  1. You're listening to a message to go from ex Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Most of us are.

  4. Afraid that we will fail. Where is our confidence?

  5. Really?

  6. He will still use the poor to pull the shamder

  7. rich and the weak to pull the shander the strong.

  8. We want to know about confidence a little bit more today.

  9. Let's look at the scripture.

  10. In the fear of the Lord, there is strong confidence,

  11. and his children will have a place of refuge.

  12. I like that.

  13. The fear of the law is important when you feel God.

  14. The mable says, not only confidence, you will have strong

  15. somebody is strong confidence, strong confidence, and his children.

  16. Will have a place of refuge. I like this promise

  17. because most of us are afraid that we will fail.

  18. But when there's strong confidence, you will have refuge.

  19. So he's a promise.

  20. When God gives you strong confidence, he also assures you

  21. as his children that you will always have a place

  22. of refuge. You will be therefore safe when you are

  23. given confidence from the Lord. Next scripture, being confident of

  24. this very thing, that He who has begun a good

  25. work in you will complete it until the day of

  26. Jesus Christ. Somebody say, amen, God has begun a good

  27. work in all of us.

  28. Do you believe it? All of us? Everyone in his room.

  29. God has begun a good work. But he doesn't just begin,

  30. He will complete it.

  31. So we are all still work in progress ahead by

  32. God will complete and we will be more and more

  33. like Jesus. Isn't that our goal to be more like him?

  34. So let's talk about the first confidence. First confidence is

  35. all of Christianity is found in one name. It is

  36. not found in a denomination, is not found us in

  37. a church or a church building. Is not found just

  38. in doctrine or in religious teachings, or in your dressing

  39. or in the in the cross you wear around your neck.

  40. It is not It's not found in your heritage. Oh

  41. my father is a pastor, or my grandfather was the bishop.

  42. He's not found there. God made it very simple that

  43. even children can not only understand, but follow, because it's

  44. not in a practice only or a principlony. It's in

  45. a person aliah that Christianity is found in the person.

  46. You don't just follow a religion.

  47. You follow a person, and in him he's found all

  48. the authority and all the power and all the salvation

  49. that you and I need all the healing, all the prosperity,

  50. all the joy, all the peace.

  51. He is the Prince of peace. It's him a man.

  52. Now, let's very quickly read some scripture found in First Concianceept.

  53. The Two. I would like to say that this is

  54. one of my favorite scriptures. And I told my wife

  55. that if I go before her and she, you know,

  56. erects at.

  57. Tombstone, that she can put this scripture somewhere in the tombstone,

  58. because the last ten years I've kept going back to

  59. this partial of scripture, because I keep being reminded by

  60. the Holy Spirit that this is an important reminder for

  61. me as a servant of God, but also for all

  62. of you.

  63. Let's read it together, and I'm rethen.

  64. This is Paul the Apostle, writing, when I came to you,

  65. did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom,

  66. declining to you the testimony of God.

  67. For I determined, I underline this whole sentence.

  68. I determine not to know anything among you except Jesus

  69. Christ and him crucified. I was with you in weakness,

  70. in fear, and in much trembling. Can you imagine the

  71. Apostle Paul being in weakness in fear and in much trembling,

  72. and my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive

  73. words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit

  74. and of power, that your faith should not be in

  75. the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

  76. Let's talk about.

  77. Confidence in a very honest way right now, Okay? Can

  78. I be honest? Can we be just real open? Where

  79. is our confidence really?

  80. You know? I think about talking with people who have

  81. left churches and gone to other churches.

  82. Right Sometimes they're let in a good way, let in

  83. a god way. And I was also let out of

  84. sib Kre. Doctor Chewing Chi was once upon a time

  85. my senior pastor. I went from FGAKL to sib I

  86. love FGKL, and I wouldn't have left, but God says go,

  87. and I was offered a to be the youth pastor

  88. of SIBKL.

  89. And I love SIBKL so much.

  90. The two pastors, Pastor doctor Chewing Chi and his wife,

  91. Pastor Li Chew were so dynamic, so loving. I never

  92. wanted to leave SIBKR. And then the Lord says, remember

  93. the vision given you. So I left SIBKL and started

  94. the church with two people. I told the members of

  95. that church in Sibkl to the young people. Because I

  96. was a youth pastor, I said, and I grew the

  97. youth group from twelve people to one hundred and twenty

  98. in three years, and all glory to God.

  99. But I told all the young people you are not

  100. allowed to follow me.

  101. The last thing I want to do is to break

  102. young people's hearts and also to break the church. It's

  103. very important to understand this. Okay, the Lord told me,

  104. don't do it. Don't allow anyone to follow you. Some

  105. of them wonder to follow. I said, no, you are

  106. to stay. Only two people follow me, Elder King.

  107. Ya and another brother called Ryan, who went to start

  108. his own church. After that. Many were seven years later.

  109. And so the follow me out because they followed me

  110. into sib as well, and so in fact, if in fact,

  111. when it came to them, so I told them, you

  112. better pray about it. Don't just follow me because you

  113. like me. You got to know because church is where

  114. God places you.

  115. When I talk to.

  116. People who have left, okay, not just from ex but

  117. from anywhere, let me just be very honest with you.

  118. Sometimes I agree with the way they left or the

  119. reason they left.

  120. Sometimes I go.

  121. Because when I ask them for the reason, they will

  122. tell me the other place I went to. The worship

  123. is more alive, The pastor is more.

  124. Practical.

  125. Uh, he's funny, he connects. The teaching is deeper, right,

  126. and so on and so forth. Do you realize, without

  127. even thinking too much about it, do you realize that

  128. when you say this and that, abc whatever the reason

  129. is that you have left, you are actually also saying

  130. that in these things I put my confidence.

  131. Think about it for a moment.

  132. Because as I go through the slides of you, I

  133. just want to remind you today that your confidence and

  134. my confidence should be in Jesus, meaning that if He

  135. is still here, then so should you.

  136. I don't know how. Sometimes you sell your church when

  137. a friend comes and hey, you know, do you like

  138. your church? Of course I love acts, and if you

  139. give all the reasons.

  140. Why you love, accept Jesus. I fear that your confidence

  141. is in all the things. Because God can take away things.

  142. He can take away lights, sound, he can allow a

  143. pandemic to happen, and He took away everything. Some big

  144. churches with big sound systems told me there are churches

  145. who were like white elephants, and they have to reconsider

  146. what is it we are building. And now more and

  147. more senior.

  148. Pasces are telling me past we want to be like you.

  149. Grow small.

  150. You know they have four thousand people in the church,

  151. eight thousand people in the church, and some of them

  152. have already Fga is one of those where I went

  153. to speak there.

  154. They took me for lunch and the.

  155. Leader said, if you want to do like what you

  156. have done, I think the pandemic has taught us a

  157. lesson growing small.

  158. Can still grow while.

  159. In pandemic, but you are not allowed to go into

  160. your big building. You understand, we rethink where our confidence is.

  161. So even you at church, I pray that people ask

  162. you why you're here. You say, because Jesus is here.

  163. He is here, he is alive. And every Sunday when

  164. I come, he does something in my heart.

  165. He changes my life. You heard the testimony just now right.

  166. Our God, our God, his name is Jesus, our God,

  167. is in the business of transformation, with or without music.

  168. Think about it for a moment. Now, many of us

  169. actually like eloquent speakers.

  170. I think if he, if.

  171. He or she came up here and was not at

  172. least decently eloquent with his English language, and he just

  173. went I, I uh, good morning, my name is and

  174. I uh I. You know, you think, you think for

  175. a moment, because Paul the Apostle is saying that he

  176. did not come with eloquence of speech.

  177. Paul Apostle, So.

  178. I wonder how because because a lot of times we

  179. chase after speakers.

  180. Also.

  181. Yeah, for many years, I made it a point not

  182. to invite speakers from overseas to come and do our conferences.

  183. I made it a point no because I don't like

  184. speakers for overseas. I tell you they have been a

  185. blessing to us many, many times.

  186. But for many years, many many years, Malaysian church.

  187. Has been so caught up with Caucasian speakers, so caught

  188. up with white skinned speakers.

  189. That means like if.

  190. You're white, you're right, because they come with their language,

  191. they come with their accent, they come. You know, Okay,

  192. now I know there's a white brother sitting here. You go,

  193. oh no, no, no, no, no, okay, you're friends. But you know,

  194. I have to say it because for years when I

  195. was growing up, I don't know why Malaysians and maybe

  196. even Southeast Asians maybe Asians always look.

  197. Up to the white men, and I tell you.

  198. Looking up is all right. But when they look up,

  199. they look down on themselves. They look down on their

  200. national speakers. They look down on speakers that have their

  201. own same skin color, and they.

  202. Have the shape of the eyes.

  203. Thy now, hello, right, we look down. That's why I'm

  204. telling you right now, I've studied it a little bit,

  205. not a lot, but I'll study you a little bit.

  206. God is allowing revivals to happen outside of white Land.

  207. Even God is trying to give us a message. Where

  208. revivals are happening Korea.

  209. Africa, it's moving away from the White Land.

  210. I'm telling you because for years and years, and it's

  211. not that they're wrong, is that that we are.

  212. Having a wrong perspective. So I refuse.

  213. I say, what message are we giving to our young

  214. people when we always celebrate only one color? And so

  215. if we bring them, it's going to be good. If

  216. we don't have them, it's not going to be good.

  217. Very important. Our young people are looking up. They're trying

  218. to catch the message that the older ones are giving them.

  219. And so we need to celebrate more of our local

  220. people so that they when the younger people say, oh here,

  221. that guy that looks like me.

  222. Can you speak to.

  223. Oh?

  224. He can heal too well. He can do marvelous things too.

  225. God wants to celebrate because out of every tribe, tongue,

  226. and nation we were standing before the Lord. Did you

  227. say we were staying behind a different color? We will

  228. all be celebrated, every tongue, try nation. Are you always me?

  229. This is very important?

  230. So we've heard about colonization and we say, oh we merdecca,

  231. are we independent?

  232. Think about it for a while.

  233. So ours may be independent on the outside but still

  234. colonize on the inside.

  235. It is the way we see.

  236. Yeah. Anyway, okay, I'm telling you right now. God can

  237. use the lack of eloquence, the lack of academic background.

  238. He will still use the poor to pull the shamder,

  239. rich and the weak to pull the shamder.

  240. The shock or the foolish to pull the shamder. Why

  241. are you also doing me? I hope that you are

  242. encouraged it. Where is our confidence?

  243. Because I'm telling you right now, if your confidence was

  244. just in eloquence, and because the guy has got exceent

  245. and because I don't know, I mean sometimes I'm looking

  246. at the past us, you know, in different places and

  247. diferent countries.

  248. Right now, you know they're really working out.

  249. The body is getting bigger and the shirt is getting tighter,

  250. and there's a sudden style.

  251. Now skinny jeans.

  252. I tell you what, I don't put skinn jeans on

  253. because you guys will run away.

  254. You'd be speaking to Bah and closing your eye and

  255. say save us.

  256. More.

  257. Too much is being revealed. I tried skinny GE's one time.

  258. Two of the legs can't even go one into one, okay,

  259. joke aside.

  260. I try to put you know, tight shirt on. It

  261. really reveal different things.

  262. I was very wavy, you know, wavy, but you know

  263. there's a sudden style. And you and I, if you're

  264. not careful, can like styles. I see more and more

  265. speakers and was ship beats.

  266. Wearing white shoes, so you know, because I also watch

  267. to reduced somebody's views coming home. The style a style.

  268. Turning off all the lights is a star.

  269. We keep the lights on because I think that's what

  270. heaven is. I mean, if you're expect to go to heaven,

  271. it is very dark.

  272. Jesus is so bright.

  273. The Bible says he there's no need for son because

  274. he will be the sun. So you know, when I

  275. put all the lights on, I'm just training all of

  276. you for Heaven. I'm not putting the other churches down

  277. that are using you.

  278. Know less it's best.

  279. No, I'm very careful not to put other churches down

  280. because they are all accountable to God themselves, and so

  281. are we. Maybe they are all being God. Maybe God

  282. did say turn off the lights. I don't know, but

  283. he didn't tell that to me.

  284. And we won't just copy paste, copy paste, copy paste.

  285. We must be obedient to his voice, faithful amen everyway.

  286. Okay, So is your confidence in having no lights? Is

  287. your confidence in the sound system, because we're both about

  288. it right, confidence in your top guitarists.

  289. Top drummers. The drums don't even have drums, car on

  290. so you can't even spell it.

  291. And she's card John you know, Carjornithan you know. Okay,

  292. I hope I'm getting to you.

  293. So if poll the apostle think about this and then

  294. I'll move on. Sat here.

  295. And mumble and stumble because he said I have no

  296. eloquence and what else did the scriptors say?

  297. I came I was with you in weakness.

  298. No preacher wants to show you weakness, because why would

  299. you listen to them? Right?

  300. We want to see style.

  301. As shoes, nice cold hair, you know, maybe a nice

  302. chain round.

  303. And now I don't I don't know.

  304. What what what see Jesus said about John about this?

  305. He told the people, what did you come out to see?

  306. Powerful Jesus is always challenging us, what did you come

  307. out to see? Wow?

  308. But I was with you in weakness, in fear m.

  309. I wonder how maever you will go up to apostle

  310. polity advice saying no, no possible. You know, don't be afraid.

  311. He's telling you he is afraid and in much trembling.

  312. Can you imagine a preacher here trembling. That's why they

  313. have this big PuO pits. They have this big pool pitts.

  314. I don't know why we don't have it because big

  315. poopets help cover the fact.

  316. That your knees are having close fellowship. But he's he's

  317. here with much trembling.

  318. So how many of us, and this would be my

  319. last example, but how many of us would like stand

  320. up and go to the toilet when Paul is speaking,

  321. or scroll your phone not knowing that he is palled

  322. the apostle whose letters you are living your life by.

  323. But he's a good writer somewhere else pause it, they

  324. say where his writings are amazing, But his presence, you know,

  325. his physical presence.

  326. I think he was bored. He shaved and took a vow.

  327. I think he was shot.

  328. Jilly yes day when you brought up that he spoke

  329. and spoke and spoke and spoke until a young man died, right,

  330. I mean just laughing I did. He could have been

  331. a boring preacher. And the young man knows he fell

  332. off the that flaw died and jo side. But you

  333. know what I'm saying, he could have been boring. I mean,

  334. would you have walked out of apostle Paul? See, the

  335. thing is the danger is we can be walking out

  336. of the very thing that God is gifting to you.

  337. Just because our confidence is in all.

  338. Other things so boring doesn't mean that God is not there.

  339. Where is our confidence?

  340. Really?

  341. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  342. information on our church, please visit as Church Do RG.

  344. that this week is going to be a good week.
