  1. Welcome to the Word of the Lord, the weekly television

  2. broadcast of Living Word Christian Church, proclaiming

  3. the good news of the gospel of the Lord Jesus

  4. Christ. Pastor Mark Clements, in -depth, relevant

  5. biblical teachings will help you in life and

  6. living in today's world. Now, let's join Pastor

  7. Clements in the service already in progress.

  8. Oh, I think a week or two ago, we looked at verse

  9. 15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you

  10. in what kind of clothing? Yeah, not wolves clothing.

  11. False prophets come in sheep's clothing. Inwardly,

  12. they're ravening wolves. And you shall know them

  13. by their fruits. You'll know them by their fruits.

  14. Verse 20, by their fruits you shall know them.

  15. But this morning I want to just go back two verses

  16. and look at verses 13 and 14. Matthew 7, 13 and

  17. 14. Enter ye in at which gate? The straight gate.

  18. For wide is the gate. And broad is the way that

  19. leads to destruction. And if you don't have this

  20. underlined in your Bible, make sure you underline

  21. the next phrase, many. And many there be that

  22. go on that way. Because straight is the gate

  23. and narrow is the way. Which leads to life. And

  24. few there be that find it. This is what our Bible

  25. says. Our Bible says that there are going to

  26. be a lot of people, many people, that take the

  27. wide gate and go the broad way that leads to

  28. destruction. Many there be, there'll be that

  29. go that route. But then there's another way,

  30. and it's straight and narrow. And it specifies

  31. right there, few, few there be that find it.

  32. I want to preface our time in God's Word this

  33. morning with that verse, establishing this premise,

  34. that just because something is popular, Just

  35. because some doctrine or belief or series of

  36. beliefs, some theology, is widely accepted does

  37. not make it right and does not lead to everlasting

  38. life. I'm reminded right now of the millions

  39. and millions of people who, this is Bible vernacular,

  40. whose carcasses fell dead in the desert over

  41. the course of 40 years. And out of those millions

  42. and millions and millions of people, only two

  43. went into the promised land. Only two. Now, most

  44. people, most theologians agree that the number

  45. of Israelites in the desert was somewhere between

  46. two and six million. Two and six million. Well,

  47. two out of even the lowest number there, two

  48. out of two million is not very great odds. But

  49. all of the rest of them died and all of the rest

  50. of them never walked into the promised land.

  51. And they all thought they were right. They all

  52. thought that they were accurate. They all thought

  53. that they were correct. They all thought that

  54. they were believing. In a right way, in a right

  55. manner, in a right fashion. But they were wrong.

  56. But they were wrong. Christianity as outlined

  57. in the Holy Scriptures may very well not be the

  58. most popular religion in the world. And may very

  59. well not be. I'm talking about the Christianity

  60. outlined in the Holy Bible. Not modern day Christianity.

  61. Modern day Christianity says, go to the altar,

  62. say one prayer, leave the altar, don't let it

  63. impact or affect your life one bit. And you'll

  64. be okay. Live self -seeking, live loving pleasure,

  65. live doing your own thing and running your own

  66. life. And at the end, you'll be accepted into

  67. God's kingdom because you accepted his son. You

  68. better read your Bible again. But that's the

  69. most common theology embraced in this nation

  70. that you and I are standing on the soil of right

  71. now. Your Bible and mine says that at the end,

  72. He's going to check out the fruit in everyone's

  73. life. Whether or not it evidences that something

  74. actually took place back there when you knelt

  75. at that altar and accepted Christ. Because if

  76. something did take place, there's going to be

  77. evidence. There's going to be fruit that was

  78. produced. If not, then your faith was dead. Many,

  79. many people in America have responded to an altar

  80. call while they played just as I am. You can

  81. come just as you are, but then our God expects

  82. from that moment forward that there be some change,

  83. that there be adjustment, that there be growth,

  84. that there be a humbling of oneself before our

  85. God, that there be a willingness and an obedience

  86. that reflects the life of the Savior. whose entire

  87. life was given and devoted and dedicated and

  88. ultimately committed to seeing the will of God

  89. done. I did not come to do my own will, but the

  90. will of Him that sent me. If you read Hebrews

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

  91. chapter 10, part of our Bible reading, just...

  92. was it yesterday or whenever we were in the Hebrews,

  93. before he ever left heaven, it was already about

  94. the will of God. It wasn't about making heaven.

  95. It was about the will of God. He said, prepare

  96. for me a body that I might go and do your will.

  97. It was all about doing God's will. When he was

  98. 12 years old and his family left without him,

  99. He didn't fret. He stayed right there in church.

  100. Got right up in the faces of the teachers and

  101. the Pharisees and scribes and was talking to

  102. them, asking them questions. They were listening

  103. to him, marveling at his answers. And mom came

  104. in and started chewing him out. He said, what's

  105. the problem? Don't you realize I have to be about

  106. my father's business? If I'm a Christian, that

  107. means I'm a Christ -like one. And I'm not all

  108. caught up in my business. Asking him to bless

  109. me in what I do and be with me in whatever I

  110. go. I'm caught up in his business. And I came

  111. to do the will of him that sent me. Broad is

  112. the way. Broad is the way, and wide is the gate

  113. that leads to destruction, and many there be

  114. that find it. But straight is the gate, and narrow

  115. is the way that leads to life, and few there

  116. be that find it. Few there be that find it. This

  117. morning I have a rather extensive list. It is

  118. not every scripture in the Bible. It's not every

  119. verse in the Bible. But my intent is not to give

  120. you every verse in the Bible. My intent is to

  121. help you with your faith. To help you be firmly

  122. rooted and firmly grounded and firmly established

  123. in what you believe and know why you believe

  124. it. And one of the things that we believe is

  125. that there is only one way to heaven. There's

  126. only one way to God. There's only one way to

  127. life everlasting. And it's not up for discussion.

  128. It's not up for a vote. It's not up for debate.

  129. God doesn't care what I think, doesn't give any

  130. attention whatsoever to what my opinion is in

  131. the matter or what my culture or what my society

  132. or what my generation believes about it. Other

  133. cultures and other generations don't believe

  134. that anyone who's wealthy or anyone who's rich

  135. can make heaven. Other cultures and other societies

  136. don't believe anyone of one particular gender

  137. can make heaven. Because only men can make heaven.

  138. And women can't make heaven. Well, since we don't

  139. see that in our Bible, and our Bible is the base

  140. of everything that we believe, then... Men and

  141. women can make heaven. Young and old can make

  142. heaven. Rich and poor can make heaven. Educated

  143. and uneducated can make heaven. It's not based

  144. on our genealogy. It's not based on our family

  145. tree. It's based on the grace of God that sent

  146. his only begotten son who took our place and

  147. died as our substitute and bore the consequence

  148. and the penalty for my sin. That's what put him

  149. there. And my faith in what he did. And my acceptance

  150. and receiving is Him as my Savior and then living

  151. for Him as my Lord is the way to life everlasting.

  152. And nothing short of it and nothing in addition

  153. to it. The largest Christian church in the United

  154. States of America. Right here in this century.

  155. Not in this decade, in a previous decade. The

  156. pastor of that church was called up to the largest,

  157. most often watched and well -known talk show

  158. in the United States of America and was sat right

  159. on live camera and asked, Is it true that you

  160. believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to

  161. heaven and only people who embrace and accept

  162. him and who are Christians are going to heaven

  163. and all of these other people are going to hell

  164. and all of these Muslims and all of these Hindus

  165. and all of these and named all these different.

  166. Are you telling all of those people that they

  167. can't go to heaven because they embrace what

  168. they believe? And he waffled and he wishy -washy

  169. and he wouldn't answer the question. Because

  170. popular theology is, well, the Lord is understanding,

  171. the Lord's compassionate, and he's going to be

  172. understanding. There's a lot of ways up. I heard

  173. it again last week. Last week. Last week on national

  174. television. There are many ways up the mountain.

  175. And he doesn't care which path that you take.

  176. No, there are many ways up the mountain. Only

  177. one of them leads to the top. Only one of them

  178. is going up. And well, pastor, you're just too

  179. dogmatic. If I could be more dogmatic, I would

  180. be. I'm as dogmatic as the word of God. That's

  181. as dogmatic as I can get. And I won't change

  182. it for modern day culture. It doesn't matter

  183. to me if everybody gets mad at me, stands up

  184. and walks out in mass. It doesn't matter to me

  185. how many emails I get and how much hate mail

  186. I get about being hateful about other religions

  187. and other faiths and other denominations. I'm

  188. not against anybody. I was just as lost as everybody

  189. else. Lost and undone without God and on my way

  190. to hell. With no hope. But a God, but God, but

  191. God who's rich in mercy planned a plan of salvation

  192. and he made it simple and it doesn't take, there's

  193. not a lot of choices in it. There's one. And

  194. I'm not about to change it for me. See, it'd

  195. be so much easier as a preacher, be so much easier

  196. as a minister to just get everybody around a

  197. circle and say, well, you know, God loves everybody,

  198. which is true. And then just take some modern

  199. humanistic conversation like, well, how could

  200. a loving God send anybody to hell? You're asking

  201. the wrong question. Asking completely the wrong

  202. question. How could a just God not send everybody

  203. to hell? Ought to be the question. The same loving

  204. God is just. And the same penalty is open for

  205. all. Or the same eternal everlasting life, the

  206. gift of salvation, is open to all just as well.

  207. That's the just side of God. And that's the love

  208. side of God as well. And then he leaves it up

  209. to you. Whosoever will. Whosoever will, let him

  210. come. Whosoever will. Now, why do we believe

  211. there's only one way to heaven? Because of what

  212. the Bible says. And let's start by seeing what

  213. it says. Why don't we just start with the most.

  214. Are you going to help me this morning? Are you

  215. going to be my lovely assistant? My other lovely

  216. assistant's home recovery. And this is my lovely

  217. assistant, my daughter. I had to say that because

  218. at some point I might just reach over and give

  219. her a hug. And you need to know, she's mine and

  220. I'm happy about it. John 3 .16, this is going

  221. to be a long list, so you're going to have two

  222. columns at least, and they might even be small.

  223. Let's just start with the most well -known of

  224. all Bible verses, and did I not say this will

  225. not be an exhaustive list? So that means it's

  226. not going to be? You can write me if you want

  227. and say, well, here's a great verse, Pastor,

  228. that you missed, or here's one that I thought

  229. of, Pastor. That's fine. This isn't meant to

  230. be. All of them. But this will be enough, bless

  231. God, to put our hearts to shouting. This will

  232. be enough to say, yeah, that is what I believe.

  233. And this is why we believe it. Now, let me just

  234. say this as well. Sometimes you can, if you know

  235. your Bible. What was the first word of that sentence?

  236. If. If you know your Bible, sometimes you can

  237. learn just as much. By looking at what it doesn't

  238. say. And it doesn't say anywhere from Genesis

  239. 1 -1 to Revelation 22 -21 that there's a second

  240. way. It doesn't say in one single solitary place,

  241. if you live a good life and intend to do right,

  242. God's going to welcome you into heaven. You don't

  243. find that anywhere in the Bible. That good intentions

  244. will cause the gates of heaven to swing open

  245. in your direction. You never read good intentions.

  246. Ever. You never read living a good life. What

  247. you read is Ephesians 2, 8 and 9. For by grace,

  248. that's what God did through Christ. For by grace

  249. are you saved. Through faith and that not of

  250. yourself. That's a gift of God. Not of our own

  251. works. Lest any of us should boast. It's not

  252. by works of righteousness, Titus 3 .5. It's not

  253. by works of righteousness which we have done.

  254. But according to His mercy, He saved us. There's

  255. no such thing as in our Bible. You don't read

  256. one verse in your Bible. You can't find the term

  257. co -redeemer anywhere in the Bible. You have

  258. no reference to co -savior anywhere in the Bible.

  259. Not one. Not even once. You don't have any verse

  260. that says, and if you don't like plan A, here's

  261. plan B. You have no verse whatsoever that there

  262. are multiple choice, A, B, C, or D, or E, all

  263. of the above. Or F, fill in the blank and choose

  264. your own way. You don't find one verse that says

  265. any of those things. But what you find in John

  266. 3, 16 through 18 is for God so loved the world.

  267. And I'm going to emphasize a few words. For God

  268. so loved the world that he gave his only. He

  269. gave his one and only. Yeah, but pastor, there's

  270. a lot of good people that have done a lot of

  271. good things. And may there be continual. May

  272. I be looking at them. May they be viewing this

  273. morning. May I be addressing them. Wonderful,

  274. great, good people that have done wonderful,

  275. great, good things and will continue to do them.

  276. That doesn't mean we follow them. That doesn't

  277. mean they paid the price for us. That doesn't

  278. mean they bore our sins in their own body when

  279. they hung on a cross between heaven and hell,

  280. between earth and heaven. No, no, no. No, only

  281. one did that. I said only one did that. Thank

  282. you for your enthusiasm this morning. Only one

  283. did that. For God so loved the world, He gave

  284. His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth

  285. in Him Him should not perish, but have everlasting

  286. life. For God sent not His Son to the world to

  287. condemn the world, but that the world through

  288. Him should be saved. Verse 18, He that believeth

  289. in Him is not condemned, but he that believeth

  290. not is condemned already, because he's not believed

  291. in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

  292. There's not two ways. There's only one. There's

  293. only one Savior and one Redeemer and one Son

  294. of God. John 1, verse 14, just a page or two

    John 1:14

  295. over to the left, and speaking about God's Son,

  296. the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and

  297. we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten

  298. of the Father, full of grace and truth. He didn't

  299. begat any others. He's the only. He's the only.

  300. It's getting simpler all the time. The fog and

  301. smog is clearing away and it's just getting crystal

  302. clear again. There's only one. Say it to your

  303. neighbor. Yeah, there's only one. Acts chapter

    Acts 4 chapter mention

  304. 4 and verse 12. I don't know why this one flips

  305. my switch so. It lights my fuse. It blows my

  306. whole dynamite up. I mean, there's one particular

  307. verse. Neither is there salvation in any other,

  308. for there is no other name. We just close it

  309. up and say, go home. That's enough Bible right

  310. there because you can't find any verse that contradicts

  311. these. You can't find anything? Well, yeah, but

  312. what about Elijah? Well, what about Mary? Well,

  313. yeah, but what about Hindu Handurishi? What about

  314. Mother Teresa? What about her? What about her?

  315. What about the prophet? What about him? God had

  316. one only begotten son, and whosoever believeth

  317. in him. Whosoever believeth in him. should not

  318. perish but have everlasting life. You believe

  319. in who you want. You can lift up who you want.

  320. You can honor and esteem who you want. You can

  321. go ahead and just worship who you want. But there's

  322. only one that leads to everlasting life, and

  323. His name is Jesus. He is the Christ, Son of the

  324. living God, the only Savior, and neither is there

  325. salvation in any other. There is no other name

  326. under heaven given among men whereby we must

  327. be saved. There's any salvation, it's going to

  328. come through Him. We must be saved through that

  329. name. Now you'd think that was enough, but we

  330. are barely scratching. We're just getting started

  331. here. Romans 6 .23 For the wages of sin is death,

  332. but the gift of God is eternal life through whichever

  333. means you choose. Through whichever plan you

  334. determine is best for you. See, I'm going to

  335. turn 65 in a couple of days. When they do that,

  336. then they say, okay, now you're eligible for

  337. Medicare. I don't know anything about Medicare.

  338. I didn't know I was eligible. I didn't know anything

  339. about it. All I know is a mail started coming

  340. like six months ago. Did I ask for this? I started

  341. throwing it away. I said, I didn't order this.

  342. And I threw it away. I said, I didn't sign up

  343. for this. And I threw it away. I said, why do

  344. they keep sending me this stuff? And finally,

  345. I called somebody. And they said, well, it's

  346. automatic. You're going to be 65. And you go

  347. on Medicare. It's automatic. And you just have

  348. to pick which plan you want. And there's plan

  349. A. And there's plan B. And there's plan C. And

  350. now there's plan D. And I think one of them is

  351. a combination of all the other ones. Listen,

  352. salvation is a whole lot simpler than that. The

  353. Bible was written. It's been printed for hundreds

  354. and hundreds of years. It was there for you all

  355. the time. And there's no plan A, plan B, plan

  356. C, plan D, comp them together. There's only one

  357. plan. Neither is there any salvation in any other

  358. name given under heaven among men. And by the

  359. wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is

  360. eternal life through, through. Jesus Christ our

  361. Lord. There is no salvation in any other. No

  362. plan B, no plan C, no plan D. No, if you don't

  363. get this one here, there's always one other way.

  364. Somebody get me an offering envelope. Come on,

  365. pick one out, somebody. I don't have one. Just

  366. get me an offering envelope. Wave it around.

  367. Just weave it around. Okay, here we go. Here

  368. we go. Stand up. Stand up. All right. All right.

  369. If you didn't like plan A, now we're going to

  370. go to plan B. And if you got $5 ,000, I'm going

  371. to have $5 ,000. $5 ,000 for salvation. Salvation

  372. is $5 ,000. Here's $5 ,000 for salvation. Let

  373. me hear it. You might as well sit down. Nobody's

  374. buying it. You can't buy your salvation. I don't

  375. care how much money you have. Stand up and make

  376. that $5 ,000, $5 million. See who can buy it.

  377. Stand up and make it $5 billion. See who can

  378. make it. It doesn't matter if you have $5 billion.

  379. You can't buy this salvation. You have $5 billion,

  380. $5 trillion, $5 million, $5 ,000, or $5 measly

  381. dollars in a moldy Lincoln. You cannot buy your

  382. salvation. That's not the way salvation comes.

  383. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God

  384. is eternal life through. The only one and only

  385. Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, we're going

  386. to study a little bit. That means you're going

  387. to have to open up that Bible. Romans chapter

    Romans 10 chapter mention

  388. 10. Romans chapter 10. I might be 10 % of the

    Romans 10 chapter mention

  389. way through my scriptures, so pray for me and

  390. turn quick. Romans 10. Romans 10, 1 through 11.

  391. Now, he's talking here to Jews. See, now... I

  392. know I'm going to open a can of worms when I

  393. do this, but you know what? So be it. So be it.

  394. There's only one salvation. Yes, there is only

  395. one salvation. Just look it up on the screen

  396. here. Romans chapter 3, 21 and 22 says, the righteousness

    Romans 3 chapter mention

  397. or right standing with God, that's the result

  398. of salvation. Without the law is manifested being

  399. witnessed by the law and prophets, even the righteousness

  400. of God, which is by faith in Jesus Christ. Unto

  401. ALL, unto all and upon all that believe, there

  402. is no difference. There is no difference. Now

  403. what he's talking about there is Jews and Gentiles.

  404. There is no difference. Now Romans, now why do

  405. I say that? Because there's a whole segment of

  406. Christianity today that tells us not to witness

  407. to the Jews. Oh yes, they're telling the Christian

  408. church do not witness. to Jews, they don't need

  409. to be saved. That's exactly what they say. That's

  410. exactly what they say because they're God's chosen

  411. people and they are already in. And they'll even

  412. quote you a couple Bible verses. Except they

  413. have to negate all the rest of the Bible. So

  414. with that, just look with me at Romans chapter

    Romans 10 chapter mention

  415. 10. He's writing this to his own people. Romans

    Romans 10:1

  416. 10 verse 1. My heart's desire and prayer for

  417. Israel. In the margin of my Bible. Somebody who

  418. can read, run up here. Run, quick, quick. Now,

  419. my study Bible says my heart's desire and prayer

  420. for Israel. See that reference? What does it

  421. say? My own people. My own people. He said, my

  422. heart's prayer for my own people is that they

  423. might what? See, not realize that they're already

  424. saved. There is not two ways. There's only one.

  425. There's only one. He came to his own people because

  426. they needed to be saved. And there's no difference.

  427. There's only one Savior, Jew or Gentile. My prayer

  428. for them is that they might be saved. But I bear

  429. them record, they have a zeal for God, but not

  430. according to knowledge. Boy, that can be said

  431. about religious people all over our nation, all

  432. over our continent. They believe in God and think

  433. that's enough. Listen very carefully to me if

  434. you're streaming right now. Because you believe

  435. in God is not enough. James, the book of James,

  436. right here in the New Testament, it says the

  437. demons even believe in God. James chapter 2.

    James 2 chapter mention

  438. The demons believe in God. That's not going to

  439. get them saved. You have to accept the gift that

  440. He sent. And that was His only Son. And it's

  441. a free gift. Put your faith in Jesus Christ and

  442. the work He did on the cross of Calvary and ask

  443. Him to become your Savior and live for Him as

  444. your Lord. Don't put your faith in yourself,

  445. in your grandparents' prayers, in your parents

  446. taking you to church, in your church membership,

  447. in your giving or your service. That's not enough.

  448. God loved the world so much He didn't give us

  449. a place to serve or something to give to. He

  450. gave us His only Son to die in our place and

  451. we put our faith in Him and accept Him. It's

  452. really a pretty simple exchange. God gave His

  453. Son and if you'll accept His gift, God will accept

  454. you. If you won't accept His gift and try to

  455. come in some other way, John chapter 10 said

    John 10 chapter mention

  456. you'll be found a thief and a robber. Except

  457. Jesus today. I bear them record they have a zeal

  458. for God, but not knowledgeably. They're ignorant

  459. of God's righteousness. Look at verse 3. They

  460. go about to establish their own righteousness.

  461. You can't establish your own righteousness. That's

  462. your works and your accomplishments. For Christ

  463. is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone

  464. that believes. Moses described the righteousness

  465. which is of the law, that the man that does those

  466. things must live by them. But the righteousness

  467. which is of faith speaks on this wise. Don't

  468. say in your heart, who shall ascend into heaven

  469. to bring Christ down again from above? Or who

  470. shall descend into the pit to bring Christ up

  471. again from the dead? But what does it say? The

  472. word is near you, even in your mouth and in your

  473. heart. That's the word of faith which we preach.

  474. That if you will confess with your mouth, not

  475. a church, Not a denomination. If you'll confess

  476. with your mouth, Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe

  477. in your heart that God raised Him, Him, H -I

  478. -M, Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For

  479. with the heart man believes under righteousness,

  480. with the mouth confessions made unto salvation.

  481. For the Scripture said, whosoever believes on

  482. Him, H -I -M, shall not be ashamed. There's only

  483. one. And whosoever believeth on Him shall not

  484. be ashamed. 1 Timothy chapter 2 and verse 5.

    1 Timothy 2 chapter mention

  485. There is one God and one mediator between God

  486. and man. The man, Christ Jesus. How many mediators?

  487. There's only one. John 14 verse 6. Jesus said,

    John 14:6

  488. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man

  489. comes to the Father except by Me. I'm the way,

  490. the truth, and the life. No man comes to the

  491. Father except through Him. John 17 and verse

  492. 3, For this is life eternal, that they may know

  493. You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom

  494. you have sent. How about this one? John 10 and

  495. verse 9. John 10 and verse 9. I am the door.

  496. I'm not one of the doors. I mean, how would you

  497. like to walk up to a house? My first job was,

  498. I was a paper boy. I guess that was my second

  499. job. My first job was throwing hay bales for

  500. my grandpa. Cleaning out calf pens. Worked for

  501. a week for 50 cents. Think that was a lot of

  502. money. And then that day it was. And my second

  503. job, I'll put it that way then, because when

  504. I was 11, I got a paper route. And some people

  505. wanted the paper at their front door. Some people

  506. wanted it at their side door. A couple of them

  507. wanted it at their back door. And you just put

  508. it at whatever door they wanted. I don't know

  509. what it would be like to walk up to a house and

  510. there have 27 different doors. and not know which

  511. door I was supposed to go to to deliver my newspaper.

  512. Well, I've got something that's a whole lot more

  513. important for you to determine today, and that's

  514. which door to go to. But the great thing is there's

  515. not 27 of them. There's only one. I am the door.

  516. I am the door. And if any man enter in, he shall

  517. be saved. There's only one door. You don't read

  518. anywhere in your Bible that there's multiple

  519. doors. There's only one. His name is Jesus. He's

  520. the way. No one comes to the Father except through

  521. Him. Here's a great verse, John 3 .36. How can

  522. anyone argue with this verse? John 3 .36, and

  523. then the next one I give you. How's there going

  524. to be any, you have to take your Bible, see why

  525. we had to establish this first? Because if you

  526. don't establish this, that what you believe is

  527. based on this right here, the Holy Scriptures,

  528. the written Word of God, chapter and verse. From

  529. the Gospels, from the Epistles, from the major

  530. prophets, from the Psalms and Proverbs, from

  531. the Pentateuch, from Genesis 1 all the way to

  532. Revelation 21. Nothing left out, nothing added

  533. to it. If that is not your foundation, then you're

  534. going to be wishy -washy. You're going to swallow

  535. anything. You're going to never be certain, stable,

  536. going to be unstable, going to be uncertain,

  537. and you're going to be unsure about what you

  538. believe. It's always going to be questionable.

  539. You'll be susceptible to doubt. You'll be susceptible

  540. to attack. But since the Word of God never changes,

  541. see, I try to be calm. And Reverend Kimberling's

  542. the only one who encourages me. He says, just

  543. forget it. Just don't even try to be calm. Just

  544. let it fly. I try to be calm, cool, and collected.

  545. Keep my voice down. Don't get excited. How can

  546. you not get excited about the eternal Word and

  547. the promises of God and the reality of everlasting

  548. life? How do you not get excited and enthused?

  549. What's it feel like to be 65? I don't know. I'm

  550. not 65 yet. I don't know. I've never been any

  551. less excited. I'm more excited about God's truth

  552. and about God's word and about God's promises

  553. and about the reality of standing before him

  554. and about the reality of being in his presence

  555. than I've ever been. Than I've ever been. If

  556. it offends you that I walk around and wave my

  557. arms and get enthused about God's word, it'll

  558. just have to be. I don't know how to be any other

  559. way. When I can't talk anymore, we'll quit. He

  560. that believeth on the Son has everlasting life.

  561. He that believeth not on the Son shall not see

  562. life. The wrath of God will remain upon him.

  563. How about this? Your Honor, I rest my case. Oh,

  564. excuse me, Your Honor. I don't rest my case.

  565. I've got one other verse. 1 John chapter 5. That

    1 John 5 chapter mention

  566. verse right there, John 3, 36 says, whoever has

  567. a son has life, but he that doesn't have the

  568. son has not eternal life. I'd sit right there.

  569. I'd look at her right across her little table

  570. in her little talk show, and I'd say, that's

  571. exactly what I mean. They're all going to hell,

  572. every one of them. I didn't determine that. That's

  573. not my plan, and that's not God's wish. But he

  574. sent his only begotten son. And there is no difference

  575. in culture, in society, in race, in nation. There's

  576. no difference. Well, that's just not what our

  577. family believes. Well, your family better get

  578. it straight really quick. That's not what our

  579. church believes. I don't know what your church

  580. believes. Now, I don't do this very often, but

  581. I'm going to do it right now. I don't even want

  582. to. But I'm good anyway. I'm going to share a

  583. story with you. I don't embrace very many people's

  584. stories or accounts of going to heaven or going

  585. to hell. But there are just certain elements

  586. of what some people share that are so in line

  587. with the scriptures. that I find myself at least

  588. considering them. And one of them was a Baptist

  589. preacher by the name of Howard Pittman. Brother

  590. Pittman died a year or two ago at 99. Howard

  591. Pittman was a Baptist preacher. He was in his

  592. car on the way down Louisiana or Mississippi,

  593. one of the two, and he was on his way down to

  594. file his papers to run for sheriff. He's a good

  595. man. And on his way, the main body trunk aorta

  596. in his body burst. He pulled over to the side

  597. of the road and started to bleed out. And help

  598. arrived, and they got him stabilized and transferred

  599. to the hospital. This is his testimony. I've

  600. heard it personally. I've also got it in writing.

  601. And on the table, he died. Left his body. ascended

  602. to heaven and was not allowed to go into heaven.

  603. Talked about the voice of the Lord coming up

  604. and over a wall that was so high you couldn't

  605. see the top of. Well, 1 ,500 miles, Revelation

  606. says, is the wall of that city. That'd be that

  607. high. And how the voice of the Lord came over

  608. that wall like all the water coming over Niagara

  609. Falls and just crushed him. As he waited outside

  610. that wall. And the Lord expressed to him. His

  611. disappointment in him. And his anger with him.

  612. Of his misrepresentation. To my people. And he

  613. is a Baptist preacher. He said I don't understand.

  614. Lord, I've only always served you. See, never,

  615. ever, ever should you think that your assessment

  616. of yourself is going to be what the Lord thinks

  617. about you when you meet him on that day. Every

  618. man proclaims his own goodness. He said it was

  619. the power of his words. I had to admit every

  620. single one was true. And it absolutely pressed

  621. and squashed all of the life out of me. And he

  622. said, when I did regain the strength to stand

  623. up, I knew that I would have to stand up and

  624. turn, accepting my judgment, and I'd have to

  625. walk away from the gate of the holy city and

  626. down and down and down to my eternal punishment

  627. for the disappointment that I'd been of the eternal

  628. Savior. But he said, instead, mercy stood me

  629. up. The mercy of God. The mercy of God. Stood

  630. him up and said, I'm going to send you back and

  631. I'm going to give you another chance. And you're

  632. going to go and you're going to preach the truth

  633. about salvation. You're going to preach the truth

  634. about the baptism with the Holy Spirit. You're

  635. going to preach the truth about deliverance from

  636. demons. And you're going to preach the truth

  637. about healing and miracles. For the rest of your

  638. life that I give you a second chance to. And

  639. he argued with the Lord. Now listen, all of this

  640. brings me to this one point for you. And for

  641. all of you. He argued with the Lord. He said,

  642. but Lord, you know my church. And we do believe

  643. in salvation and I've preached salvation my whole

  644. life. But you know the church that I pastor.

  645. We don't believe in the baptism with the Holy

  646. Spirit and speaking with other tongues and the

  647. gifts of the Spirit. My church doesn't believe

  648. that. And Lord, demons, I learned in seminary

  649. that demons don't exist. That there is no literal

  650. devil. All those are just principles to help

  651. people and get them to make right choices and

  652. live good lives. But we don't believe in that.

  653. And I didn't learn that in my seminary. He said

  654. that same voice came tumbling over the wall again.

  655. And he said, I know exactly what Paul meant when

  656. he said fire was flashing in his eyes. Because

  657. what he said to me was, I don't care what your

  658. church believes, what your church preaches, or

  659. what your seminary taught you. You'll not be

  660. judged on what your seminary taught you or what

  661. your church believes. You will be judged by what

  662. my word says. Along with every other human being.

  663. Every single human will be judged by what the

  664. Bible says. Not by what you think about it. Not

  665. by what your pastor says about it. Not by what

  666. your understanding of it is. We'll be judged

  667. by what his word says. Read your Bible. It's

  668. exactly what it says judgment day will be. It

  669. is the only standard that every human being will

  670. be compared to on that day. Now, not only did

  671. the Lord send him back to preach. He's just got

  672. one of the most outstanding testimonies. The

  673. angel took him for a tour through the demon world.

  674. And then got him back in his body. He was covered

  675. up. He was dead. And they pulled everything,

  676. shut everything off, and left the room. And I

  677. don't know how many minutes, maybe somebody else

  678. remembers, 37 minutes or whatever it was. He

  679. pulled the sheet off and got off of the bed.

  680. Went walking out, totally healed, went preaching.

  681. Spent the rest of his days preaching to people.

  682. Demons are real. Here's the way demons work.

  683. Taught us a lot about the whole demon realm,

  684. how temptation works, how you're never, ever,

  685. ever cognizant of them pulling right up behind

  686. you and whispering in your ear and projecting

  687. thoughts in the forms of temptation and how some

  688. demons are vile and ugly and smelly and repulsive

  689. and others are dressed in fine suits and they

  690. deal with things like covetousness and greed

  691. and love of money and others are in the political

  692. realm. and others are things like jealousy and

  693. envy, and some of them are in churches, and people

  694. are just... He said, I didn't believe in that.

  695. I mean, when you do that, you might as well just

  696. resign your Baptist church, and you might as

  697. well just give all your papers back, and you

  698. might as well just follow God, which is what

  699. he did. I mean, it's an interesting story. I

  700. don't expect you to believe it. I'll just tell

  701. you that the statement that he made is accurate.

  702. The Lord doesn't care what we believe. He doesn't

  703. care what our statement of faith says. He doesn't

  704. care what our guiding principles are. He doesn't

  705. care what grandma and auntie taught us. We're

  706. going to give an account based on what his word

  707. says. It's the only thing that will never change.

  708. Where did we turn? 1 John 5. Come on, smile.

  709. Verse 11. 1 John 5, 11 and 12. How can you argue

  710. with the word of God? Well, see, I've had people

  711. do this. People call me on the telephone. Call

  712. me on the telephone. Hey, can I talk to Pastor

  713. Clements? Yeah, what do you want to talk about?

  714. Well, I want to tell him I don't believe the

  715. Bible. Oh, yeah. I mean, the staff. I don't know

  716. why they put those calls through. I think they

  717. all get outside my door. I'm not making it up.

  718. They call me on the phone and say, well, I just

  719. want you to know that our church doesn't believe

  720. like you do. Well, that's okay. I don't care.

  721. I really don't. I mean, I wish you embraced God's

  722. word. Well, we believe that parts of it are true.

  723. Well, I mean, that's your issue. I mean, go ahead

  724. and... Take a chance. I mean, throw the dice.

  725. Flip the coin. I don't really want to. Do you?

  726. Do you want a chance your eternity on flipping

  727. a coin? How many of you would go to heaven or

  728. hell right now if I had the coin, and if you

  729. called it in midair, you'd be willing to take

  730. that chance? I'm not going there. Wouldn't you

  731. rather accept the free gift of salvation purchased

  732. for all, take it by faith, and live the whole

  733. rest of your life persecuted, afflicted, tried,

  734. tempted, having to stand, do spiritual warfare,

  735. pray your heart out, burn your knees out on the

  736. floor, pray. Wouldn't you rather fast? Wouldn't

  737. you rather just have to battle through and love

  738. the unloving and pray for those who hate you?

  739. Wouldn't you rather just take a sure thing? No

  740. matter what it costs, absolutely. There's no

  741. chance that God's Word is true. It's true from

  742. the beginning. And this is the record that God

  743. has given to us eternal life. He provided it.

  744. And this life is in His S -O -N. Singular, there

  745. is only one. Take a deep breath. Look at verse

  746. 12. He that hath the Son hath life. And he that

  747. hath not the Son of God hath not life. Pretty

  748. simple. I said pretty simple. One way, no salvation

  749. in any other. He's the door. He's the only one.

  750. John 11, 25. You thought I was done? Oh, no,

  751. no, no, no, no. I am the resurrection and the

  752. life. He that believeth in M -E, though he were

  753. dead, yet shall he live. There's only one. Acts

    Acts 16 chapter mention

  754. chapter 16, 30 and 31. Acts 16. This is more

  755. than two or three witnesses right here. And then

  756. just coupled with the fact that there is no verse

  757. anywhere in all of the Scriptures that contradicts

  758. any one of these, there's not even one verse.

  759. Acts 16, 30 and 31. And He brought them out and

  760. says, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Hold

  761. it, hold it, hold it. Wait, wait. The answer

  762. to this question, whatever it is, If it's going

  763. to conform to modern day, even Christianity,

  764. even Christian believing churches, if it's going

  765. to conform to the United States of America and

  766. much of the world, the answer to this question

  767. is going to have to have more than one choice.

  768. If it's going to conform to what the broad way

  769. and the wide gate is preaching today on the internet,

  770. then it's going to have to have door number one,

  771. number two, number three, and number four. It's

  772. going to have to be multiple choice. It's going

  773. to have to have many paths up the mountain. But

  774. if the answer to this question in your Bible,

  775. uncontradicted by any other scripture in any

  776. other chapter and any other verse, if there's

  777. only one answer to this question, then you better

  778. be in the middle of that gate on the center of

  779. that road. What must I do to be saved? Answer.

  780. Next verse. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

  781. and you shall be saved. Door number one. Choice

  782. A. The only one. The only one. Colossians 1.

  783. Colossians chapter 1. Verse 19 and 20. See, we

    Colossians 1 chapter mention

  784. could go back, and this whole section is talking

  785. about Jesus Christ. Verse 18 says He's the head

  786. of the body. The beginning, the firstborn from

  787. the dead, that in all things He might have the

  788. preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in

  789. Him should all fullness dwell, and having made

  790. peace through the blood of His cross by Him to

  791. reconcile all things to Himself, whether they

  792. be things in earth or in heaven, by who? By Him.

  793. By Him to reconcile all things to Himself. See,

  794. there's only one. Him. Ephesians 2 and verse

  795. 18. Ephesians 2, 18. For through Him, H -I -M.

  796. Through Him. Not through a variety of paths all

  797. which lead up the mountain. No, through Him we

  798. have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Romans

    Romans 5 chapter mention

  799. chapter 5. Do a little more study before we go.

  800. Turn over to Romans 5 with me. This is a whole

  801. sermon right here by itself. Romans 5, verses

    Romans 5:6–21

  802. 6 through 21. Romans 5, 6 through 21. For when

  803. we were without strength in due time, Christ

  804. died for the ungodly. I'm sorry, whoever else,

  805. whatever other religious heroes you have, they

  806. didn't die for the ungodly. They all died because

  807. it's appointed unto all men once to die. But

  808. only one of them came out of his grave three

  809. days later. Only one of them walked around preaching.

  810. Only one of them was ascended into heaven. Only

  811. one of them sat down at the right hand of God.

  812. Only one. Only one. Christ died for the ungodly.

  813. Verse 8, God commended His love toward us while

  814. we were yet sinners. Christ died for us. Verse

  815. 9, much more than being justified by His blood.

  816. H -I -S. His blood. We shall be saved from wrath

  817. through H -I -M. Him. While we were enemies,

  818. we were reconciled to God by the death of His

  819. Son. Much more being reconciled, we shall be

  820. saved by His life. Not only so, but we joy in

  821. God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we

  822. have now received the atonement. Wherefore, as

  823. by one man sin entered the world, and death by

  824. sin, so death passed upon all men, in that all

  825. have sinned. Verse 14, nevertheless, death reigned

  826. from Adam to Moses. Verse 15, not as the offense,

  827. so also is the free gift. If the offense of one,

  828. many were made dead, much more by the grace of

  829. God and the gift of grace, which is by one man,

  830. Jesus Christ has abounded unto many. Not as it

  831. was one that sinned, so is the gift for the judgment

  832. was one to condemnation, but the free gift. is

  833. of many offenses to justification. For if by

  834. one man's offense death reigned, much more they

  835. which receive abundance of grace and the gift

  836. of righteousness shall reign in life by one.

  837. There's only one. Jesus Christ. Therefore, as

  838. by the offense of one judgment it came to all

  839. men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness

  840. of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification

  841. of life. For as by one man's disobedience many

  842. remain sinners, by the obedience of one many

  843. shall be made righteous. Moreover, the law entered

  844. that the offense may abound, where sin abounded,

  845. grace much more abounded, that as sin hath reigned

  846. unto death, even so might grace reign through

  847. righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ

  848. the Lord. Romans 3, 24 -26. Being justified freely

  849. by His grace through the redemption that is in

  850. Jesus Christ. Whom God has set forth to be a

  851. propitiation through faith in His blood. To declare

  852. His righteousness for the remission of sins that

  853. are past. Through the forbearance of God to declare,

  854. I say at this time, His righteousness that He

  855. might be just and the justifier of him that believes

  856. in Jesus. We just came through the Christmas

  857. season. Matthew chapter 1 and verse 21. Matthew

    Matthew 1 chapter mention

  858. 1, 21. The angel speaking to Joseph. And he says,

  859. and she shall bring forth a son. A son. She didn't

  860. have twins. It wasn't you have to believe in

  861. Jesus and His cousin John. You don't have to

  862. believe on His four brothers and we have them

  863. listed in other Scriptures. She'll bring forth

  864. a son and you'll call His name? Jesus. With a

  865. little more authority, you'll call His name?

  866. Jesus. Really loud so the entire TV audience

  867. can hear you say it? Jesus. They'll call His

  868. name Jesus for He, H -E, shall save His people

  869. from their sins. He shall do that. He's the only

  870. one. John 1 .21, when Jesus comes on the scene

  871. and John the Baptist looks over there, And he

  872. says, are you the one? And John the Baptist says,

  873. uh -uh, no, I'm not. No, it's not me. It's not

  874. me. I'm standing up here quoting John the Baptist

  875. this morning. It's not me. I said, it's not me.

  876. It's not me. There's only one. And in verse 29,

  877. he sees him coming. They ask him, are you the

  878. one? And he said, I'm not the one. But in verse

  879. 29, he sees Jesus coming and he says, Behold

  880. the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the

  881. world. 1 John 2, verses 1 and 2. 1 John 2, 1

    1 John 2:1

  882. and 2. My little children, these things I write

  883. that you sin not. If any man sins, we have an

  884. advocate. Not two advocates. Not three advocates,

  885. not 12 advocates. We have an advocate with the

  886. Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Verse 2.

  887. He is the sacrifice for our sins, and not ours

  888. only, but also the sins of the whole world. Well,

  889. yeah, He's your Savior, but we've got another

  890. Savior. No, no, no, no. There was only one sacrifice.

  891. There was only one Savior, and His blood was

  892. shed for the sins of the whole world. Whole world.

  893. A little more Bible study before we leave. Hebrews

    Hebrews 9 chapter mention

  894. chapter 9. Hebrews chapter 9. Right into chapter

    Hebrews 9 chapter mention

  895. 10. Just a few verses here. Hebrews 9, 11 and

  896. 12. But Christ, being come a high priest of good

  897. things to come, by a greater and more perfect

  898. tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say,

  899. not of this building, neither by the blood of

  900. bulls and goats, but by His own blood, He entered...

  901. Now say this next word with me. He entered in

  902. once. Why is that important, Pastor? Because

  903. there are places teaching today that every time

  904. we repent, every time we ask forgiveness, every

  905. time we appropriate the blood, He has to be punished

  906. again. Absolute nonsense. He entered once into

  907. the holy place having obtained an eternal redemption

  908. for us. Verse 24, Christ has not entered into

  909. a holy place made with hands, but He entered

  910. into heaven itself to appear in the presence

  911. of God for us. Verse 28 says it again, Christ

  912. was once offered to bear the sins of many, that

  913. unto them that look for Him He'll appear a second

  914. time without sin unto salvation. Skip down to

  915. chapter 10. Look at verse 10. For by the which

  916. will we were sanctified through the offering

  917. of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.

  918. For every priest. Now watch this. Help you with

  919. your Bible. Ready? I said, are you ready? For

  920. every priest. What's the next word there? Does

  921. what? Why is that? Why is that important? Why

  922. is that important? Every priest stands. They

  923. signify by remaining standing that their job

  924. isn't done. Keep reading. For every priest stands

  925. daily ministering and offering oft times the

  926. same sacrifices which can never take away sins.

  927. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice

  928. for sins forever, sat down. He's the only priest

  929. that ever sat down. He sat down. They all stood

  930. and he sat down. You might have another priest,

  931. but he's still standing up. His sacrifices are

  932. still being offered. He's not been perfected.

  933. Our priest sat down. He offered his blood and

  934. he sat down. Every other priest stands. Signifying

  935. they can't take away sin. But this man, after

  936. he'd offered one sacrifice for sins forever,

  937. sat down at the right hand of God. Henceforth

  938. expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

  939. And by one offering, he's perfected forever.

  940. Them that are sanctified. Revelation chapter

    Revelation 1 chapter mention

  941. 1 and verse 5. Jesus, the only one. The door.

  942. The only way. This Jesus Christ, the faithful

  943. witness, the first begotten from the dead, the

  944. prince of the kings of the earth, unto Him who

  945. loved us and washed us from our sins in His own

  946. blood. Isaiah 53, verse 6, the Lord has laid

    Isaiah 53:6

  947. upon Him. H -I -M, not your church, not your

  948. doctrine, not your theology, not your favorite

  949. translation. That's not going to get you to heaven,

  950. your favorite translation. Jesus and his sacrifice

  951. and his shed blood are the only thing taking

  952. you to heaven. There is no other sacrifice. There's

  953. no other name under heaven. There is no salvation

  954. in any other. God laid on him the iniquity of

  955. us all. On him. He bore, 1 Peter 2 .24, He bore

  956. our sins in His own body on the tree that we

  957. being dead to sin should live under righteousness.

  958. By His stripes we were healed. And 2 Corinthians

    2 Corinthians 5:21

  959. 5, verse 21, He who knew no sin became sin for

  960. us. That we might become the righteousness of

  961. God in Him. In Him. In Him. The way, the truth,

  962. the life. The only way. The door. The Savior.

  963. The only begotten Son of God. The only one in

  964. whom is life. In Him. In Him alone. I said in

  965. Him. In Him alone. The 17th verse of that chapter

  966. says, if any man be in Christ, he's a brand new

  967. creature. If any man be in Christ, the only faith,

  968. the only religion that claims the new birth,

  969. a brand new creation for anyone accepting Him.

  970. Old things all completely pass away. You're past.

  971. Expunged. Extinguished. You're pardoned. You're

  972. cleansed. You're washed. You're purified. You're

  973. justified. Just as if you'd never committed those

  974. sins. You're pure in the sight of God. Cleaner

  975. than freshly fallen snow. All right. If you want

  976. to, you can close your notes. We're done. But

  977. I've got a couple bonus ones I'm going to read

  978. just for me. Isaiah. Three of them in Isaiah.

  979. I love these verses. I just love these verses.

  980. I just love them. Isaiah 43, verse 11. I just

    Isaiah 43:11

  981. love them. I was just relishing these last night.

  982. I thought, I'm not going to. Oh, yes, I am. I

  983. said, I am. I, even I, am the Lord. Beside me,

  984. there is no Savior. I am the Lord and beside

  985. me there is no Savior. See, it's not about what

  986. we like. It's not about what we can reason in

  987. our mind and make sense of. This is God's plan.

  988. This is God's creation. This is God's human race.

  989. This is God's plan of redemption. And He determined

  990. and decided that the only one that would be glorified

  991. in the end of all things would be His Son, who

  992. His desire and heart is that He be exalted and

  993. lifted up. He'll be the only one that people

  994. will kneel and bow before and confess His Lordship.

  995. He'll be the only one glorified and magnified

  996. and exalted in eternity. He's the only Savior.

  997. Isaiah 45, 21 and 22. Tell ye, bring them near.

  998. Let them take counsel together. Who hath declared

  999. this from ancient times? Who hath told it from

1000. that time? Have not I the Lord? And there is

1001. no God beside me. A just God and a Savior. There

1002. is none beside me. In 44 verse 6. One of my life

1003. verses. Thus saith the Lord, the King of Israel,

1004. the Redeemer, the Lord of hosts. I am the first.

1005. I am the last. Beside me, there is no God. I

1006. am the first. I am the last. Thank you. Beside

1007. me. There is no God. There is no other Savior.

1008. There is no other plan of redemption. Go ahead

1009. and roll the dice and flip the coin and take

1010. your chance if you want. But there's a lot better

1011. way there. You don't have to take a chance. He

1012. made a plan of salvation that is available for

1013. every man, of every race, of every creed. Every

1014. age group. Of every gender. Of every generation.

1015. Of every society. No matter what your background,

1016. religious or not. The only way to God. The only

1017. way to eternal life. The only way to salvation.

1018. The only way to heaven. No matter what we think

1019. about it. Doesn't matter what our seminaries

1020. teach and what our churches embrace. What our

1021. well -meaning preachers communicate. The Bible

1022. is absolute in its clarity and it never varies

1023. whatsoever a little or a lot. It teaches there

1024. is one way to everlasting life and His name is

1025. the Lord Jesus Christ. It's not a creed. It's

  1026. not a pattern. It's not a set of steps. It's

  1027. not a doctrine. It's a person. God's Son is real.

1028. God's Son is the Savior. You can accept and embrace

1029. and receive Him today. You don't have to put

1030. it off until tomorrow. It doesn't matter what

1031. church you're from. It doesn't matter what denomination

1032. you're a part of. It doesn't matter if you just

1033. came home from your service and you are viewing

1034. the last part of this one. Salvation is a gift

1035. and it's offered to you. Across this sanctuary,

1036. across this region, across this nation, and across

1037. this globe, the free gift of God is salvation

1038. through His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord, and it's

1039. accepted by faith. And you don't need to make

1040. a lot of promises that you most likely are going

1041. to fail at anyway. All you need to do is humble

1042. yourself and bow your heart and accept from the

1043. great God of heaven the gift of everlasting life

1044. that He made available to you through His Son.

1045. Put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Not

1046. yourself. Not your works. Not your accomplishments.

1047. Not the generations before you. Not your intent

1048. to do better. Put your faith solely and 100 %

1049. on Jesus Christ the Lord. And what He did for

1050. you, dying in your place to pay for your sins.

1051. Your sins are not the issue. He died to pay for

1052. those. Accept that. Accept and receive that.

1053. Pray to Him right now and ask Him. Ask Him. Ask

1054. God the Father. Ask God the Father to save you

1055. through the work of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

1056. Believe that He died in your place. Believe that

1057. God raised Him from the dead. And confess right

1058. out loud with your mouth, today I make Jesus

1059. Christ my Lord. Confess it out loud with your

1060. mouth. Today Jesus Christ is my Lord. My faith

1061. is in Him and in what He did. And just realize

1062. this. Just realize this. It doesn't have to be

  1063. a religious prayer. It shouldn't be a memorized

1064. prayer that somebody else wrote. Make it from

1065. your heart. and confess Jesus Christ as your

1066. Lord. That's the first step. That's just the

1067. very first step. Then He wants you to grow. Then

1068. He wants you to humble yourself. Then He wants

1069. you to yield your life to His will. He wants

1070. to really be your Lord. He'll walk with you.

1071. He'll speak in the quiet chambers of your heart.

1072. You're a candidate to be filled with His Holy

1073. Spirit after that. But it all starts with recognizing

  1074. the Bible's right. The Bible's true. The Bible's

1075. perfect. And the Bible says there's only one

1076. way. Not two, not three, not four, not one and

1077. a half. Not one with a few things added to it.

1078. There's only one way. His name is Jesus. He's

1079. the Christ. God's only begotten Son. He is Lord

1080. of all. I hope you've enjoyed church this morning.

1081. I'm very grateful for... A voice to share the

1082. truth. Don't you love truth? Yeah, amen. Amen.

1083. It's so clear. Isaiah said it's so clear not

1084. even a wayfaring fool would err therein. It's

1085. really crystal clear. Might not be popular, but

1086. that's okay. I'm not looking for the wide gate.

1087. I'm looking for heaven. Let's go together. Thank

1088. you for watching The Word of the Lord. A weekly

1089. television broadcast of Living Word Christian
