-
straight into the word. I'll be coming from Romans twelve,
-
Hallelujah Versus one and two. Thank you, Lord, Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
-
Glory to God, Glory to God. I am a student,
-
and I'm telling you I have been blessed to be
-
a student. Yes, I'm loving this.
-
I'm telling you.
-
I for sure, I'm not complaining, and I'm learning.
-
And U doroing my homework.
-
On last night, I've been heaving thank God for the
-
ministers who have been helping this past now. And I
-
was preparing my own homework to turn in, and I said, well,
-
I could go with my scripture.
-
And then I was telling them, I.
-
Say, but I don't think I'm gonna do that when
-
I'm gonna think I'm gonna stick with what the Lord
-
had already given me. But I was trying to do
-
that homework with this homework, and we're working on sermon
-
preparations right now.
-
You guys.
-
And I'm telling you my professor over here about the
-
best professor I'd ever had.
-
But I said, y'all, he went.
-
To trying to explain to me I could get three
-
sermons out of mind, and I'm trying to get one sermon.
-
Out of this. I said, boy, he tough there.
-
And so one of my classmates wanted to have us
-
sit down with him again, and not just now, y'all,
-
don't and have u sit down with him by y'allself.
-
I'm just gonna look at my message for tomorrow. Yeah,
-
I'll let y'all do that by yourself.
-
There.
-
Yeah, that's it.
-
That's she's gonna have to sit down with the professor
-
by herself.
-
Right now. We're gonna we're gonna stand up with him
-
and read this, uh, this passage right here.
-
So we'll again be coming from Romans twelve versus one
-
and two. And this is our good old friend Paul here.
-
And Paul says, I beseech you, therefore, m hm brethren,
-
by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies
-
a living sacrifice holy inacceptable unto God, which is your
-
reasonable service, and be not conformed to this world.
-
But be ye transformed by the.
-
Renewing of your minds, that ye may prove what is
-
that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. May
-
God at a blessing to the reading, hearing and understanding
-
of His word, and you may be seated in the
-
presence of the Holy Spirit.
-
A man, Holly, Loujah, Jesus.
-
God is good, and he is good all the time,
-
and all the time, God is good. So I am
-
gonna work this the best that God has given me
-
to do, with the power of His Holy Spirit.
-
Invested in me A man. Amen. So the theme.
-
Of my message is call to be living sacrifices.
-
And the Lord had dealt.
-
With me on this when we was getting ready to
-
do our fast, because sometimes, and I won't say sometimes,
-
I say quite a bit of the times.
-
I've been doing this.
-
Fast for some years. Every January we get into the
-
Daniel Fast, and I think this has been I don't
-
know how long it's been going on, but I know
-
quite a bit of churches do it all over the world.
-
Come January they do the Daniel Fast. And it was
-
just brought to my attention, how often do we do
-
the fast and then after the fast we go back
-
to the same thing, and this should be a sacrificial fast,
-
and I don't know if fast it's taking place where
-
there shouldn't be a change afterwards, not just with the
-
Daniels fast, but any fast.
-
Why are we fasting?
-
We should never do anything without expecting a change, even
-
when we continue to do something over and over again.
-
And nothing changes.
-
But we continue to do the same thing over and
-
over again for a change and nothing changes, It's called insanity.
-
Why are we doing it if we're not expecting the change.
-
I went through this cycle of trying to lose weight
-
for a long time, and I would go on different diets,
-
different rituals of.
-
I'm not going to eat this.
-
I think I've did the keyto and I've did some
-
other different things. I've even worked that out real, real
-
hard and lost the weight and then gained it back,
-
and then I would do the same thing again and
-
then gain it back. And so it's kind of like
-
a repetitious thing of doing something to get the change,
-
but then you don't keep up with the change. And
-
so in talking with the Lord, I come to Romans
-
twelve because Powell is.
-
Getting to the.
-
Church here in verse twelve, but they've already been through
-
chapter one and eleven, and so they've gotten to But
-
this therefore tells us that something happened before here, and
-
it was the whole chapter one through eleven.
-
So Paul is explaining that God has done.
-
All of this grace and these gifts of salvation. He
-
has given them all of this, all of these mercies,
-
all of this stuff has come with this a whole
-
eleven chapters.
-
And now there's something that you have to do.
-
And so after this fast, after not just my fast,
-
but somebody else is fast, after something that we've been through,
-
after something maybe somebody else has been working on. God
-
wants us to take into account whatever it is that
-
we have been through. After this new year we just
-
went through twenty twenty five, we just crossed over. Even
-
when I was studying the word therefore, it said therefore
-
it could be used.
-
As a shift.
-
So after we've shifted, something should be done different. A
-
shift means there's a change, and once there's a change,
-
we should not go back. Something has to change. So
-
now that we've shifted from twenty twenty five to twenty
-
twenty six, after we shift from this Daniel fast, if
-
you've shifted from one position to another position. If something
-
has been going on and you said, okay, Lord, I'm
-
not gonna do this anymore.
-
I'm finished.
-
Shift, there has to be a change, something has to
-
be different. Paul is going to help us on today.
-
We've been called to be living sacrifices a man, and
-
anything that we do we need the help of God.
-
So we're Christians.
-
So I'm talking to saints of God on today a man.
-
And if you're not a saint of God. Once we
-
get finished, just jump a home the train.
-
Amen. Amen. Okay.
-
So from Romans chapter one to eleven, Paul explains that
-
God has done for us, and what He's done for
-
us and our seeing God's grace Christ is sacrifice.
-
We have the gift of salvation.
-
By the time we reached chapter twelve again Paul has
-
shifts us like he has shifted us from again. Everything
-
that we have been through in our lives there has
-
taken a shift. Anything that you've tried to change from.
-
Let that be your shift on this from this day forward,
-
even yesterday, God has just blessed us to cross over
-
from Saturday to Sunday. That's a shift because we're here.
-
Some people didn't get the shift that's called grace and mercy. Yeah,
-
we were blessed to see another day. So it might
-
have been some stuff on yesterday. That's part of my
-
prayer in the morning. I was blessed to see this day.
-
It's some stuff on yesterday that I may have did
-
that I can't go back and change. Thank you Lord,
-
that I mean, this day helped me to do better
-
on today.
-
Can't none of.
-
Us go back and fix what we messed up on yesterday? Yeah,
-
we can't go back and change nothing in it. So
-
let's do better on today. That's a shift. So all
-
of that therefore has changed it. Therefore yesterday is gone.
-
So because of all of that today, we're going to
-
be motivated on today.
-
Because what Paul says is.
-
I beseech you, beseech you, is he's bringing forth mercies
-
of God. Paul doesn't command them, but he beseeches them,
-
meaning that he's appealing to them. He's not fussing, he's
-
not fighting, he's not hollering, he's not screaming. Paul believes
-
that on the basis of God's mercies, everything that we
-
do for God comes from what God has already done
-
for us. So God has blessed us to get into
-
this day. So everything do we do from this day forward,
-
let's do because God has already blessed us to get
-
into this day. So with that being said, everything that
-
God has already done, let.
-
Us take into account.
-
Because we are Christians and we are not living in
-
fear of God, not the type of fear that somebody
-
else might have that this is this evil God that
-
he is against us. We live in fear of God
-
by reverence and God, by respecting who God is, what God.
-
Has done, and what.
-
God continuously does for us. So we're we don't feel
-
like we're obligated.
-
To do anything. What we do we.
-
Do out of gratitude, out of love, gratitude and respect
-
for what God has already done for us. So when
-
Power talks about given, when Paul talks about us having
-
mercies for of God, the mercies of God, that we
-
present our bodies to God as a living fact sacrifice,
-
he's saying, do that because of what God has already
-
done for us. And when he talks about us being
-
living sacrifices unto God, then that means given ourselves unto God.
-
That's what we've been called to do. And if we
-
recognize that God has done so much for us, and
-
we give ourselves back unto God, then we expect that
-
God's gonna take care of us. It's not as if
-
we're giving ourselves unto God and God's gonna misuse us.
-
So God's gonna mistreat us, or God's gonna lead us
-
in a way that's gonna be detrimental to us. But no,
-
we know if we're in God's hands, that God is
-
gonna take care of us. Even as deeds started out
-
with the thanksgiving unto God, why.
-
Not thank him?
-
Everything that we have is because of God that we breathe,
-
the roofs over our head, the clothes on our back,
-
the shoes on our feet. I was in here praying
-
this morning, and that's how I started my prayer. Nobody
-
was in here with me, so deed, you don't even
-
know that. And as I was walking around praying, I
-
was thinking, well, I keep thanking God for my house,
-
my clothes, my shoes. What about the person that don't
-
have no clothes? What about the person that don't have
-
no shoes? What about the person that don't have no
-
roof over their head? But even as I was saying
-
that that's love. But you know what the Lord told me,
-
there's somebody that might not have no shoes, he said,
-
But what about the person that don't have no feet
-
to even put in shoes, but they still thinking me.
-
It's somebody that ain't even thinking me, he say. But
-
it's somebody that don't even have a foot to put
-
in a pair of shoes, but they still lifting their
-
hands up and saying thank you. So it's okay to
-
thank me for the roof that you got over your head,
-
he say. But it's somebody that don't even have a
-
roof and they thanking me for their roof. So don't
-
ever feel guilty because you have and somebody else, don't,
-
he say, Because it's somebody out the don't and they
-
still thinking me. See, we might not think that, but
-
it's people in countries that don't even have tents and
-
they still thinking in praising God. It's people that live
-
in fourth world countries and they yet still praising God
-
for what God has done, and they don't have half
-
of what we have. We feel like we have to
-
have something material to praise God. And it's some people
-
that just blessed because they got life, because they got
-
error because they can see the sky. And so the
-
Lord wanted me to know on this morning, you ain't
-
the only one praising me.
-
You ain't the only one saying thank you.
-
It's somebody that don't even have all they body parts
-
and they yet saying thank you. That's why he say,
-
if you don't praise me the rocks or cry out
-
when the wind blow, it's praising me. So it's good
-
that we say thank you.
-
Hallelujah.
-
But we can't ever think that we're the only people
-
that's blessing and praising and thanking God hallelujah.
-
We were created to praise.
-
God, but we weren't the only things or people created
-
to praise God. That's somebody that's just grateful to be
-
here that will praise God. So again, we don't do
-
it because we're obligated. And Power wanted the people of
-
God to know that it don't be a living sacrifice
-
because you're obligated to be a living sacrifice because of
-
what God has already done for you, hallelujah.
-
And what God.
-
Did for them, He didn't just do it for them,
-
because God is not a respective person. God did it
-
for us, all amen, And so he had already salvation
-
is even made to all God that already his grace
-
had already been extended for Aur. So it wasn't just
-
literally given to a certain amount of people. And then
-
I thought about, well, Lord, how many of us has
-
God delivered from something, from one thing or another. I
-
was delivered from alcohol, from fornication. I ain't never did drugs,
-
but how many been delivered from drugs?
-
I don't even know how hard it is to get out.
-
For drugs, but I done seen some people that's still
-
on drugs walking around outside of they mind, outside of
-
they self. And then when I look at somebody who
-
used to do drugs but don't do drugs, no.
-
More nobody but God. Yeah.
-
So I'm just saying not because you obligated, but because
-
of what He done for you. Because if you got off,
-
I know it wasn't nobody but the help of God.
-
I don't care what twelve steps say. It took some
-
God to help out with that. You go to twelve
-
step classes that you want to. I don't seen people
-
go in rehabs and come out of rehab and still
-
do the same thing.
-
Yeah, So that ain't nobody but God. So Paul say,
-
not because.
-
Of just you feel like you obligated, you got this
-
special type.
-
Of fear for God. But because of what.
-
God has done for you, we recognize what God has
-
done for.
-
Us, hallelujah.
-
So because we see what God has done for us,
-
then we recognize that we can't help but be a
-
living sacrifice to him, hallelujah.
-
Whatever he brought us out of us.
-
I mean, if it wasn't nothing, but he was your
-
doctor in the hospital room. I have just seen people
-
get saved because the doctor told them that they were
-
gonna die. They didn't have no more time, They was
-
on their last leg. But God raised them up out
-
their death bed.
-
Hallelujah. This is it for you. It ain't no more.
-
And then they still here.
-
Now he might not have did that for everybody, but
-
the one that he done it for the wasn't saved,
-
showed himself God to them, and then when they come
-
up off their death bed, now they're serving him. Yeah,
-
his grace and his mercy. So Paul say, you can't
-
help but be a sacrifice because of His grace and
-
his mercy. So then we find ourselves being called to
-
a total commitment that she be a ye be present
-
your bodies a living sacrifice. Power cause us to present
-
ourselves to God. And this is to be deliberate and
-
as a personal act.
-
Deliberately.
-
You don't do it again because you're being forced to
-
do it.
-
You deliberately do it.
-
So that means I wake up in the morning deliberately
-
presenting myself to God.
-
Hallylujah, liked you. Just at five o'clock in the morning.
-
It three o'clock in the morning. I just get up
-
and I'm praising God. I just get up and here
-
I am Lord, have your way in me. Whatever it is,
-
we're gonna do it three and it deliberately, not having
-
to be forced. Not that I have to wait till
-
Sunday to get to church and somebody have to pump.
-
And prime me.
-
No Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, whatever day or the week.
-
It is. Here, I am Lord. I belong to you.
-
I don't belong to me. Do whatever it is you're
-
gonna do with me. It's it's a willingness. We say.
-
You hear a lot of people say. I won't say
-
we say because everybody don't say it. Do whatever your
-
will live is, Lord, have your will, have your way
-
in me, and then that's not it.
-
Because as soon as it's time for you to do something,
-
or as soon as the Lord asks you to do something,
-
then it's completely different. The Bible says, grieve not the
-
Holy Spirit. But as soon as he started waking you
-
up at three, you know, yeah, I don't know if
-
I want to get up right now, but that's about
-
the time he'll wake you up when you're good asleep
-
to see if you're gonna get up. I know, I
-
know for me many of times he'd have done it,
-
or not only that, waiting til you're doing something that
-
you want to do, and that's when he wants you
-
to pray.
-
That's when he wants you to read.
-
We was me and the minister well because they all
-
prayer warriors too, So we have like a little clique
-
if we don't want to call it a clique, but
-
we always talking the little.
-
Group, yeah, because it's sure ain't a clique, but we
-
we yeah, yeah take that now, but we always talking.
-
And we was saying something in reference to reading the Bible, y'all,
-
and I don't when I'm sleepy. Some one of them said,
-
read the Bible, and I said, no, I refuse to
-
read the Bible to go to sleep.
-
I will not do God like that.
-
Well, if you're sleepy, though, Pastor Jay, read the Bible,
-
it'll help you get to sleep, and I will not.
-
I will not. I say, I would rather play the game.
-
I was having trouble going to sleep, but the normally
-
little candy coursed game will put me to sleep.
-
First lady wasn't putting me to sleep.
-
And I said, I don't know what I'm gonna do,
-
and they was like, well, read the Bible. I just
-
can't do God like that. I'm not gonna read the Bible.
-
And I was sitting in there the other day, me
-
and baby Sonaia bless a little heart, because I was
-
sitting there trying to read the Bible and I was
-
going to sleep. It was daytime and I was all
-
trying to read it too, and poor little sonari y'all
-
come up like this.
-
And that baby was looking at me like what is
-
wrong with her?
-
And I said, Lord, I said, I wasn't gonna do it,
-
but I wasn't trying to go to sleep, and so
-
it was just, hey, we it's the times when when
-
we're trying to do our best. And again I said,
-
I wasn't gonna read it to go to sleep, and
-
I wasn't. So it's the again to make that sacrifice
-
to spend that time with the Lord.
-
And I was trying to do that.
-
And I just believe that the Lord been trying to
-
get me to spend more time with him and the Word,
-
but it just wasn't working then, So me and the
-
Lord gonna have to do that a different way.
-
We're gonna have to give me some headsets.
-
Or something like that, but we have to make that time,
-
that sacrifice to spend that time with the Lord.
-
And so what that means, if he wake you up
-
at three, get up at three. If you're nudging that
-
you at midnight, get up in midnight.
-
And that's probably why the minds has been so off waking,
-
because boy, he been keeping me up till like twelve
-
thirty one o'clock. And I guess look Minister over there
-
to me too, because she's been texting me at like
-
one o'clock in the morning.
-
So I guess he got the awe burning it on
-
all of us. You two, uh huh.
-
Look, I'm just snitching on all of us while I'm
-
up here. But I'm just saying, So, that's our sacrifice
-
to the Lord, and it should be deliberately.
-
It should not be.
-
Because the Lord is forcing us, and so as we
-
are those deliberate sacrifices, and it's a personal act. It's
-
not like we're in the Old Testament. It's not like
-
we're dead. Seeing the Old Testament, they had to kill
-
the animal and then lay the animal on the altar.
-
We're not the dead animals in the Old Testament. We're lively.
-
And so because we're lively, then we choose daily to surrender,
-
daily to surrender. Yeah, should nobody have to knock us
-
over and lay us down and put us on the altar.
-
That's what they had to do back then when it
-
was the animals. Yeah, we shouldn't have to be done
-
like that. That should never be a thought in our mind.
-
In order to be a sacrifice unto God, we should
-
daily have a mind to surrender ourselves unto the Lord. Here,
-
I am God doing me what you see fit, whatever
-
it is that you would have me to do. And
-
when we start doing that, then God is able to
-
use us even the more.
-
I know. One of the things that we've been talking about,
-
even with our classes and the books that we've been reading.
-
How can God use us if flesh is all in
-
the way. How many of us get up daily and say, Lord,
-
help me to crucify this flesh because flesh wants to
-
do what flesh wants to do. Flesh don't want to
-
have nothing to do with what God wants to do.
-
The Bible says, they're always at war with one another.
-
So that means anything that I want to do is
-
outside of what God wants to do. When it's the flesh,
-
because God can be saying, hey, I need you to
-
go over there, and maybe I need.
-
To pay for this woman's groceries.
-
And as soon as the Lord says pay for her groceries,
-
then flesh starts saying, you know you ain't got no money.
-
You know you struggling yourself. Why you gonna pay for
-
her groceries? You can barely pay for yours. In the
-
whole time that the Lord is telling you to bless
-
somebody else, because he's trying to see if you gonna
-
bless her so that he can open up a doorway
-
to bless you. Flesh trying to keep you from getting blessed.
-
So we have to even be careful with that. But
-
if you wake up in the morning and you done
-
already surrendered yourself unto God, and you done.
-
Told Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, you raise up in me.
-
Flesh, you sit down. I'm putting you under subjection on today.
-
You don't tell me what to do. I tell you
-
what to do. Then when you get to that grocery
-
store and the Spirit say, bless this woman, you pay
-
for her groceries, even if you ain't got enough money
-
to pay for your groceries.
-
When you get.
-
Through paying for hers, and then you pay what you
-
have for yours, you be the walked out that store,
-
and man.
-
Will pour into your bosom like the Word.
-
Said, because that's what he's said, give and it shall
-
be giving back onto you press down, shaking together and
-
running over. Shall men pour into your bosom. See, you
-
don't never know what's gonna happen. But we at a
-
time whether Lord is trying to shift, and we can't
-
shift if we hadn't been transformed, if we hadn't been
-
that living sacrifice. But we got this enemy just trying
-
to keep us from getting to where God is trying.
-
To get us to. So we didn't just shift into
-
a new year.
-
I believe we're shifting into God doing a new thing
-
in our life.
-
I believe that.
-
And so so power is coming to help us out today.
-
He wants us to know that we've been to sacrifice.
-
This is gonna be the year where we sacrifice. And
-
as we sacrifice, then God will be able to do
-
what he needs to do in us, or what he
-
wants to do in us. It's just gonna call us,
-
caw us to sacrifice, and in doing that, then he'll
-
be able to get to us what he needs to
-
get to us. Again, our bodies are to be presented
-
as whole.
-
And as we present our bodies as whole, our whole.
-
Selves, our actions, our thoughts, our conduct, everything about us,
-
give it all to him, give.
-
It, give everything to him.
-
First Corinthians six nineteen and twenty says that our bodies
-
are the temples of the Holy Spirit, bout and paid
-
for the price. They don't even belong to us, and
-
many of us don't even want to let go of them.
-
They're not yours, this is not mine, that's not yours.
-
He bought and paid for it.
-
You no longer belong to you, but we keep holding
-
on to us and as long as we hold on
-
to us and don't let us go, he can't do
-
anything with us because our God is not a force.
-
For God, he does not force himself upon anybody.
-
He's not gonna snatch you from you.
-
Remember, it's not like the old We're not in the
-
Old Testament anymore. He don't want to take you and
-
throw you up on the altar. He wants you to
-
present yourself to the altar.
-
Yeah, I'm that would just be I don't even have
-
a that's the thought is horrible, But who would want that?
-
It's so much better when you present yourself again, we're
-
reminded of what He has done for us. You should
-
want to present yourself to the altar. And so, because
-
we've been bought for and paid for with a price,
-
therefore we honor God back with his bodies with.
-
What he paid for. Yeah, we don't go to the
-
store and buy stuff and then yeah and take it
-
back to the store. It's mine.
-
I bought it, I paid for And how are you
-
gonna come back to me and take what I.
-
Am paid for? I wish the store we.
-
Would come back to my house and try to get
-
that funniture I pay for that that's mine.
-
I'm sitting on it.
-
Yeah, you can't come back and get something I paid for.
-
John fourteen and fifteen says that if you love the Lord,
-
then you will obeyon we'll keep his commands. Yeah, that's
-
our way of showing that we love him. Yeah, so
-
we keep his commands. And because we do that, then
-
that's that's our way of obedience and surrenderings. We also
-
have a nurture, and the nurture is true worship Dedrew
-
wholly inacceptable unto God, which is our reason service. True
-
worship is not just in song, in praise or in church.
-
It's also and how we live. Your life set apart
-
for God, and your lifestyle is.
-
A worship unto God. How are we living?
-
Is our life exemplifying true worship to God? The way
-
we walk, the way we talk. Again, I was talking
-
to one of the sisters on the day. I'm gonna
-
find me some.
-
More friends, y'all.
-
No offense against y'all, but I'm gonna find me some
-
more friends. I tell them all the time, I don't
-
have no friends, But the Lord keep telling me, if
-
you want friends.
-
Show yourself friendly.
-
I say, I have to get outside my house. Though
-
I work in the house on there sending it five
-
percent of the time. So I got to find some
-
friends that are older than two is what I have
-
to do.
-
But I was older than too.
-
Yeah, I run a daycare, so I don't have no
-
old friends. But I was telling were talking about the
-
how they were on Facebook going back and forth about
-
the preacher with the wife and the dress. And I say,
-
it sad that that's been the topic for the church.
-
I say, there's so much going on. You think that
-
the church would like get past that that was yesterday.
-
Yesterday's gone. Let's find something different to talk about. How
-
about saving some souls, opening up some orphanages, or or
-
something else. I mean, I'm just saying, let's let's find
-
something different. The dress was last week, and I say,
-
they keep fighting about the dress, and it's social media.
-
It's then even so past social media.
-
It's been on TV a.
-
Couple of the daytime talk shows about what this pastor's
-
wife wore. And I said in my scripture for my
-
study is First Corinthians, chapter one, and their Poul says
-
they're fighting about who was the best preacher and.
-
Who was the best leader.
-
And I say, in the churches today are fighting about
-
what dress she wore and what dress she shouldn't have worn.
-
She's a first lady and she shouldn't have did that.
-
And Paul say, that's too much division. And I say,
-
it's too much division in the world too, is what
-
I was telling one.
-
Of the sisters. I say, it's too much division.
-
Find something different to talk about. We got souls, people
-
that are dying and going to Hell. We got a
-
whole Islamic culture growing right here in the United States.
-
We got mosses going up all over the United States.
-
Texas has them. They're trying to bring the Sharia law in.
-
Can y'all not find something different to talk about. We
-
need to be praying and fast and until we can't
-
praying fast anymore, and y'all are worried about address that
-
the pastor's wife had, come on, let's do something different.
-
So when I thought about the nature of worship, I say,
-
right now, it looks like we're not worshiping quite well
-
because the saints have so much going on, not all
-
of us.
-
Thank God for the ones of us.
-
That are praying and that are walking upright and that
-
are list and holy. But when the eyes of the
-
world are looking at the church depending on what they see.
-
We don't look quite well, we look a little sick.
-
So we need to remember that our lifestyle is a
-
type of worship unto God, and our lifestyle reflects what
-
God looks like from the outside looking in. And I
-
say so, we need to remember that how we live,
-
not how we sing, not how we praise, but how
-
we live is also worship unto God. So it's important
-
what we do, how we do it, and the way
-
that we do it. And so with that worship, Paul
-
is saying that worship needs to be done unto God,
-
and it needs to be done in a particular way.
-
So be careful about how we worship. Again, when we worship,
-
we must worship.
-
In spirit and in truth.
-
And that's how God has called us to worship. If
-
that's acceptable, Worship unto God. Not just the singing and
-
the praising, because anybody can sing. There is a whole
-
bunch of secular people out there that are singing praise
-
and worship music. But yeah, we need to make sure
-
that we carry ourselves as Christians. We need to make
-
sure that we're representing our God and worshiping him in
-
a way to where God understands that the worship is
-
to Him, and that worship is a mercy and a surrenderance,
-
and that we're becoming that God can become sensible in
-
respond to our worship, because as God responds to our worship,
-
then that gives God an opportunity to continue to lay
-
forth mercy unto the saints of God.
-
Amen.
-
So we as saints of God, want to make sure
-
this house and all that hear me over Facebook, that
-
we walk upright and honorable unto God with our worship.
-
Hallelujah is not just a battle song. It's not about
-
lifting our hands up, but it's about making sure that
-
we live right. We don't get caught up and what
-
everybody else is doing if it's not worshiping and it's
-
not honoring God. Again, if you can pray for somebody,
-
you don't have to be a part of the talk.
-
We don't have to comment on everything that everybody does.
-
And so they took that one comment and they just
-
took it. I'm telling you all across it, it was
-
so much.
-
I couldn't believe it.
-
When it went to TV shows, talk shows, that's too much,
-
that's too much. We have better things to do for
-
the church. Again, Christ is soon to come. I said,
-
how much time was spent on praying for the lost?
-
How much? How much?
-
How many times do you see pastors on TV saying
-
this is what we should I mean on talk shows,
-
this is what we can do to bring in lost
-
souls instead of this is what we can do to
-
fix the.
-
First lady's dress. Come on, people, Yeah, the church needs
-
to do better.
-
I'm quit saying we because we wasn't in that thing. Yeah,
-
we was probably somewhere praying for some lost and feeding
-
some hungry.
-
So again, Power.
-
Also gives a warning against the worldly conforming, which was
-
a part of what that was as well.
-
It says, and be not conformed to this world.
-
Therefore a lot of pressure from the world for us
-
is fit in and for us to fit in and
-
go along and get along. And God has not called
-
us to go along to get along. God has not
-
called us to fit in. God has called us to
-
be different. God calls us a pecure, your people, We
-
are not supposed to be like the world, Paul says,
-
be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by
-
the renewing of your mind, so we might want to
-
wear some of the same clothes depending on what the
-
clothes are the world.
-
We don't need to be showing all of this.
-
You might want to do some of the same things
-
depending on what they doing.
-
Don't do it. You can't do everything.
-
I'm not saying that we're not here because we're in
-
this world. We're just not of the world. We don't
-
do the same thing that they do. We're supposed to
-
be a light into darkness. Again, like I said, God
-
calls us peculiar people. We just don't do everything that
-
the world does. If it's not of God, then we
-
don't do it. If it's not of truth, we don't
-
do it. We don't condone everything they do either. If
-
if we Romans once said that if we condone the sin,
-
then we we're just like it's just like we're of it,
-
so we don't. We just don't condone it. We don't
-
partake in it. And if you don't know what it
-
is the certain sins, then look them up. I can't
-
go through them all, but we know that we don't
-
condone fornication, we don't condone adultry, we don't condone homosexuality,
-
we don't condone we don't do it. We shouldn't be
-
doing it. If you're doing it, then you need to say, Lord,
-
forgive me, help me to change. I'm not gonna call
-
you and say, hey, you sinning, You're going to hell.
-
I'm not gonna because I remember when I first got saved,
-
there was some sin.
-
I was still doing it.
-
I didn't know I was even sinning, So I for
-
sure I'm not gonna beat you up behind it. I'm
-
gonna say, go to the Lord and you need to pray,
-
and you need to get it right now. Did I
-
stop it when I found out about it? Yeah, But
-
I'm saying I didn't know about it, so you might
-
be one of those that you don't know about it.
-
But if it comes to your attention and you find
-
out that you sinning, okay, hey, back up out of
-
that one. Lord, you need to help me with this one.
-
I need to get this right, and I need to
-
get it right. Standing with you if you were saint.
-
Because I was newly saved, I didn't know what fornication was.
-
I didn't know what adult was.
-
But when I found out what it was, me and
-
my husband had to stop doing different beds because it's
-
some kids in here, so he had to sleep one place.
-
I had to sleep another until we till I got
-
my divorce because I was still married.
-
I didn't know. Again, I didn't have that understanding.
-
And then when I got my divorce and we got married,
-
we made it right.
-
Before the Lord.
-
So I'm saying, maybe somebody don't know, so I'm here
-
to help you out.
-
That's a sin. I didn't know it was. And when
-
I found.
-
Out and we got it right, then we got that
-
right before the Lord. So if it's something that you're
-
doing and you don't know about it, yeah, God, that's
-
where you can say, God, no my heart. But all
-
of that, I'm still sinning and God on my heart,
-
Yeah he do. He know it ain't no good in it.
-
That's why he gives us new hearts. So if you're
-
using that as an excuse to sin, stop that, yeah,
-
because that's not God.
-
Don't accept that.
-
Jesus didn't die for our sin so that we could
-
continue in sin. Yeah, he died for our sin so
-
that we wouldn't have to sin anymore.
-
God is August. God will he forgive you for your sin?
-
Sure, But if you're purposely and continuously sending a sinning
-
and thinking.
-
That it's okay with God. It's not.
-
So we want to always make sure that we're lining
-
it up with God. That's why Paul says, don't be conformed.
-
To the world.
-
Don't literally line yourself up with what the world is
-
doing and think it's okay with God, because it's not.
-
He wants you to be transformed and renewed in your mind.
-
The only way to be transformed and renewed in your
-
mind is to get the Word in your mind. Know
-
what God wants you to do. It's the truth about
-
what God wants you to do. The Word is the
-
only thing that can change your mind to what.
-
God wants you to do.
-
The world can't tell you how God wants you to
-
live because the world don't know the Word.
-
The world knows what the world knows.
-
And that's another testimony. I knew as a drunk what
-
the Word said. I didn't know what the true word
-
was until I got saved, so we got You find
-
some people that know some scriptures, but do they know God.
-
There's a difference between knowing some scriptures and knowing God,
-
because God reveals the scriptures to you. If you don't
-
know God, you're just reading a book. And I know
-
that from being saved because I done read the book,
-
but I didn't have an understanding of the book.
-
God reveals himself to you through the Word.
-
So when we was talking the word under the tree
-
as drunkards, we were just we were just talking. And
-
I say that in all honesty and in our understanding.
-
Now we were just reading some scriptures or just really talking.
-
We did not have an understanding. But I know now
-
that God did not want me to live in a
-
life of sin.
-
And it be okay.
-
Because I was one of those people that used to
-
say the same thing. God know my heart, and I'm
-
so glad that he did really know my heart, because
-
he knew my heart enough to know that I did
-
not want to die and go to hell.
-
So some years later he saved me.
-
He bought me out of that darkness and into his
-
marvelous life.
-
He gave me the truth.
-
So in transformation, when our minds are renewed with God's
-
word and God's spirit, because you won't get his spirit
-
until your save with His spirit in our lives.
-
It changes us and it changes us.
-
From the inside out. God is not and to make
-
you beautiful He don't care how pretty your hurry is,
-
how beautiful your eyes are. God cares about your inside.
-
That's why he gives you a new heart. And as
-
you start to change on the inside, then your outward changes.
-
That's how we're able to look so beautiful on the
-
outside because He changes our inside. So regardless, I say
-
all the time, I've seen some of.
-
The most beautifulst people, especially.
-
Some beautiful women who could be so ugly because of
-
their attitude, the way that they talk and the way
-
that they act, But they are so so beautiful. But
-
they'll open their mouth, and once they open their mouth,
-
it changes my whole attitude about the way that they are,
-
just by the way that they talk. And I thank
-
God that God wants to change our inside first. And
-
that's why daily that's another part of my prayer. Lord
-
created me a clean heart, renewing me a right spirit.
-
I want to be like God. I wanna love like God,
-
I wanna talk like God. I want to walk like
-
God because God is such a loving and kind and
-
merciful person. See, I want to be so much like
-
God that when I meet people that I don't know,
-
and even when I meet people that I do know
-
that I treat them the way God treats me, because
-
I remember how ugly I was and how God treated
-
me even when I was an ugly person, when I
-
was an unlovable person, and how he loved on such
-
an unlovable person.
-
Because you know, we gonna meet.
-
Unlovable people, but God wants us to love on unlovable people.
-
He ain't gonna ever send us to somebody that got
-
it all together, because He want to send us to
-
people like we were before we got it together.
-
Amen. So that's how God wants us to be.
-
And so that's why God wants us to be transformed
-
and renewed.
-
If you remember power, before power became power, power with soul,
-
power was horror.
-
Saul was a horrible person. Saul was even a murderer.
-
He was killing Christians. And before Saul got to be
-
pau who would have wanted to meet Saul? And then
-
he cleaned him up inside out, cleaned him up inside out.
-
It's say Paul went on the back side of the desert.
-
For what three years? Was it thirteen? Took thirteen years
-
to clean him up?
-
Because it really didn't. He knocked him off his beast
-
and when he opened his eyes up. He was changed,
-
but he still was doing some work on him because
-
he's sent him back to the same people that he
-
was killing. So he had to go back to the
-
same people that he had been murdering for years. And
-
he started out witnessing and talking to some of them
-
same people before he went to the gentile. All them
-
folks were scared of this man. This man had been
-
rand than those people up like they was cows, putting
-
them in prison. So some of us need to go
-
to the backside for a moment too, and make sure
-
we get ourselves together so that we can go out
-
there and witness, so that we can go disciple, so
-
that we don't go out there and hurt nobody, because
-
like I said, it's a shift, and so we can't
-
keep faster and then going back the same way. We
-
can't keep praying and then going back the same way.
-
We need to make sure.
-
We right so that God can send us out there
-
and we bring back something so that God can use us,
-
so that we can bring back some not with our ugliness,
-
not with maybe we got an attitude today, not with
-
on You're not gonna get me to spend my money
-
on them.
-
Today, Like I said, maybe send the.
-
Grocery store wherever it is that she got an attitude,
-
so I'm gonna have attitude with her.
-
We can't have attitudes. We can't be getting mad. So
-
what she looking ugly, we can't look ugly back.
-
And I'm just being honest because the majority of the
-
time when we witness the people, they're not going to
-
be right. You might find somebody don't even want you
-
talking to them, or they might be going through and
-
we don't even know that they're going through.
-
It might just not be day.
-
Day because you meet people all the time and we
-
don't know what's going to happen in their life.
-
But God is calling us. The book is for us.
-
The book ain't for the world. The book is for us.
-
So once we.
-
Get transformed and renewed in our mind, then we'll know
-
what is the acceptable will of God. The results of
-
being renewed and having a renewed life is that we
-
may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect
-
will of God. A surrendered and transformed life gained spiritual clarity.
-
God's will becomes recognizable and trustworthy. God's will should be
-
our will, and through a renewed mind, we can discern
-
God's perfect plan for fulfillment, which is always good and
-
pleasing to him. Romans twelve one and two cause us
-
to respond to the mercies to surrender. Surrender leads to transformation.
-
Transformation leads to discernment and obedient living. With that being said,
-
is your living obedient? Are you living obedient and sacrificial?
-
And what do you need to do or what do
-
you need to.
-
Place on the altar today? Because again this is a
-
word for us the church, and the shift is it's
-
that as we shift into something new, something different, and
-
God does whatever it is that needs to be done
-
in us, because every last one of us will forever
-
be a work in progress. None of us ever have
-
it all together. Tyler, you can come give me some keys. Now,
-
I didn't even say clothing. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. But
-
as we're all the work in progress, none of us
-
will ever have it all together until.
-
We were God.
-
And I know again I always say I can always
-
tell on me because I know me. I spend more
-
time with me than I do anybody, Bless my heart.
-
I'm a work in progress, yes.
-
And.
-
Have not, and I'm okay with that, and I thank
-
God that I'm able to be transparent and I'm able
-
to be open because I believe that that not only
-
helps others, but it helps me.
-
M
