The Honour of Brothers

Okay, I'm going to turn you now to the Book

of Genesis and chapter nine. I'm gonna read some verses there.

Genesis nine, We're gonna read from verse twenty. So I

talked about the second Eden that got tried.

And failed. And so the question is where.

Did they go wrong? Where did they go wrong? Let

me read a couple of verses to you again. Noah

began to be a farmer. Is there anything wrong with that? No?

He brother Vina. Is there anything wrong with that?

No?

Then he drank off the wine and was drunk. Is

there anything wrong with that? Maybe? And became uncovered in

his tent. Is anything wrong with that?

I'm not sure because it is in his ten I mean,

he wasn't uncovered in the public.

It was in his own house.

So well, okay, question mark, But I think I can't

say anything wrong with that.

So where did we go wrong?

And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of

his father and told his two brothers outside. But Sham

and Jeffers took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders,

and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father.

Their faces would turn away, and they did not see

their father's nakedness. Noah, the father was drunk and naked. Now,

this may not be the best example, and as fathers,

we want to give the best example, but sometimes we

also may not may not be able. Sometimes sometimes we

even regret, you know, some of the things we said

or the way we said it.

So fathers are not properfect.

But even though this may not be the best example,

it wasn't the worst as well. And there days where

we talk about our fathers as if it was the

worst thing they ever did. The fathers fought to be

naked in his own tent. All the sons fought to

see his father's nakedness and to talk about it with others.

Where with the real sin and he talked with others,

the others were his brothers. And we need to be

careful because that's what's happening in our day and age. UH.

Fathers do sometimes seem like, you know, they're not at

their best, but that's not always the worst case scenario.

UH and sons UH will try to talk to their

brothers and try to get their brother the brothers on

their on their side, hoping that the brothers will feel

the same way that that hammed us. Now, I think

that spoiled God's plans. That that was sin uh and

that's sad. But we have got word to give us

guidance and to give us direction. So let me go

on into the next thing. What was Ham doing in

his father's ten in the first place? Have you ever

asked a question? I mean, his father was naked in

his own tent. I mean I don't want ask the question,

how many of you have been naked in your own tent?

I think it's not rocket science. That is in our

own tent. So we allow people to come into our lives.

You think about it. You know, we involve people, We

trusts them. Right, So how did Ham get into his

father's ten in this first place? Who gave him permission?

How did he get into the inner circle into a

private place. It's a lot of trust, it's a lot

of what's mine is yours? But sometimes the way we

deal with that, it's very important. Why was he given

such trust all because he was a son, or at

least the father thought he was a son?

Yes, what did he do with that trust? Right?

He wouldn't have seen his father nakered if he didn't

have permission to go in the first place. So there

are many people around us who are inner circle because

of trust. Because we love them, we allow.

Them to come in. Now. The reason why I'm talking

to you like.

This now is not because I'm talking about myself as

the father of this, but because all of you will

also be seen as fathers in your own church plan.

I think this honor needs to be taught because usually

the sin that is lurking is lurking among the brothers.

He's not lurking among the fathers. He's looking among the

brothers that talk. And you also with me, So this

is important. The brothers as sons, received trust from the father.

Come in anytime you want to my room. And so

he was found naked. We admit as fathers we sometimes

make mistakes. And I found naked, I e. We have

found weak we have found wanting, we have found vulnerable.

Amen.

I mean, he's good to be honest, and they say

we are not perfect, But that doesn't give our sons

the right to take advantage of.

It, to expose it.

Sometimes we thank god our father also has weakness, or

maybe we just don't understand why he has to do

this or why he has to do that. And then

we go like why and we see our Father in

heaven as naked. We see our Father in heaven as

weak because he did not do this for us, or

he did not do that for us, and then we.

Get angry with him. Haven't we been angry with God before?

I think one way or the other sometimes because we

didn't understand why should he be like that?

Why should he treat us like that?

And so we also sometimes want to expose or concentrate

on our father's weakness. Maybe we just don't understand that

he is actually intrinsically good.

And all that he does is always going to end

up good.

The fear of the Lord that is in us is

careful not to dishonor him even though sometimes we don't

understand him.

Is that truth?

There's a fear of God in us that even though

we want to say something about God that is not good,

we don't. And finally, wisdom and the fear of the

Lord things over and we say that God, even though

I don't understand what you're doing, I trust you to

our father. We say, even though I think you're a

little bit harsh, I know you're good.

You with me. That's how we treat our Father in heaven.

We are careful not to dishonor him, even though we

don't know why he has to do what he does.

So we trust him. We trust him even though we

can't see him. We trust him even though we can't

see him. And even that the essence of trust. If

you can see, might you might not need to trust anyone.

You just see, and you just believe because you saw.

But Jesus's blessed are those who do not see and

yet believe.

We wigh upon him. We patiently wait upon the Lord

by faith.

Because we know he is good, and he's good all

the time, and that Romans eight twenty eight will come

to pass.

And what is Romans eight twenty eight All things work together?

We and we know that all things work together. You

know what work together means. It means the.

Bad and the good working together, the pain and the

prosperity working together, the darkness and the light working together.

Everything will work together for the good to those who

love him, to those who are the callt according.

To his purpose. It will come to pass.

All that God has promised, because he is good.

So even though you can't see now, you can't understand.

Now, keep trusting him, and I pray that will be

the case with all of our church bloods, that the brothers,

the friends, and the daughters in our churches will learn

to trust us as father as because it's not always

going to be that we are strong.

There are days that we are going to be quote

unquote naked.

In our own tent, in our own house, naked in

our own house, not always perfect in our pitching, not

always saying the most politically correcting, and yet we want

our people to trust us as we trust a lot,

and honor as we honor the lot, so that you

know it all turn out well.

As I draw to a close, I want to say

to you, there are today.

Many Hams out there, many who are okay with not

only going into their father's tent, looking at their father's

nackedness and going out and talking about it with the brothers.

That many. I pray that ex church will not be

in that same category.

I pray that we will find many more Shems and Jeffers,

many more Shems and Jeffers in our church today who

will walk in the opposite spirit.

That's what they did.

They walk opposite, They turn around, they put the blanket

on their shoulder, and they walk opposite. We need sons

and daughters and brothers who will begin to walk the

opposite spirit. By walking the opposite spirit, they cover their

father's nakedness because love covers a multitude of sins. The

theme for alc and even anniversary was love. And that's

why you saw the word love everywhere. Rol and you

know you saw all that you saw. You guys got

your umbrella, which actually has got that scripture right first

conting since thirteen thirteen.

Now by faith, hope, love.

But the greatest of ease is love, and love continues

to cover the nakedness.

Of our fathers and of each other. Are we okay

with this? So we don't just need the ministry of fathers.

We need the ministry of brothers because brothers also make

it happen. Then when we go out and talk, brothers

will say, hold on a minute, let's not continue this talk.

Let's not go this way, let's not go that path.

The ministry of brothers. We understand the mystery of fathers.

We do.

All of us here are like fathers in some way

or the other. But the ministry of brothers, because it

was one brother who made it all messed up.

Now you read the scripture that when Nohah woke up,

he knew exactly what his son did. How did he know?

Who told him?

Well, I told him before that leaders worked with sense

from God. And so he sends that his son had

done this to him, and he said, cursed be Canaan,

a servant of servants, he shall be to his brethren.

And then he blessed Sham, and then he blessed Jefforth.

May we have our churches blessed, less disciple sons and

less disciple brothers to do the right thing, to walk

in the opposite direction, opposite spirit, and please God ordered

their fathers, because one day they too will be fathers.

It says he, curse it be Canaan. It'd even say

curse it be Ham. Are you with me, generations after

you are either going to be blessed or curse by

the way you and I decide to live our lives. So,

in the name of Jesus, I just want to pray

God's blessing not just over the fathers in this room,

but over the brothers, over the sons, and over the daughters.

I pray a blessing, not a curse, over the generations.

That will come after you. In the name of Jesus,

I pray, fathers in.

This room you will be honored as you honor your father,

and together we will raise sons and daughters who will

be like Shem and Jeffeth blessed for many more generations

to come. Do the right thing, make the right decisions,

Fear God, honor the leaders that God has put over

your lives, and raise people after you who will be

like you and receive God's blessing. So, Father, thank you

again for this time. Thank you for the word that's

gone forth. Thank you again for the father's here. I

honor every father here of every church plan, and I

also honor every brother here.

That will follow the way of Sham and Jefforth and

be forever blessed. Thank you in Jesus. Ay we pray, Amen, Amen,
