We Are Made To Serve

What are you enjoying so much that you got to

keep God out of the window.

We were made by God to serve, and we will

never be satisfied until you said, be careful, because if

you do not choose the Lord, you're going to serve

one of these Joshow twenty four to fifteen. And if

it seems evil to you to serve the Lord. You know,

when I read this worder, I was a little bit surprised,

have to choose. Now, I got a message for you,

serve the Lord, you're going to serve something.

We were made by God to serve, and we will

never be satisfied until we serve either we're serving our

own desires, serving our fears, serving our passions, serving our.

Masters, serving money.

We are going to be serving somebody or something.

If you agree, say amen, it's true. It's true.

You take your eyes of the Lord, you put them

on your family. And now your wife could be your idol,

your children could be your idol. And now we say

what does God think?

First? You say, what does my son think? First? What

my daughter think first? What are my wife things? First?

So this is true. So Joshua is not letting them go.

He says, you know, guys, let me tell you the truth.

If you're not serving the Lord, you better try who yourself,

because you're.

Going to serve something anyway.

And so this is why he says, choose for yourselves

this day whom you were serf, whether the gods which

your father served that were on the other side of

the river, or the gods of the emirates in whose

land you dwell. Now, this is very important to understand.

What Joshah presented to the people of God was two choices.

He says, you choose whether you serve your past or

whether you serve your future. You know, I recently, in

my quiet time, understood something from the Lord that some

of us could be doing what we're doing and driven

to do what we're doing because of a past event

or someone says something in the past. It could be

a fear, it could be a drive that you know,

you saw how poverty affected your family, so you never

want to be poor, all right, So you're not being

driven by the Lord by his love. You're driven by

not wanting to be poor. Now, while that could be nobler,

is not God. And that's why sometimes God might even

ask you to change the good for the God.

What we want is what God.

So, you know, I tell you when Passandra came into

my life, I looked at her one.

Time and I thought, Wow, I like this one. I

like this one.

I don't know why. From yaada, I like this face.

I like this face. Yeah, not quite much. Salais not

quite Chinese, not quite anything. Just international. That's what she

wants me to tell you. I married an international wife.

When we passed by the immigration of Italy one time,

Now. What happened was every time I prayed, I felt

like I was sinning. I tell you why.

I because when I was six years old, I really

believe in kids ministry.

When I was six years old.

I don't know why I took it seriously like no.

You're bigger than you like girls. You like girls.

I will never like girls six years old, I will

never like girls.

So no girlfriend until this one. No girlfriend.

So some girls were after me because I owe them

money and all the girl stuff.

So so I haven't really to my sentence and it says.

No no no Malay girl, Chinese girl, Indian girl, you

Because I I didn't want to ever break my vow.

Six years old, I made no, Rachel. That's how powerful

this God of the past. Choose will you continue to be.

Driven by the past fears or will you be driven

by your future desires the god of your father's or

your own gods of the future.

Be careful because if you do not choose the Lord,

you're going to serve one of these.

And you better choose. Okay, everybody, okay, And.

I'm doing my doctorate now dB a Doctor of Business Administration.

I was and I was encouraged.

To do it. I'm doing it. It's so tough. It's

so so tough.

I want to tell you all the promises they made me,

all all all wrong. Passal Kenne if you've gotta give

you a doctorate because you got thirty five years of

experience in your ministry, so you just wipe right according

And I don't want this DBA to ever stop me

from pitching because some people are thinking the master's a

want six months off. I don't want to do my

DBA and say, please Pasadenia. I don't have to serve

for six months. I don't know what kind of thing

is that. Who has become your God? You borrow God

for six months from somewhere. I said, God, I'll come

back to you when I'm done. Then you know what

happened because you didn't submit it to God. When you

finally get it, you use it not for good as.

You see.

But if every day you submit to God, say godb

I don't need it. I am already completeing you. But

when I get it, use it as you like. I'm

now getting some calls from the government and saying passa,

And sometimes the doors are not open because there is

no title. So I say, God, if you want to

use it for that reason, use it for that reason.

But I don't need titles. I just need a testimony.

I don't want to go home to be with the

Lord with a thousand titles. I want to go home

with the Lord with just at least one testimony. I

serve the Lord, and I was faithful to God to

the very end.

Getting something of this? Matthew six twenty four. No one

can serve two masters? So you will, serf, you will.

I'm telling you right now, you will. You can I

get into your spirit. You're sitting down here. Oh you

know I'm not serving the Lord. No, no, you will.

You're serving something most times yourself.

But yourself can't get you to heaven, and yourself, you know,

can't get to hear God say, well, do my good

and faithful servel when all is done. That's why he

says he starts with fear. The Lord put him first.

What do you think, God? What do you think? Ah? Okay, okay,

that's why some people get really like, huh, how come

So fear of the Lord. Serve God everybody, okay. But

no one can serve two masters. Now read this with me.

Read this with me. For either he will hate the

one and love the other, or else he will be

loyal to the one and despise the other.

You cannot serve God. Amendment.

Two words that I pick out from here that has

got to do with service is this love and loyal

You cannot two masters because you either will love one

hate the other, or be loyal to one not loyal

to the other.

So I caught from.

Scripture two words that define real service. If you are

serving anything in your life, there will be two else.

At least you will love it, and therefore because you

love it, you will hate the other.

Thing that stops you from doing it.

With me, one guy told his professor, a professor, I

think I can't believe in Jesus anymore.

Professor ask him why?

Or because I thought about it, even prayed about it,

and I consider everything, and I realize, oh, Jesus can

me real.

Jesus can be real.

So the professor, who has forty years of experience behind him,

look at the student in his eyes and said, tell me,

how are you enjoying sexual intimacy with your girlfriend? He

actually said it strongler, I'm just trying to be kinder

with my words. And the guy's eyes open up, said, professor,

I'm telling you about Jesus and you're telling me about

me sleeping with my girlfriend. So yeah, because you must

be enjoying something so much that Jesus has to go

out the window. So it's either your girlfriend goes out

the window or Jesus. After about half an hour, he

cries and he repents. He says, yes, almost every day

I'm with my girlfriend, and I know that Jesus is

the one that makes me feel guilty for doing this,

So I don't want to feel guilty doing this anymore

because I like being with my girlfriend, so I don't

to feel guilty. So who has to go out the window. Jesus.

Jesus has to go out. He says, you haven't thought

about it. Your brain is not so big that you

can suddenly discover that this God is not real. Your

brain is small, so is mine. Our puny brains cannot

understand God. And then you tell me that you have

researched and you've read and you've thought it true. No,

I'm telling you right now, something is coming against your

real desire and God's desire.

So who gets kicked out most of the time?

God, Bye bye God, Bye bye Sunday, Bye bye service.

Now we can go out there and have our conscious clear,

we think, but it's not. Our conscious is not clear.

It's seared with a hot iron. It's become dead to God.

Everybody.

Okay, so this this, this this first time I heard

the professor telling me. That was in Australia.

He said.

I just looked in him straight in the eye and said,

what are you enjoying so much that you've got to

kick God out of the window? And okay, I know

it's quite it's quiet now, But that's why we're talking

about love and loyalty. If you love something, you gotta

hate something. See you're gonna hate the opposite of it.

If you love God, you gonna hate sin. If you're

loyal to one, you're gonna be disloyal to the other.

So you gotta choosey, Okay, choose. Let's go.

Then, Jesus said to him, away with you, Satan, for

it is written you shall worship the Lord, your God,

and him only. So this is the thing. It has

to be Him only. I underlined emboldened those words Him only.

Shall you serve not yourself, not your dreams, not your past,

not your fears, not anything him.

Somebody said, him only. It starts with worship.

Worship will bring you to the place where you serve

Him only.
