Acts Chapter 4 (2009)

To a song with the actual sentiments of our hearts that we're so glad the Lord brought us in.

And it may not sound good, but there is an out yonder, and there's an in here.

Anything out of the will of God is out yonder.

And of course, we can begin to see when the Lord actually brought the nation of Israel out of Egypt, it didn't start off with that way.

He actually brought them out.

Well, he brought them out of Egypt to bring them into the land of Canaan.

But it didn't start off that way.

It actually started off with the people who had a promise.

And the promise was made some 400 years earlier.

In the 15th chapter of the book of Genesis, he made a promise to Abram.

He changed his name from Abel to Abraham and made him a declaration that they would actually be a stranger in a land that was not theirs, and how they would be evil and treated.

But after the fullness of time, when the iniquity of the Amorites is full, that he would actually bring them in and give them their inheritance.

And of course, Abraham produced a son named Isaac, and Isaac produced Jacob.

Jacob's name, as his nature was changed when he rasted with the angel, was changed from Jacob to Israel.

Israel means prince.

It means prince.

One who has actually strived with God and man and had prevailed, had actually found favor with God.

So his name was changed from Jacob to Israel.

He had twelve sons.

And those sons had offspring so great that it was called tribes.

It was called the 12 tribes of Israel.

Those are synonyms, the 12 tribes of Israel, the nation of Israel, Hebrew, the land that came out of was Judah.

And so it was called, they were called Jews.

And from there, Abraham, I'm sorry, didn't actually live to see the promise, but he believed it and he embraced it.

The Bible said how Abraham actually looked for a city.

Well he looked for a he did not look for a natural city, inasmuch as that he was a nomad dwelling in uh dens and caves.

But the city looking for was a people.

The Bible said a city which had foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

And that city looking for was called the New Jerusalem.

But nevertheless, his son Isaac was heir of the same promise, and then Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel.

But you know what happened?

Jacob's son, his favorite son, Joseph, was actually, uh was called his favorite, was actually sold into slavery in a land called Egypt.

Here's the people who was to be uh the lineage to which Jesus Christ the Messiah would come, and here they are reduced down to slavery in a land that's not theirs for a long span of time.

But what gives me so much encouragement is how the plan of God cannot be altered.

The plan of God is absolutely irresistible, it cannot be uh uh disturbed.

Uh often say we may not like the winter, but you can't stop it from coming.

You may not like the winter, but you better get a coat.

You better make sure you have heat and elements in your house because it's on the way.

You cannot stop it.

The four seasons are irresistible, they cannot be stopped.

And that's the way the plan of God is.

You don't have to love it, but you better know it's going to occur.

And so here they were.

Uh Joseph was sold into slavery in a land that was uh foreign to him.

But even in that land, he still remembered the promises that God had made to his father Abraham, his father Isaac, and his father Jacob.

And so, regardless of the position he was in, he kept the right spirit.

When he was sold into slavery in Polypher's house, he never indicted the Lord.

Lord, why are you doing this to me?

But the Bible said how he actually served his master, Polypher.

He served them faithfully until the Lord actually blessed all that Joseph put his hands to.

He actually blessed Polypher's house for Joseph's sake.

Do you know when you're a child of God, spirit-filled, spirit-led, do you know that the favor of God is with you?

Well, absolutely so.

So he blessed that is the house of Joseph, house of uh polyverse for Joseph's sake.

And of course, whenever and always say this, when the level when the Lord is blessing, guess what else happened?

The devil started messing.

And so you can see how Joseph, I'm sorry, how Polypher's wife, how she actually tried to get Joseph to commit a great sin and lie with her.

But Joseph's response is saying, Listen, all that your husband have have he put into my hands.

He has kept nothing from me except for you because you're his wife.

He said, I cannot commit such a great sin against my master or against my God.

But she kept working on him, and she kept working on him.

Till one day she caught him in the house by herself, grabbed him by his coat and said, Lie with me.

And Joseph realized, you know, sometimes you stop discussing things.

The Bible says, just flee you for lust.

Joseph didn't talk anymore, he just took off running.

When he did, the garment remained in his hands.

And from there she began to scream and uh bring a false accusation against Joseph and say, This man tried to force himself on me.

So now Joseph thrown down into prison, where he actually had done no wrong.

But you know, he kept the right spirit.

Even down in prison, he served, uh that is the guard of the prison.

He served them.

And you know what the Lord did?

He blessed them in that state.

Until all that the uh uh the ward keeper had, he actually put it up under Joseph's hand.

The Lord raised him up again.

And from there, uh, of course, you know, I'm sure you know the story, and I'll cut through it.

I could talk about that because there's no other man in the Bible who pictures Jesus Christ more than Joseph.

He is a wonderful picture of Jesus Christ from the beginning all the way to the end of his days.

He is a wonderful metaphor of a Christ.

There is not another man who pictures Christ this much.

Uh, what happened to Joseph?

I'll tell you what happened.

His brothers envied him, and his brothers sold him out for a few pieces of silver.

What happened to Jesus Christ?

His brother, the nation of Israel?

They envied him.

They actually envied him and sold him out for 30 pieces of silver.

And why do they envy him?

Well, they envied him because he was his father's favorite.

And why did the Jews uh envy Jesus?

Because Jesus was his father's favorites.

He had many prophets.

He said unto which of the, he put it this way, he said unto which of the angels said he, at any time, Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee.

Which one?

Not a one.

He's above every prophet, he's above every angel.

And uh you can see even how that in Joseph's house.

Uh Joseph represents, I'm sorry, in Polypher's house.

Uh that represents the things of the world, out there, doesn't it?

And he had a wife, and that represents the uh that is showing you how pagan Rome actually had joined up uh with the nation of Israel.

And uh all the uh the rulers, the religious rulers, was actually put in power by the Roman government.

And so here this woman tried to get Joseph to lay with her.

And that's that woman represented the Bible, women represents churches.

And the Pharisees, they tried to get Jesus to lay with them, he wouldn't do it.

The Sadducees, they tried to get him to join his organization, he wouldn't do it.

The Estes, the Zillach, the Herodians.

And for that, you know what they did?

The same thing that Polyver did, because Jesus wouldn't lay with them, they actually was falsely accused, and he was turned over to the authorities.

And Jesus Christ, as you can remember, when he was put to death, he actually hung between two matter factors.

Remember that?

He had one on his right hand and one was on his left.

Well, if you can remember Joseph, when he was down in Polypher's house, when he was put into that dungeon, the Bible said there was two men who had dreams.

You remember that?

And as one man dreamed the dream, uh he came and he told Joseph, because Joseph could interpret dreams.

He said, I had a dream last night, and I don't understand.

This man was actually, uh he actually was a cupbearer.

He was a cupbearer.

And uh he had this great dream.

He didn't uh understand the dream.

He said, I don't understand it.

Actually, what was happening, if I can remember correctly, he said, Brother Michael, he said there were three clusters of grapes.

And as he squeezed those grapes, juice came out into the cup, and he gave it to the pharaoh.

Joseph looked at him and he said, What this means is in three days, the pharaoh's going to restore you, and you'll be his cupbearer again.

Well, when the second dreamer heard the dream, he got excited.

He said, Well, wait a minute.

I had a dream too.

I was a baker.

And uh I had a dream, and I had three uh three loaves of bread that was on my head.

And uh, birds came and began to eat the eat the uh the bread off of my head.

He said, What does that mean?

And Joseph looked at him with a sad countenance.

He said, Tell me, what does it mean?

He said, Well, I'll tell you what that means.

In three days, the Pharaoh's gonna take your head off.

But he looked over at that at their cupbearer.

He said, When you're restored to your kingdom, he said, Remember me, when you get back into favor.

I've done no wrong.

I'm here because I was falsely accused.

And uh, that is by my master's wife.

He said, Remember me.

Well, in three days we know that the cup bearer was restored.

But you know what happened?

Like most of us, we forget.

Forgot all about Joseph.

He forgot all about poor Joseph.

And so Joseph kept the right spirit and kept right on serving.

But the Lord knows how to uh bring things into fruition.

The Pharaoh himself had a great dream.

And that dream troubled Pharaoh.

He jumped up in the morning and he called all of his sous sails, all of his magicians, all of his wise men, and he told them the dream.

He said, I dreamed the dream upon my bed.

There were seven fat cows came up out of the Nile River.

They was full and they were healthy.

And then seven lean cows came up, and the vow of the seven full and fat cows, and yet those cows remained so skinny.

And he said, I had dreamed yet another dream.

There were seven stalks of corn, full and healthy and flourishing.

And then seven skinny uh ears came up and devolved those seven fat cows.

Uh set uh uh, I'm sorry, corn.

He said, What does that mean?

Nobody couldn't tell him.

Then the baker, the butler, I'm sorry, he remembered, he said, You know, Pharaoh, when you were angry with me and put me into a dungeon, that was a man down there.

He was a Hebrew, and he told me all my dream and what they met.

And it came to pass.

So the so the Pharaoh he sent for Joseph, and Joseph began to tell him, He said, Oh, Pharaoh, the Lord is showing you what he's about to do.

There's going to be seven great years of plenty.

And then after which it's going to be seven years of phantom that this earth has never seen.

What you should do is you find a man who's full of wisdom and discerning and understanding, and let him take the take uh and put aside during those seven years of plenty, for those seven years of lean.

The Pharaoh looked at Joseph.

He said, I don't see another man as wise as you are in all my kingdom.

So he took his ring off his finger and put it on Joseph.

He gave him all the authority to be over everything that was in Egypt.

Everything.

And he was in he was second only to Pharaoh.

He was the one that was in charge of all of Egypt.

Well, that's a wonderful picture of Jesus Christ.

As he was sold by his brothers, that is, the Jews, until the Roman authority and was put to death.

As he was actually on that cross, there were two math factors, and that's what those two dreamers represent.

That was one to his left, and that was one to his right.

The one to his left rail on Jesus.

He railed on him.

He said, Listen, if you are the Christ, come down and save yourself.

He's dying on the cross and he's relling on Jesus.

He's relling on him, saying, Come down and save yourself.

If you say you'll have all this power, but that represents, that represents the law of Moses.

All it did is just rail on Christ.

And that's why when Jesus came, uh, that is Jews, every time Jesus tried to teach them, they'll say, Moses said, Moses said, Moses said.

But then again, that was some to his right that represents the prophets.

And those prophets, that man being on the right, he said, Listen, he said, Don't you fear God.

We're suffering for our deeds righteously, but this man has done no evil.

He said, Lord, when you come into your kingdom, remember me.

Remember me.

Jesus looked at that man and said, Today.

He didn't say this day, but he said, Today, thou shalt be with me in paradise.

That today is the day of grace.

That's the day that happened.

Uh, some fifty days later was called the day of Pentecost.

But nevertheless, uh, so you can see that was restoration.

And of course, we can see how Joseph himself, uh he represents Jesus Christ.

He's second over all that God the Father has created.

He's second only to God the Father.

Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and in earth.

Can you see that wonderful picture?

That's a wonderful picture.

And so you can see, and you know what Joseph had that made his brothers so jealous of him?

He had a coat of many colors.

And uh, what made that coat so special is that that coat of all colors, it represents the creation of God and the kingdom of God.

He said, Whosoever will, let him what?

Let him come.

My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.

Doesn't matter about your paint job on the outside, but it matters by the contents of your heart.

And that and that coat of many colors, when those brothers sold them into slavery, they took their coat off, Brother Michael.

They killed a goat and they dipped that coat into that blood and it came up one color.

And so when we come to the body of Christ, we made different nationalities, different races, different finances, educational background and status, but when we dipped into the blood of Christ, that is the baptism of the Holy Ghost, we all come up one.

The Bible said there's neither Jew nor Gentile, Greek, bond, siphon, male nor female, but you're all one in Christ.

Isn't that a wonderful picture?

And of course, to really see those things, it takes a spiritual eye.

And of course, the Bible put it this way: 1 Corinthians, that is chapter chapter 2, uh, right about the 14th verse, he said, the natural man, that's a man that has not yet received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

The natural man received not the things of the Spirit of God.

Well, they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them because they are what?

Spiritually discerned.

And so it takes the baptism of the Holy Ghost to know those things that are freely given to us.

I think if we go up a few verses to the ninth verse, uh, and this is often quoted in most churches, but they stop in the ninth verse.

He said, I has not seen.

We even sing that song, don't we?

I has not seen, ear has not heard, neither have it entered into the hearts of men the things that God has prepared for them that.

That's the ninth verse.

But don't stop there.

The next verse says, But, get it from me, Sister Desiree.

He said, but God has revealed them unto us by his what?

By his spirit.

By his spirit.

For the Spirit, that's the Spirit of God, searches all things.

Yea, that word means yes, even the deep things of God.

Aren't you glad about that?

And so this is a spiritual book, isn't it?

Uh go down another verse to the 11th verse as well.

For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?

And that's easy to understand.

Uh look at brother.

Look, but you look at this is a wonderful, nice suit that brother uh uh Richard has on.

Brother Richard, stand up.

Stand up.

Just go ahead.

Look at that nice suit.

Nice pretty shirt.

You know what happened?

Somebody thought about that.

They said, you know, we make a nice brown suit and put stripes on it, some man gonna come by and buy it.

And along came Brother Richard.

Well, what man knows those things?

Nothing but a man.

He knows exactly what would appear to another man.

I'm sorry, you can sit down.

And he said, even so, just like that, just like that, when they built that car and called it a Mustang, and along come Brother Phil.

Then he created some chrome rims, make them nice and big.

Along come Sister Christine in the Bible for Brother Phil.

And so that's just a natural man knowing the things of a man.

We can understand uh reading, writing arithmetic, that's natural.

He said, but listen this.

He said, even so, or just like that, the things of God knoweth no what?

That's a natural man.

You'll never understand the word of God with a slide root and a pencil.

You can't get this in the high school of learning.

It takes the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it takes a five-office ministry, and it takes an appetite for the word of God.

He said, Even so the things of man knoweth no man but the spirit of God.

He said, For the spirit searches all things.

Go to the next verse.

Now we have received, listen to this, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit of what?

Which is of God.

Why?

Why'd he give us that?

That we may know the things that are.

I was one verse ahead of you.

Go ahead now.

Which things also we speak, get this.

And this is how he's who is the we there?

That's the ministry.

The we is the ministry.

Um let's go back.

Let's let's go back.

I'd like to say I'd like to I'd like to make sure we're people who have oil in our vessels and understand the things that are freely given to us of God.

Uh this is uh 1 Corinthians.

And Brother Michael, if you will, uh read the uh first verse, please.

1 Corinthians 2 and 1.

He said, and I, brethren, when I came to you.

I'm sorry, one and one and one.

I apologize.

Sorry, okay.

1 Corinthians 1 and 1.

He said, Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes, our brother, unto the church of God.

Okay, these are the two who is actually writing this great epistle.

And so the we, he's making reference to us, us there being the ministry.

That's what he means.

And so he's writing to the dear people of God.

Verse 2 said, unto the church of God, which is at Corinth.

I'm glad that he didn't stop there, or this would only be for the Corinthians, but keep reading.

He said to them which are what?

Sanctified in Christ Jesus.

That's our qualifications.

And what?

Call to be saints.

That's our qualification.

And I love this part because I still could be have some doubt.

I still could be without.

But here you say, with what?

All that in what?

Every place call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Lord, both theirs and what?

And ours.

And ours.

So we can see here, uh, brother, he's not just writing to the church in Corinth, but to all those that are called to be saints, to everybody that's sanctified, to everybody everywhere that calls upon the name of the Lord.

So these epistles are for us as well.

And by the way, uh, I'm glad I mentioned that, just real briefly.

How many epistles did Paul write?

What are they?

No, what are the what are the books that Paul wrote?

Pauline Epistles?

Hebrews, great.

And what are the other group of epistles?

And they are great.

And what's the New Testament history?

New Testament prophecy?

Gospels?

Okay, good.

What did I leave out?

Major and law, major and what?

Minor prophets.

What are the minor?

How many?

And they are?

Malachi Law.

We didn't do that, did we?

Did we really?

Major prophets.

How many?

Which are.

Okay, good.

You all didn't remind me to do the review.

Are y'all trying to slide by?

Okay, now here Paul is as he's making this declaration.

I'm trying to get to the book of Acts.

Forgive me.

I'm taking a little detour here.

And uh look at two and one now and showing you who the we is.

Two and one.

He said, and I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with what?

Nor of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God.

I love this.

He didn't slur Esseus, and he wasn't a great articulator.

He said, For I determined not to know anything among you, save what?

Jesus Christ and him.

Crucified.

Verse 4.

My speech and my preaching was not with what?

Enticing words of man wisdom, but in the demonstration, get this, in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith, your trust and reliance on the Lord to save you, should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the what?

And power of God.

Now, now, now we understand.

Verse, where do we stop at?

Verse 12?

Verse 13?

Now verse 13.

For which things also we speak.

Who's the we?

That's talking about the one who's talking.

That's Paul and Sophanes.

He said, which we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth.

Do you know this Bible is not talking to the outer man, it's talking to the inner man.

Absolutely so.

He said, words, and words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the what?

Holy Ghost teacheth.

What do you mean Holy Ghost teacheth?

It takes the same Holy Ghost that anoints the lips of clay for a man to speak the words of God.

The same Holy Ghost has to anoint your ears to hear.

It takes the same Holy Ghost.

Look what Jesus said in the uh the Gospel of John.

He said, The words which I speak unto you, they are what?

Spirit, and they are the He said, The outer man or the corn of man, he said, flesh and blood, that's the outer man.

It profited nothing.

It profited, he's not talking to that.

And that's why you see so many.

Denomination, sectarian groups, and so much confusion is because this is not a natural book, it's a spiritual book.

Now, let's finish this up in verse 14.

He said, But the what?

The natural man is just a man who has not been born of the spirit of God.

He's just a natural man.

He can be a nice natural man, he can be a very polite natural man, he can even be a goodly man, but he's still natural.

And uh and that's that's it has some good things to be said about great men who are natural.

Look at all those prophets.

Are they all the Bible said the scriptures, listen to this?

Uh 2 Peters 2.

No prophecy of the scriptures in the private interpretation, but holy men of old spake as they was what?

Moved by the Holy Ghost.

And so that's great.

That's great.

But look what Jesus said.

He said, Man born of woman, there is none greater than John the Baptist.

Because John the Baptist was a forerunner of Christ.

He said, How be it?

He that is least in the kingdom of God, that's one someone who has received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, he's greater than John.

He that's least in the kingdom of God is greater than John, and there is no man born among women that was greater than John.

That's because of his message.

But John the Baptist did not have the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

John was born as great as he was, he was born to die.

When we're born, we're born the first time under the death sentence of Adam.

But when you're born again, when you're born from above, you're born to live.

And so now Jesus Christ has actually made it possible that a man, that is his soul, does not have to lose conscience.

You're actually able to live again and live forever.

And that's the great message that those apostles preach.

Uh, Brother Russell, turn it off.

She's cold.

That's the great message that those apostles preach was to give witness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Why was it so great?

Because if he resurrected from the grave, if he actually got up as he said that he would, then thank God that I mean you and I can resurrect also.

And we don't have to wait and go to a natural grave, but we can resurrect out of this old grave suit that I'm in.

This old grave suit that you're in.

And that's the witness that those great apostles gave.

Let's go to the book of Acts.

And Acts is the activity of the apostles.

This is the New Testament history, and this is the people that you and I we have to pattern our life after.

There has, let me make this statement.

Emphatically so, and we're subject to questions here.

There has never been a church.

And the word church just simply means an assembly, a group of people.

There has never been a church like the church that came out on the day of Pentecost.

That first century church is a church that pleased God.

All of their ways, not that they didn't have problems, but they dealt with those problems in a spiritual way.

They didn't get aboard together, they didn't try to figure things out, but those men got hold to the horns of the altar.

They prayed and they petitioned God.

They went to the Holy Writ and got an audience with the Lord, and the Lord directed them.

And this church was actually birth in the fire.

When that church was first inaugurated, this is the church that Jesus Christ Himself established.

When that church was inaugurated on the day of Pentecost, that church was in all of its glory.

It had divine order, it had divine government.

Those apostles knew who their head was.

Their head was Christ.

It wasn't anything but Christ.

It had no other covering over their head.

And unword by Christ, God the Father is always his head.

Jesus said, My Father is greater than I.

I do always those things which please my Father.

And so God the Father was over Jesus, and Jesus was over that New Testament ministry.

That New Testament ministry was the only thing that was over that church.

They didn't have a board, they didn't have anything that would separate them from God.

You couldn't vote a man in and you couldn't vote him out.

Didn't have a church role, you couldn't join the church, nobody couldn't put you in, and nobody couldn't put you out.

The Lord put you in, and thank God, brother, it was the Lord who kept you in as long as you wanted to be kept.

And that's the way that church operated.

It was everything about that church was spiritual.

It was altogether spiritual.

Look how the Bible describes it in the book of Revelation, chapter 12, verse 1.

Revelation 12:1

He said there appeared a great wonder in heaven.

A great wonder.

A woman.

That was that New Testament church.

She was clothed in the Son.

A Son is the teaching of Jesus Christ.

I think he calls the Bible calls that in Malachi chapter 3.

Malachi 3 · chapter mention

He said to you who uh, how you put that?

I'm sorry?

To you that fear.

And to you that fear my name, shall the son, the capital S-U-N, get that from me, Sister Desiree, shall the Son of righteous arise with healing in his wing.

It called Jesus the Son of Righteous.

I'm trying to give you a little bit more appreciation as we get into this wonderful book.

If time does get away from us.

And so here he is.

There appeared a great wonder in heaven.

I'll go back to, uh, yeah, there it is.

He said to you that fear my name, shall, this is talking to the Old Testament patriarchs.

This is talking to the nation of Israel.

He said, Shall listen to this.

Uh, shall the sun, do you see that word?

Capital S-U-N.

He didn't say S-O-N, S-U-N.

Shall the Son of Righteousness.

Why did he call Jesus Christ the Son of Righteousness?

Because everything lives by sunlight.

Nothing lives by moonlight.

And Jesus Christ is the sun.

He's the S-U-N.

The world revolves around him.

Everything.

Everything reverts around him.

And so he's called the Sun.

Do you know what the sun does?

It doesn't just give life, and it does give life.

Thank God for that.

But the sun cast off all shadows.

The sun cast away darkness.

Darkness in the Bible represents ignorance.

It represents obliviousness.

You can't see.

But that's what the sun does.

When the sun rises, thank God it's daylight, isn't it?

You can see, and not on that it produces life.

He said, So for you that fear his name, shall the sun, the capital S-U-N of righteousness, arise with healing in his wings.

Well, is he an eagle?

No, he's not an eagle.

His wings is the old and the new testament.

That's what he's making reference to.

The Bible said, He that dwell in the secret place, Psalms 91, of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God, and him will I trust.

And listen to this: He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his feathers is just the word of God.

And under his wings, that's the old and the New Testament, shall you trust.

Aren't you glad he's covering you?

Thank God, I'm glad about that.

And so here he says, okay, shall the Son of righteous arise with healing that is in his wings, and you shall go forth.

Listen to those apostles, as what?

Calves of the stars.

And that's what those apostles was.

Brother, they started off, brother Michael young.

They were just calves.

But after the day of Pentecost, those calves became oxen.

And the Bible said, where there is no oxen, the crib.

That's the corn crib is clean.

What's an oxen?

An oxen is a beast of burden.

He's one that actually bears a yoke.

And brother, he plows up the corn, he grinds it up.

That's why the Bible called ministers oxen.

And of course, there's another term for ministers, too.

You don't want to be one of them.

The Bible also called ministers asses.

ASS, a jackass.

You know what it is?

He said that you shouldn't plow with an ox and an ass together.

A jackass is a beast of burden, but he's stubborn.

He's obstinate.

You ever try to work a jackass?

He's gonna do what he wants to do.

But an ox is just a bull that's been castrated.

He can't do anything on his own, but he can't reproduce.

And see any man who God has called, the first thing he has to do is take away that desire a man has to reproduce himself.

We're trying to work for another.

We're trying to reproduce little Jesus, not little brother Michael's, not little brother Jeff's, not little brother Hilton's, but little Jesus, what we're trying to produce.

And so that's called an oxen in the Bible.

And so it grew up as calves of the stall.

But thank God, brother, uh, on the day of Pentecost, those men was no longer calves, they became oxen.

They became oxen and they was mighty to labor.

And the Bible said, Much increase is by the what?

By the strength of the oxen.

Paul says that.

He said, Thou shalt not muzzle the moth or the oxen that tread at the corn.

Does he say these things, Paul said, because he cares about the oxen?

No.

He said, It's written no down for our sake.

It is written, I will be in the ministry.

And so he can begin to see, here's that woman.

You can tell it has some sugar.

Kind of like Brother Jeff.

I'm kind of racing a little bit.

But uh back to Revelation.

Here's this great.

Listen to this.

This is what you're reading in the book of Acts.

There appeared a great wonder in heaven.

And let me explain that heaven.

That's not the heaven you see out yonder.

Anything that's elevated is a heavenly state.

Remember how Paul says in Ephesians 2, he's quickened us together, raised us up together, and made us sit together in what?

Heavenly places.

So that heaven was a heavenly realm.

That's not third heaven.

That's not what God the Father dwelled.

You know there are three heavens, don't you?

Paul said, I knew a man above Christ above 14 years ago.

In the body, out of the body, I cannot tell how such a one was caught up to what?

Unto third heaven.

That must be a first, and that must be a second.

But nevertheless, here, okay, this is a heavenly realm, a spiritual realm.

He said, look, here it is.

Here's the great wonder.

A woman.

That was that New Testament church.

She was clothed with the sun.

That's the teaching of Jesus Christ.

The moon.

You know what the moon is?

It's a lesser light.

It has a light, but it's a lesser light.

Sister Christine, you ever watch the moon?

You look at the moon.

Some nights it's full.

Next time it's a quarter moon, it's a half moon.

Well, that's the way the Old Testament was.

And you look at it, sometimes they had a righteous king like Hezekiah.

The moon was full.

You could see moonlight.

The next time you had somebody like Manasseh, you didn't see no light.

You go out there again, that was a quarter light.

It says about King Ahaz, he did that which was right, but not with a perfect heart.

And so that moon was only half full.

But thank God when you look at the sun, you don't see no quarter sun, do you?

You don't see no half sun.

You either see the sun or you don't.

And thank God for that.

That's the teaching of Christ.

Okay, here's the moon.

That's the law of Moses.

Brother, it was under her feet.

Brother Michael, showing you, brother, she had overcame that.

And here she is.

I love this.

He said, and upon her head, that's that New Testament church was the crown of what?

Twelve stars.

What's those stars in the Bible?

That's making reference to ministers.

Revelation chapter 1 and chapter 2, he writes unto the seven churches of angels, and he calls them the 12 stars that was in his hands.

Revelation 1 · chapter mention

He said the 12 stars are the 12 angels or ministers.

And so those are all parabolic language.

It takes the Holy Ghost to see these things, doesn't it?

It really does.

And we don't make this up.

How do you interpret the Bible?

The Bible interprets itself.

We don't use anything but the Bible.

We don't use commentaries or men's interpretation.

The natural man received not the things of the Spirit of God.

The Bible will tell you what the Sun is.

It'll tell you what the moon is.

It'll tell you what the stars are.

It'll tell you what's an angel.

Absolutely tell you what the sun.

Aren't you glad for that?

And so here's this wonderful woman.

Here's this wonderful church that came out on the day of Pentecost.

Now, of course, verse 2 began to deal with the dragon, but let's go to Acts where we stop.

Which chapter we stop in?

Four.

Let's pick it up right there.

And you're going to see this woman.

You've seen her officiating in chapter 2.

That is when Peter began to tell him to repent and be and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

That was that woman that was clothed in the Son.

She was officiating.

In chapter 3, you can see that great woman officiating when Peter actually had a man that was raised from an important state that he was in all of his days.

He was lame in his feet.

That was that woman again officiated.

And you can actually see her.

That is, was a ministry as he went forth, began to preach a great message in chapter 3.

Did we read chapter 4?

No, sir.

Okay.

Now, if we fit if we concluded that chapter 3, here's a great message that Peter preached.

It starts actually in the 13th chapter.

I'm sure I remember we read that we read that out.

And as he was finishing this message, look what happened in chapter 4, verse 1.

Now, here's some interesting terms, and I think we should always take note of these terms.

You'll never see Peter say it's my ministry, or James, or John, but it's always our ministry.

It was always we and us.

And Paul then make reference to himself very solemnly, but he always used the term we and us.

It's not a one-man show.

Any man left to himself is a dangerous man.

He's a dangerous man.

And uh the Lord didn't trust flesh on nobody's back.

That's why he sent them out two by two.

Absolutely so.

Any man left to himself is a dangerous man.

And so now Peter and verse 4, Peter was a spokesman, but Peter wasn't by himself.

It was Peter and it was John.

Look at verse uh chapter 3, verse 1.

Now Peter and John went up together.

Do you see that?

And it's always that way.

There should always be a ministry and not a minister.

That is dangerous.

Now, chapter 4, verse 1.

As they, whose are they?

Peter and John.

But Peter was the one who spoke, but it wasn't just Peter.

John was speaking too, but he didn't open his mouth.

Brother, he was right there with him.

He lent the spirit to him.

He was bagging them in his heart.

So when Peter spoke, he was speaking for the both of them.

Now, as they spake unto the people, look what happened.

The priest and the what?

And the that's all the religious leaders.

Being grieved, came upon them, being grieved that they taught the people.

My God, wouldn't you want people to know the truth?

Well, they were grieved that they taught the people and preached through Jesus.

Here's another thing, the what?

Brother, that was offensive.

And they laid hands on them, and I promise you there was no oil.

That's not what they meant.

When they laid hands on them, I mean they put them in prison.

It wasn't nice, brother.

It wasn't nice.

They laid hands on them and put them in hold, that's a prison, until the next day, for it was now even time.

Howbeit, it was too late, brother.

You could put them in prison, but those people who had ears to hear heard the word of God.

Howbeit, many of them which heard the word believed.

And the number of men of the men was about five thousand.

It came to pass on the morrow that their rulers, what rulers?

They're religious rulers.

And the what?

Elders, that's the Sanhedrin councils, and the scribe, and listen, and Ananias to who?

And Caiapus and John and Alexander, and as many was of the kindren of the high priest, was gathered together at Jerusalem.

My God.

And when he set them in the midst, they asked, by what power?

Or by what name?

That is what authority.

When you say what name, you make a note of the authority.

You ever seen somebody deliver your mail?

He don't all come to you and say, Well, I deliver this mail in the name of the United States Postal Service.

But that's what he's doing.

He doesn't open his mouth, but he's officiating that name.

Brother Jeff got a revelation.

He got pulled over not long ago.

And our brother Philip got the same revelation a few nights ago.

Lights came on.

He pulled over.

No one got out and say, I'm officiating in the name of the state of Louisiana.

When you saw those lights, you saw that badge, you saw that hat, you knew who was officiating, whose name he was officiating in.

Yes.

You twain should be one.

Absolutely.

So the point is, they want to know by what power?

Or by what name, that is, what authority have you done this?

Because they weren't Pharisees, they weren't Sadducees, they weren't of the priests.

Who gave you the authority to preach?

Who gave you the authority to teach?

You know, you could have grabbed one of those apostles, brother Ray, by their ankles and shook those men all day long.

You wouldn't have got a preacher license to come out of those men.

You could have taken those men and you could have drilled them all day.

They wouldn't have told you I went to the school of divinity.

Brother, those men sat at Jesus Christ's feet.

That's where they learned.

They learned the word of God at the master's feet.

They was not defiled with religious concepts nor tradition.

All they spoke was the word of God, the word of God, and nothing but the word of God.

And so these are religious leaders, they wanted to know.

In verse 8, get this.

And here's the point.

We want to always remember.

Then Peter, here's the key.

Fill with the what?

You're going to see that term redundantly.

That's not mean baptized with the Holy Ghost.

He was baptized with the Holy Ghost in chapter 2, verse 1, verse 3, I'm sorry.

This is not, this field here means that there's controlled by, under the influence of, segurated by.

Everything that New Testament church did was by the Holy Ghost.

That was the spiritual people.

They didn't lean to their own understanding.

They didn't vote things in and vote things out.

And they didn't all get together and come up with concoct some ideal.

But brother, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost used the word of God and that was in the heart of those men and made those men know what to do.

God help us to return to that.

That's what we're striving for.

Then Peter, listen to this.

Fear with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, listen to this, Peter, you have to appreciate this.

Do you not know, Sister Tangela, that it wasn't, that it wasn't but two months earlier?

That the same Peter denied the Lord three times?

The same Peter, the same Peter denied he even knew him.

And when the young man said, you do know him, you're one of them, your speech uh that is a test to it.

Peter started cursing.

He started cursing the damsel.

Damsel means young lady.

Cursed her.

Why?

Why would he do that?

He wasn't because he didn't love the Lord.

He said that all men forsake you, I'll never forsake you.

But Jesus Christ made a statement which is the truth in the Garden of Gethsemane.

He said the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Put enough heat on you.

You will be surprised what come out of you.

And listen, Peter was in a hot position, brother.

He saw Jesus Christ over there.

He seen first he was tried in Ananias, and then he went to Caipus, and then he went to Herod.

He saw that.

He saw this man was dripping with blood, brother, from them lashing his back open, then plucked his beard out of his face.

The Bible said his vintage was marked more than any man.

Peter looked at that.

And Peter wasn't, he didn't have a rabbit in his blood.

He was a strong man.

And I don't, I don't ridicule Peter.

I don't.

I admire him for this fact.

And you say, well, he denied the Lord thrice or three times.

Yes, he did.

But where was the other eleven?

Or the other ten?

They ran the same night.

At least Peter stayed around and he kept trying.

I commend him for that.

But you can't do this in the flesh.

And at Peter's best, that's all he had.

All he had was a good intent.

He didn't have the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

But now you're talking to a different Peter.

Not only was it just six days later, but brother, this is after he had received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Before he denied he even knew the Lord.

And now here they are, they dragged him before the council.

And they and listen, they boastful.

They're loud.

They're saying, by what power or what authority have you, or you've done these things.

Brother, but the Holy Ghost was in Peter.

And it was not just in him.

It's one thing to have the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it's something else to use it.

And the Bible says here, Peter being filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Listen to this man, you rulers of the people and elders of Israel.

Does that sound like somebody shaking in his boots?

I don't think so.

He said, If we, not me, we, that's this New Testament ministry.

John and Peter was representing at this time, he said, if we disday, he's pretty emphatic, isn't it?

If we be examined of the good deed done to the imposed man or by what means he is made whole, be it known unto you all.

My God.

And he didn't stop there.

He said unto all the people of Israel, that by the name of who?

Jesus Christ.

And he didn't stop there to show you there was no rabbit in him, to show you he was filled with the Holy Ghost, he said, whom you crucified.

The same man, brother, who ran some six days earlier, brother, there was no rabbit at all left in him.

When a man has a baptism of the Holy Ghost and he has a conviction, what are you gonna do with that man?

You can't strike fear in somebody's heart whose conscience, brother, is toward God.

What are you gonna do with him?

The strongest thing a man has is conscience.

And brother, if his conscience is toward the word of God, he has a baptism of the Holy Ghost.

How are you gonna scare him?

How are you gonna strike fear in somebody's heart, brother, uh, who realized to die's gain, to live as Christ in the die's game?

What are you gonna do with a man like that?

You know, they did crucify Peter, they really did, uh, some 40 years later.

But you know, he made a request.

Have you read Fox's Book of Mourn?

He said, I only have one request.

I'm not worthy to die like my Savior.

So when they crucified him, crucified him upside down.

But it wasn't no rabbit in his blood.

When Paul was to be put to death, these men was led by the Holy Ghost.

You couldn't fear those men, couldn't put fear in those men.

When Paul was uh was to be uh tried before uh uh King Emperor, uh uh it wasn't Agrippa, it was uh uh Nero who put him to death.

Brother Paul didn't have any rabbit in his blood.

He said, Listen, look what he says.

He said, I've finished my course, I've kept the faith, I've fought a good fight.

Thank God, brother, he said, I'm ready to be offered up.

You didn't have to drag him down there.

Brother, he went, he walked.

And even Peter, he said, The Lord has shown me that I must soon take off this my tabernacle.

Thank God, brother, if you got the Holy Ghost, you don't have to fear death.

Why would you fear anything?

Nothing can happen to you except the Lord permit it.

If he permitted, it must be good.

And so here's Peter with no wrapping his blood, he said uh by the name of Jesus of Nazareth, verse 10.

Whom you have crucified, whom God has raised from the dead.

He wasn't ashamed of the gospel.

He was not ashamed of it.

He said, Even by him do this man stand here before you whole.

He didn't stop there.

He said, This is the stone.

This is the stone which was set at naught, that is made of nothing of you builders, which has become the what?

What does he mean, you builders?

Do you know they were supposed to have been building the kingdom of God, Brother Elton?

The religious leaders, even today, are supposed to be building the kingdom of God.

But guess what they were doing?

They was building their own kingdom.

The Pharisees was building the Pharisees' kingdom, the Sadducees, the Sadducees, the Essenes, the Essenes, and the Bible said the house of the Lord was lying waste.

And here's the chief cornerstone.

Here he comes.

He was rejected of the builders.

He was rejected of the builders.

What is that?

Matthew's 21, 42.

Pick it up in verse 33, real quick.

Verse 33.

He said, Hear ye another parable.

That was a certain householder with planted planted a vineyard, hesit about, and dig the wine press in it.

That's God the Father, and the vineyard is the nation of Israel.

You see that in Isaiah chapter 5.

Isaiah 5 · chapter mention

He called Israel his vineyard.

He said, and built a tower, let it out the husbandman, and went into a far country.

That's the religious leaders and the far countries back to third heaven.

He said, When the time of fruit drew near, he sent to his servants to the husband that they might receive the fruits of it.

The servants, of course, have been the prophets.

He said the husbandman and his religious leaders and the servants of prophets.

He said, and the husbandman took his servants, beat one, killed another, stoned another.

That's what the religious leaders did to every one of the prophets.

Jesus Christ said, Which of the prophets have you not stoned?

Which of them have you not put to death?

It's what he told Israel.

Again he sent other servants more than the first, and they did unto them likewise.

But last of all he sent unto them his son.

That's God the Father sending his son.

They will reverence my son.

But look what the religious leaders did.

But when the husband saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir.

Come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

And that's why the Pharisees, Sadducees, Essecenes, Zillah, Corodius put him to death.

They wanted to be the head.

They wanted the honor that God the Father wanted.

They wanted that.

Men love praise.

That's why they turn collars around backwards.

That's why they're called right reverend, left reverend, most reverend.

Brother, the Bible said, Holy and Reverend is his name.

He said, You're all brothers.

Let's keep reading.

He said, and they caught him and cast him out of the vineyard and slew him.

When the Lord therefore, when the Lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do to those husbandmen?

Well, they knew the answer.

They said unto him, talking to Jesus, He would miserably destroy those wicked men.

And that's what Jesus Christ did when he came in his second coming.

He came in destruction in 70 AD.

He destroyed the religious leaders and let out his vineyards unto what?

Other husbands.

That was the New Testament ministry, which shall render him what?

Fruits in their seasons.

They answered right.

In verse 42, Jesus said unto them, Did you never read in the scripture?

The stone which the builders, the stone was Jesus, the builders is the religious leaders, rejected.

The same has become the what?

Head of the corner.

Head of the corner.

This is the Lord's doing.

You rejected me, but this is the Lord's doing, God the Father.

And it is what?

Marvelous in eye.

Verse 43.

Therefore I say unto you, that is the religious builders of that day, the kingdom of God shall be what?

Taken from you and given to a nation, bringing forth fruits, the fruits thereof.

That was the nation that was born in a day, on the day of Pentecost.

Let's go back to that make sense to you?

Okay, let's go back to Acts.

Let's speed this up a little bit.

I love verse 12.

Let's read this together.

This is a revelation.

Are you there with me?

4 and 12.

Neither is there what?

What any other what?

Any other what?

Is there salvation in the name of Jehovah?

No.

That's no salvation.

Jehovah Jarah?

Jehovah Tiskanu?

Jehovah Raphae?

Jehovah Nisa?

Elohim?

El Shaddai?

No.

That's no salvation.

Those names are all titles of God.

Those are titles.

Jesus is the only name that a man can be saved in.

That is his salvation.

That's our salvation.

It's in Jesus.

It's not in uh Muhammad.

It's not in a denomination.

It's the name of Jesus.

He said, Neither is there salvation in any other.

For there is none other.

Read it with me.

For there is what?

Given among men, whereby we what?

Brother, whatever you do in word or deed to do all in the name of Jesus, there is no salvation in any other.

Absolutely not.

None.

A denomination can't save you.

A rabbi can't save you.

A priest can't save you.

Brother, it's only in the name of Jesus can you be saved.

Everything you receive, salvation, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, it all comes in his name.

Yes.

Then, now look at verse 13.

Now, when they saw the what?

The boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, don't mean these men couldn't read and write.

Peter wrote the first and second of Peter.

And John wrote the book, the Gospel of John, plugs 1, 2nd, and 3 John.

So when he said ignorant and unlearned, he means concerning their theology.

He wasn't a Sadducee or Pharisee.

So they considered him to be ignorant and unlearned.

But look what happened.

I love this part.

And they took knowledge of them that they had what?

That they had been with Jesus.

Brother, isn't that wonderful?

And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

But when they commanded him to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, What shall we do to these men?

What are we going to do with them?

They had a problem with it.

Verse 17, that it spread no further among the people.

Let us straightly do what?

That they henceforth speak no man in this name.

But I love this.

Look at verse 18.

Now they called him and commanded them to not to speak at all, nor to teach in the name of Jesus.

Verse 19.

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, you judge.

Read this 20 verse with me.

For we cannot but what?

Speak the things which we have heard.

My God.

Brother, what a conviction.

How can you deny what the Lord has done for you?

You know, I keep telling the same for 23 years.

I've been telling the same thing over and over.

I can't help it.

I was driving down the highway minding my own business.

Sunroof was up, Michael Jackson thrillers on the tape, and the Lord began to deal with my heart.

Show me how wretched I was.

First, I felt good.

Boy, you got money in your pocket.

Yeah, money in both pockets, both pockets.

Boy, you're clean.

Oh, clean, clean, clean, clean, clean.

Boy, you take real good care of yourself.

Look good, look, oh, look real good, real good.

But look how you beat people.

Yeah.

I do a little bit.

Look how you lie and cheat.

Well, everybody else do it.

You don't take time with your kids.

You're too busy for your wife.

That might be true.

And brother, before long, tears started running down my eyes.

I didn't know if I was gonna even make it home.

My grandfather always told me, before a man die, he sees his life.

Wasn't no doubt in my mind, brother, I was in trouble.

When I remember getting across the Zammer Bridge, Brother Elton, I said, I thank the Lord gonna let me live.

Tears running down my eyes, man, crying like a baby.

I was a miserable wretch undone.

Got to my house February 8th, 1985.

Found me a New Testament Bible belongs to Grace.

It's one I had hid from him.

She used to read them.

I used to hide them from her.

I found one that I had hid up under the mattress on my side of the bed.

I'll never forget it.

And I sat down the first time in my life and started reading the Bible.

And Mother God made a change in my life from that day to this when I've never looked back.

Now, how can I deny that?

You can't take that away from me.

That's my testimony.

I seen that.

I felt that.

That's my testimony.

I'll die telling you that testimony.

And this is what these men saying.

How can we but speak the things which we've seen and heard?

We can't deny that.

Peter was a fisherman.

He was a cursing fisherman.

Matthew was a tax collector.

The Lord touched their mind, let them follow him and taught him the good word of God, then the word of God, and say, Now you are cleansed through the words which I have spoken unto you.

Peter said, I can't deny that.

He had the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

That was the power of Brother Jeff often said, The do the most, brother, to do what's right.

That was the power to live an overcoming life.

He said, Brother, we can't deny that.

Now listen to this.

Verse 20.

So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing where they might punish them.

Now go over this.

Go down and listen to this.

Verse 23.

And being let go, here's a revelation.

Don't go home and cry to your spouses.

Don't go home and feel sorry.

That's not what they did.

Being let go, they went to their what?

That's the people of God.

They went back to the assemblies.

They went back to their own company and reported all that the what and when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God.

This is the whole assembly now, with one accord and said, Lord, thou art God, which has made heaven and earth and the sea and all that are in them.

Is who by the mouth of thy servant David said, Why did the heathen rage?

Brother, I love about this people.

You will see this, that was a well-read people.

You will see Peter on the day of Pentecost reach over there and Job, pull that scripture out in Job chapter 2.

Job 2 · chapter mention

These men is not drunk as you suppose, but this is that which is spoken by the prophet Job.

Everything came out of those men's mouth was the word of God.

They didn't use their reason and their intellect.

They didn't use mind over matter.

They didn't use psychology.

They used the word of God.

The Holy Ghost touched those men's minds, and the Holy Ghost, brother, pull those scriptures out.

He can't bring your remembrance what you don't know.

That's why you have to read the word of God every day.

Get addicted to it.

The Holy Ghost talks.

That's his vocabulary.

It's these 66 books.

This 1189 chapter.

That's the vocabulary of God.

That's how he talks to you.

It's out of the scriptures.

And so Peter began to quote Psalms 1.

He said, when they said that's why David said, Why does the heathen rage?

Who was the heathen?

That was wrong.

He said, and the people imagine a vain thing.

The people was making reference to the nation of Israel.

It was vain for them to think you're getting rid of the God's son.

That's a vain talk.

He said, The rulers, Brother Michael.

He said, go to Psalms 1.

Pull it up.

He's quoting Psalms 1, and I'm going to close this out.

I know we're getting late on time.

Go to Psalms 1.

Psalms 2, I said Psalms 1.

Psalms 2.

Brother, I want you to get this.

This scripture was written a thousand years before Peter quoted it.

Here is where he's applying the scripture.

Go to verse 1 first.

This is what this is what the Holy Ghost gave Peter.

This is why these things would happen.

He said, Why do the heathen rage?

That's wrong.

That's all the heathenists, everybody out yonder.

Why are they raging?

Pop this polyp.

Hemorrhage.

They was raging, threatening the Lord, trying to get rid of them.

And the people, that's the nation of Israel.

Imagine a what?

Verse 2.

He said, And the kings of the earth, they set themselves.

These are natural kings.

And the rulers, that's the Pharisees, Sadducees, that's Ananias, that's Anazhan, that's Calipus, and that's all the elders, they take counsel together against the Lord, that's God the Father, and against his what?

That's Jesus Christ.

Well, you know, when you're trying to fight the will of God, you're fighting God.

And you come against the man whom God has touched his mind and given him the thought to do what he's doing, even not fighting that man, you're fighting God.

Well, then actually you're fighting Jesus.

And by fighting Jesus, you're fighting God.

And that's what he said.

He said, listen, against the Lord and against his what?

This is what they were saying.

They didn't say with their mouth, but this is what their action says.

Let us break their what?

Brother, we don't want to be constrained with the laws of God.

Let's break the bands.

We're gonna be rulers.

Let's break the band and cast their coils from us.

We don't want these restrictions.

Jesus Christ said, if a man smack you on one cheek, turn the other, we don't want that.

Uh brother, if he bid me to go with them a mile, go twain.

We don't want that.

Let us break the bands and cast their coils from us.

He that sitteth in the heavens, that's an S on that, that's the Father, that's God.

He shall what?

The Lord is gonna have them in derision.

That was in 70 AD.

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath.

That's the nation of Israel in 70 AD, and vex them in his what?

Keep going.

Yet have I set my king, that's Jesus the Messiah, upon my what?

Holy hill of Zion.

That's his king, that's his New Testament church.

And I will declare the decree, this is God the Father.

The Lord has said unto me, Thou art my what?

This day have I keep going.

Act of me, and I will give thee the heathens for thy inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

He has done that.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron, and thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

Be wise now, therefore, O you kings, and be instructed, you judges of the earth.

Serve the Lord with what?

And rejoice with.

I love this next verse.

Kiss the Son.

That's what we're trying to do.

That's an act of affection.

When you throw your hands up and begin to praise the Lord, brother, that's an act of kindness, an act of affection.

You kissing the Lord.

You're kissing him.

You kiss him when you can feel him.

When you feel the Spirit of God moving upon you, brother, show the Lord you love him.

Raise your hands up.

He kissed the Lord while he is what?

Kiss the Lord lest he be what?

Angerish, and you perish from the way.

When his wrath is kennened but a little.

Blessed are they that put their what?

Trust in him.

When they begin to quote this Psalms, and they didn't quote it all, but you can see the uh 26 and 27, they quoted that.

But I want to get to this point right here, verse 29.

And now, Lord, behold, they're threatening.

And grant, are you there with me?

And grant unto thy servants that with all what?

Boldness they may speak thy word.

By stretching forth thy hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they was assembled together, and they was all what?

And they already had the baptism, but brother, that was the Holy Ghost movement.

And they brother, and they spake the word of God with what?

With boldness.

Isn't that wonderful?

Isn't that wonderful?

Let me finish this on out.

And then it goes on to say, verse 32, and the multitude of them that believed was of what?

One heart, and uh neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things not in common, they had in common.

That's a big difference.

Uh Brother Michael and I have similar suits.

But Brother Michael's suit is his suit, mine's is mine.

We have them in common.

But when we both wear the same suit, then we have it common.

When my house is your house, and what I have is what you have, then we have it common.

And they didn't have things in common, they had in common.

And that's something we have to work on.

That's why we fellowship.

Uh that's why we eat dinner on Sundays as often as we can.

That's why we go to house to house.

We're trying to have things common.

We're not there yet, but we have to keep working on it.

This is the way the New Testament church operated.

And of course, I'll close this out right here.

He said, and with uh great power gave the apostles witness of the what?

And great grace was upon all of them.

Neither was there any among them that lacked, for as many as possessors of house and land, sold them, and brought the price of the things that were sold, laid them down at the apostles' feet.

Distribution was made as every man, according as every man had what?

Greed.

No, need.

That's why you can't do it today because it's too much greed.

But brother, when there's a New Testament church and divine order, brother, it will be fairness, there'll be justice, there'll be the righteousness in the kingdom of God.

That's enough on this.

I know kids got to go to school tomorrow.

But brother, can you see that New Testament church?

Can you see how that church officiated, how it was inaugurated, how it was governed.

That was the only thing that sustained that church was the word of God and the Spirit of God.

They didn't have traditions, they didn't have ritualism, they didn't have dogmas and church teachings.

And brother, all they had was the good word of God and the Holy Ghost.

I longed to see a church like the first that came out on the day of Pentecost.

And brother, that's my vision.

That's my hope.

Are we there?

We're a long way from it, but we gotta keep heaven in view.

We have to keep striving.
