  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. You want to stay in your company, be the best staff,

  4. be the best, don't be there complaining. There is no

  5. other option, So you must work your life around what

  6. I call the true North speaking to you hard to

  7. herd because I'm telling you right now, twenty twenty five

  8. is coming just around the corner. And if you can

  9. catch this, I'm telling you twenty twenty five can be amazing.

  10. I want to speak to you this morning about this.

  11. Let's put the title up XTV. I you don't mind,

  12. this is the title for our message today and I

  13. hope to encourage you. Examples, Okay, examples. It's been something

  14. that he's to me about for years now. So brothers

  15. and sisters, ladies and gentlemen, if I hold up this

  16. Bible now, and from Genesis to First Corinthians ten, the author,

  17. which is Paul, Paul the apostle who wrote Corinthians is

  18. saying that everything from Genesis to First.

  19. Corinthians ten was written for our example.

  20. If I asked you for our one word definition, one

  21. word summary of this Bible that you and I follow

  22. after with our lives. It is our example example example.

  23. That also probably means that everything from First Corinthians ten

  24. to today and every other day after is for example.

  25. And if you think about that for a moment, you

  26. will realize that the summary of your life and mind,

  27. our vision, our mission, our goal, our aim is to

  28. live an exemplary life. And I pray that that will

  29. help you with your living every day, as it has

  30. helped me. The reason why I wake up early in

  31. the morning and spend time with God, the reason why

  32. I treat my wife the way I treat her, the

  33. reason why we do church the way we do church,

  34. the reason why I planted another church at fifty two

  35. when I should be retiring, the reason why almost everything.

  36. In fact.

  37. Right now, I'm doing my doctorate, as some of you know,

  38. is a DBA that I'm being offered from and by

  39. help University, and I'm in the middle of my thesis now,

  40. just finished my chapter two, which was the hardest for

  41. me because his literature review means.

  42. I have to read other people's literature, and it's hard.

  43. It's very hard.

  44. But the Lord told me, Kenneth, I'm going to make

  45. you an example that it can be done.

  46. It can be done with God, all things are possible.

  47. Well, so don't retire to early, don't die too young.

  48. All right. If God has given you life, there is

  49. a reason.

  50. There is a purpose, and that is to be an example,

  51. being an example when you are a teenager, being an example,

  52. when you are young, working aout, be an example when

  53. your grandparent. Every stage in life is to be lived

  54. for the glory of God. And if you believe it,

  55. say amen, do all things with that vision, do all

  56. things with that mission, do all things with that spirit.

  57. Everything is about example in life, really everything the whole Bible,

  58. whole Bible, all the way. Now, let me go from

  59. Genesis to Revelations and every day of our life it's

  60. about example. How you stay in this church is an example.

  61. If you're going to stay in this church, be an

  62. example of how and why you stay. Give your best.

  63. Don't have half hearted you know, attitude. If you're gonna

  64. be staying, stay and give an example. If you're going

  65. to be going, it's okay, go with an example, because

  66. opportunities are given to us. You know, I left FGA

  67. to help SIB, and I was SIB's first youth pastor.

  68. As IB.

  69. The time was eighty people. Now there are probably eight thousand,

  70. but I was there first youth pastor. I want to

  71. make sure that when I left FGA, I left with

  72. an example, and that's why I get called back to speak.

  73. I spoke in FJKL two weeks three weeks ago, this

  74. is very important. And then when I left SIB to

  75. start ex church, leave with an example. Oh it's so important. Guys,

  76. I need to understand. It's not about he's bad, she's good. No,

  77. it's about your example. You want to show people that

  78. you can do it and do it well. You want

  79. to stay in your company, be the best staff, be

  80. the best, don't be there complaining and.

  81. Still want to collect a salary. But if you want

  82. to leave your company, leave well, leave well.

  83. Daniel Trunk Chunk just told me his boss ask him

  84. Jess last week, Daniel, are you happy.

  85. Where you are?

  86. Because your job is still available? He's only left one

  87. here Sunway. Once we write him back, he says, achieve

  88. very happy. I'm fulfiling. He says, okay anyway, Uh, Sunway

  89. is celebrating our Christmas stuff, Christmas lunch. Come back and

  90. have lunch with us. Because he left well, he left

  91. very well.

  92. He told me the destiminony of how he left. Is

  93. it important?

  94. It's not just about you frustrated and angry and therefore

  95. one to throw. You know, the dustiness your your enemy.

  96. You know, it's about hold on a minute in good

  97. times in bad times. My life is to be lived

  98. as an example. Okay, let's move on. Let's move on.

  99. Uh oh, where did my not go to? All?

  100. Right? Here we go next?

  101. Like this says everything is possible as long as there

  102. are examples. When I when I travel the country, I

  103. realize which have a church I go to? Nineteen nine

  104. percent of the churches have got problems. And I'll give

  105. you just an example, have problems with young families not

  106. serving the lot. Okay, so I go, and then the

  107. pastor will tell me, oh, pasta Kenneth, we don't have

  108. young people. Our teenagers are gone by Form five, Form

  109. five finish, they're all gone. Okay, you're talking about a loostar.

  110. We're talking about you know, all these small towns gone.

  111. They're gone. They're gone because they go to kl for studies.

  112. They go to Penang, maybe Singapore sometimes and some overseas,

  113. but mainly these areas, and so they don't have young

  114. people serving.

  115. They don't have campus students.

  116. For sure, and young okay anunts usually are not there

  117. also because they find jobs here. Okay, So churches are

  118. closing down, folks, I want to tell you right now,

  119. I've got news from the ground that even in Pahang itself,

  120. so many churches have closed down.

  121. Alo Star up North Kada. You know, people don't have

  122. the next in line. Okay.

  123. Now, there are young families, I heard, and young families

  124. are probably the only hope with the word young still

  125. there to serve the Lord while you're young.

  126. And this is the thing.

  127. The thing is, you get the first young couple married

  128. and having a baby. The woman is pregnant, and the

  129. guy thinks to himself, because there's no example in the

  130. church that it can be done, he tells the pastor, pastor,

  131. when we give birth to our first child, can you

  132. please give us six months off. The pastor, of course understands,

  133. because we are supposed to be very understanding, and we say,

  134. of course, because first baby is very hard. It's your

  135. first time being a parent. Blah blah blah. Six months,

  136. six months. It turns into one year very easily, my friends,

  137. because you get into a habit, and when he turns

  138. into two years, and by your second year, you're.

  139. Getting pregnant again.

  140. And so now the second child means another one two

  141. years and then hopefully, I don't know, hopefully you don't

  142. get your third, but you know, but you know, because

  143. you want to serve the Lord, and then you might

  144. get your third, and then you find yourself ten years.

  145. Not serving the Lord.

  146. Okay, now listen to me, Listen my heart, because something

  147. has got to change, But where does it start. Something

  148. has got to change, but where does it start. Ninety

  149. nine percent of the young families an extra serve the lot.

  150. Nineteen nine percent.

  151. And I'm just trying to be humble about it because

  152. actually I think it's hundred percent, but you know, maybe not,

  153. maybe not, but it's a high percentage. I can't remember

  154. any young family that I know there's not one, at

  155. least one party.

  156. Serving the lot. But anyway, it's a high percentage.

  157. Maybe maybe let's be let me, let's be humblebout it

  158. as a ninety percent, okay, and in many other churches

  159. it's going to be ten percent.

  160. So I believe that X is blessed like.

  161. This because we are supposed to be a blessing. Means

  162. whenever we travel, we want to tell churches all across

  163. Malaysia it's.

  164. To hold one child another child and say let's go.

  165. I told Bylexandra when we were married twenty nine years ago,

  166. if I had a child, I will not stop serving

  167. the law. Now I know it's tough because there is crying,

  168. there is food, a crankiness, there is you take the

  169. child out after fresh pampers and it pulls right as

  170. you're closing the door of your house to go to church.

  171. Why does it pull only when you're about to go

  172. to church?

  173. Right?

  174. And I told my wife, I said, dear, whatever it is,

  175. I know it's going to be tough. I know it's

  176. going to be tough. But whatever it is, there is

  177. no other option. So you must work your life around

  178. what I call the truth. North work your life around

  179. the unchangeable, because if you don't have that, and everything

  180. is open up in.

  181. Your life for a messy life.

  182. There is no time to sleep, there's no time to

  183. wake up, there's no time to eat, there's no time

  184. to serve. There's nothing you with me. So I see

  185. the thing is that I also know it's tough. I've

  186. seen it. But in my mind that I have this,

  187. as I said, true north, this compass, this compass that

  188. says Jesus is right there in front of me, and

  189. the Bible says, looking ato Jesus, the Author and the

  190. finishing of my faith. So I got to look to Jesus.

  191. And I'll illustrate this towards the end. But you gotta

  192. walk this line, walk this narrow path that leads to life,

  193. because why is the path? Why does the path that

  194. leads to destruction? And I'll show you what it means

  195. towards the end of this message. So the Lord God

  196. Almighty is trying to raise up examples so that he

  197. can bless his body, his church. He's trying to raise

  198. up examples of it can be done, it's possible, so

  199. that when others see, they go like, ah, now it's

  200. getting worse though. Now the young families, or rather the

  201. young couple that's getting married and having a baby. The

  202. wife is pregnant, maybe it's just three, four or five months.

  203. The bump is showing, all right, and the pastor now

  204. goes even one step further and go like, hey, I

  205. can see that you're having a baby. Why don't you

  206. take six months off because we want to do better

  207. by our understanding. And actually it actually sounds very the

  208. most understanding pastor in the world. We might get award

  209. at the end of the month, award at the end

  210. of the year. Now, I also want to be understanding.

  211. But the Lord told me to make disciples, and he

  212. didn't have any scripture says that. And make disciples only

  213. of people who are not pregnant. Make disciples of people

  214. who have only one child to the second child. Don't

  215. don't touch them. There are people don't touch senior citizens

  216. because their retired idea. Let them do their gardening, let

  217. them play golf.

  218. Okay.

  219. The g or LF is going to replace the g

  220. o d okay, and play Sundays some more. So that's

  221. going to be your cathedral, your new cathedral, okay. And

  222. the worship always goes up one like hey, it goes

  223. and it comes right down. I'm joking, I know, but not.

  224. I'm speaking to you hard, too hard, because I'm telling

  225. you right now, twenty twenty five is coming just around

  226. the corner, and you can catch this. I'm telling you,

  227. twenty twenty five can be amazing, it can be prospero Arno.

  228. It can be good, if not great. You don't have

  229. to retire seriously, especially from the Lord and from his calling.

  230. You don't have to. There's so much more in stare.

  231. If you have life and God it's given you breath.

  232. Oh so much more, so much more. Example, example, example,

  233. God is looking for examples. And as long as there's example,

  234. than it is possible. God is looking for examples. The

  235. next slide. Adam was supposed to be an example. He

  236. failed in many ways, and because of Adam's failure, the

  237. rest of us are in a mess. But then he

  238. found Abraham, and Abraham was an example even until he

  239. was ninety one hundred years old. Joseph was met by

  240. Portifas's wife. Sleep with me, sleep with me. Every day

  241. she says, sleep with me, and Joseph says, I can't

  242. do this. I fear God. Moses was an example, supposed

  243. to be the prince of Egypt. Could have had comfortable life,

  244. but instead wanted his calling in state, chose purpose over prosperity.

  245. David was an example, wasn't he and today is still

  246. quoting him a.

  247. Man after God's own heart.

  248. Yes, even with Batdsheba he failed, but then he asked

  249. God to forgive him, and God restored.

  250. Esther.

  251. I had to add one woman's name in here. What

  252. an example? She was going to die if the King

  253. was angry with her for coming into his presence without

  254. him calling her. She said, if I perish, I perish.

  255. I just got to do what's right. Daniel, Jesus himself, Peter, Paul,

  256. Timothy imitate me, is I imitate?

  257. God is looking for examples. The church is.

  258. Looking for examples because so many churches are falling around

  259. the world, leadership problems and all that.

  260. So we're all looking for examples.

  261. How can you be a leader that's integris faithful. Yeah,

  262. very very important. I can go on and all, but

  263. my time's up. The nation is looking for examples.

  264. The nation.

  265. Don't just pray. Become an example is very very important.

  266. Last time, there was one time a li Jua Bing

  267. adubted Lijabing was the state assemblyman of subang Jaya and

  268. Christian and he witnessed to people here in summit. And

  269. he was trying to witness to a to a boss

  270. here at that time, group meda group, a boss who

  271. was not a Christian, and Liu a Bing goes to

  272. him and says, I know a pastor called Kenna Chin

  273. who uses Summit for his church. I want you to

  274. meet him one day, so Liabing said to me. Kenneth passed, Kenneth,

  275. you have time to meet with the senior man of Summit.

  276. I just told him about you. I said, what do

  277. you tell him?

  278. I said, I told him there is a pastor here

  279. who has a church in some it and he is

  280. a man, the only man I know who does whatever

  281. God tells him. That became my testimony here from the

  282. mouth of a status every man to the ears of

  283. a man who is the top guy here, and all

  284. he could summarize about me is this is a man

  285. who does anything and everything God tells him. So I

  286. met him. I'm not sure that he has come to

  287. know the Lord. But nation and leaders are looking for examples.

  288. Everybody. Okay, yeah, our mission.

  289. Let's draw towards the last lap, the last closure of

  290. this message, the last you know gear. I'm moving up

  291. to the last gear now. Our mission purpose in life

  292. is to be examples. All of you know that as

  293. soon as our eyes are open in the morning till

  294. our eyes are closed at night, we have the opportunity

  295. or the opportunities to make a real difference just by

  296. being examples to the people around us and after us.

  297. As a mission needs a vision, so examples need an example.

  298. Do you understand that a mission, every mission needs a vision,

  299. and every example needs an example. Okay, So Jesus came

  300. to the earth to be God's example to the world.

  301. Amen.

  302. Let's look at the scripture John fourteen. I summarize for you.

  303. He says this, Jesus said to his disciples, if you

  304. have seen me, you have seen the Father.

  305. Wow. How confident is that?

  306. Because Jesus was said, because none of us could see

  307. the Father. He's up invisible God. But when he came,

  308. Jesus came, he was not invisible. He was visible. And

  309. everything he did he did after the Father. He says,

  310. if you see me, you see the Father.

  311. I love it.

  312. If you want to know the Father, see Jesus. Read

  313. about Jesus, Read about what he's done. So our vision

  314. an example is Jesus the author and the finisher of

  315. our faith.

  316. Everybody.

  317. Okay, Amen, uh acts subang than the thing.

  318. You don't have to remain so quiet. Tell me that

  319. you're still alive. Am you know?

  320. Some they use it was a phrase they use. Tell

  321. me that you are still a life without telling me

  322. that you're still life. Okay, Jesus is our compass, our

  323. true north. You know, in Christianity, seldom God gives you

  324. a map, but he often gives us a compass. All

  325. of us want a map. Oh, exactly ready to go.

  326. Oh he He didn't give Abraham a map. He gave

  327. Abraham a compass, and it was called faith. And wherever

  328. faith pointed, Abraham went. How to love my wife, how

  329. to forgive him my husband, How to bring up my

  330. first child, how to bring up my second. Jesus, teach

  331. me learn that from books? Go study something. No, no, no, no, no.

  332. Lord.

  333. There's a lot of books out there, too much, too

  334. much opinion, too much voice, too many voices. I just Lord,

  335. show me, Lord, show me how to do church, how

  336. to be a boss, a good supervisor.

  337. No map, but compass.

  338. There will be many voices, many opinions, many many, too many,

  339. too many. Everybody wants to have an opinion. How you

  340. bring up your child? Focus on Jesus and walk a

  341. straight line towards him. This is where I'm going to

  342. do the illustration, and I'm going to close. Remember Peter

  343. walking on water. Why because Peter was walking on water.

  344. So if you go like pasta, I will never walk

  345. on water. But everyone here in this room have your

  346. own water.

  347. You walk on.

  348. When I was walking into my wedding at seven pm sharp,

  349. I was walking on and the tables that were empty

  350. were like the storm that Peter got his eyes on

  351. storm and then he sank.

  352. And a lot of us sometimes don't go all the

  353. way with what.

  354. God has called us to because we keep looking at

  355. other people, other things.

  356. Other challenges are storms. Don't just keep your eyes on

  357. Jesus and you won't sink. And even if you sink,

  358. you know the Lord will catch you.

  359. We're all examples in our own ways, says the next slide,

  360. whether we know it or not, whether we like it

  361. or not.

  362. You know, when you come in late to church, you're

  363. idiot example. You know what you know?

  364. How you become a stronger example when you walk into

  365. church late every Sunday?

  366. Yeah, yeah, you strength, you strengthen.

  367. Once if all all the young people here to see

  368. all like that, whor no, and then somebody will whisper

  369. or don't worry. He's a business man. He makes a

  370. lot of money. So he gives to church, so then

  371. they will learn. As long as you're rich, you can

  372. come late. That's not what you want to leave as

  373. a legacy. We are either examples that it can be

  374. done or that can be done every day, as long

  375. as we have life, live as examples in everything and

  376. that every time until God calls us home.

  377. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  378. information on our church, please visit as church org. We

  379. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  380. this week is going to be a good week. I

  381. hit for you. God bless
