bestowed upon me was not in vain on but

I labored more abundantly than they all

yep yet not I but the grace of God which

life and I know you don't like talking

now cuz we need a word from

you woo w we need for you to speak to us

Shake us a little bit shake some of the

dust off of us in the name of

Jesus Ain't No Name worthy but

yours the focus belongs on you and you

alone so speak to us holy spirit about

this great

Savior and the life that we owe in Jesus

name

amen we are talking from the subject in

our general eneral theme of the Year

Covenant

conscious and we understand that a

covenant is an oath or a contract it's

binding is lifelong and it's cut between

at least two parties cut through

sacrifice through

what usually blood but always

precious but it is cut watch this now

and it has Privileges and

Promises rights and responsibilities is

in

it and it is given to create a sense of

confidence Clarity and carefulness of

life now I need for us to get a hold of

this fact that God cut Covenant for

us now you're going to have to be a good

quick class because he cut the Covenant

for

us Jesus is our representative this is

why I encourage you shake yourself when

you can listen to songs that are sung

about him and you won't sing

them I need somebody to talk to me shake

yourself when you have become overly

comfortable when it is time to lift your

hand and yours won't go up shake

yourself because you got to understand

who we're talking about we're not

talking about

me we're not talking about me and what

we have sacrifice oh that's that's got

its place but that's no no no we're

talking about

Jesus we're talking about the one that

humbled himself that did not need to

Humble himself that came down we say

through 42 Generations but really left

eternity to come into time so that he

could be our representative he watch

going to say what the life we were

supposed to live and died the death we

what deserve to die

he humbled himself and became as a man

and being found in fashion as a man he

humbled himself and became obedient unto

the cross even unto death even the death

of the Cross

Jesus

sinless strong enough that he could have

spoken a word and wiped out everybody

that ever even said the word

cross but humble enough to let him lay

him down and put him on

one God enough to speak the tree into

existence and loving and man enough to

die on the same tree he

spoke I'm talking about Jesus here I'm

talking about the sacrificial lamb the

blood that was put over your life that

makes the Death Angel have to pass

over the Mighty God Everlasting father

Prince of Peace I'm talking about Jesus

now we're not talking about a preacher

now we're talking about our savior our

Lord our King our friend my mother my

father my elder brother I'm talking

about Jesus now I'm talking about the

one that hears my prayer can answer my

prayer can fix me when I pray

Jesus I just don't think we can afford

to become overly comfortable or LAX or

passive At The Mention Of that name

Angels bow before him at the mention of

his name Heaven and Earth adore him good

me we have not I've not done it this

year but we'll get to it in in Genesis

15 when Abraham said God how can I be

confid ident and know for sure that

you're going to bless

me God said get the animals together

let's cut Covenant come on here

we're going to cut cover oh okay now I

know you're going to do it and then

Abraham after he had cut the animals

open and and and developed it laid it so

it was supposed to be the way it was

supposed to be and blood begin to fill

the middle Abraham's thinking I got to

keep the fouls off of them because you

the father is the smoking Furnace from

y'all and the Bible says that the

smoking furnace and the burning lamp cut

Covenant while Abram was

sleep that's what Jesus did for me

that's what he did for you watch this

knowing all your

frailties oh they better ask they not

they're not serious about it knowing our

weaknesses he said I will go down and

represent them because they're not going

to be able to do what they need to do

they're not even in the position to be

able to cut the Covenant with you so I

will go and be not only a representation

of what they can be but I will be their

representative so that the Covenant can

be cut and be sure that's why the

promise over your life is sure oh God I

need somebody to help me I said that's

why the promise over your life ain't

that what the CH said it is

so you said it to Abraham seed is

talking about

Christ so that the promise might be sure

to all the

seed and here's the concern that I

have we cannot afford E Church to be

shortsighted or self-centered about

Covenant because as he cut this Covenant

for

us there are promises in it there

privileges in it you got more power than

you

know oh y'all don't feel if you knew how

many demons tried to stop you just from

getting in the house today

if you knew how many how many minions of

the enemy you stepped over see we we

we've gotten so we're not even spiritual

anymore it's like we don't even know

that there's another world out there but

there is in the invisible realm darkness

that tries to hinder the child of God

but you just don't understand how much

power you have you don't understand the

power of the blood over you the devil

had a what you call the people offensive

line defensive line the devil has a

defensive line against you every time

you get ready to do anything spiritual

you just don't happen to understand that

because you walking with so much

strength you're just walking right over

have especially in your

Covenant because though there are quite

a few promises incredible

privileges there are rights in the C

you don't even understand

I my sense of selfworth doesn't come

from

eyelashes it doesn't come from what I

drive doesn't come from where I live I

the night y'all don't want to have

church with oh you're so bougie why are

you here you're so bougie y'all don't

know nothing about that it would a

little pop in the middle of the night I

said babe go get it cuz I wasn't F to

take it off you understand what I'm

rich rich people you you didn't you

were saying we believed it so much so

till everybody in the community thought

it was already done they were right it

was already done in the spirit but we

kept on speaking until we brought it

from the spirit into

now everybody in Greenville in our

community know I've been I've drove the

same truck for 10 years to happy big

blue right but I was thinking about it

when they was said the the what is that

ladies the little Network they were

supposed to been mothers of school kids

supposed to been talking about the

children but they were online and they

were talking about me I ain't done

nothing to them and they said she only

rides in

rolls-royces I said well I know y'all

must have seen me it's not like I'm hard

to see in this big blue truck for the

last decade

that just in case that's what the Lord

want for my next V oh y'all ain't ready

to have church are you stop letting what

people say bother you they might just be

prophesying don't let them bother you

believe that there is a josh check this

I believe that there's a rarely

considered part of the

Covenant I think we're self-centered

sometimes in that you what can I get

what am I going to get what I get again

but I came to tell you you have a

responsibility to go

after everything Jesus died to give

you he ain't done it since but I'll pick

at him he owes me money so I can I can

say it today I bring it up sometimes

because it was so devastating to me when

we went to I had to preach for Uncle

Wills I didn't know I was going to

preach for him I thought I was just

going to his church so TJ and I had gone

and uh but he he wanted me to preach

well long story Store Short they a home

bunch of

money he told me when they asked me he

said Rosie I can't pay you he said but

I have him take up you know he wore that

ponytail so and uh I think they gave me

$9,000 amen I mean they're not even my

members they just walked around

just I need to go back no I'm just

saying and uh so anyway we went so I

figured hey I had no idea I was going to

have that cuz I was going to hear him

preach so I was like oh wow this is so

great you know of course me and Bo we

like counting we just oh we just in a

zone so we went to play this golf course

we pull up all these major cars that he

knew them all I didn't know them but

they I could tell they cost a lot of

money so we just pulling up and it's

like wow it and we got a C didn't we

have a caddy too it's $1,100 for us to

golf baby

you not a chance in this word he would

well you know TJ and I we didn't care we

like hey let's do it but it was the

hardest heal infested it was so much

going on well he wasn't playing well and

he said I'm

quitting I don't know if I had stopped

cussing the way I should have at that

point but people I was somewhere between

cuss

and choke him where you put your fingers

to the back of his

throat right I was so

mad you going to play this course you I

don't care if you lose every ball you

going to hit till you and then when

ain't no ball you going to hit

rocks we not quitting off night and

spend

$1,100 and this has been at

least 15

years now as hard as that

is how much did he pay for your peace

for you to let folk disrupt

it oh I don't hear the same amount of

holler they were hollering laughing at

you you don't you don't hear that now do

you how much did he

pay for you to believe for the best

salary okay

how much did he pay for you to know that

you never have to feel lonely because he

will be with you and give you what you

need uhuh look at you okay how much did

he pay for your healing how much did he

pay for your

get you to understand today you owe it

to God to get everything he paid for

okay okay that's okay no

worries we owe God to fulfill our

calling and pursue our

covenant you know we don't talk about

callings

much I remember being called to

preach I was in high school i' given my

life to the

Lord and

uh start started trying to change and

and you you know do what he told me to

do you know like I said the cussing

thing was very hard because I was so

used to it so you know and then playing

basketball took me took me some months

to kind of get that thing curtailed you

don't roll up on people week

two after salvation everything ain't

quite you know ain't quite got a handle

on everything yet right and but I was

making the

changes because I thank God for saving

me you understand

so I got into I think it maybe the 11th

or 12th grade and I 12th grade and all

of a sudden I could just feel like God

wanted more out of me Courtney I I just

and I mean I was living nothing wrong

with living for the Lord there nothing

wrong with that because you know he

could have been calling me into any kind

of service he could have been calling me

to you know my my occupation as a as a

Ministry but I felt him

calling I felt like I was supposed to be

telling something

I was supposed to be preaching and then

I went through the thing where every

verse seemed to have something to do

with preaching I like wait a minute and

then I was like but I'm Missionary

Baptist we don't even believe in women

preachers and the only reference I had

really for a woman preacher was a woman

named Reverend Annie Lou Davis the only

thing they did was ask her to stand

during the yearly

Revival that's all I ever heard I never

heard a woman preaching T not none of

that and then I remember uh my

grandfather's the church almost Mount

Olive Miss Ary

Baptist uh almost having a fight over a

$200 vehicle

allowance I and I stood I didn't know I

was supposed to I stood up and as can I

say something this seems stupid to me

you want him to go visit all these

people you ain't going to give him the

what he supposed to do walk

skateboard well I didn't know you Wen

supposed you were a child you weren

supposed so I already knew right there

this say this something this might not

be for me

but he called me and can I share

something with you you may be sitting in

those pews but don't think yourself a

cheerleader for my call God has a call

on your

life oh somebody said well Pastor what's

the difference between a call and

purpose I believe there's overall

purpose for our lives of course to

worship to work and to witness I got

that that's that's nailed down if you

have no other clue what you supposed to

be doing your hands supposed to be in

the air go and put them up right right

now put them up right now no you that's

all the good he been to you you could

barely get them up off your now if your

shoulder was hurt I bet you'd want to

lift them up wouldn't you okay your

worship that's an example you and I are

all called To

Worship we're all called to serve or

work huh and we're all called to

witness so that's a general purpose but

I believe calling is the carved out

expression out of the overall purpose of

God what God wants to be how he wants to

express through

you some of you are called to

write some of you are called to Children

you're called to seniors you're called

to this that or the other and boy that's

where your fulfillment takes

place you got to be faithful to it see

there are some things that God can do in

your life there are certain things that

can H I wish I could just sit and talk

with you I dressed up for you but I see

these shoes are almost on their way out

I've done all I

can I did I did good too there 25

minutes in

them my God I here's the thing I wish I

could just sit and talk with you because

through experiences and

epiphanies it can shift

you I've had a few y'all remember Sister

Annie

Floyd when yeah you're you when her

husband died

di in the room I had an epiphany about

love Reverend Williams who built the

first

Philippi he was at our church as he was

older before he passed he attended

cornerer and I remember going to his

house over there Shar not far from where

we used to

live and I saw the state that he was

living in I had an epiphany

that's why I get paid right

now cuz I determined I wasn't going to

work my whole life and then have to eat

something that you supposed to give to

an animal oh no I'm not doing that

phenomenal man everybody got is well

what if there was a problem don't who

doesn't have a problem in

here who who who's that who's that

Sanctified let me see who I can

find I had an epiphany just like with

David there are certain

experiences that God has allowed you to

have that was supposed to change

you that person clowning on you like

that to hurt you so bad that was

supposed to make a mark on

you PA said want he said I bear in my

body the marks there are certain things

God let happen to you because there was

no other way to teach you and so that

scar is there to remind you don't ever

go down that street again

after David killed

Goliath chapter 17 he turned it out cut

the cut that Giant's head off and took

it over to his mama's

house here you go that a little cold

there but he was a warrior he said don't

let the heart fool you oh God that was

funny y'all missed

it but the Bible says in chapter 18

David couldn't go home

get you to give God the worship and give

God praise and open your mouth because

you can get to a certain place in the

presence of God that it will seal you in

a way nothing else will oh y'all don't

feel like having Church okay okay okay

okay you can have an experience with God

see you first come oh that church was

great I enjoyed he's fun he was funny I

learned a lot it was amazing it's great

music and and you go on you said I'mma

go back but if life hits you

wrong but you mess around and get in

here and let the Holy Ghost get a hold

of you you mess around and go beyond the

Casual Observer and become a participant

in the presence of God God can touch you

of depression and give you some joy that

last I came to get you out of debt not

just spiritual debt but came to get you

out of any change any shackles any

feathers y'all ain't having church with

me so my question is if he came for that

why aren't you fighting to keep

anybody trying to pull me away from my

Covenant

blessings I got to deal with you like

cancer we owe God a whole holy

life I didn't get as much harder thank I

got three people seven yeah we owe God a

holy

life so Pastor but I've been struggling

well keep on

struggling struggle until you stop

it whatever it is cuz the devil is using

it to try to keep you in

snared we owe him a holy life a Jesus

centered life

we owe him to be connected to the

body you going to let Jesus establish a

church and you don't feel like you need

to be in it no come on and we owe him to

fulfill our calling but

today I want you to look at three things

God help

me good

gracious number

one see the pursuit of the God blessed

life as a part of fulfilling the

Covenant your part of fulfilling it

pursuing this life what' I

say you got to pursue it

y'all you got to pursue

it pursuing this life the Covenant

benefits that's a part that's my part

thank you of fulfilling the

Covenant so if I have a dream

to leave that dream where I don't go

after it after he freed me and gave me a

a clean heart so I can trust that

desire what would it look like for God

to provide all of that and then you walk

off from

it people say I hate my job okay I love

you right now I understand in two weeks

if that's the same testimony and you

ain't done nothing between last the two

weeks and now I'm getting ready to say

well that's about to be your fault ain't

it because you could start while you're

working the job you don't like go to

night school to learn to do what you

want to do and get so good at it you can

make more money doing what you

love who told you Satan that you

couldn't have what God put in your heart

who told you you couldn't change careers

Midstream who told you you couldn't find

somebody that loves you now you ain't

going to find them stuck in the house

24/7 but who told

you who told you you had to wait the

travel y'all not going to talk to me who

told me you could who told you you

couldn't have a meeting with the person

you want to you want to meet so and so

meet them somebody knows them you ain't

but three or four five maybe five people

away from any person almost in the

world especially

here who doesn't Bishop Jake

know we've had access to come on

think you got to see the pursuit of the

God blessed life as a part of fulfilling

your side of the Covenant I'm trying to

get you to a point where you decide you

are not going to be boxed

in Jesus did didn't die for you to be

boxed in he didn't die for you to settle

for less he didn't die so you could sing

could have should have W would have he

that the sun set free is free indeed I

ain't got nobody to talk to Leela they

and figure out how we going to get along

studying something they said that um uh

almost 91% or 92% of children when

they're very very young like four or

five they test up in the genius

range then by the time they're 12 it has

dropped so much by the time they're 18

it's down up in like 5% and by the time

they're 20 something is down to 2% now

unless there's some kind of juice we

drinking that makes you dumb

that is the result of people in their

ear telling them what they can't do you

shouldn't do it that way I don't think

you ought to approach it this way when

are you going to get people out your ear

and put the word of God in your ear the

Bible said I can do

all y'all don't feel like having

Church all

things and I have a responsibility

ago to only want to survive when it's

self-centered all I need hone just get

me I just all I need just enough to make

it you're just is self-centered why you

don't you don't want to have extra so

you can help

somebody you you you you you don't want

to be able to help somebody down the

tell me it's not in you I don't believe

you cuz he gave you a new heart if I see

somebody at the grocery store and look

like they can't pay for their food it'll

make me put my banana bread back back

cuz something in me said I want to be a

blessing to him I know what it is to

struggle who told you you couldn't be

person and don't tell me nothing about

experience well I ain't ain't nobody

ever done nothing for me ain't nobody

me I already showed you experience can

change you but you have to judge

experiences I do that example all the

time where I say who's never had it I'm

not doing it today cuz I didn't ain't

got no pocket see that you don't want me

to dress up do you see if I had on my

jeans I could have pulled some money out

of my pocket so now you just got to

imagine

example right I always say who I ask for

somebody who's never had anybody really

give them any money so from them their

experience says no that doesn't happen

then I give it to them so now everything

they built their expectation on has been

found to be

get up about 37 you got a couple bills

go because you may have the competence

but your character does not fit it's not

congruent with the rest of the team and

then you stand around there fussing and

cussing as you are being escorted out
