  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. A horse that has been tested has been broken, means

  4. that the horses the will is not a wild will,

  5. but a will totally submitted to the master who rides

  6. it for his purpose. It's for his will, it's for

  7. his plans, his purposes, and he has got great plans

  8. for your life and mine. Can I hear a good amail?

  9. You know? In this world, people go for skill, they

  10. go for talent, strength, experience. Oh, people go for brains

  11. and beauty, ability, and of affluence. That's how the world works, right,

  12. isn't that true? That's how we choose. God chooses broken people,

  13. but we choose perfect people. We choose people with all

  14. the skills and all the talent. When God wanted wanted

  15. to choose musicians, he chooses broken musicians because broken musicians

  16. bring about the best, most beautiful music and lyrics. You know,

  17. Compare one who has never suffered and he writes a song.

  18. And compare and compare to one who has suffered so

  19. much pain and brokenness and he writes a song or

  20. she writes a song. See which of the songs touches

  21. you more, goes further ministers, and gives God more glory.

  22. When broken people step up to do what God has

  23. called them to do, they create more than just excellence

  24. and eloquence. They release an anointing, don't they, As David

  25. did when he ministered to King Saul with music. It

  26. David didn't have perfection. David, you know, was probably rejected

  27. many times. The father almost forgot that he had the

  28. eighth son. You know, when the prophet asked for all

  29. the sons to pass by, and God was choosing the

  30. next king had the prophet had to ask, do you

  31. have one anymore sons? And if other you know, oh yeah,

  32. one more. He's not around his he's out there taking

  33. care of a few sheep. And the prophet Prophet Samuel said,

  34. we won't sit down until he comes. Youngest RADI looking,

  35. you know, inexperience. David played the harp, and he didn't

  36. just play as one who was like known to be

  37. a top musician. But when he was playing, annoying and

  38. came forth removed the distressing, depressing spirit from King Saulile

  39. first disciple first is truly counterculture to go against the

  40. ways of the world. That always just looks at perfection

  41. and beauty and talent and skill. God looks at the heart,

  42. you know, friends, something of God is produced in us

  43. only through brokenness. That's why it has to happen. It

  44. only happens, you know. Like for example, when you think

  45. about the pearl, the pearl can only be formed no

  46. other way except that some irritant, some dirt goes into

  47. the oyster. And what happens is that there is a

  48. chemical that is released and a protection mechanism comes about,

  49. and it begins to form a beautiful, precious pearl. That

  50. peerl doesn't happen without the irritation. That which God wants

  51. to bring about in our lives, that is more precious

  52. than God, doesn't happen until brokenness happens. It cannot be

  53. obtained in any other way. And that which is produced

  54. in us is exactly what God needs to fulfill his

  55. plans and purposes in and through our lives. What is

  56. God after? It could be humility, It could be compassion.

  57. It could be patience. It could be respect. It could

  58. be disciplined. It could be submission. It could be forgiveness,

  59. The ability to show mercy and not be so judgmental.

  60. When we don't go through brokenness, we still hold on,

  61. you know, to things that we feel. We are we

  62. have the right to feel, and we feel like you know,

  63. that guy doesn't deserve this. He doesn't deserve my forgiveness,

  64. He doesn't deserve my mercy. You know, we still have

  65. an amount of arrogance, but we don't call it arrogance.

  66. We call it and cover it with another name and

  67. give it an excuse, and see, I have every right

  68. to feel this way. Blah blah blah. But it's only

  69. when we are broken that something is produced. We begin

  70. to see things in a very different light. In the end,

  71. it's really the breaking of our will. Our will is

  72. very strong, so breaking happens so that our will can

  73. be broken, so that God's will can be done in

  74. our lives. Remember what Jesus said, nevertheless, not my will,

  75. but yours be done. How many of you have ever

  76. seen a beautiful painting of wild horses, Oh, they are

  77. the most beautiful things. Wild horses are only good for paintings.

  78. You will never be able to ride a wild horse

  79. into war. A general will never ride a horse that

  80. has never been tested. And what is a horse that

  81. has been tested. A horse that has been tested has

  82. been broken, means that the horse's will is not a

  83. wild will, but a will totally submitted to the master

  84. who rides it for his purpose. Don't just be a

  85. beautiful painting where people just go and look at you

  86. and go like wow ooh my miye so nice, but no,

  87. godly use You know when breaking is complete, when you

  88. don't go back to who you were before. If you

  89. find that after the breaking of a few weeks, maybe

  90. you know, let's say, for example, you were rude to

  91. your wife, or maybe you were so impatient, very impatient

  92. with your children, and then you find you know, you

  93. are humbled for a few weeks, and then by the

  94. fourth week, you know you think that okay, now I

  95. think I'm better. I think I'm better, I think I'm better. Okay, God,

  96. i think I've learned it. Let's already now, can you

  97. please end the breaking? And then you know the law

  98. is very silent. And then three hours later your children

  99. do something and then you find yourself backing at them

  100. because maybe it's still in you. It's still in you,

  101. and God is still working. So really, at the end,

  102. they don't tell God when he should finish. He knows

  103. when he's finished. And this is what you need to

  104. be looking for. You look for this. I don't want

  105. to go back to who I was before, and through

  106. all the testing you find. Yeah, I think I really

  107. have got it now. I think I really have got

  108. a better hold of my temper. Now I think I

  109. got a better hold of my mouth. Now I think

  110. I've got a better hold of my thoughts. Now I

  111. think I've got a better control of the way I react.

  112. Now I am really changed. No, no, but not because

  113. I say it. I'm changed, but because God allowed the time. Again,

  114. Please don't short change God. Don't be impatient, learn to surrender.

  115. God knows exactly. Okay, there will be a version two,

  116. if not a virgin three of you and me. It

  117. will be a much better version. Somebody say, Amen, so

  118. much better version, and we will be more ready to

  119. do God's will. Amen. Now remember the woman Mary of

  120. Bethany who broke the Allah bastar flash. What happened? You know?

  121. It was so costly the disciples even thought what a

  122. waste the woman broke. It takes the breaking alabaster flask

  123. filled with costly spikenard perfume. You know, when she broke

  124. that and anointed jesus head with that precious oil. Can

  125. you imagine the fragrance. It's not just Jesus could smell it.

  126. It's not just the woman who could smell it. It's

  127. not just the people who are seated nearby. If you

  128. want to fill a room with the fragrance of the Lord,

  129. then take the opportunity that God has given you and

  130. I the opportunity of breaking. And let that breaking not

  131. bring bitterness, not bring anger and a shout, what a waste.

  132. But let that breaking, it is happening in your heart

  133. and my heart, be one that will bring about a

  134. costly fragrance is a fragrance from a broken life and

  135. being in Bethany, says Mark, chapter fourteen, verse three, six

  136. eight nine. Being in Bethany at the house of Simon

  137. the Lepper, as he sat at the table, a woman came,

  138. having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikee nat.

  139. Then she broke the flowers hallelujah, and poured it on

  140. his head. There was no other way, ladies and gentlemen,

  141. There was no other way for this fragrance to be

  142. experienced by everybody, except that the thing that held the

  143. fragrance be broken. She broke the flowers and poured it

  144. on his head. But Jesus said, let her alone. Why

  145. do you trouble her? She has done a good work

  146. for me. You know, friends, when I think about brokenness,

  147. I think about this very thing that God allows is

  148. not just for us, but it's for him. Think about

  149. it for a moment, because too many of us always

  150. think about ourselves. Right, Why me? Why now? Why are

  151. the inconvenience? Why so hard? Why the burden on my

  152. loved ones? Why? Why? And it's a lot of us

  153. me And it's not totally wrong, because it's natural. But

  154. the supernatural way of seeing it is that God allows

  155. breaking and brokenness because at the end of the day,

  156. it's for him. It's for his will, it's for his plans,

  157. his purposes, and He has got great plans for your

  158. life and mind. Can I hear a good amen? She

  159. has done what she could. She has come beforehand to annoying.

  160. There you go again, what annoyed? That's what breaking is

  161. for my body, for burial, As surely I say to you,

  162. wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world. What

  163. this woman has done will also be told as a

  164. memorial for her. Remember that Jesus was let into the

  165. wilderness to be tempted. But remember this also. I said

  166. it before, I'll say it again. What God allows, Satan

  167. will take advantage. So when God allowed me to go

  168. through this injury and to go through this time of

  169. recovery and through this time of waiting, and I have

  170. been in pain, and I have been broken, and I

  171. have been you know, crying out to God, I have

  172. all those times up and down. And as God allows this,

  173. the flies will come. You know, like when you cooked

  174. a really good meal. You put the plate of good food,

  175. good smelling food on the table, and then the flies

  176. start coming. The flies didn't come when the dish is

  177. not done. Satan like a fly. By Elzeba, the Bible

  178. calls him lord of the flies. He is a fly.

  179. He's the lord of the flies. All right. We don't

  180. like flies in our kitchen. We don't like flies in

  181. our home and our lives. All right. When you see

  182. all those countries where there's poverty and there's illness and

  183. all that kind of stuff, you see flies is coming

  184. onto people's faces, faces of children. Right, that's a very

  185. demonic picture. Really, and we don't want flies, We don't

  186. want The Lord of flies bells them, but we don't

  187. want him. But he will come. The Lord would allow,

  188. and Satan would take advantage. Remember the forbidden tree in

  189. the garden of Eden. God allowed the tree to be there,

  190. you know, and that very one tree broke Adam. And

  191. if God allowed it, but who was taking advantage of it? Satan?

  192. God would allow you some people are people be asking

  193. of today? Why did God allow the tree to be there?

  194. If he knew you shouldn't be eaten? Well, that's how

  195. people get broken. Meaning you say that Adam and Eve

  196. didn't need you sin. But just by saying no, I

  197. can't take this fruit, No I can't, that's a level

  198. of brokenness because if you can say yes to everything,

  199. then we don't have to feel pain suffering, we don't

  200. have to feel inhibited, we don't have to feel anything

  201. except yay, I can do anything I want to do.

  202. I'm a lord of my life, you know. God put

  203. a tree there to say no, you are not God

  204. of everything. I am God of everything. And so just

  205. by saying no and bending your will to God's will,

  206. that's a form of brokenness. But listen, the devil came

  207. and tried to short change that brokenness and told them

  208. and Eve that they can do anything, they can be

  209. like God. So instead of being broken God's way, they

  210. were broken by Satan, ultimately by a lie. Don't listen

  211. to Satan's lives. Now, let's look at Luke four one, thirteen,

  212. and fourteen. Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit,

  213. returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit

  214. into the wilderness. Or even Jesus himself, the son of God,

  215. was brought led by the Holy Spirit into a place

  216. of breaking. That's what wilderness and desert is is not

  217. a party, is not a buffet. It's a place of isolation, nothingness.

  218. But Jesus was led by the Spirit. Now, when the

  219. devil had ended every temptation, says verse thirteen, he departed

  220. from Jesus until an opportune time. Now I underline opportune

  221. time because I have recognized opportune time to mean that

  222. Satan came when Jesus was being broken in the wilderness.

  223. That is the first opportune time. And so the next

  224. opportune time will be when Jesus will go through breaking again.

  225. And so the devil is an opportunist. He will take

  226. opportunity in an opportune time. But maybe you didn't understand

  227. what opportunity time meant is because we don't go through

  228. breaking every day. We don't go through breaking even every year,

  229. or maybe some level of it, but not always painful,

  230. not always desperate. So the devil knows that he can

  231. only get to you, can he can really really get

  232. to you at the opportune time, meaning the opportunity and

  233. time that God allowed something to happen. That is his

  234. opportune time God allowed it. Otherwise you will always be

  235. protected by God. Right, you will always be covered by God. Right,

  236. God would allow nothing bad to happen to you. But

  237. when God allows something that seems to be bad in

  238. the eyes of the world, you see because at all

  239. other times, you're always covered, you're always provided for. And

  240. then sometimes God just allows something. You know that opportune

  241. time Satan is waiting for because that's when he believes

  242. he can get you. Are you going through a breaking

  243. time now, a brokenness, a painful suffering time? Now be

  244. careful because this is this is an opportune time for

  245. Satan as well. But don't allow him to have any opportunity. Amen,

  246. But you and I can take the opportunity in Christ

  247. to do what. Let me read the last verse there,

  248. verse fourteen. Then Jesus returned in the power of the

  249. Spirit to Galilee, and news of him went out through

  250. all the surrounding region. We will come back with power,

  251. ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters. Are you listening to me?

  252. Do you hear my heart? I also believe in Christ

  253. that I will come out of this suffering, out of

  254. this brokenness, out of this cave, out of you know,

  255. my time of recovery, with the power of the Holy Spirit. Now,

  256. if I read this to you again, you will see

  257. three things. It says in verse one, Jesus, being filled

  258. with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was

  259. led by the Spirit. So verse one already says phil

  260. and Lead. Why is the Bible so specific? Because sometimes

  261. we can be filled by the spirit, and many of

  262. you are, but not Lead. It's not complete. We all

  263. want to be filled with the Holy Spirit, but we

  264. also want to be led. So don't just be filled. Everybody.

  265. Come on, in the name of Jesus, I pray that

  266. God will fill you more and more. Even those of

  267. you who are not filled, lift up your hands say yes, Lord,

  268. I desire to be filled. But number two, we want

  269. to be led by your Holy Spirit. Lead every decision,

  270. every direction that we can take or should take. Oh God,

  271. we want you not only to fill us, but to

  272. lead us. But number three, listen, there's a difference being filed.

  273. That's a difference being led. And finally, there's a difference

  274. being or having the power of the Spirit. Feel led

  275. and empowered.

  276. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
