  1. Vision and mission moving church. I've been here this year.

  2. The church anniversary is this is the twenty seventh year.

  3. We've been here twenty years. So we came when they

  4. moved into this building and the church was moving and

  5. booming then, and I believe the church is moving and

  6. booming now. If it's one thing I know, we should

  7. never get caught up on the numbers on what we see,

  8. because God is not a god that moves according to

  9. what we see. Sometimes in our natural we miss out

  10. on what God is doing because we're looking natural instead

  11. of spiritual. So what I want to do to start

  12. this out is to give our mission statement. And if

  13. you don't know the mission statement, and you remember, we

  14. need to get to know the mission statement. I know.

  15. One of the things that I challenged the prayer warriors

  16. it was to memorize the mission statement. We need to

  17. know what the mission is for this house. It's hard

  18. to do a mission, follow a mission, be a part

  19. of a mission if you don't even know what the

  20. mission is. Now. I'm not a service individual, but I've

  21. heard some service people say how they walk according to

  22. what the service caused them to do. Even some of

  23. them when they come home they still have that mentality

  24. within them because it was implanet. It's built in them.

  25. This is who you are when you're a part of

  26. the army. This is who you are when you're a

  27. part of the Marines. This is who you are when

  28. you're a part of the navy. Well, this is who

  29. we are when we're a part of VIP. There are

  30. many churches, and prayerfuly. Each church has its own mission

  31. and vision. Somehow they should come together because they should

  32. line up with the great commission of Jesus that he left.

  33. According to Matthew twenty nine and nineteen, when he left,

  34. he said, now go out, go out to Judaea, Samaria,

  35. and to the outermost, baptizing in the name of the Father,

  36. the Son, and the Holy Ghost. This is how we

  37. bring them in. We don't just go out and snatch

  38. people off the street, talk crazy to them, and you

  39. come into church with me. And this is just what

  40. it is. It don't work like that. So it's called discipleship.

  41. So for our mission of victory and praise. And I'm

  42. reading it because He's altered it just a little bit

  43. to make it better. But our mission for the church

  44. is that we are evangelistic entrepreneur, enterprise co laborers together

  45. with the loving gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,

  46. to reach those of the loss, to equip those that

  47. are found, and then to send those that are chosen.

  48. So it takes the work and one person can't do it.

  49. So when the mission is given, the mission is given

  50. to the church, we can. I'd expect the leader to

  51. do the mission by himself. Our vision is to operate

  52. in the spirit of excellence to promote, and we have

  53. that on our shield behind me. We encourage, we inspire,

  54. and we empower not just outside the house, but inside

  55. the house a man. We encourage the people of God

  56. to prosper spiritually, economically, educationally, physically, emotionally, socially through effective

  57. modes of leadership and ministry. And I believe we stand

  58. in a house that has effective modes of leadership and ministry.

  59. May not be the capacity that it used to be,

  60. but God says, where two or more come together, He's

  61. in the mist, and I've counted more than two heads

  62. in you're on today. So that's why we don't want

  63. to look at numbers. Because God don't need a whole

  64. group ask get in. He had get in to cut

  65. him down so that who could get the glory God himself.

  66. And so I believe what he's doing in this hour

  67. is preparing us to get back in line with what

  68. He has called this house to do, so that he

  69. can get the glory out of it. So as we

  70. look at this context right here, the writer starts out again,

  71. this is literally a song you are. This is a

  72. song that they were giving God thanksgiving for who God was.

  73. And if you go back just a little bit in

  74. verse seven, the question was when the wicked springs as

  75. the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do

  76. flairrish because they gonna flourish. We see a whole bunch

  77. of people walking around looking a whole lot better than us.

  78. Some drug dealers, drug push us, some crooked congressman, some

  79. people who are are literally oppressing the poor so that

  80. they can get rich. And we sometimes look outside of

  81. what God is doing because we look at other things

  82. and we think that those things are better because they

  83. look better. That's why we can't always look with our eyes.

  84. And I think that's just the deception and the lie

  85. of the enemy to make us think that when you

  86. don't have a lot, then you don't have what God has.

  87. So it says that the workers of iniquity do flourish,

  88. it is that they shall be destroyed forever they're flourishing.

  89. They might look better than us right now, but if

  90. they're not with God, they will not spend eternity with it.

  91. What they're doing won't last. It might be for now,

  92. but what we have with God is eternal. And so

  93. as the song goes on, it gets to verse twelve,

  94. and it says the righteous shall flourish, though like the

  95. palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

  96. And so when you look at what the palm tree

  97. and the cedar of Lebanon resembles its strength, those trees

  98. don't move regardless of how hard the storm gets. We

  99. were and again we were in Fort Worth with overseers

  100. this weekend and me and Cheryl had the well, we

  101. didn't have to, but we did, thinking that the weather

  102. was gonna get bad. We woke up yesterday morning and

  103. I think kelbk one of them, putting an alert on

  104. my phone, and I said, it was the weirdest thing

  105. I'd ever heard. But the storms were coming and they

  106. were gonna be intense. They were gonna be so intense.

  107. It wanted us to watch out for lime size hell.

  108. I said, surel, I ain't never heard nobody say the

  109. hell was gonna be the size of a lime. What.

  110. It didn't even make no sense, And maybe that should

  111. have been our reason telling. I mean, because it made

  112. no sense. I don't hear a golf balls side hell

  113. baseball size, but lime size, I mean because the lime

  114. is shaped funny. It's what Oval shaped it. It didn't

  115. even make sense. But anyway, we wanted to make sure

  116. that we were careful that we didn't get caught up

  117. in the storm. The storm wasn't happening in Dallas and

  118. Fort Worth. The storm was happening from New Mexico to

  119. West Texas. So it was like extended all the way

  120. out to Abilene. And everybody kept saying, well, y'all know

  121. how bad it is when you're driving Abilene. So we

  122. was a little confused, and in all honesty, we got dressed,

  123. got undressed, We got dressed, and what Cheryl did, I

  124. wasn't moving, but she was getting dressed and undressed. And

  125. I said, well, Cheryl, what you think, Well, they doing

  126. the classes this morning, we can go and get us

  127. a little teaching in, so let's go get some teaching in.

  128. So she got dressed again. We get to the church

  129. and it wasn't hardly nobody there, so we said, okay,

  130. we'll go ahead and get on the highway before it

  131. gets dangerous. We wanted to make sure that we were

  132. mindful of our own self safety, and so we get

  133. up to get on the high way because we were

  134. worried about the storm. I mean, there was a talk

  135. of the winds blowing anywhere from thirty ten to thirty

  136. miles an hour, and because those cars are not like

  137. palm trees and cedars of Lebanon, we would have gonna

  138. we was gonna be in in in for some mess.

  139. And then just happened to show up. I'm looking on Facebook,

  140. and they showing that the storm the same with the

  141. same magnitude had hit in Louisiana, and so that storm

  142. it shit showed. The literally had people videotaping, and all

  143. these people were trying to get under this overpass to

  144. keep their cars from getting hit. You could see the

  145. large stones of hell. And I said, oh no, sure

  146. we got to go. I know, my big vehicle is big,

  147. but it ain't gonna hold up in this. But what

  148. God is telling us today is that we the righteous

  149. were flourished like a palm tree and like a cedar

  150. of Lebanon. When someone is flourishing, it means that somebody

  151. is throwt they're being prosperous, they're blooming, they're thriving spiritually, emotionally,

  152. and sometimes materially. So the same thing that the wicked

  153. man has we can have too. But God don't want

  154. us to get caught up in what we can have.

  155. God wants us to get caught up in who He

  156. has called us to be, and that is the righteousness

  157. of God. So in this song, they're being reminded that

  158. because they're righteous, they'll still flourish. The material things that

  159. come with that even still comes with us being flourished

  160. in God, with us holding stance in God. Matthew six

  161. and thirty three said that if we seek ye first

  162. the Kingdom of God and all this righteousness, then then

  163. all these other things will be added. And I say

  164. a lot of times people don't know what those other

  165. things are because they just get to that part of

  166. the scripture and they stay, they don't go back up.

  167. But when he's talking about feeding the birds and how

  168. he takes care of them. If you look how it happens,

  169. he uses us. So I think sometimes we're thinking, Okay, well,

  170. I'm not flourishing if I don't have a lot of money,

  171. if I ain't no money fail from heaven, didn't no

  172. checks come into mail. I don't have a five bedroom

  173. house with fou bass. I'm not driving the newest model car.

  174. The enemy has convinced us that flourishing means stuff. Right,

  175. God is telling us that flourishing is being rooted in him.

  176. It says that someone that is planted in God, once

  177. they get planted, it causes that individual to have a shift.

  178. And because we're talking about the gross starts here, the

  179. shift for us is going to be in the church.

  180. That we won't just be the ones that come in

  181. and sit down. We won't just be the observers. Again,

  182. I'll go back to where I started. There is a

  183. mission and a vision for this church, and there is

  184. no way that that mission and vision can be accomplished

  185. without us moving. So we can't afford to sit down

  186. and just watch the others. Or you possibly could, but

  187. if you do, then you're not active in what God

  188. has called you to be active in so that means

  189. that you would really not be flourishing, you would just

  190. be here. To believe. To be active is to believe

  191. in what the vision and the mission is saying. To

  192. be active is to also be an active participant within

  193. the body and the community of fellowship that we're in.

  194. So there should never be anybody in this house that

  195. is not working. Even if it just means that you're praying,

  196. if you're praying for the Leaders, you're praying for the mission.

  197. That's why we're praying for our mission and our vision

  198. right now the prayer group yard. We're lifting it up

  199. unto God because the Bible said, just write the vision

  200. down and make it plain and do it terry wait

  201. on it. See God brings that vision to pass. But

  202. when he sees us atatively working, that's telling God that, hey,

  203. we got the vision that you gave the leaders, So

  204. now we're gonna run with this thing. And so our

  205. vision says that we are to go out. It calls

  206. us to go out to witness, to reach those that

  207. are lost. Y'all. There are people dying every day and

  208. going straight to Hell, even though at their funeral they're

  209. putting them in heaven. If you don't know God, if

  210. you're absent from the presence of God in your life,

  211. there is no eternity with God. He says, shall no

  212. sin make it in And so a lot of times

  213. we're not even truthful with that. When we're out talking

  214. to you don't even have to be out witness, and

  215. your witness can be in your house. Your witness can

  216. be the way you are on the telephone. I heard

  217. Minister Wenbley say I was talking to the man about

  218. the house, and because he was a pastor, we talked

  219. about God for forty five minutes. We really didn't even

  220. talk about the house. There's some times you can get

  221. on the phone and start having a communication with someone

  222. and it goes totally the opposite. For those that have

  223. a spiritual discernment. You can be talking to somebody and

  224. that person can be going through something. I just had.

  225. It happened to me the other week and I was like, well,

  226. what's going with a lady at CCS. I don't know,

  227. I don't even know what she looks like. I've never

  228. seen them, We've only did phone calls. But she just

  229. didn't sound right. And I say, Vanessa, you okay, and

  230. she said no, sound like she was crying. I said, well,

  231. can I pray for you? It didn't take what you doing,

  232. what you going through? Who did it? What fun? Why?

  233. Now I sensed the Lord allowed me to sense that

  234. you needed him, and for whatever reason, he used me

  235. to pray. And I say for whatever reason, because the

  236. Bible says that the ears of the Lord are only

  237. attentive and to the righteous. So everybody that you might

  238. meet may not be saved. It's some unsaved people that

  239. need some prayer. And because God is who y'all just

  240. said he was, even when we're undeserving, even when we're unworried,

  241. that God is yet there for us. When I was

  242. in hour my sin, God was still there for me,

  243. divinely covering and protecting me. And I was a sinner.

  244. That's why it's not good for us to decide who

  245. God gonna deal with, who God gonna talk to, who

  246. God gonna mess with. I don't hear people tell me, well,

  247. I'm not gonna listen to them because they ain't say

  248. they trying to tell me what God said. God used

  249. a donkey. You can't tell me who God gonna use.

  250. And if you know God and that word that they're

  251. saying sounds similar to the God that you know, you

  252. might want to listen to that word. I'm reminded of Ezekiel,

  253. and God told him, go and preach to my people.

  254. He say, But even though I'm sending you to them,

  255. they're not gonna listen to you. He said, they stiff

  256. necked and hard headed. So my thought when I read

  257. that part was why send them? And then you go

  258. down a couple of verses and God tells them, he says,

  259. because I already went to them. He say, they I

  260. know they're not gonna listen to you because they wouldn't

  261. listen to me. But I want you to go anywhere

  262. and keep telling them why because eventually that breaks up

  263. that follow ground in somebody's heart. We feel like, because

  264. we done said it once, that's it. I ain't saying

  265. it no more. I invited her to church and she

  266. didn't come. I ain't inviting her no more. Yeah, just

  267. leave her alone. She don't want to go, But you

  268. don't know if the Lord keeps sending you keep going. Now,

  269. and people like to use the how Jesus sent after

  270. disciples when he said dust your feet off. But sometimes

  271. God won't tell you to dust your feet off. Sometimes

  272. God will tell you to go back. Why because God

  273. is doing the work in them. It's not us to

  274. deal with the issues of people's hearts, but it's God.

  275. He know what it's gonna take for that person. And

  276. it might take you six seven times asking them to

  277. come to church before they come. But if the Lord

  278. keeps sending you, you keep going because you're gonna be

  279. the individual that helps that person to come in. That's

  280. part of our growth within the church. We can't be lazy.

  281. We can't just want to come to church and sit down.

  282. We can't just want to come and get the word

  283. for ourself and don't never share it with nobody else.

  284. We can't. It's not ours to do that. We are

  285. laborers together with Christ. What did Christ do? And he

  286. did his work in three years, don't I can't tell

  287. you too many times when he did rest. But when

  288. he did rest, they were short rest because somebody was

  289. waking him up. Hey Jesus, it's a storm out here.

  290. Do you not know? Do you not care about us?

  291. We don't know how long he is. He was asleep,

  292. but they wouldn't even let him sleep long because they

  293. had something they wanted him to do. And so when

  294. I think of that, I think sometimes that's what we do.

  295. We think I need more sleep, I need more rest.

  296. I'm tired. I can't do this. But if God has

  297. called us to the work, will he not give us

  298. the strength to do it? Because Second Chronicles says that

  299. he will give strength to the one that's committed. He

  300. will literally give strength. And I'll have to make sure

  301. I'll give you that scriptures on the end, But it's

  302. coming to me now. Second Chronicle sixteen to nineteen it

  303. says he's literally looking for the committed individual just so

  304. he can give them some strength. Because God understands what

  305. it takes for us to do what He's called us

  306. to do, and it for sure takes commitment. It takes commitment,

  307. and it takes us to be a part of a body.

  308. You can't be a lone ranger and say that you're

  309. a part of God when it comes to us being

  310. compared to the two trees, the Cedar of Lebanon is prized,

  311. had both of them really are prized. That's having great strength,

  312. while the palm tree represents flex ability in harsh conditions.

  313. Because the palm tree is said that in the midst

  314. of a storm, that the roots are so deep that

  315. even though the wind blows the tree, the tree never breaks,

  316. never breaks, because it's rooted deep within that soul. Our

  317. soul is here and in God. This is our church.

  318. Verse thirteen says those that be planted in the House

  319. of the Lord, you have to be planted. It's important

  320. that you be planted. You can't just be a freestyle Christian.

  321. You can be, but most freestyle Christians, when they're not

  322. plant then they work out their own self. They work

  323. in self righteousness, they work in pride. Why because can't

  324. nobody tell them what to do. That's normally why their

  325. freestands Christians. They don't go to church. I don't have

  326. a church. I don't need a pastor, I don't need

  327. a community. But the Bible continue usually cause us to

  328. have this community. Without this community, we don't have anybody

  329. to hold us up. If you don't come in and

  330. encourage me, inspire me, and empower me, I'm gonna die

  331. sitting in one of those seats. The House of God

  332. is for encouragement, inspire me sometimes lift me up. Things

  333. don't always feel good. I can't go to the world

  334. and ask them to encourage me. Because if I get

  335. to the world and things are going bad, that girl,

  336. I wouldn't go back over there on girl. Me and

  337. my husband going through Girl, I'd leave him. I divorce him. Girl,

  338. I wouldn't put up with that. Beat them kids, They're

  339. not gonna tell me what God wants me to know.

  340. So in this house, this is how we grow. We

  341. encourage one another. We be like that tree. We don't move,

  342. we don't be unshakable. We stand, and we stand symbolized

  343. in uprightness and also burn fruit. That was the other

  344. thing about both of these trees. They both bear good fruit.

  345. The seedar of Lebanon. It's prized with its strength, while

  346. the palm tree represents flexibility and harsh conditions through storms

  347. and beyond, but not break. They're both able to be

  348. flexible when it comes for the work that they have

  349. been called to do. We should be flexible when it

  350. comes to the work that God has called us to do.

  351. And I understand everybody have a busy schedule. So when

  352. I'm talking about flexibility, I'm talking about us doing what

  353. the House of God has called us to do when

  354. it comes to the mission and the vision we all

  355. have lives. Again, it's not as if God does not know.

  356. He's the God that knows the end from the beginning.

  357. And sometimes we'll take what we're doing and we'll put

  358. God's work on the back burner. When we just put

  359. God's work on the front burner, God will take her

  360. all of the rest of ours. Takes you again, back

  361. to Matthew six and thirty three. God knows. So being

  362. in this house is not just for us to come

  363. in every Sunday or even if you come on Wednesdays

  364. to get a word and then that just be it.

  365. This is where we grow at. This is where we

  366. get nourishment. This is where where we start to flourish.

  367. And this is what this text is saying. It's saying

  368. that again, those that be planted in the House of

  369. the Lord shall it's a promise that will flourish. But

  370. we have to be planted. And planet means I'm not

  371. just there. A planet means I'm doing something in the

  372. house of God. What God is saying is is we

  373. have resilience, and we have to use the resilition that

  374. we have. We also can have stability. Both of these

  375. trees are considered to be constant in spiritual life due

  376. to them having the evergreen nature. They both bear fruit

  377. as we have been called to bear fruit according to

  378. Galatians five, twenty two and twenty three, and they both

  379. have divine care. This is the part that just bless

  380. my soul, because what is divine care? That's God caring

  381. for us. In this text, we are made, we are

  382. compared to these two trees. But when I did research

  383. on these two trees, it says that these two trees

  384. are not even seemingly being have ever been planted by man.

  385. These trees just upspurt, so it could be that's why

  386. they're in different areas. It says that often referred to

  387. these trees are often referred to trees of the life Lord,

  388. signifying that they are not cultivated by human hands, but

  389. they're cared for by God just as we are. So

  390. the same care and nurture that he has for these

  391. trees is what he's saying he has for the righteous.

  392. Who are us when we find ourselves played in the

  393. house of God, because we can't do this outside the

  394. house of God. Give an example, when we first got saved,

  395. we didn't know any churches. We I wasn't raised up

  396. in no church. I don't know much about my husband,

  397. but I know he wasn't churchy, and so we didn't

  398. know nothing about no churches. I'm just saying. I went

  399. to church as a little kid, and it was the

  400. first Baptist church in Hoves. And we used to say

  401. to the white people, but they would come to the

  402. neighborhood where the underprivileged kids wearing on Saturdays. They give

  403. us gum and a little flyer and invite us to church.

  404. And because we knew when we got to church after

  405. church was old, we would get donuts and kool aid

  406. or donuts and juice. So who wasn't going, we all went.

  407. And that was my experience with church. So I didn't

  408. know nothing about no church. So when the Lord saved me,

  409. I didn't know what to do. I didn't even know

  410. what was going on. For the longest, I thought I

  411. was crazy. But the Lord started dealing with me about

  412. studying the Word of God, and I mean was sending

  413. people to me. I had one big bible I don't

  414. even know where the bible is now, a big white

  415. bible that sat on my living room table. And that

  416. thing was probably so dusty. It was pathetic, and every

  417. so often I would just open it up and whatever

  418. scripture was there was there. Again, I wasn't saved, that

  419. I wasn't looking to be saved. And so when we

  420. got saved and the Lord really started dealing with me, delivered

  421. me from alcohol, started taking cussing out my mouth, and

  422. all I could do was read and study the Word.

  423. So we ourselves, me and my husband and my two girls,

  424. created us a little Bible study and we had Bible

  425. study three days a week. And so with that being said,

  426. we thought we was in that thing. We don't need

  427. no church. We got Bible study three days a week.

  428. And even though my husband kept telling me and the

  429. girl we was always wrong, we still sat at that

  430. kitchen table and study at that Bible three days a week.

  431. And when we didn't study it three days a week,

  432. I know for me, I was always with me. I

  433. was studying reading at work. I turned all the cable

  434. off so I watched church TV. They couldn't do nothing, chiryl.

  435. I took it all away from him, no bt, no nothing.

  436. If we're gonna be saved, we're gonna be saved for real.

  437. So my thing was that was Salvation. That was church.

  438. We had church in our house and I thought we

  439. did pretty good at it. We did not have to

  440. dress up because I didn't have no church clothes. They

  441. didn't have church clothes. And the Lord we were setting

  442. at that table one day and God said, you can't

  443. do this. You have to get up and go find

  444. you a church. And I didn't know how to find

  445. the church. How do you you just walk into people's churches.

  446. And so my youngest daughter Pat at the time, she said, well,

  447. my friend Tayisha got a church. So we went and

  448. tried Tayist's church and just didn't feel right. So then

  449. we went and we tried another church. And I worked

  450. as a nurse ay for years, so it was always

  451. four on two offs, so I didn't get to go

  452. to church every Sunday, but they had to go, and

  453. so I remember calling them, or better yet, eld To

  454. would call me. Well, she minised the womenen Now she

  455. says she ain't got nothing to worre And I said,

  456. I don't carry y'all still got to go to church

  457. just because I'm not there, don't mean nothing. Well, she

  458. ain't got nothing to world while we oh, she shouldn't

  459. have to go to church, Whigga, and none of us

  460. had none in the world. Again, we wasn't church people,

  461. and so I guess that was their excuse. And so

  462. eventually the Lord another friend of pasts thank gone for

  463. patting her friends, because another friend of pats came along

  464. and it just happened to be Pastor Moore's daughter, and

  465. she came and invited me to church. And when she

  466. invited me to the church, the church was down there

  467. on MLK, and it was just something when I got

  468. into that house. And then once we got into church.

  469. Take this long story and make it short, I understood

  470. why God said we needed a church. We needed a community,

  471. We needed somebody to help us grow, We needed a

  472. leader to lead us. I didn't know how to lead, obviously,

  473. Elda didn't know how to lead. And I'm serious, because

  474. we all in this house and we all trying to

  475. lead each other. And I don't think none of us

  476. ever really knew. And I'm just being honest newly saved.

  477. I don't think he mind me saying this. He had

  478. some jail house Bible. You know, people go to jail

  479. and they all read the Bible, and so he knew

  480. more scripture than we did. Well, this is what I learned.

  481. And then my brother in law bless us, ohd. He

  482. was just a sweet tooth chip. He would tell me

  483. was started Proverbs. But starting Proverbs when there's thirty days

  484. in the month, so you can read a chapter every

  485. day in his too. Prison ministry. But look at what

  486. the Lord done, what they learned in the penitantry. They

  487. was able to come out and help me who was

  488. newly saved and had not been in a church. So

  489. I don't take that for granted, and I don't take

  490. that lightly. I know it's a bunch of saved, sanctified

  491. men and women at behind prison doors. Thank you for

  492. prison ministry. Amen. So what I'm saying is we still

  493. needed a house. I couldn't go to the penitantry. I'm

  494. scared of jail, so I had to find a church house.

  495. And I'm just saying, we needed a house. And so

  496. the Lord led us to this house. And once I

  497. got in this house, I understood what God was saying about,

  498. you need a church. So that's why I say when

  499. people that are outside of the church and they keep

  500. saying I don't need no church, I don't need no pastor.

  501. I don't need to sit up under nobody. If I

  502. don't tell you from twenty years ago growth that is

  503. in me, I wouldn't be standing up here right now.

  504. And so it says growth starts here in the house

  505. of God. It just happened to be for us that

  506. this is our house. And so with the mission and

  507. the vision and the visionary that God gave it to,

  508. when we can set up under leadership and be submitted

  509. to leadership to the man that we believe God has

  510. chose to lead us, because if we don't feel like

  511. this is the band, then we need to go find

  512. another man, oh, another woman, because there's some other churches.

  513. And so maybe you don't feel like this is the church.

  514. Well I'm gonna get nurtured. Well I'm gonna get matured.

  515. But I believe. I told my grandbaby the other day.

  516. I have a grand baby that's sixteen, and bless our

  517. little heart. She's in Dallas and she's she's she's trying,

  518. and so she'll text me all the time and Nana,

  519. what should I do? And Nana, they said this, and

  520. what does this Bible verse mean? Well, last week she

  521. text me, she said, Nana, this is the church I'm

  522. going to. But I'm not in Dallas. I don't know

  523. none of those churches. And I explained to her, I

  524. don't know the church. I say, but Nietsha, are they

  525. preaching the word? And she say, well, I think they are.

  526. I say, well, you get into the words, so you'll

  527. know the word, and then you'll know if they're preaching it.

  528. Because as long as they're preaching the word, that's God's house.

  529. Satan ain't preaching the word. The man that's trying to

  530. steal your money ain't preaching the word. He done tweaked it.

  531. Turn it all around the line. Prophet is not teaching

  532. the word. So if the word of God is going

  533. forth in that house and you know the word, that's

  534. your evidence. That's your house. That's where you're gonna grow at.

  535. So my growing started here. So like that palm tree,

  536. I am now, like the sea of Lebanon, I am

  537. now because I stand for mine even when somebody else

  538. may be against it. I stand for it. Why because

  539. this is my house. This is the house where it

  540. talks about in thirteen. It says the house of the

  541. Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. When

  542. I looked up the courts, it said in the Old

  543. Testament that was considered to be the temple, But now

  544. the courts is considered to be in Jesus Christ. And

  545. I know Jesus is in this church because Jesus' word

  546. continues to go forth. Jesus was the Word, and he

  547. became flesh and dwelt among us. Just because he's gone,

  548. it don't stop him from being the word. So as

  549. long as the Word of God is going forth in

  550. this house, I'm in the right house. The righteous shall

  551. flourish like a palm tree. And the palm tree is

  552. described as symbolizing victory. We go to victory and praise.

  553. There's victory in our praise, regardless of what it looks like.

  554. There is victory in our praise. Again, I've been here

  555. for twenty years, and I done seen some stuff happen.

  556. I done seen some people come and some people go.

  557. But we are still victorious because we continue the praise.

  558. We continue to prass. We don't give up and give in.

  559. I spent some times we come together and cried, come

  560. together and had the fast, come together and did not

  561. understand what our leader was talking about. But we stood

  562. we went and cleaned up abandoned houses, empty fields. I

  563. don't even know if any of us asked why, But

  564. when he said, this is what the Lord said, we

  565. trusted that that was what God was saying, and we

  566. went and did it. For some of the things that

  567. we did, we seen the manifestation of why God called

  568. us to do it right away. Quickly. We went on

  569. sixty sixth Street where they was out there just shooting

  570. and killing each other left and right them young boys.

  571. Was the Lord didn't say, go out there and preach

  572. on the street corner and we cut them. We have

  573. an evangelist in the house, We had a pastor in

  574. the house. We cut the church was full of people.

  575. Then we could have went out there and stood for

  576. days and just preached. Now the Lord said, go clean

  577. a vacant lot. We went out there and with the

  578. cleaning that lot. And if God did not move up

  579. on those people, so that the people went to coming

  580. out of their house, cleaning up their own apartment around

  581. their own apartments, and then some of them come over

  582. there with us and start helping us clean up an

  583. empty field. Y'all our promise. We're picking up broken beer

  584. bottles all kind of trash. The Lord would have you

  585. to get to a place where he can start your growth,

  586. and that's normally your foundational home for Christ. The Bible says,

  587. charity starts at home, but growth starts here. Growth starts

  588. here because we have somebody that would preach us the

  589. word of God, that would teach us the word of God.

  590. And then we're listeners. We're not just satting, we're not

  591. just spectators. When we come here, we get involved. Even

  592. on Wednesday night Bible Study. If you have any questions

  593. and you're not coming to the Bible study, come to

  594. Bible Study so you can get your questions answered so

  595. we can find them together. Don't I'm not gonna say

  596. overseer know it all. I don't know it all. I

  597. don't think none of us know it all. But it's

  598. times we're in here and we're all getting it together.

  599. We're all helping one another out. It says we have

  600. we symbolize the tree, symbolize victory as we do, fruitfulness

  601. and growth from the center. And when it talks about

  602. the center of the tree, it talks about an inner renewal.

  603. So once we get some things in us, we can

  604. start being renewed that also continues to help us to

  605. stay upright and to flourish again. Striving and growing looks luxuriously.

  606. How many of us want to grow luxuriously? That's just

  607. a beautiful word to say about a human being. We

  608. can also prosper again. Flourishing does not always have to

  609. be spiritual, even though it's considered to be spiritual vitality.

  610. We can grow prosperously too. Why because you learned the word.

  611. I learned that I need to be all tether and

  612. when I give my ten cent, according to Malacho three

  613. and ten, God to open up the windows of heaven

  614. and pour me out of blessing that I don't have

  615. room enough to receive. A lot of people say that's

  616. old Testament, so we don't use it in the New Testament.

  617. Well that's for them, because I use it in the

  618. New Testament. My husband told you were fifteen oh two weeks, Amhurst.

  619. Even when we didn't have God made provision, we've always

  620. stood on the reason that God takes care of us

  621. the way he do it is because we were tithers faithful.

  622. Tithers keep something from him for what it's all his. Yeah,

  623. I can't give him back ten percent. What's ten percent?

  624. If I got one hundred dollars, I'm giving him ten

  625. because I'll take it and give it to McDonald's. I'll

  626. give it to Walmart. Everybody say I should have stock

  627. in Walmart. I should own that one over here by

  628. Marshall Show, because I'm there so much and Walmart ain't

  629. not once tried to give me a dime. They won't

  630. even out for me, no stock as much money as

  631. I spend in their store. But I can bring my

  632. teen percent in here to Christ And when and when

  633. that there's not a way out of no way, he

  634. makes a way out of no way. Amen. Yeah, I

  635. remember when we did not have but because of being

  636. faithful tied, we had. We had checks coming the mail,

  637. We had people to show up at the door. Didn't

  638. even know that we was needed. At least we didn't

  639. tell them, but the Lord did. And just in our honesty,

  640. we ain't always been where we are now. My husband

  641. had two surgeries back to back and he couldn't work.

  642. My daycareage just started out, and I had no wisdom

  643. and knowledge of a daycare. Everybody they mama, I was

  644. keeping their kids for fifty dollars a week and still

  645. feeding them. We didn't have We wasn't making nothing. He

  646. had his surgery. They wouldn't even give him his disability

  647. for a surgery. And if I don't tell you, checks

  648. would start coming in the mail. People start showing up

  649. with food. We had just got five kids, Pat graduated,

  650. moved out. Pat wasn't gone a good three months before.

  651. Here we are with five, five babies, and I mean babies.

  652. I bought Zay home from the hospital. CPS told us

  653. go apply for food steps, they got to give you some.

  654. I told them people what CPS said. That woman told

  655. me some people don't tell us what to do, and

  656. that's exactly what she said. We ain't got to give

  657. you nothing. She say, your husband's income is too much.

  658. My husband wasn't even having income. So it's being planted

  659. and understanding what we do while we're planting it in

  660. this house. So we do tithe, so we help out,

  661. We bring forth work to the house, the house that's

  662. gonna help us to grow. So whether it be cleaning,

  663. whether it be picking up trash, whether it be picking

  664. up somebody to bring them to church. This is how

  665. we get our spiritual growth, our spiritual growth causes us

  666. to flourish in the courts of our God. God's House

  667. helps us to not only grow in our faith through

  668. the teaching and the preaching of God's Word, but it

  669. also helps us in this great community having one another,

  670. to lean on one another, to encourage another, to lift up,

  671. somebody to pray with, somebody to pray for. I loved

  672. that about this house of God, that we're praying house

  673. of God. The Bible says that the church is a

  674. house of prayer. We're always praying, been doing that since

  675. I got here. I remember coming in here and we

  676. did a seven day where we walked around the church.

  677. The chairs was in a different area. Chairs were kind

  678. of inward, and we walked around this church every afternoon

  679. and prayed. And after we got through praying, we had

  680. to drink some nasty I can't even remember what it was. No,

  681. it was the thing that the green leaf alavira alavia

  682. juice was a part of our fast. And we did

  683. that and we didn't know why. The Lord said do

  684. that again, overseer just being obedient to God. And I

  685. don't remember exactly what happened afterwards, but I do remember

  686. that there was a manifestation when we went cleaned up

  687. that vacant house that was so nasty it made me

  688. sick to my stomach. We didn't know why we was

  689. doing it. The house caught on fire. Somebody said something

  690. to oversee and he said the Lord had led him

  691. for us to go over there and help clean up

  692. that house. And I think we really help cleaned it

  693. up for it to get demolished. But we saw souls

  694. coming into church. We saw people coming into church, whether

  695. it would be people that seen us doing the work

  696. or whether it was just God start sending people. So

  697. we never know what God is calling us to do something. Again,

  698. this is our house, this is where we grow. So

  699. when it comes to outreach ministry, the whole congregation needs

  700. to be a part, whether it be just for the

  701. house or for your house. Because I believe that as

  702. we move, God moves even in our lives. And so

  703. again taking the opportunity to understand that, yeah, we don't

  704. want to get complacent in nothing that we do. We

  705. want to always continue to move forward and moving the

  706. things of God. And that's what we do as a

  707. community together. God didn't call any of us to take

  708. this journey alone. None of us. That's why Adam got Eve.

  709. And even after Adam got even they start bearing children.

  710. Even after they messed up things for us in the

  711. Promised Land, I mean in heaven, we still were never

  712. called to do this alone. We're called to do this

  713. as a community, as a group. The community is the church.

  714. The church should be helping build one another up. The

  715. church should also be helping to build build up the

  716. vision of the church. And as I read to you earlier,

  717. what our vision is. We operate in the spirit of excellence.

  718. We might not be all excellent, but we operated in

  719. the spirit of excellence. That's why it's important that we

  720. walk in the spirit and not in our flesh. It's

  721. even in our flesh where the enemy tell us that

  722. we can't do it. And if you don't tell you

  723. that you can't do it, he'll tell you, don't do it.

  724. That's not gonna benefit nothing, that's not gonna benefit you.

  725. Don't do that. I wouldn't do that. But the Bible

  726. says that we have to daily crucify this flesh, because

  727. if we don't, we won't never do it in the spirit.

  728. We won't never be able to walk in the spirit.

  729. You cannot grow if you're constantly uprooting yourself. Either to

  730. uproot yourself mean you start something and then you stop.

  731. There's some scriptures on God uprooting some people, but we

  732. don't want God to uprooters. And I really don't want

  733. you to be uprooting yourself because it's almost like once

  734. you get started on something and you stop, it's like

  735. you got to start all over again because you're no

  736. longer doing that. I continue to encourage people to be committed.

  737. And the reason that I say be committed is because

  738. we're not being just committed to one another, but we're

  739. being committed to God first. And if we're serving a

  740. God that's committed to us, the least we can do

  741. is be committed to him. The Bible says, even when

  742. we're not faithful, he's yet still faithful to us. And

  743. so the least we can do is try. You may

  744. not be able to do it. Some things happen all

  745. the time. You might be in the hospital, you might

  746. be sick, you might be tired, you might be ailing.

  747. Okay on that day, don't do it. But as soon

  748. as you get your strength back, because what we are

  749. weak as strength has made perfect learn to ask for

  750. some strength. Hey, God, I'm weak in this area. I

  751. need you to come in strengthen me in this area. Lord.

  752. So as long as we do that, then we can

  753. continue to stay on course. But if we keep up

  754. rooting ourself, anytime you pull a flower up, I don't

  755. know about you planners. Anytime you pull a flower up

  756. out of its soil and let that flower sit out

  757. for too long, what happens is the roots on that plant,

  758. and it could be a deep rooted plant. I don't

  759. do good with growing plants, so Lord, have mercy on me.

  760. That's why I don't bob anymore. But if you take

  761. the plant up out and you can see the roots

  762. in the rooms are like a real light color. Some

  763. of them even look almost white like. Let that plant

  764. set out for a while, those roots start drying up,

  765. swiveling swiveling up, and they start to turn colors. They're

  766. not white anymore. That's the life. The life drives out

  767. of us when we uproot ourselves out of God. Try

  768. studying for a couple of months, just real, real good,

  769. get intense on. I done found something and I'm gonna

  770. study on this. And then all of a sudden you

  771. don't study or read your word for a while, it

  772. don't feel right. And I know because I done did it.

  773. Try not praying for a while and then try to

  774. go back and pray, and it's like, oh, Lord, what

  775. am I supposed to be saying? I don't forgot all

  776. to pray. I'm just being honest with you. And it

  777. don't take long. You can be in the word, real,

  778. real good for two three days and then you done

  779. took a break for whatever reason. Halftime. For me, it

  780. is lazy. I can always talk about me first, or

  781. I get caught up on one of them games on

  782. my phone and don't read the word two days, and

  783. I'll be like, oh my goodness, Lord, what happened? You

  784. uprooted yourself, so now you got to get back in

  785. the soil. And then once you get back in the swil,

  786. you can't get in the sawl without the word. Ah,

  787. by shade, the water is the word. How can you

  788. ever get flourished? How can you ever get nourishment without

  789. the word of God? How can you be a saint

  790. of God and not get the word? Jesus said, it's

  791. our daily bread. I eat sometimes six times a day.

  792. I'm telling them myself again sometimes ain't always if they smile,

  793. I could probably be more understanding because they say you

  794. can eed small portions like six times a day, keep

  795. you yeah, helps you out with trying to lose weight.

  796. But can we get into words six times a day?

  797. Can you read six scriptures a day? Because if you don't,

  798. you won't grow. That's why so many shaky quaky question

  799. is now and I'm serious, because what do you have

  800. to stand on? The word is the firm foundation. So

  801. if I ain't got the word to stand on, then

  802. as soon as something happened there I go again, woe.

  803. It's me. I don't know what to do. Sixty six

  804. books in the Bible, and every last one of those

  805. books have an instruction on something that we're going through.

  806. But if I upmove myself from that, and especially if

  807. I'm really really working on something and I prematurely uproot myself,

  808. I've cut it off. So unlike the tree of Lebanon

  809. in a palm tree, I'm no longer strong anymore. I

  810. won't be able to withstand the storm. So we must

  811. continue to grow. We must continue to stay planet in

  812. God and in a good church. And because I'm preaching

  813. to this church today. We're in a good church. You

  814. know why it's good because the Word and there's a

  815. bunch of imperfect people looking for a perfect God. I

  816. don't want to ever go to a church where everybody

  817. in the church is perfect, because if I do them

  818. or mess them up, and if they say they perfect,

  819. they gonna mess me up. It's only one perfect individual,

  820. and that was Jesus. So we all got some issues.

  821. We also have some shortcomings. He say, we all fall

  822. short of His glory. Our righteousness is filthy rags. So

  823. I'm not all that on a bag of chips. Don't

  824. come in here trying to act like you all that

  825. on the bag of chips. I'm sick. I need a doctor,

  826. So I come to the house of God. This is

  827. what a true physician is. I need prayer. I come

  828. in here. My life ain't altogether. I come in here.

  829. This is what this house is for. It's not a

  830. house of judgment, a house of acceptance. I say, my

  831. pastor has the heart of God, the heart of God.

  832. There's some things that I seen him go through that

  833. it ain't nowhere in the world. It could have been me.

  834. I'd have been fighting and I'm saved, But it's just

  835. I mean, I'm just saying and I'm not saying like

  836. right now, but I'm saying some of the stuff that

  837. I seen him go through. I think I would have

  838. been one of those people that told a lot that

  839. they put down their salvation for a minute, how to

  840. put it down, and did what I had to do,

  841. even though you can't do that. So don't listen to

  842. me on that one. But you hear people say that

  843. all time. Oh, I just put it down and then

  844. I'll pick it back up. But I'm just saying the

  845. heart of God, God loves us so much that even

  846. in our mess, He's yet there for us. The Bible

  847. says He's mindful of the situations and the circumstances that

  848. we go through, and we can just be neglecting him.

  849. We can go all day long and don't even say

  850. thank you, and we're breathing roofs over our head, shoes

  851. on our feet, close on our back, and won't even

  852. say thank you. But that don't stop him from loving us.

  853. That's the heart of God. And God said, I'll give

  854. you pastors after mind on heart. We have a pastor

  855. after God's own heart. We have a pastor that not

  856. only cares about us, but he cares about the community.

  857. Not a pastor the charge I mean, because they're our

  858. pastors ain't right nowadays, and we see that just from

  859. watching social media with not taking the money in talking

  860. crazy to us. I heard a pastor the other day

  861. and he was just cussing in the church, and I say,

  862. good God from Zion, what is going on when you

  863. can defile the house of God and it not even

  864. bother you? And I mean he was cussing them people

  865. like it was left and right. We have a good pastor.

  866. We have a pastor that we know is a pastor

  867. after God's own heart. But we also know that he

  868. preaches the word unadult rated. He don't sugarcoat it. He

  869. not gonna try to make you feel good, because the

  870. whole focus is that we all get to where God

  871. has called us to be, and that's one day with God.

  872. So in verse fourteen, it talks about this fruit that

  873. still brings this uh, this individual plant that still brings

  874. forth good fruit even in their old age. And when

  875. I read that, I thought about Mother Burnham and Mac Johnson. Y'all,

  876. we went out to do our witnessing last week, and

  877. if I don't tell y'all, them two sisters wouldn't get

  878. don't tell me you can't move. Even when they got

  879. tired and we had to go back and get calls,

  880. they was walking. Mother Johnson was with me, and we

  881. walked that apartment complex until we finished. I don't think

  882. Mother Johnson, and I think even with Mother Burnma, she

  883. walked until they finished. She was with Overseer and first Lady.

  884. Mother Johnson was with me. And so age has nothing

  885. to do with what God has called you to do.

  886. We have to go back and remember again, if you're

  887. gonna be committed to it, He'll give you the strength

  888. to do it. They were committed to doing that. Mother

  889. Johnson say I might not be able to do it

  890. tomorrow because I think her legs was hurting her knee

  891. or something. She said, But y'all got me today. She said,

  892. I might have to take a break tomorrow and then

  893. I'll come back the following day and showed up. She

  894. did not come back the next day, but she showed

  895. up the third day. She was in there helping us

  896. feed and helping us make plates. Burma was with us

  897. the second day and I ain't. Oh, but I just

  898. ain't all together that it with these legs no more either.

  899. So I was going up them steps and I'm saying,

  900. Lord Jesus, but that's where we grow. The reason that

  901. I believe God gave me this is because God wants

  902. us to continue to grow. But in our growing, we're

  903. gonna have to start going. This is a house of

  904. vision and mission, and our vision and mission was never

  905. meant to stay on the inside. Our vision and mission

  906. is the outside. My own little grandson, Malakar, and I

  907. think we all were tippled by him because he was

  908. about as excited as as some of us were when

  909. it comes to witnessing. But he would only go with

  910. his papa, and I think he had instructions for his papa.

  911. You not, Papa, then I'll give him the fly. But

  912. to see that five year old baby excited about witnessing,

  913. because that's what we have been called to do. So

  914. if we can get him at the age of Malika,

  915. by the time we get ready to go out and

  916. witness for Vacation Bible School that's coming up, Malaka gonna

  917. be standing at the front of the line because he

  918. enjoyed that both days out of the second day too.

  919. He wouldn't even leave. He had to wait on this

  920. pop part. I think we had to call him. He said, Now,

  921. I'm going with Papa. That's my witness partner right there.

  922. And so even as they were talking and communicating with people,

  923. that's something that he's gonna be reminded of forever. So

  924. that's a seed planet. What do seeds do? Seeds grow

  925. turn into plants. And as long as that seed sprouts

  926. and stays in the House of God, that's gonna be

  927. a powerful man of God if we're all if he's

  928. still here years from now and he's grown, because we're

  929. living in the last days, you all, and we can

  930. see that all over the world with what's going on,

  931. Jesus is soon to come. Like I say, I've only

  932. been in the church for twenty years, and I know

  933. I've been hearing it since before I got here, But

  934. I believe it's sooner now. As we look at two

  935. Timothy chapter three when it talks about perilous times. I

  936. was telling my daughter, I just watched the video the

  937. other day and it was horrific, and I had sent

  938. it to I thank her Sherlyn. She say, By the

  939. time she got ready to open it. It was gone,

  940. a boyfriend who shot his girlfriend, and then the girl's mother,

  941. her family and him started looting her apartment while she's

  942. laying in the closet after being shot. You tell me this.

  943. In a cold, cold world, lovers of the Mowonne selves,

  944. hearts have grown cold and wax. That's the times that

  945. we're living in. And he says, these are perilous times.

  946. So it's important that we get out there while it's

  947. perilous times and be a witness to some of those

  948. that may have an opportunity to come in. God said

  949. he wished to no soul with Paris and end up

  950. an eternal damnation. We should have the same heart as God.

  951. We shouldn't wish that nobody would dine and go to hell.

  952. But if we're not telling them anything, if we're just

  953. sitting behind here praising and worshiping and shouting and spitting,

  954. and that's all we're doing, there's a book, it's a bee.

  955. But anyway, yes, but to God be the glory. Don't

  956. let invite me. Lord. If we don't get out and

  957. start witnessing and being an example to the world them,

  958. we're just again sitting and wasting time. They shall still

  959. bring forth fruit even in their old age. Not just

  960. Mother Johnson, not just Mother Burma. The world of Christ,

  961. even as we get older, we will continue. If we

  962. will continue to grow and be consistent, not just in

  963. one season, but seasonal, then we'll be We'll be doing

  964. what God has called us to do. Spiritual growth does

  965. not come from just spending time in the world and

  966. spending time in prayer and even spending time in consecration.

  967. But it comes from spending time with doing what God

  968. has called us to do. God has called us to

  969. get up and to go. It's a lifestyle that we

  970. continue to do. It's who we are. We never age

  971. out when it comes to our purpose, and that's a

  972. part of our purpose. That's why God said he would

  973. give us strength. Romans twelve and two says, be not

  974. conformed to this world would be transformed by the renewing

  975. of our minds. That's a continuation thing. We have to

  976. continue to change and transform and renew ourselves in our minds.

  977. First Peter two and two says, it encourages us to

  978. desire the sincere minkle the word, so we have to

  979. continuously stay in the word. It matures us. It grows

  980. us up and helps us to walk in what God

  981. has called us to walk in. We don't age out

  982. of purpose, we actually grow into purpose. The more that

  983. we mature in the things of God and the ways

  984. of God, then God is bringing us into the purpose

  985. that He has for our life. And many of us

  986. don't even know what our purpose is sometimes. But if

  987. you'll just hold your hand to the plow and don't

  988. take it turn back, God would eventually show you your purpose.

  989. We all have one of the self same purpose, and

  990. that's for us to pray, that's for us to witness.

  991. That's why he says, let your light so shine before man,

  992. that they will see if your good works, but they

  993. would glorify Him in heaven. Sometimes it's just the way

  994. that you live. You don't even have to tell nobody.

  995. Sometimes it's that you could have cussed, but they didn't

  996. see you cussing. They was like, ah, because if that

  997. would have been me, how it did something different. Look

  998. at how she handled that. That's your light because of

  999. who's in you. And so we don't walk around being

1000. complacent and stagnated. This is why it's also important again

1001. for us to walk in the spirit and not in

1002. the flesh. The spirit is not gonna get stagnated. The

1003. spirit is the spirit of God. It's always moving, it's

1004. always doing something. But when we walk in the flesh,

1005. we get stagnated, we get bored, we sit down, or

1006. something didn't happen quick enough. We went out to those apartments,

1007. and I don't know how many people showed up to

1008. the church, But does it matter. No, we go back out,

1009. We go back to the next one. We keep going.

1010. If nobody ever shows up, we keep going because the

1011. Bible says one plant, one water. But it's God to

1012. give it the increase. If we're trying to give increase,

1013. then we're doing this the wrong way because it's not us.

1014. It don't matter how cute you look, how good you smell.

1015. If it's not God, it won't happen. And so again

1016. God uses these things to grow us up, to mature us.

1017. And so as we continue to be led by God,

1018. then we will allow ourselves to walk in what God

1019. has called us to. Even when the it's coming from

1020. our leader. We won't push back, we won't kick against

1021. the prick. We trust and believe that if He knows

1022. the word and we're saying we know the word, and

1023. when he says something, we know that's God. Why because

1024. it all lines up with the word God in the

1025. Man of God is leading us. We had the little

1026. conference about what did they call it followership? Now? The

1027. one we did here of followership, I think it was

1028. called you can't You won't be a great leader if

1029. you can't follow, and you won't never be a great

1030. follower if you don't have nobody to lead you. So

1031. we all need leadership and we all need to be

1032. good followers. Because if you tell me, right now, come on,

1033. go with me, but you got to follow me to

1034. where we're going. And I get behind you, and then

1035. I just decide, well, she's going too slow, so I'm

1036. gonna go the other way. And then I go the

1037. other way and that ain't even the way she's going.

1038. Now I'm just lost because I decided to do it

1039. my way. I was impatient. She was going too slow,

1040. she wasn't moving the way I thought she should move.

1041. Everybody don't do everything the way we think it should

1042. be done. Me and my husband had that conversation all

1043. the time. I ain't got to say it the way

1044. you want me to say it, Well, I got to

1045. say it the way you want me to say it.

1046. Do I have to do it the way you want

1047. me to do it? No, And so we get frustrated

1048. and we don't go. But it's important to know that

1049. as God is leading us, we got to go, even

  1050. if it's something we don't understand, even if it's a

1051. way I don't think we should be going with. If

1052. God didn't tell me, who am I to argue with God?

1053. And if I start arguing with the man of God

1054. or the woman of God. Now I'm arguing with God

1055. because God told them. So it's important for us to

1056. stay in that alignment. We also need to be familiar

1057. with the God that we serve. So now I'm not

1058. guessing this is really God. He's saying that, But is

1059. that really God? Because that might not be God. Well

1060. you might not know if it's God. Why because you're

1061. not familiar with your God. How much time have you

1062. spent with your God? God did so much stuff in

1063. the Bible and told other people to go tell other

1064. people He cut hisself literally made them the middle man

1065. between him and others. Saul was told, don't go over

1066. there and take all of that stuff. You go over

1067. there and you kill him, and you kill him all.

1068. And he didn't tell that to Saul. He told that

1069. to Samuel. Samuel went't told Saul. Saul didn't listen. And

1070. it could have been that he didn't listen because he said,

1071. sam you don't know what he's talking about. That ain't

1072. what God want because what did he do? He come

1073. back with some stuff and then say I'm giving this

1074. to God as the sacrifice. God told him, Man, your

1075. sacrifices is which car because you were disobedient. So we

1076. don't ever want to get to the place where we

1077. don't want to listen to somebody because we don't think

1078. that's God. We might want to be careful. We might

1079. want to get to know our God and how our

1080. God does things, because God do things the way he

1081. want to do them. He says, ways is far from olbs,

1082. his thoughts is far from ourbs, even though we have

1083. his spirit. In the New Testament, it says that that's

1084. how we know. But he still don't tell us everything.

1085. So we want to make sure that we're in alignment

1086. with what God is doing by being obedient to what

1087. the man of God or the woman of God is saying,

1088. when we're in the house and we recognize that this

1089. is where we grow, our growth starts here. Our growth

1090. will always be point it back to God. Verse fifteen

1091. says to show that the Lord is upright, He is

1092. my rock and there is no unrighteousness in him. It

1093. turns everything back to him. We don't get no glory

1094. for this. So that's another reason why we shouldn't be

1095. kicking against the prick. It ain't for us, it's for God.

1096. When we go out and witness, it ain't for us,

1097. it's for God. Again, we're not trying to feel seats,

1098. but if the seats get full, glory be to God.

1099. When we went out, we didn't just go out witnessing

1100. and inviting people to churches. We also pray for them.

1101. Hey do you have a need? Do you want us

1102. to pray for you today? And I know each group

1103. went out and did their own, but I know in

1104. our group we had some people that needed prayer. So

1105. not for my glory, but for God's glory. Somebody that

1106. we prayed for could have really been in need of something,

1107. and they've been praying because the unsaved believe that God

1108. here's them. That's not biblical. His ear is attentive and

1109. too the righteous. His face is against the wicked. So

1110. there's a lot of times the God have us to

1111. pray for people so that they prayer can get answered,

1112. not that he don't want to help him. I told you,

1113. even when I was unsaved, God was still blessing me.

1114. He was divinely covering me, divinely protecting me, divinely keeping me. Y'all,

1115. I drove what halls an hour and a half drive,

1116. drunk as a skunk, with my babies in the car.

1117. You can't tell me God wasn't keeping me in all

1118. my ignorance back then. My baby's sitting in the car

1119. with me while I was smoking. This baby over here,

1120. but she ain't a baby no more. Used to beg me, mama,

1121. please let the windows down, because that cigarette smoke is

1122. killing me. Mama, please, I can't breathe. But you know

1123. how I Well, maybe you don't, but I know how

1124. I was. I was ignorant, and so my thing is,

1125. I'm grown. I don't want the window down. The one

1126. dy ain't coming down. My baby could have ended up

1127. with lung cancer. I count that as divine coverage. God

1128. see me in my ignorance. He's seen the stupid things

  1129. that I did when I wasn't saved, so he didn't

1130. just keep me, He kept my kids. So all the time,

1131. us going out ain't about us. It's God sending us

1132. on submission work. That's why we have a mission and

1133. a vision. But that growth starts in the house. So

1134. we come in here, we're attentive unto what the pastor

1135. is saying. We're attentive unto what he's doing, and we

1136. try to be obedient to what he's asking us to do,

1137. because Lord forbid. It ain't just him and his lips saying,

1138. come on and go with me, but it's God saying,

1139. see if they'll go with you, and if I say no,

1140. now being disobedient to God. And so like the children

1141. of his room, I want to flourish. I don't want

1142. to miss out on nothing that God has for me.

1143. You can come on, tiller. This my last my third

1144. point here, and I'm from close out. I don't want

1145. to miss out on nothing that God has for me.

1146. But I also don't want to miss out on being

1147. a help to somebody else. To come in. I say,

1148. all the time, there wasn't a whole lot of people,

1149. but I work with this one lady, and her name

1150. was Karen. When I worked at it was called Covenant

1151. Lakeside then, and Karen would always come in with the

1152. little pamphlets and flowers on being saved and getting saved.

1153. She possibly asked me to come to church a couple

1154. of times, and I said, knowing after that she wouldn't

1155. ask me anymore, but she would always come in and

1156. talk to me about God. When I got saved, I

1157. thank God for her because I knew that I didn't

1158. get saved on my own. The Bible says no man

1159. come up to God except that God draw him first.

1160. God uses people to draw us. That woman had the

1161. sweetest demeanor, just as sweet as could be, real quiet,

1162. real meek, real humble, And sometimes I could be real

1163. mean because I wasn't saved, But she never missed an

1164. opportunity to tell me about God. She never missed an

1165. opportunity to Like I said, she might have invited me

1166. to church a couple of times. I don't remember the

1167. invites to church, but I do remember her giving me

1168. the different pamphlets. I always talking to me about God,

1169. and when I got saved, the first time, I said,

1170. all I could do was hug and cry because I

1171. believe what she was doing then was planning seeds. Again,

  1172. I didn't know no saved people. I didn't hang with

  1173. saved people. I wasn't looking to be saved. I don't

1174. think salvation is something that a lot of people are

1175. looking for until something gets tough. And even when stuff

1176. got tough, I still wasn't looking to be saved. I

1177. don't remember being one of them people that prayed and

1178. ask God to do stuff for me. But I wasn't

  1179. saved because I knew I wasn't saved. I wasn't ignorant

1180. to who God was, and I just felt like I

1181. wasn't worthy of anything from God because I didn't serve him. Again,

1182. I remember that much being a kid and going to

1183. church that God wanted me to serve him, and so

1184. I had the utmost respect for churches and for church people.

1185. You couldn't pay me to get on a church parking

1186. lot and do anything. That just wasn't my thing. I

1187. remember sometimes we'd be out and we'd be drunk and

1188. we needed to release somewhere, and if we was close

1189. to a church of no, no to the no, no,

1190. we better drive up some more. I'm serious. I had

1191. fear for God. The Bible says the fear of the

1192. Lord causes us to respect him. Even a sinner can

1193. respect God. And I believe that's because God already has

1194. a call on that person's life. So when we go out,

1195. we don't go out expecting that we're saving somebody, because

1196. we're not. God is just using us to remind them

1197. of who he is and that he wants to save them,

1198. and that they're loved, that he cares for them, that

1199. he's mindful of them. He don't stop with the righteous,

1200. but he'll take the righteous and use the righteous to

1201. bring in the wicked, and so on. Today, I just

1202. want to encourage you, as a body member of VIP,

1203. and I believe everybody in here is a body member

1204. of VIP, that we be steadfast and unmovable, always abounding

1205. in the things in the work of God in this house,

1206. so that we can hold ourselfs accountable to what God

1207. is telling us to do. I tell people all the time,

1208. when I stand before God judgment day, He's not gonna

1209. tell me nothing about none of y'all or nobody else.

1210. The person that made me mad, and I cussed them

1211. if I cussed him, I don't cuss no one. Well,

  1212. I ain't gonna say I don't. No. I accidentally it

1213. wasn't and it wasn't and I know why now. Yeah,

1214. it was a word and it come out and they

1215. come out up minister right and scared me, scared the

1216. mess out of me. I was on the phone who

1217. was on the phone with either to Nick or Shirt,

1218. And I said, oh my cheepers, whoo, God, forgive me,

1219. forgive me, forgive me. No, I'm saying, for real, homeboy,

  1220. it's a whole bunch of stuff. I don't say. No. Yeah,

1221. when it comes to that, uh huh, boy, these lips,

1222. I'll be trying to keep these lips cure who Jesus,

1223. I'm trying to make it in Tyler. I know it

1224. ain't even works indeed, but he caught. Yeah, I got

1225. I got his character in me. Yeah, uh huh. And

1226. I'm just saying that just threw me out. But like

1227. I said, when somebody can see us looking like Christ,

1228. it gives them hope that they can look like Christ too.

1229. And so in my closing, I just want to encourage

1230. you on today to get planet, and when you get planet,

1231. stay planet, and then stay consistent. Let's not start something

1232. and then stop something, start something and then stop some

1233. That's like my diet yo yoing back and forth again.

1234. I say, I can always talk about me up one

1235. minute down, one minute up, one minute down the next minute.

1236. The Bible says that a man that some unstable, he's on,

1237. wavering all his ways, he shouldn't even pray and expect

1238. God to do anything. And you know what, I come

1239. to the reason he shouldn't because he really don't know

1240. what he wants. He always up and down, up and down,

1241. rushing down. And if you ask God for something, wait

1242. a minute, Lord, not that I don't do it this way,

1243. God do it that way. Yeah. Let's stay consistent and

1244. then let our lives speak for us, the way that

1245. we live, the way that we talk to people, the

1246. way that we treat people, being nice, being considerate, being kind,

1247. because you can sometimes be kind and then talk real

1248. nasty to people. My husband say he don't holler at

1249. me all the time, and I don't think he do either.

1250. He just got a loud voice. But I'm quick to

1251. tell look at all his family talking about it, than

1252. all huh, yeah, he is he loud. Yeah, but I

1253. remind him sometimes I'm delicate. Don't holler at me. And

1254. he'll say, He'll say, he not hollering him. Maybe he not. Yes,

  1255. I'm delicate. I am. I might look like a little

1256. rough every now and then. But and you know why

1257. I can say I'm delicate, brother Steve over there, because

1258. when it comes to women, we can sometimes be overly

1259. sensitive and overly emotional. And no, no, no, no, let

1260. me help you. Men don't get Yeah, well, y'all be

1261. reminded of what God said. He knew he was overly sensitive,

1262. overly emotional. Why because He created us this way. So

1263. he said, husbands, Now, if you ain't got a wife,

1264. I'm not talking to you, but you, husbands, love your

1265. wife the way Christ loved the church, because Christ loves unconditionally. No, no, no, no,

1266. you can't take don't take from it. Don't take from it,

1267. just walk in it. That's no no, because I'm just

1268. telling you, I don't believe that the woman is adding.

1269. I believe that the woman is being the woman. And

1270. again we have to remember we're his creation. So he said,

1271. wise and he is, He said, why submit? But it's

1272. hard to submit when you got a rough neck. That's

1273. why he say love them the way that I love

1274. the church. If Jesus came up to me, and I'm

1275. not saying that the men do this, but if he

1276. walked up to anybody a part of the church and

1277. and slap you in the back of your head and say, girl,

1278. go get to that ministry, you're being rough with me. Jesus.

1279. I mean, but because he loves the church, he's what.

  1280. He's gentle, he's patient, he's kind. I'm just saying, loving kindness.

  1281. Have I drowned them? So it's okay, It's okay. I

1282. think I think that's that should be our next conference.

1283. We need a marriage conference. But I think it's beautiful

1284. that God has set it up. God has set it

1285. up to work. If we are but we'll get you

1286. singles later. We'll get you singles later. I believe, we all.

1287. I believe if we walk in this, it changes our

1288. whole course of life. If my marriage exemplifies the marriage

1289. and the Bible, it changes the whole marriage. If my

1290. relationship with people, Minister Wimbline, if my relationship with people

1291. comes from here, it changes the whole way I deal

1292. with people. And I'm just being honest. The majority of

1293. us don't live according to the way the world calls

1294. us to live. We live according to what we think

1295. and how we feel. And if we don't move our

1296. feelings and our emotions and what we think and then

1297. put the word in place, that's why it's so hard

1298. for us sometimes and again. I can always say me first,

1299. because I know me, and sometimes I have to check myself.

1300. That's why I tell the Lord creating me a clean

1301. heart daily, because daily I need God's help. I need

1302. God's help to submit. I need God's help to not

1303. get angry. I need God's help to not walk in bitterness.

1304. I need God's help to walk in love. It ain't

1305. nothing I can do without God. And every time I

1306. get outside of God's will, it's because I was doing

1307. what I wanted to do. And so not to pick

1308. on either gender, but to remind us all. The first

1309. thing I heard when I started reading the Bible was

  1310. what it was called b I b l E. Basic

1311. instructions before leaving this earth. And for these to be

1312. basic instructions, a whole lot of us don't even follow them.

1313. We still following our own rule. Books. So even on today,

1314. because I'm finna sit down, know that as you grow

1315. and know that you're growth starts here. That's again why

1316. it's so important that we don't just hear the word,

1317. but we be doers of the word. People say, just

1318. don't listen to it. Do it. The Word comes in

1319. this house strong and heaven. And if we'll allow the

1320. word to do what the Word has come to do,

1321. we'll all be some different people. And I don't mean

1322. difference is changing, because maybe all of us don't need

1323. to change, but we all need to grow. And as

1324. we continue to grow, we grow closer to God. And

1325. so with the Word being sharper than the two edges

1326. sword cutting even to the asunda, it can cut away

1327. some of that stuff that we have in us and

1328. help us to walk them what God has called us

1329. to walk in. Help us to go out to the

1330. highways and the byways and compel men, women and children

1331. to come. Help us to call the needy. And I'm

1332. telling y'all, I just believe that as we align with God,

1333. God is going to open up an avenue for us

1334. to be able to do His kingdom work in this neighborhood.

1335. When we got to the apartment complex over there, pastor

1336. More overseer More was praying, And when he got through praying,

1337. I could hear the Lord say, I'll give you this

1338. territory for you. That's why we have to keep going.

1339. If he gives us the territory, it's not like I said,

1340. for us to boast and brag about it, or for

1341. us to say, well, we went over there and these people. No,

1342. it's for his glory because there's somebody over there that

1343. God wants to save. If Jesus would leave the ninety

1344. nine just to go back and get one, surely God

1345. has somebody over there that he's trying to draw in.

1346. So as we continue to work the mission and the

1347. vision of this house, my prayer is just we would

1348. be encouraged by one another to get out and do it,

1349. to follow the leader the game we used to play

1350. when we was kids. Yeah, we might not have the

1351. hopscotch and do a whole bunch of others, but let's

1352. follow him. We know, as hard as for the people,

1353. our hearts should be for the people. We should have

1354. the same heart. He got again. I said, I've been

1355. here twenty years. I should look like him, not physically

1356. but spiritually. Yeah. I remember when I first started going

1357. to churches bringing the Word, they would tell me that

1358. I reminded them of the late Lady Moore why she

1359. was my mentor. So it should be that way with

1360. all of us. We all need to look at like

1361. we're family. At this time, I'm going to open up

1362. the altar and so if anybody wants prayer, the altar

1363. is open. Maybe you praying for strength to God to

1364. help you to do the work that He's called you

1365. to do. Prayer warriors. Maybe you're praying that God would

1366. help you to be more in the community, do more

1367. in the community. And I don't just mean
