  1. Look, good morning everyone. This is post them met here and today we're

  2. going to recovery of day number ten of the u turn past and prayers,

  3. and the scripture they will be covering is going to be from Matthew chapter twenty

  4. one, and we're going to read from verse one to verse eleven. Hey,

  5. in verse one, it says, now, when they drew near to

  6. Jerusalem and came to back page at the amount of olives, then Jesus sent

  7. two disciples, saying to them, go into the village opposite you, and

  8. immediately you will find a donkey tide and a cult with her. Lose them

  9. and bring them to me. And if anyone says anything to you, you

  10. shall say the Lord has need of them, and immediately he will send them

  11. all they was done, then it may be fulfilled which was spoken by the

  12. prophet saying, tell the daughter of Zion, behold, your king is coming

  13. to you slowly and sitting on the dormy the court, and the fowl of

  14. a donkey. So the disciples were a bit as Jesus commanded them. They

  15. brought the donkey the court, laid their clothes on them, and set him

  16. on them, and a very great multitude spread the clothes on the road.

  17. Others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. And

  18. then the multitudes who went before and those who found the cried out, saying,

  19. Hosanna to the son of David, Blessed is he who comes in the

  20. name of the Lord Hosannah in the highest. And when he had come into

  21. Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying who is this? So multitude

  22. said, this is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth Galilee. Right, So

  23. a bit of context and introduction. Jesus was actually coming from the east,

  24. having passed the river Jordan, and he was ascending up to a past amount

  25. of all this coming to back page and droving to Jerusalem from me is signed.

  26. Now, what was the calendar or the day that this when all of

  27. this was happening. It was actually on the palm Sunday, okay, And

  28. not just on the palm Someday. It was actually during happening during the fees

  29. now in the week of the past over okay. And more specifically, it

  30. was on the tenth of Nissan. Okay, it's spelled s sa and but

  31. then does not mean it's a Nissan car Okay. Nissan is actually the month

  32. that the Hebrews use. Okay. So let's read a bit of an old

  33. scripture here, from turning me to Exodus, paying the Book of Exodus,

  34. chapter twelve, verse three, okay, and then we'll have a better understanding

  35. of what this actually meet. Okay. And so this chapter twelve, verse

  36. three says speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, on the tenth

  37. of this month, every man shall take for himself a lamb according to the

  38. house of his father, a lamb or a household. Okay. So so

  39. the chapter twelve we meet him on the tenth of this Nissan month. What

  40. were the Jews called to do as preparation for the past? Of them?

  41. There were to choose earth lamb for their house Okay. They were to choose

  42. a lamp on the first day okay, and then that lamb will be set

  43. upont set asign, to be sacrificed and to be eaten on the fifty Okay.

  44. Now, there's no coincidences in the Bible, Okay. When Jesus entered

  45. into Jerusalem, what's happening on the palm someday? The say same day that

  46. every household in in Uh, in Israel, in Jerusalem, every household is

  47. preparing to choose a lamp. Okay, and who did God choose for his

  48. own house? Jesus. Jesus is the lamb of God. God has prepared

  49. a lamp for himself and for his people. While everybody is so busy choosing,

  50. God has chosen one, and he has brought his land to his house

  51. in Jerusalem. And Jesus is actually walking into Jerusalem at the same time.

  52. And the thing is, Jesus is the lamp who willingly went into Jerusalem.

  53. He wasn't the force. He wasn't. He wasn't he knew that he was

  54. chosen, but he was the chosen one. And he walked willingly into the

  55. Father's south, into into Jerusalem, knowing what is going to happen to him.

  56. Okay. So that's the first thing that you know, we realize,

  57. you know, quite significantly as well now. And it says here in Matthew

  58. chapter twenty one, verse uh uh verse to the sayings that Jesus told them

  59. to go into the village uh. And then they will find a donkey and

  60. the cult and the courte type of her to lose them and to bring it

  61. to him, because you know, how did Jesus He knows because it actually

  62. is being prophesied as well. And so as they did, you know,

  63. as the disciples obeyed him, what came into their mind? Scripture? Scripture

  64. came into their mind. You know, the Jews at the time they memorize

  65. the scriptures of all they remember the scriptures. And as they did it,

  66. you know, they remember the scripture they come from. That comes from Zachariah

  67. chapter nine, verse nine, that says, what rejoice greatly, old daughter

  68. of science, shout, our daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king is

  69. coming to you. He is just and having salvation, slowly and riding on

  70. the donkey, the colt the fall of a donkey. Now let's continue reading.

  71. Okay, to where our adverse tend in birse thing. He says,

  72. our cut off the chariot from Afrom and the horse from Jerusalem, and the

  73. battle bowl shall be cut off. He shall speak peace to the nations.

  74. His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the river to the

  75. ends of the earth. Now my question is this, what does Jesus sitting

  76. on the donkey actually signify. Okay, the first thing we will we will

  77. notice that it's donkey. It's not a horse. Okay, So donkey must

  78. represent humanity. And that is true because isaachar Ryer say said, you know,

  79. and riding on donkey, Jesus is not desperate for attention. He's not

  80. crying out for attention. He doesn't need that attention. He is walking because

  81. he has been chosen. He's working like he's going into Jerusalem and entering into

  82. jerasalem in obedience. Okay. Now, the second thing we should notice,

  83. as you know about the donkey, is that you must understand kings their right

  84. two types of animal. Generally, they kings they write two types of animals.

  85. The first animal they ride normally is a horse. Take a horse.

  86. It's not just any horse. And there's a symbolism behind the horse. The

  87. horse that they ride on is called a war horse. When the king rides

  88. on the horse, he's actually signifying that they are going to more. Okay,

  89. they are going into with a mission to conquer, to have dominion.

  90. Kay uncle, and and don't mean it now, so it's talking about when

  91. when when a king rides on a horse, it's a season for war.

  92. The second type of animal that a king writes on is a donkey. The

  93. king doesn't write a donkey outside of his pack, outside of his city and

  94. into other nations. The king, when he wants to meet his people and

  95. to declare peace, to make peace, for people, to get to know

  96. the people, he writes on a lowly donkey to come down to the level

  97. of the people. Okay. And this is what Jesus was doing. Okay,

  98. he was what he was. He was riding on donkey because it is

  99. the time and season for peace. Jesus is coming to make peace, not

  100. to bring war, not yet, okay, but so the first time that

  101. Jesus comes to earth, Okay, he is coming as well, not as

  102. a conquering king, although everyone else was expecting him to. Okay, Jesus

  103. is coming not as a conquering king, but he is coming as a servant

  104. king. He is coming as a prince of peace. Okay. He's coming

  105. to serve and he's coming to bring peace. Now, this kind of mission

  106. and purpose is totally the opposite from what the crowds were expecting. Yes,

  107. they were welcoming him. Yes, they were celebrating the king, the son

  108. of Davy. You know they were expecting him. What they were expecting expecting

  109. him to be a conquering king to drive out in the Jerusalem, to drive

  110. out the enemies and the Romans from Jerusalem. They were wanting and expecting for

  111. a conquering king to redeem them. They think that they were in their minds

  112. the enemy were the Romans and the Jews. But Jesus has come to tell

  113. them that that is not the enemy. The enemy is not the Romans.

  114. The great enemy is seen and death. Okay. And Jesus has come.

  115. It's not as a conquering but as a prince of peace, as a servant

  116. king to one so that he may come to be the sacrificial lamb, to

  117. pay the price that we all could not pay, to be the perfect lamb

  118. that could not be found in the entire Okay. So Jesus came to bring

  119. peace. By paying the price, men can receive and can make peace with

  120. our Father in heaven, and can make peace with one another, peace on

  121. earth, in peace with our Father in heaven. Okay. So there is

  122. the objective of Jesus to bring peace. There is what we need more than

  123. anything else. Okay. That is why he was writing on the donkey.

  124. That is why he's entering to be chosen as the lamb of God. But

  125. the people couldnot understand it. That is why when you read a verse nine

  126. when psychondritage of the numbers nine, the verse nine talks about Jesus coming riding

  127. on a donkey. But in verse ten, what what did God say?

  128. God says, our cut off the chariots from Afron out and the horses,

  129. and our break the battleballs. What God is saying is that this is not

  130. a season for war. That is why when when it's not a season for

  131. work, you put away all the weapons. You take away, you repurpose

  132. the horses, you repurpose the weapons of war for other purpose, for a

  133. season of peace, for farming, for everything else. That's what God is

  134. talking about. It's not the time for them. They will come another time

  135. for it. Okay, this is it's actually prophetic, you know. Okay,

  136. So now this is the partner. And so I talked. I talked

  137. about about about the part where Jesus walking into as a donkey. Then the

  138. second part. Then as we're coming to it, you know, as he

  139. enters into Jerusalem, the people were crying Hosanna to the son of devid Le's

  140. is he who comes in the name more Hosanna in the highest and then people

  141. around them were confused because you know, it's like, who is who is

  142. welcoming him? Who is this king? Give me annoying him? You know,

  143. the people saying, this is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of gality.

  144. People were getting excited. And you must understand that at that time in

  145. Jerusalem, it's expected to be the number of people that were at that time

  146. impossible work expected to be around two point five million people of crowded in that

  147. very small place. Two point five million people, so many of them product

  148. and you know, and and and you can imagine the amount of excitement,

  149. the amount of crowd activity, and the people were pressing against one of them,

  150. and the type of uproad, and it was generated generating in the city

  151. as well. So okay uh and but a lot of them are going to

  152. be so disappointed. But those who are spiritual as will see and understand that

  153. everything that Jesus has done, everything that Jesus is to fure, was always

  154. in the chordance with this cripture. So when we read this, my question

  155. is how should we feel. What is the message that God is trying to

  156. teach us? And to convey to us. As we read about this prophetic

  157. fulfillment of Jesus, the lesson that we all should be getting is that we

  158. must understand that God is faithful. God is faithful to the detail. God

  159. is sovereign. God is sovereign that in every single you know, despite men

  160. wanting a different type of thing, okay, despite men wanting a certain way

  161. of you know, things to happen in this world, God continues his own

  162. plan. So the question is are we in God's plan or are we in

  163. the plans of men? Now it's a very very important question. Jesus was

  164. not sway. Jesus was not distracted or deterred by the plans of men on

  165. the expectations of men. He was always focused on the plans and the purposes

  166. of the Father. And we are self we have to ask this question as

  167. well. Sometimes, you know, when this past the player, we get

  168. very affected, you know, our prayer points, our fasting gets affected by

  169. our circumstances, by people around us as well. But when we fast and

  170. pray, we have to ask this question, God, what is this season

  171. that you're trying to tell us? What should I be focusing on? What

  172. should I be listening to Am I even really hearing your voice in this season?

  173. When I say that, oh, I really feel God is speaking to

  174. me. Is that really you God speaking to me? Or is it our

  175. flesh? Or is it the idols? Or is it our dessires that we

  176. have elevated to become the gods in our lives. So we've got to be

  177. very careful, went on. Do not let the crowds, not let the

  178. expectations, do not let your circumstances dictate the spiritual war. But you've got

  179. to be a very focused so that we step instead in alignment with God's perfect

  180. will. Okay, As the last part, I draw, Now you really

  181. turned with me to Revelations, chapter nineteen, verse eleven to verse sixteen,

  182. he says. Here verse Revelations, chapter nineteen, verse eleven, he says,

  183. and now I saw heaven open and behold a white horse, And he

  184. kept the hatred He means meaning Jesus. He who sat on him was called

  185. faithful and true, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes

  186. were like a flame of fire, and on his head for many crowns.

  187. He had a name written that no one knew except himself. So I told

  188. you Jesus. For the first time that Jesus came to earth, what he

  189. came as as a servant king, as the prince of peace, the lamb

  190. of God. But the second time when he comes, he's gonna come as

  191. a conquerring king. And what animals do kings see when they come? A

  192. horse, a white horse, and a war horse. He comes to judge,

  193. he comes to make war. He will separate the lamb and the God,

  194. and his eyes like a flame of fire, will see through everything and

  195. every deceit of men. Okay, and all the kings of the earth,

  196. every every high every man in their high places of authority will have to declare

  197. that he is the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and the

  198. acknowledge that he rules over every man and every nation of every dominion. Amen.

  199. So that they will come. People don't know, they discourage. One

  200. day Jesus is gonna come again. One day he will avenge. One day

  201. he's going to bring like he's going to be justice, is going to bring

  202. righteousness, true and true and to end, and on that they will see

  203. him in his glory and on his white horse. Hope, you guys are

  204. blessed enjoy the rest of the heart and prayer. See you again. By

  205. everybody is so busy choosing. God has chosen one, and he has brought

  206. his land to his house in Jerusalem, and Jesus is actually walking into Jerusalem

  207. at the same time. And the thing is, Jesus is the lamb who

  208. willingly went into Jerusalem. He wasn't the force. He wasn't. He wasn't

  209. he knew that he was chosen, but he was the chosen one, and

  210. he walked willingly into the Father's south, into into Jerusalem, knowing what is

  211. going to happen to him. Okay, so that's the first thing that you

  212. know, we realize, you know, quite significantly as well. Now and

  213. at the says here in Matthew chapter twenty one, verse verse two, the

  214. sayings that Jesus told them to go into the village, uh, and then

  215. they will find a donkey and a cult. And the court tied with her

  216. to lose them and to bring it to him, because you know, how

  217. did Jesus He knows because he actually is been prophesied as well. And so

  218. as they did, you know, as the disciples obeyed him, what came

  219. into their mind. Scripture scripture came into their mind. You know, the

  220. Jews at that time they memorize their scriptures. Of all, they remember their

  221. scriptures, and as they did it, you know, they remember the scripture

  222. they come from. That comes from Zachariah chapter nine, verse nine, that

  223. says one, rejoice greatly, old daughter of Science, shout, old daughter

  224. of Jerusalem. Behold, your king is coming to you. He is just

  225. and having salvation. Slowly and writing on the donkey court the fall of a

  226. donkey. Now let's continue reading. Okay, to our adverse tend In first

  227. thing, he says, our cut off the chariot from Afroam, and the

  228. horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bowl shall be cut off. He shall

  229. speak peace to the nations. His dominion shall be from sea to sea,

  230. and from the river to the ends of the earth. Now my question is

  231. what does Jesus sitting on the donkey actually signify. Okay, the first thing

  232. we will we will notice is that it's donkey. It's not a horse.

  233. Okay, So donkey must represent humanity. That is true because Zacharier says that

  234. you know, slowly and riding on donkey, Jesus is not desperate for attention.

  235. He's not crying out for attention. He doesn't need that attention. He

  236. is walking because he has been chosen. He's walking his he's going into Jerusalem

  237. and entering into Jerusalem in obedience. Okay. Now, the second thing we

  238. should notice, as you know about the donkey, is that you must understand

  239. kings their right two types of animal. Generally, the kings the right two

  240. types of animals. The first animal they ride normally is a horse. Okay,

  241. a horse. It's not just any horse. And there's a symbolism behind

  242. the horse. The horse that they ride on is called a war horse.

  243. When the king rides on the horse, he's actually signifying then they are going

  244. to war. Okay, they are going into with a mission to conquer,

  245. to have dominion. Okay, to conquer and dominion. Now, so it's

  246. talking about when when when a king rides on a horse, it's a season

  247. for war. The second type of animal that a king writes on is a

  248. donkey. A king doesn't write a donkey outside of his pack, outside of

  249. his city and into other nations. The king when he wants to meet his

  250. people and to declare peace, to make peace, for people, to get

  251. to know the people, he writes on a lowly donkey to come down to

  252. the level of the people. Okay, And this is what Jesus was doing.

  253. Okay, he was, he was He was riding on donkey because it

  254. is the time and season four peace. Jesus is coming to make peace,

  255. not to bring war, not yet, okay, but so the first time

  256. that Jesus comes to earth. Okay, he is coming as well, not

  257. as a conquering king, although everyone else was expecting him to. Hey,

  258. Jesus is coming not as a conquering king, but he is coming as a

  259. servant king. He is coming as a prince of peace. Okay. He's

  260. coming to serve and he's coming to bring peace. Now, this kind of

  261. mission and purpose is totally the opposite from what the crowds were expecting. Yes,

  262. they were welcoming him. Yes, they were celebrating the king, the

  263. son of Davy. You know, they were expecting him from what they were

  264. expecting, expecting him to be a conquering king to drive out into Jerusalem,

  265. to drive out the enemies and the Romans from Jerusalem. They were wanting and

  266. expecting for a conquering king to redeem them. They think that they were in

  267. their minds. The enemy were the Romans and the Jews. But Jesus has

  268. come to tell them them that's not the enemy. The enemy is not the

  269. Romans. The greater enemy is sin and death. Okay. And Jesus has

  270. come. It's not as conquering him, but as the prince of peace,

  271. as a servant king to what so that he may come to be the sacrificial

  272. lambage, to pay the price that we all could not pay, to be

  273. the perfect lamb that could not be found in the entire lilm. Okay.

  274. So Jesus came to bring peace. By paying the price, men can receive

  275. and can make peace with our Father in heaven, and can make peace with

  276. one another, peace on earth, in peace with our Father in heaven.

  277. Okay. So there is the objective of Jesus to bring peace. There is

  278. what we needed more than anything else. Okay. That is why he was

  279. riding on the donkey. That is why he's entering to be chosen as the

  280. lamb of God. But the people couldnot understand it. That is why when

  281. you read a verse nine, when second Writague of the numbers nine, the

  282. first nine talks about Jesus coming riding on a donkey. But in verse ten,

  283. what did God say? God says, our cud of the chariots from

  284. Apron, out in the horses, and our break the battleballs. What God

  285. is saying is that this is not a season for war. That is why

  286. when it's when it's not a season for work, you put away all the

  287. weapons, you take away, you repurpose the horses, You repurpose the weapons

  288. of war for other purpose, for a season of peace, for farming,

  289. for everything else. That's what God is talking about. It's not the time

  290. for them. You will come another time for it. Okay, this is

  291. it's actually prophetic, you know. Okay, So now this is the part.

  292. And so I talked I talked about about about the part where Jesus walking

  293. into as a donkey. Then the second part. Then as we're coming to

  294. you know, as if he enters into Jerusalem, the people were crying,

  295. Hosannah to the son of Devid, Bless is he who comes in the name

  296. of the Hosannah in the highest And then people around them were confused because you

  297. know, it's like, who is who is welcoming him? Who is this

  298. king? Give me annoying him? You know, the people saying this is

  299. Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of galling. People will getting excited. And

  300. you must understand that at that time in Jerusalem's expected to be the number of

  301. people that were at that time impossible world expected to be around two point five

  302. million people crowded in that very small place. Two point five million people,

  303. so many of them product and you know, and you can imagine the amount

  304. of excitement, the amount of crowd activity, and the people were pressing against

  305. one of them, and the type of uproad it was generated, generating in

  306. the city as well. So okay uh. And but a lot of them

  307. are going to be so disappointed. But those who are spiritual as will see

  308. and understand that everything that Jesus has done, everything that Jesus is for fure,

  309. was always in the chordance with this future. So when we read this,

  310. my question is how should we what is the message that God is trying

  311. to teach us and to convey to us As we read about this prophetic fulfillment

  312. of Jesus, the lesson that we all should be getting is that we must

  313. understand that God is faithful. God is faithful to the detail, God is

  314. sovereign, God is sovereign that in every single despite men wanting a different type

  315. of play, Okay, despite men wanting a certain way of you know,

  316. things to happen in this world, God continues his own plan. So the

  317. question is are we in God's plan or are we in the plans of men?

  318. You know, it's a very very important question. Jesus was not sway.

  319. Jesus was not distracted or deterred by the plans of men or the expectations

  320. of men. He was always focused on the plans and the purposes of the

  321. Father. And we are subt in we as we have to ask this question

  322. as well. Sometimes, you know, when it's fasting prayer, we get

  323. very affected, you know, our prayer points, our fasting gets affected by

  324. our circumstances, by people around us as well. But when we fast and

  325. pray, we have to ask this question, God, what is this season

  326. that you're trying to tell us? What should I be focusing on? What

  327. should I be listening to? Am I even really hearing your voice in this

  328. season? When I say that, Oh, I really feel God is speaking

  329. to me. Is that really you God speaking to me? Or is it

  330. our flesh? Or is it the idols or is it our dessireist that we

  331. have elevated to become the gods in our lives. So we've got to be

  332. very careful and not do not let the crowds, not let the expectations,

  333. do not let your circumstances dictate your spiritual walk. But you've got to be

  334. very focused so that we want step instead in alignment with God's perfect will.

  335. Pain as the last part I draw. Now he read turned with me to

  336. Revelations chapter nineteen, verse eleven to verse sixteen. He says. Here verse

  337. Revelations, chapter nineteen, verse eleven, he says, and now I saw

  338. heaven open and behold a white horse, and he kepital hatred. He means

  339. meaning Jesus, he who said on him was called faithful and true, and

  340. in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of

  341. fire, and on his head were many crowns. He had a name written

  342. that no one knew except himself. So I told you Jesus for the first

  343. time that Jesus came to earth, for he came as as a servant king,

  344. as the prince of peace, as the lamb of God. But the

  345. second time, when he comes He's going to come as a conquerring king.

  346. And what animal do kings when they come? A horse, a white horse,
