  1. And so the title of the message today, the moment, everything

  2. changed. Are you ready for this judge?

  3. Shall I put that up there? Because Jesus is alive.

  4. Jesus rose from the grave. Because Jesus, everything

  5. changed. Amen.

  6. Everything changed, everything changed.

  7. So let me put that up there. The moment everything change,

  8. Hallelujah. Glory be to God.

  9. I believe before this service is over, something big is about to

  10. take place. God is about to show himself,

  11. make himself real in a very personal way to us today.

  12. God is about to make himself real to somebody in this room

  13. today. Are you ready for this?

  14. Hallelujah. OK, this is not just another

  15. service, OK, this everything can change.

  16. This can be your turning point. This can be your moment where

  17. everything change, OK? This can be your God moments.

  18. I'm sensing a God moment in this place.

  19. A moment, a personal moment with your God, a my God moment.

  20. Come on, say that. This is my God moments.

  21. Oh Hallelujah. So you're ready for the word

  22. because we're going to go straight into John chapter 20.

    John 20 chapter mention

  23. Hallelujah. God has been sharing a powerful

  24. word and I want to release that the way God showed me John

    John 20 chapter mention

  25. chapter 20. So go with me to John 20 and

  26. we're going to pick it up from verse 24.

  27. It says now Thomas called the twin one of the 12 was not with

  28. them when Jesus came. He was not with them, right.

  29. So I want us to get this doubting Thomas, we was not with

  30. them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore

  31. said to him, OK, we've seen the Lord.

  32. So this is what Thomas said, unless I see his hands and the

  33. print of the nails and put my finger into the print of the

  34. nail and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.

  35. Now watch this after 8 days. OK, so this is not a week later

  36. Jesus come back, disciples were again inside and Thomas with me

  37. right? So this time Thomas, there Jesus

  38. came, the doors being shut and locked and stood in the midst

  39. and said peace to you. Then he said to Thomas, reach

  40. your finger, yeah look at my hands and reach your hand here

  41. and put into my side. Do not be unbelieving but

  42. believing. And Thomas answered and said to

  43. him, oh, here it comes. Here's the my God moment.

  44. My Lord and my godfather, we thank you for your presence in

  45. this place. We thank you that because Jesus

  46. is alive, everything changed. Lord, speak to every heart,

  47. every person. Let faith arise.

  48. And God, let this today be a personal moment, a my God

  49. personal moment with you this morning in Jesus mighty name, we

  50. pray somebody say I may. So what I love about this

  51. passage of scripture here in John chapter 20 about this

    John 20 chapter mention

  52. Easter scripture is not only the fact that Jesus rose from the

  53. grave, but also about the fact that Jesus still meets people

  54. personally. And I love that how we came

  55. personally to Thomas. He still comes personally and

  56. yes, Thomas doubting. And so Jesus still comes

  57. personally to those. Maybe somebody feels unsure,

  58. maybe disappointed or wounded, struggling.

  59. And he still comes to those who feel like he has missed the

  60. moment. Maybe you feel somebody that

  61. feels like missed an opportunity missed the moment.

  62. OK. And I love how Thomas he walk

  63. with Jesus for 3 1/2 years. He heard him teach, he watched

  64. him move. He watched Jesus perform healing

  65. miracles, science and oneness for 3 1/2 years.

  66. And then Jesus died. Oh, and the Friday is not always

  67. like a Good Friday because it wasn't disappointing for the

  68. disciples disappointment Jesus and gone.

  69. The leader is gone. And so Jesus, after the death,

  70. he rose, and from his restriction, his first

  71. appearance, Oh my goodness, Thomas is not there.

  72. Ooh, okay, so Thomas missed that moment.

  73. And that's how many people feel today.

  74. Maybe you feel you have missed a moment.

  75. Maybe you feel you've missed an opportunity.

  76. Maybe you feel that you've missed and a relationship or a

  77. career, or you've missed, you've lost years.

  78. You feel that you should be further along by now and you

  79. feel that you have missed an opportunity, missed the moment.

  80. And so deep down you're saying like, listen, I have missed my

  81. moment. Maybe that is how you feel like

  82. Thomas. And this is a very powerful

  83. story here from Thomas, a story that we are learning to that

  84. we're seeing because it reminds us that missing a moment doesn't

  85. mean missing God doesn't mean missing God's mercy.

  86. OK, because and this is what I love because Jesus came back

  87. Hallelujah. OK, so missing doesn't mean

  88. missing his. Eight days later, the.

  89. Bible says Jesus came. Back, OK.

  90. And I love the fact that when Jesus came back, he was not, he

  91. said, listen Thomas, that's too bad.

  92. You missed your moment. You were not there.

  93. Jesus did not say, Thomas, you were not there because you were

  94. not there because you missed your moment.

  95. OK, you missed me. Jesus did not say that.

  96. Eight days later, when Jesus came, he released an encounter.

  97. There was an encounter, a personal moment, a God moment.

  98. And so I love the fact that Jesus came back for him.

  99. He came back for the one who fell.

  100. They missed. Come.

  101. On somebody, Are you creating this message?

  102. From the book of John. Hallelujah.

  103. And so I just love our merciful, our King, our comeback King.

  104. Hallelujah, somebody, the comeback king, the comeback

  105. Jesus, he comes back for us. And so maybe if you feel that,

  106. you know, it's you feel you've missed an opportunity or you

  107. feel wasted years, missed opportunities, OK, maybe you

  108. feel late, but you are not too late.

  109. Maybe you feel missed, but you are not being left out or you've

  110. missed something or too much, but you have not missed God's

  111. mercy. I mean, somebody, are you

  112. getting this? And so the enemy would come with

  113. condemnation and try and and and put guilt and shame and say,

  114. well, you've missed it. The.

  115. Enemy is the one that brings condemnation, guilt and say

  116. you've missed your moment, you've missed your, you've

  117. missed that relationship, you've missed that career, you've

  118. missed that. That's the enemy, not Jesus.

  119. Jesus, Easter says this and I know how to come back for you.

  120. OK Thomas, you were not there the first appearance you were

  121. not there, but I just yelled to tell.

  122. Jesus knows how to come back. Jesus knows how to find you.

  123. Jesus knows how to find the Thomas and I just love that.

  124. Can we put our house together for King Jesus?

  125. Yeah, come back, King. He knows how to come back.

  126. Maybe you've missed the moment, but you thought he missed his

  127. mercy. And that is one of the things I

  128. love about God, that you know, he's not just the God of perfect

  129. people. He's not just the God of people

  130. that always gets the first time right, always get it right the

  131. first time always. He's the God of imperfect

  132. people, rough ages, wrong turns, messy situations and stories.

  133. OK, that he still loves you. He still believes in you.

  134. Even sometimes when you struggle believing in yourself, He still

  135. loves you, He still comes for you.

  136. He knows how to find you. Okay.

  137. And that is what I want us to get today in this message that

  138. you may have missed a moment, but you've not missed His mercy.

  139. You've not missed His mercy, you've not missed the grace of

  140. God. Hallelujah.

  141. That is a good news of Easter. Now I want to tell you because

  142. the Bible says in verse 26, yeah it says after 8 days these

  143. disciples were again inside and Thomas with them and Jesus came

  144. the doors being shut and stood in the mint and said peace.

  145. Now I love that little phrase. Thomas was with them.

  146. Hallelujah. So this time, OK, he is now with

  147. them. Thomas is dead even still.

  148. Full. Of questions, doubts, unsure, do

  149. not understand it all, don't have it all together.

  150. But this is what I love about Thomas.

  151. Even doubting Thomas. We all believe he's been labeled

  152. doubting Thomas, even though he's still full of questions,

  153. unsure. He come back anyway now.

  154. Oh my God, I love that. I love that phrase that he come

  155. back anyway, like, oh, I, I don't have all the questions.

  156. I don't, I don't understand everything.

  157. I kind of explain that, OK, but come back anyway.

  158. And that is such a powerful word because sometimes faith doesn't

  159. mean having all the answers. Faith doesn't always mean we've

  160. got it all together. Everything perfect, all figured

  161. out. But showing up, Lord, I do not

  162. understand everything I do not have.

  163. Lord, I don't feel great. I don't feel very sure.

  164. I don't feel on top of Lord I. But I'm still coming anyway.

  165. Yeah, Lord, I'm struggling with this.

  166. I don't have the question. It feels like life has been so

  167. unfair. Life has knocked the wind out of

  168. me. But Lord, I'm still coming

  169. anyway. And I love how Thomas even

  170. doubting Thomas he still shows up.

  171. Comes. Anyway.

  172. And that is real faith, because real faith is not pretending

  173. that we have all the answers. OK?

  174. It's not pretending that we have no questions, but faith is

  175. bringing the questions in the presence of Jesus, bringing the

  176. doubt, the unsurety into the prisons.

  177. And maybe that is where you are today.

  178. You did not come here today feeling on top of the world that

  179. everything's perfect, strong, OK.

  180. You didn't come here and and feeling that you know,

  181. everything is perfect. Maybe you come here and you're

  182. facing some private battles. Maybe you've had a rough week,

  183. you're facing some difficulties and some challenges and you just

  184. cannot explain it all. But what I love is that you

  185. showed up and this is amazing. I thank God that you I'm glad

  186. you are here today. I'm glad you showed up because

  187. you showed it that matters. Come on somebody, it matters.

  188. And that's what I love when we tell one another, listen, I'm so

  189. glad you are here. I'm so glad you are at the right

  190. place at the right time of all places where people like you've

  191. come to church on Easter Sunday morning, you've showed up.

  192. That matters somebody. Are you getting this?

  193. It's it matters that you're showing up because sometimes the

  194. greatest faith, it's just simply showing up.

  195. Yeah. Yeah, just.

  196. Simply showing up. OK, yeah, we don't understand

  197. it. We don't have all the reason,

  198. maybe feel doubts on the skin, but we're showing up.

  199. We're showing up OK. Showing up to church when my

  200. heart, if my heart feels heavy. But I'm showing up for church.

  201. You show up for worship. Life has been unfair, but we're

  202. showing up for worship. We're showing up to pray when

  203. all I can say is 1 St. and says is Lord, here I am.

  204. I feel. Broken, I feel doubt, but you

  205. know what? I'm showing up for church.

  206. I'm coming to you. And I love that when Thomas

  207. says, listen, I'm going to show up.

  208. And Thomas, he did not wait until everything in his life is

  209. perfect. I've got all the questions on

  210. everything. Thomas was with her.

  211. He showed up, Hallelujah. Even through disappointment,

  212. through difficulties and trials, he decided, listen, he kept

  213. showing up. And I want to encourage somebody

  214. here today keep on showing up. Keep on believing, keep on

  215. praying, keep on Lily, keep on story up.

  216. Hallelujah. Because when you keep on

  217. showing, it's an act of faith and it's one touch, one

  218. encounter with God. And everything shifts.

  219. Everything changes in a moment. And that's what I love about

  220. Thomas. Oh, he might not have been there

  221. the first time when Jesus, but he came back and we are here

  222. today. We show up and when it comes, I

  223. believe God is about to reveal himself to somebody in this room

  224. today. Everything changes.

  225. Keep showing up. Tell your neighbors they keep

  226. showing up. Yeah.

  227. Keep showing up, Keep showing up.

  228. Keep showing up. Hey, man, keep showing up

  229. because we are here not for relief.

  230. We are here for God. We are here for the Lord and we

  231. keep showing up. Now here's one of my favorite

  232. parts of the story because you know, Thomas said, OK, so the

  233. disciple said, so Thomas missed the first one.

  234. And they're all like, hey, Jesus alive.

  235. You know Thomas, like unless I see, unless I touch, unless I, I

  236. will not believe unless Now when Thomas said that Jesus was not

  237. visibly standing there when Thomas said I if I don't touch

  238. and see for myself, if I don't, I will not believe.

  239. Jesus was not standing there when Thomas said that statement.

  240. So what does? But then a week later when Jesus

  241. appeared, 8 days later, Jesus answered Thomas word by word.

  242. What does that mean? It means Jesus was listening the

  243. whole time. My car.

  244. No, he's listening the whole time.

  245. Jesus heard Thomas say those words.

  246. Jesus heard the doubt. Jesus heard the struggle.

  247. Jesus heard the pain behind those.

  248. Words. Jesus is listening.

  249. I'm here to tell you that Jesus is listening.

  250. God, Yes, he is us. Come on.

  251. Are you getting this somebody? Yeah.

  252. He heard Thomas, he heard the dog, he heard the struggle, he

  253. heard the pipe. And then Jesus answered him word

  254. for word. And I believe that's a word for

  255. somebody to die. Because maybe you have been

  256. praying for your family. Maybe you've been praying for

  257. healing, for peace, for breakthrough.

  258. Maybe you've been praying for. For your future.

  259. And maybe you've not seen it in the moment yet, but that doesn't

  260. mean God did not hear. Doesn't mean God didn't hear

  261. just because you didn't get the answer quickly.

  262. You see, the enemy wants to twist it and say, well, God's

  263. not listening, but the devil is a liar.

  264. Because this story, Thomas, it shows us, it breaks the lie, and

  265. it shows us the truth that Jesus hears everything.

  266. He. God hears everything.

  267. He hears us in our pain, our difficulty hears.

  268. Us Oh, you worked with. Somebody OK, so he heard Thomas

  269. and so he hears you. Jesus is listening.

  270. Somebody say Jesus is listening. Yeah, Jesus is listening.

  271. Yeah, he's listening. You know how people joke about

  272. the phones? That's listening.

  273. OK, if you know, So whatever technology, AI technology might

  274. be a lecture or do you have Google or what's the other one,

  275. Siri. OK, so if you've got Siri or

  276. Google or phones listening, you know, people are joking.

  277. You mentioned one thing and then all of a sudden on your phone,

  278. these adverts are popping up. Why, yeah, I'm not.

  279. OK, This is listening because, you know, I just mentioned

  280. something about taking a holiday and all of a sudden there's

  281. flights coming showing up on my phone, Hotel bookings are just

  282. popping up on the photos. I'm like, OK, so this

  283. technology. So, yeah, I mean, that's made by

  284. man. So that's technology mate, if

  285. that can pick up the whisper. How much more your Heavenly

  286. Father can a yellow cry of your heart if the phone, if

  287. technology can, Yeah. Listen, God Almighty can hear

  288. the cry of your heart. You can hear the thoughts you're

  289. thinking God, yes. I mean that it's a phone that is

  290. made by man. Man is made by God.

  291. And. Yes, technology that can pick up

  292. a whisper, but God who made you, God who formed you, knows your

  293. cry of your heart, your silent thoughts.

  294. Every little prayer you say, just like that, God knows.

  295. God picks it up more than a poem.

  296. He's a creator. He's our Father.

  297. He hears our heart, He hears our cry.

  298. Your silent thought that you have been asking maybe, Lord,

  299. are you listening? Well, I'm here to tell you, yes,

  300. he is listening. He heard Thomas, and he is you

  301. too. Somebody shout Hallelujah.

  302. Yeah, he. He is you and you know, at the

  303. right time. And I just love that.

  304. Yeah. Eight days later.

  305. Yes, Jesus, he's on the scene at the right time.

  306. God knows exactly how to answer you.

  307. That. Prayer.

  308. You've been praying about your family, about the relationship,

  309. about the situation. God is ready.

  310. He knows exactly how to answer you and your prayer.

  311. Are you with me, somebody? Yeah.

  312. Nothing can stop Jesus. Nothing can stop it.

  313. If a tomb, a sealed tomb. Hell in the grave, death and

  314. darkness. Or cannot stop him.

  315. Nothing can stop him. There's no buryer.

  316. There's no wall. In fact, the Bible says he

  317. walked through the walls. How do you explain?

  318. It when the doors rocked, the disciples are all hiding.

  319. They're all behind shut and closed doors, and you're Jesus.

  320. The Bible doesn't say he walked through the door.

  321. He appeared. Come on, somebody, nothing's

  322. going to be. There's no barrier that can stop

  323. Jesus from coming in, OK? And so these are disciples and

  324. so they, they, they saviour has died.

  325. And Friday wasn't just Good Friday, it was, it's quite a

  326. rough Friday because he's gone, he's dead.

  327. He died on the cross. OK, that was hard for them.

  328. And so now they are afraid. So fear shut the door, grief

  329. shut the door, disappointment shut the door.

  330. So they behind closed doors. But what I love about the fact

  331. Jesus came anyway. He came anyway, OK.

  332. And so we all know what shut doors feel like.

  333. It might be emotional, it might be a relationship failure,

  334. relationship breakdown. Now we hurt, so we shut our

  335. hearts. People offend us.

  336. And so then you shut the heart. Maybe you threw a heart or a

  337. difficult situation in your life.

  338. And so in that area of your life, you should be behind

  339. closed doors. Shut doors, shut your heart.

  340. That's what happens. But what I love about Jesus, OK,

  341. the good news is that he knows how to come right in to the

  342. places where we need him most. Jesus knows exactly how to come

  343. into those areas. He knows exactly how to come

  344. into a broken heart. Jesus knows exactly how to come

  345. into a troubled mind. He knows exactly how to come

  346. into your situation. A weary situation may be a

  347. difficult family. He knows exactly how to come in

  348. and intervene. And what I love about the fact

  349. when he walked into that room, he just released peace, Shalom.

  350. And he brings peace, and he comes into a broken heart, and

  351. he says be healed. Come on somebody, that's our

  352. listen, saviour. No limitations.

  353. He. Can come and bypass the

  354. situation would right into an emotional mindset situation and

  355. he can bring peace and calmness to your mind.

  356. He can bring stress peace into a stressful situation just like

  357. that. He can calm the storm like that.

  358. Hallelujah. Praise God, Somebody.

  359. Yeah. So when Jesus, he walked into

  360. that room and this is what I love.

  361. He went straight to Thomas. Yeah.

  362. He went straight to the one that's struggling.

  363. He went straight to the one that's doubting Thomas,

  364. Hallelujah. I love that about our God

  365. because he's he doesn't move away from struggles.

  366. Disappointment hurts. He doesn't move away from.

  367. He walked towards it, he walks towards the one that's

  368. struggling in the room. Hallelujah, Somebody.

  369. Somebody's getting that Jesus. Doesn't move away.

  370. He moves towards the one that's unsure.

  371. He moves towards the one that's got the questions and that

  372. feels, oh, I'm doubting, I'm not going to believe that Jesus went

  373. straight to it. And I love that about his

  374. Murphy, his mercy. And he moves toward the one

  375. who's saying, Lord, I want to believe, but I'm really

  376. struggling. I don't understand this.

  377. I've got questions about this. I don't know about this, you

  378. see, but Jesus comes in. And there's that encounter and I

  379. love the fact that this count, it changes because that's who he

  380. is. And that's still he's he's

  381. that's what he does today. He comes to every situation,

  382. every one of us that has got a situation and he comes.

  383. Now let me give you another example.

  384. Because this is our God. This is his nature, his love,

  385. his kindness, his mercy. Think about Peter the very next

  386. chapter. When you finish chapter John 20,

  387. the very next chapter, it talks about Peter.

  388. Now, Peter, we know he denied Jesus three times when he

  389. promised that he never would. But.

  390. Then there was pressure, and the pressure was so much that he

  391. failed. And then when the rooster crowd,

  392. he knew exactly what he did. He didn't deny Jesus.

  393. He knew and about. He went out and he wet bitterly.

  394. If there's anybody that I felt disqualified, it had to be

  395. Peter. He failed but what I love about

  396. after. The cross.

  397. When Jesus resurrected, come back, King.

  398. He didn't just come back for time.

  399. He came back for the very nature for Peter.

  400. Oh my God, please. I wish I had more time to go

  401. into John 21 how he restore peace because he went.

  402. And the Bible says on resurrection morning, the Angel

  403. didn't just say go tell the disciples.

  404. The Angel said, go tell the disciples.

  405. And Peter, No, I love that. Yeah, Heaven named him.

  406. Yeah, heaven named the one that failed.

  407. Heaven named the one that stumbled that.

  408. Denied Jesus three times that messed up heaven named him and

  409. called him Oh Hallelujah my God, somebody heaven knew and.

  410. Heaven was saying, listen, we knew Peter, we knew what

  411. happened and we knew how ashamed you must feel, but we still

  412. calling you we. Still calling you?

  413. Oh my God, I'm still calling your name.

  414. OK, that's the gospel. When you fail, God doesn't turn

  415. away from you. Keep this in your spirit today.

  416. When you fail and make a mistake, God doesn't turn away

  417. from you, He writes towards you. How about somebody's going to

  418. get when you fall? When my son, when my children

  419. fall, I don't move away from them, I run to them.

  420. When you fall, when you fail miserably, God writes towards

  421. you with his mercy. That's.

  422. The God that we serve, that's how nature of our God.

  423. He comes running towards you with mercy, Tom.

  424. Thomas was doubting Thomas. But listen, he Jesus came back

  425. for him. Thomas doubted, Peter denied.

  426. Jesus came back for both. Look at those powerful examples.

  427. Thomas and Peter, Jesus came back.

  428. So if you came in today and you're thinking, well, I've made

  429. too many mistakes in life, I've messed up too many times, I

  430. could have done better. I should have been further along

  431. by now. I should have been.

  432. I've missed my moment. If that's you, this message is

  433. for you that God is saying I'm still know you, I still know

  434. your name and I'm still coming for you.

  435. I still calling you. Still calling you.

  436. Still calling you? Come on, somebody.

  437. Come on, he's still calling you. He's still coming for you.

  438. He's. Still coming, Maybe you feel

  439. unsure, difficult and struggles, but He's still coming for you.

  440. He still comes for you. So don't let the enemy lie.

  441. Don't let the enemy come with distractions.

  442. Don't let the enemy tell you well, you know, when you make a

  443. mistake, God turns away from you.

  444. Don't believe the lies of the enemy, OK?

  445. Because there's no problem or struggle or fail.

  446. The struggle does not repel Jesus.

  447. Come on, somebody doesn't repel Jesus.

  448. It doesn't mean now because you struggle, OK, Now he loves you

  449. less because he loves you less. No, they trolls.

  450. That's what happened. You can see from scripture how

  451. he drew the the mercy of God. Jesus will appear in that room.

  452. OK, immediately, right there, Jesus walked to Thomas.

  453. Are. You with me?

  454. Somebody can we move the camera to the back brother, please.

  455. It's distracting people. Thank you.

  456. So what I'm saying here is his heart and his nature, the nature

  457. of God. That's what we I want you to

  458. grab hold of this picture that there is Thomas.

  459. He's struggling. He's unsure, but Jesus come

  460. wrought to him. Are you grabbing hold of us?

  461. That's that's the proof. Thomas is the proof.

  462. Romans chapter 2 talks about the goodness of God, not the

    Romans 2 chapter mention

  463. condemnation. Jesus did not point the finger

  464. to Thomas. Thomas, why didn't you turn up

  465. the phone? Why?

  466. Where were you? Jesus never point the finger.

  467. Romans 2 verse what the Bible says.

  468. It's the goodness of God that leads to repentance.

  469. It's a love, the kindness of God.

  470. God comes as very kind. Many times it's been portrayed

  471. God has been misrepresented by religion.

  472. That is an angry God. No, the Bible does not say that.

  473. The Bible says it's the goodness of God the loving Father.

  474. That. Leads to repentance.

  475. That's what little Peter the goodness, the kindness, the love

  476. of we see this Jesus comes back every time, restores Peter.

  477. We know you fell three times, Thomas, let's restore you.

  478. It's the goodness of God that brings change.

  479. It's the kindness of God. That's when everything changes.

  480. It's an encounter with Jesus, the goodness of Jesus with his

  481. love. Amen.

  482. And so finally, what I love when Jeff, yes, Thomas, and when he

  483. finally encountered the the living Jesus, he made one of the

  484. highest, most powerful, greatest declarations in all of the

  485. Bible. Thomas answered, my Lord and my

  486. God, Jeez, my Lord, Thomas, I said to him, my Lord, my God,

  487. what a change. Everything shifted.

  488. One moment when he encountered the real Jesus.

  489. That's kind. That's loving.

  490. The resurrected King Jesus. And so Thomas shifted from doubt

  491. to trust, from hesitation to surrender from questions.

  492. To worship from I am not believing, I am doubting.

  493. I've got questions to Oh my Lord my God, what a change, what a

  494. ship, what a turn it on. Everything takes 1 moment, one

  495. encounter. Hallelujah.

  496. Hallelujah, I love that. And so, yeah, he's 3 labeled him

  497. doubting Thomas throughout the years, labeled and called him

  498. doubting Thomas. But the goodness of God saw

  499. something better. The goodness and the love and

  500. the grace of God saw a better future.

  501. Someone who carried the gospel forward.

  502. And he did. Of all the disciples, he carried

  503. the gospel all the way to India. Thank you.

  504. Yeah. Of all the what?

  505. A turn around from doubting to trusting to taking the gospel

  506. all the way to India with one encounter with the risen Savior

  507. Jesus. Not condemning, not pointing,

  508. but giving him grace. Oh, I love that trusting Thomas.

  509. And you know, that's let's why don't we just call him, you

  510. know, instead of doubting Thomas, why don't we just call

  511. him trusting Thomas? Yeah.

  512. I mean, I mean, why don't we just call him?

  513. Do you think it if we just call him instead of we calling him

  514. doubting, let's call him trusting Thomas, forgiven

  515. Thomas, restore Thomas, and we put and we call him the way that

  516. grace and God's goodness sees him.

  517. Yeah. Because he had a personal

  518. counter. He had a God moment.

  519. I love that. A God moment.

  520. And this is what happens when Jesus makes himself real to you.

  521. We shift from doubting to trusting when we encountered the

  522. real Jesus. Everything shifts in our lives

  523. and we become full, full of trust.

  524. And that is how a God moment works.

  525. Now let me let me just show you another God moment because we

  526. see this God moment as well on the cross when Jesus Christ and

  527. Jesus said my God, my God. And I love the way that heaven

  528. responded. The Bible says that the curtain

  529. in the temple, the veil was torn in two and it says from top to

  530. bottom. I love that because it was told

  531. from top to bottom, not, not bottom top, not people reaching

  532. or trying harder or performing for God, not not religion

  533. reaching up to God, but from top to bottom, meaning that God did

  534. it. Yeah, where people, OK, could

  535. never fix, God fixed it. Come on, somebody religion could

  536. never solve, but God solved me. Yeah, Sin could never send more

  537. separation. But grace opened the way for us.

  538. And so that's all that vile that was torn open doesn't mean for

  539. God to come out-of-the-box. It means for us to go in.

  540. So we can now come boldly. We can now come personally and

  541. freely. We can come to power freely.

  542. We don't have to earn it. We.

  543. Don't have to try and perform and get everything perfect.

  544. We can come to God every day in the kitchen, in the living room,

  545. in the car, wherever we are. Every moment He's hoping Jesus

  546. made the way he's open. Somebody come on.

  547. Hallelujah. Yeah.

  548. And you know, Mark 15, when you read there, there's some of the

  549. people standing there at the distance from the cross, But

  550. they said, well, Jesus was calling for Elijah, but they

  551. added the backwards that he wasn't calling for Elijah.

  552. The Bible says he cried Eloy. Now Eloy, it means not Elijah

  553. because they were standing from a distance, they misheard what

  554. he said. He would say Eloy meaning my

  555. God, that's what Jesus cried out.

  556. And they thought that it's Elijah's not Elijah now, because

  557. when you look at Elijah's story, you'll actually see that Elijah

  558. was pointing to something great. Elijah's story when we're going

  559. to go down and it's actually points us to something great to

  560. Christ because Elijah's story if you actually go the first

  561. resurrection in the Bible was the first king 17 first

  562. resurrection. So if we look at that, OK, but I

  563. want to say this because Jesus was crying out my God, my God,

  564. not Elijah was not the answer. Elijah pointed to Christ now he

  565. says the first in first king 17 remember when when Elijah stood

  566. over at the dead boy, he stretched himself over the dead

  567. boy in first king and now I want you to see this because over and

  568. over throughout the Bible principle of we every time I

  569. love it, we see how my God, there's a my God moment, how

  570. people cry out my God, my Lord Thomas, my Lord, my now yet his

  571. first king. He straights himself out on the

  572. boy three times. Cry out the Lord, my God, let

  573. this boy's life return to him. So that was a powerful miracle.

  574. And it was a. Powerful picture of how that was

  575. pointing to something greater to Christ.

  576. And then so Elijah stretched himself over a dead point, but

  577. Jesus stretched himself for the whole world.

  578. Hallelujah. Come on.

  579. Yeah, that's what it is. And so Elijah saw life come back

  580. to one boy. But Jesus that rose from the

  581. grave, whoever believes in him receives life.

  582. OK. And so that's the beauty of a

  583. scripture, because the Old Testament is full of shadows and

  584. patterns that points us to Christ, to something writer to

  585. the New Testament, Amen, points us to Jesus.

  586. And the good news is, the same God who heard then is the same

  587. God who he is now. He's the same God who years the

  588. heart of your cry in your situation.

  589. And is the still the same God who brings life in dead places,

  590. who brings life in dead marriages, in dead finances, in

  591. dead relationships. He still brings life.

  592. In. Whatever situation that the dead

  593. bone, it becomes alive in the presence of God.

  594. He still brings life, He still restores, He still heals.

  595. Jesus still saves today. Hallelujah.

  596. It all leads to Jesus. Can you say, I mean somebody?

  597. And so sometimes the challenge is this is that Friday did not

  598. look very good. The cross did not look like a

  599. victory, OK? The cross blood, it looked like

  600. the end. It looked like lost, that it was

  601. silence, evils winning, OK? It looked really hard and they

  602. like lost. And so Friday looked like the

  603. end. But what looked like the end was

  604. not the end, OK? Heaven was still moving the.

  605. Victory was still happening, Jesus was still coming for, and

  606. that is what Easter teaches us. Even though Friday was hard and

  607. difficult, but Sunday is Easter. Sunday is the good news.

  608. That's the full story. So.

  609. We cannot just stop on the Friday.

  610. We have to look at the full picture.

  611. We have to come to get on a Easter Sunday and celebrate that

  612. there is more to than just the Friday.

  613. This Sunday's coming. Guess.

  614. It's Friday's hard, difficult disappointment, but Sunday's

  615. coming. Yeah, Yeah.

  616. And So what it teaches us, don't make a final decision in the

  617. middle of the story, but look at the full picture.

  618. Look at what's what's happened on this Sunday, OK?

  619. Because a lot of people, they stopped on Friday.

  620. They stopped on the disappointment, the pain, the

  621. hardship, and they thought that it's over.

  622. It's like picking up somebody picking up a newspaper and they

  623. just read part of the headline because the the page is folded,

  624. but you can only read half of the headline.

  625. Football team loses. Oh, and the heart sink.

  626. Football team loses. And it's like you feel like, oh,

  627. no, it's over. It's the end.

  628. But that's only half the story. That's only the the moment you

  629. unfold the newspaper and you can read the full story.

  630. Football team loses half time, but then wins the championships

  631. in extra time. That's Sunday morning.

  632. That's Resurrection Sunday, Easter Sunday.

  633. That's the full. So the problem was not the

  634. story. The problem was that we didn't

  635. see the full picture. So he doesn't just stop on the

  636. Friday and listen, we've got to celebrate the Sunday of the

  637. resurrection of Jesus Christ, that he's alive, that he believe

  638. that he's alive. OK, now Sunday shows us the full

  639. picture and the full picture is Friday.

  640. Jesus was not defeated. The full picture is sin was

  641. defeated, hell in the grave was defeated, darkness was defeated,

  642. shame and fear was defeated, the grave was defeated and said the

  643. enemy was defeated. I love that song.

  644. The enemy has been defeated. Dave couldn't hold you down.

  645. We kind of lift our poison victory make our praises loud so

  646. the enemy has been defeated and I want to show you something

  647. here in Colossians chapter 215 having this on principalities

  648. and powers. He made a public spectacle of

  649. them triumphing over them and and So what looked like it was

  650. dangerous has been defeated. It's like walking down a path in

  651. the woods and there's a snake stretched out.

  652. And so you, like, jump back and think this is a fridge.

  653. And you're like, oh, what's this doing?

  654. And it looks dangerous and all until you realize the snake's

  655. dead. OK Now.

  656. Yeah. You chop and you fix it.

  657. But you look at you realize it's dead.

  658. Now, it may look dangerous. The snake may look intimidating,

  659. Right? And it may look that it can stop

  660. you. But the head has already been

  661. crushed. Yeah.

  662. That's what Easter did. To fear, to shame, to regret.

  663. OK, to hell in the grave. And so yeah, they may make a

  664. noise, they may try to scare you, but Jesus has already

  665. crushed their power. So don't let the dead snake stop

  666. your purpose. Don't.

  667. Let the dead snake intimidate and stop your destiny.

  668. OK? Because sickness does not have

  669. the final word. Set back does not have the final

  670. word. Failures does not have the

  671. mistakes don't have the final word.

  672. They don't have the final word. Come on, somebody.

  673. Sunday morning proved it. Sunday morning proved that God

  674. has got the final word. Oh my goodness.

  675. Friday was bad, but suddenly came and Jesus rose up and it

  676. defeated every devil and every demon, every hall in the grave.

  677. OK, so that disappoint doesn't have the final say.

  678. God has because the Saviour got up, and because he because he

  679. got up, you can get up. The resurrected King is

  680. resurrecting you because he got up.

  681. You can get up in. Your marriage, in your home, in

  682. your work. Because he got up.

  683. You can get up, Hallelujah. You can get up and you can live

  684. again. You can get up and you can

  685. believe again. You can get up and you can dream

  686. again. You can get up, Hallelujah,

  687. somebody say because he got up, I can get up.

  688. The resurrected king is resurrecting me.

  689. Hallelujah. Romans 8 verse 11 says the same

    Romans 8:11

  690. Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lived in you.

  691. Think about that. The same power, all that

  692. conquered the grave, the same power that rolled the stone

  693. away, the same power that defeated the enemy.

  694. That same power lives in you. It lives in you.

  695. That same power that got him out of that tray, that got him out

  696. of that tomb and lives in you. You are full of resurrection

  697. power. That voltage, that electricity,

  698. that same power, if it now has thousand voltages or a million

  699. voltages that the Holy Spirit used to resurrect Jesus Christ,

  700. that same voltage, power, electricity, He's on the inside

  701. of you. Resurrection power is living in

  702. you. You are not weak.

  703. Somebody, come on. You are not weak.

  704. You are not helpless. You are not at a disadvantage.

  705. You are not a victim. You are full of the power of

  706. God. Hey, I clear the resurrection

  707. power in this place. I feel the glory of God in this

  708. place. Hallelujah.

  709. Somebody shot resurrection power.

  710. If death could not hold him, that problem cannot hold you.

  711. If the great could not keep him, that obstacle cannot keep you.

  712. Come on, somebody. Come on.

  713. Somebody. That enemy.

  714. If the enemy could not hold him back, no depression can hold you

  715. back. No devil in hell can hold you

  716. back. He couldn't hold it back.

  717. He cannot hold you back. Darkness, that same darkness

  718. could not hold him back. So whatever's coming against you

  719. cannot stop your destiny. It cannot stop your calling.

  720. It cannot stop your family. It cannot stop your life.

  721. Oh, Hallelujah. I feel the resurrection power in

  722. this place. Hallelujah.

  723. Yes. It could not hold it back.

  724. It will not hold you back. I see somebody's coming loose.

  725. Somebody's turning free. Chains are falling off.

  726. God is resurrecting His body, which is His church.

  727. The church is the body of Jesus Christ.

  728. Just like Jesus came out of that grave, the church is coming.

  729. Out. Whoa, the church is coming out.

  730. It's time for the church to come out of the closet.

  731. Not skeletons come out of the closet.

  732. Christ, come out of the closet. My car.

  733. It's time for the church to rise and shine.

  734. For your glory have come the. Glory of God is in this place.

  735. Your life will never be the same again because the Bible says,

  736. oh, Dave, where is your sting? Yeah, and a honeybee can stink.

  737. Yeah, a honeybee can stink. But once it leaves its Stinger

  738. once it cannot use it again. Oh my God, somebody's getting

  739. this. Once the honey bees.

  740. Left his feet. Cannot use it again.

  741. Yeah, cannot. That's a picture of Calvary.

  742. Death made his move from Calvary.

  743. Death came to the cross on Calvary.

  744. But Jesus on the third day rose and he took this thing out.

  745. Hey, he cancelled that. He took this thing out of death.

  746. Oh Dave, where is your stick? Where is your victory?

  747. Because Jesus loves the Saviour of the world, President, Saviour

  748. Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.

  749. Because he got up. You can get up, you can get up.

  750. Hallelujah, somebody. So in closing, let's wrap this

  751. up and bring this full circle. This is your international.

  752. Everything shines with a personal my God moment, a my God

  753. moment, Saying this is the thing of Thomas.

  754. Thomas didn't stay just what he heard about Jesus.

  755. He said it when there's disciples coming, said listen,

  756. Jesus is listening. I want my own encounter.

  757. Oh, somebody's getting this. I want money.

  758. I don't just want to go by what I heard.

  759. Yes, your disciples you saw, but I haven't seen you.

  760. I haven't had my encounter. I was not there.

  761. So Thomas did not stay. I just heard about Jesus.

  762. He's like, I want my own personal my God moment.

  763. That's what I want. And the moment he had that

  764. encounter, everything changed. Everything shifted and he

  765. answered my Lord, my God. Now he didn't say he is Lord.

  766. He didn't just say he is Lord. He said, my Lord, he didn't just

  767. say, oh, he is the God because there's a lot of the city.

  768. Oh yeah, he's God. He's God.

  769. No, but he's, he made it personal.

  770. He's my God. This.

  771. Is the moment everything changed Judge where Easter becomes

  772. personal? Where?

  773. It becomes personal a 101 a personal a my God encounter, my

  774. Lord my God, everything changes. And when Jesus is no longer just

  775. the God that you heard about. 'Cause I grew up and I heard a

  776. lot about God for many years, but it's how I counted him for

  777. myself. My Lord, my God, a personal no

  778. longer just heard about Jesus heard that he's but now I've

  779. encountered he met him for himself.

  780. He had that encounter where Jesus made himself real.

  781. And that's the good news today that I believe that today is the

  782. day. This can be the moment your my

  783. God moment that encounter moments, that turning point that

  784. can turn everything around and it's a fresh start.

  785. Everything changes. I really believe that God has

  786. sent me it to release this virtue, that this can be your my

  787. God moment. Let's all start together.

  788. Hallelujah. Praise God.

  789. I believe that you are not just here by accident.

  790. This is not just Easter on calendar.

  791. This is a moment with God. This is a holy moment.

  792. And the same Jesus who encountered Thomas is here, the

  793. same Jesus who called Peter, who calls him by his name, who

  794. restored him, who forgave him. The same Jesus is calling you

  795. right now. The same Jesus.

  796. Who? Just came through those shut

  797. doors. He knows exactly how to walk

  798. into a broken heart, a broken relationship, into your

  799. marriage, into your family. He knows exactly how to come

  800. into a where we live. So right now, just bow your head

  801. right now where you are. If you want a personal my God

  802. moment right now, if that is you, I want to give you an

  803. opportunity right now. And maybe you've never received

  804. Jesus into your heart. I just want to give you that

  805. opportunity. Maybe you have given your life

  806. to Jesus a while ago, years ago, and you've drifted.

  807. Right now. If you want to give your life to

  808. Jesus and you feel deep in your heart, yes, you want this

  809. moment. You want the personal real

  810. encounter with the Lord and you know, maybe things are not

  811. rights between you and God and you want to just come right in.

  812. Maybe that you're carrying guilt.

  813. Or. Fear or shame or addiction,

  814. Maybe there's pain or disappointment, heart failure,

  815. relationship breakdown. Today is the day.

  816. This can be your moment where everything shifts.

  817. Everything changes in this moment, so don't let this moment

  818. pass you by. God brought you here on purpose

  819. this morning. Jesus died for you, He rose for

  820. you, and he's calling you right now.

  821. So if you are saying, yes, pastor, that is me, I want to

  822. receive Jesus. I need to give my life to Jesus.

  823. I need to come back to God. I need forgiveness.

  824. I need a fresh start. If you say that's it, because

  825. God is saying trust me, he's saying trust me, let me be your

  826. Lord, let me be your God. Just come to me.

  827. You are not too late. You're not too far gone.

  828. You've not made too many mistakes, Just come as you are.

  829. And so if that is you and you say, yes, I want this
