Winning The War Within - Pastor Will Roos

So that brings me to the title of today's message on the war

worth in right. So I'll put that out there for

us. You can see the war worth.

And now when it talks about the war within, Oh, thank you,

Sansi. And that's great.

We'll just get that all nicely. Then we can see the bit a little

bit better than the war within. And so we're going to look at

Genesis. We're going to go to Genesis 25.

We're going to look at powerful story there.

We're going to go through Roman sites and see, because this is

the greatest battle, the greatest battle in your life.

It's not always what's going on around you in the world.

The economy, the difficulty, the challenges, the finalists.

It's not what's going the greatest guy is within you.

It's this war within you between the old nature and the new

nature, the spirit and the flesh in the book of Romans chapter 8,

Romans 8 · chapter mention

that is the battle between. And listen, every believer knows

this, every one of us, every believer that's born and has got

a new nature, that is this battle.

You can be standing and praising and worshipping God.

You can be praying, you can be feeling the praises of God.

You can drive back home and somebody cuts off in traffic.

One person says one wrong thing and another version shows up and

you're like, oh, where did that come from?

How did that happen? And somebody says something

wrong at home and that version shows up and you're like, how

did that happen exactly? OK, it's the war within.

It's another version. That's two versions, everyone.

We have two versions, 2 natures inside of us.

OK, every one of us. But now let me just give you the

good news when it comes to this powerful, this battle, this

greatest battle that is within us.

The good news is you are not powerless, but through the Holy

Spirit, we have got the power to win the war within Hallelujah.

Somebody shot Hallelujah because I feel it right, The power of

Holy Ghost winning the war with, I mean, right now Genesis 25,

let's go to our main text and the Word of God, verse 22.

We'll pick it up there. It says there, but the children

struggle together say struggled within her talking about Rebecca

and she said if all is well, why am I like this?

OK, so why, why is this happening to me?

So she went to inquire of the Lord.

So she asked the Lord. The Lord said to her, two

nations on your womb, 2 people shall be separate from your

body. One people shall be stronger

than the other. Now watch this.

The older shall serve the younger.

Hallelujah. Let's pray.

Father, we thank you for your praises.

Holy Spirit, welcome in this place.

Come, this is your service. Have your way.

Move freely amongst every one of us.

Lead us today in Jesus mighty name.

Everybody said Amen. So this passage in the

scripture, it talks about Rebecca that is pregnant with

twins Jacob and Isha and the Bible says there's a struggle on

the inside of her in a womb. Something is hard.

This is unusual. It's not just a normal movement.

There's an unusual movement, but this is talking about a struggle

in the womb. There is a fight.

There is a battle that is going on in side of her womb in this

passage of Scripture. And so this battle that's going

on in the side the bottles where it talks about two babies, two

nations, 2 features, one womb inside of her.

There's a fight. There's a battle between the two

and she's asking God, God, why is this happening to me now?

Have you ever asked that God, why is there it feels like I'm

being pulled in two different directions.

Have you ever had those? You've been asking the law Lord,

why does it kill like I've been torn apart in two ways.

Why is it that I want to do the right thing but I'm still being

pulled into the wrong key. Come on this Paul the apostle

mature question. Paul the apostle said I don't do

what I want to do. I do the wrong.

I do what I hate. Romans tried to save the Bible.

That's what Paul says so or why is this struggling me?

Why is it that I'm feeling being pulled into this way, that

direction? Why is this struggle?

And so God told Rebecca, there is 2 nations inside of you.

That's not just the story about Rebecca.

That is a picture of every believer.

There's two natures in US, two versions to pass in each and

every one of us. The war with in each one of us.

And so you have two versions, 2 versions.

There's one positive faithful version, and then there's one

negative doubt version. So there's two versions, the

flesh and then the spirit. And those two are in conflict

with one another. They're the opposite.

The old nature, that's the flesh.

The new nature is the spirit. And so they oppose one another.

The two forces, the nature, the two versions inside of you don't

agree. They want to do 2 different

things. They opposed.

The Bible is very clear. Let me read that to you that

they are in opposition, okay. They are in conflict with one

another. Paul said in Galatians 5 or 17,

it says for the flesh lust against the Spirit.

So the flesh and infrared against each other, they spur it

against the flesh and these are contrary.

So they oppose one another so that you do not do the things

that you do. So we've been feel like you've

been, I want to do the right thing, but Paul says I'm doing

the wrong thing, I'm doing the thing that I hate.

And so those two they are not they don't want the same thing.

They are at war on the inside of you.

That is why you can look very good and strong on the outside,

but you are battling and wrestling on the inside.

The one moment you're going to be full of faith, crazy worship

is you full of faith. The very next moment, fear.

Once you try and take and rule and take over the two Persians.

And so it doesn't see, that doesn't mean because there's a

struggle inside of you. It doesn't mean that there is

something wrong with you. It means that there is a wall on

the inside of you. And we see this so clearly.

And I'm going to show you an example of Peter.

Peter love Jesus, very loyal to Jesus, one of his disciples,

very loyal and bold to Jesus. Even when they came to erase

Jesus, Peter was the one that protected Jesus.

Remember, Peter was the one pulled out the sword, right,

protected you there. He was bold Peter protective

Peter strong rock A little while later, standing at a fire and

somebody says, oh, we know who you are.

You're one of his disciples. Go.

I don't know Jesus. Deny Jesus.

We stop Peter now. So again and again they keep on

asking him, Oh, you are one of them.

We know you're a disciple. No, I don't know Jesus.

I don't know him. So by this time, Gee, Peter is

now angry. He's cursing.

He's cursing. OK, what's happened?

The two versions, the other Peter showed up.

So Peter went from denying from protecting Jesus to denying

Jesus. So there he is protecting.

He was a strong the rock, but all of us are of his denying

Jesus. 2 visions, 2 natures. OK you're getting this.

So the one moment he's defending Jesus, that's the one Peter.

And then the next moment is denying Jesus 2 pizzas.

The 1 is a bold Peter and the other one is a fearful Peter.

Two natures inside of each of us.

OK. And so I want you to get this

because we're going to go and I want to see how this one

person's got two different responses, two different

versions. And so Peters failure and this

is the grace of God did not cancel his calling.

God didn't throw him away. You couldn't throw my restore

and remember what happened on day of Pentecost.

And this is so powerful because Holy Spirit the Spirit of God

and power and the same man that denied Jesus became the same

that a man that declared Jesus and thousands got saved

thousands got come to Christ. They say now that deny Jesus now

declared Jesus 2 natures. What Holy Spirit poem this is

put it on the river on the diaphenticles were poured out

and he was charged. So if you've had a struggle and

a battle on the inside of you, get ready for the power of the

Holy Ghost to bring a shift, to bring a transformation, because

you're going to win the war within by the power of God, by

living a spirit LED life. I mean, somebody, yeah, the

power of the Holy Ghost, that's a spirit LED life.

You win the war within. And so, baby, yes, you have let

the old nature get up too many times. the US should have.

But that does not mean it cancelled your future doesn't

mean it's cancelled your holy, doesn't mean God's front your

way. OK.

So it's the nature. Just be encouraged today because

I believe that by the Spirit of God that you are stepping into a

higher level of victory, of freedom of favor.

And just like Peter, there's going to be a winning, there's

going to be a turn around. Just like Peter, you're going to

rise higher and you're going to win the war within, OK.

And you're going to become all that Goddess gratitude to be.

And then somebody, I love this walking in the spirit.

This is powerful. This is a life changer.

Amen. So you understand the war within

how and I'm going to give you from the word of God winning the

war, somebody shout Hallelujah. So don't let the enemy tell you

that just because there is been a struggle within you, that your

calling has been cancelled. Just because there's been a

struggle, a war, a battle within you, that doesn't mean God's

finished with you. The struggle, the war, the

pulling between inside of you. It just means that there is a

now a new nature inside of you. It means you've now become born

again and you've got a new nature.

And this new nature that is on the inside of you is ready to

win. This new nature that is coming

is ready now. Bleed, Oh, to lead you into

victory, to lead you into. That's why when we get born

again, we get a new nature and the new nature says, listen, I

am now here to lead the way. No more flesh.

Flesh has been there for long enough.

Now you're born again. Now we're going to do something

different. We're going to live for a

different lives. Now we're going to live

victoriously. Hallelujah.

Somebody give God some things. Oh Hallelujah.

That's just good at life, OK, because that's what the Bible

says, that we are now a new creation.

Second parenthesis, it talks about we have become a new

creation. The old nature has passed away.

OK, so that's been very passed away.

Now all things have become new right now because it's passed

away, that does not mean because it's been buried.

It doesn't mean OK, that we that we still need to deal with the

flesh every day. The Bible says Paul the apostle

again says I die daily. So the flesh needs to be subdued

and dealt with, crucified every day.

We have to deal with the flesh and tweet it out of the way.

That's Apostle Paul. He wrote so much of the New

Testament. He showed miracles he planted

and Paul had to deal with the flesh every day.

He said I die daily, not once a month around now and then, OK.

And so every day we have to say no to something.

We have to say no, OK. And so we've got to bring the

flesh under the leadership of the Spirit, right?

And so we've got to say no. Flesh, you are not in charge.

I'm not born again. There's no new nature in me.

Now listen, flesh, you've got to be subdued.

Now the spirit is the new leader.

Now the spirit is the boss. And so we see it all the time.

You know, this nature, we just, you know, walk around.

If you, let's say you go to one of the shops or you can be

walking around in the Lexicon shopping centre and you know,

all of a sudden you just smell some fresh doughnuts and you

know these fresh doughnuts and basils and chocolate roll and

he's, you smell like Donuts 3 shops away and you walk and

you're like, OK, wow, that smells really nice.

And so the new man, the new creation, the new nature says

just walk by. You don't need that today.

But yes, that's the war within the old nature says and now the

old man, the old nature may be dead and buried, but apparently

you can still smell that flesh nature.

That would be better than dog though, but they can still smell

and it can all of a sudden become very loud.

You don't just need one donut, you need 3 Donuts.

Oh, you know what, even basic, you've had a hard day, you've

had a very hard week. Take 5 Donuts, chocolates and

that thing is so loud and that place becomes all all of a

sudden and have you ever had this racial and you're sort of

thinking, OK, Lord, let's, let's make a deal yet.

We pray that you produce the calories and Lord, if you can

take this donut, you can actually in some way, Lord, just

reduce the fat code. Just give me turn it into a

reduced fat miracle doughnuts. Like you know, when you eat it,

it's like the calories vanish and the the sugar melts away in

your mouth and you're like, Lord, just remove the calories.

Remove the doughnuts out of this and you ask God to remove the

calories. Yeah.

And so that's what happened. You know, it's like this war on

the inside. And so we listen.

It's just beyond. And we have all been there.

This is the war exclusions we are going through in our lives.

Big building directions for some is different for some others.

Some. Some certain things, you know,

doesn't appeal, but other things more than that.

For others, some things, you know, you just know that that

doesn't appeal to you. But then there's other things.

So that's why we're all in this race, all in this battle.

And so, yeah, the old man might be dead and the old man might be

buried, but if you keep feeding him, he's going to get back up.

The old man might be buried and dead, but if you keep feeding

him, he might get out and he'll walk around like a dead man

walking around. Yeah.

You've heard that say dead man walking.

OK, yeah. And then, you know, keep on

feeding that flesh and all of a sudden that flesh is very much

alive. Come right back.

And so, yeah, I'm just walking around and trying to run your

life. OK, it keep on feeding him.

And so that is the war within. Even Paul said it.

He had to put the flesh down daily.

OK, it's not a once off. And so the good news is that

when it comes to the battle within, we are not warring and

fighting this battle on God is with us.

God is fighting with us. He's in this with us.

We are not doing this on our lungs.

And that is the good news of this message that God is working

in you. And I love this verse he says

here because sometimes in life it feels like the flesh, it's so

strong. The flesh is like bossy and the

morning, but the flesh might be bossy in the morning and wanting

to try and rule your life. The flesh might because the

flesh doesn't prompt. The flesh dictates.

He's a dictator. He's a very terrible boss, but

the spirit is stronger. There's the war between the

flesh and the spirit, but praise God, the spirit is stronger.

Now I want to show you something in Philippians 2 verse 13.

Philippians 2:13

So it says there that for God is working in you, giving you the

desire and the power to do what pleases him.

So we are not alone in this. We're not trying to fight this

around. God is working in US with us,

giving us the power and the desire to do what is right, to

do the right thing. And So what we need to do is we

must not follow our own way. We must yield and surrender to

God and say, right, I'm going to follow the leader.

I'm going to follow this first. So Holy Spirit, you lead me.

And that is our prayer. And I just love that song.

Spirit, lead me. And if you say it's wrong, then

I say no because God puts that desire.

And God says, if you say release, I'm letting go.

If you say trust, I will obey it.

I don't want to follow my own ways.

And I'm not chasing feelings, OK?

And I love those lyrics when it says that even when I don't make

sayings, I'm going to let your spirit lead.

Spirit, lead me. Come on, Sir, Spirit lead me.

That's the heart of this message.

That's the prayer today of this message.

Spirit, lead me, lead my life. Because winning the war with

him, one of the greatest wars in our lives.

Now I'm going to show you the others now in a minute.

But when in the war in our life, it's not a once off.

This is not something that we just do as a once of Jesus said,

carry your cross daily. So it's not once off.

It's not just on a Sunday when we come to church every day, we

are walking the stream. That's why Paul says die daily.

So it's an everyday battle. Now some battles are quick and

instant. Again, we thank God for those

battles quickly, addiction, right?

Like that, that's all. Thank God for that.

But then these battles that takes longer.

And I just want to be really and honest and I just want to show

you from the Bible, I want to show you 2 examples from the

life of David because there was a quick and then there was a

long. Now the quick battle, we find

that in the book in the Bible, it talks about how David

defeated Goliath. That was instant.

It was right there a few minutes in a moment.

That was a very quick battle over and done, great victory,

well done. But then there's long battles,

the longer battles that was a battle that took for years.

So God sometimes come in with instant battles on the map and

then is he allows battles that takes on.

So for instance, Saul, Saul kept on opposing David for years.

It was not like David and Goliath in one moment David

concrete, well done, great victory.

No, this one get on. He kept on throwing Spears

chasing David on for years. So that's a battle that took on

a long time in his life, and it's a longer battle.

And so every one of us, we have some quick, better than we have

Lombard. Every one of us, we have a soul

now. It might be bitterness, it might

be unforgiveness, it might be gossip, it might be offense,

okay? It might be negativity or

criticism or insecurity. Some enemies God removes

instantly and he takes care of them there and then.

And we thank God for those powerful testimonies that we

have. Person has been addicted for a

long time and addiction just broke off on his screen.

We thank God for that. That's a moment, but thank God

allows certain battles to go on for years.

He allows you to give you the grace to overcome them one step

at a time, one choice at a time. Those battles, OK.

And so every time you choose to forgive when you could have hold

bitterness, you're growing. One step at a time.

And so those battles, they they carried on out one step at a

time. And so, yeah, you choose when

you could have exploded, you could have had a a foot, a

tantrum, screaming, shouting. But you say calm, you're

growing. You could have got angry, but

you decided to stay calm. Now you're growing Those

battles, you see what we're talking.

You walk away from temptation through growing, OK.

And so every time you choose this spirit over the flesh, you

are growing. So don't let the long battle

wear you down. Don't let the soul and that

battle, the kids wear you down to the point where you say,

well, this is just who I am. I am just an angry person.

I'm just this type of a bird. Don't do rise up.

Stand in the spirit, OK, and announce to that show and say

you're not going to keep it from my listing.

I'm not giving up. This battle might be going on.

It seems like this flesh is strong.

But listen, the spirit is stronger and I'm going to keep

on walking in the spirits. This flesh might be Bossier and

strong and trying. But listen, I'm going to keep on

going. I'm going to keep on going.

Hallelujah, somebody OK. And so now the Bible gives us a

very, very powerful prophetic insight in the outcome.

Oh, I love the result. I love it when God goes into the

he gives us the he gives us the answer.

I love it when God gives us the outcome.

And here we see this prophetic insight in the structure in

Genesis chapter 24 five, God gives us the outcome.

Are you ready for this? Are you ready for the outcome?

Somebody? Because this is powerful, OK.

And so he gives us the outcome because he will give us this,

this prophetic insight on what will happen with these two

natures. Are you ready for this?

I'm like, yes, but I want to know what's happening between

these two natures, these two versions, the old version and

the new version. The Bible says the older will

serve the younger. Somebody's already getting it.

You already, you already got it. That's just not right in that

you got the revelation. That's powerful.

OK, So I want you to listen. It says this is when God says,

OK, so he gives us the order of the struggle.

So when he says in Genesis 25 that that the older will serve

the younger, there it is. So this is not talking about

your age, OK, whether you are another first born family, OK,

Like me, I'm the first born, I'm a family.

So it's not about your age, how old you are, like, so relax.

The older ones of the younger, like my younger brother in South

Africa, I'm like, listen, OK? Listen.

So it's not talking about first born, OK, your age.

This is something much deeper. Yeah.

OK. Can we go a little deeper here

today? Is that OK?

And tell your neighbor, get ready.

We're going deeper now, Father, get ready.

OK. Because we are going deeper.

Yeah, This is. We're going to go for it.

OK. So let me share this with you

because this is a story. I was born in the 70s, born in

Pretoria. And so for years, growing up in

Pretoria, for years, I did what come naturally.

The flash nature. The flesh was a boss.

The flesh was in charge for years.

But then something amazing happened.

I got born again when I got safe and born again when I got a new

nature. Now I'm learning every time to

subdue the flesh with all the watchers, the younger one.

Somebody's getting this. Are you getting this?

You got this. You're following this.

OK, you understand because before you came to Christ, the

flesh had years of practice. The flesh was the flesh was the

boss for years in charge before you came to Christ.

And so there's the flesh and it's got the practice in charge

for years. OK, imagine this, Let's say you

spent your first 20-30 years before you come to Jesus, before

you receive, before you got born again for 20-30 years.

Who was in charge for all those years?

The flesh. So for flitzy years, the flesh

is a child. So the flesh knew how to worry,

how to gossip, how to argue, how to get offended.

The fresh knows the flesh for all those years, so the flesh so

for. Let's say it's the 30 years, the

flesh is the older one. Now we get born again.

A new nature comes in, new creation.

So let's say you've been born again now for five years.

So there's a younger 1. You understand what I'm saying?

So the spirit, younger one, the spirit, you've got a life.

You got born again that's younger.

The flesh has been in charge for 30 years.

The flesh wants to be the boss. Now here comes the new nature.

Now they're opposing one another.

Now this one, the young one saying we want to do things

differently now we want to love people, we want to forgive

people. We want to be crying.

The first dictator says, I'm the dictator, I'm the boss.

You will be offended. This is now the Bible comes.

The scripture says the only one will serve the young.

Wow, my God. Oh, so the old was served, the

new, so the old. That means the old habits, the

old pattern of thinking, the old cycles.

They don't get to lead anymore, even though they're the older

one. They don't get to lead anymore

because now what's happened, You've got a new leader.

You've got a new leader. Oh, Hallelujah.

And so you get born again. You get safe.

Thank God we got a little leader.

You got a new leader in your heart, in your life.

And so somebody says for it, lead me.

Yeah. Follow the leader God, because

God never intended for the flesh to lead your life.

God never intended for the flesh, created you for the flesh

to be controlled by the cravings of the fleshly nature, the

fleshly desires. And Genesis 25, it shows us

something very powerful about the danger when the flesh leads.

Oh, and the flesh wants to take the steering wheel and the flesh

wants to lead the danger. And let me show you.

Because he also came from the field and he was hungry and his

brother Jacob was cooking the the Stew, the bowl of Stew.

And so in one flesh moment, he tried his birthright.

Yeah, for a bowl of Stew. Now think about that.

His birthright, his inheritance, his future, his placings,

legacy. He tried it, that for a bowl of

Stew, the cravings of the flesh, the last of the flesh, the pride

of life, that gratification, it wants instant gratification,

wants it now. That's flesh gratification.

That's not the place, that's not the ice.

Pride of life, instant gratification, it wants it now.

And yes, he is so. And he looked at that bowl of

Stew and he valued the bowl of Stew more than he's burnt right

to value that fresh pressure, that gratification, that is the

more than his inheritance. What do we value?

And he tried it, his legacy. That is what happens when we

allow the fresh to lead. We try things in our lives.

And so you may seem small, just one small compromise, just one

little gossip, one thing. But small choices can have major

big consequences, OK. And everyone of us in our lives,

we have Easter moments when we are in the choice.

Now, are we going to choose the flesh or the spirit?

What are we going to choose? And so those moments, especially

when we are tired, emotional, frustrated, looking for relief,

that is when the flesh gets loud and the flesh wants to dictate

and very loud and very bossy and wants to dictate to us.

But remember, the flesh may be loud maybe, but the spirit is

stronger. Amen, somebody.

It's fairly stronger. It's stronger.

So just ask yourself today, what pole is trying to buy your

birthright? One craving is trying to control

your calling. 1 craving. OK, what is that?

Because once you know clearly, you can decide differently.

And when you choose right, when you choose to obey, when you

choose purpose your future, when you choose the right thing,

you're winning the war there. So now the one of the greatest

truths in the Bible and we Paul says it what you show your reap.

Yes, all throughout the Bible Biblical principle all

throughout what you show your reap and he says here Galatians

Galatians 6:8

6 verse 8. It says for if he shows to his

flesh will of the flesh reap corruption.

But if he shows the spirit will of the spirit reap everlasting

life. So every time you do the right

thing, you are sowing peace, you're showing joy into your

future, and you're showing blessing into your fear.

Every time you choose the right thing, do the right thing.

Now, here's the key. So what you feed is what grows.

Yeah, inside what you feed is what grows.

OK. And so your old nature, the old

self, is not as strong as it looks.

It just sometimes feels strong because it keeps getting fit.

That's why it feels tough. Remember when I said earlier on,

yes, they read and all that, but keep feeding.

That's where it feels strong. Because if you feed anger, the

more you feed anger, the more anger grows.

The more you feed fear, fear grows, then becomes bigger.

The more you feed offence, the offence grow.

So what do you, what is it that you, if you feed faith, faithful

growth, Yeah. And so every time that you

worship, every time you come to church, every time you open the

Bible, every time you pray, you come and you worship God, every

time we come together, we pray, you are feeding your spirit.

Every time we come, we read the Bible, we pray, we come

together, we worship God. Like today, you are feeding your

spirit, you're feeding your new nature.

It's growing, becoming stronger. OK, so this is what we want

because that is why it's so simple.

We have to starve the flesh, starve the flesh, feed the

spirit. Spirit stronger than the flesh.

Yeah. Because you don't automatically

just drift into victory. You drift and you grow into you.

You grow into that direction. You feed.

Yeah, that's true. OK, so the Bible says that the

enemy goes around like a roaring lion.

Now, the roar is loud. The roar is strong.

That can't intimidate. But what if you stop feeding

that lion? The roar goes weaker.

That lion's roar might be strong, loud, and that enemy may

go around rule, but the mug stop feeding the lion.

The roar goes weak, strength goes weak, break the control.

Some lions are only roaring because of feeding.

That's why some lions are still roaring like the enemy.

Roar, roar, roar because we keep feeding them.

Stop feeding the flesh, starve the flesh because every time you

dwell on fear, OK, you feed it and so that it's dead food.

Now we never created to live on dead food.

The Bible compares us to an eagle.

Eagle soars high eagles. Their strength is connected.

If you look at the eagle, their strength is connected to their

diet. Eagles, if you look at the

difference like like ribbon chickens and all that, like just

dead food on the. But an eagle eat live food,

fresh feet, fresh meat. When you look at an eagle's

diet. Yeah.

So why did you change your diet? Because God wants us to soar

high. And you say that's if he wants

us to live higher. And some of you, if you want to

soar spiritually high and you want to grow spiritually, you

have to watch what you are feeding on.

So like an eagle, OK, so you feed on live food, feed on the

world, feed on prayer, OK, worship the praises of God,

right? And so then faith gets stronger.

And So what? You feed when.

Amen. Now here's the truth.

The flesh wants to be in charge. The flesh wants to be on the

front. The flesh wants to be the boss

wants its own way. OK, now the flesh, you don't

have to teach the flesh how to act.

OK, I've seen this with many times, you know, because we were

all born with the flesh. Now you don't have to teach it.

I've seen it with our children. OK, You don't have to teach

children at a very young age. You don't have to teach them to

be impatient and selfish. My toy, This is my toy.

And they hold on to that toy and it's like their friends are,

they don't want to play together, but this is my toy.

Nobody taught them that. Nobody taught them that

selfishness. I mean, at that little young age

to hold on to that toy like this.

I'm like, come share. These are your friends.

Share your toy. No, it's my toy.

Flesh. I've said that.

The ones I remember, we were at the shops.

This is not going here. So I'll just be open and honest

with you today. But it's not years ago.

And yeah, one of my kids live 2 years now.

We're walking in the shop, everything's fine.

He's happy, he's walking, smiling.

And then until he took something off the shelf and his mom said

very kindly and very gently, no. OK, put that back.

All of a sudden tantrum on the floor, crying, screaming, stick

kicking is like the end of the world.

Nobody, What was that? Nobody told him to do that.

That flesh born with that nature.

Flesh nature. OK, because that is what the

flea, You don't have to teach the flesh, OK, But the flesh

doesn't like to be told. The Flash wants to be the boss,

the dictator. The flash nature we have two

natures, doesn't like to be told.

No, the Flash wants it. It wants what it wants, and it

wants it when it wants it. Yeah, that's it.

OK. And so, yeah, that is

understandable when they are two.

The problem is when you are 42 it's OK for a toddler to throw a

foot in a tantrum when they are two.

The problem is when we are 42 and we are still throwing

tantrums and fits and egg and we OK the what in our attitude.

Maybe it's not on a Tescos floor on the shop floor.

Maybe we're not throwing a tantrum rolling on the floor and

in a shop in Tescos, but our attitude, our words, what we

text, what we speak on the phone when we don't get our way, when

we mutter our attitudes. OK, so that is how the fresh

because listen the feelings. Because if the feelings is our

boss, it limits our life because feelings don't always tell the

truth. And that's why I love that song

and I was Larry. It's like chasing off the

feelings because feelings, I don't feel like going to work

today. I don't feel like praying.

I don't feel like worrying about.

I don't feel like showing up. I don't.

Feelings don't always tell the truth.

And that is the danger of wet feelings lead your life.

And so the flesh is this big tighter.

I've seen this in foreign countries, coming from Africa,

where a big tighter does not negotiate with the people.

It's not a democracy. A dictator comes in and wants to

rule everything, wants to rule the people, rule everything.

That's a dictator. That's why the Bible talks about

in a New Testament about the dictates of the flesh.

That's what the flesh will dictate.

Get angry. Now get that at that person.

Go, go, go. Give that.

Tell them off. That's the flesh.

The more we do it, the more we strengthen the flesh.

The more we stop the flesh, the more we grow the Spirit.

So that's why the dictator wants to be in charge.

He wants to be the boss and the people, they cannot just vote

enough. The people actually have to come

and rise up and overthrow him, dethroning from the throne, from

power. And the same with the flesh in

our lives. At some point in our lives we

have to dig in our heels and say enough is enough.

Flesh, you are not the boss of me anymore.

Anger, the last pride. You are not the boss of me

anymore. You are not my leader anymore.

Come on, somebody say flesh, you are not the boss of me anymore.

Yeah, I will live a spirit LED life.

I will walk in the spirit. Yeah, that's the life.

Living in the spirit. That's the decision we did.

OK, so Romans 8, it tells us that if we live according to the

flesh, we will die. OK, Dreams will die.

If we live according to the flesh, relationship will

struggle. If you live in the flesh, it

will affect the family, the flesh.

It will destroy the families we see.

OK, well let me just show it to you.

It says Romans 8 for if you live according to the flesh, you will

die. But if by the Spirit you put to

death now just stop there because I want to show you that.

So if you live flesh, you will find.

So relationships will struggle, purpose will be delayed, dreams

will die, joy can be lost. OK, so that's what it talks

about. But then the next verse gives us

hope. And I love the very next verse

because it says this. It says bad.

If by the Spirit you put to Dave the beast of the body you will

love, there's our answer. It's by the Spirit, not by Mike,

not by Wilpon, but by the Spirit.

That is not by trying harder. It's by the Spirit.

And I love that that we are not alone fighting this battle with

being with a it's by the Spirit when we walk in the spirit.

The more you walk in the spirit, you are putting to D-Day you

crucifying the flesh. That's why Paul says I die

daily. Paul's in the spirit walking in

the spirit. That's how you die daily.

When you go, you walk in the spirit, the more you crucify and

multiply the flesh, because if you're going to be in the

spirit, you cannot get it for all the lust of the place.

You can only be in in the one of them, the two natures.

OK, and so somebody's desperately now the Bible talks

about 3 enemies every question, everybody three enemies, wealthy

sister, devil, flesh. These are three enemies.

Now you say which one is the greatest battle of the world?

The system is outdoor, the devil, but the flesh is

different. There was many times to blame

the devil when it's really our flesh.

People say, oh, the devil might be.

If we're really honest, it was not.

No, not the devil. OK, let's not blame it.

It was not the devil. Might you do it?

It was our attitude, our cravings, our pride, our last,

our flesh, our choices. Hey, it's our choice.

See, this is a battle within. That's what I said from the

beginning. This is the greatest battle, you

know? Yeah, he's the one living.

OK. And so The thing is that

Deliverance Ministry this not Deliverance Monastery to remove

the flesh. Oh, OK, I'm not against the

devilish ministry. Thank God for the Liberals

ministry and thank God casting our devils and demons of OK,

there's no deliverance ministry to remove the flesh.

If it was a devil, it was a demon.

We'd cast it out. We'll rebuke it.

You can cast out the devil, you can cast out demons, but we

cannot cast out our flesh. We can't.

Cars have the place. Many people.

Oh, people. It's take all stuff.

Oh, hang on. Flesh.

Give the credit. Way too much credit.

Can we just hear that? Is that true?

So true, So true. Blame it on there.

It's flesh. So what I'm saying here is

Bible, I'm showing you the Scripture.

I'm showing you for the Bible what God says, what Paul the

apostle, what needs to be preached that we understand to

deal with. What's really the culprits is

our own flesh that needs to be crucified and mortified and get

off the front is the flesh is your attitude.

It's very easy to put the blame on others when we really need to

man up and say, OK, no, I'm going to actually humble myself

and I'm going to surrender this lust, this pornography, this

fleshly desires. I'm actually going to just

repent and just say shall we and surrender it and bring it under

the leadership of the only spirits.

Come on, shall body walk in the spirit?

Because it's so simple when you crucify the flesh, when you

modify the flesh. This is all throughout the

Bible. You can just go and just do a

search of all the scriptures. You'll be amazed how many

scriptures where just walks about in the book of Romans and

it says when you walk in this spirit, you will not fulfill the

lust of the flesh. That's the answer.

Come on, listen, let me put it up here for you so that we can

see this. It says Galatians 516 walk in

the spirit, and you shall not fulfill the last of the flesh.

So when you walk in the in the spirit, what you do is you're

starving the flesh. And so every time you say no to

the flesh, you starve. When you say no to the, you

starve it. Every time you say no, you walk

away from temptation. You're starving it.

You're starving that fleshly nature.

And so that is good news because you don't have to follow every

credit. You don't have to follow and

repeat the same patterns. And you can walk free.

And so as we close, yeah, it comes together.

This is where the battle turns. OK, Victory comes when wheat

yield. Yes, awesome.

Victory comes and we surrender and we yield to our leader, our

new leader. This when we yield to the Spirit

and we say Spirit, Holy Spirit, leave me in my choices, in my

thoughts, leave me in my everyday life.

That's the victory. That's where we walk into the

victory because yes, the war is real.

I've showed you scripture of the scripture of the scripture about

the war in within us. And so, but your victory is

real. So is your victory.

OK. Now we are not fighting for

victory. We are fighting for victory

because Jesus on the cross, he overcome and he won on the

cross, the grave is empty, OK? And so the same spirit, OK, that

lives in you, that raised Jesus from the dead, now lives on the

inside of you. And that spirit and lives in you

is greater and is stronger. And so victory follows.

I mean, somebody, OK? And so because the Spirit of God

is in you now, the habit can work, the fear can bow, the

anger can lose its grip, the shame can lift, that old pattern

can come down because the Spirit of God lives on the inside of

you, that greater power working on the inside of you.

And so you are not powerless, you're not helpless, you're not

stuck, OK? You are not who you used to be.

You are not your anger. You are not your addiction.

You are not your post. You are born again.

You are a new creation, OK? It's filled with the Spirit of

God. And so now the Spirit of God is

your new leader and the new leader.

Now the spirit rules. Now the spirit rules.

The spirit leads you. Now the spirit empowers now and

because there's a new leader leading you, walking in the

spirit victory is yours. Winning the war within, can you

say? I mean somebody, OK?

And so this is your moment to make up your mind and to make a

decision that the war within will not defeat me.

The spirit within will empower me.

It empowers, OK and so in a nutshell, feed this spirit,

starve the flesh, walk in the spirit.

You will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

You will win the war and you'll become everything that God has

created you. Amen.

Let's all stand together. Hallelujah.

Right now, let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart and ask

yourself honestly, where is the flesh still trying to lead me?

Where is the flesh? Lead me in thy thoughts or my

habits, my private life, relationships, because this is

about freedom. What God reveals, He wants to

heal. So maybe there's an area in your

life that the Holy Spirit is putting his finger on today.

Surrender it. So surrender it.

Just, you know, if it's an anger, just surrender it.

If it's an addiction, surrender it.

Pride, lay down. But it's a nice release it.

Forgive that person if it's an offense, if it's fear, just give

it to Jesus. You don't have to carry what

Jesus has already carried. So if you are saying, pastor, I

don't want my flesh to lead me anymore.

I don't want my flesh to be the boss of me anymore.

I don't want my flesh to be in charge, but I want the Holy

Spirit to lead me. I want the Holy Spirit to lead

me in my marriage, in my family, in my career, in my everyday

life. I want the Holy Spirit to lead

me. If that is you just raise your

hands right now between you and God and it's not just lifting

hand, you are making a decision. You say, Holy Spirit, I want you

to lead me. I want to live a spirit full

life. I want every wherever you go, I

want you to lead me. Now put your hand on your heart

and let's pray. Holy Spirit, I pray that you

just come and move and lead us. Every person, Lord, I pray right

now that is responded to you. Lord, I pray that the fresh fire

will fall and that you will break every stronghold, every

cycle, every pattern that has held people back.

Lord, for those that will feel weary from the battle, I pray

for bring strength. Those who feel stuck, release

freedom. Those who feel weak, release

power. Holy Spirit, help us to walk in

the Spirit. Lord, help us to choose life

every day. And Lord, we declare freedom

over every every life here in this place.

Every person. We declare breakthrough, we

declare a new beginning. We declare that this the Spirit

fault life will live in the freedom that you have called

them, that they would win the war within.

And I prayed in the mighty name of Jesus.

Now say this with me. I am led by the Spirit.

I'm not ruled by my flesh. The flesh may be loud, but the

Spirit is stronger. I feed my faith.

I starve my flesh. I walk in victory for the power

of Holy Spirit. I am victorious.

I am winning a war within in Jesus mighty name.

Come on, give God some praise. So for those who've never made a

commitment to follow Christ, this is your invitation.

Maybe you're trying to find life's battles on your own right

now. I want to give you an

opportunity. Jesus is calling you into new

life. So if you want to give your life

to Christ and receive forgiveness, I just want you to

very quickly just flick up your hand right now or you just want

to rededicate your heart. You want to come back to God.

You just want to come close to God right now.

So just lift up your hand, everybody, right now, pray out

loud, say Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord of my

Savior. I repent of my sins, come into

my heart. I give you my life.

Hallelujah. Come on, let's celebrate.

Hit by some cries somebody. So let's put that somehow and

again lead me. That's OK because I really feel

it's anointing from me. So let's pray.

I brought everybody just to take hands with the person right next

to you. Father, I thank you for in this

corporate anointing. Lord, I pray that as we gather

together, we've heard your words, Lord, that by your grace

and by your mercy, Lord, that we will step into a spirit LED

life. Lord, I thank you that whatever

is trying to hold people back, I pray that that will break today,

that there will be a shift from the flesh into the spirit, that

the spirit will grow, the spirit will be strengthened right now

and in a man. Lord, that the flesh die daily,

right now, crucified and mortified.

Lord, every dictator of the flesh, every fleshly, every

crave of the fleshly desire, we cancel, break every chain of the

enemy, every right now. Lord, we thank you that you

remove right now any hindrance. Lord, to hearing the voice of

God, open ears, open hearts in the name of Jesus.

Lord, I cover your people with the blood of Jesus.

And I pray this morning right now for a fresh inferring of the

Holy Ghost. Lord that people walk out of

this place full of the power, full of the Spirit, full of you.

Lord, full baptism of the holy goes on power.

Now release it right now. In the name of Jesus, pour it

out. Lord, be released.

Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, touch, move freely right now.

Follow every heart, every mind. Father, I pray in the name of

Jesus, Holy Spirit, fall. Holy Spirit, come and rest upon

us. Rest upon your people.

Lord, let them be empowered, let them be strengthened and in a

man in the name of Jesus. And we thank you.

And we say, Spirit, lead us, lead us, lead us.

Leaders. Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, wolf,

right now raise your hands to heaven.

Everybody raise your hands. Lord, I pray for heaven

invasion. Heavens come, heaven's glory,

police further come, break up reckless touch, heal, strengthen

and going with fresh will, fresh fire in the name of Jesus, fresh

fire, fresh fire. Holy Spirit, fall Holy Spirit

power, Holy Spirit Spirit, right now, cry out to God, cry out to

God. Then he baptize you with the

Holy Ghost and fire. Hallelujah, Jesus is in this

place and he's baptizing you with fresh fire, with the fresh

fire, fresh fire. Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord,

Lord, Lord, now, now, now, now. In the name of Jesus.

That's right, right, right. Cry out, you cry out.

You Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, empower your people

to win the war within, to overcome the flesh in the name

of Jesus. Thank you, Paul.

What the power of Holy Ghost. What the power of Holy Ghost.

In the name of Jesus, empower your people to win the world,

the world victorious in this photo, same price and that will

not fulfill the last of the flesh.

Oh, the pride of life, the last of the eyes.

My God, we surrender that we gimmick.

We want to fire it up before you.

In the name of Jesus, crucify the flesh, crucify the flesh.

Crucify every addiction, every fleshly credited, every sense,

every fleshly desire, the gratification of the flesh.

Not now crucified principle. In the name of Jesus, let it

die. Like Paul says, I dies daily.

We can't in the cross tailing in the name of Jesus right now.

Every flesh died, and this further comes to life in the

body name of Jesus.
