I'm Looking For A Real Love - Overseer Chris Moore

The Book of Ephesians, if you will stand on your

feet for the reading of God's words, chapter number five,

Chapter number five, And let me tell you that we'll

continue to walk in what we call expository study and

preaching as we have some upcoming preachers to understanding that

we're living in the generation now that people will have

itching ears hallelujah and being tossed to and fro with

every sound of doctrine. The only doctrine that's true. It's

not the Baptist doctrine. It's not the Pentecostal doctrine. It's

not the Presbyterian doctrine. It's not the Catholic doctrine. It's

the Bible doctrine. Be a logic. Hey man, I don't

need to hear another man's opinion on that doctrine. I

need to hear from God. Hallelujah. So we've been walking

through the Book of Ephesians, if you will, and so

we've dealt with the theology that Paul takes our time.

Thank you, elders. Paul takes our time to first teach

the people of God because he understands that if if

we are taught, and if we know better, and we

can do better. He's dealing with a people that do

not know him, and it is necessarily that the principles

of the Oracles, first of all, is to be taught.

We have to know something before we can teach something.

Were really gonna know God, We need to know the

theology of God, and our theology needs to be based

on truth.

Hallelujah.

If it's not based on truth, then I thinking is

not right. If I thinking it's not right, then our

talking is not right. If I talking is not right,

then our teaching is not right. And people are being

taught to and fro. But we begin now, and we

started in the Ephesian chapter number four that Paul says,

after you have been taught, you so learned. So there's

a certain way, brothers and sisters that we just don't

claim to be saved, but we look like we're saved, Okay, hallelujah,

Because a lot of folks that believe in Christ, they

just don't walk like Christ, they don't look like Christ,

and they don't talk like Christ. If you have had

an experience with God, let me tell you that the

dead man, that old man of you is dead, and

now you're walking in the new man created in righteousness

and in true holiness. So in Ephesian chapter four he

gets to the point. He says, then walk worthy of

the vocation and which you will call and the first

walk A life a lifestyle, the kingdom lifestyle of the

rich and famous, is that we live up to what

God has inherited in us.

Tell you, nab, but that's a different lifestyle. We live.

The things I used to do. Are y'all quit playing now?

Don't don't testify if you ain't, I don't want no line.

Church have been here now, don't be saying that with

me if you if you still smoking it joking, come

on now, come on now, I'm talking folks said have

had some real experience with God. There's a lot of

folks that hang around God and get a contact.

Hallelujah.

You come to church to get a contact, you feel good,

but it ain't nothing really in you for change and transformation.

I wish I had a neighbor in here, hallelujah. If

you had a real experience with God, everything about you

change and testimony. He pick you up, turns you around

and place your feet on solid ground. That means you

run in a whole different direction. Hallelujah. You ain't doing

the things you used to do. Ain't that right to me?

And you ain't going.

Is that right?

And you ain't acting okay, I'm checking you now, I'm checking.

I'm checking your post. You know you used to didn't

like people, you haley lujah.

So you got that.

You don't like being around to listen, you don't like folk, hallelujah.

You gotta love everybody. Eve.

I hear you, I hear it, even your enemy. I'm

I'm messing with you today. I'm messing with you real

good today, hallelujah, because something about to change and transform

in your life. You getting ready to have a deeper

walk with God in twenty twenty six. I ain't prophit

sign over you over money and cause and how go

get a job, get a career, live the American dream.

But out of all of that, you need to be holy,

Oh God, I wish ah boy, y'all out.

God, hallelujah. What is it for you to gain? The

whole world?

Come on, you've been praying for husband, that man you can't.

He can't handle you, man boy, why he can't?

You ain't ready?

Hallelujah, hallelujah. You need something to look like God. So

we walked worthy and humility, and then secondly we dealt

with walking and righteousness and true holiness, and we use it.

Old song, Old Boy, came out of my spirit. Trade

in my life for you. I've traded y'all would play

that song right there. Helped me when I was going

through my dilemma. Helped me when I was out there

in the world. But when I was going through a dilemma,

that song helped me to trade in my old thoughts.

I was trying to come back. Have anybody had some

old thoughts trying to creep back on you?

Uh?

Yeah, you gotta call him down, bro Bright, calling the devil.

I thought it was my flesh. He does deal with

my flesh. Amen. Have you ever had some old mates

come up to you when you're just about to get

right and do right, and all of a sudden, them

folks that was gone long time ago show up at

the door. That's the devil. But I thank God that

we traded in the old life. Tell your neighbor, neighbor,

I've exchanged my old life for a new life. Is

a better life, and I'm glad about it. I ain't

heard no shouts. S here, I ain't hurt, no shouts.

I'm glad I ain't on my way to hell. Let

me say that one more time. If y'all don't think

of anything. I'm glad I was on my way to hell.

I said. I'm glad that I'm not on my way

to hell. Whoop you turn, baby, I'm going the other way.

I'm going to heaven. Hallelujahs any are they glad about

trading in your life for Christ? And the next week

series we'll talk about walking in love. We'll talk about

walking in the light, we'll talk about walking in wisdom,

and then we'll talk about walking in spiritual warfare as

we conclude this book. But today we're gonna talk about love.

Tell your name, We're gonna talk about love. Holly, do

you the loook of Ephesians, Chapter number five, verse number

one through verse number six, Be you, therefore followers of

God as their children you. That word as is used

at least three times, So that shows that there's some

sense of an imitation that we are to imitate. What

follows after that, So as their children or like their children,

he says, now in verse number two, and walk in

as Christ also had loved us and had given himself

of us and offering in a sacrifice to God for

a sweet smelling saber. He said, But check this out

before on occasion, in all uncleanliness or coveteousness, let it

not be once say there's no time named among you,

somebody shout ask becoming saints, neither filterness nor a foolish talking,

nor jesting, which are not convenient, but rather giving thanks

for this. You know that none of these folks, because

everybody ain't going to heaven. Can I say that again

that even in the church, you know everybody ain't going,

he said, For we know that no hormonger, no unclean person,

nor a covetous man, who else and a dollar too

had any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God.

So letting no man deceive me with vain words because

of these things coming the wrapped up God upon the

children of disobedience, so he says again in verse number two,

and walk in love as Christ also loved us and

had given himself for us an offering and the sacrifice

to God for a sweet smelling saber. In other words,

we gotta walk in love. My thought today is I'm

looking for a real love. Let me say that again.

What my ninety baby said? It like Mary J. Blige

kind of situation. Hallelujah. Somebody said I'm looking for real love. Yeah,

I'm looking for somebody that can search my heart find me,

she says. She said, I'm looking for a real love.

I need somebody to search me and set my heart free.

I may you know that some of us are captive

to some toxic kind of love, toxic kind of relationship,

toxic kind of partnership or connection. But God said, listen,

I'm getting ready to give you a new heart so

that you can love with a real love. I may

one of love with that real love. Hallelujah. I'm looking

for a real love. So, Father, God, we thank you today.

We thank you for our life of health and stress,

and thank you for the praise and the worship. Thank

you for your presence being prevalent in this place. We

thank you for the words God that you have given

us to share with your people. And then we thank

you for the sweet communion of the Holy Ghost that

makes the change. So God, I'm just a messenger of us.

It's the Holy Spirit that is the message. And I

pray even now, by the power the Holy Spirit, that

you convict, convince, and persuade those to come closer to you.

In Jesus' name, you pray. Amen.

I five of these seven people to tell them I'm

looking for a real love. Come on, seven people, Come on,

seven people. Y'all help me preach now, y'all help me,

y'all help me get excited. Y'all help me now, help me,

help me, help me. Let me see that fan right there,

say I'm looking. I'm looking for a real love. Hallelujah.

Come on, y'all, touch everybody, Touch everybody that you possibly

can touch. Iselujah. Amen, I'm looking for a love, real love.

It is important that we understand as we look at

the text today, and I do want to thank God

for all of you that make up the household of Fate.

Thank God for all of the ministers, the elders, our

co Pastor Paster Johnson, Eld Johnson in his absence on today,

and thank God for our First Lady, all of the deacons,

and all of the saints that make up the household

of faith. We do give God praise and glory. But

when I thought about this particular subject on the day.

I guess I'm having some flashbacks of the nineties, and so,

you know, I'm kind of like nineties baby. You know,

I like the nineties music. I think it's better than

the seventies. I think it's better than the eighties. I

do you know polka dot shirts, Paisley, You know we

had the gummy cuts.

I mean, I'm like nineties baby, you know.

And so here lately, these last two Sundays, I'm using

these artists that I admired in the world, and I

do admire the words of their songs when I can.

Relate those songs to my relationship with God.

So as we think about mayby J Blige and her

nineteen ninety two debute her album Looking for Real Love

or Real Love, she said I need a real love

she is she said, I'm searching for or real love?

Did she say that? She said I.

Need something that set my heart free another word that

meant be some other kind of love that have caused

her to be captive, bound and non set free.

Amen.

It is interesting to me, then, as I looked at

and discovered here and search real love, that there must

be a possibility that if there's a real love, there

also must be a fake love. Oh okay, can I

talk to y'all today?

I mean, if she says I'm searching.

For a real love, then there is the possibility that

there may be a vein or a fake kind of love.

Not only in the world, there's also some fake love

in churches. Uh huh. In my assessment of the word real,

I concluded that the word real is something that is genuine.

Would you agree? Genuine?

And the synonym for genuine is something that is authentic.

Is that right? It's authentic? It is, it is real.

In other words, it.

It only comes from uh, the manufacturer. That's some other

people making products. But the products is not real. They're fake.

They look like the real, but they're not the original

make from the maker. Somebody asked me on yesterday I

had on the prayer of Jordan's and uh, I had

those Jordans owned. And I don't know how people you know,

want to get in your business, because, yeah, add me

with them Jordan's real. I said, well, I paid a

good penny for him. He said, well, people pray good

pennies for fake Jordan's too. I say, whatever they are,

they on my feet, I'm gonna make them real hallelujah.

Sometimes listen, that's the possibility that you may have some

fake stuff going on in your life and you just

make it real. But if it's gonna be real, it

has to be genuine. It has to be authentic.

Man. It has to be facts.

It have to be something that exists, something that's currying

right now, like real time. Right now, we're having real

time church. This is real church that looking on Facebook.

This is real time. You ain't got to go back

and look at it because this is the original cut.

Oh I wish I had somebody hallelujah, hallelujah. Yeah.

Yeah.

So real as a fact, it's not something that we imagine.

It's not about our imagination because we can imagine some

things that's set up in our hearts. When we talk

about something real, if it's real, then it has to

be something that we can touch. Oh come on, somebody,

let me get it, Let me get it close to you.

It's not just in your mind. Some of us can

be delusional and we can think of something that is real,

but it's not a reality. Okay, hallelujah, Uh huh yeah, yeah,

it's something if it's real.

A breath chritzy it has to be something that.

You can touch, It has to be something you can taste,

It has to be something that you can see, smell,

or feel. But the truth of the matter is that

it's not an ideal, it's not a hope, it's not

anything that is fake. Tell your neighbor is real, it's genuine.

Tell them it's authentic. It's authentic. You can't pay for it,

not for love. You can pray for a whole bunch

of stuff. You can pay for relationships. You can pray

for a prayer, pardon if you want to. You can

pay for a church. You can that folks in the

world today, that's paying people to come to church. When

God want their heart, You paying for them. They coming

because they want your money. Oh come on now, somebody,

Oh my God. Or when it come down to the

fact that if it's if something can be real, then

on the other hand, then there has to be a

fake love.

That exerts or exerts that something is not genuine.

And if it's not genuine, can I talk to you

for a moment, then it's counterfeit. Some of us are

dealing with counterfeit love. We have declared that it's real

because we got them on our feet, but they did

they did it really come from the originator of what

love is.

We can fit.

We get certain things that look real, but we shop

at black markets.

Yeah we look uh you know.

In other words, when we get something that's counterfeit, it

looks the part, but it doesn't have the same quality.

Let me say that again.

I say it looks the part, but it does not

have the same quality.

M hm.

So when I pick up a prairl Jeordan, I gotta

see how much they wait because I've done been to

the bazaar s Shir and I picked up the Jordans.

And when I compare the counterfeit, oh God, y'all ain't

talking to me to the genuine pair. The weight is

not the same. I got a proud Jordan right now

I've been having for twelve years. They ain't got a

terror in the soul. That's because that genuine. But as

soon as you get some fake shoes of fake Jordan's,

guess what they gonna tear up like pro wings. Y'all

understand that we got that been Levenie, you gotta be

in Levine's, but that you gotta know what Levieni's is.

Come on. You gotta know what the three for twenty years.

Come on, somebody, I have melp pro Wen and you

know pro we ain't make your feast stink. The inside

of the shooting it isn't do right, you know, And

I mean the quality is that. I mean, listen, they

got some shoes that looked like Jay. But man, listen,

on the inside of it, it ain't running right. The

souls ain't staying together. Come on, somebody, hallylujah. It's counterfit.

You got it, black market? You know you got it

black market.

Come on. I've been high sight with my wife the

last couple of days.

Now the men around these these bracelet necklaces with these this, this,

these diamonds. I mean, like everywhere. You know, it's like

the fat now right, all of this. Look at the

football player they all dimn niggas. Some one too.

I said that ain't real.

She said, yeah it is. She said they got money.

I say, rappers got money too, And it's fake.

Thank you.

Listen. It can look real. But if you test it,

come on, somebody. And the way you test gold is

you take a magnet to it and if the magnet

causes that chain to link to the magnet. Then it's

not real gold. Oh yeah, I ain't heard, but I

said in other words, it's a metal and it's not gold,

it's iron or something. Hallelujah. Again, this counterfeit another word.

Some of the fake is fake, is not real. It

is forged. Not only is it forged, but the truth

of the matter is is that some of us have

committed forgery about love. What do you mean by forgery

is that you endorse yourself to something that you ain't

supposed to put your name on. Oh God, they don't

want to talk to me in here, hallelujah. You probably

don't need to be in that relationship because you ain't married,

but you're forging the marriage certificate. You may not need

to be in that place. Come on, y'all, don't know.

I know, I know. I'm just in the text. It's

gonna get to the text real good. Hallelujah. Listen, some

of us have committed forgery by endorsing our names the

things that we should not be attached to. And the

reason we're going through what we're going through because there's

a lawsuit against you for committing the act of forgery.

You might not ever go to the courts, but life

would never treat you the same as long as you've

committed forgery and you're living on a hot check. Oh God,

I wish I had somebody to talk to me. Hallelujah.

You may got it, but you don't feel comfortable with it. Hallelujah.

You might have the spouse, you might have the man,

you may have the relationship, you may have the job.

But guess what, you ain't comfortable with it. Why because

you forged your name. Hallelujah. Now, some things that you

thought God gave to you, really God didn't give them

to you. Forged you and you would and got him.

That's why you got two or three. Oh card, they

don't want to talk to me today. That's why you

got two or three job trying to keep up, come

on with the joneses and you know you can't afford it,

but you want to look good and you're broke.

Oh, y'all don't want to say hallelujah today. Hallelujah.

Oh God, let me talk to some folks from the street.

Y'all look like church folks. Church. Oh don't like God, No,

because y'all have like you ain't never done nothing like that.

I know you gonna have floating some checks. Hallelujah. I'm

just gonna float this one. Hallelujah. Pay the thirty three

dollars charge. Yes, I mean you donna pay come ocause

what you do that ain't right, y gotta pay for it,

and it's gonna keep you in debt because you afford

something that you should not have ever endorsed your name on.

Hallelujah.

Tell your neighbors, say, neighbor, don't endorse your name on

something that don't belong to you. Don't come it after

something that doesn't.

Belong to you.

Even though they got it, you don't know what it

took for them to get it. Whatever you need to

get it, make sure that you get it done and

you get it right. Hallelujah. Tell your neighbors and neighbor,

please don't forard your name. You trying to make the

relationship work. It ain't gonna work. It ain't worked for

the last thirty years. Come on, somebody, you forging the relationship. Hallelujah.

You forging for people to like you. They ain't gonna

nothing like you. You can't buy no friends. I dare

not to buy a friend. Baby, everybody can hate me

if they want too, Why because I like myself? I

ain't for Oh Gord, hallelujah, I ain't doing that. I

ain't buying no friends, no relationship, no partners. I ain't

doing no sellout. I ain't selling out for you. I

ain't gonna catch up, but for you to like me

You know churchfolk. Church folk talk a lot. You think

the world talk about you go to church. They got

clicks and cluks and ducks. Am I telling the truth?

Right after I get through preaching for good sce you

see our pasts will looking at such and such and

such as. I ain't worry, man, I'm preaching the gospel.

What you talk about looking at such and such as

such as?

Something? Come on? You fake and you act.

Like you love you say you love me, but you

talk about me behind my pack. If you love me,

you wanna come tell me to my face with your

scared recept.

You scared?

Uh you got something saying? Maybe they got said that

my wife won't eat no mediator. The only thing between

me and God is Jesus. Okay, Oh y'all, don't got

y'alldn't get that. Hallelujah, Glory to God. Even in church,

we got folks that smile in your face. I don't

I'm gonna take you. I mean right here in the church.

Come on, somebody, hallelujah. I'm talking about right here in

the church, right here, right now, hallelujah. Yeah, why you can't?

You can't counsel a married woman when you single. How

you gonna be trying to counsel a marriage? Have you

ever been married? And if you've been married, how many

time you been divorced? What kind of counseling you trying

to give somebody when you know you ain't went the

school and got no PhD or nothing. Come on, somebody, hallelujah.

You gotta just keep your mouth shut and see how

it work out. You ain't got no influence on it.

Shut your mouth and let it go on. Oh you,

I ain't got that many clap up today. Don't worry abody.

they smile in your faith. I don't know why not

trying to take me? Since you got backstabbers in the church.

Some of us are backslaughters because we don't know no better.

You ain't been talk yet.

You know, you've been a back stable all your life.

It ain't just started.

You think that people in prison are bumping their head

on the wall. They just started doing that. They were

doing that, but they was three.

That old nature.

That old man is still doing what the old man

was doing because it han't identified that you a new

creature in Christ.

Oh, I wish I had a neighbor here. Hallelujah.

Tell your neighbors and neighbor quit it, man, quit it,

quit it, hallelujah. Yeah, tell him you you got a

new man on you now, tell him put on the

new man and shame for the old.

Yeah.

He said, Now I like this because they said it's

in the book, and I feed and they say, now

I want you.

You got the new man. Put on the new man. Watchit.

That's created. Watch this after God. The new man does

not look like your old man. You are a new creation.

You are made new. Old things have passed away, and behold,

all things have become new. Hey, man, tell your neighbor,

I'm brand new. Somebody just snipping and say, that's mall new, right,

now come on, come on this new it's new, because

that's some new things about to happen in your life.

Twenty twenty six.

Hallelujah, some new things about to happen in your life

right now. Hallelujah, Glory the card. You ain't gonna hold

on to them old behaviors because you are a new man.

Tell your neighbor, I can't hold on to that. I

gotta pull out off. Oh my God, we put a

new man that's created that to God, watch this. I

like this in righteousness. And then he says, in true holiness.

Why you just didn't say holiness? Why say true holiness?

Because that's some folks as in church that act holy,

but they're not.

Can I get a witness?

You sing like you holy, you walk like your holy,

but behind closed doors? Come on, somebody, you're not holy? Hallelujah.

You're nice publicly, but what does your life look privately? Ah,

Come on somebody, hallelujah, because your private life actually should

reflect your public life rather than your public life. High

siding about what you look like and going in because

your faith out here and then you reel in there?

Real what real boog a wolf?

H a real brawler, a real fighter. Can I talk

to you today? Hallelujah? In other words, he said, listen,

it's time for us to put on the new man.

And sometimes we have a difficult time having good relationship

with the father because we've had toxic relationships. If you

had a good relationship with your mom and dad, you

know what the father is like as far as being

a good father, a good mother. If you had wonderful siblings,

you know how he is to be a good brother.

You know, if you had good relationships her spouse relationship,

you know what it's like to be a good husband

or a good wife. But some of us haven't had

the luxury. Can I say that we haven't had the

luxury have good, healthy relationships. In other words, we grew

up in toxic communications. And that's why the world of

Pastor Jade loved toxic songs. You know, I got you

your man and I send him back home. But of

God what I needed to get. I'm cool with that,

you my side piece. Come on, somebody tell your naghbor

that's toxic man. Uhuh, that's toxic.

That was one. I know. I haven't heard him, but

I did the research, and don't get to day.

Britney Spears wrote a song called Toxic and Tried Perfectly.

What it says is that love is like a drug.

Even though it's damaging you, you can't stop doing it.

That's some forging that's going on in the church.

Come on, somebody, you know you want to stop because

when you thought to do good even as always present,

which I got to move out the hallelujah, and yet

you still in.

That same relationship.

Another person, Amy wine House, said, back to Back Back

to Back says deeply emotional song delivertyes for themes of addiction, betrayal,

and emotional numbness. Falls back into the old habits and

despair after the end of a toxic love affair. You

know he wasn't right. You can't make him rite either.

Have you all been a relationship? You try to fix

them to be how you want them to be. Tell

your neighbors, say, neighbor, that's a toxic relationship. Another one

was take a Bow by another lady. And so in

beside the idea that partners deceitfully behavior, what's all just

an act? And so she says, take a bow, it's

a bold declaration of self respect, making a strong anthem

for anyone breaking free from a toxic relationship.

Well, why did I bring that up today?

Because when we're dealing with this particular church and these

particular people in this text, we're dealing with the gentiles

who have lived in the culture of toxic relationships, and

so it becomes that when you are relationship in toxic

relationships to have a good, healthy relationship with God, some

of us are challenged because we're trying to figure out

why is it that I really can't love God like

I really want to. Why I can't praise God like

I really want to. Why I can't be devoted to

God like I really want to. I really want to,

but I just can't do it. The reason being that

some of us have been in toxic relationships that relate

to our relationship with God. That's hindering us from having

a closer walk with God. And God told me to

tell you today that he's about to break you loose. Hallelujah.

He's about your free your heart so that you can

love Him with everything you got in your mind, your soul,

as well as your spirit. I need somebody to hear

the shout I love God, man, I love God. Hallelujah.

Your neighbors and neighbor you don't love God? What's wrong

with you?

God? Th lujah?

Have you been in a toxic relationship, in the toss

of relationship, going into a toss of relationship that's causing

you not to get close to God? Come on, somebody, hallelujah. Now,

God loves you, but he hates the seing that we do. Hallelujah.

And so he'll lay down his life just to get you.

But he don't like the seeing that's in you. And

sometimes when you cheating on God, you can't have a

closer relationship with God because he don't share you with

nobody else. Oh, I wish I had somebody. I'm trying

to just come it down just a little bit. In

other words, you can't catch God and you and somebody

else in the same bed. I'll put it that way. Hallelujah.

Can y'all say it like that? Hallelujah? God, you can't

love God and love somebody else. Come on, somebody. You

got to put God first. I said, you gotta put

God first. And God don't leave no confusion about how

you ought to love him. He said, you ought to

love me with all of your heart, all of your mind,

all of your shit, all of your power.

In other words, all of you. Hallelujah.

He's not looking for a corner, he's not looking for

a side piece. He's not looking for somebody that needs

a sugarnad. And he needs somebody that don't gonna love

him for his sacrifice for you. Come on, somebody, hallelujah,

because most of us come to church because we looking

for a blessing for God.

But concept I just want you to love him me

for who I am.

And if I don't do enough, I wish I had

a few folk up in here. Gord. If you don't

do another finger in my life, hallelujah, you have turn

enough and.

I'm gonna praise you for who you are.

Oh you are to give God praise right there. Hallelujah.

I'm gonna praise you for who you are. Hallelujah. He

said to understand that what is real love a copy

love which is a selfless in other words, is a

love that gilds and not just take. It seeks after

the well being of others. It's not vain, but it

deals with this acronym of joy. Somebody shall joy. What

is real love. Real love is the love Jesus first, hallelujah,

and make him the center of your life. And then

cycle into love others, hallelujah. And then lastly to love yourself. So,

when we were talking about this particular church living in

the toxic relationship, Paul has to come back and teach

them what real love is. And so he says now

that in his first statement, writing this down, real love

imitate the love of God. Write that down, real love

imitates the love of God. As we looking at the

scripture Ephesian fave and one say, be you there for

followers of God as dear children. When you talking about followers,

that mean that you want to imitate your daddy. In

other words, you have by house some characteristics and some

attributes that look just like your far. You ought to

have his characterisms, in his traits of love, of giving

them sacrifice of all the things that he carries, the

show that he heals God. In other words, that talks

about now back that you are to follow him as

their children. In other words, as if you are somebody

who is dearly loved, And he says, because you are
