  1. On this Father's day, if you return with me to Luke,

  2. the fifteenth chapter will begin reading at the eleventh verse.

  3. Be a familiar passage to a lot of us, and

  4. to those of you that may not know, I encourage

  5. you to go read it for yourself.

  6. It's nothing like knowing the word of God for yourself

  7. a man.

  8. And when you have it, saying man Luke Chapter fifteen,

  9. beginning at verse eleven man, and it reads, and he

  10. said A certain man had two sons, And the younger

  11. of them said to his father, father, give me the

  12. portion of goods that fall into me, and he divided

  13. unto them his living. And not many days after, the

  14. younger son gathered all together and took his journey into

  15. a far country. And they're wasted his substance with riots

  16. of living. And when he had spent all their rods

  17. of mighty famine in that land, and he began to

  18. be in want. And he went and joined himself to

  19. a citizen of that country, and sent him into his

  20. fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled

  21. his belly with the husk that the swine did eat.

  22. And no man gave unto him. And when he came

  23. to himself. He said, how many hired servants of my

  24. fathers have bred enough and to spare, and I perish

  25. with hunger. I will arise and go to my father,

  26. and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against

  27. heaven and before thee, and am no more worthy to

  28. be called thy son. Make me as one of thy

  29. hired servants. And he arose and came to his father.

  30. But when he was yet a great way off, his

  31. father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell

  32. on his neck and kissed him. And the son said,

  33. unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in

  34. thy sight, and I'm no more worthy to be called

  35. thy son. But the father said to his servants, bring

  36. forth the best robe and put it on him, and

  37. put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.

  38. May God out a blessed to the readers here, and

  39. do us of his word. We'll stop there. There's a

  40. few more verses that go with them, but keeping in

  41. line with what today is Father's Day, we'll speak to

  42. the father's But I believe this message will cover everyone.

  43. So if I can speak to you for a moment,

  44. a brief topic would be a father's love a father's love. So,

  45. now before I get into these verses, I would like

  46. to share with you for a moment and ask what

  47. is a father? What is the importance of a father?

  48. What impact does a father have on his home and

  49. on his children. When you look up the definition of

  50. the word father, the dictionary defines it as a man

  51. providing care or exercising.

  52. Influence or authority like that of a male parent.

  53. Now, the dictionary gives many different definitions, but I chose

  54. this one because some men are fathers or all the

  55. figures to children that they did not biologically give birth to.

  56. A father is important because they are crucial to a child's.

  57. Development, and their involvement brings a different aspect to the

  58. home than what the mother does. But just like the mother,

  59. the father loves just as much. The father oftentimes can

  60. set the example of what a daughter looks for in

  61. a man. The father can set the example of what

  62. the son may emulate and try to grow up to be.

  63. A father sets the example in his home of what

  64. a good, godly man should be and what he should

  65. stand for. A father sets the standard for what we

  66. should look forward to and strive to be like. When

  67. we seek out different relationships. Oftentimes, as I said, young

  68. ladies want a man that reminds them of their father

  69. or the father figure that reminds them of their father.

  70. Because oftentimes as the son grows up, he learns also

  71. how to treat others based on how he sees his.

  72. Father's relationships with others.

  73. So what makes this story of the prodigal son a

  74. story that shows a father's love.

  75. Well, I'm glad you asked.

  76. This story is going to show us the unconditional love

  77. of father has. It would show us the patience a

  78. father has with his son. It would show us the

  79. grace that our father extends, and it will show us

  80. the restoration that a father can also give. So as

  81. these verses open up, we find that the youngest son

  82. has approached the father. Now he's approached him asking him

  83. for his inheritance. He is approaching his father as asking

  84. him to divide unto him all that he has coming

  85. to him. Now here's the problem with that question, though,

  86. because see in that day in time, by the Mosaic law,

  87. by him coming and asking his father to divide to

  88. him his goods, he was going against the law because

  89. normally you didn't go ask your father for anything, because

  90. you didn't get to the inheritance until the patriarch had died.

  91. So basically, what you're saying to your father is I

  92. wish you were dead so that I could get what

  93. is Rifley coming to me? How many of us sometimes

  94. have been approached by our children and ask questions, and

  95. they're asking for things that we know they are not

  96. quite ready for yet. But being that unconditional love that

  97. we have within us, sometimes we stand back and say,

  98. I know they not ready for him, but I'm gonna

  99. let them experience it for themselves anyway. Hmm.

  100. Now, the youngest son.

  101. Really did not look at the disrespect that he's showing

  102. here by asking for that inheritance.

  103. So even though he asked.

  104. The Bible to say, he divided amongst them. Now I

  105. must just pause right there for a minute. What I

  106. liked about is even though the son was out of order,

  107. the father wasn't out of order. And how he divided

  108. it because he said he gave it to them, So

  109. he still gave to the oldest verse, but he gave

  110. to what the son felt he had coming. Now, as

  111. I said, it was culturally and morally the equivalent of

  112. wishing his father was dead. He was demanding his share

  113. of the estate before it was due.

  114. Under ancient and.

  115. Middle Eastern Mosaic law, then inheritance was only to be

  116. distributed at death. So he's telling his father, I want

  117. the benefits of you being gone, is if you are

  118. not here, I want the benefits of you being gone.

  119. But you yet alive.

  120. So now I can just imagine in my mind that

  121. the father is stepping back, saying, you have the unmitigated

  122. gad to come before me, asking for something that you

  123. have not.

  124. Even yet quite earned.

  125. But yet you want to get everything that you have

  126. coming to you, to venture out.

  127. Into a world that you know nothing about.

  128. Because I'm pretty sure the young man has never left

  129. home before him. I'm sure he has never experienced the

  130. things that he is about to get ready to go

  131. face him. But the father steps back and says to him,

  132. you know what, because you are asking, I'm gonna let

  133. you get a taste of what it is that.

  134. You're not right, quitit ready for him.

  135. Have you ever said to your children, don't get in

  136. such a big heroy to grow up. No, don't don't

  137. get in such a big herod that you want to

  138. get out here and experience this world that you know

  139. nothing about.

  140. Because I guarantee you see you thinking.

  141. You looking at the word from the standpoint of what

  142. your parents are doing for you. You looking at the

  143. word from the standpoint of the convenience that.

  144. You have at your home.

  145. You looking at the word from the safety and the

  146. shelter that you are having at home. You looking at

  147. the word from the standpoint that has been provided for you,

  148. the safety that your father and mother may give to you.

  149. Hmm, A father's love.

  150. So I'm sure against his better judgment, now he honors

  151. his requests.

  152. Now I know as many fathers as I.

  153. Said before, you've told your children, huh you sure you

  154. sure you won't what you're asking for? Well, yes, it's

  155. a cold, cold world out there, you know. When you

  156. get out there on your own and some bills start

  157. coming in your name and you got the answer for

  158. things for yourself, and you can no longer call and

  159. lean and depend on father and mother to bear you

  160. out of every situation.

  161. Because you wanted.

  162. To be big enough and bold enough and brave enough,

  163. and you thought you were.

  164. Ready for this world. Whooh, okay, now, but I'd like

  165. to say this.

  166. But the same way that this father has been questioned

  167. about the inheritance of his son, and his son father

  168. knew he wasn't ready. It's the same thing that our father,

  169. which is in heaven, looks at us when we come

  170. before him with some of these requests and asking him

  171. for things that he.

  172. Knows we are not quite ready for.

  173. I can only imagine our father stepping back saying, you

  174. asking me.

  175. For it, but you're really not ready for him.

  176. But I'm an honor your request and give to you

  177. so that you can see that it wasn't your time and.

  178. That you didn't needed right now.

  179. Now, this is how we know that he wasn't ready

  180. for it, because shortly after this says now, the Bible

  181. tells us that it did not take loan for this

  182. youngest son.

  183. He gathered up all his belongings.

  184. Now I can just imagine him going to his room

  185. and he taking everything that the father then provided.

  186. He's gathering up everything that the father gave to him.

  187. But the scripture says that he gathered up all his belongings,

  188. but his belongings have been provided to him by his father,

  189. So he's gathering up everything that he has and now

  190. it says he's getting ready to leave and travel off

  191. into a far country, and the scripture says he began

  192. to waste everything that he had. You know what I

  193. got to thinking in my mind, is you ever had

  194. a lot of money in your pocket and people don't

  195. want a fool, which is to your guy, some men

  196. in your pocket. So he didne got out in this world.

  197. And I can imagine people that clung to him and

  198. they like, oh, he a big spender. He got all

  199. this money, So let us hang on to his coattail

  200. for a minute. Let's see what he gonna give us.

  201. Let's see what he can provide for us. But as

  202. soon as he ran out of everything that he had,

  203. because the scripture says, he wasted what it was that

  204. he had. This is why I'm sure the father didn't

  205. want him to get out there.

  206. Because he ain't never experienced nothing before him.

  207. I remember when I was younger and got ready to

  208. leave and go into the military. Oh I could not

  209. wait to get away from home. Oh I ain't got

  210. to be up under my parents no more. I ain't

  211. got to do what they say no more. I can

  212. live my life the way that I wanted to live in.

  213. But I found.

  214. Myself shortly after calling back home saying, please pray for me,

  215. because I wasn't ready for what I thought it was

  216. that I wanted to be a part of. And when

  217. I got out there on my own, I realized that

  218. the world didn't care about me. The world didn't hold me,

  219. no favors. Got a brother's love.

  220. Oh, he allowed him to go out there. Hm.

  221. Now, after the son gathered up everything he owned, the

  222. father didn't chase after him, but I'm sure he saw

  223. him off. I'm sure he prayed for him. I'm sure

  224. he wished him well on his journey, and I'm sure

  225. in his heart he hoped that he would be successful.

  226. In his journey.

  227. He allowed him to make his own choices while still

  228. leaving room for redemption. Because fathers understand the pain of

  229. watching our children make difficult decisions, but at the same time,

  230. we hope that they will return wiser and stronger and

  231. learn from whatever it is that they may go face.

  232. But as we read this story, we know that he

  233. did not.

  234. Make wise choices, because the Bible says he spent everything

  235. he had right after he did. The Bible tells us

  236. what who are great family. So I didn't prepare. I

  237. didn't prepare for what might be ahead. I didn't put

  238. nothing aside because I thought I knew it all, because

  239. I wanted it all. See, I want to bypass my

  240. father's instructions and go take everything I had and get

  241. out here in the world and live as if tomorrow

  242. was never coming.

  243. But see now that you didn spend it everything you had.

  244. It says a famine that came in the lab And

  245. now the famine that came you ain't got nothing.

  246. You're broken, you'll bust it. You're down on your luck.

  247. You out there on your own, your homeless right now.

  248. And now it's as that you have to go join yourself.

  249. To a citizen of that country.

  250. So now he goes and join himself to a man

  251. that put him to work.

  252. So now you broke you home, great, and you got

  253. to put to work.

  254. But even when you got put to work, you're still

  255. didn't get nothing to eat, because the Bible says that

  256. he would have loved to eat what it was that

  257. he was feeding his wine.

  258. Now I was looking at this. Now.

  259. The Bible doesn't tell us how long the prodigal.

  260. Son has been gone, But in my mind I.

  261. Can't help but wonder how many nights the father was

  262. weared about him, and how many nights he wondered what

  263. he was doing, and if he wondered, was he in

  264. need of anything? I wonder in my mind if the

  265. father sat back, and I'm sure he wondered what was

  266. He's safe from all hurt, harm and danger.

  267. But even on the scripture does not say this.

  268. I know from just being a father, I worry about

  269. my children daily, and I pray that they make good

  270. decisions and that they are safe because of the love

  271. that this father has. I'm sure he was wear it,

  272. but also wanted his son to come back home. See

  273. a parent. This is the thing about a parent. This

  274. is I tell children all the time. You gotta be

  275. careful the way you leave, because one day you might

  276. have to come back. Be careful of the bridges that

  277. you burn the day, because you might have to cross

  278. back over them. Be careful of what it is that

  279. you stand up and you ask for too soon, and

  280. how you ask for it, because you may not get

  281. the chance or the opportunity to come back.

  282. Now.

  283. The Bible goes on to tell us that the prodigal

  284. son fail all these challenges that have now arose, and

  285. the Bible says what he finally he came to himself.

  286. Oh man, how many of you have been out here

  287. in this world wondering. How many of you have gone

  288. down some paths that you know you wasn't supposed to

  289. go down. How many of you have made some choices

  290. and some decisions on your own that you did not seek.

  291. God for him.

  292. How many of you said, I can do this all

  293. by myself. I can do this. It's because of me

  294. that I'm making this happen. How many of you thought

  295. that it was everything that you had in your life

  296. right now is a result of everything that you did.

  297. But all but it says, but when he came to itself.

  298. See, that's the same thing our father wanted us to do,

  299. is to realize that you got to come to yourself

  300. and come to your senses and realize that you ain't

  301. got nothing to do with you because everything that you have,

  302. it's because the grace of God has the extended tord him.

  303. If it wasn't for the.

  304. Grace of God, you wouldn't be able to move this money.

  305. If it wasn't for the grace of God, you wouldn't

  306. have got out of bath this morning. If it wasn't

  307. for the grace of God, you wouldn't have made at.

  308. Your church this morning.

  309. If it wasn't for the grace of God, you wouldn't

  310. have had the activities off your limbs. If it wasn't

  311. for the grace of God, you wouldn't have walked up

  312. y'all home this morning, if it wasn't for grace. Yes,

  313. So now I mentioned earlier that he was wearing. The

  314. father was worried because he loved his son, and I'm

  315. sure he was missing him. Now the son has finally

  316. came to himself. Let me back up a minute, and

  317. he said, now, now that he's come to himself, he

  318. realized I asked for everything. I squandered away everything. I

  319. have nothing right now. I'm working feeding pigs and swine.

  320. But how many of my.

  321. Father's servants have bread to eat?

  322. And my father, who is still plentiful, my father who

  323. is still rich, my father who is still mighty, how much.

  324. Does he still have yet to spare?

  325. And I'm sitting out here feeding the swine and the pigs,

  326. the huss and I can't even eat what it is

  327. today eating. I'm out here suffering. But my father has

  328. everything that he.

  329. Needs in his house.

  330. Because in my father's house are many mansions. If it

  331. were not so, I wouldn't have told you.

  332. So.

  333. Now he's come to himself, and now he realized, Let

  334. me get up from this state of mind and this

  335. situation that I'm in, and let me turn around and

  336. start heading back home. See, God is looking for you

  337. to turn around and start heading back home. Now watch this,

  338. Watch this, Watch this now. The Bible says that when

  339. the sun was yet a great way off. See this

  340. is the part I like right here. See it says

  341. when he was a great way off, he saw him.

  342. Now, when he saw.

  343. Him, he didn't wait for him to get close to him.

  344. He didn't wait for him to come knock on the door.

  345. It says that he left about the house. I can

  346. see him looking right now. Is that my poor who

  347. left not too long ago?

  348. Is that my son? Is that him in the distance

  349. right there?

  350. Oh? Let me leave on up about this house and

  351. go meet my son. See right now, let me tell

  352. you what has befel the father. That father's love has

  353. taken over him and the compassion has taken over because

  354. it says he ran out and he met his son

  355. with compassion, and I can just imagine him hugging him, saying,

  356. thank you for coming home. I'm glad you made it back.

  357. I'm glad that you came to your senses. I'm glad

  358. that you didn't stay after no longer. But the reason

  359. why we know he was happy to see him is

  360. because watch. Yes, it says out he came back, says

  361. he put a ring on his finger, he put a

  362. roll on his back, he put shoes on his feet,

  363. and he threw a celebration for him. But you know

  364. what the father didn't do. Wash He didn't talk about him.

  365. He didn't ridiculee him. He didn't make him feel bad.

  366. He didn't scold him for what he had done. He

  367. didn't say I told you so. He didn't say you

  368. should have listened. He didn't say you shouldn't have did it.

  369. He said, come on back, son, I'm welcoming you with

  370. open arm. It's the same thing the father wants.

  371. To do with us.

  372. When you come to your sensor. He's looking for you

  373. and saying, is that my child? Are they on their

  374. way back? And when he sees you a far he's

  375. gonna fall upon your neck, and he got compassion for you.

  376. He gonna love on you.

  377. Oh man, watch this. This is what I love about God.

  378. No matter how far you straight from God, watch this

  379. the return trip.

  380. It's one step away. See that's the thing.

  381. You could have strayed a million miles away. But one

  382. step it will bring you back into his vision. One

  383. step would bring you back into his arms. One step

  384. would bring your closer to God who one step away.

  385. So so now he'd have ran out in minutes. So

  386. he done fell on them with compassion, places a ring

  387. on his finger. He didn't talk about him, He didn't

  388. make him regret this decisions. The good thing about it is,

  389. watched this the father receive him with love, with love.

  390. Now I can only speak for me as a father.

  391. I can't say I'd always been the best. When my

  392. kids come back after making what I felt a fool

  393. of themselves, I can't say that when they came back,

  394. I ain't said I told you so. I can't say

  395. when they came back and said that if you listened

  396. to me, this wouldn't have happened.

  397. I can't say I have done that.

  398. But oh, but I serve a God, Oh who keeps

  399. no record I serve a God that don't hold it

  400. against you.

  401. I serve a God.

  402. Then when you realize it's time to come home, he

  403. forgives you. It says, he casts it in the sea.

  404. What forgiven it? So if God can forget, who am

  405. I to forgive and forget?

  406. Because greater is He that is in me and he

  407. that is in the world. So I have to learn

  408. to be.

  409. Compassionate with my children because the Father shows us what love,

  410. conditional love is. The Father shows us that no matter

  411. how many times we fall down, if we just say, Lord,

  412. help me, he will be good up. The Lord does

  413. not want you to stay in your situation. He don't

  414. want you to stay in a destitute state of mind.

  415. He don't want you to continue to suffer. He wants

  416. you to be know that he is God. See the

  417. Bible tells me that I can do all things through

  418. Christ because He is my strength. And if I acknowledge

  419. Him in all my ways, he will direct my path.

  420. So if he's the director of my path.

  421. As that love I got to show, I got to

  422. welcome you back with open on God.

  423. That's the same way that he welcomes you back. That's

  424. the same love.

  425. That he gives you every day, even when he's shaking

  426. his head as you're saying, you knew better than what

  427. you was doing. Why did you get up and do

  428. it again? And then you're gonna come back and cry

  429. to me. But let me tell you something about repentance.

  430. Repentance ain't when you cry, but it's when you change. See,

  431. you got to change when you come up forre God,

  432. you got to know that I'm not gonna do this

  433. no more. You got to know that I'm gonna turn

  434. from my wicked ways. I've come to myself. And now God,

  435. I'm saying, forgive me, forgive me for transgressing against you,

  436. forgive me for not.

  437. Staying in your grace. Now. Now, he didnet gave a

  438. son the road, He gave his son the ring.

  439. He didn't gave his son to shoes, and he said

  440. he didn't just say get a calf, He say get

  441. the fatty calf. Whoo. So they tell me that you

  442. fiz the feast that you fish to eat real good.

  443. And you know what, and seeing what that reminds me

  444. of is the Lord say he'll prepare a table.

  445. He'll prepare prepare a table for you. So now he didn't.

  446. He didn't got the fattest I mean, the featish.

  447. Pig, and he roasted him. And can't you just imagine

  448. he's sitting down. I'm sure he got all the trimmings.

  449. See.

  450. God wants to put before you everything that you need,

  451. but he can't put it before you until you turn

  452. to come back.

  453. See, God wants to bless you abundantly. You know. I

  454. tell people all the time.

  455. I can't tell God what to do, but I can

  456. hold him to his word. And in his word, he said,

  457. if I ask, it shall be given. If I seek,

  458. I shall find. If I knock, the door will be open.

  459. So I say, Lord, that's your word. You told me

  460. that you cannot lie, So I'm gonna hold you to

  461. your word. You said that I am not a lender.

  462. I mean I'm a lender, not a borrower. So Lord,

  463. if you tell me that I am the lenda, that

  464. mean you got some riches stored up for me. That

  465. mean you got some riches untold that I don't know

  466. that I need. Because I can hold him to his word,

  467. I can hold God to say, but this is the thing.

  468. But even though I hold him to his word, it

  469. comes in his time, not my time. See, you can't

  470. tell God win the blessing. But oh, I'm so glad

  471. to say. He may not come when your wounding, but

  472. it is always on time. They tell me that weeping

  473. may endure for a night, but joy is gonna come

  474. in the morning. And see, because we serve a God

  475. that loves us. So just like this prodigal son who

  476. he welcomed back here and didn't ask no questions, I will, Father,

  477. Let's show him how much he loved us that he

  478. saw that we needed his son to come down from heaven.

  479. So I can just imagine the Father that the love

  480. he has for us, he sent his son to a

  481. world that received him.

  482. Not.

  483. The Bible tells me that he came down to forty

  484. two generations. The Bible tells me that he walked the

  485. dusty streets. The Bible tells me that he healed the

  486. sick and he raised the dead. Who is this son

  487. that I'm talking about?

  488. His name is.

  489. Gee, a wonderful counselor Jesus, my princal Peace, Jesus, my

  490. long is suffering. Jesus everything that I need. Jesus came

  491. and he walked these dusty streets, and the Bible tells

  492. me that he did no wrong. He did no wrong,

  493. but yet they still condemned him to die.

  494. You mean to.

  495. Tell me that Jesus saw that we needed his help

  496. and came down and took off his glory to come

  497. down so he can help us in our story. You

  498. mean to tell me that Jesus was condemned to die.

  499. You mean to tell me that they.

  500. Passed him through a cornable pills and condemned him to

  501. die by way I say it was prosecuting him. You

  502. mean r tell me the Bible tells me that he

  503. was beaten.

  504. With many stripes.

  505. You mean to tell me that the Bible said they

  506. nailed him in his hands, and they nailed them in

  507. his feeding me. But see the mistake they made was

  508. after they kneled. It says that they lifted him mother,

  509. And the Bible tells me, if I we'll be lifted up,

  510. I'll draw all men.

  511. I'mto me. You mean to tell me that as they hung.

  512. Him on the cross, the Bible tells me he never

  513. said a mumbling word.

  514. You mean to tell me.

  515. That while he was hanging on the cross, he was

  516. still healing and saving souls.

  517. You mean to tell me.

  518. He told the thief this day you'll be with me

  519. in paradise.

  520. You mean or tell me that they pierced my.

  521. Singer in his side, and blood and water came streaming down.

  522. You mean to tell me that he never said a

  523. mumbling word. But it tells me that he hung there

  524. from the sixth to the ninth hour. And then they

  525. took my rocca and placed them inside of a rocker.

  526. And then they laid my roca on top of a rocker.

  527. And then they rolled a rocker in front of a rocker.

  528. And then my rock laid down for three days and

  529. for three nights.

  530. But they say early Ireland.

  531. Thursday morning, my rocker set up on the rocker, took

  532. off his.

  533. Brand clothes, folded him up and set him to the side.

  534. Then my rocker rolled away the rocker. And then my

  535. rocker stepped.

  536. Up out the rock and became the rock of agents.

  537. He became my chief cornerstone. He became Solomon's lily away

  538. down in the valley, he became my bread. In a

  539. starving land, he became down your stone, hewed out the mountain,

  540. he became in secause will in the middle of a will,

  541. he became my leader kame.

  542. When I get a weaker. He became my doctor in

  543. a sick room, my lawyer in a court roll.

  544. Oh, he became everything that I knew. A father's love,

  545. a father's love, a father would become everything he needs

  546. to be for his children. And oftentime it's men hold

  547. on the so much. We bury so much because of

  548. the love that we have. We love differently than to

  549. say our mother's doing. But that don't make our love

  550. any less. A father's love will extend through time and

  551. the eternity. A father's love it saves. A father love

  552. welcomes you back. A father love caresses you. A father's

  553. love holds you in his arms and tells you that

  554. it's gonna be all right.

  555. A father's love will let you know that.

  556. Don't stay down, get on the Nothing beats a failure

  557. but a try. One of the things that this story

  558. also shows us is watch this is that failure is

  559. not final, because when you come to your senses, you

  560. don't have to stay in that dad enroll that you

  561. was on. You just get up. In return, the Bible

  562. tells us that when pe people get saved, the angels rejoice.

  563. I believe they rejoice when we come back in repentance

  564. as well, because the enemy no longer has you.

  565. You belong to the Father who loves you unconditionally.

  566. But you gotta know that, you know, you gotta know that,

  567. you know that you can't make it without the Lord.

  568. You know. I tell everybody all the time.

  569. The only difference between me and some people is I

  570. ain't get caught. It's serious, because Lord knows. If it

  571. wasn't for the grace of God, ain't no telling where

  572. I'd be. You know, I was always perceived as this

  573. church kid growing up, But Lord knows, I had my

  574. hand in the little of everything, you know.

  575. But I was just good at hiding. You know.

  576. I could give an appearance. But see, God is not

  577. after appearances. He's after the truth. He's after your heart.

  578. He's after the true integrity of who you are. So, fathers,

  579. I say this to you, continue to be a man

  580. of standing, Continue to be a man of integral. Continue

  581. to be the men that set examples to give someone

  582. to look up to. Continue to be the men that

  583. gods men and women out of situations that they are in.

  584. That you see that's leading to a dead end.

  585. Don't encourage mischief don't say all you'll get it right eventually.

  586. My dad used to tell me, just because I fell

  587. in this hole don't mean you can fall in the

  588. same one and come out the same.

  589. Way I did. And I had to learn that in

  590. life because I.

  591. Fail a few times and I came out with a

  592. whole bunch of bumps, bruises and scrapes. But he walked

  593. away because see, it's different for everybody. So don't think

  594. because one person got past it meaning you gonna be

  595. able to suffer the same thingith It don't work the

  596. same for everybody. You know, and I share this is

  597. because of this. For the one moment that you decide

  598. to stray away from God, what if you don't get

  599. that opportunity to come back, then all all you have

  600. done has just been a waste. You straight away trying

  601. to get that last little glimpse of what this world

  602. got to offer you. See the thing about Satan is this.

  603. See Satan ain't got no new tactics. He ain't got

  604. no new tricks. He just dressed it up a little

  605. pretty and he show it to you a little bit different.

  606. That's why I laugh when the world depicts him with

  607. this red suit on and these horns you forget. He

  608. was once an angel, so he was beautiful. So he

  609. gonna present it to you in a way that's partially right.

  610. He gonna give you a partial this, but he ain't.

  611. Gonna tell you what's gonna happen if he ain't gonna

  612. tell you the whole truth.

  613. Because see, what he wants to do is to get

  614. you back.

  615. So when he gets you back, he hoping that you

  616. don't get a chance to ever come to your senses

  617. and come back.

  618. A father's love, a father's love.

  619. Continue to love because our father, he'll say, for God

  620. so loved the world that he gave you, and he

  621. continues to give to us every day. So our father,

  622. who's rich and mercy and love, loves us, so we have.

  623. To continue to show that same love. Amen.
