  1. So today is part three of our final message and our series of

  2. resurrection line. Amen.

  3. Somebody said Jesus is alive. Yeah.

  4. How many of you have enjoyed this series?

  5. Praise God, you've. I mean, you've been here, 3/4 of

  6. you. OK, those of you that's not been

  7. here, I want to encourage you to listen again to those messages

  8. last week. OK?

  9. If you were not here, you must. Don't worry.

  10. Relax. All good today.

  11. This is your day, OK? This is your day.

  12. We the last one. This is the one.

  13. OK, So we left the last one the the last the hot one.

  14. This is the hot one. We left the last message of the

  15. series, the hot 1. So this one is going to be hot.

  16. Is that OK? OK, It's OK because I enjoy some

  17. Tabasco sauce and, you know, like, but it feels like you bite

  18. into a chili pepper. Is it, is it OK?

  19. Can somebody, I know some hot stuff in here today.

  20. Is it OK if we go hot and we spice it up with some chili with

  21. the flame, the fire of God? OK, Tell your neighbor this is

  22. going to be hot. OK.

  23. This is going to be hot. Yeah.

  24. This, this is going to be hot. This last one.

  25. OK. So I'm just excited about this

  26. one. OK, so we're going to spice it

  27. up some hot flank rolls, spicy. I really believe this world's

  28. going to release a fire of God in this house.

  29. Now I'm just giving you a little heads up to some disclaimer

  30. before we go. This is going to be hot.

  31. OK, before we get in before we OK, I know you came hungry, but

  32. you know, it's OK. You're going to handle some hot

  33. stuff. OK, OK, it's going to get hot in

  34. this place. Get ready for this is a hot 1

  35. because I really believe God's going to do something very

  36. powerful because God gave me this basis and he said the title

  37. of this Mace is burning heart. OK, burning hearts.

  38. Yeah. Oh my goodness.

  39. OK, burning hearts. So let me put that up and now

  40. before we go any further, just thank you worship team.

  41. Wow. Can we give the worship team a

  42. heads up? Oh, wow, wow.

  43. What an amazing club. These songs, I mean, they were

  44. so in line with this message. I'm like, my goodness, these

  45. lyrics, I can't help but burn. And this is already an connect

  46. group on Tuesday already. And, and God's has been speaking

  47. to me and I'm like, wow, Lord, burning hearts straight from

  48. Scripture, Luke 24. Wow.

  49. And it's just amazing how God just connects it all together.

  50. And so wow, this is exactly where we're going today.

  51. Burning hearts. Somebody say burning hearts.

  52. Burning hearts. Amen.

  53. And so, yeah, I mean, you see, The thing is, God's plan for his

  54. people is not to be ice cubes in a fridge, just this, or I've

  55. just survived and just get by and just barely making it that

  56. God's plan for his people is to be hot, boiling on fire, full of

  57. the fire of the Holy Ghost, full of our desire.

  58. Who likes lukewarm tea? You like lukewarm tea?

  59. Oh, I like hot coffee. Spicy hots on fire, boiling hot

  60. on fire. That's what God wants for his

  61. people. You see, The thing is,

  62. lukewarmness went out with the 80s already.

  63. We are already in 2026, so get with the time.

  64. The times is no more lukewarmness.

  65. That's way out being in the middle.

  66. Oh, settle. We just tried to blend in and be

  67. like everybody else. No, we are, we are on fire.

  68. And I am not going to make excuses if I offend somebody

  69. because I'm on fire burning for Jesus.

  70. OK, so it's OK to be radical because that's what he wants.

  71. That's what Jesus wants. He wants us to be hot, boiling

  72. on fire, absolutely in love with you.

  73. That's the first commandment in our entire Bible.

  74. Love Jesus, all of your heart, all of your mind with everything

  75. you've got and fire for Jesus and fire for Jesus.

  76. That's the plan of God, full of the Holy Ghost.

  77. So it's time to burn for God. I love that song obsession.

  78. It's OK if we obsessed with Jesus, that's fine because he's

  79. our number one. He's our everything obsession.

  80. My heart hurts. We are not called to be ice

  81. cubes, OK? We are not going to be in the

  82. region call. We're going to be on fire.

  83. On fire only goes fire. There's fresh fire in this place

  84. today. So this is a word.

  85. This word is a hot 1. I really believe it's going to

  86. release hot fire. So Are you ready to burn for

  87. him? Hallelujah.

  88. Praise God, I've come to the right place because Jesus is

  89. still looking for people, not perfect people.

  90. He's looking for hungry people who comes with hunger, who comes

  91. and says, yes, Lord, I want to burn for you.

  92. Yes, Lord, like William Booth, Salvation Army, set the fire,

  93. send the fire. That's what William Booth is not

  94. Send the fire. So Lord burn set me ablaze on

  95. fire. Let me be passionately on fire

  96. for you. And I really believe this is a

  97. timely word because God is rising up a standard.

  98. He's pouring out fresh fire on his people.

  99. He's rising up a standard against because the world is

  100. pressure. There's difficulties and

  101. challenges full of pressure and challenges and deadlines and

  102. uncertainties. And so the days we're living in,

  103. it's easy for the pressure that presses people down and it's

  104. easy to leave you with a heart that is heavy difficulties and

  105. challenges and the stress and whatever we're facing.

  106. And so maybe you've come in and you've had a rough week and you

  107. feel tired and difficult and you're carrying something heavy.

  108. Listen, here's the good news. I've got some good news.

  109. You're in for some good news. If you came in difficult with

  110. carrying something, you do not have to live the same way you

  111. came in. Listen, this is what I thought.

  112. You do not have to live the same way you came in because there's

  113. fresh grace in this place. There's fresh strength in this

  114. place. There's fresh fire in this

  115. place. Oh, come on, somebody, are you

  116. getting this? Are you ready for this?

  117. Hallelujah. Glory be to God.

  118. There's fresh fire in this place.

  119. So get ready, open your heart. Why?

  120. Because God is about to pour out fresh fire.

  121. Hallelujah. And so for the next few moments,

  122. I'm going to show you something very powerful, some truth keys

  123. from the very word of God, straight from Scripture.

  124. We're going to go on a journey. Are you OK to go?

  125. Go with me on a journey. So we're going to go on this

  126. journey, Luke 24. We're going to walk with these

  127. disciples on the road to Emmaus and this amazing chapter,

  128. please, where this week spend time in their ways loaded with

  129. revelation. I'm like, oh God, I'm going to

  130. share all this in an hour or not even.

  131. Like I'm going to get through all of this because there's an

  132. amazing journey on Luke 24. So powerful, the resurrected

  133. king. It's so powerful.

  134. Please read it. This week.

  135. I'm going to show you some keys how to shift and move from a

  136. heavy heart to a burning heart from a heavy heart to a burning

  137. heart. So she Are you ready for this

  138. one because Luke 24 the road to Moses, these two disciples of

  139. Jesus. It shows us something very

  140. powerful. Remember Jesus the risen Lord on

  141. resurrection day, the risen Lord.

  142. That's when he joined OK these this and it shows us how Jesus

  143. met them and he's so clear the Bible appreciate they were very

  144. discouraged and he made them in the discouragement and I just

  145. love the fact how Jesus shifted from heavy heart to burning

  146. hearts. Oh my God.

  147. And so flow with me today because I really believe

  148. something powerful is here for us today.

  149. So we've come hungry. Hallelujah.

  150. And so let's read that we're going to do, we're going to go

  151. straight into Luke 24. It is absolutely amazing.

  152. I've just spent some time here and it's just amazing what the

  153. Lord has been showing to us. So I'm going to let me put it up

  154. here for us in this NIV. This one is the other version

  155. and I'll go to that one. So it says Luke 24 verse 52.

    Luke 24:52

  156. So let's read there. It says they ask each other,

  157. yes, he's through the disciples of Jesus.

  158. We're not our hearts burning. Somebody say burning hearts,

  159. right? So our hearts burning within us

  160. while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures

  161. to us. Father, I thank you for your

  162. goodness in this house. Lord Holy Spirit, we welcome you

  163. to come lift burdens, open eyes, set every heart ablaze.

  164. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray.

  165. Amen. Right.

  166. So this amazing chapter in the Bible, yeah, verse 2024, it

  167. tells of the story of these two disciples and they are on the

  168. road to Emmaus. Now this is long.

  169. It's miles. It's not a 5 minute walk.

  170. This is a long road to Emmaus. Now watch this.

  171. He Emmaus. This is so powerful.

  172. When God showed this to me, I was shocked.

  173. I'm like, Oh my God, Lord, this is so powerful in the Hebrew.

  174. Now you've got to go deeper because we're going to go

  175. deeper. This is how we do research and

  176. study the word of God in the original Hebrew.

  177. This word mean that Emmaus, the meaning of Emmaus.

  178. I'm going to show you something very powerful here because if

  179. you go back to the Hebrew word, the root word from Emmaus, it

  180. means burning place. Hello, somebody.

  181. Are you getting excited? And I just love it because I've

  182. looked at different scholars at different, different

  183. dictionaries and it's amazing how this, this village, this in

  184. Mayes is closely associated with warmth, with Hot Springs.

  185. Micah, I love that picture because here's a place and

  186. they're on the road and they journey onto this road where

  187. these discouraged parts, it becomes a place of burning in

  188. the presence of Jesus. I love the word of God.

  189. I love the meanings and what God is showing us here.

  190. Are you getting this somebody? So these two disciples, they are

  191. walking with the Bible. They were sad and gloomy.

  192. They were discouraged and they were talking amongst each other

  193. about what has happened. They were not walking in

  194. celebration. They were walking in sorrow

  195. because listen, Jesus has just been crucified.

  196. They lead at who they followed and believed in his God.

  197. So yeah, they are on the Sunday. Friday Jesus was crucified.

  198. He's now gone. They're all sad, they're all

  199. gloomy. They feel very discouraged.

  200. And they are talking amongst themselves about the heartbreak,

  201. about what had happened, trying to make sense of what has

  202. happened because that was not what they expected.

  203. This is the leader, Jesus. They thought he's going to

  204. restore everything and now he's been Crucible.

  205. He's been taken out of the way and there they are on this road

  206. and it's not an easy Rd. Their hearts were heavy and they

  207. talking about these things. They turn their confusion about

  208. the loss. And while they were walking and

  209. talking amongst themselves about the problems about all of a

  210. sudden Jesus joins the resurrected Lord.

  211. Jesus walks and join in that walk and he comes right there

  212. with them. And now the picture of this

  213. story is Jesus made them on the Heavy Rd.

  214. I love that how Jesus in his resurrectors met them on the

  215. heavy the heart He was with them in the disappointment, he was

  216. with them in the difficulty. And you know, this is amazing

  217. because sometimes the miracle is not that the road or the journey

  218. changes immediately. Sometimes the miracle is

  219. covering that he's worth you, that he's worth us in the

  220. journey. He's worth us in the challenge,

  221. in the difficulty that that is that we understand and discover

  222. his presence, that he's with you in the challenge.

  223. He is with you. Somebody say he's with you.

  224. So Italian neighbors say he's with you.

  225. He's with you. I mean, that's what I love about

  226. this message. On Resurrection Day, He

  227. conquered the bride. He defeated that.

  228. He rose up on victory. And what did he do on

  229. Resurrection Sunday? He chose to walk.

  230. He took a walk. My God, we can relate to that,

  231. right, man? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  232. Come on. I love that.

  233. On Resurrection Day, this is resurrected.

  234. I've become in victory. He took a walk.

  235. That's how he's not he's not panic, he's not stressed, he's

  236. not faking. Oh, I'm behind schedule.

  237. I've got to do so many things. He's like I that's what he he

  238. took a walk. I love that church Rose from the

  239. guy took a walk. He just took a walk.

  240. And so it just helps me that Jesus is not just the God of the

  241. mountain top, but he's the God of the road.

  242. He's a God with us on the journey, on the journey, walking

  243. with us. Now when I was younger, I must

  244. admit I didn't like walking. I honestly, I, it was just too

  245. slow for me And I'm like, I want to get there fast.

  246. I think it's because I used to be a lot of athletics, sports

  247. training, running. One essay is number 1.

  248. And I did a lot of training. I was after school.

  249. I was basically professional go fall into just running, running,

  250. running. So everywhere I was just

  251. running. And so walking for me is very

  252. slow. It wasn't very clear.

  253. So I never really loved. But what's amazing is over time,

  254. over the years, it's tight. I have not actually I really

  255. enjoy walking. I love I've learned to full love

  256. of especially my morning walks first thing like this morning,

  257. absolutely beautiful. I'm just out there walking in

  258. nature in forest. I go for a walk, see nature, see

  259. the deer, pray. This is one of my most amazing

  260. times with the Lord where I'm just the prey walk where I just

  261. go for a like a walk in the stroll or you go take the dog

  262. for a walk and it's amazing because that walks.

  263. It's like the Lord has taught me to slow down where I would have

  264. easily like Mystics. I would not have noticed that if

  265. I would have stayed in the rush, rushing busy staying there.

  266. It's like the Lord showed me, listen, well, slow down.

  267. You are, you are so fast, you're running.

  268. Yes, you won s s, you're the number one in South Africa, the

  269. fastest runner. But listen, I'm going to turn

  270. that running and that sprinting from South Africa, I'm going to

  271. turn you into slowing down and take notice because in these

  272. walks early in the morning when I woke up first thing before I

  273. said I just go for a walk and I meet with the Lord.

  274. The most sweetest most encounters I've had with the

  275. Lord where he's revealed himself to me is with walking.

  276. Yeah, come on. Many of you can relate to that.

  277. Mikey, you as well used to be put that on the connect group

  278. and he was walking and then you and nature and all of that and

  279. awesome shall share about that walking with the Lord and that's

  280. why this story is just it just touches me so deeply because on

  281. resurrection day, yes, Jesus in his resurrected form.

  282. OK, so he can literally with a resurrected body.

  283. So there he is in that resurrection.

  284. He could have done anything he could have done anywhere go

  285. anywhere, but he chose to go for a walk.

  286. Oh my word, Hallelujah, somebody.

  287. Now he chose to walk and he in a treasure on that day.

  288. He could have done a million other things, but he's like, I

  289. chose to walk and I'm going to walk with two discovered

  290. disciples. 2 of the disciples who felt sad and gloomy.

  291. I'm going to go for a walk. And so sometimes we think, you

  292. know, that Jesus, we only show up when our faith is so strong

  293. and we've got everything together, our attitude is right

  294. and everything is perfect and Jesus will show up.

  295. But this passage, it shows us something different.

  296. It shows us that he meant them on the road of difficulty of

  297. challenge, OK, of a road of disappointment.

  298. They were sad and confused. And this so that means you do

  299. not always have to have it all together and be all perfect and

  300. be all strong for Jesus to show, show up and for Jesus to come

  301. near and for Jesus to come close.

  302. Come on, somebody. Are you getting this word today?

  303. Yeah. So maybe you're here today and

  304. you've been in a season that it's it was a season heavier

  305. than expected. Okay, maybe it was a financial

  306. setback or maybe a relationship that didn't work out and the

  307. pressure was intense. It's been intense and maybe the

  308. door closed and you here today and you just feel maybe you're

  309. tired. Listen, the good news is Jesus

  310. that never avoided disappointed people.

  311. In fact, he made them. He joins them on the road on

  312. that long, heavy, tired Rd. He joins them.

  313. And so he didn't just stand at a distance far off and shouted

  314. instructions to them. No, he's the one that comes

  315. close. He's the one that comes right

  316. near. He can.

  317. That is our God. He steps into our story, into

  318. our lives, into our business. He steps right into our

  319. journeys. OK, so he's not far off.

  320. He's Emmanuel at Emmaus. OK, Emmanuel, come on, somebody

  321. say Emmanuel, come on. Say Goddess, we're fast.

  322. Hallelujah. Come on, say that again.

  323. Emmanuel, come on, shot. Goddess, we're fast.

  324. And so the scripture says in Luke 24, watch this man.

  325. This is amazing. It says as they talked and

  326. discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and

  327. somebody say walk. Yeah, about that.

  328. On the resurrection day, on the resurrection Sunday, he goes for

  329. a walk. I love that.

  330. And he joins them. So I'm here to tell you, you're

  331. not walking alone. Whatever journey, wherever you

  332. are, you are not walking alone. He's walking with you.

  333. Jesus is walking with you. In the mornings.

  334. It's one of the most exciting things.

  335. When I get up out of bed, I'm going to walk with Jesus.

  336. I'm going to go for a walk and I'm going to walk with the Lord.

  337. That is, I say you don't walk alone, He's walking with you.

  338. Come on, say it with me. Say Jesus is with me, start

  339. again. Jesus is with me, Hallelujah.

  340. So you might not always understand how everything is

  341. going to work out yet, and maybe you have been carrying something

  342. heavy, but heavy hearts don't have to stay heavy because Jesus

  343. knows how to turn a heavy heart into a burning heart.

  344. Come on, somebody say it. Hallelujah.

  345. Probably beat your car. Now here's the challenge,

  346. because I was reading this story and I'm like, OK, Lord, what are

  347. you saying? And so here's the challenge In

  348. this story. Jesus was right with them, but

  349. they did not recognize. Yeah, yeah, that's right.

  350. So he's right there, but they did not realize because they are

  351. so focused on what's wrong, what happened, They're so discouraged

  352. and sorrowful and doubtful that they've missed the miracle,

  353. right? So caught up in the

  354. disappointment and the difficult and the harsh and all of the

  355. discouragement. Oh, he's gone, Jesus crucified,

  356. He's gone. He's right.

  357. And they missed the miracle in that moment right there.

  358. They did not recognize him. And so Jesus was there.

  359. That reminds me of that old story that the man in this flood

  360. came and he was caught up in this flood.

  361. And so the water started rising up.

  362. And so he decided, OK, he's going to climb up on the roof of

  363. his house. And so there he was standing and

  364. he's praying. He's like, oh, God save me.

  365. And the water escaped on rising and rising and this flooding and

  366. flooding. And he said, Oh God, I pray save

  367. me. And so here comes the boat.

  368. And so the people on the boat say we're here to help, come

  369. jump in. And so this man say no thanks.

  370. I'm trusting God, God will save me.

  371. God is the one that will rescue me.

  372. And so moments later, just a while later, here comes a

  373. helicopter. And so this and they're like,

  374. listen, we are lowering the rope.

  375. Just grab hold of the rope and we'll pull you up.

  376. And he said, oh, no thanks. I am trusting in God.

  377. God will rescue me. God will save me.

  378. And so the floods came any drought.

  379. So when he got to heaven, he asked God, he's like, God, I

  380. trusted you. I believe that you're going to

  381. say to me, why did you not rescue?

  382. What? And God said what I've sent

  383. about. I have sent in a helicopter.

  384. What were you waiting for? So that's a lesson for us

  385. because sometimes God will send hell and the hell that he says

  386. shows up different than what we were expecting.

  387. He shows up in a different way, in a different way, in a pocket

  388. hang up the different from the way that we were expecting.

  389. And sometimes the presence of God is right there, right in

  390. front of us. But it seems so ordinary.

  391. It seems so like every day there's a boat and helicopter.

  392. This is can't be God. This is just a boat.

  393. And it seems so ordinary that we miss it.

  394. It's easy to miss. Are you with me, somebody?

  395. I want you to grab hold of this word today because sometimes we

  396. think that it has got to be so dramatic.

  397. Spectacular fireworks, fire and lightning and Thunder from

  398. heaven. That is, that's God.

  399. And we think, oh, it's God only, you know, when he's a thunderous

  400. loud voice from heaven and he's like spectacular.

  401. Oh, and it's this big huge sign from heaven.

  402. And then if it's. But you see, here's the thing.

  403. God sometimes comes in the quiet.

  404. It comes in this small and simple, like a boat in a

  405. helicopter. He comes in this simple things,

  406. OK. And so he moves in different

  407. ways, in like everyday ways, and he comes and the Holy Spirit

  408. just gives you a nod. Oh, there's just that prompting.

  409. Or it's just something simple, like a Bible verse, just the

  410. script, just just one line. You're like, oh, you're on a

  411. connector. If you just read this verse and

  412. this verse pops up, something like that.

  413. And God, it's in it. But it seems so simple and

  414. ordinary. It's like just a verb.

  415. It's like sometimes it's just a conversation, having a chat with

  416. a friend and it's God grading you and before you know it, God

  417. is God. He gives you that peace and the

  418. pressure and he's, he's taking and he's saying things to you.

  419. Sometimes God is the closest when life feels ordinary.

  420. Oh, this is just very ordinary. I'm just going for a walk.

  421. I have been surprised at my walks many times, and not just

  422. by deer and animal and nature and all of that.

  423. It's like, wow, oh Lord, it's like the Lord's just in these

  424. ordinary walks. Just the walk.

  425. Jesus. When he joined that too, on

  426. their Rd. on their long road to Emmaus, He didn't arrive on the

  427. spotlight, His face all beaming and shining in the resurrected

  428. void. He didn't.

  429. He did not interrupt in a dramatic, spectacular way.

  430. Joy. He he just came as a fellow

  431. traveller walking along. And because it seems so

  432. ordinary, it seems so. They did not recognize they

  433. missed, missed the miracle because it seems so common and

  434. ordering. They missed the miracle beside

  435. them. How often do we see the same

  436. thing? We are so focused on the

  437. pressure at work, the set back in finances, the stress in the

  438. relationship, the problem we're trying to fix, so caught up with

  439. the difficulty that we fail to recognize what God is doing in

  440. our lives. We fail to recognize how God is

  441. sustaining us, keeping us sister, protecting us, how God

  442. is guiding us because we're so caught up and blessed with

  443. things that we fail. And are you with me, somebody?

  444. Because they were talking with Jesus and they didn't know it.

  445. They didn't realize it there. They're walking with Jesus.

  446. And sometimes for what you are praying for, the answer is

  447. walking right beside you. There's the resurrected thing of

  448. things, Lord of Lord, resurrected form miracles

  449. walking right beside them. Miracle is right there.

  450. Recognise it. Miracle is right there.

  451. It's so close. It's so near, right there, the

  452. prayer that I pray. And you can be so close to a

  453. miracle and miss it if you are too busy focusing on the

  454. problem. It's easy to miss what is right

  455. yes, so busy focusing on the problem, talking about the

  456. problem, what the problems so busy with them missing what God

  457. is doing. So don't get so focus on the

  458. problem. Don't get so focused on what is

  459. wrong that you fail to recognize what is right.

  460. You found what is God is doing OK because they are so

  461. discouraged that Jesus died on the cross, but the fearing Jesus

  462. is walking right next to them. My God, let's not get some focus

  463. on the problems that we miss out what God is doing all the

  464. problems in the world, but what about what God is doing in the

  465. church? What about the miracle science

  466. and wonders? What about the glory of God

  467. where people are getting heals inside and century, but we just

  468. turn on the news and see all the problems hang on.

  469. If we just keep on focusing on the problems, you might miss the

  470. miracle. Now God is still at work.

  471. God is still for you. God is still on your side.

  472. So even when life feels ordinary in common, heaven is close,

  473. Heaven is closer than you think. How is it that they're walking

  474. there? They did not know this, they

  475. didn't realize it. Jesus, he is closer than you

  476. think. Are you getting this?

  477. Somebody you know? There was an experiment years

  478. ago. They've done an experiment on

  479. this famous musician and this guy, this musician, he can play

  480. this violin, incredibly wolf famous.

  481. So they took this wolf famous musician and they put him in a

  482. subway with ordinary clams. Now that musician, that famous

  483. musician, he, he played that violin.

  484. That's worth millions. Now if people go to a concert

  485. hall, they pay a fortune for a ticket just to hear the music,

  486. just to experience the beauty of that music.

  487. They took that same famous musician to put him in the

  488. subway during rush hour. And the people walk past, too

  489. busy, too distracted, owing where they suppose they just

  490. walk past instead of noticing the world famous class music,

  491. that instead of paying millions, buy a ticket to go to the hall

  492. and listen to me. They could, but they pass by.

  493. They walk by because of her distractions and they failed to

  494. recognize and to realize this is a world famous musician.

  495. Let's enjoy this music. Yes, life is presentations on

  496. the road, but let's take a moment and enjoy the journey

  497. because they are on this road on Emmaus.

  498. Enjoy the journey. Yes, it may seem hard and

  499. difficult, but who's walking right next to them?

  500. I was in the subway playing that beautiful music, a very famous

  501. musician. We can enjoy the music.

  502. Or are we? Are we going to enjoy Jesus on

  503. our journey? The joy in the journey?

  504. And Betty was right there in front of them.

  505. And so sometimes the the extraordinary is hiding.

  506. And here's this camouflage because they are hidden and they

  507. are concealed in the ordinary city.

  508. Very easy to miss because it looks so common and we miss it.

  509. And that is what happened on the road to Emmaus.

  510. They were walking and they did not realize it recognized this

  511. is Jesus. They didn't Jesus right next to

  512. them in they met walking next to them.

  513. That is why this has got to become our prayer eyes.

  514. I love that shot. We started right off today.

  515. Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. What a powerful pray, God, open

  516. up my eyes to see your goodness, to see your faithfulness, to see

  517. you every day in my everyday job, my workplace, my family.

  518. When we go, open my eyes to see the goodness.

  519. I'm still alive. Then we're still here and we're

  520. still breathing. We have air now.

  521. And we thank you, Lord, for the good things, Lord, that there's

  522. still food on the table. Thank you for the roof of back.

  523. Thank you, Lord, the goodness. I'll open up my eyes to see the

  524. goodness. Oh Lord, please, I don't want to

  525. focus on the wrong and the problems.

  526. I want to see the right thing. I want to see what is good.

  527. Now this is remember Jacob, this is shocking.

  528. It says here in Genesis 28, verse 16, it says then Jacob

    Genesis 28:16

  529. woke up from his lip and said, surely the Lord, he's in this

  530. place and I didn't know it. God is in this place.

  531. I didn't know it. God is here.

  532. I did not know that God is here. How many times in our lives that

  533. this is true, that God was in that situation.

  534. He was there all along and we didn't realize it.

  535. He was in that season, in that conversation.

  536. God was in that phone call, that conversation, right?

  537. God was in it. God is here.

  538. We didn't even, we didn't even recognize that was God, that

  539. open door, that opportunity. And so we are too focused on the

  540. finish line, on getting there, moving forward that we miss the

  541. moment. We like the finish line is there

  542. and we focus on that. And so we miss the joy in the

  543. journey. And it's like, you know, I will

  544. be happy one day when I live in that house.

  545. I will be happy one day when that problem is sorted.

  546. I'll be happy one day when I meet that person or when I'm

  547. connected there. One day I'll be happy when that

  548. problem is solved or that pressure is removed, and then

  549. I'll be happy. And so we keep on postponing,

  550. but later, how many of you later keeps on moving?

  551. Because when you get there's another challenge and there's

  552. another problem and another different and another reason to

  553. postpone joy. Oh, so now I've reached this

  554. goal and that's great, OK. But now is another one.

  555. OK, so we're postponing joy. But Jesus wants us to be happy

  556. and enjoy life every day, every day, even though on the road to

  557. Mayas Jesus walking with him. And he wants us to enjoy life.

  558. He wants us to enjoy the journey.

  559. And so if we're not careful, we can spend our whole life waiting

  560. for a future moment that we miss the beauty of this moment that

  561. we miss the beauty of the music. That music.

  562. Yeah, Jesus is walking with us. And so try a different approach.

  563. Instead of saying, oh, it's Monday, I've got to go to work,

  564. try this approach and say, Lord, I thank you that I have a job.

  565. I thank you that I have income. I thank you that I have strength

  566. and that I have an opportunity. Oh, oh, it's Monday, I've got to

  567. go do a job. No, Lord, I thank you, I have a

  568. job. Oh Lord, you know, I've got to

  569. clean the house again. I've got to do the dishes all

  570. these children. So what about try different

  571. approaches. Lord, I thank you that I have a

  572. place to live and not these kids are so busy.

  573. No, I thank you that I have children that I can look off you

  574. sometimes the kids hard work, but I have kids.

  575. I have thank the Lord for kids for children.

  576. Thank you Lord for I can clean. I have a roof over my my head.

  577. I have food on the table. I thank you, Lord, for those

  578. things that I have. That's that approach.

  579. And so it's not pretending that life is perfect, that

  580. everything's ignoring the pain, ignoring and denying the

  581. pressure. It's just choosing not to let

  582. the wrong blind you from what is right, not to let allow the

  583. problems of this world and the difficulties and the challenges

  584. blind you from the right and the good that is in this world, the

  585. good that is happening, OK. And so don't get so focused on

  586. what is wrong that you miss what is right, OK?

  587. In other words, what I'm trying to say to you is look for the

  588. good, Philippians. That's what Paul Apostle says.

  589. And think of all these good things, Pierre, holy, those

  590. things. So think of look for the good,

  591. look for the good. And a good thing is simple is

  592. that you are still here. I'm still here.

  593. It's by the grace of God that I'm still here.

  594. Yeah, I many times I've died, nearly died.

  595. I could have died. I drowned in, in, in a Mogga,

  596. nearly drowned in South Africa in a bicycle, massive accident.

  597. I flipped over the car, go outside many times.

  598. I could have died, but I'm still here.

  599. By the grace of God, you are still here.

  600. The enemy did not wipe you off. The enemy did not.

  601. The battle did not break you. The pressure did not finish you

  602. off. You are still here.

  603. By the grace of God, you are still here.

  604. You still have grief and air in your lungs.

  605. Roof over your head. Hallelujah.

  606. Somebody praise God. Yeah.

  607. It's the grace of God. Now.

  608. This is what I love about this text.

  609. It's amazing. Jesus now, and he says listen to

  610. it. He begins to explain the

  611. journey. It's so beautiful how he does

  612. it. Please, because of time, I'll

  613. just give you a snap. He explains the journey and he

  614. goes all the way. He takes it all the way from

  615. Moses and he pulls it all the way through the prophets and he

  616. brings it together and he's actually talking about himself.

  617. He explains the journey from the scriptures.

  618. And So what Jesus is doing, he's speaking, He's opening up the

  619. Scriptures about himself. Now remember, they're walking,

  620. they don't know it's Jesus. They don't recognize it.

  621. They don't know this is Jesus. And he's explaining the journey.

  622. Now I want you to see this. This is amazing.

  623. It says here Luke 24, verse 27, it says in the beginning with

    Luke 24:27

  624. Moses, all the prophets, He explained to them what was said

  625. in all the Scripture concerning himself.

  626. So he's listening to them, to their disappointment in the

  627. Proverbs, He's walking with them.

  628. And then Jesus, he began to speak.

  629. And so when Jesus began to speak, the word happened as are

  630. the scriptures. He opened the scriptures and he

  631. showed them the what looked like the end.

  632. The Friday the Christian was not dead.

  633. The Friday the Christian, that looked like the end.

  634. That was the road to victory. Yes.

  635. So he's explaining this in Scripture to them because

  636. remember that morning they sorrow about what happened on

  637. the Friday and he's explaining to them that was actually the

  638. victory. And he's making this clear that

  639. what felt like defeat was actually the victory.

  640. And that's exactly what we need. We don't just always need a

  641. change situation or change circumstances, an instant fix or

  642. an instant answer to pray. What we need first is fresh

  643. fight. Fresh fight brings perspective

  644. through the word of God. And I want you to grab all of

  645. this because this is what Jesus doing.

  646. I want you to say because he's stirring the fire.

  647. He's stirring fight, so he's sharing the scriptures.

  648. And when the scriptures becomes alive, what's happening is all

  649. of a sudden they are getting a new perspective on really what's

  650. going on. Because remember, they are now

  651. thinking they lost their master, they lost their leader, He's

  652. gone. But now Jesus, that actually

  653. leader comes and he opens that up to them and he explains this

  654. to them. Yeah, in the Scripture, and it

  655. opens them because what happens when the Word of God opens, it

  656. strengthens your faith. When the Word comes, When the

  657. Word opens, faith rises. And this is what Jesus is doing.

  658. And this is very, very powerful when He opens the Word, because

  659. that is why you have got to stay close to the Word.

  660. You're hearing what I'm saying, Judge.

  661. You've got to stay close to the Word in every season because the

  662. Word will anchor you. The Word will steady you.

  663. The Word will remind you that He is with you.

  664. That's what the Word of God will do.

  665. He will remind you that God is in control, God is for you, and

  666. God is walking with you. That's what the Word of God.

  667. And so, yes, Jesus, the resurrected King, and he's

  668. opening up the Word that brings strength, that brings faith, OK,

  669. that brings the fire. And that's what He's doing.

  670. So listen to it when your heart feels heavy.

  671. When your heart feels heavy, open the word.

  672. Yeah, that's right. Let him speak to you.

  673. When you feel down and difficult, you're going through

  674. a tough time. My heart feels heavy.

  675. Open the word and let him speak to you.

  676. Let him remind you that Friday was not a defeat, but that was

  677. the road to victory. Let Him remind you that Sunday's

  678. coming, and in fact, today is Sunday.

  679. And today I am the resurrection. I am the life, and I'm standing

  680. here with you. Yes, I died on Friday.

  681. It looks sad. But listen, I am here right now,

  682. the resurrection. And so you open the word when

  683. your heart feels heavy and let it speak to you.

  684. And when that happens, 05 rises. Oh, when you go for your walk,

  685. your prayer walk and you have that chat with the Lord, all of

  686. a sudden you feel like, Oh my goodness, something is stirring

  687. in me. There's a fire stirring in me.

  688. There's a fire that's stirring in me.

  689. And now Jesus walks with him. He listens, He opens the

  690. scripture. And what's happening when he's

  691. opening the Scripture? Because Jesus is opening the

  692. Scripture to them. What's this?

  693. On this long journey, they're walking, he's opening the

  694. scripture opening. And so what's happening is hope

  695. is rising. So all of a sudden, and this is

  696. the whole muffle, the theme of this message where they say,

  697. didn't our hearts burn? Because this is what Jesus is

  698. doing. He's opening up the word and

  699. faith is now rising. All of a sudden, the fire is now

  700. is now beginning little by little is beginning to burn

  701. again. And they're like, Oh my

  702. goodness. And that's what Scripture will

  703. do to you, the word of God. It will stir your heart.

  704. It will stir the fire. And I watch this the moment now

  705. they're coming close to the village.

  706. And here Imas is coming. Now watch this.

  707. Jesus is doing something amazing.

  708. Eraser, right? I think he's acting like he's

  709. leaving. Hi, Cleo.

  710. Yeah, one of the disciples. Cleo.

  711. Yeah. Come read it.

  712. He acted that he's leaving, but he's not leaving.

  713. Bye. What is he doing?

  714. By Cleo Chelsea later. Go.

  715. What is he doing? He's drawing the hunger in their

  716. hearts. Remember now the fight is

  717. rising. The fight that fire is stirring.

  718. He's drawing, he's seeing, he's drawing something that's on the

  719. inside of it. He is waiting for an opportunity

  720. for them to say stay, oh, stay with us.

  721. He's waiting for that invitation.

  722. He still goes by that invitation.

  723. What they have to say, that's not how it works.

  724. Listen, Jesus, he will never force himself, he said.

  725. He said gentle in a very, very gentle way.

  726. He will never force himself on it.

  727. He goes on invitation. He'll he'll draw near, he'll

  728. come and he walk and he's pretending and acting like he's

  729. going to the next village. Bye.

  730. See you guys later. But really he's just waiting for

  731. that invitation. He's not forcing himself on

  732. anything the Bible says in Revelation 3.

  733. He's standing at the door and he's knocking.

  734. It's up to us if we open it. It's up to us if we he goes by

  735. invitation. Now remember, they still don't

  736. know this is Jesus the resurrected, but something is

  737. starting in the hearts. Let me show you that.

  738. Verse 3, Verse 20. Look, I stand at the door and I

  739. knock. If you hear my voice and open

  740. the door, I will come in and we will share our meal together as

  741. friends. So Jesus is knocking.

  742. Jesus. Yeah, Jesus right there.

  743. And so he is waiting for somebody to open the door for

  744. him. He's waiting for you to say,

  745. stay with me, come into this house, come into the situation,

  746. come into my finances, my health, my marriage, my family.

  747. And that is what these disciples did.

  748. They invited him in. They said, stay with us, stay

  749. with me. I love that.

  750. What a powerful prayer to pray many times.

  751. Oh, it's beautiful. Lord, stay, stay, staying when

  752. this long journey stay in this uncertain situation, this

  753. battle, stay with us because the presence God is not just a

  754. bonus, it's not just an add on and we know God is omnipro.

  755. But I'll talk about the manifested presence here, OK,

  756. because I've seen I've been in a viable meetings where somebody

  757. gets healed of cancer and a person next to him is sleeping.

  758. I've I've literally I've taken somebody to church and South

  759. Africa are the top athletes. He had a massive burnt actually

  760. cut off and, and, and he really needed, he was sleeping through

  761. the entire service. He's like, no, God's not.

  762. Yeah, he wasn't. But the moment there was prayer

  763. and God touched him and healed him and his hamster was

  764. completely, he realized God is in the place even we, we, we

  765. went early. We went to the he said, oh, I'm

  766. so bored. This place, this, this the he

  767. didn't know God is in the place. He didn't know God's about to

  768. heal him. Many times I've seen it over and

  769. over. I'm talking about the manifest

  770. praise of God that God turns up God's in the place and it's

  771. like, Lord, open up my eyes and I want you.

  772. I want you, Lord. That's and he goes, it's amazing

  773. because he still goes on invitation on hungry hearts.

  774. That's how he works. That's how God, he still works

  775. like that today in our lives. Hungry hearts, Yeah, you got to

  776. be you got. He goes with invitations like

  777. invite the law, invite him in and say Lord come.

  778. He responds to hunger, the invitation.

  779. And so I want to tell you if you will make room for him.

  780. If it's in a morning walk during the day, you make room for him.

  781. He will meet you. Then I have that.

  782. That's my God knows that like we book appointments on calendars.

  783. We go on our calendar and we book appointments and all that

  784. for various meetings, business meetings and all that.

  785. Put on your calendar, book a meeting with God.

  786. I'm telling you now, it worked. I'm telling you now, you an

  787. invitation like I book meetings, even with ones What?

  788. When we do a date night, we book a time, we book a OK, so you

  789. book that appointment with God. You go on your calendar, you

  790. say, right, God, I'll meet you then there many times.

  791. Yeah. And this forest.

  792. Yeah, this one, the forest, not the one at the lookout.

  793. I can tell you over and over and over.

  794. I've booked meetings with God and God every time shuts up.

  795. He's never late, He's on time. I've booked a meeting book.

  796. When you make time, when you make room, he'll meet you.

  797. When you open the door, he'll come in.

  798. I'm telling you, God responds to the invitation.

  799. He responds, OK, this, this is exactly what we see here because

  800. he will meet you there when you make room for him.

  801. When you invite him, he will come in.

  802. He responds because that's what he does.

  803. When they the Bible says, when they invited him, they said stay

  804. with us. The Bible, Jesus joined them.

  805. He went into the house. That's the goodness of God.

  806. That's the faithfulness of God. And so that brings us to

  807. communion, because this is the beauty of communion, because

  808. it's all in this chapter. Communion is an invitation.

  809. It's a divine invitation. Are you ready for this one

  810. church? Do you have your communion

  811. elements? OK.

  812. Because it's the beauty. Because.

  813. So he came into the house and yeah, he's joining them at the

  814. table. And here's something on the

  815. table. It looks ordinary, just like an

  816. ordinary meal. But that ordinary meal turned

  817. into a holy moment. Yeah.

  818. And so this is where everything changed.

  819. This is where the whole story shifts.

  820. This is now the turning point. OK.

  821. This is where the whole shift takes place Because Jesus, the

  822. Bible says Jesus took the bread he took and he blessed it.

  823. He broke it and he gave it to them.

  824. I want you to get hold of this because this is where everything

  825. changes, the whole story. Everything shifts.

  826. OK? Don't miss this moment now

  827. because Abad says the moment Jesus blessed broken and gave

  828. them the bread, suddenly they eyes opened.

  829. Jeez, that long mild journey, that road, all of a sudden

  830. they're at the table. This is so look, so ordinary.

  831. Just branches all of a sudden, the moment they took comedian

  832. open their eyes open and they recognize this is Jesus

  833. comedian. What looks so small, so simple

  834. can do this to our lives, can shift your entire life today,

  835. completely shift your perspective, the way you see

  836. things and shift everything in your life, in your career, in

  837. your health from this. That looks so ordinary, but it's

  838. a holy moment. What a moment.

  839. Suddenly their eyes are, they didn't just talk about Jesus,

  840. they just think about Jesus. They didn't just discuss Jesus,

  841. they recognize here it is encountered Jesus, an encounter

  842. with the Lord and revealing versus Jesus and their eyes

  843. open. This is Jesus.

  844. This is what I'm believing today for us today, this moment of

  845. communion as a corporate party of Christ Jesus, body of Jesus,

  846. that burdens will lift, eyes will open up, that this is your

  847. suddenly moment. This is your eye opening moment.

  848. This is your burning, your heart burning moment that when we

  849. partake of the communion of the Lord, he is, but there will be a

  850. sudden moment, heart's burning for Jesus.

  851. Every heart be set ablaze on fire for Jesus.

  852. So Are you ready to receive community together?

  853. Because it says here Luke 2430, it says when he was at the

  854. table, you want them into bread, gave thanks, broke it, began to

  855. give it to them. Then the eyes were open and they

  856. recognized him. Glory be to God.

  857. So this will be a moment where eyes open.

  858. Are you ready where hearts burn? Jesus makes himself real again.

  859. So let's take the bread, the wafer, just the top pot.

  860. So this is not a little ritual dead religion, OK, This is now,

  861. this is the party of Jesus Christ that we are receiving.

  862. So it's a divine invitation. So I want you to hold it in your

  863. hand and then pray this with me out loud.

  864. So thank you Jesus for the cross.

  865. Thank you for your broken body. Open my eyes and set my heart on

  866. fire in Jesus name. Now eat the bread together.

  867. Father, let your presence touch every heart.

  868. Turn heaviness into holy fire. Stir faith, set every heart

  869. ablaze in Jesus mighty name. Now take the cup in your hand.

  870. Let's open that. This cup reminds us of the blood

  871. of Jesus, gives a new beginning, brand new life.

  872. Now pray this with me. Lord Jesus, thank you for your

  873. blood. Thank you that my sin is

  874. forgiven. Thank you that the enemy has no

  875. claim over my life. As I drink this cup I receive

  876. life, abundant life, freedom, hope in Jesus name, Amen.

  877. Now drink the cup together. Now lift your hands to heaven,

  878. Father, let fresh fire fall upon every person in this room.

  879. Lift heaviness, lift every burden.

  880. Open our eyes to see. Let revival fire touch every

  881. heart. Mighty name of Jesus and

  882. everybody, come on, give him some shout of praise.

  883. Hallelujah. Glory be to God.

  884. So very quickly and closing, I just want to wrap this up half

  885. of the table. So everything's shifted.

  886. Everything change. What was heavy began to put he

  887. was a turn around. And so they looked at one

  888. another and they said, did not our hearts burn within us?

  889. Oh, I love that we're not our hearts burning burning hearts

  890. within us. Now they started the road heavy.

  891. They ended the road burning. They started the road

  892. discouraged sorrow. They ended the road on fire,

  893. Holy Ghost, Fire. That is what Jesus still does

  894. today. He turns heavy hearts into

  895. burning hearts. And so heavy hearts can burn

  896. again. What sin?

  897. They can live again because Jesus is alive.

  898. Your joy can live again. Your hope can live again.

  899. Your faith can live again. Holy fire.

  900. You can burn again. And so when their hearts were

  901. set on fire and yeah, right at the end of the charter, I love

  902. the last part. It says when they got on fire,

  903. they returned to Jerusalem. Hallelujah.

  904. They returned to like promise Jerusalem on fire like that on

  905. fire, back to Jerusalem with the fire of God.

  906. They have now been touched and changed.

  907. They're on fire. They are carrying resurrection

  908. power, resurrection witness. We encounter the resurrection.

  909. We are burning with fire. And so they are back.

  910. They are back on the right and they are returning to Jerusalem

  911. with fire. Listen, they came.

  912. They did not go back the same way.

  913. And I believe you will not leave the same way.

  914. You can eat, OK? You'll leave with the fire of

  915. God. Listen, when Jesus touches you,

  916. your eyes don't stay the same. When you have a really

  917. comfortable Jesus, you don't stay the same.

  918. They were changed, hearts set on fire, awakened ablaze on fire,

  919. fresh fire and so really uncomfortable Jesus.

  920. It will put fresh fire in your life.

  921. It will turn you up, will set your hot boiling.

  922. And I believe that you are not living the same way.

  923. You came into this place. You might have come in here

  924. carrying something heavy, something.

  925. But listen, you are leaving this place with Holy Ghost fire,

  926. fresh fire. You are living different.

  927. You are living on fire, boiling on, on fire.

  928. Hallelujah. So the same Jesus who walk with

  929. those disciples are walking with you, the very same Jesus who

  930. open up their eyes. He's opening up your eyes right

  931. now for fairy sake, Jesus, who set their hearts on fire.

  932. They set it your hearts on fire right now the very same pieces

  933. that turn their lights around is turning your lights around.

  934. So lift your face, lift your expectation.

  935. This is when your fire comes back.

  936. Somebody get up, give God surprise.

  937. So right now, if you came in carrying disappointment or grief

  938. or loss or heaviness, if you say, Lord, set my heart on fire.

  939. If you say, open up my eyes, lift your hands right now, lift

  940. both hands and say this with me. Say, Lord, open my eyes, stay

  941. with me, set my heart on fire. Now put your hand on your heart

  942. right now. Because the very same Jesus walk

  943. with those two disciples is here in this room right now.

  944. The Saint Jesus who walked on the road to Mayas is with, is

  945. with, is with you right now. He's walking in this room right

  946. now. The same Jesus is here touching

  947. hearts. Heavy hearts can burn again.

  948. So Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for every person right

  949. now under the sound of my voice. Let every burden lift, break

  950. every heaviness for heal every disappointment.

  951. Lord, strengthen where we saw. Restore joy, restore faith,

  952. restore hope and dreams, restore holy fire.

  953. Now Lord turn every heart burning burning for your Jesus

  954. Central Church on fire. Let Bracken on burn for Jesus,

  955. blade our nation, the nation of UK.

  956. Burn for Jesus all the way from the all the way through into

  957. businesses. Every school will be set to

  958. blame. Now.

  959. Receive that, receive peace, receive fire, receive strength,

  960. receive hope. Now I want you to declare this

  961. with faith. Say I will not leave the same

  962. way I came. This is where my fire comes

  963. back. My heavy heart is becoming a

  964. burning heart. What fell cold will burn again.

  965. Jesus is alive and I will live on fire.

  966. I declare my heart burns for you Jesus.

  967. Now give it some praise. Somebody top Hallelujah.
