You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Be anxious for nothing, Oh good reminder, But in everything,
-
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, that your request we
-
make known to God and the peace of God, who
-
supposes all understanding. Will God your hearts and minds true
-
Christ Jesus. Let me tell you the difference between prayer
-
and supplication, because maybe somebodys when you look at this versa,
-
you go like, I wonder, what's talking about. Well, prayer
-
in the Greek or let's go Greek now is prosuke? Prosueke?
-
All right? Is spelled up there right, prosuke? And supplication
-
is diesis diesis okay? Prosuke means a general kind of
-
prayer where you worship the Lord and praise him and
-
you declare his glory, and you make sure that before
-
you pray, you know who it is you're praying to.
-
So in your worship and praise and thanksgiving, you remember
-
that this God is sovereign, that he is King of King's,
-
Lord of lords, and nothing is impossible for him. That's
-
why worship is very important before you pray, because you
-
need to see God as he is. Remember Hebrews eleven,
-
verse six. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
-
But he who comes to God must believe that He is,
-
and He is the rewarder of those who diligiently seek him.
-
He is a rewarder. So before you pray, you gotta
-
know who he is. And so prosuke everything. By prosuke
-
means start with praise, start with worship, start with glorifying God,
-
and then makes application. And what DSIs means is pacific supplication.
-
So you praise God first, worship him. You know, make
-
sure that you are found in the spirit, because by
-
worship and pray in tongues magnifying God, you are now
-
in the realm of the Spirit. And only in the
-
realm of the Spirit. You will pray Spirit lead press,
-
because if you're not in the spirit, you've been a
-
flesh and you will pray flesh lead press. You should
-
be filled with fear and anxiety and worry. Everybody. Okay,
-
still with me.
