  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. We are called to preach the gospel.

  4. Yes, we are called to make disciples, and we've got

  5. to remember our calling because whenever you work outside your calling,

  6. there is darkness and danger. So we have to be

  7. very careful how we assume and presume, because if we

  8. walk outside that calling, we walk outside our covering and

  9. we walk outside our protection. God promises to be with

  10. us when we are walking in his will and in

  11. his ways. There is no promise that he will do

  12. the same if we are walking outside his will, walking

  13. outside his ways, walking outside his word. And I said promise,

  14. meaning you know, unless you can find me a clear

  15. promise that God says that even if you walk outside

  16. my will my ways were you know that I will

  17. still you know, know that I don't see any scripture

  18. like that. But there's many more promises that if you

  19. would obey me, if you would, you know, do it

  20. my way, if you would do my will, you know,

  21. he says, and low, I will be with you until

  22. the end of the age. Never do anything outside your

  23. call or rather, so I say, don't leave your call

  24. Romans one one. Paul was very clear about his calling

  25. Paul in Romans one one. And it's not just Romans

  26. one one lies in a couple of scriptures or so.

  27. Usually Paul starts like this, Paul a born servant of

  28. Jesus Christ.

  29. Wow.

  30. Immediately he knew he was a servant of the Lord,

  31. not just servant, a bond servant. And you know what

  32. bond servant is, right. A bond servant is one who,

  33. after he is given the chance to be free, says,

  34. I don't want to be free.

  35. I want to serve you forever. And the Master takes

  36. him or her.

  37. Usually him to the door post of the house and

  38. nails and pierces his ear to the door post.

  39. Right. You know that? Uh?

  40. And it's a mark that I'm a bond I chose

  41. to be bound to this Master. And you call, and

  42. Paul calls himself that, and he said, called to be

  43. an apostle. Wow, he knows, you know, clearly he's called

  44. to be an apostle. And he said, separated to the

  45. Gospel of God. I like Romans one one, because in

  46. that short sentence there are three clear things. I am

  47. a servant, I'm an apostle, and all this so that

  48. I can preach the gospel.

  49. Separated to the Gospel of God.

  50. And so at the end of the day, Paul is

  51. constantly going back to the reason why God gave him

  52. all these things and is so.

  53. That the Gospel can be preached Ephicients four one to three.

  54. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord Wow beseech you

  55. to what worthy of the calling with which you were called?

  56. Do you know the word worthy, translated in the Greek

  57. is the words balancing the scales. In Greek, worthy means

  58. balancing the skills. So to be worthy is to live

  59. a life balance in accordance to God's call. So God

  60. has called you already, that's who you are. So you've

  61. got to measure up to that call. That call cannot

  62. come down to your standard. You and I have to

  63. rise up to this center. And even if it takes

  64. you twenty years, keep going because his call will never

  65. come down to our comfort. I'm gonna say it again,

  66. his call will never come down to our comfort. We've

  67. got to keep on balancing the scales. So worthy that

  68. you talking about worthy, how are you worthy? You balance

  69. the scales? Worthy means I measure up right now, I'm

  70. worthy to worthy of his calling.

  71. In a way he calls you apossibly, he means you're

  72. a possile.

  73. You want to call yourself maybe a postle, call yourself

  74. maybe a possible, But you're still a possible. You get

  75. what I'm saying. And there is no twenty percent pastor.

  76. So you know, God says, oh you're a pastor, or

  77. I'm fifty percent, because I'm fifty percent the church fifty percent.

  78. You know in my company, there's no such thing. He

  79. calls you that you are. Now all of us just

  80. measure up by his grades. We can amen. So I'm

  81. going to read it again. I therefore, the prisoner of

  82. the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling

  83. with which you were called, with all loneliness and gentleness,

  84. with long suffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring

  85. to keep the unity of the spirit in the born

  86. of peace. One more scripture, then I'll move on first

  87. Peter two nine. You all know it, but you are

  88. a chosen generation, wow, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,

  89. his own special people, that you may proclaim the praises

  90. of Him who called you out of darkness into his

  91. marvelous light. You know, once in a while, we as

  92. leaders and even our people in church partners have to

  93. be reminded of our calling, that we were called by God,

  94. because sometimes there's so many voices and so many things

  95. that happen in our lives that we forget it's actually

  96. that purely that you know, it's not even about whether

  97. we agree don't agree, whether it's modern, whether it's old school.

  98. It's not about all these things. Sometimes we argue about no,

  99. whether people like this or not, it's about a calling.

  100. It's really about our calling. And we continue to do

  101. this because we've been caught. You know, I'm not sure

  102. whether Elvin received my slides heart truths about calling. You

  103. need to know heart truth Heart truth just means no excuses.

  104. And let me show you very quickly. Calling doesn't need money,

  105. meaning that it's good to have money. But even if

  106. we don't have a you still a call, right, you

  107. better find a way to measure up to your calling,

  108. even if you don't have money.

  109. Number two, college doesn't need friends.

  110. So if all your friends leave you or you're still

  111. calling all right, sometimes we go like, oh, my friends

  112. are no longer here, So you know, at number three. Uh,

  113. calling doesn't need reason. Everybody's trying for a reason. No,

  114. to fulfill your call. Your call is your reason. Number

  115. four calling doesn't need rewards. People, What was it? What

  116. is it in for me?

  117. Or what? What? What is? How do you go to

  118. the English phrase? Yeah, what's in it? What's in it

  119. for I was speaking tongues? What's in it for me? Yeah?

  120. Everybody's asking that. Number five Calling doesn't need success. So

  121. how I ain't got twenty people at the end of

  122. my time. I've just been faithfuler right, No, but you

  123. know you're not two hundreds, so you know successful? Hello?

  124. You know I didn't. I didn't enterity to be successful.

  125. I entered this to be faithful.

  126. Number six Calling doesn't need validation, and I know a

  127. lot of people are going around here. Will validate me first,

  128. then I serve I thought you were saving the Lord.

  129. Now I'm not.

  130. When I say it doesn't need that, it doesn't mean

  131. that it's not good to have It's very different. It's

  132. good to have money, it's good to have friends, but

  133. it doesn't need to fulfill it.

  134. Yeah.

  135. Number seven, it doesn't need persuasion. People keep going persuading,

  136. persuading people be a leader. Please be a leader, and

  137. so on and so forth. Number eight, Colling doesn't need satisfaction.

  138. I don't feel satisfied, law after seven years of being here, right.

  139. I never see the Bible saying you must be satisfied

  140. to fulfill your calling, right, I don't know how many

  141. people have actually finished a callinger actually not fully satisfied.

  142. So the Lord never said you must.

  143. But I mean, because you know why in this life

  144. we are all you know, we're working for satisfaction, you know,

  145. so we are not satisfying the company you want to leave, Okay,

  146. I mean, use the way of the world if you

  147. want to.

  148. Deal with the world.

  149. Maybe it's not totally wrong like that, of course, it's

  150. better to use the way of the lotler. But okay, fine, well, well,

  151. but when you come into the church and the King

  152. of God, you gotta you gotta go flow with a

  153. different spirit, all right, So don't don't forget about satisfaction.

  154. I know you might not be satisfied, but never mind,

  155. I'm gonna stick for fill my con Number nine.

  156. You see how fast I'm going appreciation?

  157. Okay, maybe say with a validation, all right, so I

  158. know we are we are you know, we're big on apprecition,

  159. dinners and appresion this and pression that. Right Again, doesn't

  160. mean it doesn't need that or we shouldn't have, but

  161. it's not.

  162. It's not the most important thing, all right.

  163. Number nine, Number ten, Calling doesn't need comparisons really, so

  164. you're comparing me with who you know, and so people

  165. like to compare one church down the street, do you

  166. know what that church is doing? Do you know what

  167. that church is doing? But sometimes we compare, and then

  168. that's why we don't step into our calling. Is I

  169. cannot preach like him, I cannot sing like her. Hello,

  170. who told you to compare? In fact, Jesus said right

  171. when Peter was talking about John, say none of your business. No,

  172. you follow me, right, whatever he's doing is done your business.

  173. You just follow me. Calling doesn't need competition. I'm not competing.

  174. Do you know I'm not competing with any church in Malaysia.

  175. I'm not. I am not. And the time when you

  176. come to that place where by I'm not competing neither

  177. my music nor that my preaching, now them, you know,

  178. I just want to follow Jesus. You know you're free,

  179. You're free, You're free. Now we can learn from audit

  180. you just see. Of course we can learn from other people. Yes,

  181. I've never said no, don't write, but hey, this is

  182. very important. No matter what they're doing. I just want

  183. to do what God tells me to do. And yeah,

  184. we haven't turned off lights when we do worship. Is fine,

  185. It's fine, no, no problem. Okay number twelve calling doesn't

  186. need retirement. Okay, everybody want to talk about retirement and

  187. and so that they can stop and then you know.

  188. Shake their legs, want to play golf?

  189. Do uh nola know if we don't need to talk

  190. about that, we just continue to serve, right, Yeah. So

  191. some people even say, oh you you still you Some

  192. people say ask me, know, are you still in youth

  193. ministry past?

  194. And all these years?

  195. I say, so, oh you're you're You're the oldest youth

  196. pastor in the world. Someone told me that, you know,

  197. so said that you're still in youth mistry. I said,

  198. you are, said I'm not said you know, you know,

  199. but people like you talking that because they see the

  200. ministries are stepping stone all the way to senior past

  201. the ship who said that. Gods would never say that,

  202. So why you know? So, No, I'm not going to retire.

  203. God called me to this. Yeah, Pasceara is selling into

  204. uh ex kids, and so is Pastor Letitia seventy what

  205. is she seventy four? Still x kids see her? Poor pastor? Right,

  206. I love that. I love that example.

  207. Right.

  208. Still, she's still therese Got told it to be. So

  209. don't think about retirement life. You can retire from your career,

  210. not from your calling. All right, But I just wanted

  211. to make sure that we just remember that it's all

  212. about calling. Is God's calling, you know, He called us

  213. what the privilege to serve the Lord.
