  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Five points of what calling needs. Number one. To be

  4. able to fulfill all these thing God has put on

  5. our hearts, we need concentration. Another word is focused. When

  6. I was growing up, my father was a drug addict,

  7. addicted to ganja three times a day, he'll be high.

  8. That went on for twenty five years and people ask me, a, Kenneth,

  9. why didn't you even smoke cigarettes? Don't say ganja, And

  10. I tell you what helped me. By about twelve, the

  11. Lord gave me a passion for sports, and by about

  12. fifteen I was already playing for my school tennis. So

  13. I was on the tennis school team and by about

  14. the seventeen I was the number one four hundred meter

  15. runner in my school, competed with other schools. I say

  16. all that because you had to really focus on practicing.

  17. I used to be at the comb bandon feel and

  18. also they have this track, beautiful track. My school is

  19. just next door. I'm in Buki, so I will go

  20. to the track. I will train under the hot sun

  21. for stamming up a pursses and all that kind stuff.

  22. People say you're crazier. You can just feign under the

  23. hot sun like that, but you know we will try

  24. to build so because we had a focus. And when

  25. you have a focus like that, I did have to

  26. be taught not to smoke. I just wanted to make

  27. sure that my lungs who are free of anything that

  28. can stop me from getting a good time or being

  29. first or winning that gold medal. When you start to

  30. have focus in your life like that, you don't have

  31. to be taught not to do the other things and

  32. be distracted. Because one of the enemy's best plan is destruction,

  33. best strategy. He destructed Eve right, remember, and so there

  34. you go, sow destruction. He sometimes can even distract you

  35. from the best with the good now so in no

  36. good word, but the lot has his best. So a

  37. lot of things on our calendar, it's going to be good.

  38. But God is half after the best, and the best

  39. is is you know that all may know? Okay, so everyone,

  40. all right. Two is commitment. I don't think I have

  41. to preach a lot about that. You really have to

  42. pay the price. You have to commit to this. And

  43. the commitment that I see in Paul is that he

  44. says I'm a prisoner of the lot. Do you know,

  45. people to be able to really fulfill this, you have

  46. to almost imprison yourself to this. You have to put

  47. chains on your hands and your feet so that you

  48. don't simply just go wherever you want to go and

  49. do whatever you want to do. So Paul, when he

  50. says that I'm a prisoner of the Lord, he's trying

  51. to say that I'm I'm I don't even have freedom

  52. to do what I want. I'm chained to what he wants.

  53. I'm a prisoner of his will, not my own. So

  54. we've got to think about commitment in that way that

  55. we are chained to the vision of making sure that

  56. Malaysia comes to know the Lord, and anything else is

  57. either a destruction or just maybe a side bonus or

  58. if it's the best at best it says, okay, bonus,

  59. but not the real focus. Okay. Number three is what

  60. I call character. And this is where the word worthy

  61. comes in. You've got to really measure up to your calling.

  62. So someone said before I saw a thought, reap a habit,

  63. sow a habit, reap a character. Uh, And I think

  64. it's got to be habitual. He's gonna start getting habitual

  65. to us that this theme that all may know and

  66. that evangelism and discipleship is really now the focus. We've

  67. got to make it a habit. So whatever curriculum we

  68. are doing, we've got to make it a habit in

  69. people's lives. So we don't just want to teach and

  70. then oh, let's do wait for twenty twenty five team,

  71. because I think is going to be a different theme.

  72. Let's move on. No, there's no moving on. There is

  73. this is this is this is what is going to

  74. keep us going. Another word, of course, I like, is consistency.

  75. So whatever we're going to teach Saul and homes next year,

  76. and I know that some of you even talked about

  77. a small little steps exercises that we can do and

  78. all that kind of stuff is to really get people

  79. to measure up to their calling, balancing the scales. And

  80. we've got to We've got to measure up our character

  81. and the calling. Uh. And one big part of the

  82. character is consistency. Consistency is actually a character issue. Number

  83. four is a comforter. And you know what I mean

  84. by that is the Holy Spirit. You can't do it

  85. without the Holy Spirit. He is the spirit of evangelism. Okay,

  86. so the calling still needs the Holy Spirit's help. Without him,

  87. we can do the thing. Number five, it's choice. Finally,

  88. you will find that though many are called, few are chosen.

  89. So you can be called to this. But actually, at

  90. the end of the day is a choice daily, weekly,

  91. every month, every year. Okay, so choice is very, very powerful.

  92. All of us are called to something, but this choice

  93. that seals it. I'm gonna say it again. All of

  94. us are called to something, but it's choice that seals it.

  95. I might be defined by my calling, but the final

  96. decision is my choice. All these are just quotes that

  97. I wrote down. Well, repeat it to you again. All

  98. of us are called to something, but it's choice that

  99. seals it. Choice that seals it. I might be defined

  100. by my calling. Oh he's called to be apostle, but

  101. the final decision. I might be defined by my calling,

  102. but the final decision is my choice. And so when

  103. you see the final analysis, the final result is actually

  104. that result is the result of choice. The result is

  105. not just a result of calling. The result because many

  106. I call, a few are chosen. So you know, it's

  107. not just about calling. So what you see in the mirror,

  108. you you. You know that a huge percentage is choice.

  109. So I keep reminding myself that, Okay, when it comes

  110. to weight issues, I want to lose weight, or when

  111. you look at the mirror, it is any choice, and

  112. so on and so forth. Okay, so I'm going to pray.

  113. I'm just going to leave this with you, because all

  114. of you are leaders. You know, we don't have to

  115. go too deep into this, but I really believe that

  116. this could help us with even curriculum writing and exercises

  117. that we won't want to do. Finally, we will get

  118. to this that all may know, because the whole church

  119. chooses this way is very very important. So all these

  120. things is uh things that we need to consider uh

  121. and prepare for and that we will be finally the

  122. final analysis that we will be able to pass it

  123. down to all our partners and our whole church will choose.

  124. So before our whole church can choose to live this,

  125. the leaders must choose for us. And I pray that

  126. we have made our choice in this, uh, you know,

  127. hearing from your sharing yesterday, I know that we have.

  128. We've definitely chosen to adopt and to embrace and to

  129. follow through with what God has given to us. But

  130. now the challenge will be how do we translate this

  131. UH and how do we transfer this so that all

  132. of X Church, not just here in Malaysia but around

  133. the world, can say we choose this and we commit

  134. to it.

  135. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  138. this week is going to be a good week. I

  139. hit for you. God bless
