to do Something that will even exceed our fears, you come

and turn our fears into a celebration into a fist.

You ran the heavens and come down.

I believe, the father is calling us.

Pretoria stay in the storm. Stay close to me.

Stay close to my voice, stay close.

You will see my manifestation, you'll be able to hear my voice,

and you you call upon on my name, ran the heavens and come

down in Jesus name.
