So this morning we are going to consider biblical

manhood. What is it to be a man or a biblical

man? I'm gonna make that distinction Okay, so

when I'm speaking of a man, I'm speaking of a

biblical man. That's our goal There are men in

the world and we would say yeah that guy's acting

as a man because he's doing the things a man

should do But he's not a biblical man because

he's not a Christian. He's not ordering his life

according to God's ways or not seeking God's

glory. So our goal is to be a man, be doing these

things that men should do, but with a proper

motivation and in addition to those things, a

biblical man does spiritual things as well. He's

not just doing these outward things. but he's

ordering his spiritual life in a certain way

also. Okay, so I want to make that distinction.

That's our goal. We want to be biblical men.

Men who are ordering our lives in all ways according

to God's word. So, the first question I have

here then, is there a distinction, if we're going

to talk about men, Between men and women right

better answer that question. We kind of already

have And we looked at Genesis for that last week

God made them male and female okay, so we have

men and women we have difference a difference

between them The next question I have here is

are there different roles for men and women in

this world What do we think? Are there? Have

you thought about that? Are men and women, yeah,

we're different biologically, but we all do the

same things. Is that an accurate statement? I

would say no, not according to scripture. That

there are roles for men and women, and they are

different. They are not the same. Let's look

at a couple verses here. Genesis chapter 1 We've

Genesis 1 · chapter mention

already read these last week, but we'll read

them again We'll just begin in verse 26 Genesis

1 26 then God said let us make man in our image

according to our likeness And let them rule over

the fish of the sea and over the birds of the

sky over the cattle and over all the earth and

over every creeping thing that creeps on the

earth God created man in his own image in the

image of God he created him male and female he

created them God bless them and God said to them

be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and

subdue it rule over the fish of the sea over

the birds of the sky over every living thing

that moves on the earth and then if we go to

chapter 2 Begin here in verse 15 Then the Lord

God took the man and put him into the garden

of Eden to cultivate it and keep it the Lord

God commanded the man saying From any tree of

the garden you may eat freely But from the tree

of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not

eat for in the day that you eat from it You will

surely die And the Lord God said is not good

for man to be alone. I'll make him a helper suitable

for him and out of the ground Out of the ground

the Lord God formed every beast of the field

and every bird of the sky and brought them to

the man to see what he would call them. And whatever

the man called a living creature, that was its

name. The man gave names to all the cattle, to

the birds of the sky, to every beast of the field,

but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable

for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep

to fall upon the man and he slept. And he took

one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that

place the Lord God fashioned into A woman, the

rib which he had taken from the man and brought

her to the man. The man said, this is now bone

of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall

be called woman because she was taken out of

man. And for this reason a man shall leave his

father and his mother and be joined to his wife

and they shall become one flesh. And the man

and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

So this is of course before sin. And so then

let's look here after. after sin entered into

the world. Let's look at this curse. And we're

just gonna begin here in verse, well, we'll start

at 14 here, where the serpent is cursed as well.

The Lord God said to the serpent, chapter three,

verse 14. The Lord God said to the serpent, because

you have done this, cursed are you more than

all cattle, and more than every beast in the

field. your belly you will go and dust you will

eat all the days of your life and I will put

enmity between you and the woman and between

your seed and her seed he shall bruise you on

the head and you shall bruise him on the heel

and to the woman he said I will greatly multiply

your pain and childbirth in pain you will bring

forth children yet your desire will be for your

husband and he will rule over you Then to Adam

he said because you have listened to the voice

of your wife and have eaten from the tree About

which I commanded you saying you shall not eat

from it Cursed is the ground because of you in

toil You will eat of it all the days of your

life both thorns and thistles It shall grow for

you, and you will eat the plants of the field

by the sweat of your face you will eat bread

Till you return to the ground because from it

you were taken for you are dust and to dust you

shall return What's the point of all that? Do

you see how God treats each of them? He says

to Adam, He gives Adam this authority. We've

talked about this already, but He gives Adam

authority. Where do we see that authority? In

him naming and taking dominion. Now the woman

was also told to take some dominion there when

the Lord, He spoke that command to both of them,

be fruitful and multiply, subdue the earth and

so on. But we see Adam given authority there

in the naming, naming of all the creatures, and

then he names Eve. She's brought to him. And

what was Eve called? She was called a helper.

Was Adam anywhere called a helper? No, he wasn't.

We see elsewhere in the New Testament the fact

that a man is to lead. And why is he to lead?

Because he's a man? Is that where his leadership

comes from? Because he's a man? comes because

he was created first we're told because he was

created first and the Lord gave him that authority

gave him that leadership told him to lead okay

so throughout scripture we have these differences

between men and women we're going to deal with

the differences next week I think next week when

we look at women the roles of women but they

are different women were created to be a help

to the man That's important. It's important that

we understand that The curse Where were the who

how were they cursed have you ever thought of

this? How was Eve cursed? What was her curse?

In childbirth it had to do with her role What

she was to do? She was to bear children be fruitful

and multiply their children That was Eve's responsibility.

That was one of them. Again, it wasn't the only

one. That was her curse in her childbearing.

Where was Adam's curse? In his work. He was called

to work. Very clearly, the Lord cursed him with

his work. No longer is the earth going to produce

for you easily. You're going to have to work.

By the sweat of your brow, you'll till the ground,

you'll plant. You'll produce all of these things,

but it's going to be difficult. You'll be fighting,

struggling, weeds, drought, thorns, thistles.

It's a hard life that the Lord cursed him with

in his role. So we see it there. Now let's make

this very abundantly clear. Different roles.

Is one lesser than the other? Is the woman lesser

than the man? No. How were they both created

in the image of God? They both show forth the

glory of God in the way that they're made. They

reflect God. They were both created in the image

of God. And so they're equal in that way, for

sure. 100%. Is it lesser to be a helper? Absolutely

not. Just because you're a helper and one's a

leader, one's a helper, that doesn't mean one's

less than the other. It doesn't mean one's not

more necessary than the other. Mean we could

we could think about that just in practical ways

in this world. It just didn't work You know I'm

the lead guy on the crew, but can I build a house

all by myself? Maybe I can but I Need some help

without the guys it ain't gonna get done Now

I bring One aspect to the job, they'd bring another

aspect to the job. Together, we make a crew.

Okay? Adam needed something. Adam, it was not

good for him to be alone. And so the Lord brought

him a helper. She completed him. She made up

for what he was lacking in, so to speak, there.

One guy, again, I'm no Hebrew expert, he says...

He likens this he says this could be the words

here could be translated a like opposite that

they were she was brought Eve kind of a like

opposite is kind of how the Hebrew word could

read That she's like Adam, but she's the opposite

to him. She come a compliment to him If you're

married, hopefully that's the reality and you

see that the value of your wife she thinks differently

If you're not getting counsel from her, you're

hurting yourself. She thinks differently. She

acts differently. And it's a benefit there. It's

a help. It's not good to be alone. And so there

is this equality. In the sight of God, we're

all the same. Created in His image. Not one lesser

than the other. So let's make sure that we don't

have that in our mind. That passage in Peter.

Dealing with your wives as with the weaker vessel,

right? Not lesser. She's not lesser. She's not

this subordinate little slave here. No, that's

not at all what Peter's talking about and clearly

not anywhere else in Scripture We're equal both

essential and necessary I wrote down a couple

passages here in Isaiah 66 13 and Isaiah 49 15

just Speaking of God and it likens, you know

God's Dealings as a mother You know, that's a

good thing The way a mother is made the way God

deals with us tenderly So it's not a lesser way

to be to be a woman in any way shape or form

So to be a helper is not demeaning. Let's make

sure we're clear there. So when we call our wives

a helper, if we mean that in any derogatory way,

we're not being biblical. We're not understanding

that rightly. There's nothing demeaning about

being a helper. John, what was it? John 14, 16.

How is the Holy Spirit described as a helper?

Is He less than? The father or the son? No. They're

equal, equally God. Different roles, but they're

the same. Same in power, authority, and so on.

So, there are differences in roles. There are

differences in men and women. When we speak of

men, what do we think of? So I want us to, that's

a question I want you to answer for yourself

now. What comes to your mind? What do you think

of when I say a man? Muscles. Okay, that's excellent.

Right? Muscles. We think big guy. Big strong

guy. I wrote down some stuff here. Maybe he's

got a beard. Got some muscles. Maybe drives a

nice truck. Works outdoors, likes to hunt. Kind

of like me. What do we think of? Is that what

you think about? Is that what you think of when

you think of a man? I listened to this guy a

couple weeks ago preaching on men and so he gives

that example there of strong, you know, someone

with a beard, good looking, driving this big

lifted truck, hunting, fishing, living outdoors.

And then he says, but is that a man or is the

guy in Starbucks wearing skinny jeans, drinking

a latte with his hair slicked back, clean shaven,

working on his laptop, driving a Prius? Now is

that a man? Could be. Those things don't mean

what, that's not a man. Those things have nothing

to do with being a man. You can be just as much

of a man Driving your Prius as you can, driving

your nice big lifted truck. Those things don't

mean anything. So we need to get those things

out of our mind. That's not what we're talking

about. You know, men being rough and tough, strong.

That's not biblical manhood. About arriving at

a certain age. You know, I'm 18 now. I'm 21.

I can drink. Now I'm a man. I'm 18, I can vote,

and so now I'm a man. I'm married, now I'm a

man. I've got some kids, now I'm a man. No. All

those things are not manhood. That's not biblical

manhood. You can be the most irresponsible, worthless,

lazy, self -centered, arrogant man in person.

and have five kids, what are you? Not a man,

not providing for them, not teaching them, not

training them, you're not a man. You could be

19 and be one of the greatest men out there.

If you don't know who Bruce Olson is, there's

a book, Bridge Coat, did you ever read it? 19.

He heads off to South America. Everybody told

him not to. He couldn't get support from any

missionary organization, right? But he knew.

I'm called. And he went. God used him. There

was a man. Why was he a man? Because he was 19?

Because he was out on his own doing this thing?

He was following the Lord. He was responsible.

His age had nothing to do with it. He was a man

of God. So your age, that's not manhood. Just

because you've reached a certain age or accomplished

certain things, that's not manhood. That's not

what we're talking about. So what is a man? That's

the question. What is a man? Well, there's a

million things we could say. I've got six pages

worth. We're on page two. But the first thing,

based on those passages we read there in Genesis,

what is a man? He's created in the image of God.

That's number one. What does that mean then?

What is a biblical man? What should a man look

like? A man should look like God. We're created

in His image. We should reflect Him. We should

show forth Him to the world. So I wrote down

here the communicable attributes of God. And

what we mean by that is those attributes of God

that we can exhibit. So, for example, a communicable

attribute would be faithfulness. Being reliable,

being trustworthy. Faithful. God is faithful.

Now, of course, we're not perfect in our faithfulness

like God is, but we should reflect God's faithfulness

in our lives. What are those attributes that

are not communicable? All -knowing. All -powerful.

Right? That's not us. Not even close. Okay? And

so, we don't have those. But these things that

we should have, faithfulness, truth, love, mercy,

justice, holiness, those are the attributes that

we should have and we should be displaying in

our lives. Are you faithful? Are you faithful

to what God has called you to? Are you faithful

to His Word? Are you living a holy life? Are

you mortifying the flesh? Are you dealing with

your sin and living a righteous life? Are you

trusting in Christ? Those types of things. Are

you living by faith? In those ways, we reflect

God. If you want to be a biblical, godly man,

you need to know who God is and you need to reflect

that in your life. You were created in His image.

And so that's how we should act. That's how we

should live. Those should be things that people

see in us. They should see God in the way that

we live. All men are created in the image of

God. Make sure we understand that. That should

be obvious to us. All men are created in the

image of God. That's why all throughout the scripture

it was such a terrible thing to kill a man because

that's killing the image of God. So I'm not saying

just because you're not a Christian you're not

created in the image of God. Man is created in

the image of God. As Christians we should reflect

that. so much more than all the rest of the world.

So that's one. That's number one. That's one

way. Know who God is and reflect that to the

world. The second thing here, what were some

of these commands that were given to the first

man? He was told to rule over in chapter 1 verse

28. Rule over? What does that mean? To take dominion,

management, tending, stewardship. So he was to

rule over the fish of the sea, the birds, animals,

plants. He was to take dominion, rule over this

creation that God had put him in. He was told

to subdue. To subdue is to bring under one's

control for one's advantage so to bring under

control all of this creation for his advantage

again in a loving responsible way that should

go without saying he wasn't to destroy it as

he brought it up as he brought it into his dominion

and his control he was told to cultivate and

to keep in 215 to cultivate has to do with stewardship.

Serve, work, labor, that same word is used for

the priests throughout the Old Testament. Their

work there in service to God. So they were to

cultivate. I wrote down here, active development.

So actively developing. And then in 2 .15 also

he says keep. Cultivate and keep so that word

keep protect watch over preserve active stewardship

now This is an interesting thing Where are we

in the creation narrative here in verses in chapter

2 verse 15 and in chapter 1 there has sin entered

into the world yet No So here we have God creating

the world, putting Adam in the garden, giving

him these commands. How is he supposed to do

that? How is he supposed to cultivate and keep

and subdue this perfect creation? Have you ever

thought of that? It's an interesting thought,

right? What was he doing? It was good, the Lord

said. Don't know what all he was doing But it

seems he was doing he was busy about something

Whether that was planting maybe he was making

Bright pink flowers from red and these other

colors cross -pollinating doing all these things

Everything was growing right so he was surely

there was pruning to be done Breaking leaves

leaves falling again Was there all that? But

he was actively doing what God had called him

to do. He had been given a job, had been given

responsibilities, and he was doing those things.

That is what men are to do. We have been called

to work, to do something. We have been called

to take dominion. We have been called to subdue.

We have been called to keep and to cultivate.

So we could say we've been called to work. Adam

was given work. He was given something to do.

This was before sin. So work is not because of

sin. We don't work because Adam and Eve fell.

We work because that's what we... are called

to do as men. Has nothing to do with sin. That

was before sin. So let's make sure we have a

proper understanding of our work. Work is good

for man. It is sin that says, I don't like work.

That's the sin. Get it right in your mind. We

should be working. If we're not working, we're

not being a man. Plain and simple. If you don't

work, you're not a man. Parents, if you're not

teaching your children to work, you're not teaching

them to be men and women. Plain and simple. We'll

deal with that more later. But we are called

to work. We are called to exercise dominion to

subdue now. What does that look like that looks

differently for each one of us? We all have different

spheres that we live in all right, so I have

my home I Have a house I have some land I have

some vehicles. I have a wife I have children

I'm a carpenter. I am supposed to exercise dominion

in my realm, in my garden. And I'm supposed to

do that in the ways that the Lord has shown us

in His Word. And so think of it. I'm supposed

to glorify God. I'm supposed to show forth God.

Do I do that in my home? They've said something

about this already today do do people look at

me and think that guy is Doing what he's supposed

to be doing He's exercising dominion. He's subduing

He's working. He's leading He's showing forth

the glory of God and all that he does. He's showing

that he knows who God is When people look at

us, what do they see? what does it mean to exercise

dominion so for you kids for you kids do you

have you been placed in a garden you children

yes yes you have you've been given responsibilities

hopefully do you have a room what's that room

look like look like a bomb went off Well, you're

not exercising dominion. You're not subduing.

You're not keeping. You're not maintaining. You're

allowing it to just go the way of all the world.

You have responsibilities, even as a child. As

a man, what are my responsibilities in my home?

Well, I'm to lead. I'm supposed to maintain my

home, right? I've been given this garden. I have

a house. Is it? Am I exercising stewardship,

active stewardship, as my house falls apart around

me? No. No I'm not. I am in sin. Am I exercising

dominion as my yard grows three feet tall, the

grass? And everybody's like, what is the deal

with this guy? Why won't he cut his grass? I

got rats running in my yard now because the grass

is so tall. I got trash everywhere. Am I exercising

dominion? No, I'm in sin. Plain and simple. I

am not doing what God has called me to do. God

gave me a yard. I'm supposed to maintain it.

I'm supposed to keep it. I'm supposed to cultivate

it. Do you understand the garden idea here? What

I'm talking about, we've all been given responsibilities.

We've been given a job, our work. Are we exercising

dominion there? Are we doing what we're supposed

to be doing at work? Are you that worker that

shows you know God? Think of it in that regard.

How are you doing? How are you doing these things

that God called Adam to do? We could also then

take this in the spiritual realm as well, right?

What have you been given? Well, you've been given

the Word of God. You've been put into a church.

Are you cultivating, keeping, exercising dominion?

in these things? Or are you just neglecting them?

Are you cultivating your soul? Are you reading?

Are you studying? Are you praying? Are you spending

time with the Lord? If you're not, then you're

in sin. You're not taking dominion. You're not

working in the way that you should. Work is for

everyone and in everything. So I wrote down a

couple things here. If you want to read these,

I guess we can read them real quick. But Proverbs

10. Proverbs 10 -4. Poor is he who works with

a negligent hand, but the hand of the diligent

makes rich. Supposed to be working. Second Thessalonians.

2 Thessalonians 3 10 -13 For even when we were

with you, we used to give you this order. If

anyone is not willing to work, then he is not

to eat either. For we hear that some among you

are leading an undisciplined life, doing no work

at all, but acting like busybodies. Now such

persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus

Christ to work in quiet fashion. and eat their

own bread. But as for you, brethren, do not grow

weary of doing good. 1 Timothy 5, 8 speaks of

work. But if anyone does not provide for his

own, and especially for those of his household,

he has denied the faith, and is worse than an

unbeliever. Proverbs 6, 8, Go to the ant thou

sluggard, Consider her ways and be wise. It's

everywhere in scripture. Work. Is it only for

those who need money? If you're a millionaire,

you've got all your investments set, and you're

just getting those dividends, should you have

a job? Yes. You better. You better be doing something.

You better be exercising dominion in some way.

It's what you're called to do. It has nothing

to do with how much money you have in the bank

or how much money you don't have in the bank.

So it's clear there in Genesis what Adam was

given to do. He was given work. He was given

a place to do it with specific responsibilities

and instructed to to do it and to expand. Now

that's the other thing that he was told there.

It seemed like it wasn't just in the garden.

It seemed like he was supposed to expand this

thing throughout the whole earth. Are we? Are

we doing that? We can clearly see that in the

spiritual realm. We're going to hopefully do

some of that on Saturday. Seek to expand the

kingdom of God spiritually and take dominion.

in that way. We're called to that as men. Expand

and grow in that dominion. So, we see that in

Genesis. I have also down here just responsibility.

So, Adam had responsibility. Okay Men are to

exercise responsibility. We mentioned it last

week. We are responsible to lead If we are men

and if we have a wife we are to be leading her

We take the lead in all things We cannot emphasize

that enough as men that we are to lead It was

good to hear so many young people pray this morning.

That was wonderful. We lead as men in that way.

We should be leading, setting the example, praying,

encouraging our wives, encouraging our children,

praying. That's a good thing. You can't do that

if you're not praying. You can't lead just by

saying, hey, you ought to pray. They're going

to look at you and say, well, why don't you pray?

Why should I pray? You don't pray, right? You

just look silly, look foolish. Lead in that.

That's one way that we lead. We lead not by telling

people to do things. We lead by doing and saying,

come on, come with me. We're going together Lead

men Lead in your homes lead in that way That

goes for everything Okay Men lead so all of these

these other things that I have listed down here

men are to lead in these things They should be

part of your life and you should be leading and

expecting your wife and your children to do the

same So I have it here in my head and Jesus is

our example. So what are some things that we

can take from Jesus' life? Obviously Jesus was

a man. Obviously he lived it well. He is our

example. He was a learner. Luke 2 .52 He grew

in wisdom and stature. Men should be growing

in knowledge and wisdom. leading in that. Are

you reading? Are you studying? How is that possible?

Well, you young people, if you want to become

a man, how are you going to become a man? By

hanging out with kids? Or by hanging out with

men? By hanging out with men. Gain in wisdom

and understanding as you walk alongside Men as

you see men growing and maturing you likewise

grow and mature Proverbs 13 20 walk with wise

men if you're an old per older person Walk with

wiser older people grow in your manhood. A man

is meek. We don't think of that, right? We don't

think like that very often. But a man is meek.

Jesus was meek. What is meekness? If you don't

know, let me tell you. It is power under control.

Was Jesus weak? Being meek is not being weak

Being meek is having all the power in the world

and knowing when to Use it and how to use it

Okay Men are meek We're strong and we know when

to use that strength Humility men are humble

Willing to receive correction and to give correction

Met our worshipers Ever all day every day But

also what we're at the meetings Spending time

with the Lord. We're worshipping Jesus in the

synagogue, alone in prayer, late to bed and early

to rise. That was Jesus. Late at night, ministering,

up early to pray. There's a man. There's an example

for all of us of a man who had his priorities

set. Ministering late, early with the Lord. Courageous

a man is courageous Joshua 1 6 and 7 Be strong

and courageous for you shall give this people

possession of the land which I swore to their

fathers to give them Only be strong and very

courageous. Be careful to do according to all

the law which Moses my servant commanded you.

Do not turn to the right or to the left so that

you will have success. Be strong and courageous.

What does that mean? Is he talking strength?

How is he going to be strong and courageous?

by not turning to the right or to the left, following

the commands of the Lord. A man is courageous

in following the Lord. That means when troubles

come, when false teaching comes, a man stands

and says, no, we're not going down that path.

We're going this way because that's what God

commanded. He's courageous standing for the truth

and standing against air First Kings First Kings

to one to four Another example As David's time

to die drew near, he charged Solomon his son,

saying, I am going the way of all the earth.

Be strong, therefore, and show yourself a man.

I love that. But how is he going to show himself

a man? Not by going to war, because Solomon never

went to war. He was the king of peace. David

was the warrior king. Be strong and show yourself

a man keep the charge of the Lord your God To

walk in his ways To keep his statutes his commandments

his ordinances and his testimonies that's a man

Be a man he says and follow the Lord his commands

His statutes don't depart from them. The Proverbs

are full of that. My Son, here, do not depart

from my ways. That's a man. He does not depart.

He is strong and faithful in what God has called

him to do. We have all been called to something,

and it doesn't matter if we're... Husbands, fathers,

or single young people, children, we've been

called to be men. To grow up into manhood. To

exhibit these characteristics. Responsibility.

Strength. There's nothing wrong with physical

strength. That's good. Protect your family. Work

hard. Wonderful. We're not demeaning those things.

But be strong in the Lord. And do not turn from

the right or from the left. Job 1 -1. An example

of a man. I mean, all of Job's life. There's

an example for us, right? Fear God and askew

to evil, it says. Job one one That's that's a

man This is an interesting one to me Jonathan

Jonathan was a man saw Saul's son In every way,

I mean here was a fierce warrior him and his

armor bear Going up against the Philistines He

says let's go up there armor bear says I'll do

whatever you say. Let's go They go up the two

of them and defeat the Philistines now, that's

a man Willing now, how did he go up there? Perhaps

the Lord will give them into our hands. He says

And he goes and the Lord did but who else was

this guy? What else did he do? Who was his best

friend? Whom did he love David? Who was David?

He was the one who was going to take his throne.

Yet he loved him. That was a man willing to love

the man who would take his throne. Humility,

service, strength. Jonathan. Joshua. Choose you

this day whom you will serve as for me in my

house. We will serve the Lord There was a man

Making that decision to serve the Lord to not

turn from the right or to the left Joab in second

Samuel 10 12 though Joab wasn't an example of

One to follow in all things certainly, but He

says there in 2 Samuel, play the man for our

people when they're going to battle, going to

war. Play the man for our people and for the

cities of our God. And they were victorious.

1 Corinthians 16, 13. I'm going to read this

one. Beyond the alert stand firm in the faith

act like men be strong that was Paul's instruction

here to the Corinthians Act like men be strong

Alert firm in the faith. That's a man. That's

what we're called to The Bible makes clear distinctions

between men and children Children are to grow

up into men. You do not remain a child your whole

life. If that's where you are, still acting like

a child, it's time to grow up. It is time to

play the man, to be the man that God has called

you to be. You young people, it is time. You

older people, It is time to set that example

for our children and for the young people around

us. Our definition of manhood is not based upon

our culture. That changes. You know, if we lived

back in the 20s and 30s, we would have thought,

oh, these are manly men. Today, what is manhood?

anything but what we want men calling themselves

women women calling themselves men and culture

praises that oh boy they're just I mean they're

just so strong to do that it's so wonderful no

that's depravity culture toxic masculinity no

we should be masculine we should be men We should

be taking dominion. We should be cultivating,

keeping, subduing. Obviously in love and in care

is honoring unto the Lord to be a man. Have a

right view of yourself and what you've been called

to. Have a right view of what a man is. And as

parents, raise your children to be that. Not

what the world says. Not what you just think

is a nice thing. And most importantly here, for

you parents and for you young parents, model

this. Lead in this. Your children are going to

grow up and want to be like you. Give them something

to be. Godly men, standing firm, taking dominion,

leading as God has called us to.
