  1. Thinking about when I got up this morning I was

  2. I always watched the BBC the animal channel and as

  3. I was watching these coyotes oh we're going to read

  4. scripture man and I'm going to let y'all my scripture

  5. for today if y'all want to go with me I'm

  6. going to come from.

  7. Philippians 4 and.

  8. 8 and I'm going to y'all know me I'm going

  9. to talk for a minute then we're going to get

  10. into this because I want to explain to you what's

  11. what Philippians 4 and 8 is about.

  12. Amen.

  13. It's Philippians 4 and 8 and it reads, find it

  14. brothers whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are honest Whatsoever

  15. things are just, whatsoever things are pure. Whatsoever things are lovely,

  16. whatsoever things are good, report. If there be any virtue

  17. and if there be any praise, think on these things.

  18. Amen. You may be seated. Amen. Amen. So, If I had.

  19. To title this, I would title this, watch this, because

  20. I know it's a lot going on. A lot of

  21. things are popping off. A lot of things are headed

  22. in the wrong direction. Watch this, in my life and yours.

  23. Sometimes we have a tendency to get off track. So

  24. I want to, if I had to title this, I

  25. would title Philippians.

  26. 4 and 8 is focus. Focus. Focus.

  27. See, sometimes we can lose track of what really is,

  28. as Jane Brown say, focus.

  29. It is what it is.

  30. And so I want to come and share a word

  31. with you today about maintaining your focus.

  32. Maintain your focus.

  33. And as you see in Philippians, it says, finally, brother,

  34. whatsoever things are true, See a lot of times we

  35. have people sharing showing and telling and presenting things that

  36. look true. We have people that's good at manipulation. We

  37. have people that's good at tickling your fantasies. Y'all know

  38. I ain't got it all together.

  39. Y'all just pray for me. Y'all pray for me.

  40. But in other words, what I'm saying is we have

  41. a lot of, and the Bible speaks of false prophets

  42. and they speak of hypocrites and you know all of

  43. these people, right? So today I want to make sure

  44. we're not in that number. We'll make sure you stay focused.

  45. And not get caught up.

  46. Because I don't have to be.

  47. Where she at. I can just believe what she say.

  48. Watch this y'all. And then go tell it to somebody else.

  49. And not knowing. It's not true. It sound good. It

  50. feel good. It smells good. But it's not true. And

  51. so now I fall into the category false witness. And

  52. those should not enter the kingdom. A liar should not enter.

  53. So I got to be careful of whatever Brother Tim

  54. tells me.

  55. I got to.

  56. Weigh it by Philippians 4 and 8. So I can stand.

  57. So it says. Whatsoever is true. Whatsoever things are honest.

  58. Now sometimes. We know it's honest. But we like to

  59. twist it every now and then. So it'll fit better.

  60. It's honest. You don't like it. But it's honest. So

  61. we'll do something like. You won't surely. Will you?

  62. We'll add a word or two in there. We'll keep

  63. it honest, but then we'll add a little. Okay, y'all

  64. know what I'm talking about then. It ain't really going

  65. to be that.

  66. Bad, is it?

  67. He knows my heart. He's still working on me. We

  68. know you ain't supposed to be doing that but he's still.

  69. See the honest part is you know. And we know

  70. we are product unfinished so you ain't got to tell

  71. me he working on you because in Christ Jesus you

  72. are complete. But now if he working on you you

  73. need to go back to the drawing board. If he

  74. working on, watch this here. He not even concerned about

  75. your outside appearance. He's concerned about your inward becoming. So,

  76. even though we sound good, look good, look good because

  77. we study all the time. Man, every chance I get,

  78. I'm in my book. Every chance I get, when you see.

  79. Me, I'm in, I'm in, I'm in. Okay, cool. But

  80. what is the outcome of it? Now, I don't knock nobody.

  81. Y'all hear this on Facebook because I know I'm proud

  82. to catch a lot of slack. They won't hit me

  83. up on my phone, but I go a lot of places.

  84. I be around a lot of people.

  85. I understand you dedicated to what you do. Your word.

  86. But sometimes I think you can get so caught up

  87. on your word. Watch this.

  88. And get so into your word that you don't allow

  89. word that you have.

  90. Take root yet.

  91. Because you're constantly planting seeds on top of seeds on

  92. top of seeds on top of seeds.

  93. And you're choking out what God wants you to get

  94. out of it.

  95. Because you never stop long enough for your seed to

  96. become a harvest.

  97. Oh, y'all ain't going to talk back to me.

  98. So in other words, what I'm telling you is you

  99. got too much knowledge. You got too much knowledge, watch this,

  100. and no understanding that allow you to have wisdom to

  101. apply what you got. That's the reason you're flexuous. Because

  102. you never give yourself enough time to grow. You're studying

  103. trying to build and even Jesus Went to sleep every

  104. now and then. Even Jesus rested.

  105. You won't give your mind time to calculate.

  106. Or assess what God is pouring into you. So somebody say,

  107. stay focused. You are getting so busy that you ain't

  108. accomplishing anything because you can't stay.

  109. Watch this here.

  110. Anytime you doing a whole punch, that tells me you

  111. ain't focused on nothing.

  112. Because when you trying to focus on something, watch this.

  113. The Bible is our path.

  114. You ain't got to know every scripture from Genesis to Revelation.

  115. You need to find you a scripture. Watch this, y'all.

  116. And focus on that.

  117. And the more you focus on that in Genesis, God

  118. will reveal something to you over in Romans.

  119. I'm not telling you not to study. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

  120. I'm asking you to give yourself time to learn what

  121. you study.

  122. Okay?

  123. So, y'all, that ain't even my message. I'm just right

  124. here right now. I'm going to go to the message

  125. in a minute. But I know this is good to me.

  126. And it says, things don't adjust. Whatsoever things are pure.

  127. So watch this. We all have good intentions. But sometimes

  128. we have a tendency took the whale on the negative

  129. more than the positive. Because the negative weigh more than

  130. the positive. As a matter of fact, you don't even

  131. feel the weight of the positive. You feel all the.

  132. Weight of the negative. You know why? Because positive is

  133. what you're looking for.

  134. But you don't know how much it weighs until you

  135. thoroughly examine it. You ain't even got to examine the

  136. negative Woe is me.

  137. Golly, man. Man, the devil be is it.

  138. All you got to do is know one button come

  139. off the suit and now.

  140. You toe up.

  141. All you got to know is one hour wasn't on

  142. your paycheck and now you distorted. Hey, give me my money.

  143. You hollering and screaming. What about them hours they paid you?

  144. Watch this. And you wasn't doing nothing while you was

  145. on the....

  146. Girl, I ain't do nothing today. I just sit there

  147. all day, girl, and they gave me all my time.

  148. Okay.

  149. So you focus, you talk about the positive, but you

  150. never do.

  151. This negative stuff over here is what you holler about.

  152. Because see, God is like this.

  153. If you focus on me, I will make sure everything

  154. you need.

  155. Seek ye first. Put your focus on, seek ye first.

  156. Look for me. Watch this.

  157. When in the morning, when you get up and get

  158. ready to go in your mirror room, You ought to

  159. want to see God first before you see you.

  160. He say seek me first. You worried about what your

  161. eyelashes look like.

  162. You worried about what they going to say about you.

  163. But we forget that Whatsoever things are pure. We forget

  164. that we're made in his image and his likeness. But

  165. you're seeking approval of you. And then we're reminded in

  166. the days of Noah to where God looked down and said, man,

  167. I repented, I made him.

  168. You know why?

  169. Because he didn't see none of his image out there.

  170. Y'all ain't going to talk back to him. He didn't

  171. see nothing look like him. He didn't see nothing had

  172. the love that he had. He didn't see nothing that

  173. cured like he cured. He didn't see nothing that understood

  174. like he understood. He didn't see none of that. So

  175. he said, man, I repented.

  176. I even made him.

  177. So he destroyed what he thought was going to be him.

  178. He said, I made you in my image and my likeness.

  179. That means, watch this, y'all. That means you got to

  180. have his character. You know what he want to see?

  181. He want to see his character. He don't want to

  182. see you fumbling around. He don't want to see you

  183. having bad thoughts. He don't want to read your mind

  184. and you having these bad thoughts.

  185. That's not his character. You holding grudges? That's not his character.

  186. Somebody say, stay focused. Okay, now we're going to get

  187. into the message. Okay, so I was.

  188. Thinking, that was a pretty good opening though, I like that. Listen,

  189. I was thinking about Lot's wife.

  190. And when God, see I want to say this first.

  191. See when God get ready to do something in your life,

  192. Don't try to stop it. When God gets ready to

  193. exchange your earthly life for a eternal life, get out

  194. the way. Even though we are still here on earth,

  195. we reside in heaven. When you know your position. If

  196. you don't know your position, you can belong anywhere. See,

  197. for us, that's been locked up before they called it

  198. out of place. They would give you a major case

  199. for being out of place. Because you're not where you're

  200. assigned to be. You're not where you are expected to be.

  201. And so when you're not, guess what? You mess up

  202. everything else.

  203. Uh-oh. Uh-oh.

  204. When you're out of place, no wonder the kids act

  205. like that. Y'all ain't going to talk back to me.

  206. When you're out of place, No wonder the job is

  207. like that. So when God is doing something, you have

  208. to be in place for what he's going to do.

  209. You have to understand why he's doing what he's doing.

  210. That's the reason I say it's all right to gain

  211. a lot of knowledge, man.

  212. I'm telling you, man.

  213. But it's better to have wisdom so you can apply

  214. what you know. Apply what you know. That's what wisdom is.

  215. Allows you to apply the knowledge. Well, allows you to

  216. apply the understanding to the knowledge that you have. That's

  217. how this works. Just read the Bible. It says all

  218. your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Above everything, get understanding.

  219. Why?

  220. Because you can read it all day long, but if

  221. you don't understand it, how are you going to apply it?

  222. You're just reading it. You ain't applying nothing that you read.

  223. Why?

  224. You know why you can't apply? Because you don't understand it.

  225. That's when sometimes you have to slow down. You have

  226. to slow down. I mean, even in our.

  227. Ministries, in our parenting, in our working abilities, see, sometimes

  228. you just need.

  229. To slow down.

  230. I took off about four or five days from my job,

  231. and they said, man, y'all going out of town. You

  232. going out of town. I said, no, this is what

  233. you're going to do. I said, no, I'm going to

  234. sit in my aisle. They said, so why are you

  235. taking vacation? You ain't going nowhere, man, because I need

  236. my mind to rest from you people sometime.

  237. No, I ain't going nowhere.

  238. I just ain't showing up over here no more. Not

  239. for the next four or five days.

  240. You understand? I'm being serious. I'm on set in my house.

  241. He called me up. He said, man, what you doing?

  242. I said, man, I'm sitting on my porch looking at

  243. that field across the street. He said, you doing what?

  244. I said, yeah, I'm sitting in my porch looking at

  245. the field across the street. That's what's across the street

  246. from my house.

  247. But why you doing that? Letting my mind relax. Well,

  248. I'm sorry to call you. I said, so why you

  249. calling me?

  250. Because our rule is once you go on vacation, especially

  251. management part, once you go on vacation.

  252. You don't call them for no reason. Why?

  253. Because if they're on vacation, that means they need a break.

  254. You don't call them. You figure something else out. So

  255. he proceeds to talk, and I said, man, what you

  256. talking to me for? This is my boss, the one

  257. that I own the company. I said, man, what you

  258. talking to me for?

  259. I'm on vacation.

  260. Yeah, I know, man, but I said, okay, well, hang

  261. up then. I don't want to think about what you're saying.

  262. That's mean I ain't there. So every now and then

  263. you need to slow down and separate yourself and get

  264. in touch with you.

  265. Now y'all ain't going to talk back to me. You

  266. need to.

  267. Get in touch with you and stop trying to run

  268. everything else. And you wonder why it ain't going right.

  269. You know why it ain't going right? People tired of

  270. you trying to tell them what to do. All you

  271. do is tell, tell, tell. All you do is do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do. Man,

  272. people need to break every now and then. Even Jesus rests.

  273. What? God rests. If you don't want to believe Jesus,

  274. believe God. He rests too. And gave you a day

  275. to rest.

  276. But you so hell far bent on trying to get

  277. everything right, you don't risk. And in that place, you

  278. gets it wrong. You focusing on this broad thing and

  279. you need to focus.

  280. Right there. So watch this.

  281. I'm going to go to Luke, and I'm going to

  282. read something to you in Luke. Let me break it

  283. down for you first, give you some background before I

  284. start reading. In Luke, Jesus is teaching the disciples on

  285. God and the kingdom. He's preparing these guys for his leaving.

  286. Right?

  287. Okay, that's what this is. Chapters about this. And so

  288. Jesus is giving them some examples. Because y'all know he

  289. talked in prayer and stuff like that. But in the

  290. main scheme of things, he's getting ready to depart.

  291. And he want them to understand one thing.

  292. You got to be ready, fellas. Got to be ready.

  293. They ask him when he coming, man. Look, don't worry

  294. about when he coming. Just focus on being ready. Stop

  295. trying to figure out what it's going to look like.

  296. Just focus on being ready. See, because now you focus

  297. on the broader aspect of things. Focus on that one thing,

  298. being ready. Focus on that. Man, yes sir, because I'm

  299. coming back. I'm coming back. So quit saying, well, who's

  300. going to leave and who's going to... Focus on being ready.

  301. Watch this.

  302. Because I'm coming back to deliver you From this evil

  303. and perverse world.

  304. I'm coming back to deliver you from all this chaos.

  305. Watch this here.

  306. But that's only if you know your position. You have

  307. to know your position in the kingdom. You have to

  308. know why you was created. You have to know why

  309. you still here today. And a lot of people that

  310. you know is gone. You've got to know your purpose.

  311. Your purpose.

  312. God created you for a purpose. I just told you

  313. we was, and I went to over there with Sister

  314. Rain now, when we was over there at May Seminary.

  315. And I was talking to some of the guys. And

  316. I said, man, you know, boy, you got to be ready, man.

  317. You never know. And they said, that's what Bishop King

  318. was preaching on. I said, oh. I wasn't in there.

  319. I didn't hear a Prince of Kings preach.

  320. But the guys that I was talking to and they

  321. were talking, I said, yeah, man, I said, man, but

  322. you better be ready. You better get focused on being

  323. ready because watch this here. We all know it's coming.

  324. We expect it, but we can't never get ready for it.

  325. You'll never be ready because you never know when it's coming.

  326. And that's what Luke is about. Jesus is telling these

  327. people it's coming.

  328. Be ready. So watch this.

  329. And the reason I chose this particular passage is because

  330. like them, y'all know Sodom and Gomorrah and all that.

  331. Y'all know that story. There's something deep about that story.

  332. Something real deep.

  333. We all know, oh, she looked back and turned into

  334. a pillar of salt. You know what that represent?

  335. Glad you asked.

  336. I'm going to help you with that. What Lot's wife did.

  337. In the midst of it. Watch this. 17 and 32.

  338. Jesus is telling him about his coming, his departing and

  339. the coming back of the kingdom.

  340. Watch this here. And coming back to save you guys.

  341. I'm coming back to save y'all.

  342. Just like they told him about Sodom and Gomorrah, I'm

  343. going to destroy that and I'm going to save y'all.

  344. I'm going to destroy that and I'm going to save y'all.

  345. Keep that in your head.

  346. I'm going to destroy that and I'm going to save you.

  347. I'm coming back to get you. Know your position. Know

  348. your position.

  349. Even though you might like it right here, right now,

  350. know your position. Even though it's all glamorous down there

  351. right now, boy, you got plenty of money. You got

  352. two double-wide trailers. You got 134,000 acres of land.

  353. No, no, no. Know your position because I'm coming back

  354. to get you. Right?

  355. Okay.

  356. Okay. Know your position. So he tells them, he says,

  357. because all this is going to wash away. All this

  358. is going to be gone because you're here now. But

  359. you're seated there.

  360. And it will come time for you to take the

  361. reins of the keys to your real place. You can't

  362. take this with you. So you have to stay focused

  363. when you know your position. Watch, he says, he says,

  364. and I'm going to start at, let's start at, I

  365. want to say 32, but I'm going to go up

  366. a little further.

  367. I'm going to start at 32.

  368. This is Luke 17 and 30. Even thus shall it

  369. be in the days when the Son of Man is revealed.

  370. In that day he which shall be upon the housetop

  371. and his stuff in the house. Let him not come

  372. down and take it away. And he that is in

  373. the field, let him likewise take Not return back.

  374. The next words he said, next scripture. Next scripture. What

  375. that say, y'all? Y'all read that out. What that say?

  376. Remember Lot's wife. Okay.

  377. Remember Lot's wife. Now Jesus is telling them about his coming.

  378. He's explaining to them, just be ready. Don't go back

  379. looking for nothing. Just be ready. Don't worry about nothing.

  380. Just be ready.

  381. So when God made his mind up to destroy Sodom

  382. and Gomorrah, he sent word for Lot and his wife.

  383. To come out of there. She looks back. Turned into

  384. a pillar of salt.

  385. Jesus says, remember Lot's wife Why would Jesus tell these

  386. people to remember Lot's wife? First he tells them, if

  387. you're on the mountaintop, don't come down. If you got

  388. some in the field, don't try to go fetch that.

  389. If you got some in the house, leave it there.

  390. Be ready.

  391. And then the next thing he says is, remember Lot's wife?

  392. Why would he make the comparison?

  393. Glad you asked. What Lot's wife represented.

  394. That's when it's so important for us to stay focused, man.

  395. What Lot's wife represented and what Jesus is teaching his

  396. disciples in that particular.

  397. Message is that.

  398. No external circumstances or force in the universe can break

  399. God's Hold on them, right? What she represents is when

  400. she looked back, she represents.

  401. Half of what she believed in.

  402. She believed she was being saved, but she felt sorry

  403. for her cousin then. She believed God was doing what

  404. he said he was going to do. Oh, yeah, I

  405. won't get this in a minute.

  406. Just wait a minute.

  407. But she felt she missed. So she looked back. And

  408. when she looked back, God had instructed them. Don't look back.

  409. Come here for a minute, baby.

  410. Come here for a minute. He said, don't look back.

  411. Turn this way, baby. We leaving. We leaving. We leaving.

  412. We leaving. We leaving.

  413. So as we going toward where God is calling us

  414. to be.

  415. Oh, we just got a brand new house. We got

  416. nice calls. All her.

  417. Family, my family's back there. We want them saved. Her

  418. prayer is, Lord, don't save me and don't save my family.

  419. Y'all hear that, don't you? Watch this. But the Lord says,

  420. Alden and Johnny, come on. Come on, brother. Look back. Stop.

  421. She trusted. Watch this here.

  422. And what God was doing, she disobeyed by looking back.

  423. Partial obedience. Partial obedience. Y'all ain't going to talk back

  424. to him. I told y'all. Y'all just hold on. Just

  425. hold on. I told you.

  426. Partial obedience. She's leaving because God say go. God say

  427. don't look back. She's walking forward looking back. Why does

  428. she look back? Her familiarity. She see I'm leaving my baby.

  429. I'm leaving my grandson. Y'all ain't going to talk back

  430. to me. I'm leaving these nice things I have accomplished.

  431. Y'all ain't going to talk back to me, man. God says,

  432. be ready.

  433. Stay focused. Stay focused.

  434. Because I told y'all in the opening, everybody's journey is

  435. measured different. So when Lot and his wife started moving,

  436. she looked back. But if you notice something in her

  437. looking back, Lot kept walking. I don't know if they

  438. were together 100 years or 22 days. You know what

  439. I'm saying? I don't know how long they were together.

  440. But Lot said, uh-uh. Lot said, no way. You understand

  441. what I'm saying? See, so in other words, what I

  442. want you to understand is you got to be obedient.

  443. Watch this here.

  444. Not when you feel like it. Not when it fits you.

  445. Not when it benefits you. You got to be obedient

  446. when it hurts you. You got to be obedient when

  447. they talk about you. You got to be obedient when

  448. you feel somebody stepped on your toe.

  449. You got to be obedient, period. But y'all ain't going

  450. to talk back to me. See, I told y'all I

  451. wasn't praying. I was just listening. Listen.

  452. You thought she just turned into a pillow song.

  453. Why?

  454. Why would Jesus equate this.

  455. To his disciples about his returning?

  456. Man, y'all better stay focused.

  457. And the main way to stay focused is wholeheartedly be

  458. obedient to what I say. Just don't be obedient to

  459. receiving my blessings. Just don't be obedient because you done

  460. made it. Watch this here.

  461. Out.

  462. He saved me from the drug world. He saved me

  463. from the penitentiary. He saved me from a lot of

  464. things that should have killed me. You understand what I'm

  465. talking about?

  466. So why would I.

  467. Go back to the very thing he saved me from? See,

  468. Paul says, I made myself a slave to Christ.

  469. Why?

  470. Because the very thing that enslaved him, now that which

  471. have set him free, he become a slave to what

  472. freed him.

  473. So he won't go back to what he was enslaved to. obedience.

  474. Paul said since you freed me, I'm going to become

  475. obedient to you.

  476. Why?

  477. Because I was obedient to that master. Obedience is who

  478. I am. Whoever I serve, I'm going to be obedient

  479. to them.

  480. Watch this here. Wholeheartedly though. See, Paul wasn't praying. And

  481. so since Jesus saved him, I ain't going to pray

  482. over him neither.

  483. So Lot's wife looked back and Jesus equate this with

  484. half obedience.

  485. I'm taking you somewhere. Watch this here.

  486. You trust me to lead you, but you don't trust

  487. me enough that you won't look back at what I'm

  488. bringing you for. You got to have one last look,

  489. one last drink. Oh, y'all ain't going to talk back

  490. to me. One last hit. Y'all ain't going to talk

  491. back to me. One last night in somebody else's bed

  492. before you decide to make your mind up.

  493. Yeah, you, you, you, you.

  494. Just one more. Somebody say just one more. You're going

  495. to be a pill of salt. You're going to turn

  496. into a pillar of salt. Trying to just get. Watch this.

  497. Y'all check this out though.

  498. Check this out. This is what tripped me out about

  499. the text. She wasn't even down there with the people.

  500. The city's already being destroyed.

  501. They leaving. She looks back. She turns into a pillar

  502. of salt.

  503. Wherever she looked back from, she couldn't touch him.

  504. She couldn't hear him.

  505. What you looking at?

  506. Watch this here.

  507. Because if I wanted you, I'd have said, leave her

  508. down there.

  509. Let you come on. But he brought them together. Already

  510. knowing wasn't the one going to make it out.

  511. Because it says she looked back and she instantly turned

  512. into a pillar of salt.

  513. Instantly.

  514. So here, if he the alpha and omega, he already

  515. know the plan. So watch this here. Was that Story

  516. for us or for Lot?

  517. Lot made it out. Lot made it out?

  518. Okay.

  519. Watch this, y'all.

  520. Disobedience. What you're telling God is there is nothing he

  521. can do internally that can save you externally.

  522. Our main focus here is to do what God has

  523. called us to do.

  524. Wholeheartedly.

  525. There is a consequence for being.

  526. For being double minded she was double minded she didn't

  527. know if I'm going to go.

  528. Or I'm going to stay. I'm going to go or

  529. I'm going to stay. Watch this.

  530. And the book of James says that a double-minded man

  531. shouldn't pray and expect to receive anything from God. God

  532. already knew what was going to happen. He already knew

  533. Lot's wife was going to look back. So, it goes

  534. to tell me that Lot's wife had too much going

  535. on in her head. I want to go, but I

  536. don't want to leave you. I won't escape this, but

  537. I'm scared I'm going to leave my baby and my

  538. baby ain't going to make it out. I want to

  539. go forward, but I'm going to miss you. I'm going

  540. to miss you. I'm going to miss you. But I

  541. got to go. I got to go forward because I

  542. know if I stay here, this is going to destroy me.

  543. Uh-oh, uh-oh.

  544. But my mama's here. My granny over there. And my

  545. granny been taking care of me. Can I just take

  546. my granny with me, Lord? Come from among them. Are

  547. there my homeboys coming from among them? What about my

  548. babies coming from among them? Can I go bury my dead?

  549. Let the dead bury the dead. Watch this here.

  550. Just because you call me Lord and don't obey me,

  551. I'm not your Lord. And why would you call him

  552. Lord if you're not going to obey him? See, the

  553. Lord says, y'all come out of there. They said, okay, Lord.

  554. They started leaving. She looked back. Lot kept walking. Lot

  555. took him as his Lord seriously.

  556. She did too. But she doubted What she was doing.

  557. You can't doubt this wall. You either in or you out.

  558. When God has you to do something. You either going

  559. to do it. Or you not going to do it.

  560. So in other words. Don't play with it. He ain't

  561. going to play with you. He going to turn you

  562. into a pillow of salt. Yeah, I'll play with you.

  563. Okay. Moses, I need you to lead my people out

  564. of Egypt. Okay.

  565. Moses led them out of Egypt. God said, go to

  566. the mountain. You see it over there? Yeah, I see it, Lord.

  567. That's the land I promised you. You ain't going over there.

  568. You know why? You walked the walk the way you

  569. wanted to walk it.

  570. I was giving you instructions on how I want you

  571. to walk it.

  572. You chose to do it the way you want to

  573. do it. So Moses, you're going to stay right here.

  574. But Lord, I let him out of Egypt like you said. Yes,

  575. you did. Watch this here. I called you.

  576. Uh-oh. I call you. So if I call you, I

  577. got instructions for the caller. You don't answer the call

  578. and then write your own script to it. See, when

  579. I call you and you answer the call, what your

  580. yes look like? When you answer the call, And then

  581. I tell you to do something. You don't do it

  582. the way you want to do it. If I call

  583. you and you answer the call and I said, Pastor,

  584. I need you to have her to preach.

  585. Oh, no, I can't.

  586. What you mean now?

  587. Now you're writing your own script to his calling. You're

  588. going to turn into a pillar of salt.

  589. Now, now, now, watch this here. Watch this here. And

  590. I understand this. I understand. It's funny. I understand this.

  591. But watch this, man. Watch this. I want y'all to

  592. understand this. It ain't for everybody. It's just for the

  593. ones who answer to God.

  594. Another thing the story showed me. Lot answered the call.

  595. His wife was just going along. She's just going along.

  596. But when you just go along.

  597. And you get so far away from what you're familiar to,

  598. you have a tendency to miss that thing. You have

  599. a tendency to feel bad about what you're doing.

  600. You have a tendency to have regret in the choices

  601. that you made. When you not called and.

  602. You just going alone. That's the reason Jesus tell Peter.

  603. Peter Satan come and swift you. But I pray that

  604. your faith.

  605. Not mine.

  606. Yours fail you not. And when you be converted. When

  607. you get real. Don't go try to help nobody else.

  608. At least you fall into the same temptation. Wait till

  609. you get converted.

  610. Wait till you get converted. Strong enough, come for real.

  611. About your calling that my daddy has given you, then

  612. you're going to help somebody.

  613. It ain't for everybody. It's only for the calling. At

  614. least you be a pillow salt. Because you look good.

  615. You preach good.

  616. You can break scripture down real good.

  617. Is it real or memories? Are you a false prophet?

  618. Are you a hypocrite? Are you somebody that's set up

  619. under somebody and got the word real, real good. And

  620. now you can mimic them. You can preach like them.

  621. You can dress like them. You can talk like them.

  622. You can shout and dance like them. Y'all stop playing

  623. with me. Y'all stop playing with me though. For real.

  624. For real.

  625. For real. For real. See, it's time out for playing.

  626. God is serious about what he's placing in you.

  627. And if you don't get serious about it, you're going

  628. to be a pill of salt.

  629. If you know God put a calling on your life

  630. and you started playing, keep on playing. Because he's teaching

  631. them Nobody know when I'm coming. So you gonna be

  632. still playing when he get him. Stay focused and be ready.

  633. It's what Jesus is teaching. Stay focused and be ready.

  634. Stay focused and be ready.

  635. Watch this here. If you knew.

  636. When your cousin was going to die, it wouldn't have

  637. hurt you that bad because you would have prepared already six, seven, eight,

  638. ten years.

  639. Ahead of time for this day. You don't know.

  640. Y'all talking, kicking it, having fun, separate. Ten minutes later, Girl,

  641. you know so-and-so just died? I just got through talking

  642. to him. I can't believe that I just got through

  643. talking to him.

  644. Yeah, he dead. He just left five and over my house.

  645. We was just sitting on the porch talking.

  646. Girl, he died around there on MLK. Just fell over. See,

  647. we can't play.

  648. And obedience is everything to the man who created you

  649. In his image and in his likeness.

  650. He don't care if you ain't no preacher. He don't

  651. care if you ain't no bishop. He don't care if

  652. you don't never prophesy one word in your life. What

  653. he care about is your character.

  654. Why?

  655. Because you created in my image and my likeness. I

  656. ain't called everybody to preach. I didn't call everybody to prophesy.

  657. But I called everybody to be like me. Don't get

  658. that twisted. He said, I also belong to me. Everything

  659. is created in my image and in my likeness. I

  660. don't care if you don't never preach. I didn't call

  661. you to be no preacher. Because I wrote your story

  662. and I knew if you start preaching, you're going to

  663. be fake about that.

  664. I don't want you fake because I ain't fake. Whatsoever

  665. is true. what Philippians say. Whatsoever is worthy of your praise.

  666. Y'all go back and read Philippians 4 and 8.

  667. Whatsoever is worthy of the praise. Yeah.

  668. And obedience is worthy of your praise. So I come

  669. today and I just want.

  670. To get us straight about the story the pillar saw.

  671. It wasn't because she was bad. It wasn't because she

  672. wasn't worth saving. It wasn't because she didn't do what

  673. God say do.

  674. She only half did it. Because the first thing he'd

  675. say is, don't look back.

  676. But sometimes, you and your homeboy, you and your sister,

  677. you and your mama, you and your best friend, that

  678. brings me to believe everybody ain't meant to go with you.

  679. Just because you start out together, that don't mean you're

  680. going to end up together. Some people are in your

  681. life for a season. Some people are in your life

  682. for a lesson. Some people are in your life for

  683. a lifetime.

  684. It's up to us to determine which one is it.

  685. Because God Me and my son-in-law were talking last week,

  686. I think. It's some people that are attached to you.

  687. And then there are some people who are attracted to you.

  688. That makes sense.

  689. Yeah, you know, that's how you can go in the

  690. church and the church be full because they're attracted to them.

  691. They're not attached because as soon as he start giving

  692. some I need you to do.

  693. No, they gone. They gone.

  694. No, I can't do that. Jesus said, will you leave

  695. me also? See, that was attractive to him until he said,

  696. you got to drink this.

  697. Eat this.

  698. No, we can't do that. That's nasty.

  699. And he said, will you leave me also? See, there

  700. are some people assigned to you. But nevertheless, whether they're

  701. assigned to you or attracted to you, there is one person.

  702. That you are attached to forever. Whether living or dead.

  703. You are attached to him because only he holds your future.

  704. Whether your future is on MLK or under 82nd and slide.

  705. It don't make no difference where your future going to be. Listen.

  706. Obedience is better than any sacrifice you can give him.

  707. And you know why? He done already gave the ultimate sacrifice.

  708. You can't beat it. Oh, y'all didn't know that. I

  709. was free, though.

  710. Y'all give me a cup of coffee later on sometime. Yeah,

  711. y'all give me a cup of coffee for that later on. Yeah,

  712. you can't beat the sacrifice.

  713. That's what he say.

  714. Obedience is better than any sacrifice that you can give

  715. me because I got the best sacrifice. So I don't

  716. need your sacrifice. I need your obedience. I need you wholeheartedly.

  717. I don't need you stumbling, guessing, and trying to figure

  718. it out. Just trust.

  719. Just trust. Trust. Like, you trust that company? When you

  720. go put an item out on payday, you get paid

  721. on your card, you already know Man, what's wrong, man?

  722. My money didn't hit last night. Something wrong. Now you

  723. called on your other co-worker. Did your money hit? You

  724. trust that. Oh, y'all stop playing, man. Y'all act like

  725. y'all don't know, man. But you trust that system.

  726. You trust when you go use the bathroom, you flush

  727. your commode, it's going to go out.

  728. Your drain ain't going to back up. You trust the system.

  729. You trust when you get up out of here in

  730. a few minutes, go out there and crank your car,

  731. everything going to work, it's going to turn over, you

  732. going home. You trust that system. So why is it

  733. so hard for us to trust the system creator? Why

  734. is it so hard To trust the system creator.

  735. Watch this. It's easy to see if you focus. But

  736. as long as you got the wide view right there.

  737. All you can see is the alternator. All you can

  738. see is the insurance company coming to fix your roof.

  739. So you trust them systems. But if you focus on God,

  740. you can trust his system. Because when you focus on

  741. his system, nothing.

  742. Can go wrong. Whatever you need, I am that I am.

  743. I am Alpha and Omega.

  744. I am the one who created you before I created

  745. the foundation system.

  746. Of the world, I knew you.

  747. Y'all ain't going to talk back to me. I knew

  748. you for I formed you in your mother's womb. That

  749. means when I formed you in your mother's womb, I

  750. already had who.

  751. I wanted your daddy to be.

  752. .

  753. Okay, watch this. This is how I think.

  754. Look at all of your kin people that's come before

  755. you and God said, I knew you for I formed

  756. you in your mother's womb. Look at all her people

  757. that she had to come through to get healed. Look

  758. at all the people that your daddy had to come

  759. through to get here to meet your mama.

  760. So you can be healed.

  761. The system works. You just don't trust it. Just like

  762. Lot's wife. We don't trust the system. We only trust

  763. the system when it benefits us. You know how I

  764. know that? Because when she was dying out, she was

  765. having her way. They were doing what they were doing.

  766. Everything felt good to her. So now God says, we

  767. go into something different and unfamiliar, and she did not

  768. want to leave what seemed.

  769. Familiar to her. So God said, okay, you stay right

  770. there and look at it for the rest of your life.

  771. Obedience is what Christ is showing us when he's talking

  772. to the disciples in Luke. And he said, remember Lot's wife.

  773. That was partial obedience. We can't have that, y'all. We

  774. can't have it. I am too focused on doing, because

  775. y'all hear me say it all the time. And my

  776. wife and them, they hear me say it. I don't

  777. care what nobody think about me.

  778. This little guy right here, as long as me and

  779. God know that I'm doing right, that's all that matter, man.

  780. Because if I start trying to live up to your expectations,

  781. I might be serving him wholeheartedly.

  782. Someone live up to mine that I know is true.

  783. And worthy and whatsoever is pure and whatsoever is worthy

  784. God bless you.
