Healing when feeling failure and hopelessness - Dr. Reginald Klimionok

My sister, he just told me she in this service right now, she had remarkable healing. Just

took place in the middle, she wanted to late to testify, too many testifying, but she had

a most outstanding healing tonight. The condition that's bothered her of the back and shin next

week. But wonderful healing. Praise God. Can you say amen? God just touched her and it's

definite healing. She was in agony when he even did the bed properly. And God healed

her. Amen. Praise God. I have a message tonight. It's a very, in my estimation, a very crucial

message. Healing when I failed, healing when everything goes wrong, how this works and

what to do and how it all operates in our lives. Let me share with you the story of

a man that aptly illustrates what I want to share with you tonight. He's a man that felt

clearly the call of God over his life. His early life was a phenomenal success. When

he was born, he experienced amazing protection. In his early days of his life, he witnessed

the hand of God upon his life and even his birth. And that was miraculous. The scenes

in those days were like the days of Hitler. People were being butchered by the thousands,

especially if they were born. The midwives were instructed to kill them. However, his

parents prayed for him and God worked so miraculously that he came to the line of leadership of

that very nation. He reached the highest position of any man in that land. Indeed, when the

bachelors would come, he would be there with others. Who am I talking about? Others to

greet him, to greet them. And then he began to feel the sense of the call of God in his

life. And he was called to a, because he was an Israelite, a Jew, to a nation that was

so oppressed by the Egyptians, yet he was an Egyptian, yet he was right at the top of

that other nation. When he tried to fulfill the call, everything went wrong. The people

that should have been with him turned against him. He tried to help a man and he killed

a man and because of that his very own people started talking about it. And soon after it

became headlines and he had to get out of that nation and get to find his way and he

got into wilderness. As far as he's concerned, the plan of his life was over. From the highest

position of the land to unlimited possibilities, to the potential of marrying the greatest

young ladies of that nation, to a place now of seclusion, where he marries a shepherd's

girl and forgets about the call of God in his life. And yet through him, God rewrites

the pages of history and God literally through him places a code of ethics known as the Decalogue

of the Ten Commandments that influenced the world. His name is Moses. And I want to share

with you how God turned and what he did and what he felt and what he went through before

the tragedies became the great triumph. There's nothing more devastating than to feel, I am

in, I failed. I'm under difficulties. I'm under trials. Most of us in this congregation

can go back to incidents in our life where we feel the failures being upon us. Some are

extreme horrific. Some are being in confusion about it all. Maybe feeling a failure about

being a husband or a wife or a mother or a father. Stumped. Some live with terrible emotions.

Somehow the past, they feel, affects the present. I'm interested in emotional reactions and

what to do tonight. For example, another example, she was a minister's wife. She began to manifest

unusual behavior patterns. I counseled this person. She began to do almost loose, immoral

attitudes. She never committed adultery, but her actions were questionable. When we counseled

her, we discovered there were things in her childhood that terribly affected her present

life. It's true. Many people that are prostitutes today can go back to being molested by a father

or somebody else. The past, somehow, is connected with the present. Good or bad. We cannot live

in moods and not affect others and ourselves. We cannot live in deep emotional traumas without

having the horrific side effects of that. We can remain moody and depressed and negative

and not affect things around us and affect ourselves. My question, firstly, is what did

Moses go through? What feelings possessed his life? I try to hunt that down and see

what happened to him and maybe identify with our life and our situation and our circumstances.

Firstly, Moses lost his sense of direction and purpose. He lost where he was heading.

He was in the desert. He lost his very reason, must have, after such an incredible background

and just being a shepherd in the wilderness, not for 10 months, 10 weeks, but 40 years.

He must have felt, somebody beautifully said this, there's nothing more devastating than

to be called upon to do something and to feel that you're not adequate to do it because

you failed in the past. There's nothing worse than that. Early life, he was schooled in

the court of Pharaoh. He finds God's purpose. He's raised up as a deliverer with great enthusiasm.

He marches into his future. He now is fleeing into the desert, disillusioned, confused,

wondering what's going on. He gives up all hope. He marries a Midianite. He's willing

just to settle down and remain where he is. Dr. Elton Trueblood said this, man can live

well even poverty or cannot live well, even poverty abundance unless he sees some real

meaning and purpose in life. Powerful. Dr. William Sadler said this and noted psychiatrists

echoed this truth. Happiness is going somewhere wholeheartedly without regret or reservation.

Dr. Robert Steinberg, a Jewish psychologist, a convert to Christianity said, one of the

major problems I'm facing in my counseling is that most Christians or many Christians,

families have no clear defined goals. They get up in the morning, they go to work, go

home at the end of the day, go to bed, get up in the morning, go to work, go home, go

bed and long not be for long they are set in boredom and life loses its luster. Am I

speaking to somebody today? If I ask you what's the purpose and goal of your life, what is

your purpose and goal? Can you define it? How excited are you about life and its future?

Lord Jesus had a desire to run away from it all. If I can get out of all this, he became

a fugitive of Pharaoh and of justice. If that happens, people didn't care that he didn't

stand with him. His desire, he thought he was going to be the great leader of Israel.

He thought God would raise him up in the palaces of Pharaoh to become the leader of this nation

and take them out of bondage. God didn't work like this. The psalmist had similar feelings

in Psalm 55, 6 to 8. He said, Lord, that I had the wings like a dove, but then I would

fly away, be at rest. I want to get away from all this. Have you ever felt that? Come on,

I have. Lord, that I would wander off and remain in the wilderness. I just want to get

out of it all. Some of us do this without thoughts. Some thoughts are totally unrealistic,

people's lives. They dream the impossible, the bizarre, the illusions of grandeur, whatever,

and some are their scape and their thoughts. Some escape with unclean thoughts, sexual

thoughts. Have you ever seen a mentally disordered person? They're in some home like this clutching

something unrealistically, talking to themselves in their extreme, of course, and because they're

trying to hide in that need. Being reminded of the tremendous power that Satan has in

the mind. The vehicle that the mind has, that's why my wife said, get that book, because it's

designed for you and do it deliberately. What the book says in Philippians 4, 18, it says,

what are the things that are true? What are the things that are honest? What are the things

that are good, just, and pure, and are lovely? What are the things that are of good report?

There will be any virtue in the praise. Think on these things. And Isaiah 26, 3 says, thou

shall keep in the perfect peace whose mind is safe. The word mind, my wife pointed out

to me one day in her studies, is literally the word imagination. Keep your imagination

set on God. Keep your thoughts set on God, and they'll come to pass. We don't realize

the subtlety of the enemy to destroy us, to undermine us, to take away from us, and we

come into resentment. Some of us run away in our emotions, whenever that our emotions

be exposed. And yet for us to be free, we have to let our emotions be exposed to ourselves

and to God, to be released from all this. Let God break into your life. Some feel, you

know, you felt weeping like somebody said tonight, sobbing and so on. But maybe, very

powerful. May not be bad at all. May be good for you. Can you say amen? It may be great

things for you. Like the psalmist who failed in Psalm 51, and expressed feelings of brokenness,

of humility, of crying out and finally says, restore to me the joy of thy something. Often

the psalmist expresses his deepest emotions, totally exposes his feelings unto God. And

it's wonderful because he knew how to heal and not just be attacked. Can you say amen?

Someone physically, I want another job. Maybe another city is the solution to my problems.

Maybe a different wife, God have mercy. One is bad in the homin-sauces. I don't mean

that. I don't mean that. And someday when we arrive at this place and unpack our suitcase,

the same problem is there. It still hasn't left us. Come on church. Joan of Foody could

run away. Numbness can run away. We do this in our personality. We may live in a home

and family, but we're like a recluse, introverted. Our wife hardly knows us. Our husband hardly

knows us. Our children wonder who we are. The moods of recluse, the lack of communication,

the abruptness of the answers. We've lost it in some ways. We're running away from

ourselves. We make foolish decisions. We find ourselves in the backside of the desert. I

want to tell you God hadn't forgotten Moses. He hasn't forgotten any one of us. Can you

say amen? And God says, Moses, where are you? Moses. And Moses said, here I am. I'm the

God of your father. I'm the God of Abraham. Now notice it says Moses was afraid to look

at God. I wonder why. He must have felt God, oh, he felt like that. Oh, God, Lord, this

is too much for me. I failed you. I'm not what I should be. I don't feel I've made

any worth of my life. Hello? I haven't achieved the success. I have no self-worth, no value,

no self-esteem, no purpose, no direction. Moses thought he failed. He missed God. He

ran away, changed his lifestyle. He became a shepherd and a prince in a palace. But God

never forgot Moses. I want to tell you God has never forgotten you. No matter what fears

or frustrations or disappointments and hopelessness and despair you may have, God has never forgotten

you. Come on, church. He's got a plan for your life. Amen. Now when this happened, this

is a very powerful point to be. Moses was confused concerning God. When you're in this

state you don't understand God. I know what I'm talking about. Because he said to God,

who are you? He said, what's your name? I thought you were the deliverer. I don't really

know who you are because the name of God would reveal the character of God to him. So in

the end he did talk to God and said, what's your name? You see, I really felt that I knew

your purpose. I don't know you. How many felt that? Let's be honest. What's God like to

us? And there's many things God had to straighten out in the life of Moses. The damages of his

emotions were affecting him. Notice God can still use us after we have failed. Can somebody

say amen? He was confused about his calling. Lord, I tried and I failed. He was saying

to God when God said, girl, how will this work this time? I blew it the last time. People

turned against me. I was alone. And he lost his worth and his value. Self-worth is crucial.

Can you say amen? He lost his sense of value. And I wonder why now he couldn't speak. I

cannot speak. You know, in the courts of Pharaoh there was a mighty man. Did all the stuff

get hold of him until he said, send Aaron. Send anybody. Leave me alone. He lost his

sense of value. But God had never given up. Amen. God never gives up on us. He wants to

mold us into greatness. He wants to bring us to the next level if we let him. And God

wants to use us. Power. That brother had in the service this morning, somebody was touched

awesomely in that worship by the power of God. God wants to use us. Powerfully. All

of us. Can you say amen? But somehow he lost it. And I personally feel it's very impediment

of the speech came out of the environment, out of all that hopelessness. Hello, church.

Where he didn't know what was going on. It's easy for us to think of God in human terms.

We've been betrayed. We've been hurt. Give me 1 Corinthians 13, William the Bible, then

give it to me here. We feel we've been betrayed. Unless you want to read it yourself, you're

welcome. But there's no microphone near you there. You see, we think God is like us. But

what is God? God is what? God is love. Amplify the Bible, please, darling. Thank you. And

what is love like? This is what God says love is like. Thank you, darling.

Oh, here we are. Sorry. It says this. Love endures long and is patient and kind. Love

is never envious nor bores out with jealousy. It's not vainglorious, it does not display

itself haughtily. It's not conceited or arrogant and so on. It doesn't rule you or unman it

and unbecoming. Love, God's love doesn't assist in its own right. It's not fretful or resentful.

It takes no account of evil come to it. It doesn't rejoice in injustice or unrighteousness.

Love bears up under anything and everything that comes its way. It believes the best of

every person. What is God? God is what? Love. It hopes our faithless under old circumstances.

What is God? God is love. Love never fails. What is God? God is love. And all these other

things about love. And that's the God. God is love. That's how he thinks. We can't think

of God in human terms. We're going to think of him in his terms. Our worth to God is incalculable.

That's going to be one of the... If you've ever cried tears in heaven, that's what you

cry about. That you never realized how much God wants to use you and carefully loves you

and wanted to take you further. You see, we don't think God is with us when we're in the

desert. In the palace, yes. When we have great success, yes. But in the desert, in loneliness

and confusion, God was with him. In this terrible place, so to speak. Remember, it was not for

10 weeks, but 40 years. God was still with him. God was still working. God's hand was

still on his life. That's a bit too tough for me, in honesty. One year is enough. Two

years is enough. But you see, God is with us. God rarely gives up on his purpose for

our lives, even after years. He doesn't want our cleverness, our ability. He wants our

unitness, our availability. God will always use you if you listen to him. Our circumstances

may be though... You see, in the wilderness, we say, God, where are you? Can I just suggest

one thing in Exodus 25 to 26? Never hate God. Never, no matter what you go through, never

get angry and hate God. Because once you do that, you close the book. You totally close

the book. Never hate God. God blesses those, it says, to a thousand generation of them

that love him. Never, never hate God. Love him. You may understand the circumstances,

but God is love. And God has incredible plans. Now, you may be in the desert. I may be in

the desert. What I believe God for. But I'm not giving up. God loves me. Come on, church.

God's got a plan for our lives. Can you say amen? God's got a purpose. We must see it.

Moses must have felt the lack of acceptance. He had got to go and do it. And he said, listen,

God, what did he mean in the first place? His own people denied him. They sold him out.

And when he got back there, they literally did it almost again. He went to Pharaoh and

Pharaoh imposed more work upon them. And the elders got mad at him. What are you doing?

You get out of this place. You're hindering us. We like our bondage. We don't want any

more. He didn't find it easy. Come on, church. I wonder how many feel that appreciated at

times. You feel nobody really cares. People can be so cruel. They're blamed when they

got in the desert. Remember who they blamed? They blamed Moses. You got to see Moses. They

were very unusual people, the Israelites, the Jews. Like fasting at church. No, no,

no. Not quite. But you know, this morning I went to Ruth Divid and her husband. We talked

about things and people, you know, we're all funny. Except me. I'm only joking. And

God says, what's your name? He says, say the I am sent you. I continue to be what I

God has never changed. Amen, church. What he wants to remember. We talked the other

day. Nobody had seen God until Jesus came. What was Jesus like? He loved the unloved

me. He cared for people that no one cared for. I'm trying to enter the emotions of

Moses. I'm trying to enter into your emotions tonight. See where you're at. See whether

we can stop you escaping within yourself. Some escape and say, I just escape and do

nothing. He's going to sit here and stay and have wonderful ministry. That'll do. No,

no, no, no, no. God's got more for you. Can you say amen? And God says, what's in your

hand? He said, there's old shepherd's rod. And God transformed Israel, or rather Egypt,

and even use the rod to part the waters of the Red Sea. Let me ask you, what's in your

hand? What's in your heart? Say it's nothing. God can use the nothing if you can give it

to him. Can you say amen? Thank you for enthusiasm. God can use you just as you are. In the midst

of this watch Satan's attack, he's very cunning. He's very cunning, very cunning. If you listen

to God, you'll hear him say, I can use you in your failure. I can use you even when you

sense that guilt over your life. I can do anything. Come on, Church. God uses people.

It's strange how Christians are. We accept the Catholic community messed up. But if somebody

messes up amongst us, finish. We accept others who've made a mess and God's hand is on them

and does great things. And what happens then, then when our religiosity comes out. God can

use anybody. Come on, Church. Whoever you are, he knows your name. Hello? He knows where

you live. He knows your heart. Like Frank said, oh, I mean brother can just close the

book and be at home and watch Kelly, old LA likes working with things, but he's hungry

for God. Never lose your hunger. Amen, Church. You see, it's Jesus. It's all to do with Jesus.

No matter who we are, it's our hunger, our desire, but even our ministry. Really, my

ministry is not important to God. It's my hunger for God. It's my longing to please Him. Watch

the accusations of Satan. He's smart at this. When you're down, he gives all kinds of thoughts

to you. He tells you you're noble. You never make it. You never achieve what you want to

achieve in life. You somewhere maybe have failure. You never be all that God has planned

for your life. You've never had those thoughts, have you? Remember, God is for His kids. Can

you say amen? Suddenly you lose a job and suddenly something goes wrong and suddenly

everything seems to fold around you and suddenly you're going well and this goes wrong in your

house and this goes wrong in your house and the washing machine plays up and the refrigerator

plays up and something else goes wrong and the money's running out and where is God?

He's there. He's in the wilderness. Hello, Church. I'm absolutely convinced that God

can use our tragedies and make them triumph. In contrast, Satan will only try to destroy,

to kill, to distort, to bring guilt, to bring ashamedfulness, to bring a sense of worthlessness

into your life that you'll never rise. You must have the spirit of mightiness in you.

Forgive me, but some of the worst people in these areas are people that have never failed.

They become really too strong, too religiously strong to others. They can never be used.

That person can. He's failed. I believe God can use anybody. I'm absolutely convinced

God can use anybody and God can pick us up, but we must have in us the spirit of mightiness

and that's what Satan tries to destroy. You know what did God say to Joshua? Only as he

said in the leadership, only be thou very courageous. We Joshua want to give. Fear not

be courageous. Fear not be courageous. Let mightiness come upon your spirit. I can do

it. I can do something for God. God can use me. He was 80 by the time God picked him up.

You see I've still got a few here. You would always grasp and understand what God is doing.

Sometimes you feel your life is out of control. Say, how can I trust him? Tossed with fear

and tormented by doubt. But like Hebrews 6 says, he's made the promises that you might

turn to him as the anchor of your soul as the refuge and they were facing persecution

and difficulties and God says, I have sworn by myself that I will do this, that you may

turn to me as the anchor of your soul. You know, I thought that as I was preparing, in

Acts 27, God's mighty man, Paul, is on a mission for God. Everything, I mean he rocked the

Gentile world for Jesus. No one greater in the kingdom at the time than Paul. He goes

back to Jerusalem. He's persecuted. Then finally he ends up on this ship and 14 days in storms.

Where is this God when this tsunami comes? I mean he's the man and for 14 days that ship

is tossed like a matchbox in the sea. The old despair of life. These much powerful sailors.

You ask me, where are you God? You could have just stood that storm for Paul. Why didn't

he get to the bow of the ship and say, peace? 14 days in the deep of storms tossed to and

fro. The man that has moved the world for God. No one like him. Why didn't God involve

himself in that situation? I don't understand it all. But God did come to him. He says,

I'm going to spare you but you have to swim to the shore. This boat's going to collapse

under you. Hello? It's not always happy, happy, happy, happy. Your Christianity is not always

that charismatic stuff. You've got to learn to go through things. Stand strong. Read our

life story. One brother's been reading it a few times. He bought another book this morning.

Read it. Not always easy. I mean, we were heading sailing at Mount. If Mount Corvada

stayed with us the way it was at that stage, we were at about 10 to 15,000 people in that

church at least. But you know, you've no idea what evil was there. You've got no clue. I

literally saw them. They'd come to my home. They'd come outside these demons and say,

be there. I saw them at the door one of my dreams. I saw them. One day in Rodney's office,

literally they took pictures and outside there were demons there after they took the picture.

The witches around that place, surrounding it. Some of my team said, rubbish. Wouldn't

stand strong. It's okay. I had enough. I went to America. Wenzel cleaned up, cleaned it

all up and said goodbye. Whatever. But what I'm saying is it's not always easy. Hello

church. Are you with me? Not always easy. And there's still people thinking, oh, what

did he do? And when you did great things, because I was a visionary, I bought them property

of 200 acres just up the road. It would be worth now maybe about 30, 40, 50 million dollars.

They sold it for, they made money on it. They attacked me, but they made $100,000. They

would have had now 30, 40, 50 million dollars. It's okay. But I'm saying to you is the enemy

is not just working out in the world there. He tries to hinder God's purpose in some way.

He tries to undermine the vision, the dream, the purpose. I was tired. I mean all kinds

of ridiculous attacks. I used to go Monday playing golf and they attacked me by going

on Monday playing golf. It was my day off for heaven's sake. They say it doesn't happen.

It happens. It happens. When I went, because I went to Brazil with Bernard Johnson, they

attacked me because I stayed in the Sheraton. The Sheraton, I got 50 percent off. It was

cheaper than any other hotel. And Bernard Johnson was there. And I couldn't say, I can't

be there because people, I need to sleep in some hovel. And I was preaching to three or

four thousand ministers every day. Ridiculous stuff. You've got no idea. I'm not saying

poor me. But I'm simply saying to you is this stuff goes on in our lives. The desert comes.

What will you do in the desert? You see, I came out of that and become the friends of

people all over the world. When I see these people in Cali, I know them all. They're my

bodies in America. You know that black fellow that was preaching there, that great evangelist

has been on? I preach with him in Panama. I'm not priding myself, but I'm simply saying,

let God be God. Can you say amen? You will go through desert. You'll go through storms.

Here I am starting a church. My Lord, I must be out of my brain. It must be God or whatever.

What I'm saying is don't give up. Don't give up. Believe. I still believe God is great things

for Australia. I still believe there's another wave coming here. I'm almost tired of hearing

it going out everywhere else but right in Australia. I want to see the supernatural,

the works of God like the miracle that our sister had tonight just happening in the middle

of the service. That's what I want to happen. Not that I'm going to put my hand on anybody.

Just God comes. God heals. God delivers. Come on church. Australia needs it. This nation

is godless. It needs something from heaven. But sometimes for 14 days you're in the midst

of a storm and God just comes and says, be of good courage. You lose the ship but be

of good courage. Amen church. The moment of failure does not make us a failure. Did you

hear that? The moment of failure does not make us a failure. God has put premium on

failure but don't focus upon it. Mr. Thornby, the greatest Thorn remarked, when nations

are challenged by catastrophe, how the nation responds to the challenges most important.

He said that challenges must be balanced with purpose. Never lose your purpose. When Peter

failed, notice how God responded to Peter. He said, I prayed for you that your faith

may or not. When you have been converted, strength in your brain. Never give up on it.

God never gives up on us. Come on church. What should I do? My response to failure is

as important as the failure itself. Your response to the failure is as important as the failure

itself. The first thing you must do is listen to these practical things. Find the will of

God for today and do it. Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't worry about the next ten years.

Do the will of God today. Can you say amen? Let God start healing you. Healing the wounds

of your life. When I had my heart operation, I wasn't able the next day to run around and

jump around. As anybody has had an operation, it took several weeks. I was quite crazy.

By the seventh week, I was flying around the world and preaching in big conventions already.

What I'm saying is healing takes time. Find the will of God in little things and big things.

Find to do it. Match your daily needs with a mission. Come alive to something for God.

Sit back and run away and escape to television in your mind or in your emotions. Start doing

something for God or do anything for Jesus. Amen church. Very powerful key to me. Discover

God's how and when. Timing is crucial. You see, Moses lost his timing. He told God we'll

do it one way. God had a complete different purpose to that. Complete different purpose.

It wasn't the right moment for Israel. If Moses had done it, they would have said Moses

did it. He would have never built a theocratic nation. Never built the center of God into

those nations' people's lives. You see, God's purpose is bigger than you. God's purpose

is to create in you a faith and a determination and a heart. Come on church and a peace and

a joy and a desire to serve God. And He will work in circumstances. He will do things in

situations. But sometimes you go through something because God's working in your life to the

glory and praise of His work. All people got. Dr. Churn, on occasion, told us he was building

this massive church and the burden of the finances were killing. He went up to the top

to commit suicide. When he was up there, he said, I forgot to do this one thing. He went

downstairs and did this one thing and forgot about the suicide. All people go through things.

Like the sister this morning, Sister Ruth, said to me, I suppose we don't realize that

ministers are human beings like everybody else. We all go through things. Can you say

amen? Match your daily needs with a mission and discover how it may not be God's... There's

a moment that God will do things. Come on church. There's a moment that God will provide.

There's a moment that miracles will happen. He cannot fail you if you've tried regularly

and done and you go to God and say, God, I've done this. It's time you did a greater work

in my life. Can you say amen? He cannot fail you. He cannot fail you. Change your emphasis

from self to God. It's not what do you. Don't get into self-orientation. It leads to all

kinds of emotional hang-ups. Remember Romans 7, Paul is full of self. Things I want to

do, I cannot do. Things I hope to do, I'm not able to do. Wretched man, aye, aye, aye,

aye, aye. Finally, he says, I thank my God through Jesus Christ. Don't get self-orientated.

Number four, never write the ending of your life permanently or too quickly. Do you know

what I mean by that? Write the end of your life permanently or write it too quickly.

In other words, that's finished. Go on. Don't write it. And don't write it too fast. Like

Spurgeon said, men will make a decision on the mountaintop or in the valley. In the mountaintop

you make too many promises. In the valley you do it too fast. I like that thought, though.

Don't write your future permanently. You don't know yet what God can do with your life. And

don't write it too quickly. Because God can. He's in the message I knew every morning.

What is his faithfulness? And finally, expose your feelings to God. Bring the stuff. Come

how you come, not in anger, but in brokenness. A contrite spirit of God you won't despise.

Psalm 5117, in humility. Your feelings must not be brought to God in the environment of

rebellion. The psalmist was brilliant at that. He'd always tell God, but then he would finally

say, God, you did this, you did this, you did this. You're always a great God. Always

finished with that. Be honest to him. God knows how you feel. Can't God? I'm tired of

this. But you are God. I'm sick of it, Lord, but you are God. Tell him. He says, not faith.

It's okay. Tell him. The psalmist did. Everything is against me. But you are God. Get your emotions.

Go to him. Don't whinge. Tell God and leave it there. I remember once a wonderful example

of this in one of the great art galleries of Germany. There's a picture where Faust

was playing chess with the devil. And the picture's there and the devil has got this

grin on him as if he's beaten Faust at the game of chess. And then one day a great chess

player walked in and stood at the painting for a long time, studied the moves. He says,

it's not true, he said. The king has another move. Hallelujah. I want to tell you, when

the devil may grin and spit at you and torment you in your mind, the king always has another

move. Hallelujah. Not the end. Never the end. God wants to put mightiness in you and you

bring you back to that sense. You'll go through things. I'm too solid to tell you that. Not

a bowl of cherries. You don't rise on the wings of an angel. Never did anything go wrong

with you anymore. Your work is a challenge. A doctor? Challenge? Your other things are

a challenge. Your wife may be a challenge. No, nobody here. Your husband may be a challenge.

I am. Oh, whatever. Life's not easy. Or as they say, Ben E. Hymn has it easy, has he?

You know that when he got attacked so much, he was a minister of a great fellowship that

I know very well. I know the friend that told me he was very close to him. So they said

to him, we don't want you in this movement any longer. You're too much of a risk. He

went into it with a shower and wept like a baby. Would you like to wake up like he does

with all the news against you? I've had it. Even Parliament that occasion, they said,

we're going to destroy this man. I met newscasts, I met news people that said to me, actually

in this church across the other side of the city, I was preaching, there were literally

journalists that said, we don't matter what happens, we're going to destroy this man in

the news. Lies? Unbelievable. What do you do? You just rejoice. For example, on one occasion,

nothing to do with anything. I was overseas and I couldn't get back in time and the headlines,

minister will be arrested when he comes back because I couldn't get back in time for a,

I was testifying to a case, nothing to do with me. Lies. So I arrived back a little

bit later. The next time it happened, I was there in the court. So I testified and the

judge apologized about everything. They wouldn't give me any money for my trip. It cost me

about 70,000. I was simply testifying about two people. I can mention the names. They

had a big feud. So I finished my testimony, read it all, signed it all. And I'm on my

way back. Second page in the, I could have sued them, where it's minister lies in my

picture. But when you read it, it's nothing to do with me. It's to do with Senator Goldby,

a minister of the crown. You understand? What do you do? You praise God. Amen. But unless

you read the whole article, ah, preachers, they lie. You say it's not possible. Oh yes.

Do you think it's always going to be easy even in Australia in the future? If really

the revival comes, you think they're going to love me? It's a wonderful Red Climber

Nock. They hate the Christians finally. People out there, I mean, look what they're doing

to Bush at the moment. They're doing to destroy him as a man of God. He loves the Lord. They

will lie. They will deceive. They will cheat. Unbelievable stuff. Somehow he survived that

poor guy and has the strength not to let it defeat and destroy him. See, why do you share

all this? I don't know. I'm just talking, sharing. It's all gone from my life. I hope

it is gone. Maybe it's somewhere in there. But what I'm saying to you is life's not always

easy. There's still people saying, I can tell you recently something happened at the church

there that hurt me. Just leave it. See, we're in the hands of the King and he knows and

what happens with the world. God will repay a thousand times to his people. He knows exactly.

You don't walk before man. You walk before God. Can you say amen? You walk to please

the Lord. Can you say amen? I'm just human like everybody else, but just keep those emotions

in the right place. Can somebody say amen? Can we stand please together? Hallelujah.

Is there people that need prayer tonight in the light of my message? Say, Pastor, I've

been through it. I feel no destinies in my life anymore. I feel like Moses. If you feel

that, would you come for prayer? Not that drastic, but you want some destiny, okay?

God bless you, David. God's hand is on you already. Others, please come. If you feel

the hand of God is on you. Anybody else feel that they need some prayer? You feel you want

to go out to...come on, expose your feelings to God and to yourself. Hallelujah. Praise

Can I ask you, will you be strong as the storms come? We've been blessed in Australia so far.

Only a few have been under heavy attack. The rest of us have escaped most of this stuff.

But I want to tell you, God is not finished with us. God will be with us. And when even

it gets tough, God will be with us. I really believe, God always says a thousand times

more, I really believe. What you've been through, God will do a thousand times more. I have

a lot coming to me yet of blessings. You better believe it and you're going to see it. God's

going to do great things for me. Can you say it, man? In many ways. We're just going to

hallelujah. What do you want, David? What have you come for?

Jesus, take this precious young man. Your hand is upon him, Lord, to do great things

for your glory. Take him, Jesus. Let nothing, as He said, distract him. To the purpose and

plan you have for his life, I pray. Bless him mightily. Bless him mightily. Bless nightly,

I pray. Know who's coming here. You are. What do you want, darling? You want to give your

life to Jesus? Wonderful. He's giving his heart to Jesus. Isn't that wonderful? That's

as important as anyone. Stretch out your hand toward him. Would you pray this prayer with

me? Say Jesus. You say Jesus. I give myself to you now. Come into my heart that I will

know I belong to God. Now listen, what you're doing is you're making this agreement with

God right now because Jesus is down in the cross for you. And you're now saying, Jesus,

I give myself, how old are you? Ten. I was 11 when I did this. Changed my life. Say right

now, Jesus, I confess you as my Savior, as my Lord. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, that

I live for you all the days of my life. From this day onwards, I belong to Jesus Christ.

Hallelujah. I'm saved. Jesus is in my heart. Amen. Now I want your mom and dad to buy your

Bible. I want you to put this date in there. I want them to help you. What it means is

one about young children, when you know you're saved. That or the old one if you want to.

But it's important what you do with this young man now. Jesus, just bless him, I pray, that

he will know that he's saved. Be with him all the days of his life, I pray in Jesus'

name. And bless this family. Bless this doctor. God, use them. I really believe the potential

of God has not been fulfilled yet. Be used mightily of God, you and your husband. Mightily

as vessels. Vessels of God. Vessels of honor and praise and glory. Hallelujah.
