Passion Week 2025 - Holy Saturday - Matthew 27:59-60

it's Saturday and Jesus is in the tomb

The noise is gone The crowds and the

chaos of town have gone back to normal

and all that's left is silence Let's

read from Matthew 27:es 59 and 60 And

Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a

clean linen shroud and laid it in his

own new tomb which he had cut in the

rock And he rolled a great stone to the

entrance of the tomb and went away Can

you imagine what the disciples must have

been feeling grief confusion not knowing

what was coming next But we know what

they didn't Sunday was coming Holy

Saturday teaches us how to wait Even

when we feel like God is silent Even in

the silence God is working So if you're

in a season that feels like a tomb it's

dark and quiet and uncertain know that

God is always working behind the scenes

Jesus shows us that sometimes the

silence is just the space before the

miracle
