I want to talk to you a little bit about

building a house of revival and how we're not waiting

on revival to come. Revival's waiting on us. Revival's waiting

on us. And I want to bring that to you

today with scriptural... understanding I'm throwing some notes up here

first because I'll get to them later and it's just

good if I write them in now probably so while

I'm writing you can greet your neighbor and tell them

how beautiful they are a couple weeks ago when I

was up here uh oh that wasn't very good I'm

losing my illustration skills a couple weeks ago when I

was up here I talked about How God has built

us to be a house of lively stones. This is

my castle. This is my house. I could go 3D

on you if you want. Oh, that's not very good. Okay,

we'll just go off out there somewhere. Looks like a

bad tooth or something. I don't know what that is.

I'll get some more brickwork going on here. God has

called us to be... Oh, those look like plus signs.

The artwork's getting worse as we go. 2 Peter chapter,

1 Peter, I'm sorry, 1 Peter chapter 2, if we

could go there. I talked to you a little bit

about how God has called us to be a house

of lively stones. And as lively stones, we offer spiritual sacrifices,

coming to him as a living stone. And he's called

here in Scripture the chief cornerstone. And he's the chief

cornerstone that the builders rejected. So the builders were really

the patriarchs of Israel, the tribes, the 12 tribes. And

the 12 tribes, it says that when they saw him

who they pierced, they would mourn. There's something about him

that they rejected him for. but yet he became the

chief cornerstone. And he's the chief cornerstone of the household

of God, of the building. And we, together with him,

become lively stones which make up the household of God.

So we aren't isolated or individual. We aren't living alone.

Though we are born of the Spirit and filled with

the Spirit, we aren't independently functioning. We function together as

a house. We function together as in other illustrations as

a family, right? But here he's using the illustration architecturally

of a house, of a household. So you also as

living stones are being built up as a spiritual house

for a holy priesthood. So there's a purpose. We're built

up as a house and we're built up as lively

stones and then as a house together. And it's for

the purpose of serving as a priesthood and then to

offer spiritual sacrifices which are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

So these sacrifices that we offer, which are spiritual sacrifices,

are only acceptable through Jesus Christ. But these spiritual sacrifices

we offer to God, they are part of why we've

been created. What our purpose is, and not only our

individual purpose, but our corporate purpose as we come together.

And all of this fits into the goal, right? The

goal is that heaven would come. The goal is not

to get you to heaven. The goal is that heaven

would come, that God would heavenize the earth through you,

that we've been recreated in the second Adam, the last Adam, Jesus,

and Jesus restored the dominion and the mandate and the

victory and the relationship between with Father on our behalf,

so that we could enter into what God purposed, designed,

and ordained in the beginning. And to do that, we

have to partner with Him to overcome darkness. God is

finishing the work through us of overcoming darkness. We are...

We are the representatives of Jesus. He's in us. He's

living through us. And it's not just that we have

a forgiveness status before God. It's so that we have

victory over darkness. And individually, we come together corporately. And

as we have victory over darkness, God is building a

spiritual house. So this is this fortified house that's going on, right?

And we talked... whatever that was, two or three weeks ago,

that these spiritual sacrifices are prayer and worship and service.

Prayer is one of the most important elements of the

spiritual sacrifice. And what I want you to capture today,

and I said it then, and I don't know if

you caught it fully, but I want to come back

to it, is that, and I read to you at

a revelation, I think it was, I can't remember if

it was Revelation 5, I think it was Revelation 5,

that the prayers of the saints go up, and those

prayers go up as incense, but the answers come down

like lightning and thunder. The prayers go up, they go

up as incense, incense is the smell of an offering

that God is pleased with. It's the smell of what

we just were singing about, a laid-down life. Prayer is

a laid-down life. Prayer, worship, even service is a laid-down life.

It's choosing a laid-down life. And as this spiritual sacrifice,

as these spiritual sacrifices go up, then God's glory comes down.

God's glory is dispensed. And what I was wanting to

bring you today is I wanted to bring you today

the relativity of that glory. I want you to know,

I want you to see, I want you to understand

that revival is waiting on us because there's a relativity

to the glory that comes to the answers that come,

to the blessings that come. The more we offer up,

the more comes down. Now, the Bible has given us

some insights on this in Scripture, and I want to

go to one. And I had a testimony for you.

By the way, I had a couple of testimonies. Greg Carnes,

Gregory Carnes, was here this morning. The Carnes family, a

bunch of them have attended here in the past. I

don't know if some of you know, Greg, you've maybe

had their popcorn. They have lumberjack popcorn all over Pierce County.

Have you had lumberjack popcorn, anybody? Lumberjack caramel corn and

kettle corn. They even have pickle corn. Yeah. Yeah. But

he was here for a service and such a perfect

living example of expressions of our faith. He ran up

during prayer, first service, and instead of sharing a prayer

request with the Destiny team, he was sharing about answers

to prayer. That Monday he went in to his doctor

and discovered that he was totally cancer-free. A year ago,

he was diagnosed with leukemia, and he had one to

five years to live. He came last June to the

baptismal tanks where we were believing for miracles. Todd Smith

came from the North Georgia revival. We prayed into that.

Some of us were fasting and praying into that. We

were investing in the spirit realm with spiritual sacrifices that

God is pleased with. He got into the tank and

he knew he was healed. So last Monday was his

final verdict and report that he is totally cancer free.

But wait, there's more. Two years ago, two years ago,

He was diagnosed with prostate cancer. And I remember when

he came to me on a Sunday morning and told

me about the diagnosis. But he came forward to the

destiny team and was prayed for. And a clean bill

of health on that one was given him a little

over a year ago. Yeah. Yeah. yeah, yeah, yeah. So

listen to this one. Last, yeah, there's more, but wait,

there's more. This is the fruit of prayer. This is

the glory of God and the fruit of prayer. Yeah,

I was going to look it up, or I could

just read it, or share with you, but Many of

you know, a few Sundays ago, we prayed out another

one of our families. Jeff and Karen Conley have been

serving as elders for seven years. They wanted to move

to where Abby is now. Abby is in Post Falls, Idaho.

Abby used to be on our worship team. Many of

you know all the kids, the Conley kids. So Abby's

over there married to Ryan, so they wanted to move

over and be close and care for their son and

So last Sunday, he's in service. We were in Chelan.

We were with the family over having our legacy weekend

in Chelan. Later in the morning, I get this text

message from Jeff Conley. He's in Post Falls, Idaho. He said,

I just met a gentleman in church this morning who

was on a business trip in Fife two weeks ago,

went to a church, went forward for prayer and was

totally healed. What's the chances that he's standing by a guy? Yeah,

just some random church and five. I think it was

called bright sunrise or new sunshine or I think it

was new horizon. So here's these two guys. Here's these

two guys standing up by each other. You know, talking

about a church in Fife, and he's sharing, oh my goodness,

I was just there. This is the fruit, though, of prayer.

Listen to Galatians chapter 6, 7 through 8. You know

Galatians 6 · chapter mention

this passage, but I'll give it to you. Do not

be deceived. God is not mocked. Paul wouldn't say that

if we couldn't be deceived, right? For whatever a man sows,

that will he also reap. Or the King James, I

like it, it says, Whatsoever a man sows, that he

shall also reap. For he who sows to his flesh

will of the flesh reap corruption. And I kind of

like to think he's not just talking about sin right there.

Because we invest in the tangibility and the third dimensional

realm all the time. But no matter how much we

invest in the third dimensional realm and the tangibility of life,

it will always rust and rot and fall apart if

the Holy Spirit is not involved. Fact is, there's a Psalm,

Psalm 127. It says that unless the Lord builds the house,

they who labor, labor in vain. Unless the Lord guards

the city, Those who guard the city guard it in vain.

So even the tangibility of what we sow into, all

the natural stuff, if we don't superimpose a spirit of

prayer and the investment of prayer into those natural things,

even though they're valid things, they tend to corrupt. No

matter how much we work on them. Even marriage. Marriage

is a God thing. And marriage is a wonderful thing.

And yet... And we just celebrated 43 years of wedded bliss,

by the way. And so pray for her. She's put

up with me for 43 years. But if we don't

take spiritual power, spiritual grace, spiritual truth, and sow into

that marriage, then even that marriage will tend to corruption. Everything...

Everything tends to corruption unless we mix the things of

the Spirit into those through prayer. But listen to what

it says. It goes on to say, but he who

sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting

life or life everlasting. In the Greek, it's life everlasting.

And the life that we reap in the Spirit, that

life is not just like It's delineated here. It's not physiology.

It's not nutrition. It's not muscular. It's not even anything

that we could find genetically or plant life. The word

in the Greek is zoe. Z-O-E. And it means the

God kind of life. So it's actually when we sow

to the Spirit... Then it's like I was saying out

of Revelation 5, out of 1 Peter 2, when we

sow to the Spirit, like we're sowing up, right? We're

offering up prayer. I want you to see it in

that way, in that example. We're offering up prayer. We're

offering up intercession. We're offering up petition. We're offering up declarations.

We're offering up worship. But we're reaping from God. Holy Spirit,

the very life of God. It's the God life. The

God life is then infused into us so that Gregory

Carnes is not going to die in one to five years.

Gregory Carnes is going to live. So that somebody that

came doing business in Fife two weeks ago and came

forward with an incurable problem that they had no answer for,

is touched at the altar, completely healed, and testifying about

it in Idaho two weeks later. It's the Zoe life.

It's somewhat what Jesus talked about. There would be a

good parallel in John 10.10 that he has come to

give us life and life again. more abundantly. And he

says that this is bread from heaven. It's not natural bread,

it's bread from heaven. When we taste of him, but

the way we taste of him, it's not, I don't

want you to see this, I think this is so important,

I don't want you to see this as that it's

some kind of a sovereign mystery to this. And this

is where we get deceived. Where we get deceived, where

deception comes in, Deception, let's see if I can spell

it right. Where deception comes in is that we, and

I believe the enemy, oh my word, I just touched

my horseshoe with the black marker. Jesus, take the wheel.

What in the world? Well, we'll be doing wash later

on that 43rd year of marriage. I need help, honey.

I made a mess of myself. Where we're tempted to

get deceived is we think that revival is something that

God does when he's in the mood. We think that

more glory is something that God does when he's in

the mood. The rescuing of Washington State, the rescuing of

Pierce County, the rescuing of our region, the rescuing of

our family, the rescuing of our marriage is We know

that it can't come by anything other than the touch

of the Holy Spirit. It can't come by anything other

than God wrecking us with His power. Like, do you

think the guy in Idaho will ever be the same? No.

He'll never be the same because of what happened at

these altars. Many of us in this room... are not

living as we once lived because we've been touched by

Holy Spirit in a divine way. We've been wrecked by Him.

We've had an encounter with Him. It's completely changed us.

And we've actually sold... He becomes the pearl of great price,

and we've sold out to him. We've let go of

other things for him, and because of that touch, we

want to pursue him, and we desire more of him,

but we desire what he did for us, for all

of Pierce County, for all of King County, for all

of Western Washington. Yes, because we know that's the answer.

We know that the breakthrough in God is the breakthrough

for our region. A breakthrough in God is the breakthrough

for the hardest of hearts. And what I want to

tell you today is that God can do this. God

can pierce through the greatest darkness. God wants to bring glory,

but it's interrelated to us sowing more to the Spirit.

It's not a sovereign mystery. It's not a sovereign mystery. Well,

how about the Azusa Street Revival? The Azusa Street Revival

started with a prayer meeting on Bonnie Bray Street. It

started in a prayer meeting with three individuals. And these

three individuals hadn't even been touched by what they believed

God could do. They just heard about what God could do.

And they started praying for God to do what they'd

heard He could do. William Seymour said, the leader of

that revival would pray for five hours a day. The

founding of our nation, the changing of our, the complete

sanctification of the 13 colonies, it started, you've heard me

talk about George Whitefield, it started with these meetings with

George Whitefield. George Whitefield would be preaching to crowds of 3,000

all the way to 20 and 30,000 people and they

could all hear his voice. But the miracle power behind

George Whitefield's ministry and all, it wasn't just George Whitefield.

It was hundreds of churches starting. Remember the 13 colonies

at that time? There were only 300,000 people in all

of the 13 colonies. That's the population of the greater

Tacoma area in the entire 13 colonies. The first great

awakening happened the first great awakening was not millions coming

to know the Lord 50,000 people were added to the

church in a short time 50,000 people that was a

great awakening it shifted all of America it shifted the

churches it shifted the colleges and the universities it shifted

everything that was the first great awakening the second great

awakening again propelled by prayer it was prayer Charles Finney

was the most renowned instrument of the Second Great Awakening.

And this is 1800 to 1850. From 1800 to 1850,

over 500,000 conversions, one half of a million conversions, over 350,000

people were added to the church's entire cities were turned

upside down for the Lord. Everywhere the revival would break out,

it was irresistible. People would come to churches like being

drawn to a tractor beam. People would, I mean, literally,

people would just come from all over the place. People

would come out of the woods and find, people would

be drawn by the Holy Spirit. You're We think that

the harvest is all up to us and we can't

even figure out how to make the harvest happen. But

I'm telling you, what has led the way in this

nation has been those who would pray and those who

would pray would lead the way for the glory. And

as the prayer went up, the glory would come down.

And the more prayer that went up, the more of

the glory that would come down. and the glory would

become uncontainable, and the glory would draw people in, and

the glory would break their hearts and melt their hearts. Literally,

where Charles Finney would go, there were two prayer warriors

that would go into the city first. Abel Carey and

Father Nash would lead the way. Have you heard of

these guys? Have you heard of Charles Finney and the

Charles Finney revival. If I put some of this stuff

up this week on the New Horizon Facebook, would you

go in and download it or read it if I

put some of this stuff up? Yes, is that a yes?

Now I'm throwing the markers. Hallelujah. Abel Carey, Abel Carey,

And Father Nash would go into every city before they

did a crusade three or four weeks in advance, and

all they would do is pray. They would pray for

hours upon hours upon hours upon hours. They would gather

others to pray. They would start a prayer meeting in

the city. And before you know it, because of that

efficacy of intercession, the strongholds over the city would be broken.

And by the time Charles Finney came, the taverns and

the bars would already be closing. The brothels would be closing.

You know what a brothel is? God bless you if

you don't. All of these houses of iniquity would be

shutting down and people would be rushing to the tent

to get born again. And thousands would get born again

in every situation, in every city. And I'm suggesting it

could happen again. I'm suggesting that it's happened multiple times.

I'm suggesting that it happened with William Seymour and the

Azusa Street outpouring. It happened with the Second Great Awakening.

It's happened so many times. But the enemy wants you

to think that you don't play a role in this.

The enemy wants us to be deceived and to think

that our sowing into the spirit realm will not produce

a reaping from the spirit realm. But God's saying, don't

be deceived. I will not be mocked. I will not

be found in contempt. I will not let you down.

I will not fail you. I will not let you

be scorned. I will not let you be discouraged. That

if you will sow much to the Spirit, you will

reap much from the Spirit. And this is the key

to revival. It's the key to glory. It's the key

to God breaking out. It's the key to victory in

our gatherings as we come together as lively stones. Because

we're coming out of a life of prayer. And we

come out of a life of prayer, but we're coming

together to offer ourselves together as a spiritual habitation, as

a house of prayer, a house of worship, and we

become irresistible to God. It's not a mystery. He can't

pass us over. What he's trying to say in Galatians 6, 7,

and 8 is that we literally have When we practice this,

he can't pass us over. He can't ignore us. He

can't pass us by. He can't decide it's not for us.

He isn't going to look the other way. There's not

some random thing here like, huh, I wonder if we

just really started giving ourselves a little bit more prayer,

I wonder if God would show up. You don't have

to wonder. That's what he's trying to say. Don't wonder,

don't worry. If you will give yourself to a little

bit more prayer, intercession, this is where we pray for others,

where we pray for something other than ourselves. We bring

something other than us before him. Petition, this is where

we ask for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. We ask to

move his hand toward things in the earth. Worship, this

is where we present ourselves before him. in adoration, humility, submission, obedience, declaration.

This is where we take what we've heard and the

revelation that's come to us and we get into agreement

with him and we begin to say it over the

very things that he's shown us to speak to, mountains

to move, roots to curse, things to change and transform.

Like if we'll give ourselves to a little bit more

of that We become irresistible. And the law of sowing

and reaping, the law of reciprocity is what actually controls

his glory. Isn't that wild? Isn't that wild? He's trying

to take the deception out of it. He's trying to

take the accusation out of it. He's trying to take

the working of the enemy out of it. What has

the enemy told you about the glory and about the presence?

Could it be that the word of James contradicts what

the enemy has told you? You know, James said, draw

near to me. Chapter 4, draw near to me. And

I'll draw near to you. Draw near to me. And

I'll draw near to you. 2 Corinthians chapter 10. Let's

stand this morning. 2 Corinthians chapter 9. I'm sorry. 2

Corinthians chapter 9. I think it's verse 6. This passage

is about giving. But it's about reciprocity. And since it's

about reciprocity, we can use it about any investment in God.

Prayer is an investment into the Spirit. Prayer is an

investment into transforming the earth. Partnering with Jesus. to transform

the earth. Partnering with Jesus for heaven to come. There's

a reason you're still in Pierce County. There's a reason

you're in Western Washington. There's a reason you're a part

of New Horizons Church. You're a revivalist. You're a transformation agent.

You're an ambassador of heaven. You have a higher calling

on your life. And God doesn't want you hopeless. God

wants you filled with hope. God wants you merchandising in hope.

He wants you distributing hope. And that hope exudes to us,

in us, and through us as we sow generously. This

I say, who... He who sows sparingly will reap sparingly.

You're wondering right now, why am I not hearing much

from God? Why isn't there a lot of God activity

in my life? And why isn't God like just showing

up with glory? And why isn't God interrupting me with

his crazy presence? Well, he who sows sparingly will reap sparingly.

It's so simple and so crazy. You know, the other

night even, we go to bed the other night, and

Joel said, Lord, I just pray you'd give us dreams tonight, right?

We don't pray this often. I had a dream that night.

Woke up in the morning, I'm like, what in the world?

Good prayer, honey. I had this crazy dream last night.

So I shared this crazy dream with a bunch of

the intercessors of the church. because God was showing us something.

But God honored a simple prayer. God honored a simple prayer.

This is what he's trying to say to us right now,

is that he will honor your prayer. And if you

will sow sparingly, you're going to keep reaping sparingly. But

if you will sow bountifully into the spirit realm, if

you will invest bountifully, if you'll begin to raise the

bountifulness of your prayer, of your worship, of your intercession,

your petition, your declaration, if you'll raise that up, even

to a bountiful level, right? You personally will begin to reap,

but then you come together again. As the house, the habitation,

we come together as the lively stones. When we come together,

there's a habitation built. When we come together, Zion is formed.

And we'll all reap a greater glory, and this glory

will become irresistible to the region. I've got a very

practical thing this morning. I have a clipboard. This is

known as the Church of the Clipboards. I have a clipboard.

I'm asking you this morning, if you're on board, I

have four choices on the clipboard. Don't sign up for

all four unless you're like crazy. I'm not asking you

to sign up for all four. But I'm asking as

a practical activation this morning that you would sign up

for maybe one of these four things. They're described at

the top. It's explained at the top. And then there's

an opportunity for you to, and I want your phone

number because I'm going to put you on a personal

intercession thread and I'm going to be sending you intercessory prayer, petition, request, insights, declarations,

and partnerships over these four areas because I just believe

the word of God. And I believe that if we

will sow more bountifully, we're going to reap more bountifully.

Number one, pray for revival in our state, in our region.

Number two, pray for revival with us specifically that we

carry revival and experience supernatural glory and salvations. Number three,

Pray 15 minutes before church. I'm asking that a bunch

of you would start arriving 15 minutes early on purpose

and just come to the front and just pray. So

11 o'clock service, just come at 1045 and just come

up and start praying over the service, over the worship team,

over Emmanuel. over Shana, over the worship leaders, over Ugo,

over the sound team, right? Over Gabriel, over Alex, over

all of our team members, over our teachers, over our classes.

Just come and just start seeding the atmosphere with prayer

for 15 minutes. 1045. You that attend this service, 1045.

was burdened for, and yours might not be, and you

don't have to dive in, but I want to see

a revival and an awakening out of Islam. And I'm

asking that you pray with me over the people of

Islam and that you begin to join with me that

the love of the Lord would pierce their hearts and

open the eyes of their understanding, and that we would

see a vast revival of those coming to the Lord

out of Islam. And I'm asking that you would join

me in that. Don't leave until you see the clipboard.

we thank you. We have a chance. We have an

opportunity for revival in our day. It's not hopeless. It's

not a mystery. It's not unattainable. We have a chance

for revival in our day. And we say yes to

bountiful sowing In the Spirit. In Jesus' name. And everybody

shout it.
