-
And doing research, you find out that this Bible man
-
can cause.
-
A whole lot of uproar.
-
And so that's why I wanted you to raise up
-
your Bible instead of your phone, because we find even
-
the Bible apps on the phone. I know a lot
-
of y'all have that Bible app. Every so often you'll
-
see them get on there and they'll ask you to
-
donate donate finances to help get bibles, because they still
-
take those Bibles and send those Bibles overseas to different
-
countries that don't allow them there.
-
So we're able to take part in that.
-
If you donate those finances to I can't remember exactly
-
which one it is because I have a couple of Bibles.
-
On my phone.
-
But if you donate to that Bible app, then they
-
buy bibles and they send them to those countries so
-
that those people will be able to get the Bibles.
-
And I say that because that opens up to the word,
-
the message that I'll be breaking forth today, And my
-
title is the power of the Living Word. My scripture
-
would be coming from Hebrews four and twelve. Amen. There
-
is so much power in this word, and I think
-
sometimes for us, especially in the United States, we take
-
that for granted. We don't understand how much power is
-
in the Word of God. And I'm talking about the
-
saints in the church because I think if we've realized
-
how much power was in the Word of God, then
-
we would be more willing to get into.
-
The Word of God.
-
It wouldn't be such a struggle for people to say,
-
read the words. You need to read the word, study
-
the words, you need to study the Word.
-
And I think sometimes too, we're just lazy.
-
And maybe there's a spirit of laziness running rampant throughout
-
the land, or somebody has convinced us that if we read,
-
that's gonna take away lot of our time, or we
-
could be doing something different. But there is so much
-
within the Word of God that can help us to
-
live the way that God has called us to live,
-
that we miss out on it because we won't pick.
-
Up the book. And again, we do have our phones.
-
But if you can invest in a good book, then
-
you can get more out of.
-
Your study a man.
-
And so as we get more out of our study,
-
then it will help us to get a better understanding
-
of what this power in this living Word can do
-
in our lives. So again, I've had you to sit down.
-
Now we're gonna stand up again. We're gonna keep that
-
blood moving a man. It's powering that blood too, right, Dedre,
-
not just that name, but it's blood too, okay. And
-
the Word of God says for the Word of God
-
is quick and powerful, and it's sharper than to any
-
too edged sword, perishing even to the dividing asunder of
-
the soul.
-
And the spirit.
-
And the joint and marrow, and is a discerner of
-
the thoughts and intents of the heart. May God at
-
a blessing to the reading, hearing, and the understanding of
-
his words, you may be seated.
-
Amen.
-
Now, Holy Spirit helped me to dissect this the way
-
you gave it to me, Amen, because I only got
-
this one.
-
Scripture to deal with right here. But we come off of.
-
Some scriptures talking about the children of Israel and how
-
they missed out on the rest. And I think what
-
I want to take from that is out of verse seven,
-
and it says and again he limited a certain day,
-
saying in David, today after so long a time, as
-
it is said today, if you will hear his voice,
-
harden not your hearts. Sometimes we can't hear because these
-
these old hearts of ours have been hardened. And I
-
don't want us to not hear this word because we
-
have hardened hearts. Sometimes even with this two edges sword,
-
it's kind of hard for it to get through because
-
somebody has a hardened heart, and that hardened heart is
-
hardened because there's already been so much where that individual
-
has not listened. Where the Lord has been given us instructions,
-
given us directions.
-
And we have not taken heed to it.
-
The Holy Spirit has been dealing with us about a
-
certain thing, but we have not taken heed to it.
-
God does not force himself upon us, but by his
-
spirit he will lead us. He will guide us, and
-
he will instruct us, but he won't put you in
-
a headlock and make you do it. That's what it
-
means when the Bible says that we have free will.
-
But the nature of God's word is that this book
-
is not a dead book. This is a living book.
-
This book is alive, it is active, and it is
-
very effective. We should know that just by where we
-
are right now, we're saved. We're saved, sanctified fill what
-
the Holy Ghost should be. The Word of God has
-
called us to wherever we are right now. Isaiah fifty
-
five and eleven says, show shall my word be the
-
going forth out of my mouth? It shall not return
-
to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
-
and it shall prosper in the thing where to I
-
sent it. Whatever God said in his word, it shall
-
be why.
-
Because he said it.
-
Because nothing that God has said has ever went out
-
and came back and did not happen the way God
-
said it. We know that from the beginning of time.
-
The Bible says that the earth was void.
-
It was empty.
-
There was nothing on the earth until God starts speaking.
-
And for six days God spoke, and everything that God spoke,
-
every word he said, it came to pass. When God said,
-
let there be water, there was water. When God said,
-
let there be land, there was land. When God said,
-
let there be light, there was light. When He separated
-
the earth from the heavens, it was separated. So everything
-
that God spoke has come to pass, and so his
-
word never returns to him void. So in the same sense,
-
Jeremiah twenty three and twenty nine says, it is not
-
my is not my word? Like a fire said the Lord,
-
and like a hammer that breaketh the rock into pieces.
-
God's word does exactly what it says it's gonna do.
-
And Jeremiah twenty three and twenty nine he was talking
-
to about some false prophets that it went out and
-
told his people all these lies, and so God was
-
coming against the false prophets. He wanted them to know
-
how powerful his word was because they was lying.
-
So and they went out and told his people lies.
-
So when we lie, our words don't mean nothing, but
-
what God said means everything. So God's word is so powerful.
-
He wanted them to know that my word is like
-
a hammer. So if I say something and my word
-
is true, my word gonna break it, break that rock
-
like a hammer has just hit that rock. That's how
-
true my word is. Now your word gonna fall to
-
the ground, especially if it's a lie. So these so again,
-
with these prophets talking you, you wasn't saying much because
-
you just lying. So a lot of times what we
-
say it just falls to the ground. But when God
-
says it, So that's how we know when we say
-
what God says is. That's why it's so important for
-
us to learn to not just speak what we want
-
to say, but to speak what thus said the Lord.
-
She was saying, and we was talking about Bible study.
-
We was in here on Wednesday night, just saying the
-
same thing. Be careful about when somebody always say.
-
What they think.
-
Or this is what I believe or I think this
-
if it don't line up with the word of God.
-
We don't want to be listening to what somebody else
-
is saying, because it's not about what people think, but
-
what is God said? Even about a situation that I
-
may be in. I don't want to try to figure
-
this situation out. I need to be going to the Lord.
-
What does God say about my situation? Because so many times,
-
even when we get into a funk, the first thing
-
we do and we start putting everything down, woe is me.
-
Oh I can't do this, man, this is gonna be
-
telling And that ain't what God said.
-
God said, we're more than conquer us in Christ.
-
Jesus ay man, and we'll go to saying, oh this
-
is and I can't do and that is what God said.
-
The situation might look bad, but God didn't say it
-
was bad. God say you can do all things through
-
Christ Jesus, who strengthens you. You might be weak but
-
where you weak, my strength is made what perfect. So
-
what we do is we talk ourselves out of a
-
lot of stuff because.
-
We're not speaking the word.
-
We done forgot that this word is like a two
-
edge of sword.
-
It can cut through that situation.
-
So what we do is we keep ourselves in a
-
place where we can't even adjust or we can't come
-
up because we steady keeping ourselves down by speaking what
-
we know, yeah, instead of saying what God has said.
-
So we fail to realize that this book, this book,
-
not them other books. Now, there's a lot of inspirational
-
books out there. There's a lot of life changing books
-
out there. Yeah, there's a lot of get rich books
-
out there. But them books ain't like this life changing book.
-
Them books ain't active like this book is. Them books
-
ain't effective like this book is. And this book has
-
everything in it. This book talks about marriage, This book
-
talks about finances.
-
This book talks about our highs and our lows.
-
Why do we keep going to everything and everybody else
-
instead of going to the good book. When we realize
-
and understand that this book has everything that we need,
-
then we'll stop going to everything and everybody else. And
-
so what we want to find out what today is.
-
What makes this two edged swords so powerful? This is
-
also the source.
-
Of our life. What makes this the source of our
-
life is.
-
Because life begin with God and God's word again in
-
the Creation. In Creation, it was God's word about everything too.
-
God's words are not only the source of our life,
-
but God's words sustains life.
-
So God's words sustains life.
-
In Colossians one in seventeen, it says He is before
-
all things, and in him all things hold us together.
-
This is God's word, his word. Everything that needs to
-
hold us is in God's word. Matthew six and eleven
-
says it's our daily bread. If this is our daily bread,
-
then we should daily partake in this. So many of
-
us partaking everything else daily, but not the Word.
-
We'll get up and we'll have a meal, but won't
-
have a.
-
Daily reading, a daily scripture, defeed, our spirit. We'll get
-
up and have a daily conversation with somebody that don't
-
know nothing about us, but won't get up and have
-
a daily devotional with God, who knows all about us.
-
We'll get up and watch TV every day, but won't
-
spend no time with the word of God.
-
That can show us how to live every day.
-
We'll get up and do everything else but partake and
-
what can show us how to live right every day?
-
And then we wonder why so many of us falter
-
at this life called Christianity, so many of us that
-
can't live right, so many of us that still walk
-
and sin, but call ourselves Christians. When we have a
-
daily map, not just the daily devotional, a daily map,
-
it's the map app the way that we should live,
-
the way that we should go, and how we should
-
do it when we should do it. And it's there
-
and we won't even use it. So whether we use
-
it on our phones or whether we use the book,
-
it's there.
-
And one of the things.
-
That I like to tell people also because I hear
-
a lot of people say, well, mate, I don't have time,
-
I'm busy. The but the looks that excuse was taken
-
out again when we got phones, because everybody got a
-
Bible on their phone. You can put that little AirPod,
-
little connector. I ain't seen nobody that did not have
-
one of them yet. You can get the one for
-
nineteen dollars. If you don't have one of them, will
-
help you out put it in your error and listen
-
to the word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by
-
the word of God. So you can listen to the
-
word of God all day long and bill your faith up.
-
So there's no excuses.
-
Technology has helped us out with those excuses. So the
-
Matthew four and Ford says, Jesus said it is written.
-
That was Jesus' way of warfare with Satan.
-
It is written. Whatever we need is written. It's all
-
written in the word of God. God did not leave
-
anything out. Everything that we need has been written down.
-
God has given inspiration to men. I heard that story
-
out of time where men wrote the Bible. So you're
-
getting information information for me. And no, those men were
-
inspired by the Holy Spirit. Come on now, now, it
-
wasn't It wasn't written by Larry Joe. These are powerful
-
men of God. These are men that we and especially
-
if you're a saint. Now, if you're a Satan, you
-
still stuck on that these were written by the men
-
of God.
-
You might not be a saint. Something may be written
-
you are ank. She say they ain't. They ain't saints.
-
Because if you believe in the Bible, then you have
-
to believe in the whole Bible. You can't say that
-
I believe in the Old Testament not the New Testament.
-
I believe in the New Testament, but not the Old Testament.
-
Or better yet, I done heard some people say, well,
-
I believe in John, but I don't believe in Romans
-
because Powell wrote this, but Paul didn't write that. And
-
I believe in some of what Pauel said, but not
-
all of what Paul said.
-
Because Paul said this, I wrote.
-
But this God told me, come on, now, come on,
-
God inspired every scripture that has been written. I don't
-
even want to hear the party about the parts that
-
are not in the Bible. God gave us what we
-
needed to know. He gave us what we needed to know.
-
This is for us.
-
And then what I say about the books that are
-
not in the Bible, know the Bible, and then go
-
look for the books that are not in the Bible.
-
But if you don't know this, why you're worried about
-
what's not in here? You don't even know what's in here,
-
but you married about what's not in here. I mean,
-
that don't even make sense. You ain't even got this,
-
damn Pat, But you're looking for the book of Enoch
-
and all the other books that ain't even in here,
-
and that's what it is.
-
But who is the author of confusion?
-
Come on now, your adversary, if he can get you,
-
I'll come misconstrued about this and then have you looking
-
for something that ain't even in here. Now you're even
-
more confused. So I'm just saying, get to know this. First,
-
study this, and then go out there. And if you
-
got this and you feel like you're living according to
-
all of this, then go get that. But right now,
-
let's get this and all you're getting, get an understanding
-
of this. Yeah, because we need this right here, because
-
right now what we really need is we need to
-
be transformed and renewed within our minds. So many of
-
us still have the world in us. We still Carnel minded. Yeah,
-
we hadn't even been transformed yet, and we're trying to
-
put some other stuff in us. So we need to
-
know that the power of the living Word has come
-
to transform us. That's why he said it's sharper than
-
a two edges sword. I looked up what a two
-
edges sword looked like. It's a knife, this double sided,
-
so when it goes in it was used in warfare.
-
So when that knife went in, it cut on both
-
sides the same way, so it doubled up on its
-
work going in and coming out, so it cut in
-
a percise way when it went in, but also when
-
it come out. So what it said was it did
-
a lot of damage. And in the damage that it did,
-
it said it was like it had consequences to it
-
because it would do some good damage and some bad
-
damage sometimes.
-
Yeah, yeah, good damage because.
-
Sometimes now because sometimes there's some good damage need to
-
be done. Sometimes you still got some stuff in you
-
that need to come out.
-
Now, I'm just.
-
Saying, See, you might not have realized that, but God do,
-
because God know us inside out right.
-
Yeah.
-
So so so some of that good damage is that
-
stuff that's still in you, and you may not have
-
recognized all better yet you might even know it's in there. Yeah,
-
you just ain't saying nothing, Yeah, because you you had
-
that's the part of you you trying to hold on too.
-
You know when I when I was first learning to
-
be a prayer warrior, and the late Lady More would
-
have people to come in here and train us, and
-
we had a lady one time to tell us quit
-
patent on them while you praying for them, she say,
-
because you patting on them spirits were trying to deliver
-
them and set them free. And they come up here
-
and y'all comforting and patting on them spirits. Yeah, y'all, y'all,
-
y'all stand back, cause you don't never know, she say.
-
And so while we praying and calling our spirits, if
-
you patent on them, you making those spirits feel comfortable.
-
So so back up, and don't ever let them come
-
up here holding hands, she said. If they come up
-
here like couples, separate them, cause when they come up
-
here like couples, they feel sorry for each other, especially
-
if one of them go to cry, she say, So
-
separate them and let them babies cry, a women, man,
-
whoever it is, let them cry, and let it get
-
them out of them, she say, because sometimes.
-
They be filled with spirits. It's demon spirits.
-
And if you go to patent on them spirits, them
-
spirits start to feel comfortable and don't want to come
-
up out of there, So don't pat on them. See,
-
sometimes we be holding onto stuff and don't understand what
-
we holding onto. But the thing about this word is
-
this word know everything, and why you holding on the
-
something because you think it's just a little bit of that. See,
-
it only took a little bit of livin spoil a
-
whole God know what it is. So that's why he
-
said a two edges spoid, cause you'd send that baby
-
in there and let that baby do what that baby
-
need to do. That's why the Word is like that
-
two edges sword, because the word know what to go
-
in there and cut and bring it out. You might
-
not want that word to go in there and cut
-
it and bring it out, but you best believe once
-
the word get in you know, the word gonna go
-
in there to do what the Word know to do. Now,
-
it just depends on you whether you're gonna partake in
-
the cutting. You got to be able to partake in
-
the cutting. That's why it's so important for us to
-
partake in the Word, and so many of us won't
-
partake in it. And that's the scary thing, because it's important.
-
We have to have it for our making. Again, the
-
Word says we must be transformed. It's the only thing
-
that transforms us into being who we were supposed to be,
-
were supposed to be Christ Like, I don't know how
-
to be like Christ. If I don't know who Christ was,
-
this is the only example of who Christ was. This
-
mirror's Christ. There's no other book the mirrors Christ. I
-
can't go get a news paper, I can't go to
-
a scholastics and get a book. The only book the
-
mirror of Christ is this one. So in order for
-
me to be transformed into the image of Christ, I
-
must partake in the reading of the Bible. They call
-
it the Basic Instructions before leaving Earth. I call it
-
the Mirror of Christ. I used to be kind of
-
confused on why I needed to study it, and that's
-
my testimony.
-
I thought I needed to memorize scripture.
-
That was the lot of enemy told me when I
-
first got say I needed to memorize scripture. It has
-
nothing to do with memorizing scripture. I'm just gonna help
-
you out. God wants me to know him. He don't
-
want me to memorize no scripture. If I get in here.
-
While I'm in here, if I memorize some scripture, that's good.
-
I just heard a bunch of people that was memorizing scripture,
-
so hey, that was the thing. Girl, Get in here
-
so you can memorize scripture. But without knowledge and revelation
-
of who he is. Memorizing scripture don't do you no good,
-
waste the time. Yeah, it's to reveal him to me
-
and to show me how to live. So that's what
-
it's for. So that's why we get to this scripture. See,
-
they they needed to find some rest in him. It's
-
hard to find rest in somebody that you don't know. Yeah, yeah, no,
-
I see, you can't find rest in somebody you don't know.
-
We don't even trust people that we don't know. Hey, God, hallelujah.
-
How can you find rest in somebody that you don't know?
-
So we have to know him through his word. Hallelujah, hallelujah.
-
So the Word of Christ John one in fourteen, Hey God,
-
hallelujah and John one in fourteen, and it says in
-
the Word was made flesh. The word is Christ. It
-
was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld
-
his glory as of the only Begod, in Father, full
-
of grace and truth.
-
Logos is who he is. Logos is Greek for the
-
word that's Jesus. Jesus was the word.
-
God took Jesus and placed him in flesh rolled up
-
his word and put it in flesh, and it walked
-
among us Jesus, the little baby wrapped in swallowing clothes,
-
the lily of the valley, the bright morning star.
-
Deidri is the word. That's why it is so important.
-
Did we get to know him as.
-
The word and then let him do what he came
-
to do. He came to transform it us into his image.
-
Who knows him better than he do?
-
And so when we partaking the word, we partaken him.
-
John five and thirty nine said, search the scriptures, for
-
in them ye think ye have eternal life.
-
And they are they which testify me.
-
That's what Jesus was telling the people. Y'all think y'all
-
got it all together. Just don't know that when you
-
searching these scriptures they testifying to me.
-
Because they kept telling him he was blasphemous. Who gonna
-
testify you? He said, my father. But when you search
-
the scriptures.
-
They testified me too, all of them smart phariseesans. Had
-
you sees, y'all have read all that word, and this
-
don't testified to me, And y'all still don't even believe it.
-
So when we search the scriptures, they testify Jesus. They
-
testify who.
-
We should be, how we should be, how we should walk,
-
how we should talk, how we should act. Hey, yeah,
-
I'm just saying we don't get to be who we
-
want to be. We've been paid for with the price.
-
We no longer belong to us anymore. Yeah, so we
-
get a whole new makeover. And then the makeover just
-
in case some of us decide I don't want to
-
look like that. As we read the word, it helps
-
us to see exactly how we are supposed to look.
-
You can never have the.
-
Fruit of the spirit if you don't partake in the word.
-
And then he says, this is how you know them.
-
How would I know? How would they know? You'll know
-
them by the fruit that they bear. And then I
-
hear people say, well, I don't care what people think,
-
and it don't matter to what people say. Well, that
-
deck to differ, because the Bible says that's how.
-
You gonna know them. He wants them to know us.
-
He want us to be separated from them. Yeah, we're
-
supposed to look different from the world. We're supposed to
-
talk different, act different. Yeah, that's like saying I'm gonna
-
send all my kids over here and then I'm gonna
-
put Jenny.
-
Seu's kids over here.
-
But I want y'all to tell me what's the difference
-
between my kids and Jenny's How y'all gonna know my
-
kids from Jenny Suz's kids. There has to be a
-
difference between my kids and Jenny Seu's kids.
-
Because if it ain't.
-
A difference between my kids and Jenny Schoo's kids, when
-
I say, go get my girl, you realven win got
-
Jenny Schoo's girl and bother to men, I don't want
-
Jenny Sue's girl.
-
I want my girl.
-
And I'm just saying if that simplifies that, because well,
-
some people will kind of get messed up on that one,
-
and that's carnal. If that's the way you still think
-
that we should not be separate from the world, that's carnal,
-
meaning that's worldly thinking we should be separate from the world.
-
God wants to make sure that we.
-
Know the difference between his children and Satan's children, because
-
he said that there is his children and their Satan's children.
-
God himself says that that's not me, that's that's in
-
the word. So we need to make sure that we
-
get in alignment with God, say soul on what his
-
children should look like. So this is the nature Hallelujah
-
of God. But we want to get to the power
-
of his word. Amen, because that his word is sharp,
-
he said. God's word is sharper than a two edges
-
of sword. It's sharpened on both sides. But figuratively it
-
refers to something with both positive and negative consequences, something
-
that cuts both ways, harming both intended targets and potentially
-
the user or cause. The word of God is more
-
potent than any physical weapon because it's able to expose
-
your deepest.
-
And most internal parts without grave injury or physical death.
-
It's not much can do that, but the word of
-
God can.
-
It can expose your inner parts, your most innerparts, without
-
killing you, not physically but spiritually. And a lot of
-
us got some spiritual things that possibly need to be
-
put to death that ain't right with God. Amen says,
-
it's never never wounds randomly, and it cuts with a purpose.
-
Paul in Ephesians sixteen seventeen calls it the sword of
-
the spirit as one of our weapons in a spiritual warfare.
-
The word of God is what we war with. It
-
is our power to win a spiritual warfare. Tewod Corinthians
-
ten and four says, for the weapons of our warfare
-
are not cardinal, but they're mighty unto God for the
-
pulling down the strongholds.
-
So we need the word of God as a way
-
to fight with.
-
At the word of God of a way to fight,
-
then we will be fighting like.
-
The world fight.
-
And God ain't called us to fight with these fists.
-
God has called us again to fight with the word
-
of God. Remember, Jesus just kept telling Satan, it is written,
-
and that's all he said.
-
Satan was the it is written.
-
And so many of us are still fighting Satan by
-
I don't even know what, because we're still fighting Satan,
-
and Satan's still messing with us, and we're still giving
-
him the word.
-
Maybe we're giving him the wrong word.
-
Maybe we are coming at him with I'm sick of you,
-
because he's saying you what, instead of telling him he's
-
a defeated folk, get up under my feet, I'm tired,
-
leave me alone.
-
And he saying, you say you what, And so he.
-
Keep coming back, and it's the same situation, and you
-
keep telling him the same thing, and he's saying, but
-
she say what, So he keeps sending them over there
-
when we need to tell him that God said I
-
was more than a conqueror, that I'm the head and
-
I'm not to tell that you get behind me. Yeah,
-
the Lord rebukes you, Satan. You know you are lieing
-
and the Word is the truth. Whatever I mean. If
-
we study telling him, well, my baby is my baby,
-
so don't touch.
-
Her, I mean, he don't understand that.
-
And he don't because you you talking to him in
-
the language that he don't understand. We have to we
-
have to remember that Satan no the word. That was
-
the only reason why he could be defeated with And
-
remember he was taking the word and he was manipulating it. Yeah,
-
Satan don't have his own Satan takes the word of
-
God and he imitates.
-
So if he's the.
-
Imitator of the word of God and you're giving him
-
something that you God, he don't imitate you, so he
-
don't know what you're talking about.
-
But if you give him.
-
The word of God because he imitates God, then yeah,
-
he understand that. So he know that he can't get
-
over on God, but if he can get over on you,
-
so that helps him to know whether it's you or
-
whether it's God. So we need to remember that we're
-
not fighting somebody on our level. We fight somebody just
-
on God's level, and he understands where our level is
-
once we start talking to him. And if we're talking
-
to him and we're talking to him in our own language.
-
I got her. Yeah, I'm not worried about her. She
-
don't even know the word, she says, she hears. So
-
another reason for us to get into the word. While
-
the Word is cleaning us up, then we can also
-
get us.
-
Some scripture to fight with. They man. The word is
-
also Pierson.
-
The word of God pierces the heart of men, which
-
brings forth conviction. Acts two and thirty seven says, now
-
when they heard this, they were pricked in their hearts.
-
The word of God brings forth conviction if it's not
-
convicting you on something that you did. Because when I
-
was writing this one day, and the Lord reminded me
-
of how when I first got saved, and people I
-
was saying, ooh, that that convicts me. I can't listen
-
to that no more. That convict me? And they'd be like,
-
will they convict you? It don't convict me? And I say, well,
-
I can't. I can't do this no more, y'all because
-
that convict me. Man, they convict you, but it don't
-
convict me. And so he reminded me that everybody don't
-
get convicted because a lot of people just don't take convictions,
-
not that they don't get convicted.
-
We might not be convicted about every little thing that's
-
the same, but sin is sin.
-
So if it's a sin and you ain't getting convicted,
-
that's that's just because you're not getting convicted or you're
-
not heeding to the conviction. Put it that way, because
-
some people won't. And that's what starts to hearten your heart.
-
And that's what the Lord.
-
Showed me because there's some people that he's convicted about
-
sining and they just want heed to the conviction. And
-
so the more that your God convicts you about a
-
sin and you don't heed to that conviction, you get
-
your heart gets heartened towards him because you're not listening.
-
So one of the other things he took me back
-
to was when I was first saved, because I was
-
newly saved, I wasn't raised up in the church yet.
-
Most of y'all know my test money. And so I
-
had a young lady that used to always bring me scriptures,
-
and I thank God for now. I didn't then because
-
I just thought she was always beating up on me,
-
and so was God, which again helped me to understand
-
what this sword does. Because it hurts, it don't feel good,
-
but God chastings those whom he loves. So she would
-
bring me scriptures. First, lady, love more than I'm telling you.
-
Man.
-
I thought this her and God had it after me,
-
and I would ask God all the time, why you
-
keep beating me up?
-
Every scripture she gave me was bad.
-
I mean he was gonna curse me and he was
-
gonna do stuff to me. This was like old Testament,
-
Go get them people scriptures.
-
And I was like, good this, Jesus, I mean, like
-
what I do.
-
And then you're a foreigner, cater, you're an adulterys and
-
you did you nasty up and I was like goodness.
-
But I didn't know what she was talking about. I
-
didn't know church. So but what it did was push
-
me to read the word and look up stuff.
-
Because what's a fornicato? Well looked up fornicato. It was me.
-
I said, oh, Lord, I'm fornicating. Yeah, I was a fornicator.
-
Not only was our fornicado, y'all, I was an adulteress.
-
I didn't know what that meant. I was.
-
I was married and me and Alden had got back together,
-
and hey, I did not know.
-
This and I was doing all this stuff.
-
But let me help you out if it's any fornicatos
-
adulteress over the earl waves or sitting here, I'm just
-
telling you.
-
As soon as the Lord.
-
Bout this to my attention, soon as he did, I
-
felt a conviction. My heart didn't feel right no more.
-
And so I went to him and I said, boy,
-
we can't do this no more. I did, no, sure,
-
sure cannot because I don't feel right and this ain't right.
-
And yet man, and tried it.
-
After I had found out then it wasn't right, and
-
heart was hurt. Heart was heavy, and I man, I say,
-
you got to go stay with your sister or something
-
got to give. And because of who God is, that's
-
how I know the word will hurt if you living
-
right for God and you want to do right for God.
-
Yeah, yeah, that conviction gonna come.
-
It's gonna hurt, but God gonna help you to get right,
-
because I didn't know nothing about no divorces, none of that.
-
And I'm telling you God worked that thing out. I
-
did my own divorce, didn't need a lawyer. I was
-
telling somebody the other day that was my testimony. Thrifty
-
nickel newspaper. I they don't even think they made thrifty
-
nickels anymore, But I wouldn't. Got a thrifty nickel newspaper
-
from United Grocery Store.
-
I'll never forget it.
-
In the thrifty nickel newspaper, there was an ad that
-
said you could do your own self divorce. Got that
-
at that newspaper. Did my own self divorce. When printed
-
out the paperwork, went to the courthouse, got what I
-
need to do. I don't even know how long it took,
-
but it did not take long. I ain't even have
-
the money for the divorce. That's fine, because God was
-
all up in this thing. My ex husband was looking
-
for a divorce too. The man drove from Fort Work,
-
came down here, paid for the divorce. Thirty days later
-
we was divorced. I think thirty days later we were
-
standing right here and this man was marrying us. Don't
-
you tell me what God won't do when you trying
-
to do it right. See that's what I'm saying. But
-
that's this word is powerful because all this come through
-
the reading of the word.
-
One woman read it, told me about it. I went
-
back and read it, and conviction came. I was able
-
to be transformed, renewed in my mind. And now don't
-
walking and write standing with God. See, people that.
-
Don't change, they don't change because they don't want to change.
-
See I said that earlier. Some people just have an excuse.
-
They want to stay in sin. But God don't want
-
us to stay in sin. That's why he gave us
-
a whole book, a living word. See, we don't have
-
much time. We ain't never had much time, even though
-
we don't know when that time is. I always say
-
this time is not based off of Jesus. Do you
-
know how many people have passed and Jesus still ain't came.
-
It has nothing to do about when Jesus is coming,
-
when you going.
-
Because if we keep waiting on Jesus.
-
To come, some of us not even gonna be here
-
when we get here. We can't let that be our excuse.
-
We need to get it right. While the time is right.
-
So we have to understand that this word is so
-
powerful that God is using the word right now to
-
change us.
-
Right now.
-
You might not have tomorrow, but you got right now.
-
So because this word is piercing, it appears through everything
-
that the enemy is trying to use or you trying
-
to use to.
-
Keep God from getting through it.
-
The Holy Spirit uses the word to perience the heart,
-
producing repentance. When I didn't know, God knew, and God
-
used the word to get to me. So in that
-
it's almost like the word does a surgical operation.
-
When he gave me that, I thought of the surgeon.
-
I end up having five surgeons within a four year span,
-
and I think the worst out of all of them surgeons.
-
I used to think was the.
-
Anesthesia, but after doing this study, I think the worst
-
was the cut. Even though you can't feel the cut
-
when you come out of the surgeon.
-
If anybody has.
-
Ever had a surgery, when you come out of the
-
surgery and you look at that cut, and how precise
-
that surgeon is with that cut, can you see the
-
precision of God? If that surgeon has been trained to
-
do such a precise cut, Just think of our Father
-
when he cuts thank God Man.
-
He's surgical. Two.
-
Hey, God, the word and that word is just cutting,
-
and it's doing the right word to cut right how
-
to cut, knowing what to cut, what not to cut,
-
making sure he gets exactly what he needs, and being
-
able to go around what he don't need so that
-
he don't hurt anything.
-
Because if you ever had a surgery and.
-
They like missed the spot and got the wrong thing.
-
I done.
-
Heard some people say, well, they should have went over here,
-
but no they didn't.
-
They went over there. But it says where the word
-
goes deeper.
-
That's the surgical operation, to not only deal with the what,
-
but the why. The word exposes the enner, the soul,
-
and the spirit. Like a skilled surgeon. The word of
-
God doesn't just treat the symptoms. God gets to the
-
root of things. The surgical procedure brings forth transformation, which
-
means the cut in the way of sinful habits and thoughts.
-
And because no surgery is without pain, Hebrews twelve and
-
eleven says, now no chastening for the present seemeth to
-
be joyous, but grievous. Nevertheless, afterword it yielded the peaceable
-
fruit of righteousness. Unto them which are exercised. Thereby, it's
-
gonna hurt for a little while, but just know it's
-
working for your good. Yeah, I'm telling you it hurt
-
for a little while, and that's how you know that
-
you don't need it. That's how you know that you
-
don't need it, because no.
-
Pain, no gain.
-
I've never gained anything without a little pain. That's even
-
an exercise. You don't gain muscle without some pain. You
-
got to put in some work to get that. And
-
when you start putting in that work, it hurts. That's
-
how you can normally tell when the muscle is starting
-
to get tight, because you will start getting that pain.
-
That's why i ain't did it in a while, But
-
I'm just being honest with you. You'll start feeling that it's tension,
-
and it's like that with us in our lives. But
-
you gotta keep at it. And it's the same way
-
with partaking in the word. We gotta keep at it.
-
The word can't.
-
Never exposed to us who we really are.
-
If I only pick it up once a month, I'm
-
gonna take that back, because that's even if you only
-
pick it up once a week, And for some of us,
-
if you only pick it up once a day. If
-
we have enough time to pick up the word once
-
or twice a day and be consistent in that and
-
not just pick it up and read it. One of
-
the things that I'm learning to do is the when
-
I get into the word, say here I am, Lord
-
exposed me to me. That's been my prayer, and I
-
believe that's why the Lord gave me this message. Because
-
the more that I pray that, the more that I
-
find Him exposing me to me. I done got to
-
the point where I'm not praying to God about other
-
people anymore. I'm praying to God about me, because if
-
I'm not right, I can't help nobody else get right.
-
And what I look like praying and asking God to
-
do something fix somebody else? And I'm broke. So the
-
first thing I do now when I do my prayer time,
-
it's hearing my Lord. I'm like David, here a mine
-
expose me to me, because I believe that there's some
-
stuff in me that sometimes I don't see why because
-
I'm not perfect. I'm not perfect, and I can falter
-
at any time, don't I done. Just been sitting y'all,
-
and then had some thoughts, and I'll be.
-
Like, whoa, Yike's what happen? Damn?
-
Where did that come from? And I'm just saying that
-
all honesty. I can always tell on me. First, I
-
don't know where that came from. That was not even
-
my thought. Lord Jesus, get that out of my head.
-
So I have to watch me. I have to take
-
care of me, filter my mind, filter my body.
-
Lord, anything in me does.
-
Not like you, Lord, uproot that thing right now, in
-
the name of Jesus.
-
You cut it out.
-
And so I'm saying, that's what his word does.
-
So when I get into the word, Lord, use your
-
word to expose me.
-
Is there any ill thoughts, any ill feelings, anything in
-
me does not like you.
-
Man, expose that thing to me.
-
And so that's what the Lord was showing me when
-
he was talking about the surgical procedure, because that's what
-
he does. And in surgery he can expose everything because
-
in surgery he can cut you open.
-
The word can cut you open, expose.
-
And go in there and surgically remove anything that needs
-
to be taken out. Because he said, sometimes there can
-
be some hidden things in us, some things that we
-
don't even see. That's why it's good to pray that prayer.
-
Verse thirteen says, neither is there any creature that is
-
not manifest in his sight, But all things are naked
-
and open into the eyes of.
-
Him with whom we have to do. He can see it.
-
It might be something to know.
-
You can't say here, I am, Lord, here, I am.
-
I don't think we think about stuff like that, but
-
he know. So we need to start saying, Lord, here,
-
I am. Search me if you ain't scared to say that,
-
because I think that takes something to be able to
-
say Lord, here, I am anything in me? Yeah, because
-
that's the only way that we're gonna find out, because
-
there's some hidden and He wants us to know that.
-
And some of that.
-
Stuff won't ever come out except that we give God
-
permission to take it out, because again, we serve a
-
God that does not force himself upon us.
-
It's some stuff that you've gotten.
-
You got it because you want to keep it, and
-
He not gonna just forcefully take that thing from you.
-
He probably been dealing with you again and bought for
-
some convictions and you still not listening, so you still
-
got that thing. But we're praying for you on today
-
that you'll have a heart in mind to take heed
-
to this word. The Word of God does not just
-
look at what we do again, it looks at why
-
we do what we do. Psalms thirty nine, twenty three
-
and twenty four says, search me, Oh God, that's me.
-
Search me, o God, and know my heart.
-
Try me and know my thoughts, and see if there
-
be any wicked way in me, and lead me in
-
the way of everlasting. Many of times there are things
-
in us that again even we don't know of we
-
have closed our eyes to or our ears.
-
If the spirit has been trying to deal with us again,
-
it's time.
-
For us to say, here I am Lord, to commit
-
ourselves unto God, to say, Lord, have done own weigh
-
in us. The exposures as mentioned earlier will lead us
-
to a place of repentance, but not only a place
-
of repentance, a place of renewal in our thoughts and
-
in our hearts. Our response for this should be that
-
we should want to read more with an expectation when
-
we read the Word of God.
-
It's not again just.
-
To especially if you would memorizing scripture. If you memorize
-
some scripture, that's good. Yeah, If you don't again the
-
Holy Spirit to bring it back to you, and it's
-
needed a man. But we should have an expectation that
-
when we read, expect for our lives to be changed.
-
First off, because that's what it's for.
-
Expect for God to change our lives through the partaking
-
of His word.
-
Expect to be transformed again.
-
The Bible says that if we've all been called to
-
be transformed, transformed and renew within our minds, how can
-
we be changed from who we used to be to
-
who God has called us to be without knowing the
-
word of God. We don't even know know who we're
-
supposed to be if we don't know the word of God.
-
I mean, the butterfly didn't know that it was I
-
mean the caterpillar didn't know it was supposed to be
-
a butterfly until it turned it into a butterfly. So
-
we don't know until we get in here, and that
-
is so important. I don't know why church people think
-
that they're not supposed to read to God, that everything
-
they get they're supposed to get from the pastor of
-
a Sunday school teacher or whoever has the word, because
-
you can't take them home with you, and you only
-
see them once a week, twice a week if you
-
go to Bible study. And so then you have Christians
-
walking around here who don't know anything. And like when
-
we're saying on Wednesday, they're feeding off of social media.
-
And half the people on social media, man.
-
They're they're googling, they're chat yeah, chat GPT.
-
I was looking at a couple the other day, and
-
and they have whatever you want to call it. And
-
they're on the telling people that you don't sin once
-
you get saved, that you you don't sin, and they're
-
arguing with people who are saying, well I do sin, Well,
-
you don't have to. But that's the whole reason why
-
we have an advocate in heaven. It's the whole reason
-
why God gives us the opportunity to ask for forgiveness.
-
So if we were gonna never send no more, but
-
they arguing with them. So hey, but I'm just saying,
-
we got all of these people walking around in confusion
-
because they won't pick up the word and get and
-
be informed by them own selves. Will probably read a
-
love story before they'll read the Bible, which makes no sense,
-
especially if you're gonna call yourself a Christian, but have
-
an expectation when we read the Bible and expect the
-
Bible to convict you.
-
Unless you're perfect, I get convicted.
-
I'm just saying, because I'll be reading this sometimes I'll be.
-
Like, oh, yeah.
-
I don't close it, but I'd be like whooah. I mean,
-
it helps us to know that the Word of God
-
is for us, it's living. And again we talk about
-
how reading some of the scriptures in the Old Testament.
-
We're looking at the Old Testament right now, seeing a
-
lot of the things that was in the Old Testament
-
written hawever many years ago. Goodness, it's been manifested right
-
before our eyes in the world that we're living in
-
right now.
-
So we know that.
-
This word is a living word. I mean when people
-
say that I don't believe in the Bible, well, you
-
keep believing what you want to believe. But I see
-
some of the stuff that was written over two thousand
-
years ago, way over two thousand years ago, this happening
-
right now today. Yeah, So you keep believing what you
-
want to believe. So when I get in here, I
-
got an expectation. And then the other thing is engaged
-
with the word. We're taught that in Bible study. When
-
I first joined the church, ask questions, what, why?
-
Why? When? How? So? You said? What God? You meant
-
to say? What? Yeah, engage with what you're reading, ask
-
those questions, and then submit submit to the word of God.
-
Don't resist the word when it exposes you of your
-
sin and your wrongdoing. Man, Okay, Lord, I see why
-
I was wrong. That's why I said when I heard
-
that I was a fornicator, Okay, hey, I got to.
-
Make this right. I just didn't know what fornicating was.
-
I wasn't shamed, man, I'm hey, I got to get
-
this right. Man.
-
And again, it did not feel right. Sining.
-
You should not feel good if you see that you're sinning.
-
Man, I don't. I don't know about anybody else. But
-
it hurt me.
-
And the reason that I I believe it hurt me
-
is because what I realized is that I was hurting
-
God for me. It hurt me to know that I
-
was hurting him.
-
There was a girl.
-
I have a real deep sensitivity to hurting God.
-
I had the spirit convict me a.
-
While back about what was that having some bitterness and
-
and I think I cried because I didn't I didn't
-
want to have bitterness in my heart.
-
My whole thing was I was dealing.
-
With some stuff and like I said, I can always
-
tell on me. I was really struggling in the area
-
and I was like, well, hey, Lord, kind of like
-
sister Tamika there. I mean, I think we be going
-
through stuff and we kind of keep it to ourselves.
-
But I was still the place, was like, okay, God,
-
I'm ready to go.
-
I was gonna take my own self out, but I
-
know I'm with you, so you can take me.
-
Yeah. And then the Lord told me.
-
Now, cause if I take you right now now, you're
-
not going with me. And I was like why And
-
he allowed me to see that I had some bitterness
-
in my heart and I'm just that's how our Father
-
works with us. And so I needed to get that
-
thing right. And when the Lord showed me that I
-
had some bitterness, Hey, what I need to do to
-
work that thing out? And so anytime there's some sin,
-
because that's not that's sin.
-
God ain't called us up to walk in bitterness. Yo.
-
If you need to forgive somebody, you need to forget
-
that person. Don't let Satan tell you, hey that it's
-
okay to be mad and angry for a long time.
-
The devil is a lie.
-
That's that scripture again, all those words is in here.
-
Sometimes we just get in our flesh, won't let some
-
stuff go cause cause we want to do woe is me,
-
or whatever the case may be. So we need to
-
make sure that we're always in the right standing with God.
-
That's why I say, Lord exposed me to me on today.
-
So helping somebody out, make sure we're out daily, go
-
before the Lord daily.
-
Lord, I repent on today. Lord, forgive me on today.
-
God, if it's something that I need to get right,
-
because that's why I say. It ain't even always about
-
when Jesus is coming, but I want to make sure
-
it ain't time for me to go and I'm going
-
and I'm in a state that's not right with you.
-
So make sure that once we see something, we submit
-
ourselves unto God.
-
God, I want to make sure I'm in right standing
-
with You.
-
And then as we're in the word, obey and apply
-
so that we can be transformed. If I'm reading something
-
and I'm not in obedience to that part of the word, no, no, no, no,
-
let me get that right and let me apply that
-
to God. Transfer happens when we can be convicted about
-
a thing and then bring it into action by changing it.
-
I'm not right in this area, so I feel a conviction. God,
-
forgive me. Let's make this right. I need to get
-
this right with you, God. I need to align myself
-
with your will and your way so that I can
-
get some help in this area. And then closing, let
-
us be committed to letting the Bible vibrantly live through
-
us daily, meaning that we must be partakers of God's
-
word daily that it may have its perfect work within
-
us and.
-
Through over us.
-
God's word doesn't work within us, we miss out on
-
what God wants to do when we don't partake in
-
his word.
-
God wants to change us. He wants to transform us.
-
He wants to renew us in our mind, that old
-
thinking thinking that we be doing.
-
God want that out of us, that thinking like the world,
-
that living like the world, that doing.
-
Things like the world. Y'all, that's all cardinal. God ain't
-
called us to be cardinal. There is no way.
-
The Bible says that the cornal mind is that enmity
-
with God. It's at war with God. So if I'm
-
at war with God.
-
No no, No, that means there's no peace between me
-
and him.
-
I want to be at peace with the Father.
-
I'm just saying, man, I just said, because who can
-
find rest in somebody that they don't trust? And I
-
want God to I don't only want to trust God, y'all,
-
I want God to trust me. I think meant that
-
was a conversation me and you used to have if
-
he was your if he'd seen you as a friend,
-
and I would say, he see me as a friend
-
because we're friends.
-
Men, God, I don't know about everybody else. Yeah, yeah,
-
that yeah.
-
And I want to keep it that way. So I
-
don't want to have carnal thoughts.
-
I don't want to walk with carnal thoughts. I don't
-
want to have carnal ways.
-
And so I used to but here all the time
-
when I first got saved, and now I hear it
-
all the time.
-
So I guess it ain't even just from years ago.
-
Some other people have picked it up and.
-
They running with it that you're so spiritual, you're no
-
earthly good.
-
That that that makes no sense, makes no sense.
-
You cannot be so spiritual that you cannot be any
-
earthly good.
-
God has called.
-
Us to be spiritual. We are spiritual beings. That's why
-
you're such a peculiar person. We are not supposed to
-
be like the world. When we can get that out
-
of our mindsets, God has not called us to be
-
like the world. How can you continue to witness to
-
somebody and you just like them, and you have the
-
same thoughts as that they they have, You have the
-
same ways that that what are we witnessing to them about.
-
You can't witness to the world to the dark about
-
light if you're not the light.
-
Light and darkness is different.
-
If the dark witnesses to the dark, that's not a
-
witness that's a conversation.
-
So that's why we don't witness to each other.
-
What we do is fellowship the Bible cause it fellowship
-
because of a communion. We witness to dark because the
-
light should illuminate the darkness. But dark don't witness to dark,
-
and light don't witness to light.
-
There's a because there's a difference.
-
So spiritual don't witness to spiritual. Spiritual witness to carnal.
-
But if you have a carnal mindset and you're bringing
-
colnel to colonel, you're not witnessing because you're giving them
-
the same thing that they already have. They need to
-
know something different. If my friend, when she was coming
-
to me, if she would have come to me with
-
worldly things, I more than likely would have never accepted
-
what she gave me. And the thing about my friend
-
was I got saved first, and she was Jehovah's witness.
-
She got saved through me because she recognized the difference.
-
We used to be drinking buddies.
-
And when I got saved, she said, he did such
-
a thing with you.
-
I want what you got.
-
So we literally at work, went into the bathroom and
-
again did the senter's prayer what I knew to do
-
as a center's prayer, and he got saved automatically.
-
She started changing.
-
So when she started changing and stopped doing the Jehovah
-
witness thing.
-
She already had some word in her because she was
-
Jehovah witness. I've never met a Jehovah witness that did
-
not have word. So she started preaching to me. Because
-
I'm new to the word. I didn't get saved with
-
no word, y'all. I just got saved. And I always
-
get his testimony.
-
Because I loved my brother in law and my sister
-
in law, and I remember when I first got saved.
-
They was trying to tell me how to read my Bible. Y'all.
-
I didn't know nothing about nothing. And Vivi girl used
-
to teach Sunday school and Chill.
-
Gave me his prison ministry and he did and he
-
used to tell me, well, my nickname was we We
-
for y'all to didn't know, he said.
-
We we read the Book of Proverbs.
-
You can read a chapter of day because he got
-
thirty one chapters in it, and read you a chapter
-
every day, and that'll help you with the Book of Proverbs.
-
Something they helped me. I tell you, I didn't know
-
nothing by nothing. And Lin would tell me read some
-
scriptures because I talked Sunday school. And then he'll come Brenda,
-
and she was the one that was doing all the preaching.
-
That was her name, and she would give me all
-
these scriptures.
-
But she was helping me. But they wasn't giving me
-
what the world said.
-
Now, my sister in law and my brother in law
-
wasn't professing to be saved, but Brenda was. But I
-
was still receiving for all of them because they was
-
giving me word. Now you talking to a bunch of
-
drunks that used to go sit under the tree. And
-
while we was under the tree, y'all, we used to
-
tell Bible study. I don't know if you nothing.
-
She's shaking our head, so I know she remember. I
-
was just being safe.
-
I don't know if she remember, but we used to
-
we used to w uh and now he I can't
-
even uh. Don Radley would be over there cooking now,
-
and he saved. So I'm just saying, look how the
-
Lord is, cause Don Ridley used to be over there barbecuing,
-
and we be setting under this tree, and we'd all
-
be drunk as a skunk, and but we'd be setting
-
under that tree, and it was a whole Bible study
-
under that tree. And I don't know that any of
-
us knew much of what we were talking about when
-
we were drunking. Jesus was the topic of the conversation. And again,
-
I can tell you this now, the majority of us
-
are saved. We're in church now, So don't tell me
-
what the Word of God won't do sharpen than any
-
two edge of sword cut even to the son of
-
the sinners. So not just for the the saints setting
-
in the church, house. Keep reading this Bible if you
-
want to setting under the tree drunk. And I'm telling
-
telling you, but we would sit there and read this
-
Bible and I received everything from everybody that gave me
-
something because I didn't know.
-
And so I see where I am today. And I
-
say that because.
-
Again I realized that with carnality, we wasn't sitting there
-
and we wasn't playing. We were serious in what we
-
were saying, especially the ones that new She talked Sunday School.
-
Chip did some prison ministry. I'm guessing you know how
-
when people go to prison and.
-
They do they study their word. When we first got saved,
-
was the Bible study teacher at the house. I'm just
-
being honest. We didn't go to church for a year
-
and a half. Our first year of church was setting
-
at our kitchen table, and we made to Niko and
-
Pat set at the kitchen table with us, and we
-
would go around the table and we all did picked
-
the Bible verse, pick Bible verse, somebody gonna eat and
-
we're gonna all explain it when we come back the
-
next time. So I'm just telling you what the Word
-
of God did, and even though we wasn't we might
-
not always got it right. We picked them out, so
-
but we picked them out. But but again I'm saying
-
that to say this, because the cornal mind wouldn't even
-
pull out a Bible. The cornal mine gonna sit there
-
and tell you what they think and what they believe.
-
I think this is what the words say. I think
-
this is what it means. You know them people that
-
that ain't even picked up one yet, And I think
-
this is what God is doing. Now, we took the
-
we had, we had the Bible, and that's why I said,
-
this is the living word.
-
This word is power.
-
For what comes out of here is so powerful that
-
it saves drunken sinners. Then it'll soap up somebody. Then
-
it'll take the drug man and stop him from dealing drugs.
-
I believe that.
-
Then it'll bring the prostitute off the ConA hallelujah.
-
So what I'm saying is when we.
-
Get the realization of how powerful this word is, witness
-
witnessing becomes easy because I'm not out there telling people
-
what I think.
-
I'm telling people what that said the Lord.
-
Even if it's just that God said he loves you,
-
that God said he called you out of his darkness
-
into his marveulous light. That Jesus died for you. He
-
didn't just die for me, he died for us.
-
All. Yeah, it don't. It don't a whole lot.
-
Some people think you got to preach a whole sermon.
-
So you ain't got to preach a whole sermon.
-
Yeah.
-
All you just gotta do is give them a couple
-
of words, living words out of here, and it'll change
-
somebody's whole life.
-
And so that's why I'm.
-
Saying that, because we don't have to give them what
-
we think they need. We have to give them what
-
God says. And God just want them to have the
-
Word because it's the word that changes them. It's the
-
word that illuminates and brings somebody out of darkness into
-
his marvelous life.
-
So as we continue to allow the Word.
-
To get into us, then what we do is allow
-
the Word to come out of us, and then we
-
give that to somebody else. Stop giving people what we think,
-
stop giving people how we feel, Just give people Jesus.
-
Just give people the Word. Amen.
-
And so again, as our close today, it says, let
-
us be sure to allow the Word of God to
-
dwell richly in our hearts. And as it dwells richly
-
in our hearts, then we allow it to illuminate through
-
our lives.
-
Amen. Amen,
