Building The House

You're listening to a message to go from X Church.

We hope this message will light up your tea.

If you can turn to Exodus chapter thirty six. Please,

I want to give you five thoughts this morning, and

in between those five thoughts there will be other thoughts.

But in the time that I have, I pray that

this will bless you, say has bless me. So from

maybe even the title on your Bibles, you'll find that

it's the building of the Tabernacle. So I wrote here

as the title building the House. And that's what we're

here for. We want to build a house, and through

the house God will build the community and the nation

and the nation's amen. How it begins, it always begins

with the word always, always, And I want us all

to be reminded of that that there's actually nothing in

X Church. For twenty four years now, there has not

been built on the word. I'm very confident to tell

you that even in the controversial thing about dressing your best,

you can still find it in the Word, because we

are told to always and only give our best to God,

amen uh, and to always, you know, give him glory.

So when you get into your wardrobe on a Sunday morning,

and you look not for what comforts you, but what

glorifies him. And I called it an XPJS day, the

garment of praise, that even your garment can praise the Lord.

You know why he is God glorified because whenever we

give him our best, he's glorified. Because people can also say, hey,

your student priests him. It's not a stutain. Entire is

our best. And sometimes in another country your best could

be a but take sometimes And I know even and

I told you before, and even if a prostitute walks

into church and her best wash blouse with sleeve, because

at other times she will wear one with spaghetti streat

and low cut, and her skirt is still short, but

she chose the longest of all her miniskirts. God sees

the heart and that was her best. So you cannot

compare with your best with me. So we know that

God is glorified when you dress for him. But in

church these days many people dress for themselves. You I said, oh,

I'm comfortable with these pajamas. I'm comfortable with pajama with slippers.

You with me. So everything that acts has ever done,

I'm confident to say has been by the word uh.

And I want us to continue this legacy for the

rest of our days until the Lord comes home to

take us home. Rather, I should say, come to take

us home the word So here you see it says

bes a little and a holy every gifted diston in

whom the Lord has put wisdom and understanding to know

how to do all manner of work for the service

of the sanctury, shall do according to all that the

Lord has commanded. It begins there. Okay, all our work,

all our workers, all come together. For what what is

the purpose? It is to do his will? It is

to obey his word. Amen. So it always starts with word.

Let me just give you a little bit of an

update with DVCC. So we're moving out from DVCC this month.

It's a big move. We thank God for all the

years that God has used DVCC in a mighty way.

But the time has come upon us to make this move.

It's a bitter, sweet, you know said, but happy kind

of move. It's challenging but yet exciting at the same time.

It all started. Well, first of all, I'm gonna say this.

I back it up a little bit. The Lord already

put on my heart that the day would come that

we would have to move where and when I don't know.

I didn't know then, And sometimes the Lord is the

one that will move things so that the timing becomes

determined by him. So the next thing that happened, and

I was at peace at it because God's would already

came to me to say that we will one day move,

was that the owner, in talking with ken Yak, said

that actually, I'm ready to sell this place, okay. So

we took that as a confirmation that the Lord wanted

us to move, and we started negotiating the move and

planning for the move. Now, just about a week ago,

the owner on the call with Elder Ka said, why

are you moving so fast? Take your time, because now

I'm not selling to the guy I have planned to

sell to because it's too low a price. And also

I don't really want to sell to this guy that

I was initially wanted to sell to. So some people

will be out there saying, good news, Wow, he's no

longer selling it, right great. Second good news is that

I will no longer charge you rental for d VCC okay,

and you can you just paid something right the forty

of one thousand ring it in terms of maintenance or

security fees or maintenance fee, but you don't have to

pay my twenty five thousand ring it and tell us

altogether it comes up to about seventy a little bit

over seventy thousand ringit per month. So okay, yeah, had

this urgent call with Mila. He says, Fussa, this has happened,

you know, And there was such a piece in my heart. No,

there was a piece in my heart. Because when God

speaks and tells you to do something, the devil will

always try to counter offer, always, and.

Unless you know God's word, you will.

Shift and you will shrink back, and you will change

your mind.

So it's very, very important.

Now, if you're still searching for that word and you're

on your way, it's fine. Maybe the Lord has not

been as clear, so you walk with the Lord and

make sure all I'm saying is get a clear word

from the Lord, and don't be shaken because I told

King Ya, the Lord has already wanted us to move

out of this place for a few things. Number one,

for alignment to the vision, because you were supposed to

grow small to grow big. But Subang was the only

one that was still like that, and even though they

had two hundred and twenty people, two hundred and thirty

at maximum, coming to ten thirty, it's still in the

midst of seven hundred seats and it was still you know,

not it and it was not aligned. And all the

rest of us have gone out to align. But ten thirty,

you know, its time was to come, and it has

to come, and it has come because the question is

if not now then when the need was there, we

had to align. We had to also maximize every space.

Remember me telling you this last September October that this

January or so I told you this January. I told

you that God said to us maximize. And I can

tell you this that with DBCC and base camp and

with all this space and property that we had, we

weren't maximizing it. So the Lord wanted us to maximize.

Now his force issue and we have to come out

of DVCC. But I'm excited to maximize the pig, to

maximize the bridge, to maximize base camp, to maximize the

space outside the basketball court. The Lord is saying maximize

because he has more to give us, and so is

alignment is maximizing every space. And I think you heard

me use the word consolidate before. Though now consolidation is

very very important. But when you consolidate and when you

bring things together to make it one, you know what

also happens. Things get cut off as well. You know

why you're trying to bring like ten things into one

to make one shape like plas the scene or whatever,

you got to also cut off the extra fat. So

in every consolidation worker there is also a cutting off.

And so the Lord has chose to cut off the VCC,

the extra fat, as it were, at least for the future.

It was not fat before you with me. It was

at the time of God, made it effective, made it

good in its time. But in the future moving forward

is not in the plans of God. And if some

something is not in the plans of God, it becomes

unnecessary or fat or useless or unhealthy. You with me,

So at least for three reasons are alignment to the

vision maximizing every space, and consolidation consolidated to grow even more,

we had to see the cutting off of DVCC.

So when you know the word of the Lord, you

don't shake.

When the owner says, I won't charge you red when

the owner says take your time, because what that's take

your time in September October next year January February. So

that means that the work of the Lord will get

delayed because of what you and I think is a

great offer. We have to be careful about great offers

out there, because great offers that are not in line

with God's word can actually be, you know, terrible offers.

Uh.

And so I want to say to you right now,

the word gives you your worth. You would think that

it's very worth it to continue in DVCC not having

to pay rent, right, But actually it's more worth it

to follow the word. I give you a few other

thoughts about the word. I'm gonna dwell a lot on

the first point, and then I'm gonna just run through

the other four points.

I give you a few other points, okay.

David in First Samuel twenty four four to seven was

surrounded by men who said, the Lord has delivered your

enemy to you. Saul went into the cave to relieve himself,

and the people around David said, the Lord, you scripture,

the Lord who promised you victory over your enemies has

delivered your enemy to you now rise and kill him.

And David could not do so. He only could manage

cutting off the corner of Saul's garment. And even after

cutting off, we know from the word that David felt

bad just cutting off the rope. And then David said,

far be from me. I cannot touch the lords anointed.

The word to David was stronger than the words of

the men around him who actually used the word of God. Also,

so which one wins. You know the word that God

has given you very strongly, firmly in your heart or

words in the committee. There is a man of God's

story in One Kings thirteen One Kings thirteen seven to

twenty four. The Man of God was so powerful he

went up to the altar. He cursed the altar, and Jerobaum,

king of Israel, said to the people arrest him. You

know the man of God. You remember the story, and

you know something happened to the king right. And the

king cried out, oh, Man of God, please pray for me. Right,

and a man of God prayed and the king was healed.

And then the king said that to reward you come

home and eat with me. And you know what the

Man of got it? The man go said, God said,

I am not to eat bread, I am not to

do anything. I am to go home after I do this.

And I had to go home from another way, not

from the way I came. And then he starts walking.

And then another old prophet, here's of this man of

God comes to you and says, come and eat with me,

and he repeats back the word of God. He says,

God says no. And the prophet says, I also am

a prophet. I'm telling you in the last days, because

there's gonna be a lot of all prophets. Okay, I'm

gonna I'll tell you right now, a lot of all prophets.

Who's gonna come and tell you? But that says the Lord.

And I want EXI us to continue to hold on

to the word, no matter what, if it's grow small,

to grow big, that's the word. Don't get tempted, you know,

don't get ever tempted. I know because the things we

are watching on screen, it's not small. And his big concerts,

his big happenings is you know, Arola, the hill Songs,

the Bethels, you know, and a lot of young passes

are going for that because that looks great that looks great.

But every time you get this temptation that you go

back to the word of God, what did God tell us?

Because I am very confident that this what we're doing

is the future, and what some people are running after

is the past. That's the past way of doing it.

It's not the future way of doing it, especially in

Malaysia when we can expect persecution. Try to grow bigger

if you want to, but it's not I don't think

it's the way of the Lord anyway, not the way

of the Lord for Usa. Okay, let's just let's us

be that. So man of God was killed sitting on

a donkey heading back. The lion killed him. And you know,

death is very real, even for the men of God.

Jesus in Matthew sixteen said to Peter. Well, he turned

around and said to Peter, get behind me, Satan. You

are mindful only of the things of men, but not

of God. Why because Peter tried to stop him from

going to the cross? Far be it from you. Actually,

the word of what says that Peter rebuked Jesus. No,

have you ever rebuked Jesus before? Peter rebuked Jesus? Are yeah? Rebuilt? Yeah?

I know, you know, sometimes some younger ministers have no honor,

no no respect. But the thing is Peter rebuked, rebuke

Jesus and said, no way like I almost like over

my dead body. And jesusays, you're gonna be dead if

you're talking like this, and rebuked him. So Jesus, you know,

turned around the Bible sitting around. Get you behind me, Satan.

You are mindful of things of men if you be careful,

nor don't be mindful of things of men. Be mindful

of the things of God. But listen to me. Just

a few verses before this are Peter was acknowledged and

admired for saying, you are the Christ, the son of

the Living God. And Jesus turned say, and you are Peter,

you know, And upon this rock I will build my

church and a caase of hell will not prevail against it,

you know, just on what Yes, a couple of seconds ago,

if not minutes, right, he gets this, he gets this,

whoa right exaltation from the Lord himself. And then so

I'm just saying to you right now, men of God,

prophets of God, honor. Can you know, one day be up,

one day down. It's quite ficul. But we need to

hold on to the work.

The only reason.

Why they were doing what they were doing in Exodus

thirty six was just by the command of God. It

works like this, while we are here this morning, I

believe it's the word. Where we're going from here is

the word. We've got to hold on to the world,

like behold into our lives. One more Paul in X

twenty one ten to fourteen. You know the people already saying,

don't go to Jerusalem. Please, don't go to Jerusalem. Please

don't go to Jerusalem. And Paul says, I have to go.

I have to go God. God has told me to go.

The Holy Spirit is leading me to go. And then

comes Agabus, the prophet who comes into the room. I

think his name is Agabus.

He takes Paul's bell, and he binds his hand his feet.

And says, such will happen to the man who wears

this belt. And then they all, now, including all the

traveling companions Paul, including the writer of Acts, which is Leuke.

They all surrounded Paul and now pleading.

With him, you know, please know, so you know, man

wisdom came around him, man's understanding came around Paul and

said please don't go, Please don't go. And what was

the words of Paul? What are you doing? Don't you

know that I'm not only just ready to be arrested,

I'm ready to die for Jesus. And only the Bible

says that only when he couldn't be persuaded, they stopped

persuading him. So I want to say this to you,

and even prophets can come to you and tell you right,

don't go, oh go, but you need to be faithful

and true to the Word that is within you that

it doesn't matter. So this is this is I'm spending

most of my time on point one because that's all

I need to know at the end of the day

when I when I stand before God, have I been

faithful to his word, to his calling, to his leading,

to his direction? Or have I been influenced by words

and voices around me, even of prophets and men of God.

And you know I don't want that craft testimony. The

next w is work. So the word will always bring

about work. I have never seen God speak to me

that I don't have to do anything about it. And

are you with me? A lot of us are wanting

to go to places whereby we just receive the word

and we get fed. How some people say, I don't

feel fed in this church. Who they go to another church.

I don't feel fed in this church. I go to

another church. It's not about feeding on you know, It's

about hearing God's work and doing something about it. I

have yet to receive a word from the Lord I

did not have to respond to. I'm yet to receive

a word from the Lord. I did not have to

act upon. There is no such thing. Oh, I felt

so good with the word. And there have many Christians

in the last days, even more who surround themselves with

teachers all right to crash your itching ears. The Bible says,

I don't want to be that. I don't want to

go a church just too, and I don't want to

go into any messages just only so that I can

feel good in fact, that the Lord is going to horless,

accountable and responsible for every word we've ever heard and

we have not done anything about. So I get I'd

be very careful to listen to words. So this morning,

you're listening to this word because God wants to encourage

you that once he releases a word, there will be work.

So let me read it to you, because he says

here every gifted artisan, Okay, it was given wisdom and

understanding to know how to do all manner of all

manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall

do according to all that the Lord has commanded. All right.

So the Lord had put wisdom everyone whose heart was

stirred to come and do the work. Okave. I wanted

you to count how many times the word work work

was mentioned. It's at least three, even not four times,

all right. And they received from Moses or the offering

which the Trune of Israel had brought for the work

of the service of the sanctuary. All right, So they

continue bringing to him free with offerings every morning. Then

all the craftsmen who are doing.

All the work.

Of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing,

and they spoke to Moses, saying, the people bring much

more than enough for the service of the work. All right.

All right, let neither man nor women do any more

work for the offering of the sanctuary. Now I like

that verse. Let neither man nor woman do any more

work for the offering. So even the offering is work.

So I want to summarize it to you. The work

is for the gifted, So there are people gift that artisans.

Who is going to do the work and for those

who will give for the gifted and for the givers,

even those of us who give to the work, it's work.

That's why I'm going to repeat it again. What the

word of word says is that neither man nor women

do any more work for the offering, work for the offering.

So the offering also is work, and the offering is

given to the work and for the work. Abo. Okay.

Another word I would like to use is ornaments, ornaments

and offering. So the work is divided into two. People

who are gifted will beautify the house. That's what ornaments are.

Ornaments are things to beautify places. So the gifted are

not many. The givers are many. The givers came to

give offering for the work. But the gifted are you know,

a good handful of people, maybe more than a handful

the gift that take the giving and ornament or beautify

the house with the offering that the people give, and

and and and both of them are work. Uh. And

so what do we do with the word we work? Uh?

And it's it's a beautiful thing. Okay, I hope you

catch that, and I hope I hope you catch that.

The way forward for the house is that we continue

to beautify the house. We in this room are the gifted.

We are also give us, I know, but the Lord

doesn't make everyone gifted. It really seems like the Word

has got people that got hand picks as gifted artisans.

And the gifted artisans come and they make things. They

make things using the offering. The ornaments come from the offering,

because the offering is not just money. You know, it's gold,

it's silver, it's bronze. You also read purple and blue

thread and all that, you know. So they use the

offering to make the ornament. But the ornaments are done

by gifted artisans. So every CPC here is supposed to

be gifted artisans to make God's house beautiful. Think about

that as your mission statement. I am a gifted artisan

to beautify the House of the Lord, to make it

so beautiful that God is glorified. But also people are

rich because people out there love beautiful things. And when

we make the House of God beautiful, they are drawn

to the House of the Lord. But we are gifted artisans.

Not everyone is going to be a gifted artistan everybody, okay,

And you and I are here to fulfill the word

or the command of God by using the giftedness and

beautifying the church using the offering of the givers.

Theyboy, okay, how are you and I agree with?

How are you and I going to do this? Where

the next w is wisdom, wisdom from God, and bazeleel

and a hooleb and every gifted artisan in whom the

Lord has put wisdom and understanding to know how to

do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary,

shall do according to all that the Lord has commanded.

I love it. Then Moses called basileel and a hole

and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had

put wisdom. I love it. I love it. So this

is where graphic designers started. This is where it all started,

because you think about it, right before this, how did

they know how to fashion metal? How do you know

how to burn down metal? Boil it, you know, harden it,

shape it?

How do you know this?

Though? Actually? What if God gests it? God gave them wisdom.

The suddenly just.

Knew how to And I'm telling you are leading this

church ex church for twenty four years an hour without

going to Bible school. Only God can get all the glory,

you know, because I learned it from nowhere else except

straight from the throne room of God. He gives you

wisdom to lead this church, to lead it through the pandemic,

to lead it to a place whereby you know, how

is this centralized? Uh? To lead it to a plan

in different nations, to lead it to you know, Uh,

it's one hundred and twenty each a plan and twelve

leaders and twelve homes. God gives the wisdom.

I've never gone for any church planting school.

Neither of you have. In fact that I don't think

any of you has got a Bible degree on your wall.

You've got the other degrees. In fact, masters is a

all right? But no but and is this pro pride? No,

it's glory to God and praise the Lord and honor

to him.

He is the one that gave.

And he you see from knowing nothing, you know, how

do you handle goal? Hey? What is this called? I

don't know, it's called diamond? Okay, how do you handle this?

They had to put the jewelry on to the breastplate,

you know, and and God gave them the design. And

this is how you're gonna fashionate. This is how you're

gonna you know, beat it this. How are you gonna

make the ark of the Covenant overlaid with gold? You know, say,

it is quite amazing. So in the future that we are,

we are about to take Okay, there's going to be

a Cantonese homes that's going to start. We've never started

candys home before. But be rest assured that God, the

same God that has brought us this far, will give

us wisdom to know how to do Candedy's homes. Uh

the uh theology of leadership. We've never done it in

this way before. And now today we've got churches asking

for the program. You know, it's quite amazing. Right goes

to be started from scratch, didn't borrow from anywhere, just

downloaded from the Lord. This wisdom is very very important

for the way forward, because nothing is impossible with God. Everybody, Okay, wisdom,

wisdom for white people, wisdom to do the work right.

You know that a lot of things that extras have

gone thrue that we have never gone through before. Even

some of the painful moments and God gives us wisdom.

Wisdom not to speak bad or back takes a lot

of wisdom, takes a lot of resolve, and also patience. Okay,

so wisdom number four, I'm going to draw to a close.

Now willingness. What is the point of wisdom without willingness?

The Bible says here, I love this part here that

Moses called basilel and he holib and every gifted artisan.

In whose heart the Lord had put wisdom.

That's number one, everyone whose heart was stirred to come

and do the work. You cannot just have wisdom. There's

just one point. You must have a stirring and that

could be the problem with not having enough workers. That

could be the problem not having enough labors. So the

work takes after the word, and wisdom then comes in

and willingness. Please always make sure you get the word

very clear. You do the work according to the all right,

and then you move your people. Say, Lord, please in

my church give me gifted people. And please, in my

church give me givers who will give of their time

and their talent and their treasure. Yes. And then Lord,

please upon all of us, give us wisdom to know

what to do, not just wisdom. See, sometimes people want

wisdom just to set the crisis, and we shouldn't just

have wisdom to set the crisis, because very often we

forget that. It's all about the work. And that's why

Nihimaya was very smart. He did not allow us to

go out and talk to these guys, because these guys

all come out, come out, let's talk and know a

lot of you have spent time talking to people, are

for hours and forget the work. So Niema I said, nonsense,

Lord and go and talk to you. Be quiet in

a great explanation. No, the wisdom is for you to

do the work. Do not ever allow the enemy to deviate.

that I am the smartest pastor in Malaysia. No, the wisdom.

If you can be the smartest pastor but the work

is not done, then what was the wisom? For The

wisdom is for the you and I want to see

growth in this church. Doesn't matter because we're going to

stand before the Lord. And weren't gonna stand before the

Lord saying everyone you brought to me I became friends with. No,

he's not gonna ask you that. He's gonna ask you,

what did you do with my work? And then you pray, Lord, Wow,

I've got a lot of wise people in my Churchllor,

degree holders, masters and PhDs all there are very smart,

but not willing. Finally, finally, finally worthy worthy. Let's all

build a ministry that's worthy of the Lord, worthy for worship.

How many of you still believe that God deserves the best?

Make it beautiful, Make it beautiful. Come on, we're going

to peak. I know we're going to breach. I know

we're going you know, to that whole area that may

not look so beautiful now, But our job, our mission

is to make all things beautiful with God and for God. Everybody. Okay,

so the word come on, he's telling God is telling,

make me a beautiful place, a beautiful house. And God

is talking about jewels. God's talking about blue and purple.

God is talking about gold and overlay. And you know

is God who's giving the word. And you know what

God is saying, make me something beautiful, make me something

that's worthy of me. Amen, whatever I give you, turn

the ugly to beautiful. Turn you know, the world less

to worthy. We can do that. Turn the one guitar

that you have to the most beautiful worship you can

ever give to the Lord. You don't have to have

a full band, because sometimes you can have a full

band and still be ugly because we're all playing for ourselves.

Or you can have one guitar only four strings and

make it beautiful. Amen. When people are there to serve

the Lord and to give him glory, right, it's going

to beautiful. When people are there for themselves, it's going

to be ugly. So all this to give God something

that's worthy, worthy of worship, make it beautiful.
