A warm welcome to you all our listeners. My name is Lazarus and I'm
-
from acts, Botswana. I'd like to welcome you today number twenty of our
-
uturen Firsting and Prayer season. I want to congratulate you for making it this
-
far, and I'm sure your life has been blessed and by now you already
-
have many testimonies. If not, I'm confident that God has so many testimonies
-
installed for you. Today's topic is Jesus' resurrection, and we take this from
-
Matthew chapter twenty eight, Versus one to fifteen. The subject of the resurrection
-
of Jesus is a beautiful one and one that sets our faith apart from many
-
other faith that proclaims to be true. I am so glad that Jesus is
-
alive. I'm so glad that Jesus rose up again. I'm so glad that
-
Jesus defeated death and defeated the graaf. In Matthew chapter twenty eighth, verse
-
one to fifteen, we see Mary Magdalene and the Other Mary visiting the tomb
-
of Jesus after he had passed away, only to find out an angel that
-
had descended from heaven right to earth, rolled the stone away, and set
-
on the stone, and told the two marys that Jesus is alive, and
-
you need not to worry. You need not to be afraid, because he
-
is alive, our father, our savior. He is alive, and he
-
is living. So the angel tells the two marries that Jesus is alive.
-
And after that the angel tells the two marries that go your way, and
-
tell his disciples that Jesus is alive. The two marries departed from the tomb
-
on their way, and the Bible tells us with fear and great joy,
-
for they were afraid because the of the angel they had seen was so marvelous
-
and so glorious that it brought godly fear to them, while at the same
-
time they were filled with great joy knowing that their savior is alive, knowing
-
that Jesus is alive again, and they went their way. As they went
-
towards the disciples, they met Jesus on the way. Jesus himself, Jesus
-
in flesh, fully alive, defeated death, and the Bible tells us that
-
the two women they worshiped him. They stopped and worshiped Jesus such a marvelous
-
moment. It is a moment that is coming from the back end of a
-
terrible time, when their savior had been crucified, when Jesus had been nailed
-
on the cross, when Jesus had been killed and assassinated by the ruling a
-
lid of the day. Yet year is a beautiful moment where their Savior is
-
alive. The Bible tells us that they spent time worshiping Jesus at his feats,
-
just spending time in worship because they are Savior was alive, And such
-
a beautiful moment that you and I get to worship a God that is alive,
-
our God, as we say it, he ain't no silver near hanging
-
on the wall. He is real, He's living, and he's living inside
-
of us. So the two women worship Jesus at the feet. The Bible
-
tells us that Jesus then commanded them to go and tell his disciples that he
-
is truly alive. He has resurrected, he has defeated death. He the
-
tomb is empty, he is no longer bound by the shackles of death.
-
He has let them loose. He has defeated death, and he is alive,
-
and while they were going their way to the disciples, having encountered both
-
the Angel and Jesus. The Bible tells us that on the other side of
-
things, there was a meeting with the gods and the chief and the elders
-
of the ruling elite as they come together to devise a plan to speak false
-
news. In fact, they decided and said, we will give you money
-
to the gods, and please tell people that the Disciples came and stole the
-
body of Jesus. And this is the reality of the times we live in
-
where there is so much fake news, but that can never overcome the good
-
news. And the good news is that our Savior is alive. And I
-
just want to give you and encourage you with just three points as we get
-
into the devotion of today, as we look into jesus resurrection. Point number
-
one is that our God is alive. What does that mean to say our
-
God is alive? When we say Jesus is alive, it means that your
-
prayer, my prayer is not falling on death ears. It means when we
-
speak, we speak to a God who years, we speak to a God
-
who addswers. What does it mean that Jesus is alive. When Jesus Love
-
is alive, it means that you and I have a hope, have a
-
future. And Jesus has paid the price for us. We no longer have
-
to pay that price. He has paid the price for us. He has
-
gone to the cross for us. That means though we may die in flesh
-
on earth, we will live again as long as we are in Christ.
-
Jesus. So, our God is alive. And I just want to encourage
-
you no matter what you're going through, you save a God that is living.
-
And if God can defeat death, you can defeat your sickness. If
-
God can defeat death, you can defeat your tough times. If Jesus can
-
rise back up from the dead, surely he can resurrect your marriage. If
-
Jesus can defeat death, surely he can resurrect your health. He can resurrect
-
your business, he can resurrect your career. Maybe you're feeling courage that work.
-
I just want to challenge you that if Jesus can defeat death, surely
-
you can overcome depression. Surely you can overcome any challenge you're facing. Because
-
we know that it is no longer I who live as poses, but Christ
-
that lives in me, and if Jesus lives in us, we've got power
-
to defeat the enemy of today. And point number two is go and tell
-
everyone, Go and tell everyone you see jesus resurrection gives us the power and
-
the authority to go and share with everyone what it means to have a God
-
who is alive. As we go through this year, we know the theme
-
of the year is that all may know, and all may know that Jesus
-
is alive. All may know that Jesus defeated death. All may know that
-
we live in God. All may know that if Jesus is alive, you
-
and I are alive in Christ. You and I have hope. You and
-
I are not condemned anymore. You and I have a hope. You and
-
I are forgiven. And go and tell everyone. I want to challenge you
-
today as you go on with your day Number twenty of prayer and firsting,
-
find someone to tell about Jesus. Find someone to tell her, to tell
-
the story of Jesus. To tell somebody about how Jesus was crucified on the
-
cross for you and I. He died on the cross so that you and
-
I can be forgiven of our things, that you and I can have our
-
relationship with the further restored by the act of Jesus on the cross. But
-
don't let the story end there, because the story of Jesus ends with Jesus
-
coming back up to life, ends with Jesus defeating death. And everybody,
-
and I mean everybody, needs to know that Jesus is alive. Jesus says,
-
Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is the only truth,
-
and he is the life. No one else comes to the Father except
-
through Jesus. Imagine if Jesus didn't come there to a lot to life,
-
but thank God, he came back to life. And because he is alive,
-
we can come to the Father. We will then come to the Father
-
boldly. We can come to the Father with such great boldness, knowing that
-
our Jesus defeated death. So tell somebody, find somebody at work, somebody
-
at your company, somebody at home, somebody in your streets, somebody in
-
your phone book, somebody in your family, and tell them so that all
-
may know that Jesus is alive. Not only is he a life, but
-
that he's waking in you and he's doing a new thing in you. Behold,
-
he's doing a new thing in you, Isaiah says, will you not
-
perceive it? He will even make a way where there seems to be no
-
way. I just want to challenge your friends that today tells somebody about Jesus.
-
Tell somebody about the testimony you hold and you have dearly about Jesus.
-
Point number three. We read from Matthew twenty eight, between verse one to
-
verse fifteen, that the gods were telling a different story, but the two
-
mayors were mandated with telling the right story, which is the good news.
-
In the age we live in, there's so much information. Many of it
-
is fact, many of it is not true. I just want to challenge
-
us as believers to carry the good news. Not just consume the good news,
-
but share the good news. Not just share, but share what is
-
true. I pray we will have boldness to speak the truth in love to
-
our friends, our family, and everyone around us. Share the good news
-
of Jesus Christ. Share the good news of what Jesus has done. I
-
pray, friends, that you are encouraged. I want to leave you with
-
a question to ponder one as you finish Day number twenty. What does it
-
mean? When we say Jesus is alive, What does it mean to you,
-
beloved listeners, What does it mean that Jesus is alive? Amen?
-
Amen, Allow me Church to pray for our nation, Malaysia and believe God
-
for revival. I truly believe that God has a plan for Malaysia. God
-
has a plan for East West Malaysia. And I believe that the revival that
-
is about to yeat Southeast Asia and Asia will begin in Malaysia. Let us
-
pray Father with thank you. We thank you that you send your only bigoden
-
son to die for us. We thank you that your son defeated death.
-
We thank you Lord that by your power Jesus is alive again. We are
-
so grateful that we say a living God, and because of our Jesus is
-
alive. The same power that brought Jesus to life is the same power that
-
is within us. For after all, in next chapter one, verse eight,
-
you say it to us, you shall receive power when the holy spiritual
-
has come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses Judea, Jerusalem and
-
all the ends of earth. And I pray Lord that your people will have
-
power and exercise power to ignite and spread revival in Malaysia. Lord, we
-
bless this nation. We pray for the brody of the Body of Christ in
-
Malaysia, that it will come together as one and be used by God for
-
revival. Lord, we pray for salvations in numbers and not just servations.
-
But we pray for sons as well. In the name of Jesus. For
-
that we pray that will have disciples, will stand for what is true,
-
will stand for what is right, will stand for what is godly. Because
-
revival, Lord will come when signs are revealed, when signs rise up.
-
I pray in the name of Jesus, that Lord, there will be the
-
fear of God in the corridors of governance in Malaysia. There will be fear
-
of God in every street. And I pray that Lord, You'll use the
-
sons and daughter's Lord to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to bring revival in
-
the nation. I speak unity in the nation, unity in the Body of
-
Christ, Unity in the government, Unity among the tribes and races of Malaysia.
-
Unity from East South Malaysia, unity from a lost attire to Joho,
-
unity in every state. In the name of Jesus, send your revival,
-
Send your power, send your holygos fire. Let your power and fire fall
-
upon Malaysia in the name of Jesus. Use us as your servants for your
-
glory and for your glory alone. In Jesus' mighty name. I pray and
-
everyone say Amen. Amen. Our dear listeners, thank you so much for
-
listening to this podcast, and I pray you have been encouraged. May your
-
day twenty be nothing short of supernatural and spirit filled. Thank you for listening,
-
and goodbye, blessings. My name is Lazarus Words Again, God bless you.
