Elisha and The Widow

You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

We hope this message will light up your tea.

Elisha gave her a word. We need a word from

the Lord. Whatever debt it is, I want to say

to you first of all that Jesus has paid the

price for every debt. God is about to do a

miracle in your own house. Come on, if you believe,

you say amen. A praise be to God. That the

Bible always gives us an answer. Although we might start

with the bad news, there is good news in Christ Jesus.

There is good news that comes from the living word

of God.

There is an answer to every problem, and Jesus is

the answer. The word of the Lord gives us the

answer today. So if there be anyone in this room

that feels like your children in a good way. Your

children may have left church backslided. They are doing something

that you thought they will never do. They are bound

by something that you thought. Where did that come from? Well,

it can very easily come from the debt that we

as this generation owe that has allowed a door for

the enemy, the creditor, to come and have a right

to claim our children as his slaves.

But we don't want our children to be the slaves

of the enemy. Can I hear good? Amen?

We don't want the next generation to be bound by

the devil. We don't want to give him the right

or the open door to come in and to enslave

the next generation.

Can I hear good? Amen?

So we start with bad news, but I want to

tell you we will end with good news. And this

is the word of the Lord. Number one, Number one,

There was a cry the woman the widow. The Bible

says a certain woman of the wives of the sons

of the prophets cried out to Elisha. She cried out

because she was desperate. People, and some of you in

this room could be desperate. You could be a faithful

man of God. You could be a faithful woman of

God in this place. And yet the enemy has had

a door to come in and to attack your sons

and your daughters, and sometimes even your grandsons and your granddaughters.

There's a door, there's a there's a room that we

have allowed the enemy to come in so freely, with.

Authority, and with such vicious attack.

But we have come to a place also where we say, God,

I can't do it on my own. No matter what

I try, how I try it, no matter what my

wisdom and my own strength and my own learning and my.

Own experience, nothing works. I need you.

I need you God, And there's a desperate cry that

needs to rise up from the hearts of the generation

that is here.

And now there's a desperate cry.

There is a deeper prayer people, a deeper level of

prayer and a desperate plea that needs to take place

in the Church of the Living God. If you believe it'say,

Amen and God, here's our cry. Some forty tells us

this that I cried out to the Lord, and he

hurt my cry and brought me out of a horrible

pit and set my feet upon a rock.

Hallelujah, in a place of desperation.

Because we need God, We really need the Holy Spirit's intervention.

That is number one, bringing the connection with God to

a whole new level.

Connecting with God at a whole new level.

When she cried out to the Man of God, Elishah,

Elisha gave her a word. We need a word from

the Lord. Whatever problem that you are going through, whatever trouble,

whatever debt, My dear brothers and sisters, you know you

have in your life that has allowed the enemy to

come and attack you so freely. He's paid the price

for every sin, and by his love our sins are covered.

Praise the Lord Jesus is good news. But the word

of the Lord can be different for every individual. Really,

you can be here, seated here listening to one general word,

but at your seat you could be receiving a specific

rama word from the Lord for your situation, and God

needs to speak to you.

For some parents, it could be repentance.

For some parents, it could be please forgive me my

son for I have failed. For some parents it could be, hey,

it's time to put quality time into your relationship with

your children. I don't know what the Lord will say

to you, but a word of the Lord is what's needed.

And the word of God will be go forth and

not return to him void. If you believe it, please

say amen. There will be a word, and it will

be different for different people here, and it will be

different for different situations. But the word of the Lord

will come, and the word of the Lord will be

a lamb unto your feet and a light unto your path,

and you will know exactly what to do, where to go,

and you will save your family. Number three, The word

that came from the prophet began with a question. So

this morning, wherever you're seated, and whatever stage you are

in life, and whatever you're going through, the word of

the Lord will come as you cry out to the Lord.

But listen for the question. The question was very simple.

The question was very easy, and I believe this question

is for all of us.

The question is what do you have in your house? Widow?

What do you have in your house?

I want to tell you right now, and this is

good news that the miracle begins in your own house.

You actually have what it takes in your own house. People.

It is not changing church. The answer is not in

some other church. It's in this church. It's in your house.

It's not in changing families. Sometimes you wish we could

change families. My neighbor's family better. No, it's not about

changing family. It's not even about changing your job. Change

your job if you have to, if God leads you to.

But not.

The answer is not found in just changing geographical locations.

You have what it takes within your own house to

see God move a miracle come out.

If you believe it, say amen.

In your own house, people, God wants to begin the

miracle in your own house. So everyone here, please don't

just think about what you don't have, think about what

you have. Please stop thinking about what but I don't

have this, I don't have pastor living next door to me.

I don't have you know, I don't have the latest

huge songs. I don't have you know, the elder coming

visiting me with oil every week. Neg Please don't start

with what you don't have. Start this morning, because the

miracle is about to happen. Start with what you have.

What do you have, dear widow, in your house? Was

the question the prophet had for the widow. God begins

with what we have, not with what we don't.

Number four.

The word that came from the prophet was not just

a question, what do you have in your house? The

word that came from the prophet was go, Go woman,

go geo, go and gather. Go to your neighbors and

borrow as many vessels as you can.

Don't just borrow a few, borrow as much as you can.

Make sure they're empty, Bring it into your house from

your neighbor's house. Borrow and bring it back to your

own house and shut your door. Because God is about

to do a miracle in your own house. Come on,

if you believe, you say amen. What's number four about

number four is that the command is urgent. Some of

you have known your trouble for the last ten, fifteen years,

twenty years.

Some of your sons have gone so far away from

the Lord.

You don't know. Why didn't you start earlier. Some maybe

have cried and have not gone on beyond cry. You see,

some people know how to pray, and they pray desperately.

I know I can't say you don't pray genuinely. I

can't say that. I don't want to say that because

I know they are hurting people in this room who,

although you serve the lot so faithfully, you are crying

inside and you're praying. But please don't stop at prayer.

You've got to get the word. But don't just stop

at the word. You've got to obey the word. So

the Bible tells us, the prophet says, go, woman, go

almost feel like crying out, Run for us, Run, you know, run,

come on, woman, go.

I know you're crying, I know you're hurting. I know

you're in.

Debt, you're fearful. But this is the word of the Lord.

And when you have the word of the Lord, you

better run with the word of God, and run swiftly,

says the Bible.

Go. There is an urgent command. Everyone.

Don't take longer because the creditor is at the door.

The enemy is going to create he of with our

lives if we don't take back our families and give

our families to the hands of the Lord and trust him.

Go.

The command was urgent, The command was urgent, and the

obedience was immediate.

The obedience people was immediate.

The Bible actually says, after she heard from the prophet,

she went immediately.

She went and did what the prophet told her.

Didn't wait one more day, didn't wait two more days,

didn't wait one more year, didn't say tomorrow, lah tomorrow. No,

Today is the day of salvation. Come on, Today is

the day of salvation. Today. If you would hear his voice,

do not harden your hearts. Amen, because the Lord loves

your family. Come on, can I hear good?

Amen? The Lord loves you so much.

He loves your children, He loves the generations after you,

And God wants, as the Bible says, from one generation

to another, we will praise the Lord. Everybody say, okay,

this is the word of the Lord for us. There

is no time. Let this generation be faithful so that

the next generation can be free. Let this generation see

the word is immediate, the word is urgent.

We've got to do it. Now.

Be faithful to the word that God gives you so

that you generation next can be free.

I'm gonna give it to you again. And this is

for free.

Let this generation be faithful so that the next generation

can be free.

What has God asked of you? What does God ask

of you? Do it? Do it? Do it now?

Don't delay, because I tell you what It will guarantee

the freedom of the next generation.

If you believe it. Say amen, here is a thought.

The husband of the woman.

I don't know whether you ever thought about this, but

the woman, the widow, cried out and said to Elisha

that her husband who died is a faithful servant who

feared the Lord.

This is this way.

I'm trying to tell you, friends, that even faithful servants

can have death. The man of God, who is the

husband to the widow, died and died with deaths. So

I want to say to you the word of words

telling us that no matter how faithful you think you are,

you can still have trouble in your home. So it

might hopefully be an encouragement to all of you. That

is not because we are holding positions in church that

everything's gonna be all right with our sons and daughters.

There's no guarantee.

There is no guarantee, because even the ones who fear

the Lord.

Can have a lack, can have a pass, can have

a debt. Even the faithful ones.

Elisha, your servant who is now dead, you know him.

He feared the Lord, but I am left with his debts.

I am left with his debts. And now the creditor

is coming to bring my two sons and enslave them.

Even the faithful can have deaths. And yet praise be

unto God. Because of the faithfulness of the husband. The

widow was confident enough to say to Elisha, remember him,

Remember your faithful servant, Remember your servant who feared the Lord.

And out of that I believe Elisha responded. So, even

though the faithful might have debt that can enslave the

next generation, Praise be unto God. Because of your faithfulness

and because you fear the Lord, there is hope for you,

there is a chance for you. God will respond. God

will remember your faithfulness. If you believe it, say amen,

God will remember. But remember this that even a faithful,

fearful man of God, who fears God, can also be

in debt. And so I want to pray for everyone

here before I close. God will set you free, that

God will give you a word in season, and that

you will see and you will experience the power and

the miracle of God.
