  11. Hi. Welcome to our podcast.

  12. This is Young Voices and Singapore.

  13. And today our topic is how to spread the word in a multi-faith society.

  14. I'm on call today with Square and Clements.

  15. I'll let them introduce themselves

  16. what she means when she says Clements, of course, is my dad.

  17. What? Because we don't call our parents by their first name.

  18. Look at how this was set up in your professional environment.

  19. Oh, well, you know, it doesn't matter.

  20. You see, I'm joined by my dad, and then I go. Yes.

  21. I'm here.

  22. My name is Clement.

  23. You don't call me Clement, is that right?

  24. Okay, so I'll go to John and say hi as well.

  25. Yes. Greetings.

  26. Everyone names me.

  27. And yes, I'm looking forward to discussion.

  28. And. Yeah.

  29. Cool.

  30. So that's all for me?

  31. Yeah.

  32. What made you choose this topic?

  33. I think I was quite interested in this topic because,

  34. I don't know, I was seeing a lot of,

  35. things about it recently because I do have

  36. a few Muslim friends, as many as I thought I did, actually.

  37. I thought I had one that I realized, oh, it's actually like two people for all

  38. I've seen on social media and in person and in schools is always like,

  39. like hook up.

  40. I'm like, yeah, that's interesting.

  41. And then I also thought,

  42. I don't know, like a lot of things especially,

  43. I don't know, I don't want to say America is in America,

  44. where there are Christians online

  45. who are not crying, but

  46. talking about how they feel like they are

  47. the victims in today's society

  48. and how they are kind of pulling out of the limelight and feeling

  49. victimized in the way that they kind to share

  50. their word with other faiths, and especially in

  51. how things with laws currently going on in America

  52. about how letting faith dictate

  53. everyone's lives, if that's not something they've chosen to follow yet.

  54. How does that work? What makes sense?

  55. But you do know the Christians are one of the most persecuted groups

  56. on the planet, and the Bible says that people will hate you because of you.

  57. So you might say they're playing

  58. the victim, but in the way they might be the victim.

  59. I don't know, but what do you think?

  60. I, I agree, I feel,

  61. faith is undertaken many, many ways.

  62. In the west of us, you're quite fortunate that we're not literally being killed

  63. for our faith, as in some other areas of the world, but,

  64. I mean, I get I get both sides in the sense of,

  65. I think some of the complaints from some believers

  66. of the more trivial in terms of,

  67. I guess,

  68. how popular the faith is.

  69. But I will say that there are definitely, there's definitely an attack on the faith

  70. and the tenets of it.

  71. And I do think that,

  72. it's one to be wary of.

  73. And again, as in Scripture,

  74. we've already been told that that's just how it's it's going to be.

  75. So I guess just being aware of it and, you know, taking steps to,

  76. move in confidence

  77. and be bold with the faith.

  78. So what would you say,

  79. the challenges of, what what do you see

  80. as the challenges of spreading the word and multi-faith environment?

  81. Well,

  82. that's for where.

  83. So what do I see as the challenge as well?

  84. Because there's so many different belief systems and everyone's

  85. different understandings of perceptions based on what they've been taught

  86. or what they choose to listen to.

  87. It can be difficult to,

  88. have that received well, especially when,

  89. our faith calls for, you know, discipline,

  90. to hold ourselves to a certain standard and to be support, to be holy.

  91. Because human beings are very social creatures, and we we fear being extra,

  92. you know, as you indicated, or stress from war or social groups

  93. generally, if we're calling

  94. to do

  95. things that are singles, apart from people,

  96. then when it does receive, you know, backlash

  97. such as, you know, for instance, or not fornicating or,

  98. or listen to this type of music, people automatically

  99. see you as being holier than thou or thinking that you're better than them

  100. when simply trying to adhere to a higher moral standard.

  101. So I think sometimes that's where the challenge comes through.

  102. There's some belief systems that are being propagated, not just us.

  103. And then our faith is telling us to essentially

  104. ostracize us from the world because of the world. So

  105. that alone is going to cause backlash and,

  106. vitriol,

  107. in people.

  108. Do you feel uncomfortable sharing your faith stream

  109. with other people who of different faiths do you feel you have to accommodate them?

  110. I'm not particularly accommodating.

  111. I would say that the thought process was more.

  112. Christianity is very it's a very specific thing

  113. where one of our missions is to spread our word

  114. and like share the love of both of the people.

  115. And then I realized, I don't know, I'm not very well versed in other religions

  116. like study wise, but I don't know if that's

  117. a thing that they do like, if that's a thing that they

  118. want to achieve, like bring more people to that faith

  119. in terms of like evangelism, like,

  120. I don't know, there are like

  121. they feel like quite distant in a way that they kind of keep to themselves.

  122. And they're not very they're not trying to bring more people

  123. to their faith in lessons the same way Christians do.

  124. Is it one particular faith, you know, this faith

  125. in general above Judaism, Islam?

  126. Buddhism, I don't and like I can't picture

  127. the same like

  128. evangelism as the way Christianity does it.

  129. I was wondering why that was.

  130. If it's difficult to spread faith,

  131. like as a Christian.

  132. I know

  133. in terms of most in terms of Islam, you do see evangelism,

  134. see some of them with their tables, which sometimes

  135. or outside Islamic centers.

  136. The Jehovah's Witnesses, you see them outside

  137. the, I don't culture when this is Christian.

  138. Well, that's the thing. I follow Christ with my thing of.

  139. That's the

  140. thing I was assumed, Jehovah Witnesses were just a strain of Christianity,

  141. like a version of evangelism, which is different for us.

  142. But they also have very different beliefs to us as well.

  143. Very different.

  144. Yeah.

  145. So when you go,

  146. oh, no, I was just, agreeing,

  147. how I see it is.

  148. Yeah.

  149. We're not doing faith that propagates all our beliefs, but

  150. I do think that

  151. I think in a way.

  152. I think we're not as

  153. well in a sense.

  154. I feel like we're more liberal in how we show our faith compared to other faiths.

  155. And I think it's a good thing.

  156. But yeah, I do.

  157. I do recognize that similar,

  158. observation, just like for the, for in terms of,

  159. we are a lot more,

  160. you know, broadcasting of our faith.

  161. I think that does help in terms of the fact that

  162. or even if it was under attack, all faith isn't as stigmatized

  163. as certain, belief systems, for instance, in Islam in the West.

  164. And, how you perceive as radical

  165. and in some ways off as radical by some two.

  166. But I think that sometimes it's a bit easier for us to broadcast that faith.

  167. More often than, other belief systems.

  168. I think,

  169. I mean, some hard to kind of coming in, I would probably say

  170. we might be looking at it from our perspective

  171. of how we practice concerns here in the West.

  172. If we were to look at some of the places

  173. where Christians are being persecuted, for instance, northern Nigeria

  174. and so many places where they actually do go out, they do set up churches,

  175. they do go evangelizing, and some of the most often hospitable places where,

  176. they're pretty much at risk of death.

  177. We do read about these things.

  178. So it might be a case of maybe looking at this from the perspective of

  179. what would it be like in a multi-faith society

  180. in that instance, in places like Nigeria and places

  181. like Myanmar and places like that, what would it be like in the UK

  182. was I find the, interesting is, though obviously

  183. there's a lot of heavy persecution of Christianity in, other countries.

  184. I think it's quite interesting because there's a lot of persecution

  185. of Christians in other countries, but the only people I hear

  186. speaking out about it, the loudest voices are from the West,

  187. where it's not as highly persecuted as it is not the cases.

  188. I think that's where the misconception comes through, because people who aren't

  189. Christians, we're hearing that Christians are like most persecuted.

  190. They've worldwide are hearing it from people

  191. in America, in the UK, in Europe

  192. who are being persecuted in those countries

  193. will be a Christian to the same extent the other religions are.

  194. So I think that's where the perception comes that, at least from what I've heard.

  195. And then

  196. I think in those countries as well,

  197. I, I don't know if this will be considered multi-faith societies

  198. because there's usually one

  199. dominant place in the societies, and that's why they are

  200. that.

  201. Okay.

  202. I think we'll just have to take this focus like really cafe and just background

  203. noise as we just go, we'll go with that.

  204. We'll go down because we'll go to the Bible.

  205. Look, let's focus on the West then.

  206. Now, one of I've been listening to you

  207. listen to our podcast from Joe McComas,

  208. Teaching the Way and it did talk about Babylon.

  209. He talks about the time that the Israelites were in Babylon,

  210. talked about Hollywood as well.

  211. I think it was actually referring to a, movie that was made called

  212. Hollywood, which was,

  213. about the decadence.

  214. And I think one of the one of the challenges.

  215. Babylon.

  216. No, no, no, he likened the to Babylon.

  217. Right.

  218. Not just as a kind of a place, but,

  219. a place almost like a place or a state of mind where to practice

  220. your faith is difficult because you're trying to because of the society around

  221. you, you're pretty much watering down your beliefs

  222. to fit in with the society.

  223. Exocytosis prevents you from doing that.

  224. So spreading the word in an environment like that can be a bit of a challenge.

  225. And the first thing to do really is,

  226. recognize you're in that kind of environment

  227. or an environment where the Word of God

  228. as we know it is.

  229. It's okay as long as it doesn't get in the way of our way of life.

  230. So as long as you don't get a way of life, you're fine.

  231. You can you can talk about it.

  232. But once it starts affecting our way of life, like,

  233. for instance, now this country is going more and more secular.

  234. Churches are turning into coffee shops.

  235. Once it's done standing

  236. of of time multi-use because,

  237. church is what it used to be,

  238. more and more secular.

  239. It's started and sometimes especially when it comes

  240. to things like people in government and politics and stuff like that.

  241. And, we as a society decide how we, govern ourselves.

  242. Christianity didn't have the it doesn't have the status that used to have.

  243. I think this is where the question also kind of like where I was also influenced,

  244. because if we are in a multi-faith society,

  245. like, is that something?

  246. But I don't know, as a Christian, that's something that we would like

  247. to be in, in a society because it's

  248. that is what we are living in, which it is.

  249. How would we allow one thing

  250. to dictate government, if that makes sense?

  251. Because government

  252. is for everyone.

  253. Well,

  254. here's the thing.

  255. Let's recognize, first of all that when we pray, we pray for God's kingdom to come.

  256. Yeah, right.

  257. We talk about God being sovereign overall, and that Jesus

  258. is going to be the ruler in his kingdom,

  259. which means there can't be other kingdom.

  260. So you can't. It's not something you can go.

  261. Health measures.

  262. And this is what is the challenge.

  263. Because even the multi-faith, that's what I'm saying.

  264. You almost kind of apologizing for your faith,

  265. but you have to be committed

  266. because the mission is to go out and preach the gospel.

  267. Let's go out and preach a true gospel of the true gospel.

  268. It's this is the way it's called Mandalorian.

  269. Then this is the way.

  270. But we can't go ahead and start spreading the word half heartedly

  271. and say, well, yeah, it's okay for you to still follow your rules. And,

  272. do all the

  273. things you've done in the past and still, you know, follow Christ.

  274. It doesn't work that way.

  275. So I would say in a multi-faith sort of spread the word in the Muslim society,

  276. although it is a challenge, the way to do it is to stay true to your faith,

  277. to not to not feel like you need

  278. to apologize for what you believe,

  279. and to be able to confidently tell people

  280. in a way that they can understand what they believe.

  281. And it's not necessarily about going around and saying,

  282. because you always get the questions that, oh, does that mean that all bodies

  283. are going to hell or wasn't going to hell?

  284. And it's like, well, I'm here to tell you this is the way right?

  285. God decides

  286. because God sees the heart.

  287. So it's not for us to judge,

  288. just for us to just spread the word and believe the word.

  289. And if you are in an environment,

  290. I think if you look at all the not to preach to the Gentiles,

  291. I have the Bereans who are like open thinkers.

  292. That's actually a good one to look at.

  293. They the people that would just like know the people that you see even nowadays

  294. who try different things because they all search for something

  295. they could be by tomorrow,

  296. they could be Buddhist and they could turn to Christianity.

  297. They're just seeking some sort of truth.

  298. So they will always be that kind of society with that kind of mindset.

  299. And for us to spread the faith, we just have to be true to the faith.

  300. We have to have the Holy Spirit.

  301. I think looking at the early, apostles looking at the acts,

  302. you need the Holy Spirit and you need the word and conviction.

  303. So yeah,

  304. but I've.

  305. Honestly, I, sure.

  306. Same sentiment.

  307. It's about not feeling

  308. the need to appease, or standing on our faith.

  309. And ultimately, it's one thing to understand that some other beliefs

  310. they do, and we can't control whether somebody accepts or

  311. our standpoint, but it's still

  312. being confident, in your stance and,

  313. having the confidence to,

  314. voice that, but not,

  315. I guess,

  316. for salvation for to force onto people.

  317. So if people want to accept it, they can.

  318. But you put it personally, we're here to simply, you know, say this is the way.

  319. And, you know, if they accept it, thank God for that.

  320. If they don't, well, we pray that they they come around

  321. to understanding of themselves and that, could reveal that truth to them.

  322. But yeah, I think it's very important not to feel we to appease, our standing.

  323. Because ultimately, if we compromise, then,

  324. our faith

  325. is void in that sense, because ultimately, if you're not standing for what we see

  326. you believe in, then ultimately you believe in nothing at all.

  327. So it is difficult.

  328. And there's a lot of,

  329. attack all way in terms of,

  330. being able to express that freely and liberally without consequence.

  331. But that's just the path that we've chosen and just the relative situation.

  332. So, yeah, it's one thing to understand people's beliefs,

  333. but it's another thing to also compromise our beliefs for for those other ones.

  334. And as you said already, our goal is to spread the word

  335. and return two ways, mainly to that through obviously voicing and speaking.

  336. We also do it through our actions and ultimately our actions.

  337. In some ways hold more weight.

  338. Because if

  339. you're if you're someone's first experience or running with what

  340. Christian is and you're doing wickedness

  341. or you're being, hurtful,

  342. then that's going to be the impression they receive.

  343. So we do have a manner which we have to behave and, act towards

  344. by agree to ultimately.

  345. Yeah, we're going to read acts chapter 17 because I mentioned Berea,

    Acts 17 chapter mention

  346. and I think it's an interesting one

  347. in verse 16, because while Paul was waiting for them in Athens,

  348. he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols.

  349. Nobody like, well, I could be like Mister Multi-Faith,

  350. whatever, but basically full of different beliefs.

  351. Do you want to call it that?

  352. So he reasoned in the synagogue, the word reasoned

  353. with both Jews and God fearing Greeks,

  354. as well as in the marketplace, day by day, with those who happened to be there.

  355. So he was going around just having conversations with different people.

  356. This is this is a clear, an example of preaching the word in,

  357. the Montreal society.

  358. So a group of Epicurean and Stoic philosophers began to debate with him.

  359. Some of them asked, what is this babbler trying to say?

  360. Others remarks he seems to be advocating foreign gods.

  361. He said this because Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and

  362. the resurrection.

  363. Then they took him and

  364. brought him to a meeting of the arrest Areopagus, where they said to him,

  365. May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting?

  366. You're bringing

  367. some strange ideas to our ears, and we would like to know what they mean.

  368. This is actually interesting that he's talking to people

  369. who are thinkers, who are open minded, but we all not different.

  370. So if you were speaking to the zealot or someone

  371. that you cannot change their mind, but there's the Word of God for everybody,

  372. all the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there.

  373. Paul spent their time doing nothing but talking about

  374. listening to the latest ideas.

  375. So they wanted to find out, you know, what was on trend, what was the latest fad?

  376. So what was interesting in verse

  377. 32, Paul said, Paul then stood up in the meeting

  378. of the area of progress and said, People of Athens.

  379. I see that in every way.

  380. You were very religious.

  381. Or as I walked around and looked carefully at the objects of worship,

  382. I even found an altar with this inscription to an unknown God.

  383. So your ignorance of the very thing you worship.

  384. And this is what I'm going to proclaim to you.

  385. So he's actually found an in into how he can actually because there are people

  386. like that, as mentioned earlier on, who are looking for the meaning of life.

  387. Sometimes those are the easiest people to be able

  388. to spread, to see, to spread the word.

  389. But you're looking for something.

  390. This might just be it, but what Paul has actually done

  391. is he's gone around and seen how this motif in society works.

  392. So is it like nowadays where you've got kids doing mindfulness?

  393. Because they

  394. know that the we've been through Covid and everyone's stressed out or whatever.

  395. So I think the way for us is to do a bit of meditation,

  396. but let's take out the Christianity part.

  397. That's almost like the thought of the unknown God.

  398. You've got people who are doing their kind of wellness things, or maybe generosity.

  399. God doesn't come into it.

  400. So you find, you know, in a society like this, it's just that case where,

  401. the people are replacing God with something else which isn't on the tree.

  402. That's the problem kind of thing.

  403. Or it's, case of the kind

  404. of searching for something but don't know quite what it is.

  405. So, yes, it is a challenge, but I think as long as we are

  406. spirit led, because the Holy Spirit, where you need to go and speak to you

  407. and speak to and give you the words to say, then it's possible.

  408. But the only way you can do that is if you actually kind of remain in the word.

  409. You have to be versed in the words.

  410. You have to be reading your Bible. Let's be praying.

  411. You have to be listening to God have that quiet time.

  412. I think, Peter, what do you what do you say?

  413. What happens?

  414. I, I smoke and I was not 17.

  415. And I mean, if you read the whole sentence.

  416. Yeah, I know, you know what I read.

  417. Yeah. And, I mean, so that's an idea.

  418. Yeah, absolutely.

  419. Yeah.

  420. So it's not talk about Berea from verse ten.

  421. And I probably would liken the Greeks to kind of our present day,

  422. whether we've got people who've got different.

  423. That's what I was like, thank you as well.

  424. And I was wondering, that was actually a perfect example, I think, of

  425. just a way of preaching in a society that isn't,

  426. like the

  427. separation between, like church and state, as they say before nowadays.

  428. And it was during the two this time or whatever, probably when that started,

  429. actually, the The King James Bible, it's

  430. yeah. That

  431. so I don't know, I know, I know, but like,

  432. I don't mean like some version, King James Version.

  433. There is something about that.

  434. Everyone who I know that likes a King James Version version

  435. does it because they've heard that more.

  436. The Bible is translated the more you lose the original meaning.

  437. But the truth of it is certainly crackling

  438. or somebody trying to send the message, okay, it's probably nothing but the truth.

  439. The truth of it really is,

  440. is the Holy Spirit reveals the word to you

  441. because there's a lot that's been translated from Greek

  442. that didn't make into English.

  443. There's a lot that was in there to make that didn't make it into Greek,

  444. but it's important that you're able to communicate.

  445. So if you're reading the King James Version

  446. of the Bible to someone who doesn't know Jesus since or never read a Bible before,

  447. you only lose on the first verse.

  448. Who's King James before also King Henry the Eighth?

  449. I always forget my history card, right?

  450. I think he was before. Okay. Probably before.

  451. It's about a glyph.

  452. Yeah. Is is because whenever

  453. the Church of England was created, that was every the age.

  454. And I was wondering if that what happened next with translations as well.

  455. I don't think they translated it again after

  456. they've been various translations and it goes on till today.

  457. But, even then, that's why I say it, because

  458. if you if you listen to, preachers preaching, stay and reading

  459. verses their own interpretation of what they read, to be fair, must be different.

  460. I think those are any good words to have.

  461. Honestly, I would like to. Queen.

  462. I feel like that was a good answer.

  463. The verse itself, I mean, that's what they say.

  464. Whenever you have a question, just read. Read the word.

  465. Yeah, you'll find an answer there somewhere.

  466. So I'm going to.

  467. Yeah.

  468. So I mean I'll clean up at 17 to you guys to read that this I'm going

  469. to just jumped 32

  470. because there's always one thing that one is preaching.

  471. The what they tell somebody will tell you that's just not possible.

  472. And then maybe sometimes that's what you use.

  473. And the argument, if you don't get it, you don't get it.

  474. So in 32 it says when they heard about the resurrection of the dead,

  475. some of them sneered, but others said, we want to hear you again on this subject.

  476. And that Paul left the council.

  477. Some of the people became photos of Paul and believed among them was Dionysius,

  478. a member of the.

  479. There was a woman named Damaris and a number of others.

  480. So some people believe some people.

  481. One is, it's

  482. a good seed that falls on the rocks and falls into the soil or whatever it is.

  483. You know, as far as the topic is concerned,

  484. this is how you spread the word in the most fit society,

  485. how the world works.

  486. Best known for the Holy Spirit and the person receiving it

  487. because some will have the ears to here or not.

  488. Yeah, so we'll have eyes to see or not perceive.

  489. These are some could take on true.

  490. Just standing strong.

  491. Your faith, your beliefs and

  492. understanding that not everyone

  493. will want to hear what you're saying and being on stuff,

  494. hoping that they find another way, another influence that leads them to God.

  495. So yeah, I think that's

  496. the takeaway of Audrey.

  497. You will be you'll take away from all this?

  498. Yeah.

  499. My take will be just as, Philip was talking about, you know,

  500. being being bold in your faith, sharing with people

  501. and, not being concerned what you can't control.

  502. And that is them accepting it and just praying that,

  503. ultimately feel to them, you know,

  504. and also, meeting people where they are,

  505. people receive messages in different ways.

  506. So it's very important to be able to communicate the word

  507. effectively to people.

  508. And one of the best ways to do the already spiritually is to be in the word.

  509. And I think it's very important to, come here so, you know, to, to pray

  510. and study a lot more so that we have to do so with, more effect.

  511. So honestly, I agree with all the sentiment shared here,

  512. and it's how I see it is what we're doing.

  513. It's it's really a marathon, so to speak.

  514. And ultimately,

  515. our goal was to be that vessel. So,

  516. if someone does here

  517. and they do accept it, that we thank God that's enough of us and that's,

  518. you know, joined us

  519. and yeah, that's pretty much it and nothing else to say.

  520. I think acts 17 alone, as I just discussed, was a really great chapter,

  521. an example of,

  522. what our topic is today.

  523. Real excellent.

  524. So, as I was told, my, scrum team, whenever you finish,

  525. stand up, go forth and conquer

  526. it. That's wrong.

  527. Well, that's a that's a catchphrase of this podcast that we be wrong.

  528. But he says, essentially, you see what he says as I go forth and conquer them.

  529. They kind of people, after the time of Jesus up on the.

  530. Yeah, and know the catchphrase of this podcast I know you waiting for.

  531. That's just so I'm trying to figure out

  532. where actually got it from, and I can't work.

  533. It's not Game of Thrones.

  534. I have no idea.

  535. No, it's something I've been using for scrum meetings for a long time now.

  536. Thank you.

  537. Thank you all for joining us today.

  538. Thank you, Peter, for bringing this topic.

  539. Shame we weren't able to do this as we wanted planned.

  540. Joining us some time before, but hopefully we'll hear from her

  541. because I believe she's going to do her own interview.

  542. And to be honest, because everyone else has done this.

  543. Oh, she's you.

  544. Yeah.

  545. Did you that.

  546. Hi, there. Hello.

  547. When do you join?

  548. I've been looking.

  549. Enough along.

  550. They got me,

  551. Okay.

  552. So, yeah, we'll just actually finish it up, but I don't know if you got anything.

  553. You what? What what point did you come in here?

  554. I think I had the puddle.

  555. I think the scripture, I guess, just bookable.

  556. But the end of it, when you talk about,

  557. your job is to send out the word.

  558. I think God is on the increase.

  559. Is this book about

  560. knowing how to effectively communicate the words of people

  561. so that I think, like, there's two things I heard.

  562. Okay, well, the the topic was really around,

  563. you know, how do you spread the word in the multiple in society?

  564. So I'm probably going to say, you know, I'm

  565. going to give you a couple of minutes if you could.

  566. Because what what we talked about was, the kind of multi-faith society

  567. we have where people have different beliefs on the list.

  568. We talked a bit about the challenges of what that would

  569. mean spreading the word in mostly society and the scripture.

  570. I mentioned this at 17, where Paul

  571. went around and had a look at how the Greeks and the Jews,

  572. how they lived their life, what they believed in.

  573. And he was able to use that to spread the gospel

  574. and to meet them halfway that they have belief.

  575. But this is what you should really believe in.

  576. So I don't know if you want to move to the summit, if you want to,

  577. with the last minutes or so, maybe you've got something to say.

  578. About what?

  579. It's what what

  580. the challenges might be like or what way, what tips you would give someone who

  581. posed a question to you, how do you spread the gospel

  582. when you're living in a multi-faith society?

  583. For my experience, oh God is

  584. giving out your trust in and praying,

  585. the ways to fellowship with God for evangelism.

  586. So this time I remember I when an atheist

  587. somehow doesn't believe that God existed or that God

  588. at all is most revealing in science and things like that.

  589. And I remember I spoke with a couple about histories of more,

  590. and I was trying to preach to him.

  591. I was but he's he's

  592. read so much historic, so much so he knows a lot of different religions.

  593. And he's talking about this one and this one and this one, and this went

  594. on for so long.

  595. Therefore I got I got discouraged in my spirit.

  596. I when

  597. I went home, I spoke to my pastor about these,

  598. and she told me that we the more we go off our reach,

  599. the more you try sharing the word of God you encounter.

  600. A lot of different people are from those things.

  601. You learn and grow as a Christian,

  602. because encountering that person made me realize that

  603. at the end of the day, as you said earlier,

  604. the most you can do is like you cannot change another person's head.

  605. I cannot change another person's head.

  606. It doesn't matter at times, at least the country coaching methods as well, like

  607. try to be nice, to try to sound so nice, but I think you are still nice.

  608. Some people won't listen, you're still nice and believe.

  609. So that makes me understand that I think

  610. moving about it's not literally, it's not about me.

  611. It's not when it comes to sharing the Word of God in society is so

  612. with a lot of religious people beliefs and put on beliefs on

  613. believe in different things,

  614. we all hustle.

  615. It all comes down to what the Word of God does, what God Himself would do.

  616. Because even in Jesus's time, to other religions as well, right?

  617. You wouldn't just be standing to do other things or a God

  618. worshiping the Israelites themselves and their worship.

  619. I or the worship bar or the thing seems like

  620. even in that dispensation they too had those challenges.

  621. But then if they could survive for that time easily because of what?

  622. That's in the Word of God.

  623. I personally believe that the Word of God itself is power, and we both say that

  624. everything that was made, that it makes an existence, was made by the world

  625. or a region that talks about how it is, how when the Spirit of God

  626. hovered over the earth

  627. and then he spoke your word, then he was the light, and then light up. You.

  628. It gets me excited in your life

  629. that the Word of God is still there, that we feel at times with the scriptures.

  630. At times.

  631. But this gives us a living is a life is

  632. is amazing at times how we have I don't know how to explain

  633. somebody who was very, very sick.

  634. She had, Sebastian

  635. Johnson syndrome and that's in Cameroon and that's it.

  636. Our medical facilities know that code.

  637. And I remember doing all that poor someone once we prayed.

  638. I think that's one of the highest when I ever have a pre

  639. where they see how even though for themselves

  640. how discouraged and discouraged nurses himself are discouraged.

  641. But then we see how as you constantly pray,

  642. you see how every day she gets better and better and you really believe.

  643. You really know that God's what what God's word actually works.

  644. So when God says a thing, he means you.

  645. God says that by my stripes you were healed.

  646. You stand turned.

  647. What I believe the scripture they keep on professing it will happen.

  648. You've got to say that,

  649. ministry as children are

  650. his chance to go out and preach the word is to go out and give out.

  651. The word is to show love.

  652. That if all these have love, then we have not needs to show love,

  653. to give all the word to by showing love and other means.

  654. If we do those things and trust the fact

  655. that we've given down to what has got us it.

  656. If you want this, I want to share this word.

  657. We've given the person the word that he wanted, a person to hear.

  658. And truly for Father God himself is going to change the person.

  659. If you want to change the person,

  660. God himself will open that person's heart if he wants to open the person's heart.

  661. If we come to that point, we realize that, then we know that

  662. irrespective of whether society is mortified or not, irrespective of what

  663. people believe in, embraces of someone who doesn't believe in God

  664. and God touch the person of the person

  665. and God wants to change the person, he will change the person.

  666. So I believe that the best way to do it, one of the best ways,

  667. in the least for my experience, is to give out the word, as it is

  668. another way to show law.

  669. Love is always the greatest thing, no matter how it you see.

  670. That is what you say that I am. Love.

  671. She himself. God is love indeed.

  672. So all devices as we show love to someone.

  673. The way you live your life, the way you treat people, just the way you live.

  674. And we treat people it can make.

  675. So we want to come to Christ because why are you different?

  676. What should wait for you?

  677. What is much positivity?

  678. This, this this, this, this is a good thing.

  679. This character is a good character and addressing it.

  680. Final. Why does this person have this character?

  681. I find that because of Christ in a person they say draw the person to Christ

  682. because God is like, well, you still have to understand.

  683. You still have to

  684. when you're spreading the word, because you can have people

  685. with that kind of character that don't believe in Christ.

  686. So the multiplayer society,

  687. is really like CS, but trust in God.

  688. But you always have to make sure that you are attributing this.

  689. Like you've just said, that everything that was created was created by the word.

  690. But you're talking in a society where people don't believe that

  691. and they talk about the Big Bang.

  692. Of course, the Big Bang, we still don't know it.

  693. So I'm gonna say that between people is important.

  694. It's important that it's important in this. So,

  695. other faiths as well.

  696. When I say multi-faith, there are atheists also mean people who have a say that

  697. this is what makes sense because they may believe

  698. in a word, not all same word.

  699. So I think, I do agree that, just being steadfast in your beliefs

  700. and being able to live as a Christian is just

  701. a really good way of spreading the word and spreading that message.

  702. It's more like,

  703. is, is there a way to spread faith, what,

  704. to people who already have another faith, who are more?

  705. Because there are people who would like,

  706. I would have faith. Now,

  707. when you come into Christianity, I forget what it's like, that word.

  708. But it doesn't matter what the word is.

  709. Yeah, I think that's what the verse comes in.

  710. It's a come to life if someone leaves, like, another religion.

  711. That is. Yeah.

  712. Yeah, that's what I think. So.

  713. Yeah, it's it's it's that's why that that's why that, x17 is important.

  714. Because these are people of faith, of many faiths.

  715. It was all of these are actually multi-faith people.

  716. And if you look at, where I'm from,

  717. you're about people open, you know, this we we we

  718. we like to have multiple insurance claim, multiple insurance policies.

  719. Yeah.

  720. So you have the Christians going to see the native doctor

  721. and then going to see the of, the Muslim, whatever healer, just to make sure that

  722. whether it's promotion they're looking for or child of protection from enemies.

  723. So this is the kind of oh, you soaked in air quotes,

  724. the kind of Babylon we live in where people are just,

  725. trying to find answers in

  726. various places and just trying to absorb all or none.

  727. So showing love,

  728. being having a Christian

  729. to me, having a Christian, attitude that people can see.

  730. We always have to attribute it to Christ.

  731. Whenever people ask me, you know, oh, you're so common situationally,

  732. so whatever or whatever.

  733. So, whether it's what, I know it or not,

  734. I was at every point I try and attribute it to my faith.

  735. I hear a lot of football footballers mentioned it as well.

  736. You know, it's like you,

  737. you know, love this.

  738. You hear some footballers mention, it's like, oh,

  739. you know,

  740. how do you manage to go back there after this,

  741. after the insults, you got a new website and you score the penalty or whatever

  742. it is. And so it's perfect.

  743. That's basically got me here.

  744. The attributing it.

  745. So the other qualities

  746. you can look at them and ask yeah like I said them that's, you know,

  747. the curious, you know, what is this person like that.

  748. That's the opportunity.

  749. That's another way spreading that word actually it's because of Jesus.

  750. Plus people said when he was talking to these people,

  751. it's like, you got to you got, a shrine to an unknown.

  752. God wanted to tell you the unknown God is

  753. you were there worshiping someone you don't know who you're worshiping.

  754. The golden God is talking about is the God,

  755. the unseen God.

  756. But yeah, I think we're at time.

  757. So once again, my apologies for the,

  758. technical difficulties in getting this set up on time.

  759. Hopefully we'll have another topic very soon.

  760. So thank you for bringing this one.

  761. Let's see if we can get one in the next couple of weeks.

  762. And, I did mention actually that where going to be hearing your story

  763. in your own exclusive one on one

  764. my faith journey kind of thing.

  765. Did I hear you?

  766. Because everybody in the podcast, I think you have,

  767. you don't use.

  768. Mine. Yeah.

  769. How I came to Faith or something like that, I think I did.

  770. You have an introduction? One. I know you did.

  771. I remember hearing this introduction, I had nothing.

  772. Well, just by myself alone.

  773. Oh, I hadn't done it the you know about it and.

  774. Yeah. Because, people. Christopher.

  775. Deborah Ryan, I think we has done this as well, like the whole episode.

  776. It was like a whole episode of one person doing the other, I think.

  777. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah.

  778. Christopher.

  779. Yeah. That's true.

  780. Let me go on to topics. Yeah, yeah.

  781. All right then.

  782. So thank you all and see you again next episode.

  783. Nice to chat.

  784. Thank you.

  785. I still started early. Not as always.

  786. It's all good.

  787. So but yeah a little weekend.

  788. I mean, we can.
