Hope, Stick-to-intiveness and Transformation

I am a serpent peacewind to the test again.

Just when I think we don't think oh this man, I'm so weak to show me that sick.

What I could say is that I've went to all the way.

He gives me more when I took it to this man.

That's when I take that up.

When I showed He not just show me He lifts me up when I come in this care.

He gives me hope when I took it to despair.

Just when I went above in my shock, he might just show when you show me.

God sent his son that made from my brother.

They're foolish for water.

They didn't want his love.

Don't be good in here.

What God was saying that day.

I sent my precious son to Oshold since away.

He gives me old when I'm too few to despair.

Just when I think that I'm a host in my straw.

He finds a special way to show me.

He lifts me up when I'm down and discouraged.

He gives me hope when I'm tempted to despair.

Just when I think that I belong in my shoe.

He finds my show when to show me.

It gives me up when I'm down and discovered.

It is the hope when I'm too too despair.

Just when I say that I'm almost in my store.

In my class I show when to show this.

But not to stay back there.

It's my man's fellow with you all the way.

He gives me hope when I'm too few to despair.

He finds a special way to show his life.

He listened up when I'm down in this care.

He gave people when I'm tipping to this.

We might have so when we show me.

He gives me hope when I'm tempted to despair.

Just when I think that I will hold in my school.

He finds a special way to show me there.

God's in his heart.

Therefore, it's once we're honest.

Bathing and won his nuts.

Don't they couldn't hear what God was saying that day?

It's so amazing what the Lord will do.

He comes today.

But helping is on its way.

No cloud break in your smile.

It's so amazing what the Lord will do.

I've never seen a righteous forsake God, nor is he begging for praise of God in my mind.

And a two head sword in my head.

Into the prime.

Oh, with the high greatness of God in my mouth.

Better to let his border in my head.

I'm going to walk down the victorious time.

Oh the victory.

Don't you feel good today?

Don't you feel uh victorious today?

I feel like a conqueror today.

More than a conqueror, Brother Bradley.

I'm excited.

The Lord has given us a hope.

He's given us something we're striving for.

And I believe that we can make it.

I feel the Lord's encouragement today.

Saying, go on.

Keep pushing.

Keep pressing.

Keep striving.

Don't give up.

Don't get weird, brother Phillips.

And well doing.

We'll reap.

I'm talking about reap in due season.

If we faint.

So I'm happy today, people of God.

I'm encouraged today, people of God.

I started thinking about my hope.

I started thinking about my testimony.

How the Lord brought me this way, and he didn't call any of us not to make it.

When he called us, he said, You can make it.

You can make it.

You can make it.

He gave you the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

He's giving you a God sent ministry.

And he's giving you the word of God.

He's giving you all things that pertain to life and godliness.

So it don't matter what you're going through.

We're saying something hallelujah.

Anyhow.

We're not going to let our troubles get us down.

When hard trials come your way, hold your head up high and say, hallelujah.

Hallelujah.

You know the joy of the Lord is your strength.

So when you're going through sometimes, you just gotta lift up holy hands without wrathing, without doubting.

You start looking up to the hills from which cometh your help.

You know, David said this.

He said, I was young and now I'm old.

He said, but I never, I mean, never, hold up.

That's his testimony.

I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed, bacon bread.

So the only thing I want to do, Brother Phillip, is make my calling and my election.

Sure.

I don't have to worry about all those days that the Gentile seek after.

But if I seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, everything that I want and need, it'll be added unto me.

Let me just put it first.

Let me put him in his rightful place.

He'll take care of me.

You know if he's Lord or if he's your master, you know the master take care of the servant.

I just have to let him be my master.

Take off this head.

Let me be beheaded for the gospel.

Let me put Christ on me.

He'll take care of all my needs.

I'm talking about all of them, not some of them, but all of them.

People got them happy today.

You should be joyous today.

We sing a song that says, um, what's Psalms 34?

It says make no, I'm a psalm 34, Psalms 100.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

All ye lands.

I'm about to misquote it.

Lord, what's wrong with me?

Serve the Lord with gladness.

I'm talking about, hold up.

He wants you to serve him, hold up, stay there.

He wants you to serve him cheerfully, joyously, happily.

That's what he wants to see.

When you come before a king, let's not have a sad countenance, but a happy countenance, a joyous countenance, a glad countenance.

He says, Come before his presence with singing.

And that's what I heard today.

All the people of God with singing.

Next verse.

He says, Know ye not that the Lord He is God.

It is that's a revelation.

He that He that has made us and not we ourselves.

Hold up, this is the beautiful part.

Everybody can't say this last part.

Everybody can't say this.

We are his people and the sheep of his pastures.

Hold up.

So that's what?

Enter into his gate with thanksgiving.

And into his courts with praise.

Let's be faithful unto the Lord and bless his name.

For the Lord is what?

Good.

His mercy is what?

Everlasting.

And it's truth.

People of God, let's give our praise in the honor of God today.

Little by little, and every way, Jesus is changing me.

He changed me.

We have people from Languages and I won't so you know how I think is more important.

You complaining about a email, somebody else has an application, so rambling at all.

I have some things, you know, I have to look forward to it.

You know, every everywhere that I've been all these two thousand nine.

Along the way.

And but I'm still here and I'm still present, man.

And so I I know I'm gonna say the same things and keep going, man.

I don't have a I don't have a reason or an hour to win out.

And so when I look at him to have people look at me, of course you can pass all the natural because all that has changed in every every day.

I'm taking care of that.

But let them see the common denominator and hopefully my mouth opening portrays me and they'll say with Christ.

Because he was the comma denominator all this weight, and he's gonna be the one to see me through grateful to be here.

Uh rehearsing at the end of this meeting, uh Friday.

I'm just thankful that they're being helped the Lord.

You can't help it.

Thank you, Lord.

Uh I'm just I'm just so thankful to be here.

I'm so thankful for this uh this way.

Uh I'm not just saying that.

Uh just rehearsing my testimony and just thinking back when I was uh 12 years old and going through uh a life change of experience when my dad when my dad dying.

And it wasn't just uh I I remember I had to explain this to a first cousin of mine.

He was like, it's gonna be alright, you just like one of us now.

And I'm like, no, I actually had a father that was in the house.

I'm not like one of y'all.

Uh and it wasn't it wasn't that I was a better, I just knew that that was a that was a special relationship I had.

Somebody actually in the house, I actually had a damp one in the house.

And that person was going at a technical point in my life, so I could go all kind of way.

So I brother Brown this morning in the meeting, you were talking about just being a social person and just away of the area.

And what I seen from the age of 12 all the way up until I was 18 was a grown man sleeping in the house at 12 o'clock, one o'clock in the evening, uh, not going to work, using it, why.

Uh just different things like that.

So that's now that's what I see.

I went from seeing a household that God blessed me with.

But also, and I I actually resented God for a long time.

That's what that's what took me so long to come to God because I was just, I just couldn't believe why would you take some of those pressures away?

But I look back now and I can just see the Lord in it the whole time.

Uh I don't think I'll be in this in this position in my past, but I hate to say it like that.

Sometimes we gotta go through things.

Just to get closer to God.

So I appreciate every little thing I went through.

I don't even cry about it no more.

I just thank the Lord about it.

Because I know it could be worse than what I'm at.

Uh so I just appreciate where I'm at now.

I get to break that generational curse.

I get to give my kids and my wife something I never had before.

And that's a key, that's a way to eternal life.

So I'm just thankful.

It's not about the riches and uh, it's not about none of that.

It's about how how can I stay in the will of God?

So I'm learning his way by being in this in this ministry and being a part of this ministry, and I just not just a ministry.

I'm the ministry pointing us to Christ because one thing I don't want to be, and I remember I remember when I first came here and I talked to Brother Rod on the first day here, and uh he was asking about me.

You know, just he was inquiring just like anybody else that comes there, he was inquiring because he's a real shit, but he wants to know why you what's the point of your coming?

Are you just coming?

Just to come on, you're coming to be a part.

And I remember I told him, I don't know if you remember this, but I wanted to be around an older man that just knew the way of life.

I knew I couldn't get it from my peers.

I had a friend of mine before I came in here that got I'm not sure if you remember, but he ended up getting murdered.

He ended up getting killed in Tibetan.

So I couldn't, that's I can't get counsel from all my my inner circle.

I gotta I have to I have to seek out the people that's doing right.

And it took it took for me to uh this is my testimony, it took for me to just remove myself from that situation.

Remove myself, sounds cruel, but from my natural family at that moment, because I wasn't strong enough to be around that shit.

I just had to get enough strength in my body, enough strength in my heart, enough strength in my soul uh where I can just now if I'm around now, I could be an example.

I didn't realize why uh God was allowing me to just put a wedge in my heart.

He didn't want me so close.

I couldn't even be around my mother at that time.

And that hurt in my heart because at that time she was all I had.

I didn't have the Lord.

I didn't have him.

I didn't know where I was gonna go.

But if it wasn't for this gospel in this way, I wouldn't be here today.

I can I can generally have a joy in my heart, praising the Lord.

I can draw strength from the people of God.

I'm not scared of death.

I embrace it, I embrace my life.

And look, I know my words will come for me.

I understand the word of God, I really do.

But now I just want to apply myself in the word of God.

Now I just want to do the word of God.

I don't want to be a spectator, I don't want to look at, I don't want to look outwardly and be like, okay, he got it.

Or I I I want to be around, no, I'm around you enough to get enough strength for myself.

So I appreciate the people of God.

I appreciate y'all being an example for me.

But let's keep on moving on with the kingdom of God.

Let's keep on building, let's keep on preaching the word of God.

Uh, it's bigger than us.

When we go to work, it's bigger than us.

We gotta ignore the distractions in our mind and be a good example for the for the for the people out there so they can want to see why we got this hope.

Why we wanna why why we live in the life we live in?

Uh just to be a good example.

So that's all I wanted to get up and say.

Thank you, Lord.

Thank you for him, thank you for him, thankful for being here today.

And I was thinking as we were singing that song little by little.

Little by little, line upon line, we felt that's the word of God upon the word of God, and that's what we base our line of life upon.

It's the word of God.

And um, and I'm thankful for that because I use this analogy as a as a little child, thinking about your testimony, brother Lord.

Uh as a little child, an infant, take the youngest one in here, or any baby.

When that child is born, he can't walk, he can't sustain itself, he can't eat, he can't defeat itself, he can't do anything for himself.

He needs somebody else to help him.

But as you watch that child grow, and as time starts to permit, by the grace of God, that child begins to hold up on stuff and it can hold itself up, and he might fall down.

But he he begins to get the confidence because he now has some confidence that these leads, these knees, these legs can hold him up.

And that's that little by little.

And he keeps going on, he keeps going on.

And eventually that child takes some steps, and as a parent, you stand back and look like, wow, look, he's walking, he's walking, and we get excited about that.

But that's the progression of life.

And and then begin before you know it, now the child is all throughout the house, he's tearing down stuff, and now you're trying to control and contain him because he's just too much.

Well, that's us in the things of God.

Our mind, we first come to God, he says, He that cometh to God must believe, and that's the first step.

We must believe that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

And so that's not saying, Oh Lord, where you at, Lord, where you at, Lord, where you at?

He says, Uh uh, I think you quoted that the scripture.

It says, uh, uh, our heart is desperately wicked, but our heart, not not this heart, our mind, my mind, Lord, it's got to be more to life than just this.

Do I want to just go around and round and round life and get 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 pre-aventier, Lord?

Let me live that long and then die.

God forbid.

I just don't believe, I did not believe that God created such a perfect being just to live and to die.

There's gotta be so much more to life than this.

And so my heart, my mind is seeking after God.

And then thank God one day the Lord tells me, He touches my mind, and I can see that bush burning.

Isn't that what isn't that what Moses saw?

He saw that bush burning and it wasn't being consumed.

That's what you saw in your wife, brother.

Uh, brother Lloyd.

You saw your wife, she was going through things, she was living an upright life, and you saw how she was handling the situations.

She didn't treat you any differently.

She gave you the love of God, and I'm just using you as an example.

But that's the that's the wonderful glory of God to reveal it to the people of God.

And so I'm so thankful, saints of God, that he touches our eyes one day, and we can have them scales fall off, and we can see it and say, God, I really want more of you.

I don't want more of this life, I don't want more of this.

I can see what's going on out here in this world.

It's a bunch of chaos and confusion.

But more of you, God, more of you.

I've had all, I've had this, I've had jobs, I've had that, but I need more of you.

And so thank God for a heart to want to seek after him.

And that's that line, that's that little upon little, and that line upon line, and precept upon precept.

I thank God, and it says with stammering lips, that's the wonderful baptism of the Holy Ghost, the power of God that gives us the opportunity and the ability to be able to live this life.

And so I'm so thankful.

I even think about when the nation of Israel, when they came out of Egypt land, he said, I'm not gonna drive all the ice out at once, but he said, little by little, little by little, and so everything is a process with God.

It's a process with God, and so I know I know that that great hope that we have.

I don't want to get discouraged, don't want to be dismayed, don't want to get weary, brother, Greg, and well doing.

I know that I'll reap in due season.

Can't faint, can't give up the battle, can't get dismayed.

Don't worry what's going on out there in this world, don't worry about it.

I think about even with Peter when he stepped out on the water, he asked Jesus, said, Bid me to come, bid me to come.

And he and he stepped out by faith.

He stepped out on that water.

Think about that.

Think about that.

I mean, look, I went fishing the other day, and those waves was high.

And you just think about that.

You're talking about water, a substance that has no floor.

And so this man stepped out of the boat on faith, having confidence that Jesus Christ told him to come.

And he walked on that water and he began to walk.

And that's us, you and I.

We walk by faith and not by sight.

And so we're walking in the things of God of what we can understand, and we're walking in it.

And then what happens?

The ways of life, the situations of life, they start to beat on us.

They start to beat on us.

But thank God, thank God, when we start to sink, thank God we can reach our hand up, and that's Jesus Christ.

He'll he'll save us.

And so I'm so thankful, saints of God.

I appreciate the Lord for being here today.

I thought about another scripture, and I'll take my seat.

I believe it's in Romans chapter 5.

Romans 5 · chapter mention

Listening to Brother Jeremiah, and it talks about experience, work, and hope.

We glory in tribulations.

I believe that's it.

That's it.

My gosh, look at that.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations.

Not saying we're asking for them, but if we're going through something, hallelujah, anyhow.

Never letting our troubles get us down.

Them hard trials, they come our way, but hallelujah.

Anyhow, because what God is doing, he's either working something in or he's working something out.

So hallelujah! Knowing that the tribulation, look what is working in our lives, and look, my life, I've been through a lot, and it was all mostly self-inflicted.

Adam put enough, he put a curse on me.

Yes, he did, on all of us.

Y'all don't know, he put a curse on all of us, but a lot of stuff we do to ourselves is self-inflicted.

But look what going through with God helps work it patience.

Know how to endure, brother Greg.

You quoted the scripture this morning, brother Brown.

Endure hardness as a good soldier and patience, it gives us that experience.

We have a testimony with God that He's a He's uh He's able to do a seedly, abundantly above all, that I can even ask a thing.

And that experience it gives us this blessed hope.

I can see the destination, all right, God, and I want to enjoy the journey.

All right, God, I don't want to complain.

And hope, look, it maketh not a shame.

Why?

Because the love of God, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

And so that's that wonderful hope, everlasting life, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts through that wonderful power of the Holy Ghost, which is given to us.

And so I'm thankful, saints of God.

I am so thankful that the Lord took time, took time in my mind, and led me this way.

And it was little by little.

And so here I am today.

I mean to make it.

I don't want to go back.

I don't, I know I can't go back.

It ain't nothing back there for me.

I can look at it as a testimony, but I don't want to go back.

I gotta keep pressing, I gotta keep searching, I gotta keep striving for the mark, pressing for the mark of the prize of the high calling of God, but it's in Christ Jesus.

So I'm thankful, saints of God.

I really just stood to say, I am so thankful for the people of God, thankful for this lighthouse right here in 2800 Highway 311.

This is the lighthouse, the light meaning understanding.

This is illumination while eyes can be illuminated unto the things of God.

And so praise the name of the Lord up above.

Certainly appreciate uh, Brother Felon, as he was going forward, absolutely stirred my heart, and I just began about this wonderful hope that we have of being just like Jesus Christ.

And as I was listening to this different testimonies, Brother Lloyd said something.

I must grow on.

Did you hear him say that?

Did you hear him?

I must grow on.

And that is what this life is all about, and that's where it starts.

It's a little here, it's a little there, but thank God we won't be satisfied until we awake in his likeness, until we are just like Jesus Christ.

And listen, every man that had that hope of being like Christ, he'll purify himself even as he is pure.

I'm so thankful for hope.

And so when we think about it, what do you think make people uh do some of the things that they do, take their lives and get into this and get, they have no hope.

But thank God for hope.

The Bible says a living dog is better than a dead lion.

To all that is joined to the living.

Thank God there's hope.

But I don't know about you.

I'm not just joined to a group of people who's alive with the baptism of the Holy Ghost and thank God for it.

But my God, I'm joined to a people that's alive to what he's doing right now.

Thank God for the hope that we have.

Amen.

And so we're looking for, think about what he said about those, the grace of God that appeared unto all men, teaching us to deny ungodliness, worldly lust, that we should live righteously, soberly in this present world, looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What do you mean when he appears in us?

Hallelujah.

That's what we're looking to be like.

Remember, Paul, my father could fight it.

I finished my cause, I kept the faith, his father delayed up for me a crown of righteousness.

He said that the whom of God, the greatest judge, shall give in that day, not only to me, but of all the Lord that love my appearance, love his appearance.

What do you mean when he appears in us, when he appears in you, when he appears in me, when we look just like him, brother fellow?

Every man that has this hope, my God, it'll cause us to work, it'll cause us to go on.

And so I'm so thankful.

And so God has brought us to this great, I'm thankful for the hope that we have.

And look at what he said in Thessalonian.

Even though he said, see that you sorrow as those that have no hope.

Sorrow not as those that have no hope.

Thank God we have a hope, but it's beyond this life.

If in this life only, if all we can do, we can see what we can do, get, enjoy in this life, we're all men most miserable.

Because everything that we see with our natural eyes is temporal.

But the things that are not seen, thank God they are eternal.

That's what we're looking for.

Houses, land, all those things, they're gonna perish with the using.

Remember, Solomon got that.

He he was a man of wisdom.

He observed life and he began to see that all the things, I got me men servant, maid servant, half-serving, boy, I got me books, I understand.

He said, But in the end, it's all vanity and vexation of spirit.

But let us let God hear the conclusion of the matter, to fear God and keep his commandment.

That's the whole duty of man.

He said, for he's gonna bring every work into judgment with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.

Thank God, I'm so glad for the hope that we have.

And so we don't have to be in despair.

Listen, there's a lot going on out in the world.

But my God, we are in the world, but we don't have to be of the world.

It doesn't have to shape our thinking, it doesn't have to affect us.

Thank God, my God, we're sheltered in the arms of God.

Amen.

And so he meant, he told those men.

He said, They're in the world, but they're not of this world.

That's not who we are.

But I got something special for them.

He said, let not the rich man glory in his riches, not the wise man in his wisdom, not the mighty man in his mighty, but let him that glory.

May God, you glory in this, in that he knoweth me.

And I am a God of loving kindness.

Hallelujah.

Get that script.

Hallelujah.

Brother, I'm thankful for that.

What is he?

He said I exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.

For these things I delight, said the Lord.

So I'm so thankful.

And so we're not.

We read, we want to understand.

We don't want to be uh ignorant to what's going on in the area around us.

But my God, that's not what's shaping my thinking.

That's not what has me well, bro.

I'm so thankful to be in the in the body of Christ.

He said, Well, nothing in this world, neither in this world can harm me, even in this world can harm me.

But I gotta be willing to pay the price.

If I can pay the price, Lord, I'm so thankful.

I am so thankful.

And so to us, the people of God, and we were singing that song.

That was the first one.

He lifts me up when I'm down and discouraged.

That was a portion that talked about that manner.

They didn't realize when they had that manner, they had the great God of heaven with them because he provided it for them.

He was with them, and so that was the national nation of Israel.

He gave them, he fed them with that.

But my God, here come that New Testament church.

And Jesus Christ let them know.

He said, Your fathers, they ate man in the wilderness, and they are dead.

But he said, I am the bread that came down from heaven.

That if a man will eat thereof, thank God he shall not die.

Thank God and everything that, and they didn't realize it, and that's why they didn't know he was with them.

Because everything that was necessary for their life was in that manner.

No vitamins, no shots, no insulin, no this, no that.

Eat that manna.

And it's a picture for you and I, brother.

Everything to sustain our spiritual life is in the word of God.

It's in the word of God.

Thank God, and that's what we want to put emphasis in.

Let's put emphasis on that.

And so I'm so thankful.

And so when we see, I'm back to my point.

When we we don't get discouraged, uh war here, this going on here, this going on, but those 10,000 fall at thy right hand.

My God, I believe.

I believe with all sincerity of heart, Brother Gene, it shall not come nigh thee.

But only with my eyes shall I behold and see the reward of the wicked.

But there's a reward for the righteous.

There is a reward for the righteous.

And so we're so glad that God has us where he has us.

And I'm telling you, I say this with all, and and I don't believe anything.

If God be for you, it really doesn't matter who's against you.

We were talking this morning.

I don't believe anybody.

Remember, he what's that scripture?

He said he will withhold no good thing from them that walk upright before.

Brother, we're walking upright before him, right?

As much as God will give us the grace to, so I don't believe he's gonna withhold any good thing from it.

Brother, I don't believe anybody can stop what God has for me.

Uh you know, people sing songs, and I I it's a truth, isn't it?

What God has for me is for me.

Nobody can take it away.

And so for us.

The White House, the governor's mansion, government towers.

Brother, we're not putting our confidence in who's in office there.

Brother, our confidence is in the great God of heaven.

That's who our confidence is in.

Hallelujah.

So make your laws make this, do up, whatever it is.

Thank God I believe the people of God still gonna come out on top.

I believe that with everything in me, God is still gonna, just as He sustained His people, if He can sustain Israel, cannot He do it for us?

Are we not the Israel of God?

Can He not do it for us?

I believe He can.

I'm so thankful.

I uh brother Fellow, you you as you I guess the world would take me back.

I just think I just looked at you and thought about that song.

I don't want to quote song, but but I'm so glad God has brought us to this good day.

And it's not about things, I'm telling you.

And so when he took the nation of Israel and he brought them to Mount Sinai, he entered into a covenant with them.

He enjoined himself to them, he married him, he gave him his laws, his statutes, his precepts.

But what about the New Testament church?

What about the date, the church that we're striving to be a part of on this end?

That he gave his laws, he gave his statutes.

I understand some things happen, but I'm not discouraged.

I'm not discouraged, he'll do it again.

He's gonna bring it back.

But I'm so glad that God has us where he has us, and glad to see what God is doing.

But but listen, I must grow on, brother Lloyd, and this is about growing.

We didn't, none of us started, none of us, none of us started out as a full grown man.

He made Adam, he was full grown, but my God, he fell.

But now he's trying to cause us to grow up.

When he came unto his home, his own received him not, but unto them that did receive, to them gave he power.

To become the summons of gum growing full men fancy when a number of chamber is a chamber, is a chamber.

But when a man became a man or grown up, I put away chamber.

Who say this bummer?

Brother, you you begin when you grow up, it's not this love, brother Gentlemen.

Something you really want, as you continue to grow and give, but it won't mean anything to you.

All you real managers, listen, is no problems, then I'm wasting the summer, and so whatever I'm going through.

I'm believing he then is a government gonna work in me, he is going to complete it, and so on a goal.

Let us lose the strength, maybe some women, I'm sending a minute in the women, and a string.

You know, one is the minimum, I'm not winning, we're presenting all in the loot, number seven, I'm not gonna win, what's the true ship, and the backup, and so we do, nothing can give them a winning, all in the loot maximum, and women hold the women home and low silence winning, and a woman winning the woman, we smoke winning, so we need to give up an something to do with some eagle, it's a big go, it's a looking down, it is looking for my bum.

Would you like to be like a spiritual thing?

And not on this earth.

Not on this earth.

And so I mean I'm so grateful.

And so I'm gonna just appreciate the Lord and we must grow on.

Let's keep growing up in him.

Let's keep going on.

And brother, he said we don't want to be children.

We don't want to stay, we don't always the milk and the simple.

We don't wanna, we gotta be able to get some more things.

Some things that, and see, that's here's the thing.

And I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna keep going.

I'm gonna I ain't gonna say what I'm gonna do.

But my wife tells me you keep saying that too.

But I boy, I tell you, them critics, I'll tell you, they help you, they help you, brother.

I I I I gotta admit that not cheerfully, but I'll admit that.

But nevertheless, and so the things that were with listen, the word of God, listen, that remember that man with that book in his hand.

And he said, take.

The angel told him, Take, eat.

In your mouth, it's gonna be sweet.

But in your belly, it's gonna get bitter.

When it's time to walk in it, when it's time to put it on, brother Shaw, it gets a little bitter.

But you know what?

You gotta eat the roasted lamb, you gotta eat that little heaven bread, but you gotta get those bitter herbs as well.

So I'm so thankful to be here.

I'm thankful that God has brought us to the body of Christ.

It's for such a time as where you can get eternal salvation.

So I'm thankful to be here.

I just appreciate God.

Uh I'm gonna dismiss the band.

We have a little time, and the Lord has already established the channel and the uh the word of God for today.

I think I would be remiss if we didn't fully cooperate.

The Bible is illustrated in Zechariah as being an olive tree.

And of course, you and I living in current times wouldn't appreciate pictures and types.

But in the old covenant, they didn't have electric, they didn't have kerosene.

All the oil they got and they use to light their candles to keep them skin healthy was olive oil, which came from olive tree.

And the olive tree is a picture of the Bible itself.

And it produced berries.

Olive trees has berries.

When you're reading the word of God, the scriptures you're reading.

But the berries themselves are not tasty.

You can't eat the berries.

You can, but that's not the benefit.

The benefit of the olive berries is the fact that it produces oil.

And the Bible said oil makes your face shine, your continence.

And so there has to be those who are able to take the olive berries, which is the scriptures, and extract or squeeze the oil out of the berry.

And that will give light to all that's in the house, illumination.

Paul says in Ephesians 5, around the 25th, 26th verse, whatsoever do make manifest as light.

That's not that verse, it's further back.

What else that would do make manifest as light?

And uh you could hear the Lord thundering today, more than just a small still voice.

And it's centered around, if I may, two things.

Is your first is your hope.

That's one.

And the second one, and I'm not prioritizing when they both are synonymous, is I'm gonna use a word that's not in the Bible, but the meaning of it is it's called step, the word I'm about to use is called stick to it-iness.

Stick to itness.

I mean, that's an attribute that no matter what, the Bible teaches us not to be weary in well-doing.

That's stick to it-ness, endure hardness as a good soldier.

That's stick to this.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.

That's stick to the ness.

If you faint in the day of adversity, he said, your strength is what?

Small.

That's stick to the ness.

And that's an attribute that you're not born with.

You're not born with that.

That's developed, that's cultivated, that's taught.

Not just by three words, three ways to get wisdom, as I often told you.

You can get it from instruction, you can get it through observation, but you also get it through experience.

All that you can learn from listening, you should pay attention.

You can see it.

And what you don't get from listening and observation, don't faint.

There's one more opportunity.

It's called experience.

The problem with experience, it costs you more than you want to pay.

So if I can learn from someone else's experience and save myself that trouble.

But you can't learn everything from experience.

Some things you'll have to learn.

And if the experience causes you to faint, if it causes you to draw back, if it causes you to become weariness, it's because you're lacking one or two, if not both.

Either you don't have hope or you don't have what the Bible calls steadfastness.

I call it stick to this.

You began as a child.

This is a channel the Lord is established.

Uh brother Michael was quoting 1 Corinthians 13, uh, second to the last verse.

I'm sorry, no, fourth from the last verse.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, Paul's writing.

I understood as a child, and I thought as a child.

That's all you can do, is childish things.

He said, but when I became mature, it's translated there, man.

I put away childish things.

What's childish things he talking about?

The way I think, the way I talk, the way I act.

And when you start off, you start off as an infant, uh, a newborn.

And this is one of the reasons that God rejected Israel of old.

And that's how you and I became the Israel of God.

Because Paul makes a statement in Hebrews chapter 5, uh, second to the last verse.

Hebrews 5 · chapter mention

We'll go back even further than the third to the last verse.

He said, For in a time you ought to be teachers.

This is people of God.

You yourself have need that one teach you again, which would be the first principle of the articles of God.

And they become such as had need of milk.

Milk is for infants.

They have the nutrients through the milk, because they don't have teeth, neither do we have a digestive system that's able to process meat.

And it's sad to say, for a lot of Christians, they never get off the milk.

Milk can sustain a child, but if you are, if you're only an infant, if you only drunk milk, you never get all that you'll need to develop.

So you'll come up malnourished.

And so if people, if all you can get is things that make you feel good, things that are easily compatible, are palatable for you.

God is good.

That's the truth, he is good.

But you know what makes God's good is that God also chastened us.

And we don't like that part.

Uh, whom the Lord loves, he does what?

He chastened.

We don't like the chastening.

And God also proves us, he tests us as he did in Israel to see whether they would keep his commandment or no.

He could have brought, it was only 13 days, 13 total, from Gosha to Canaan.

On the end of Egypt, it was only 11 days.

But God took 40 years to bring them what could have actually transpired in just 11 days.

But he had them in a roundabout way.

And he said it's to prove them.

It's the same with you and I.

You don't get saved from your past sins, find forgiveness, and then you're ready to go to heaven.

I'm ready to go up.

No, you're ready to blow up.

And blowing up is what he's gonna do with you.

You had to go through some things, you have to develop character and integrity, steadfastness, some stick-to-itingness.

And so, as Paul rebuking this, we write to the book of Hebrews, he's writing to the Hebrew Christians that's back in Jerusalem.

Uh they came on the law of Moses, went on the law of Christ, so they was in the New Testament church.

But the problem is they kept looking back.

They kept comparing Christ to the old covenant.

And that's why the key word in the book of Hebrews is better.

That's the better word, that's the word.

We got a better priesthood, better promises, uh, we have a better covenant, everything, better hope.

Because he's trying to tell them don't go back to the weak and beggarly things.

But here's the key: he was admonishing them, but he's rebuking them because they couldn't get past the weak and beggarly elements of do's and don'ts.

That's why you go to churches, you see commandments on the walls.

The Ten Commandments never given to the church.

That was given to the church in the wilderness or the nation of Israel.

That's not given to the people of God.

It's not do's and don'ts.

You can't legislate righteousness, it comes from the heart.

There's no clothes you can put on, there's no jewelry you can wear that's gonna make you holy.

It's a manifestation of your heart, your life.

And uh, God wasn't trying to make Israel overcomers.

There was children.

There was his firstborn.

That's what he calls them, his firstborn.

And bear me for a moment.

I want you to consider this because he didn't bring you here to be weakers and begging.

He didn't bring you to this New Testament order so that you can be victims.

You are to be victorious.

In everything, you are to be overcomers.

In every trial, every test, every affliction.

If you don't see yourself as a victim, you're not one.

And we walk this life by faith.

And so I'm declaring myself to be an overcomer before I've manifested a full overcome in life.

Let's go back a little bit.

So, as Paul rebuking this church, pull it up for me.

Hebrews chapter 5, go back from when the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again.

Hebrews 5 · chapter mention

And get these terms, listen this carefully.

Teach you again, which be the first principles.

That's rather pitiful.

You got to start with the ABCs.

ABCs is thou shalt not make an engraven image of anything that's in heaven above, anything that's on earth, anything that's beneath the earth, thou shalt not bow down and worship him.

Uh thou shall not, thou shalt not, y'all shall not.

That's all your first principles, do's and don'ts.

Paul called that a schoolmaster, just to bring you to Christ.

And once the schoolmaster brought you to Christ, there's no need for the schoolmasters no more.

And so if I got to be regulated by do's and don'ts and commandments, I'm still a child.

I'm still an infant in the things of God.

You say, well, uh, if I'm an infant, I still have uh I have an inheritance.

I hate to tell you this today, but you do not.

If you die an infant, you know what you're gonna get.

Don't get sick foot of earth.

You say, but I'm a child of God, but yet you're still an infant.

Did I make that up?

Absolutely not.

We don't say anything that's not Bible.

What is that?

Uh Galatians chapter, is that four or three?

It's chapter four and one.

He said, I want you to read it.

This is why we have to grow up.

This is why we must grow up.

This is why we have to receive nourishment, understand the word of God, learn what to do and what not to do.

It's not what you do with your body, it's what you think on with your mind.

As a man thinking in his heart, now I'll say that to Aaron.

That's an infant.

As long as he's a what?

He differed nothing from a servant.

Let me clarify that.

The nation of Israel in the Old Testament were servants.

They're servants.

But Jesus made a statement to his apostles.

You're not alone my servant.

I call you friend.

For a servant don't know what the master does, but you're not my servant, you are my friend.

But there's one condition.

If you do whatsoever I command you.

So I can't do what I don't know.

So here we go.

He differed nothing from a servant.

Does a servant have an inheritance?

No, because he's not a child.

Though he be Lord of all, that heir is Lord of all, but you don't get your inheritance as long as you're a child.

Read verse 2 to make it even clearer.

This is why we have to create an environment that's conducive for growth.

But it's under, this is the child.

It's under tutors and governors.

That is, you got to have a babysitter, you got to have uh someone to keep you and to watch you because you're not mature enough to have good judgment.

Uh the elements of life will cause you to shake in your boots and to quake and to backslide.

And to most people really don't backslide, they just starve to death because they hadn't eaten the word of God, Brother Michael.

Yeah.

Because you know it don't mean you can do it.

And because you can quote it don't mean you can see it.

Did you know that?

And there's nothing wrong with learning to quote it.

You need to learn it, that's good.

But don't mean you have the ability to do it.

The worst person you'll ever see on this earth, I told you this before, just pay attention, is somebody who knows the ways of God, but don't have enough God to do it.

You're tormented by what you know.

You can't find peace.

You know where not to go, but you're not permitted to go where you want to go.

That's a prison, and nobody's touching you.

But it's under tutors and governors, that's regulators and instructor givers, until the time appointed of the Father.

God appoints a time that an individual can get his inheritance.

Anything up to that point, you're just a child or an infant.

There's no inheritance in that state.

It's like a natural man.

He makes a will.

When a child is 30 years old and they can get their inheritance.

Some people give it to him as 21.

Whoever write a will like that, that's a fool.

At 21, a child is still a child.

You're not even grown when you're 30.

You just begin to learn some sense.

I say it all the time.

Until you get 30, tell them, Jacob.

Until you're 30.

Say it aloud.

Until you're 30, you have no sense.

That sounds cruel, doesn't it?

I did not make that up.

I didn't make that up.

You read a little bit further in the Hebrews, it tells you it's by reason of use you have your senses.

That's your discernments.

Able to discern both good and evil.

So until you lived a long enough life and used some discernment, you're still a child.

And you know better than the Leviticus priesthood, a priest couldn't officiate till he was what?

30 years old.

You know, David didn't sit on the throne till he was 30 years old.

You know, Jesus didn't take up his ministry till he was.

So you think you're wiser than God?

I say you're not.

Until you're 30 years old, you got good ideas, good thoughts, but you don't have no sense.

You have no sense of discernment.

Uh people become millionaires in their 20s, but they still don't have sense.

They do foolish things with it.

So you and I, we're going to no longer be child and children.

Let's just keep reading.

We have to grow up to the full measure.

And what causes you to grow up is some counsel, some observation, but it's some things you have to endure.

It's trials, it's tests that shapes your character, gives you integrity.

Let's go back a little bit further.

He's showing you about the law of Moses.

He said, even so, he used it as an allegory when we were children.

He's talking to the Christians who were influenced by the Judaizers, trying to tell you to go back and keep the law of Moses.

No, that's for children.

That's not for us.

We were in bondage under the elements of the world.

And then Paul addresses that in Colossians.

Handle not, taste not, touch not, do's and don'ts.

That's you don't see that in the New Testament church.

The laws of God has to be written upon the tables of your heart, not on tables of stone, but upon the fleshly tables of your heart.

It's not what I can't do, it's what I don't want to do.

And that's the difference.

It's having a desire to please God and not displease him.

And that's a willing heart, is what the Bible calls it.

And then to find the strength to do it.

I'm gonna stick with me for a moment.

I'm gonna help us.

Because we're not to be weaklings and beggarly and uh uh children, and there's only three classes, I'm gonna give them to you if you're new here.

There's only three classes of Christians.

Only three.

The first one is I write unto you children.

The word children is from the infant until some of the age of young accountability.

Give me that.

1 John chapter 2.

1 John 2 · chapter mention

That's around the 12th, 13th verse.

Get it from me, pull it up.

12th verse.

I write unto you little what?

I want to hear you.

Write unto you what?

He's not talking about somebody that's uh Levi age.

No, you're not you're not a newborn, but you're still not yet a young man.

You hadn't reached anolescent.

So from the time you're born until the time you reach analescent in the Bible, you are a child.

And it's the same way spiritually.

Until you get to the point that no one has to watch over you and tell you where you can go and can't go, and what you can do and what you shouldn't do, you're still a child.

And you need to be under governance and tutor.

This is why you need mothers and fathers, even natural and grandparents, to tell you no, you can't do that.

There's a fad in the world today.

Just look at it.

I'm walking up, I feel sorry for some people.

I feel sorry for some people.

I was in a I was in uh Walmart trying to pick up a tongue scraper.

I couldn't find my tongue scraper.

They had two and both of them come up missing.

And uh first thing in the morning, I scraped, I shouldn't tell you that.

I scraped my tongue.

Everybody supposed to scrape, but I couldn't find mine.

I went to buy one, went to buy two.

And I'm at the cashier on the phone, and this woman in front of me, a young lady, couldn't be no more than 30, and all down her neck she got a tattoo.

And I look at the tattoo.

She got some guy's name written on her neck.

I feel so sorry for her.

Don't you know what you feel today?

Don't you know you're subject to change next year?

And you got this guy's name on your neck.

You know, in the book of Deuteronomy, you couldn't put markings on your body?

Tattoos.

And that's the way of the world today.

And this, I mean, you can get 30 years old and still do that.

Isn't that sad?

That's for little children.

I used to put tattoos on my body, but it was an ink pen.

And before I got home, I got it all because I know what that meant.

My mother's gonna light me up.

I feel sad for people.

60 years old, my mother said all the time there's no food like uh that's pretty sad.

Still don't.

Childish things.

And I see people proclaim the name of the Lord and yet they're childish.

Putting robes on and flipping their collars around back with saying you're a minister.

You know where you get that collar from?

Get it from the Roman Catholic Church.

Why are you imitating something you're not a part of?

You're not Catholic.

Why are you putting a cape on?

You're not a batman.

That's entertainment.

And people never been taught how to look at the character of a person.

They're looking at how you present yourself.

And that's phony.

And so that's why people, ministers don't want people to grow up.

Because if you ever grow up, you won't let me squindle you.

If you learn to read the Bible, you'll know when I'm lying.

It's not what I put on, it's the way I live.

But children are impressed by that.

I'll tell you another sign of a child.

Christians, they want a hero.

Well, I already got one.

His name is Jesus Christ.

And we don't have another one.

Your pastor is not your hero.

He should be your shepherd.

Not the Lord over you, but to feed you the word of God.

To feed you, to lead you in the way of truth by living it.

But those are children.

And children always want heroes.

That's a child.

You think I'm just talking?

I am not.

1 Corinthians chapter, that's chapter 3.

And I wrote on to you, I couldn't write unto you as in the spiritual.

The word carnal and the word childish are synonyms.

When you're a carnal Christian, you're still a childish Christian.

Listen, I'll write on, I'll go scratch over for real quick.

Give you a quick Bible study.

I got a little time.

Can I get 30 minutes?

Give me 30 minutes.

I want your eyes to be open because we got to grow up.

Not that you're not growing, but it's not for one generation.

We got to keep growing up.

Absolutely.

They're gonna stone you and I love you.

Eyes already rolling at you.

Forgive me.

I'm sorry.

Oh First Corran three and one.

And this is the problem with having infants.

And ministers like churing.

Because you do what you're told, you don't ask any questions.

You go fry the chickens, do pew routes, whatever raise the money, but he's not gonna participate.

And so it is to his advantage to keep the congregation childish, ignorant, unlearned.

You can exploit them.

But when your eyes is open, can't nobody close them?

Once you can see, I can't make you not see.

And once I tell you things, you're gonna hold me accountable as you should.

Watch this.

And as Paul, he established this church, was there for two years in Corinth.

And I, brother, he's talking even to the ministry.

He says, brother, he's talking to the ministry.

I cannot speak unto you as unto spiritual.

When you're spiritual, you're no longer a child.

You at very least, you're a young man now.

You're past your childish state in the Lord.

Man is a gender, but you're a young person in God.

Maybe not be full grown, but you know, a long way from being a child.

I could not write unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto corn.

Carnal is infant.

Look, even as what?

So to be corner-minded is to be an infant-minded person in the things of God.

And I know people have been saved from their past sin for 40 years, 50 years, and they're still infants.

My pastor said, my pastor said, forget your pastor said.

What does the word of God say?

He should be saying the same thing the B-I-B-L-E saying.

Because you're a pastor don't mean you don't lie.

If it's Bible, it's true.

Anything else, I'm suspect.

And people so addicted to entertainment to preachers got to get up and get good catchphrases.

And uh and people like that, but you're not teaching them how to love the word of God.

I used to like a lot of things when I was a kid.

But my mother taught me whether you like it or not, you're gonna eat these spinach.

You're gonna eat these collardreens.

I hated collard greens.

But she didn't ask me if I like it.

This is what you're gonna eat because this is what you need.

I don't have money to keep taking you to the doctor.

My mother, very masculine.

And you know it too, collar you up.

My mother slapped me one time and said, I dare you to cry.

I didn't cry either.

Today you can't always say too much for a kid, they scarred.

You fuss at them and they scarred.

That's you better not slap and the police come get you.

My mother told me one time, go ahead and call the cops.

I'll give you the phone.

I dare you to.

Man, I ran from that phone.

But listen, I couldn't speak unto you as under spiritual, but as unto carnal, and that's what a carnal Christian is, he's just a babe.

He knows what to do, but don't have the strength to do it.

He knows what he shouldn't do, but don't have enough God to stop doing it.

That's carnal.

I'll give you an example.

I told him myself, my mother picked these sweet potato pies, Brother Michael, and she'll give me a good warning.

Boy, I'm not playing with you.

If you if you get up and eat this pie, I'm gonna wear you out.

I say, yes, mom, yes, mom.

But right about two o'clock in the morning, I didn't want to eat the pies, I didn't want to whip it.

But right about two o'clock in the morning, I could hear that pie calling my name.

And it dragged my name.

Leo.

My eyes popped open.

Leo, I'm in the refrigerator.

I started night walking, I guess.

But once she gets a piece of pie, she's gonna know you cut it.

So you're gonna get a whipping.

I still might want to finish it.

Oh, you tell I couldn't eat no more.

And she's gonna do what she doing the next morning.

But I knew what not to do.

I knew the consequences, but I didn't have enough discipline not to do it.

So I had to keep suffering the consequences.

I left, I left my mother's house.

She still couldn't make a pie and put it in a cake.

I put a pie in the refrigerator.

I never grew up.

But then when they told me I was pre-diabetic, all of a sudden the sweet potato pie didn't taste good no more.

That's the consequence for eating all those pies and ice cream.

The point I'm making, if you're corn, you know what you shouldn't do, but you don't have enough strength not to do it.

That's a hellish condition you're in.

It really is.

Even as unto babes in Christ, how did he know that it was a baby right until a church is not there?

This is how, because you heard what they said.

I fed you with what?

I want you to get this.

I fed you with milk.

And milk naturally is something that can sustain an infant, but it won't develop a young person.

You're malnourished.

And so when all you ever get is good messages, make you feel good, but never get into the word of God, never grow and develop.

You're a child and he's giving you milk, you're malnourished.

So when someone's been a Christian for 15, 20 years and you say they backslid, no, they starved to death.

They were malnourished.

The ministry just kept them with a ball in their mouth and giving them a nook and just baby find them.

Why did you do that, Paul?

I fed you with milk and not with meat.

Why?

For hitherto you're not able to what?

You're not able to, you couldn't hear it.

And even yet now are you, neither yet now are you able, you're still not able.

Now that's a stern rebuke to a church that he that he established, yes.

Because when he left, the ministry didn't keep those people on the foundation.

How do you know that?

Watch the next verse, just real quickly.

This is why we don't develop babes here.

You got to grow up.

You have to read here.

You must read, you shall read.

If you don't read, you're not gonna last.

We're not trying to entertain your flesh, we're not trying to hype you up and psych you up and go out there world, you still can't resist.

You can't you still can't walk upright.

You're a child, you take the path of least resistance.

For you are yet what?

Carnal, or you are yet a baby.

For whereas there's among you envy and strife and division, are you not what?

Carnal and walk as when you can't do right.

And one of the things a child does, my dad is bigger than your daddy.

Paul addresses that one Sam Apollos, another Samuel Peter, another Sam Josephus.

That's showing you that's a childishness.

When people boast on that pastor, my pastor drive a Mercedes, or mine drive two Lincoln, or we got Bentley.

Isn't that childish?

You can't get a ride in it.

That's not yours.

That's carnal.

It's carnal.

That's why I don't let people call my name.

I'm not that important.

You call on the name of Christ.

You want to glory in Christ.

We're just his servants.

Listen, while one said, I am of Paul, Paul would taught me.

Another said, I am of Apollo's.

The Bible said Apollo was eloquent.

He was mighty in the scripture and eloquent.

He said, Are you not what?

Just to even talk like that.

You got to boast on your pastor.

You're childish.

You're elemental.

I haven't heard some great preachers.

What does that mean to you?

It's not to hear the words that bless, it's the door.

If you want to know where you are in the Lord, look at what you're doing and not doing.

He said, but minister, who is Paul?

He's nobody talking about himself.

Who is Apollos?

But ministers by whom you believe, even as the Lord has given every man, that's every man that's in God.

Are you with me, saints of God?

So we don't boast in who our pastor, we boast in the Lord.

That's a sign of maturity and growing up.

I go back a little bit further.

I'm sorry.

Go back to uh 1 John 2 and 12, real quick.

Let me pick this up before time gets away and they want to stone Sister Alice for keeping the whole hour.

No, go back to 12.

I didn't finish.

It's only three classes of Christians.

You get to pick which one you want you want to make it.

You want to be.

The first one is little children.

And so you write on them, keep them encouraged.

But here's why.

Your sins are what?

Forgiven you.

That's sins that are past.

But what about the sins you're committing every day?

So all I can tell you if you're a Christian, God has forgiven you for your sins.

But you got to get past that.

You got to grow past that.

Keep reading.

For his name's sake, because you believe in it.

But then I write unto you, fathers.

There's three classes.

There's children, there's young men, and then there's fathers.

Fathers are the overcomers.

The young man is a class of a people that you passed being a child, but you hadn't yet overcame.

Then there's children, infants in the Lord.

I'll let you read and you'll see a little clearer.

I write unto you, fathers, because you have known him.

That word no, that don't mean just his name, meaning you have been intimate with.

Adam knew Eve, and she conceived.

The word no means to be intimate, not just to know about him, but to be intimate, to become one with, to be joined to.

I write unto you, Father, because you have known him that is from the beginning.

Then I write unto you who?

Young men, because you're not an infant.

You have overcome the wicked one, not a complete overcomer.

I'm gonna give you this explanation so you can see it.

What's the wicked one?

That's the one that tempts you.

You don't yield to every temptation.

I've overcome that.

I left the sweet potato pie alone.

I stopped scooping ice cream out at two o'clock in the morning.

The consequences taught me.

My mother couldn't.

But the threat of diabetes, being a diabetic dad, that shook me at my core.

And now I gotta look at ice cream and I just crave over it.

I'm scared to eat it.

When I do get it, I'm sitting down repenting.

Lord, please forgive me.

I'm gonna let the spike my sugar.

And as soon as I finish, get some apple cider vinegar, drink some water, wait an hour, and then go see what my blood pressure is.

You wouldn't have to do that if you hadn't been stealing that ice cream and those sweet potato pies all those years.

But at least I've gone to the point that I know it'll watch me.

Because you've overcome the wicked one right until your little children, because you have known the Father forgive you for your sins.

The key word here's people of God, hope, and your hope, as Brother Greg was pointing out, it makes it not a shame.

But not just that you can lead your wife, but that you can be a father, you can be an overcomer.

And there's another word that's used for that, and it's offensive to this religious world.

It's called perfect.

And the first thing you hear in the world, no man is perfect.

That's a lie.

Well, nobody can be perfect, that's a lie.

The word perfect doesn't mean I have absolute great social skills.

Every time I step across your feet, I say, excuse me.

Perfect in the Bible means complete and entire.

You've grown up into the image of Christ.

To be perfect is the same word as being a father.

Perfect just means complete.

It doesn't mean without any social missteps.

It means complete.

I'll let you see that.

I want you to see that.

And so when we say we're striving for perfection, we're striving to be complete and entire.

Give me James chapter 1.

Before I couldn't handle this, but now my confidence in God, He'll bring me through it.

You learn that.

And that's called patience.

But let patience, that's not enough.

Let patience have a what?

The word perfect means complete.

Let it run its course.

Let it have its perfect or its complete work.

That you may be what?

Perfect.

That means complete and entire.

Not want to do, but have the ability to do it.

How do you know that?

I thought I went through enough that I can make it through everything.

Well, I hadn't seen everything.

By the grace of God, I am what I am.

But anyway, the key word here is perfecting, the word perfect.

And that means to be complete and entire.

That's what he's explaining to you.

Let patience have a perfect or it's complete work.

Don't jump out the fire, don't complain, be patient.

Patient is enduring hardest without complaining.

Patient is going through things without mummering.

It has a definition to it.

You hit a traffic light and you stopping and you got a car up ahead and he's not moving and the light turned red again.

And you sit there and you're brewing.

Patience when you can sit and don't blow the horn.

You're not fussing.

That's patience.

Enduring without complaining.

If you do it enough, let patience have his complete work that you may be what?

Perfect.

You may be complete.

And entire wanting, entire means made whole.

Complete, wanting nothing.

Give me 2 Corinthians chapter 13, in the 13th verse.

It means to be complete.

God is not an incomplete God, He's a complete God.

He's entire.

There's nothing elementary about him.

And so, are you able to follow the line of thoughts?

And that's your hope.

Not just when you die and go to your reward.

While you're living on this earth, is to grow up.

And if I'm not grown, I don't have an inheritance when I die.

I may get a resurrection, I can finish my course, but I don't have an inheritance because I'm not grown.

Are you with me, people of God?

Let's now go back to Hebrews 5.

And the things that, forgive me, this is gonna be offensive to some of my dear viewers on uh Boxcast and YouTube.

They're gonna get offended with this.

But you'll be alright, it's the truth.

What you call your major doctrines are not major at all.

Those are minor, they make a major change.

I'm gonna prove it to you.

For when you ought to be teachers, you Christians, you're still infants.

This is what he's telling back in in Hebrews, in the book of Hebrews, right until the Christians back in Jerusalem.

You have need that one teach you again.

Now get this, which be the first what?

Principles of the articles are the instructions of God.

First principles.

These are the first basic things that you learn that you can be upright, that you can walk upright, and are becoming such as have need of milk and not of strong meat.

Strong meat is something that you have to chew on to digest.

Milk is something you just very palatable, you can swallow it.

We were talking about hell fried.

That's strong meat for some people.

It don't just go down, you get to chew on that.

Because all your life you were told God's gonna fry you and stew you and bake you.

Well, you see what the word hell means.

Jesus' soul was not left in hell.

He wasn't frying and baking and stewing because the scriptures said he poured out his soul unto death.

But yet his soul wasn't left in hell.

Hell was a death state.

And so that's hard for some people.

That's strong meat for you.

But you got to chew that so you don't have a false concept of who God is.

It's strong meat.

Now go to now go to uh everyone that gets this, everyone that uses milk.

God is good all the time.

That's nice, but you know what that is?

That's milk.

And the reason they use milk is because he's unskillful in the word of righteousness, for he is a what?

So, someone who's just got cliches and goodly saying, What are they?

I can't hear you.

What the Bible says they are?

A babe, you're using milk.

It's not what you're saying is wrong, it's just elementary.

And so you're just a babe in Christ.

The mental job is to grow you up.

So if I don't say things to you that make you want to go back and prove or disprove it, then it's not strong meat to you.

I'm supposed to provoke you to godness and good work.

They don't even know these little basic doctrines.

Ask somebody the resurrection of the dead.

When you die, you go to heaven.

Well, I'm sorry, it's more to it than that.

They don't even know resurrection of the dead.

They don't know what laying on hands is.

Lay your hands and give me a blessing.

I'm laying hands on you right now, I'm not even touching you.

Let us go on to perfection.

So these doctrines don't bring it to perfection.

You gotta do this so we can go on, move past it.

Not laying again the foundation of what?

That's just the basic.

Repentance from dead.

Dead works is anything that you're doing that you think is going to bring salvation that cannot.

It's called dead works.

Another doctrine of baptisms.

There's an S on that.

People don't know there's three baptisms.

It takes three to make one.

Water for repentance of sin that are passed, Holy Ghost, that's for your soul.

And then fire for your purification.

Water is something you do with your natural body.

That's your body.

There's three parts of the person: spirit, soul, and body.

The body needs the water baptism to show repentance.

The soul needs the Holy Ghost baptism to work with us or right and NASA spirit we have.

And the fire is what perfects us.

That's for your NASA spirit.

Get it right.

So it takes three baptisms to make the one.

People baptize in water and say, I'm baptized.

Well, you baptized in water, but you hadn't completed it.

They don't even know that.

And land on of hands, that's submission to a ministry.

When someone comes up and you're sick, and we get oil and we anoint you, how hands cannot heal you.

Neither does the oil.

But what you're showing is submission to the order of God.

That's what you're doing.

And it's the healing virtue that God has that heals you.

Laying on of hands is just your submission to the five office ministry, which is the hand of God.

But we can't heal nobody.

God does that.

Am I making sense to you?

So, and someone is teaching you, someone is instructing you.

That's laying hands, they're shaping your thinking.

As God told Moses that he was going to deliver the nation of Israel from under the hand of Pharaoh.

That's under Pharaoh's authority.

Pharaoh wasn't touching everybody on the head.

It was under his authority.

I delivered them from the hands of the Nazareth Nezh, bringing you from under that authority.

Humble yourself, therefore, under the what?

Mighty, the mighty hand is the minister.

That's the authority.

And I'm taking authority over you by teaching you.

Anytime you let someone teach you, you let someone lay hands on you.

Did you not know that?

People are not taught that.

It's in the word of God.

And the resurrection of the dead.

They don't they think it's just one resurrection.

Resurrection is four, name them from a church.

Who is the first?

Christ was the first one who got up from the grave never to go back.

The prophets, Old Testament faithfuls, first resurrection, and the final resurrection.

There's no need to say the first if there's not a subsequent.

Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first.

If there's a first, it must be another one coming.

They don't even know that.

There's just basics and of eternal judgment.

All judgment is not eternal.

Did you know that?

There's judgment for correction, judgment for instructions.

And then there is eternal judgment.

But all judgment is not eternal.

So all this takes growth.

We rejoice in the Lord.

We grew up trying to grow up in God, but we have to receive with meeknesses and graft the word, which is able to do what?

Save that soul, bringing that soul to maturity or to completion.

Now, of course, since Christ came, now we got the word of the Lord.

Christ is higher.

It's not just don't sin, it's eradicating a desire to do it.

But thank God we can do it, can't we?

He gave you what it takes, the word of God, the ministry of God, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

We want to bless the Lord with our first fruits, with our increase.

In the old covenant it was given a law to make sure that everyone did justly and that law was called a mandatory tenth.

It's called the tie.

They had to give that under grace and truth it doesn't mandate that.

I know God doesn't require anything somebody fail?

No sir no I know God doesn't require anything less.

The difference between the law is that you have to pay a tenth that you know that under grace you get to you get to not pay it you get to give it because God loves a cheerful giver.

So we don't pay tithes but we do give and tithes is just a measure that we use it may be acceptable of 3% 2% 8% we don't have no Bible.

But everyone even before the law of Moses they gave a tenth that's what that's what Abraham did.

He gave a tenth of all the spoil.

That's what Isaac did that's what Jacob did before the law of Moses.

So I know a tenth is something pleasing I'm not telling you to pay a tenth but I'm saying it's a measure that you could consider giving by so let's bless the Lord with our offering it's offering time thank you so much.

Congratulations Crawfish boil Saturday at two o'clock fellowship meeting in Jacksonville North Carolina October 15th through the 17th Friday night about that being a church Sunday if you're traveling back from North Carolina to Jacksonville and you can be back in time for the church meeting that Sunday we understand if you flight it's gonna bring you back too late on Sunday morning and you miss the meeting we understand your fellowshipping with the different assemblies is more important than you're having to make every meeting here so I understand we understand that we broke you we want you to go the tickets right now is at a pretty decent price I've driven a few times that's another story.

But I'd like to say everyone who can go please go I want you to go available call material you start thinking you don't want to want to for the faith I was once in the too much you need to be able to so please if you can go we like for you to go if you can't make it back that Sunday I'll be back and uh another people be here we are meeting we also have also announcements we don't need to something today on the carpet and then we don't need numbers and please I don't think it can be on the you know we never chew down on the premises and we never do any chewing candidate we just replaced the carpet last year.

The carpet was not same we just changed because it was 17 years old so good stewardship is important.

So please let's not have chewing chewing appreciates no chewy candidate and it's probably the case we don't want to be imprisoned we don't want to enjoy yourself and do a kids too but you have to be wise enough to know that anything calls hard we didn't mean any hard calls hard we're requesting this week in coming is of course the first one day is a fellowship but we need to pray for favorable weather so that we can use all of the facility to land everything but um also uh we're we're trying to we're endeavoring to be uh a lighthouse for this community that's the initial point of even having a fellowship and so if we're praying for the favorable weather and we invite others out people can see us not just as uh behind closed doors or maybe fellowshipping in the gym or behind the school but see us out there or fellowshipping in the yard in the community and it just looks it just looks like we're not just the people that are as they would say Bible helpers but we are people that can enjoy this life as well as the word of God as well.

So please keep that on your prayer request pray for favorable weather I would say starting Wednesday so that we can be able to enjoy the entire facility morning for two hours
